She thought she was walking into a business meeting.
He thought he was walking into a blind date.
They were both wrong⌠and somehow perfectly right.
He wasnât loud. He wasnât flirty. He wasnât trying to impress her.
He was just prepared.
The kind who brought a notebook labeled Boss Suite Income Streams. The kind who asked about her goals before asking about her favorite food. The kind who said, âIf this is a business meeting, I hope Iâm the part of the business you donât mind keeping.â
And she felt something she didnât expect:
A professionalâbutâkilig spark that felt like the start of something sweet.

â âThe Boss Suite Blind Dateâ
Chinggay didnât know whether to laugh or walk out.
Her friend had told her, âWear something nice. Itâs a meeting.â So she did â clean blouse, soft makeup, hair in a neat clip. She even brought her planner, her Boss Suite notes, and her usual calm, businessâready energy.
She arrived at the cafĂŠ early, ordered her JC Barley, and waited.
At exactly 4:00 PM, a man approached her table.
He wasnât her client. He wasnât holding a laptop. He wasnât even dressed for a meeting.
He was holding⌠a notebook.
A notebook labeled âBoss Suite Income Streams.â
He sat down with a hopeful smile. âHi. You must be Chinggay.
She blinked. âYes. And you areâŚ?â
âCal,â he said. âYour blind date.â
Her soul left her body.
âMy what?â
âYour blind date,â he repeated, opening the notebook. âI prepared.â
She stared at him, then at the notebook, then at him again.
âWho told you this was a blind date?â
âYour friend,â he said. âShe said you wanted someone who understands business, so I studied Boss Suite last night.â
She covered her face.
Her friend was absolutely fired.
Cal flipped through his notebook proudly. âI made notes. See? Passive income streams. Digital assets. Affiliate structure. I even watched a video about it.â
She didnât know whether to laugh or cry.
âThis is supposed to be a business meeting,â she said.
He froze. âOh.â
They stared at each other.
Then he slowly closed the notebook, cheeks turning pink.
âI⌠may have misunderstood.â
She tried not to smile. âItâs okay. Youâre very⌠prepared.â
He exhaled, relieved. âWell, since Iâm already here⌠and youâre already here⌠maybe we can pretend itâs both?â
âBoth?â
âA meeting,â he said. âAnd a maybeâdate.â
She raised a brow. âA maybeâdate?â
âI donât want to assume,â he said gently. âBut I also donât want to leave if you donât want me to.â
Her heart did a small, traitorous flutter.
He wasnât loud. He wasnât flirty. He wasnât trying to impress her.
He was just⌠sincere.
And prepared.
Very prepared.
He opened the notebook again, but this time he turned it toward her.
âI wrote a question,â he said. âFor the meeting part.â
She leaned in.
âWhatâs the one thing you want to build this year?â
She swallowed.
âThatâs⌠actually a good question.â
He smiled. âI have good questions.â
She looked at him â really looked â and realized he wasnât here to pitch anything. He wasnât here to sell. He wasnât here to pretend.
He was here because he wanted to know her.
They talked for an hour â about business, goals, Suite & Stories, daily posting, and the kind of life she wanted to build. He listened like every word mattered. He asked questions that made her think. He laughed at her jokes. He didnât rush. He didnât push.
He just stayed.
When the sun dipped low and the cafĂŠ lights softened, he closed his notebook and looked at her.
âSo,â he said softly. âWas this a meeting⌠or a date?â
She thought about it.
âIt was both,â she said. âBut⌠maybe more of a date.â
His smile grew slow and warm.
âIn that case,â he said, âcan I schedule another one?â
She laughed â the kind that escapes before you can stop it.
âSend me your availability,â she said.
He grinned. âI already wrote it in the notebook.â
She rolled her eyes, but her heart felt light â lighter than it had in weeks.
Maybe business wasnât always just business. Maybe meetings werenât always meetings. Maybe some connections started with misunderstandings⌠and turned into beginnings.
And maybe â just maybe â this Boss Suite blind date was the start of something worth building.
