SC & MAYA’s PHONE CONVERSATION
Maya: Ser chief nandirito pa ko sa mansion.
SC: Alright I’ll call you back.
Maya: Ayy sandali lang SC, may good news ako sa’yo.
SC: Ano yun?
Maya: Mukhang bati na sila Nikki at si Luke.
SC: Buti naman, ok bye.
Maya: Ay SC sandali lang may isa pa.
SC: What?
Maya: Ano kasi kanina nag-usap kami ni Abby.
SC: And?
Maya: Tapos ano, sabi niya na sana ako na lang daw ang girlfriend mo.
SC: Really?
Maya: Really na really SC.
Catherine: Richard, you reallY can’t ignore me twice, let’s have dinner?
Maya: Sino yun?
SC: She’s our event organizer sa launch.
Maya: Hmm bakit ka niya niyayang kumain?
SC: What?
Maya: Siguro crush ka niya ano?
SC: Ha?
Maya: Ahm ang swerte swerte ko talaga.
SC: Why is that?
Maya: Eh kasi ang guwapo ng boyfriend ko, certified heartthrob.
SC: Ah she’s a friend of Gie.
Maya: Ha? kaibigan siya ni Atty Gie?
SC: Yes, and you met her, siya yun nasa restaurant kasama ni Gie.
Maya: Ahh naaalala ko na siya, siya yun malagkit kung makatingin sa’yo.
SC: I don’t know. I wasn’t looking at her I was looking at you.
Maya: Ahh ikaw talaga heart throb ka talaga, tingnan mo talagang sinundan ka pa diyan.
SC: Stop it, you’rE silly.
Maya: Uyy SC ko.
SC: Maya.
Maya: Sige na nga, ba-bye.
SC: Bye.
Maya: I love you
SC: I love you
Catherine: Someone special?
Sc: Yes, my girlfriend.
Catherine: Ohhh
Although OA kiligin si Maya dito what I like in this conversation yun pagiging honest ni SC kahit nasa paligid lang si Catherine he doesn’t mind her kahit ang tagal ng usapan nila ni Maya at naririnig niya. SC 100 pogi points ka sa akin.
Elderly Wisdom
I love what Manang Fe told Luke…”Masaya and daddy mo ngayon, hindi nyo naman ipagkakait sa kanya yun diba? In Job 32:7, “Age should speak; advance years should teach wisdom.” It is precisely these situations that lead to wisdom and I hope that Luke will open his mind and heart and heed to it’s goodness. The elders have this kind of wisdom more than the rest of us because on average they have been through many more life challenges and have overcome them. This unique perspective is a valuable lens through which younger people can view their own lives. Manang Fe’s advice seems especially relevant now. The accumulated wisdom of older people, our “experts” on living can serve as a helpful guide or a roadmap for the younger people. They bring knowledge of just about every problem a human being can go through.
Kids Speak From The Heart
Cho and Abby at a young age has been involved in sharing powerful and heartfelt conversations with their parent/parents. It is true, that kids, by nature speak the truth and from the heart. They do not rationalize their feelings but instead are honest with them, and have even encouraged their elders. like Cho with Kute. Both of these young ones have been strong inspite of what they have overcome. As parents, we often exert our authority and try to control our conversations with our children. We are so adamant that they listen to us, that we forget to listen to them. Even when they are speaking, we may interrupt them in order to say what’s on our mind. The tender conversation between Kute and Cho was a teachable moment where Kute became the student and Cho the teacher. It is Kute’s reward for being a nurturing Nanay…Nurturing children is about the way we love them…the way we bring them up. A parent’s love is our children’s destiny.
Lesson learned from the old and the young!!!!

I don’t mind if stretched na ang story, I am going through some difficulties now, and literally BCWMH is one major factor to keep my sanity intact. I badly needed their presence.
On the second thought, I don’t think the story is being dragged, they are only showing how teenagers will normally react on that kind of situation. I really like how Jerome and especially Janella are acting their characters out.
Ok naman so far ang first gap maraming nangyari kaya lang medyo comical lang si Maya habang magkausap sila ni SC sa phone at yun event organizer naririnig yun usapan nila she asked SC is “she someone special”and SC replied “yes my girlfriend”

Kute: at least kung ako yun natuloy alam ko na nandiyan ka lang pag – umuuwi ako… (ayiii) Yun naman pala kaya galit na galit siya kay Jeff. Nasanay kasi na nandiyan lang siya sa tabi nila. Naghug na sila.
Ano ba talaga ang name ng friend ni Atty. Jie??? I remember noong nasa restaurant Hannah pero when she was the event organizer naging Catherine na?
Ahhhhh baka ang complete name niya talaga is Hannah Catherine or Catherine Hannah
In fairy tales, the princess generally kisses a lot of frogs before she finds her prince. In our princess’ story, she meets some frogs who are worthy of her kisses but she chooses the one who makes her the happiest. She chooses none of the frogs; she chooses the king.
Simon is the first man that ever recognized Maya’s worth as a woman. He pursues her relentlessly not just in San Nicolas but also in Manila. He truly is not just smitten with her beauty but is genuinely in love with her. He demonstrates his affections for her by showing his support for her when he learns of her aborted flight to Dubai, he helps her keep it a secret from her own family and he reluctantly acquiesce to her request that they treat each other only as friends. Although he realizes that his love is unrequited, he continues to love her. Generously, he showers her gifts of fresh produce, beautiful flowers and little trinkets for the new family that adopted her as part of their own in Manila. His pursuit of Maya is known throughout the Lim household, from the master down to the children and the house staff. Everyone in this house, as well as the family in San Nicolas, knows that he is a man of integrity and is a great husband material. However, Maya only sees the brother she never had, in him.
Captain James Ventura, the handsome and dapper pilot, also falls under Maya’s spell. He openly and unabashedly pursues her. He initially displays his interest in her by recommending her to a flight training school. Apparently, he is just not an ordinary pilot, his family owns the airlines which provides the training Maya needs to become a flight attendant. Essentially, he helps to facilitate Maya’s dream of becoming a flight attendant. Tirelessly, he gives her numerous indications of his interest in her. He asks her out and he offers her rides to get safely home. He genuinely wants to get to know this bashful young woman who has ensnared his heart. To Maya’s chagrin, he even surprises her, by showing up at her front door in San Nicolas, unannounced. Maya, however, politely declines his offers and graciously deflects his affections.
Then there is Richard, a widower with three children. He is a businessman several years older than Maya. She initially gets to know him when he hires her to become Abby’s nanny. It takes a while for unapproachable Mr. Lim to evolve into the now-loving Sir Chief. He is initially cold and aloof, even to his own children. She wisely sees through his façade. Painstakingly, Maya helps to thaw the fortification he built around him to deal with his grief over his wife’s untimely demise. Unbeknownst to him, in doing so, he essentially chose to bury himself with the dead. Unknowingly, he resigns to an empty existence, a mere shadow of the loving and caring gentleman that he once was. But through Maya’s kindness, she coaxes him back from the dark grave that wholly swallowed him. She reintroduces him to his loved ones again, to rediscover his old self, to celebrate life once more and to reclaim what he left behind. Slowly, he starts to love himself again and allow others to love him back. Surprisingly, one day, he discovers, that the fondness that he feels for his unassuming savior, has fully developed into a deep and passionate love.
The king has fallen in love with the princess! Unplanned but not unwelcome, he finds himself wholeheartedly engaged in a courtship to win her love. He realizes that this is God’s way of blessing him with a second chance at life. Winning her heart proves none too difficult because she has long been in love him and his children. With great trepidation, they cautiously enter into a relationship aware that they have yet to secure the children’s acceptance of their new-found love for each other. As they had correctly predicted, the children are shocked when they accidentally learned of their relationship.
Consequently, the king and his princess, resolved in their quest to restore the peace that has temporarily shaken the kingdom, immediately go to work. They meet with their subjects to help them understand that deceit and betrayal are not part of their plan. Protecting their young minds and their tender hearts are the motivation that kept them from revealing the true nature of their relationship. Independently, the princess plans to disarm the subjects, err, the frogs. She is determined to even kiss them if that is what it takes to win them back into the king’s court. The two previous frogs that pursued her, she did not love. But the ones she is currently pursuing, have already taken residence in her heart.

Kaya naman pala ganun yun tone ng tanong ni Nikki kaya Maya. She’s really = dahil nalaman niya na sasagutin na ni Ayra si Nicolo. Hay naku!!! Nicolo Angelo Cortez I hate you na ulit.
Highlight ng episode today.Ser Chief said na GF nya yun kausap sa phone.Instant Coffee ni Maya na nagpangiti kay SC.
Tapos ang choices ni Ser Chief e…
1. Stefanie..puro make up…malaki dibdib at social…ummm hindi ko feel na pwedeng Mommy material for Abby.
2. Atty Gie … she is consumed by her career..couldn’t hold down a relationship and wouldn’t want to have time with the kids.
3. Catherine …red lipstick, social but a little dense..hirit ng hirit maski dinedma na….re: kids? hindi ko ma feel. Mukhang self absorbed e.
4. O si Mayabels…Malambing, mabait, matalino, determinado, maalaga, at lubos sa lahat mahal na mahal niya mga anak ni Ser Chief.
O sige….mamili kayo Luke and Nikki….
KUTEFF for the WIN! At least kahit sa huli naging cheesy naman sila sa isa’t isa haha.Though Jeff is still hoping na magkaroon ng chance sila ni Kute? Haha. Mamang’s kinikilig na parang akala mo naiihi haha.
Super bad mood itong si Nikki dahil ok nanaman si Niccolo at si Aira. Si Maya ang recipient ng pagka bad trip ni Nikki. Kahit si Luke nagulat na tinanong kay Maya ng deretso kung gf siya ng daddy nila. Nakasalalay kay Niccolo ang mood swings ni Nikki.
Kudos to BCWMH writers, directors, actors and everyone!!! Parang it’s the perfect thing to happen after that so awkward question.
bwahahahahahaha! Let’s see who might the spoon on the floor be portending.
1. It can’t be Stephanie because she does not know this house, she has only been to the old one.
2. It can’t be Atty Gie because she does not know where Richard lives.
3. It can’t be Catherine because I am sure, even though she is dense, the message got through to her that Richard has already a girlfriend.
4. It can’t be Maya because she is going to wait for Sir Chief to give her the signal that it is okay for her to come and be with the kids.
5. It can’t be Rafi because she is currently in her honeymoon with her Richard in Singapore. And she usually skypes.
So, that leaves us with………..the ghost of Alex…………………….. visiting Luke and Nikki in their sleep. wahahahahahaha. I think she will help make the case for Sir Chief and Maya. She will reassure the kids that they are not losing their Dad but in fact, they are gaining someone that will fill the role that she left!
Oh well. That is just my imagination going wild. Does anyone care to share their thoughts?

Though I was hoping na Luke pagsasabihan niya si Nikki nun sumunod siya na hindi maganda yun pagtatanong niya, na parang walang respect kahit bilang Ate man lang. Pero dahil hindi na nga nya na control yun init na ulo after the aminin ni Aira eh naiintindihan ko. Yun lang “Think Before You Speak.”
Mukha naman KALMADO na bukas. Can’t wait sa father – son – daughter masinsinan talk na tamang tama for Father’s Day!
Love the excitement of today’s episode. The ask DorBel & Joma and Manang Fe episode with Abby was priceless.
more or less up to date. so many things happen after almost three weeks of my absence. but whether i am
here or not, doesn’t matter. this is site will be alive even after the final episodes cause you have made
this site alive and kicking. and without you, it is just another teleserye.
in my point of view, it doesn’t suprise me how nikki and luke react. remember we are filipinos, unless you
are an american or different nationalities, our value that we have inherited from chinese and spanish are deeply
imbedded in our culture.

everyone knows that rich and poor have this separation like water and oil cannot mix (tubig at langis).
if you are poor, most likely you will marry a poor partner. likewise, rich will marry rich partner.
sir chief has the power to change his children attitude whether they like it or not because he is the chief
of the household. it would be different if sir chief is under the wings of their parents. asking for the permission
of the chinese parents would be next to impossible.
nikki and luke still think that maya is their nanny. and still think that maya is not in their level with regards to their
status. even today, people in the philippines think that the helpers are just helpers and to fall in love is a taboo.
i’m here right now in the philippines enjoying the luxury of having maids in the house where i don’t have to do any-
thing except counting my fingers and wait for the next meal. i was hoping that another maya would be giving me coffee
and would call me sir chief. instead we have our 69 years maid. i believe i am too young to fall
for her.
on the plane, i was hoping that maya would offer me a coffee after a wonderful slumber, instead i was awaking
at the stewardess who looked like granny. try my luck in my next life.
how maya handles the complexed situation is very admirable indeed. she could have just responded with “oh ano ba sa
iyo, mi problema ba? instead she just left to sort things out than confrontation. it could blow up like a run away train and
would have lost everything. never fight fire with fire.

I think Nikki’s reaction is consistent with her personality. Remember that she adores her Father, they do have a special bond, therefore, no one will ever be good enough for him. She just needs to work it out herself and in time she will learn to accept Maya as her Dad’s girlfriend.
Lagi sinasabi ni Nikki na Maya as FAMILY pero sa tono ng boses ni Nikki parang sinusuka niya si Maya as GF ng dad niya. Nag mukha tuloy plastic si Nikki sa pa pakikitungo niya kay Maya dati. I just can’t help but comment on the episode today coz it was so familiar to me. I was crying the time Nikki confronted Maya and esp after Maya’s reaction. Same thing happened to me years ago but I was “Nikki” then. I confronted my suspected gf of dad in front of other family members (it was a party then). Same as Nikki, I was also mad that time because a friend just left so I vented my anger towards her. Dad was there and there was this awkward silence. I was embarrassed, but decided to dwell on anger so as not to show the visitors my weakness. After the confrontation, I left and didn’t see “her” reaction. Now going back to Nikki, I felt so bad looking at the same situation happening to other people. Maybe she acted the same as Maya (walkout). We didn’t talk about it after. My dad didn’t reprimand me. We just let things happen without talking about it. I guess that’s why I’m super affected. Very heavy feeling. And no, it’s been years already, but my dad and her are not together. They are close still, but not together. Both are still single now. Well, I better send her a cake this afternoon. Oh the things bcwmh do to me. Thanks to the writers and cast. Sort of cathartic to me.

isa kang nagpatotoo sa mga eksena sa episode today. The reason why we love BCWMH so much because it depicts real life drama. Hindi yung mga kwento at eksenang imposible nagaganap sa totoong buhay.

My review of today’s episode is entitled Truth Be Told…
Truth Be Told – “Houston we have a Problem”
“Dad is it true that Ate Maya is your girlfriend?” Abby asked Richard. Richard told Abby that he can’t answer her question now but he promises to talk to her about it when he gets back home. Richard talked to Manang Fe and she told him what Nikki did but she did not know where all of this came from…just that they came home and she immediately confronted Maya. Richard told Manang Fe that he will cut short his trip and he will come home immediately to talk to the kids. Richard knows there is a big problem and he has to be the one to mend it.
In the meantime, Maya got home to the condo to a welcoming Ehman. Without a word she headed straight to her room. She tried to call Kute but Nanay T answered the phone. Maya in such a panic told Nanay T what happened. “Nay naunahan kami ng mga bata.” She told Nanay T that the kids asked her point blank if she is Richard’s girlfriend. She told her that when the kids confronted her, she couldn’t answer. She panicked. She wasn’t prepared. Nanay T tried her best to calm Maya down. Nanay T told Maya it is but natural that the kids would be curious about her and Richard because maybe they noticed how they are toward one another and sensed something was going on. Maya described to Nanay T how the kids looked at her most specially Nikki. It made her so uncomfortable she felt like getting swallowed by earth. Nanay T said that their reaction is understandable and her not responding to them confirms her guilt. She continues to tell her that the kids were probably surprised as well so they must give the kids some time. In a couple of days, they will be fine and everything will work out. Maya said she hopes so. Then Nanay T asked her what Richard said? Maya tells her that he is away at Clark. Nanay T told Maya it is imperative that she and Richard talk about this. Maya agreed.
After a short while, Maya’s phone rings. It is Richard. He tells Maya he was talking to Manang Fe and he knows what happened. Richard asked how she is doing and told her Manang Fe and he was both worried for her. She told him she is fine but she is sorry, really really sorry. Richard asked her why she is apologizing? She said because she panicked and left the kids. She knows what she did was wrong. Richard told her to relax and that she has the right to panic. “Binigla ka rin nila e.” Richard said. Maya asked him how are the kids? Richard said he hasn’t spoken to them, only Abby. “I am coming home tomorrow and I will fix everything.” he said. Maya will have to accept that is all Richard could do for now.
A little time passed, Nikki called Maya or should I say she rang Maya’s phone. Maya was so nervous she had to gather up the gumption to answer the phone. When she did, she couldn’t find the words to say and Nikki just silently waited for her to talk until Nikki rudely hangs up the phone on Maya. Whats up with that Nikki?
Back at the mansion, Manang Fe knocks at Luke’s door and she walked in on Luke staring at a photo of Richard and Maya at the dolphin show during their recent outing. Manang Fe tells him “Masaya ang Daddy mo ngayon. Hindi mo naman ipagkakait yon sa kanya di ba?” He didn’t respond.
It is still very confusing to watch Luke and Nikki react negatively to Maya being their Dad’s girlfriend. Nikki’s was condescending and said she is a nice woman but not for her Dad. Now she knows why they are hiding the truth from them. Huh? What Nikki?…will you please elaborate? Sometimes, Nikki is such a Ms Know It All. She is a smart alec little 13 year old who acts like she’s had all kinds of life experiences already. Truth be told, she doesn’t understand how to be in someone else’s shoes besides her own. When she acts this way, it is truly hard to think of her as the nice little girl who is loving, sweet and playful. Luke is worst. He has no backbone and no mind of his own. He cannot draw his own conclusion about anything without the influence of his sister. Just about a week ago I was praising him, now, it is hard for me to see the real Luke that I thought was kind, loving, broad minded and smart. I have seen him being condescending as well specially toward Nicolo. I hope they don’t make these kids out to be the bearer of negative vibes in this story. For now, I digress…
Tawang-tawa ako nung talagang pinaghintay lang ni SC si Catherine habang nakikipag-ulayaw at aylabyuhan sa gf nya! Kung medyo sensitive si Catherine/Hannah, e umalis na sana sya, kaso tumayo pa rin dun habang sya ang pinag-uusapan? Makapal din.

Sagasaan ko ng eroplano ang maarteng Ira at Catherine na yan! Panira lang ng mood, hay naku, dapat kay Nikki maghanap ng iba para di siya bugnutin.
Love ko pa rin si Nikki Grace Lim kahit rude and disrespectful ang way of asking niya, she adds spice sa show. Nag trigger lang yong galit niya cause of Ira but super curious na sila to know the truth. Sa pag balik balik ba naman ni Maya sa mansyon may something na, you don’t necessarily do that if hindi ka na nag tratrabaho don.
Kute and Jeff scene was so heart warming. Sila ang nagdagdag ng kilig. I’m happy for Tom naman since naka lead role na siya sa GMA but, I’m still hoping na kahit sa finale may chance na maging sila ni Kute. Baka mag ala Richard Poon and Maricar Reyes tong si Sir Chief and Maya, first kiss sa kasal na lang.
Meron lang akong points to ponder on….
KUTEFF: Well at least magiging happy naman ang paghihiwalay nila. Malay mo mag-extend at mag-extend ang show at bumalik si Jeff.
CATHERINE: HANNAH ka ng Pooh! Pahiya ka kanina noh…
SONNY: Nainggit kay Liza…. shipper na rin siya!

right off the bat, i still give the whole series a 5-star rating – i’m in love.
however, for today’s episode, i cannot hand out my stars for 4 of the categories i made up myself —kilig-much, pass the kleenex, rock n roll—cuz i felt there were not enough scenes shown to warrant handing out stars for these categories.
instead, i give june 12 episode an overall rating of G-R-R-R one star (it could have been better). it is too bitin for comfort. there could have been more time alloted for maya n SC’s fone conversation that they could have, for reassurance, exchanged sweet-nothings especially in the current situation. what this episode did to me was just hold my breath all throughout, that it is as if i was the one whose hand was caught in the cookie jar and now waiting for my much-deserved punishment. (something’s wrong with editing i suppose?)
i could just imagine the tension the creative team is currently undergoing. sobrang daming expectations…sin-dami ng ‘we-bulong’ or peeps’ suggestions on episodes, be they past or forthcoming. definitely not an enviable position.

Ang daming mga kontrabida na nagsidatingan sa episode ngayon ah. Kagaya nyo nginatngat ko rin ang kuko ko sa confrontation scene, but thankfully, kinilig ako sa phone convo ni Maya at SC na pinarinig kay Hannah/Catherine, whatever her name is. At least after a couple of weeks kinilig ako ulit. In that kilig scene, I was also wondering what Nikki’s reaction would be if SC were to introduce Hannah, Ghie or Stephanie as his GF. Would her reaction be the same as her reacton to Ira? And speaking of Ira, if she becomes Nicolo’s GF, would she also be a mainstay of the show? I don’t get her role in all of this. I thought at first that Nicolo was just using her to make Nikki jealous but it seems that Nicolo is actually serious about her.
Epic lang yung scene with Joma, DorBel, Manang Fe at Abby. Nakakatuwa. Pasahan ng pasahan. Si Abby tuloy, nagmukhang ewan.
I love it when Sir Chief said “I love you too” in front of Catherine and *in-your-face-right-smack-in-the-middle!* naman kay Catherine when she learned Sir Chief is talking to his girlfriend this made my day.
For Baby Abby…..wow ! She’s so she’s so happy!…Kay Baby Abby nalang muna ako. Habang waiting for my Minkies and Monkies to rescue……
Ang tigas kaya ni Catherine/Hannah…that’s why hindi umalis kasi hopia sya na sasama si SerChief sa kanya for dinner ayun at na in your face siya ni SerChief ng linya na ito “my Girlfriend”

si Luke kahapon di pa ako sure kung ano stand nya pero from this episode feeling ko tinimbang nya si Maya as girlfriend ng dad nya and sad to say Maya fell short of his expectations. that resigned attitude when he feigned of wanting to rest then turned his back on Manang Fe after the latter dropped some words of wisdom regarding their dad’s happiness showed that Luke’s fondness for Maya borders only to her being an accelerated member of their household helps. sincere sila sa achievements ni Maya and all but as an ate only. siguro nga he cannot contain the thought that Maya is no longer just an affiliate family member but is now his father’s girlfriend and soon to be a permanent figure and influence in their household. fine i will give him the benefit of the doubt but i am disappointed in him. i thought he could have at least help Nikki realise her mistake because he showed such gentleness and maturity in handling Nikki’s issue with Niccolo and Aira. hay i just expected too much from the Lim kids. buti pa si Abby. her wish is simple yet absolute. iba nga talaga ang mga inosenteng bata na di corrupted ang mga utak.
so eto na ngayon, okay lang sa kanila si Maya as a family member likened to a relative but not as an equal or partner to their dad. sa point na yan kaya kong intindihin pero di madaling tanggapin especially when they are the recipients of Maya’s love and devotion to their family. sa sobra nilang preoccupied sa mga personal businesses nila growing up di nila nakita how Maya brought stability and happiness to their miserable lives. siguro nga dahil mga bata ang sa akin lang to justify that thought eh naisip lang siguro nila na kasama yun sa ibinayad ng dad nila kay Maya nung panahon na yaya pa lang sya. a sad thought but then that is the conclusion i drew after watching this episode.
i am not going to assume too much kasi known ang mga writers to create twists in the story that will make a huge impact on how people think and see each scenario. the formula they created ignites our inner thoughts affecting our own reasoning and understanding if situations like these happen in our lives. these too also give us a glimpse of our selves when confronted with such predicaments that is why there are many differences in opinions. all in all BCWMH is successful in engaging its viewers to think beyond what is the norm or typical of a tv drama. bravo BCWMH kahit marami kayong pinapagigil to the point of boredom na daw LOL. hala ayaw pa kasi nung iba mamahinga eh (ngeek na divert ang essence ng post).
I don’t want to dwell with the negative things I see on the show.
— 100 points for SC! Ano ka ngayon girl? After this debacle with the kids it would be easier to shout to the world your love. Patience is a virtue SC.

Nalaman na ni SC ang nangyari kasi tumawag si Abby tinatanong kung gf niya si Maya. Kinausap ni SC si manang Fe.
Sabi ni SC kay Abby pagbalik na lang pag-usapan yung sa gf.
Tinawagan ni Maya si Kute pero si Nanay Teresita ang sumagot. Nag-usap sa phone si Maya and Sir Chief. Uwi daw siya bukas and they’ll fix everything.
SC, you have a difficult road ahead of you, and today is just the beginning of many more of this kind of conversation. It would have been more effective and loving if you had sat down while you spoke to the children. The stance that you took…standing up with your arms folded does not foster open communication, but fear and authority. You intention was not to lecture, but to know what the children are thinking of and feeling. Being a CEO, you do exert a great amount of authority to be respected, but these are your children and you want to know their heart, you do not need to earn their respect anymore…you already have it. I think there’s a big difference in how mother’s communicate with their children about difficult situation. Mother’s tend to be more descriptive, personal and encouraging. Mother’s facilitate immediate communication, while father’s tend to offer less immediate support in the face of their frustration thus prompting their children to adapt problem solving skills. Thus leaving Luke and Nikki tossing and turning in their confusion and trying to understand it on their own.
Nikki: Don’t we have a say kung sino? I don’t want her for you dad. I mean, I don’t understand what you see in her… I want to understand why you love her. Nikki, you don’t understand, or you don’t want to understand? Did you forget what she has done for Abby? She loved her beyond what was asked of her. She is a Friend…playmate…a counselor…did you also forget, that when no one could be there for you when you were chosing your prom dress, she dropped what she was doing and rescued you from your misery. You were able to go to the prom, because she was willing to be your chaperone, and she did it ,so you would be happy. She spared Luke from the scheming plans of Iniego and Co. And more importantly, she brought life into the Lim household and a put a smile in your dad’s face again.
“You can’t chose who you love.” Remember, Maya chose to love you. She could have chosen Simon or Captain James who were both persistent and expressive in their love for Maya. And both were not hard to love because they both have qualities that any women would die for. When we fall in love, we love with our hearts, but we also take our brains with us. I guess what I want to say is…you can’t chose who you fall in love with…but you can chose who you commit yourself to…
My only solace is SC’s parting words …I would have not loved Maya, if I did not see that she loved you too. Ay ewan..mabigat parin ang loob ko. So sad!!!!
Now that there will be a movie, I think the teleserye will end soon and there will not be a wedding…I wonder how the teleserye will end and begin again with the movie. Maybe Maya will fly abroad…

Ser Chief also said “But love doesn’t give you any choices. We cant choose whom we love and when we fall in love…” I disagree. We choose the person we love but maybe we cant help falling inlove. Some people choose to love someone who are not good for them. It is a choice! There is always an explanation why we love someone.
I am happy that Ser Chief handled the situation very well. He let Nikki speak what’s in her heart. He is a good person, a good father. I love the line (for tomorrow’s episode) “Huwag kang kabahan nandito lang ako”, you earned a million of pogi points! Just like what my husband said to me all the time “no matter what I am here for you, I am not going anywhere.” You see, Ser chief character exist in real world not just in TV. I got my own ser chief in my life.
“Why her? Why do you love her?” How quickly Luke and Nikki forget how their lives were before Maya. They feared their own father so much that they couldn’t even approach him just to say good night. Richard was there just to represent a “father”, but he was so disconnected. No one else bothered to “fix” the family. Everyone in the house just accepted the bad situation they were in and no one dared to talk about it. Maya single handedly changed all that. Even if she knew she will go up against the head of household, Richard, she was determined to make that house a home with loving family living in it. It even came to a point that the Lim family became a priority over her own dreams. She opened Richard’s eyes to the truth that there are three little souls who need a better father.
As I mentioned before, Richard meeting Maya was an accident, being friends is an unexpected, and falling in love was beyond their control. You really can’t pick and choose who you fall in love with. If that’s the case, then each person would have the perfect love story. But reality, emotions are not something we can always control. We feel the way we feel. Some people are just experts on controlling their emotions but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel. As much as Richard and Maya tried to control theirs, their love for each other is just way too strong that it is beyond them and they had no choice but to surrender. If Nikki wants Richard to be able to choose who he falls for, she’s basically asking him to be a machine, some what a robot, which shouldn’t be problem with Richard. My heart once again is breaking in million pieces for Richard, especially when he walked out of Nikki’s room after their conversation. Sadness, disappointment and pain are so visible in his eyes. These bad emotions are once again taking over his sweet smiles that could light up a whole room. He is someone people think has everything. Power and wealth, but one thing he always struggles with, true happiness. Life is almost tormenting him. Life would bring him up so high just to let him fall so far, just like what happened with Alex. Now, with Maya, another taste of happiness, but in a verge of losing it. Richard is a leader that no one sees his breaking point. Regardless of the circumstances, he always comes out ahead. That is because he draws his strength from the people he loves. So what happens if that source of strength is the one that is falling apart? In what point this man is going to break? Looking at him, I would say, this is the first time I saw a trace defeat in his face. He’s barely holding it together. He’s stuck between the reason why lives, his children and the reason why he’s living now, Maya. Walking away from what he has with Maya is not an option anymore. How can you walk away from someone, if that someone is the only person holding your heart together in one piece? Maya reaches to his core and awakens his soul. Sure, he was a decent father back then. He provided for the family, but that’s about it. Richard was only about the technicality of being a parent, but there were no emotions involved. With Maya, he allows himself to be human and feel. He allows himself to be sad when he’s sad. Happy when he’s happy. Mad when he’s mad. Because, with Maya whether if it’s the good and the bad and the ugly, Richard knows Maya will still see the real him. When Nikki and Luke told him that they trust him with whatever he decides in terms of him dating, was that only half meant? Because at the moment, sounds like, the two children are questioning everything. Richard admits to his shortcomings as father, but ever since he had an epiphany, he focused his energy to be the best father there is to his three children. Even with the things he doesn’t completely comprehend, for example what a teenage girl goes through, and he still tries to be there. When Luke gave him a go signal that he deserves to have a life and be happy, he went for it. But now it seems like that was a trap. Along with Richard, I was confused as well on why the children are against this? Maya had done nothing but love him and the whole family. He’s finally doing something that makes him happy, but the two children are singing a different tune. Nikki and Luke are well aware how Richard mourned when Alex passed away and how long it took for him to finally move on. Now that their father found his reason to love again, they should be the first ones to share that happiness with him. Unfortunately, instead of Luke and Nikki uplifting him, they’re the ones holding him back. Abby on the other hand is only tiny positive voice Richard and Maya are hearing. Abby’s love is so pure and unconditional. At 7yr old she had to deal with loss and pain, but because of Maya she learned how to love. Maya taught Abby, regardless of what life throws at you, never lose that spirit and courage to keep living. How I wish these children could see the situation how Abby sees it.
So sad… there was real sadness in his eyes when the 2 teens left to go to their rooms after Nikki said that she was “happy” for him, followed by Luke’s “congrats”… after he said “of course, baby” to Abby’s “can I call Ate maya” then looked at Manang Fe… when he just kept silent when Maya sort of asked him about the kids not liking her to be his girlfriend… when Nikki said “I don’t want her for you… and that she can’t understand why he loves her… and why her (referring to Maya)?”… when he was telling Manang Fe that he’s going to see Maya… and when he was driving on his way to see Maya…
I think, today’s episode focused more on Sir Chief’s emotional state after knowing of the kids’ (Luke and Nikki) take on this development in his love life… I hope seeing Maya would at least ease some of his hurt…
Kahit fictional characters lang sila, they do make me feel emotional… I hurt with them… the other day, with Maya… today, with Sir Chief… it’s painful… hurts like hell…

Richard returns home and gathers everyone for the much-needed talk with the kids. Manang Fe is by their side probably for moral support not only for Richard but also for the kids. Nikki started by saying that if this is all about what happened yesterday she was just curious that is why she asked her Ate Maya. Then Abby asked if it is true that Ate Maya is his girlfriend. Manang Fe looked at Richard anticipating what he is about to say. “Yes, Maya is my girlfriend.” Richard answered. Abby let out a huge sigh and a big smile. Nikki’s head hang down and closed her eyes briefly as if she was sorry to hear the confirmation straight from Richard. Nikki and Luke glanced at each other. Abby was over the moon clasping both her hands in extreme joy. She turns to her sister and tells her she was right after all. Ate Maya is indeed Dad’s girlfriend. “I was waiting for the right time to tell you but (and he turns to Nikki) you went ahead and asked Maya about it.” Richard continued. With Nikki’s head bowed she tells her Dad that they were just curious. Richard understands and says, “I know”. Abby asked her Dad if having a girlfriend means that they are always together? Richard said “Yes.” Then she asked if it is like having a best friend except it is between a boy and a girl? Richard says not quite. Then she said but Kuya Luke and Ate Joey were like that. Richard says “It’s a different kind of relationship where a man and a woman are committed to one another. It’s like a special relationship with someone special… Someone you love. “ Luke looks at his father and he could sense the sincerity in Richard’s voice, in his demeanor in answering Abby’s inquisitions in simple words, directly and lovingly. Then Abby asked if Richard loves Ate Maya like she loves her? Richard said “Yes I love Maya.” Abby couldn’t contain her happiness. She was ecstatic. Nikki looks away from Abby, lets out a silent sigh looking disgusted. Luke looks on, his face blank. Manang Fe is elated by Abby’s reaction. And in a halfhearted manner Nikki tells her Dad she is happy for him. (Really Nikki? Why don’t you show how much huh?) Luke followed suit and with a slight smile on his face (I have hope for you Luke) he said Congrats to Richard and then they both excused themselves. Richard stood there and sadly gazed at both kids as they went up the stairs. He looked almost like he wanted to cry because their reaction is breaking his heart. Even though he anticipated some resistance from them I don’t think he prepared himself for the hurt that this is giving him at this moment. The only bright light is his little angel Abby who broke his thoughts when she asked if she could call her Ate Maya. “Of course” Richard said with a glimpse of a smile on his face that only his sweet angel could muster off of him.
I am thankful that Abby is a part of this family talk for she carries the bright light of hope that Richard and Maya will surpass this eventually. She, in her most innocent heart and mind now understand what true love is, coming from no one else but her loving Father (as it should be). I admire Richard for being such a good parent. He was strong, he had courage, and he had patience, sincerity and love. This is enough for the kids to mull over for now.
WHAT A SPEECH! lesson on love 101 direct from the heart of SC. love is… a feeling beyond logic…analysis…explanation. it just happens. it doesn’t give one any choices as to who to love and when to fall in love. one can’t analyze why he feels the way he does about people.

There were so many memorable lines in this episode most especially coming from our Sir CHief, but one line that stung my heart came from Nikki “What did you see in her, Dad?” Ang sakit naman nun. Bakit Nikki, ano ba ang criteria mo ng perfect partner for your dad? Sige kung gusto mo bourgeois katulad nyo sayong sayo na ang mga the likes ni Catherine. BUT, never expect her to love you all unconditionally. NO one can ever match Maya’s love for you kahit di kayo kadugo she’s always willing to sacrifice for you guys. Luke, ewan ko din sayo. I do hope we get a clearer understanding behind the kids’ poor reaction.
Sir Chief, you are one of a kind. A true Knight in Shining Armor. Lalakeng may backbone. IYOu have left me speechless after you have beautifully professed of your love to Maya in front of the kids. Saludo ako sayo!

For this episode today, I sum iit up into one word. Bittersweet. Mamaga mga mata ko tomorrow, pero at the same time I’m happy because this episode has given me all the answers to all my questions and cleared up all my confusions in past few days.
Mga kapamilya, I know na marami sa inyo ang nagtatanong kung bakit Nikki and Luke re-acted this news very negatively. I already said my piece about this in my previous comments. What remains unanswered in my mind before this episode is why Nikki think that the reason why their Dad is hiding it because he’s ashamed that his now girlfriend is their former Nanny. Most of us has even jump to conclusion that Nikki is so Matapobre and Hyposcrite. But I believe in the saying na “Hindi malalayo ang bunga sa puno”. Therefore I believe it when Daddy Singkit said that her daughter is mabait.
With this premise, I am force to look beyond the square kasi nga I believe that deep down inside Nikki is a good person just like her Dad. It’s very rare na mamunga ng mangga ang Chico di ba. So here’s my take in all of this. You may not agree with me, but I will welcome all your comments.
Nikki’s respect for Maya is still there. My proof are these: 1. She still calls her Ate Maya” Mabait naman si Ate Maya but …” 2. Yesterday, she rang her. We don’t know the reason why she rang because they didn’t talk. She didn’t say anything, neither did Maya. But I believed that if Maya had answered the phone,Nikki would have apologise for her behaviour. 3. In today’s episode, she felt guilty na nainis siya sa kanyang Ate Maya, that’s why she asked Luke whether it’s wrong na she felt that way. Luke’s non-verbal response told her that she has every right to feel inis.
When Manang Fe told Daddy Singit, na “kahit sinong babae ang pinakilala mong nobya, ganoon din ang maging reaction nila. ” I remembered Nikki’s word doon sa Episode where Richard announced that he has a Girlfriend already. She said” I’ll reserve my comment when I see her.”
With these in mind, it dawned on me, that the real reason that she doesn’t like Maya for her Dad is not because Maya was their former Yaya nor because Maya ay galing sa hirap. I think the real reason is because Nikki expects that the new Girlfriend would have some similarities or attributes of her Mommy. Let’s not forget that this young lady loves her Mommy so much and she probably misses her more now that she’s undergoing her first teen crush and most likely first heartbreak. She probably remembered her Mommy so clearly now to be very confident, glamorous and classy , probably prim and proper lady. She already have this expectation na this new girlfriend ay ganito rin. Her expectation is not met by Maya because ,even if Maya is now a Flight Attendant, she remembered her clumsiness and she’s rough around the edges. But I believe, that the underlying reason of these all, is that Nikki is still not prepared to accept anyone that would replace their Mommy in her Dad’s heart.

Nikki is a young woman/child who her Dad can be proud to call his daughter. It is a testament to Richard that Nikki has grown to be the intelligent, loving and sensitive girl that she is. Despite being raised by a part-time single parent, she turned out okay. She may be a little rough around the edges but it is nothing that can’t be fixed when given the proper guidance. It is a given that Nikki loves her Dad and no one can argue about that. However it is in the way that she chooses to express it that she is being panned on.
She is protective of her Dad. In a way, she becomes the devil’s advocate for him by providing the check and balance she feels he needs to make sure that he is not making a mistake in choosing Maya. Being mindful of the societal norms that her social class adheres to, Nikki is essentially reminding her Dad to rethink his decision. She feels that her Dad’s brain is not engaged; that he is just following what his heart dictates.
Nikki’s personality is that of a rigid type A personality. She grows up in a privileged lifestyle. She lives in a mansion, as oppose to a house, a gated community secured by armed guards, attended to by more than one servant, driven by a chauffeur, attends an exclusive private school and socializes with children coming from similar social backgrounds. Without anyone teaching her, she inherently adopts the acceptable sets of behavior and ethics that her social circle closely adheres to. She sets her own standards and she sets it high. Taking her cue from their status in life, her goal is not to veer off too far from it. By default, she is the self-appointed guardian to the family’s social reputation.
Moreover, she enjoys being at the top of her class by maintaining her top academic standing. She likes to be popular and she is the leader of her few and chosen group of friends and her theatre club. She maintains high standards for herself and she expects no less from those around her. Consequently, she looks down on people who fall short of her expectations. She essentially taught herself how to behave. After all, she has no Mom to guide her and she has a Dad who is totally consumed with building a business empire. She, in no way, begrudges her father’s part-time parenting because she understands that she can only have the lifestyle that the family enjoys because he works hard to maintain it.
Undoubtedly, she likes to play by the book, making sure that she crosses her “T”s and she dots her “I”s. In school it means that she is never late to class and her homework is always turned in on time. This mindset easily transfers into how she views life. She wants to maintain, guard and secure her family’s status in society. She wants to adhere to the unwritten but commonly adhered to mores and conducts for their kind. She does not want her Dad to lose his high class standing and societal foothold by being seen dating outside his social circle and outside his ancestral background. So she attempts to rein her Dad in by asking the question (not verbatim but the gist of the message that she wanted her Dad to grasp): “Does it have to be Ate Maya?”
That question is delivered with all the love that she can muster, although it is presently laced with venom, she is invariably letting him know that she is deeply concern for her Dad and how society will treat him if he goes the path he is currently taking. She doesn’t want her Dad to be alienated. Yes, it is the 21st century but in reality not much has really changed in the Philippines since Jesus was born. Needless to say, she is also concern for her siblings and how their friends will treat them when they find out that their Dad is openly defying their social class’ self-imposed set of social decorum. She does not want her family to become a social pariah. Her voice is almost pleading and she is even volunteering her assistance to help him secure THE ONE that she feels is the appropriate and acceptable one for him…..and for their kind. “Don’t we have a say kung sino?”
Nikki likes to play it safe. She wants to stay within the box. She hates taking risks. She is scared of zip lines. She does not want to cause unnecessary waves. And for Maya to enter her Dad’s life means her life, as she knows it, is going to turn upside down.

‘Be Careful With My Heart’ forever? Jodi says OK
Kilig-serye’ to reach one year on air
MANILA, Philippines — Jodi Sta. Maria said she is open to the prospect of “Be Careful With My Heart” having several more extensions, even to the point of staying on air “forever.”
This, after the 30-year-old lead star of the top-rating daytime series disclosed to reporters on Tuesday that it will reach one year on air, having been extended until July.
“As of the moment, I think abot pa tayo hanggang July. Kung mag-extend pa, sasabihin naman nila ‘yon,” Sta. Maria said at the sidelines of a press conference launching her latest endorsement.
First aired in July 2012 and originally set for a one-season run, “Be Careful With My Heart” has been extended numerous times due to its popularity.
The last announced extension of the “kilig-serye” placed its final episode some time in June.

‘Forever’ on air
In April, ABS-CBN president and chief executive officer Charo Santos-Concio said in jest that the series will stay on air “forever,” when asked if it will be extended once again.
“It will be there forever. Hanggang magkaroon ng apo (laughs)… As long as the public is supporting ‘Be Careful With My Heart,’ it will be there,” she said.
Asked on Tuesday if she is willing to portray Maya for a long period of time, comparable to the run of the well-loved sitcom “John En Marsha,” Sta. Maria said, “Wala namang problema.”
Aired from 1973 to 1990, “John En Marsha” is a situational comedy series that centered on the Puruntong family, with late actors Dolphy and Nida Blanca leading the cast.
Of having a similarly long run as the sitcom for her daytime series, Sta. Maria said, “As long as alam namin na gusto pa ng tao na panoorin ‘yung show, alam namin na maraming pang nai-inspire sa pinapalabas namin, maraming natututo sa ‘Be Careful With My Heart,’ bakit naman hindi? Kung iyon ‘yung serbisyo na maibibigay namin para sa mga tao…”

Ang swerte naman ng wife niya. I just hope that Maya will act maturely and with dignified look para perfect na talaga sila but she has to maintain her kalog style pa rin especially with ser chief. Hayyy I’m so in love with this teleserye.
Big-screen ‘kilig’?
Apart from the TV series, “John En Marsha” spawned several film titles.
Addressing reports that “Be Careful With My Heart” will similarly have a big-screen version, Sta. Maria said that while there is interest in producing a film, “accommodating” it has proven to be challenging.
“January palang, may mga haka-haka nang gagawin siyang pelikula, pero gusto man naming gawing film siya, ang problema lang kasi ay ‘yung time,” she said.
“Kasi meron kaming tour, nagte-taping na kami ngayon almost everyday, dahil hand-to-mouth ‘yung programa, so hindi namin sure kung kaya pa bang i-accommodate ng schedules namin ‘yung pelikula. Pero if there’s a will naman, there’s a way. Abangan nalang din,” she said.
Learning from Maya
With the massive success of “Be Careful With My Heart,” which is credited for “re-writing” daytime programming on local TV, Sta. Maria said she has felt its impact on her 15-year career.
But the actress is cautious not to let the fame “get to her head.”
“This is something that’s temporary. Hindi ko siya iniisip talaga. Sabi ko nga e, siguro na-appreciate lang ako now ng mga tao bilang aktor, pero I am still the same person, I still do the same things,” she said.
She added: “Fame is something na hindi mo dapat nilalagay sa ulo mo, e. It’s not permanent, lahat naman puwede mabago.”
Nonetheless, Sta. Maria said she welcomes the personal changes brought about by her cheery and optimistic character in the series.
“Nabago outlook ko sa buhay, kasi kahit ako, e, natututo ako kay Maya. I’m learning a lot from my character, kasi kumbaga siya kasi, si Ms. Positivity ‘yun, e,” she said.
“Kahit gaano na kapangit ang isang sitwasyon o isang bagay, she still sees na may maganda paring idudulot ‘yung sitwasyon na ‘yon, so in a way, yeah, may natututunan din ako sa kanya,” she said.

Richard is a very loving father. The way he told the truth to the kids about his relationship with Maya was done in good faith and he only wants nothing but the best for his children. Luke and Nikki needed more time to understand and realize that their dad needs someone that will love and care for them. He knew that Maya is the right girl who will treat his children like her own. Nasaksihan ng buong bayan ang love story ni Maya at ni Ser Chief sa Be Careful with my Heart at ngayong opisyal nang magkarelasyon ang dalawa, tuloy-tuloy ang kanilang pagpapakilig sa buong bayan.
At ngayon ngang bukas na sa pagsasabi ng “I love you” ang dalawa sa isa’t isa, masaya din si Jodi sa kinapuntahan ng relasyon ni Maya at ni Ser Chief. Aniya, “Well ako honestly happy ako for Maya and Sir Chief siyempre lumevel up na sila ‘di ba? I’m sure gustong-gusto yun ni Maya kasi matagal niya nang inaasam yun. Ayun saka nakakatuwa kasi yun din naman ang gusto ng mga manonood natin ‘di ba? Yun din ang inaabangan nila so kung ano man yung gusto nila yun yung ibibigay natin sa kanila.”
Kahit si Richard ay natutuwa na ngayon ay may katuwang na rin si Ser Chief sa buhay. At isa pa rin sa pinag-uusapan ng buong bayan ay ang pagtawag ni Maya kay Ser Chief ng “Chi-ko” na shortcut ng “Chief Ko.” At maging dito ay naaaliw na ibinahagi ni Jodi ang kanyang opinyon tungkol kay Maya. “Alam mo hindi ko alam e kasi si Maya maraming gustong mangyari sa buhay niya. Gusto niya ‘Buko’ para daw ‘buhay ko.’ Meron siya ‘Be-ko’ para ‘baby ko’ meron siyang ‘Chiko’ kasi ‘Chief ko’ tapos meron din siyang Babe pero ewan ko tignan natin. Nikki in her own mind can’t comprehend what SC told her because she’s not mature enough to understand. She doesn’t have a concept of what true love is. Selfish and approach, especially when she said “we don’t have a say on this” and “I don’t like her for you dad”. She was still trying to control others lives but I am sure given the same situation with her she wouldn’t want anybody to meddle with her business.
Luke I think is contemplating what his Dad said especially the advice SC gave him at PUS when Joey and Luke broke up. He is understandin it bit by bit and will come around eventually.
Luke and Nikki didn’t tell their Dad any valid reasons why they don’t like Maya for him other than they don’t like her.

I still give this show 5 stars because it’s well written and acted. It is very realistic and true to life. Life can’t always be a bed of roses, it need thorns to make it exciting. Challenges and obstacles make success sweeter. Ang ulam daw kapag maraming rekado mas masarap. Kaya lang these last 2 weeks masyadong maraming maanghang, maalat and mapaiit na spices ang nilagay sa BCWMH. I hope next week maraming asukal and panutsa ang ilagay para sweet.

MANILA, Philippines – No one is more surprised than Jodi Sta. Maria herself with the “second wind” her career is getting. Thanks to the success of her ABS-CBN teleserye Be Careful With My Heart.
“This is something that I didn’t expect to happen. I was already OK doing supporting roles before and just doing what I want to do, which is acting. I love acting! It is really my passion,” the 30-year-old actress said in a recent interview.
While she’s not really like her onscreen alter-ego, the provincial lass-turned-nanny-with-big-dreams Maya (“She’s too positive. I mean in real life, there’s still that percentage that we’re skeptical and jaded about things. But I’m learning a lot from her”), the character struck her as endearing from the get-go.
When the TV project was first pitched to her last year, “I (immediately) wanted to give life to the character… and the show, I really believe in its story, concept, characters, although at the back of my mind, I was thinking, if this won’t be a hit, what will it say about me as an actor? This could either make me or break me because this is the first show wherein I’m the lead. But I really wanted to do it, I wanted to try a new genre, a romcom, after doing so many kontrabida roles in the past.”
Debuting July of last year, the “experimental” daytime series, which stars Jodi opposite Richard Yap as her love interest “Sir Chief,” has since turned top-rater, meriting several extensions and seeing no end yet, or at least not this month contrary to previous announcements.
Given that the show has established Jodi as a formidable lead star, would she still accept character and supporting roles after Be Careful? “Well, as long as the role is meaty. There are really no bit roles. In a show, for me, everyone is important,” she said.
One of the visible signs that the show has done wonders to her career is the increase in endorsement deals, the latest of which is with Purefoods Funstuff Nuggets (the kiddie-favorite nuggets now come in various shapes and flavors) with her seven-year-old son, Thirdy Lacson.
Doing commercials/advertisements with Thirdy affords Jodi the additional opportunity for some mother-and-son bonding amidst her hectic schedule.
“What I usually do is I have certain days blocked off per month so that I can spend time with him to compensate for days when I was working or days when I had to attend to my businesses. We go out of town, out of the country. I bring him to my tapings. At a very young age, Thirdy has been exposed to showbiz because I came back to showbiz when he was one year old. So, he’s aware of what’s going on, he knows the environment.”
According to Jodi, the plus point of exposing him to her work is that “while I’m away, he knows where I’m at. When I say, ‘Mommy’s working,’ he knows where I am. So far, I don’t see any disadvantage in it because first of all, I don’t let him stay up late during tapings. When I know it’s time for him to go home, I send him home. And I think it’s good to expose him to different people. For me, it’s essential to his development. But my purpose really, is for him to know what mommy’s work is like.”
Jodi also realizes that such exposure has fanned the interest of her son to follow in her footsteps.
“Yes, that’s true. I know that. I’m sure one day, he’ll tell me, ‘I want to be in showbiz.’ But not now… Siguro ang di lang niya gusto about my job is the puyatan because when we were shooting the commercial, he enjoyed it. He enjoys performing and acting before the cameras. But what he doesn’t like about it is the puyat (long hours). So, he said, ‘Mommy, okay na ako sa commercial, but sa work mo, ayoko mapuyat, gusto ko matulog,” Jodi shared.
Thirdy wasn’t around during the press launch of the Purefoods Funstuff Nuggets endorsement as he’s touring Europe with his father.
Just as she was mum in the past on what led to the breakdown of her marriage, Jodi also chose not to discuss the status of her annulment.
Asked if Thirdy has been expressing any wish for a complete family, Jodi admitted, “Before… But then, he’s been able to adjust to the situation already. He has accepted it and I have never kept anything from him para di na rin siya umasa.”
When Jodi brought Thirdy with her on Be Careful With My Heart’s US tour last month, it brought back memories of when they used to settle in L.A. several years ago before deciding to return to the country.
“Actually, I got a bit nostalgic. You can’t help it. From the smell to the ambiance, parang I can’t help but think, ‘Wow, this was where I was just a few years back and now I’m here again,’ but as a performer this time. When we were going around, I pointed out to Thirdy one by one — ‘This was the hospital you were born… this was the exit (on the freeway) that we would take on our way home…’ I wasn’t being sentimental about the past or anything. I did it so that my son knows where he was born, where he was from,” Jodi related sans any wistful tone.
She’s clearly moving on without “regrets and what-ifs” because if she harbored any, “I wouldn’t be able to find peace.”
Jodi is currently seeing incoming Cavite Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla, although she’d rather not talk about it as well. “I’m really not comfortable talking about my personal life. Maybe bits and pieces I can share with
you, but I’d rather keep it to myself.”
Nevertheless, reporters, who have followed her career and personal life, asked how she managed to bounce back from a personal upheaval that could have easily crushed those made of weaker stuff. Jodi said, “I really believe that it depends on the choices we make in life. It’s in our hands as to how we want to run our lives and how we want to look at things and situations.”
Right now, all Jodi feels is gratefulness because “I’ve been blessed by the Lord, very, very much. I couldn’t ask for anything else.”

Luke: Niks!
SC: Go ahead.
Nikki: I’m just. I don’t want her for you Dad.I mean, I don’t understand what you see in her
SC: You are asking why we love the people we loved?
Nikki: No, I want to understand why you loved her.
SC: Because I just do.Look, we cant’ analyze why we feel the way we do about the people, there’s no logic in it. No explanation, love just happens.
Nikki: Whether we like it or not that’s it Dad?
SC: Nikki if we could choose the people we love I get it choose from you.But love doesn’t give you any choices. We can’t choose who we love and when we fall in love. It just that doesn’t happen that way.
Nikki: So we just have to accept just like that, Dad?
SC: Look guys, I wont force you to accept Maya if you can’t right now, but I hope in time you will because I would never have loved her if I didn’t see how much she love you too.
Let’s be honest and not be hypocritical. Yung reaction ni nikki is quite normal. Kahit tayo at some point in our life would have had the same reaction. Maya used to be their yaya plain and simple. Yes, they like her, and I don’t want to be mean or anything and no offense sa mga kasambahay ha, pero in the states medyo hindi malayo ang main love ang amo sa nanny pero in our culture, medyo may kalayuan ang estado ng kasambahay sa amo nila kaya Nikki’s reaction is real but the silver lining here is that maya was able to finish school and made herself successful and that she really loves the kids and that will be the turnaround.
Ang bigat ng eksenang yun, nakakaiyak. How SC talked so calm and how he encouraged Nikki to say what she feels.
I really love how the scene ended: I would never have loved her, if I didn’t see how much she loves you too.
Nikki and Luke might just be scared on the changes that will happen, now that their dad has a GF na.
Oh gosh, writers, ang sakit naman ng pina-dialog nyo kay Nikki? Why are you doing this to her character?
For her to say na hindi nya maintindihan kung bakit minahal ni Daddy nya si Maya is just, OUCH!! As if talagang she is not loveable. Wala ba talagang na-ipundar si Maya sa puso niya?

I was just reading yung mga comments sa youtube and they were suggesting na to bring back capt. James para mag create din ng konting tension kay maya and sir chief and I agree. It would be nice for maya to be able to experience na maligawan din ng isang binata and thus be able to compare sa relasyon nila ni sir chief. How easy it is to have a relationship sa isang binata na walang sabit and of course we all know na true love will prevail and that sir chief will win her heart eventually. It would be nice also to see the kids see their dad miserable without maya by his side and sila pa ang gagawa ng paraan to help them get back together. Now that is a conflict na pwede nilang gamitin for the show at syempre with that comes mga selosan blues and I would really like to see sir chief rattled a little bit kasi masyado siyang kampante in this relationship.

Ang premise ba nito ay mag isplit si SC and Maya? Pabababain naman yata ang pagkatao ni Maya kung papaligaw siya while bf nya si SC. Ganun na ba ang prevailing morals and values sa aking bayan ngayon? That’s just not done by a decent classy person.
and the only issue he has is the show they put up in front of them. But i think he is smart enough to realize that his dad has come a long long way from a very strict, serious man who did not know how to smile ’til Maya. Maya makes his dad happy and he himself said his dad is entitled to have a life and be happy too. Si Nikki lang talaga ang may issue kasi yan din ang ginawa niya kay Niccolo. Because she saw Aira and Maya as competition to Niccolo and her dad’s attention that’s why she has become very hateful and vindictive. Hopefully she’ll be able to realize that these ladies are good people and have done nothing wrong to her. Sad ako…. 😦

The Doris-Sabel story is dovetailing nicely with Maya-Richard: social class is getting a makeover. We have Nikki as the old guard wanting to keep the status quo–the help do not eat with the Masters–Luke is on the fence, the moderate, Abby is the future, the idealist who expresses the best part of all of us, Manang Fe-Doris-Sabel-Joma who are thrilled at the changes that are taking place in the household, and Maya-Richard at the center of it all. They remind us that in all big social change, you have real people who are being affected, feeling love, heartache, the whole range of human emotion.
Doris and Isabel want better for their own lives, inspired by Maya. Jeff and Kute want better for Cho. I guess my parents wanted better for my brothers, sister, and me when we left the Philippines in 1970 to start a new life in Los Angeles. In kapit bisig fashion, they helped their families immigrate to the States as well.
Everything’s changing. Las Pilipinas is becoming something new. I am seeing my connection to my native land that I left as an infant. Maraming salamat po, BCWMH.

But I really love how SC doesn’t use ‘cosmetics’ to explain himself to the kids. He is straight to the point and somehow firm that it’s his decision pa rin in the end how he stood up for his love.

It’s very romantic for Ser Chief to hold Maya’s hands while talking. The way he kissed her hand and the way he looked at her showed how much he loves her.
I love you Abby. Abby’s innocent remarks on what they should call Maya, Mommy or Mama, is the sweetest. With Abby, relationship between her Dad and Ate Maya is so simple, from girlfriend to mother. We can see her love for her Ate Maya, no reservations, she will be her mother.
No matter how I try to understand Nikki, I just can’t. So I’m not going to comment on her behavior anymore. It’s just making me angry.
I wish Luke didn’t stop what he was telling Nikki when he said , sides doesn’t matter. I’m assuming he was going to say, as long as Dad is happy. He doesn’t have issues with Maya, so I hope he doesn’t dislike Maya.
The Dinner: I am so disappointed with Luke and Nikki. They didn’t show any good manners and respect to their Dad and Maya by not greeting them or standing when they arrived.
The teaser for next week: Some of us predicted what Maya’s reaction will be when she realizes that Luke and Nikki are against their relationship, she will try to walk away. She loves the kids so much that she doesn’t want to jeopardize Ser Chief’s relationship with his children. Ser Chief’s assumes she wants to break up with him. Somebody suggested that maybe they should cool off so that Luke and Nikki will see how heartbroken their Dad is, and they will realize how important Maya is to the happiness of their family. But Winnie said it’s probably not good because of hurting Abby. But in the teaser, Abby hears Nikki saying she doesn’t like Maya. If the writers go for the cool off period, maybe just one episode, Abby is not going to blame Maya and her Dad.
I believe this little girl will be the shining light for this family. Every member of the Lim household and Maya don’t want to hurt Abby, that they will set aside whatever negative emotions they have to make this little girl happy. On that note, we should expect next weeks episodes to be more of challenges to Ser Chief and Maya’s relationship, more rough road for Nikki’s acceptance, less for Luke ( he’s starting to turn around). I just hope Abby doesn’t get hurt in the process.
My heart is so heavy watching this episode. I need a breather this weekend.

Sana naman ma-maintain ang “KILIG-SERYE” kasi lately nagiging pang drama na ang show . Hindi naman masama na kahit papaano eh may konting kilig naman in between sa mga ganap. Nakaka ilang cut na rin yun ivang scenes na pinapakita sa teaser tas sa actual show waley. Sympre ang mga viewers hitik na hitik makita yun kabuuan nun tapos sabay mawawala na parang bula.. In the end imbes na matuwa at kiligin ang viewers, madidissapoint lang sila tas pag paulit ulit na lang na ganun ang mangyayare hindi mahirap na baka mawalan ng gana ang viewers.
Anyway, I’m so proud of Ser Chief for being so honest about his feelings for Maya. You can see the sincerity sa mata nya (kung di ko lang iisipin na si SC yun as character nako! Oopps hehe). I’m sure si Luke mas maiintidihan nya dahil napagdaanan na rin naman nya umibig and for Nikki sana maresolve na muna yun nararamdaman nya ke Nicolo dahil dyan nag umpisa ang lahat!. Abby you are SC and Maya’s angel! we love you for loving Maya so dearly, sana mapansin ng mga kapatid mo rin.

I may be the oddball today, but this is probably one of the best episodes I’ve seen.
-Ser Chief’s definition of love was spot-on. Eh, kung yun nalang sana ang sinulat niya sa slumbook – di na nahirapan si Maya.
-This episode celebrates the Dad in Ser Chief – timely kasi Father’s Day sa Sunday. Napakaswerte ng Lim kids na may understanding silang tatay.
-Nikki is what? 13 years old? That’s awfully a lot to take for someone’s entering puberty and who have valued deeply her relationship with her deceased mother. I cannot empathize with Nikki but to be honest, her reactions are digestible and contrary to popular comments, to me are lightyears away from O-A.
-Luke’s seems to be having a change-of-heart for Maya. I guess since he understands better than Nikki, dahil naranasan niya nang ma-inlove. I’m guessing Nikki will be the last stone turned.
-Abby…Abby…Abby… you were the incarnation of good vibes. Best ‘Supporting’ Daughter in the World.
-I love Abby and Doris’ rendition of the kuwento ng Mahal na Hari and Mahal na Prinses turned Fairy.
Pasensya na if I’m turning radical but two thumbs up ako sa episode today! Bonus na yung “mag-sweetheart tayo” Text Question of the Day plug ng mag-jowa.
Sorry Minks/Monks, my state of mind at this time is too clouded to see the sun rising in the horizon. So me thinks, I need to turn a blind eye and grab some of those smileys that hover everywhere in this digital age of ours… that is… until I get back to my old self. (Sorry, Suki and Jan, the well had been flooded, so it’s temporarily closed. When everything is back to normal, I’ll give you a heads up ok.) But just before the well was flooded, I caught a piece of paper with a note saying… “When life gives you lemons…”, so I thought long and hard, and asked myself what to do with it? I goggled it, and it Mr. Wiki says – “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade” is a proverbial phrase used to encourage optimism and a can-do attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune. And so as I understand Mr. Wiki’s definition I get that it can also mean making the best of a bad situation by taking the struggles that one faces and turning them into opportunities. In short, if something bad happens in your life, make the best out of it, for in the end, it is your life! So I compiled some insights hoping that our characters can make sense and learn a lesson or two…
•If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Maya, am sure you can do this, even without the sugar in sight. Ikaw pa! If you were able to tame the tiger mode Sir Chief into a very kind and loving boyfriend that he is now, you can handle the situation you are facing now with Luke and Nikki. We have faith in you Maya! Kapit Bisig lang yan! If this option doesn’t work thou, you can always try the next three options….
•When life gives you lemons, make pancakes. – your option 2 Maya… if this doesn’t work, go to option 3
•When life gives you Lemons, make Lemon ice cream or sorbet. – If 1 and 2 didn’t work, baka eto pwede na. Just make sure to buy those Barquillos in Iloilo so Grrrr Nikki and of course Baby Abby can enjoy their favorite snacks with that Barquillos of yours.
•When life gives you lemons, make lemon meringue pie! – See Maya, you have lots of options to choose from… Sabi nga ni Nanay Teresita, pagtyagaan mo lang yan ‘nak! Pasasaan ba’t maluluto din yung nilaga. Sabi mo nga kay Raffi dati, “try and try lang until you die”, este succeed pala!
•If life gives you lemons, grow a lemon tree. When that tree gives you more lemons, make a lemon orchard. When that orchard gives you more lemons, sell them and become rich. Then next time you see life, you can say, “Thanks for the lemons!” Life hates people who are grateful for its lemons. – This one, you na you Maya. Always the Ms. Sunny Sunshine that you are, am sure when life does give you lemons, you are that brilliant and make the most of it by turning things around and benefitting from it in the end. So when you have arrived este succeed, go back to the mansion and invite Nikki Grace Lim to your orchard. Magsawa sya sa lemons! 🙂
•When life gives you lemons ask for salt and tequila! – Sir Chief, this will be a welcome respite for you from the burdens you are now carrying because you’re torn between your kids and your love for Maya. •When life gives you lemons, get a knife, cut them in half, then squirt them in some carbonated water and VOILA! you got Lemon Water! – Pero di nga Sir Chief, if you do get the lemons, accept it, make it to your own advantage and turn it all around, after all you are the CEO and the leader of the Lim household band. You can do it Sir Chief!
•If life gives you two lemons, find someone whom you love and give one to them. Baby Abby, when you do get those lemons, give them na lang to Daddy Singkit if you can’t handle even one. Am sure, Daddy Singkit will be more than willing to carry the load for you after all, you are his Little Princess. Or better yet Baby, spread tons of good vibes to Daddy Singkit, so he can join forces with you and turn things around. In the end, the Mahal na Hari and his Little Princess will bring order into their Kaharian and everybody happy na ulit! Yehey!

Don’t give up Maya. It doesn’t matter how long it takes for Luke and Nikki to accept you but your love for Richard should always be there. Be positive. If theres’s sadness today, there will be happiness tomorrow.
Luke is getting there and Nikki is still hurting so just give her more time to recover. Then everything will be the same again.
I don’t think it would be shallow because sir chief would be torn between his children and maya and that is a big enough conflict or reason for him to rethink this kasi things like this can happen like conflicts with parents etc., that is kung maging matigas talaga si nikki which I don’t think will happen kasi nga good vibes yung show

i was under the weather with so much “lechon”, beer. brandy, and kilawin that my bp just went up to the limit.
plus the episode yesterday was very depressing. am i affected by the teleserye? am i the only one?
i have decided to check in the hospital for whole night and just be on the safe side, check everything like
cholesterol, sugar, x ray and the blood work. everything came to normal then came home with a sad story
about nikki.
what had happened to sir chief has the same situation with my cousin. her daughter could not understand
if he would introduce somebody in their home. most likely they are thinking that it could have a competition
between a new wife to be and their own happines. it is expected to see this drama because it would happen to
any ordinary family. but in the end, they would accept it and embrace the new addition to the family. it would
take a strong woman to swallow all the insults from your daughters or sons. of course you have not heard
this situation until you would experience it someday.
why am i relating this drama with our own? because it can easily happen to you and me. it is true to life
drama that this teleserye is pattern into. we are interested because it can happen to us or already happen to us.
maya is a concerned girlfriend of sir chief and would sacrifice her own dignity and ego just to satisfy the children.
sir chief is just holding his dismay or frustration to hold the family together.
it had happened in our family circle, my brother remarried to a younger woman and the children became rebellious.
this is a balancing act that most of the family would have to deal with. it has not happen to my own life story but it could.
i suppose i am not very good in hiding my experiences including my own family. but i would be bored to death if i has
not experienced on my side of the story. and all of us are not immune to this kind of drama that we see in our own eyes.

It irritates me to hell to hear those selfish words from Nikki (& I seriously considered mentally strangling her but you know, i’m a nice person that’s why) but i’m still hoping someone would know the sense out of her. I’ve known she’s always been the rash character but judgement on Maya is just too much considering she (they) should be thankful to her the most because she’s the sole reason why the Lim family had gotten over their tragic state before.
Overall though, the only parts of this episode I really like is Abby’s enthusiasm about Maya being part of their Family. She really is a smart girl (smarter than Nikki herself and Luke too). ANd also Richard’s very sweet comfort to Maya. It’s very endearing. Although the preview left me irritated and hanging in a thread, I still like knowing the possibility that the break-up thingie might change a lot of things for the better.

As expected si Abby ang saviour today sa Lim’s household. Her enthusiam is contagious, I believe Luke is infected by it. I was intently listening to his conversation with Nikki and I firmly believe that he’s slowly starting to open his heart and mind about this new situation between Maya and his Dad. Basically because he respect and love his Dad but I think it is more on his Love for Abby. Kaya lang he is still hurting at ayaw din niyang walang maging katuwang si Nikki. He is trying to be a good Kuya for Nikki as well.
Mga kapamilya, I believe the creative team are showing us some hints thru the use of colours today. Did you notice the colours of their shirts? Colour coordinated si Maya as si Luke, they both wear pink salmon which means goodluck and happiness. Nikki is wearing green maybe for Envy? SC is wearing dark blue which is probably what he felt right now.
At very satisfied din ako doon sa scene sa San Nicolas. At last, nasabi din ni Kute kay Jeff na mahal niya ito dahil ito ang ama ng anak niya.
I already said my piece about that dinner yesterday. Sana, SC had given his children the option to join or not sa dinner nila. Marahil kung sinabi niyang ” Maya is coming over for dinner tonight, I would be happy if you could join us.” ; baka the kids will appreciate it more that they are not force and they will voluntarily join. Masasaktan tuloy silang lahat, lalo na si Abby.
This is probably the first weekend that I’m not looking forward to Monday’s episode. Dahil alam ko na mamaga na naman ang mga mata ko. Although I know that Daddy Singkit will not agree that they will breakup, masakit pa rin isiping baka mag-split sila.
I agree with Nanay Teresita, if Maya has to make a sacrifice, that should be to fight for her love and not to let go of it for the greater good. I don’t want to dwell on this nega thoughts kasi mababawasan iyong ini-ipon kong Love for next week. E-enjoy ko muna ‘tong positive vibes in tonight eps so that I can have a good weekend. Though the “split” idea normally works for other teleseryes…but I doubt if it will have the same effect in Be Careful.
After all, this is supposed to be a KILIG SERYE ( though lately, we’re seeing more of the drama due to its impending end ). Besides, if it were to have that plot, that would only mean that it’s gonna be stretched again. As it is, the attempt of “stretching” or having “filler” episodes isn’t working for the show. We’ve had some bleh episodes and it’s not as entertaining as before.
Values laden yes, but the KILIG SERYE motif is suffering already.
On a related note, I don’t think the show will delve into another dramatic plot since it’s bound to end soon. Given that Richard Yap has already confirmed that they will be working on an MMFF entry this year. I don’t think it’s just or healthy anymore for everyone who’s part of the show to continue with the daily serye while doing the MMFF entry. They will all end up in the hospital if they push themselves too far.
Just my two cents. No offense meant.
I really like this episode. It shows the kids’ personalities on how they reacted to the news. Abby was ecstatic, Luke was tentative and Nikki didn’t like it. I like the conversation with the kids, SC was firm but understanding of the kids’ feelings at the same time. The burden is on him to balance his relationship with Maya and The kids’ feelings about it. We could see that on his face while he was driving, I thought that was a really meaningful scene however short it was.
I guess we will see how he is going to “fix” the situation in the upcoming episodes. My only concern is that Maya looks like a helpless puppy, how I wish that she would step up to the plate and contribute to the solution, we’ll see, maybe she would.

I love this episode kahit na meron nawawala na impt scene. Medyonasasanay na ako sa medyo may pagka-alzheimer’s ng teleserye na to. Kahit nakakainis, eh sinasanay na yata tayo nila nanow you see, now you don’t kaya di na ako ngayon na su-surprise.
I love yung moment ni SC with Luke and Nikki. I totally understand his kids for acting that way lalo na si Nikki. She’s just what 13-14 yrs old? Syempre gusto mo the best for you dad. Para lang yan pagbaliktarin mo ng situation, pag dumatin ang time na magkakaron ng boyfriend yan, I highly doubt tanggapin ni SC yon ng basta basta kahit na the best catch pa yung guy.
As I’ve said in the past, kung natagalan si Nikki i-accept si Maya as part of their household or even as a family friend, di na nakakapagtaka na hindi nya ma-accept her as her Dad’s girlfriend kara-karaka.
‘Yung cool-off period… ‘yung tanong ni Sir Chief kay Maya: “Are you breaking up with me???” Sakit n’on!!! I’m sad that magkakatotoo yata ‘yung prediction ko a few days ago… pero I also think, kahit masakit, kahit nakakalungkot… a brief cooling off period would serve as a catalyst for the events to come, especially within the Lim household…
I don’t think Sir Chief would be completely in his tiger mode if and when this happens… maybe slight tiger mode lang with a liitle bit of depression plus kunting mukmuk na rin… ‘yun bang, he will be there physically pero parang wala rin kasi wala siyang saya to enjoy his time with the people around him (e.g. his kids, his staff at the office, his friends like Ryan and Rafi, even with his own parents if ever they come or even just call)… everyone would notice and most likely be concerned because that would not be the Richard that they know… he will carry on with his daily tasks and responsibilities, but he would be just like an automaton…
As for Maya… just like Sir Chief, she would function as expected but not in her usual bubbly, happy-go-lucky way… she would smile less, which her own friends and family would notice and be worried about…she may even cry a lot when she’s on her own… alone then put on a brave face when other people are around… and then there’s the possibility na baka mag-appear na naman si Capt. Ventura who will attempt to cheer Maya up (of course with his own personal agenda)…
Then there’s Abby who overheard Nikki (maldita!!!) about her abhorrence to Maya… again, if and when Maya and Sir Chief do end up having a “cool-off” period, this little girl would be the saddest of all… probably equally if not more sad than her dad & ate Maya…
Kahit ako mahirap i-absorb na dating nyong yaya eh magiging mommy mo in the future. Naman! Ang maganda lang nito, FA na si Maya. Pero just imagine ang katulong nyo magiging stepmother nyo. Mahirap i-process yun. AS a family friend, madali lang.
BUT kung si SC nga ng nuknukan ng sungit eh napamahal si Maya, susunod din sina Nikki at Luke.

I will do my review on this, because this is what brought a smile to SC and Maya. All week, I don’t think we saw that lopsided smile of SC, and I miss it very much.
Characteristics of Batman:
BRAVERY- Although he has no superhuman powers, Batman’s unstoppable determination and strength makes him an extremely formidable opponent. He is able to function while tolerating massive amounts of physical pain. He is motivated to construct himself as the solution to every problem with a plan for every scenario, no matter how dire.
JUSTICE- Because of his many different personality traits, Batman is unique amongst his fellow superheroes. It could be argued that other heroes do their duty because they can; their super powers and special abilities give them an advantage and their upbringing or personal beliefs tell them they should use their powers for good. But Batman is different. He does it because he has to.
SACRIFICE- Many times he sacrificed his own feelings or desires to help people. He is tireless, as in he never gives up. It may be difficult for someone to act like this, in such a selfless manner but Batman never sought any public recognition. And he takes full responsibility. He bears the physical demands, he does what others are scared or forbidden to do. But in the end all he hoped to do was inspire the spirits of the people of Gotham.
Kaya Maya, tama ka ipabahala mo nalang kay Batman. Kayang kaya nya yan!!!! Anyway, you have been a Batman/woman for your family and for the Lim household. You have been brave to pursue your dreams, inspite of many challenges you had to overcome. Tireless, never giving up so that your family can have a better future, and tireless of giving your love to the Lim household, so they can have love and laughter again in their lives.

Amen! Sometimes when we watch these shows we lose touch with reality because we see Jodi Santamaria and we don’t see her in her role na she was basically a former kasambahay. Realistically, the kids would not be comfortable with the idea. Granted, the way nikki is reacting is a bit too much for everybody but I think medyo tame pa nga yan eh, it could be worse. She was still being nice pa nga and not insulting maya and calling her names and accusing her of god knows what, that’s due to the good values in this show, thank god! Put your self in the Lim kids shoes, wouldn’t you feel weird if your widowed father all of a sudden tells you he’s in love with your former kasambahay? No offense meant ha, just being realistic.
Nikki: I want to understand if why you love her..

Dear Nikki – What can I say to you? You are the character I am most disappointed with, cried over and felt the most betrayed. I know you are young and misguided blah blah blah and growing up without a mom blah blah blah but there is no excuse for being selfish, closed minded, rude and disrespectful. I am sure your high class private school have not taught you that and your Dad the same. No Excuse! As you continue to be all bratty and rude, you have to realize that you have overstepped your bounds because I don’t believe you have been told that yet. Everyone seems to be walking on eggshells around you. You are lucky I am not there to really give you a piece of my mind. But here is what I can tell you: you need stop, look at yourself in the mirror, look at your family before and now. You need to dig deep down your heart how much all these means to you. After you have done that, you need to remember each and everyone of your family starting with your Dad, your brother Luke, your sister Abby. When you have done that…think of the common denominator in all of their lives. Think of the very person who has been there in everyone of your family member’s lives. Then look at yourself in the mirror. Once more, review how your life has been this past year. And in each and every scene you conjure up on your mind, you will see that you have the same common denominator as your family. In this exercise I am hoping your mind and your heart will become clear and ready to open up to the change in your life. I understand it is scary but it is far more scary for your family to go back to how you all were before.
Dear Abby – When I watch you and listen to you speak about your Ate Maya, it warms up my heart. I think I have said it before that you are the bright light in this family not only because you love your Ate Maya but also because no matter if you are the youngest in the family, you seem to have the biggest heart and the most matured mind. You are so courageous when you were genuinely happy with your Dad dating and truly excited to know he’s got a girlfriend. That is because you love your Daddy so much and it makes you happy he is happy. When God blessed you with your prayers coming true, God was saying that you have been a really good girl. You are a happy girl just full of life and that makes God happy. Keep it up baby and don’t worry about Ate Nikki and Kuya Luke. Maybe just say a prayer for both of them to find it in their hearts to be truly happy for your Dad and Ate Maya.

Naiintindihan ko na hindi kilig lang araw-araw sa isang relasyon, especially theirs. Their conflict will not be that of feelings and security but how they’re going to stay strong despite people’s ( Nikki’s and others who’ll come) opinion.
Another factor that they might have to deal with is their age difference. Maswerte si SC at lahat ng nakakasalamuha ni Maya tanggap siya at alam kung paano patay na patay si Maya sa kanya. There’s no need for a 3rd party to come in. They already have enough in their hands.
I do understand that they have to deal with those…but for Pete’s sake!! would it kill the vibe of a mature relationship to show some affection???
Just done watching today’s episode
It has been one helluva rollercoaster ride that this show has done for me. From last month’s super kilig moments and now down to the heart-wrenching tear stricken episodes this week. Yes, i totally agree with some of my sisters here who said that this is one of the best episodes. A Sad one but it truly shows that in the real world this kind of situation happens. I must admit that tears really stung my eyes towards the end of the fourth gap, i can really feel that Ser Chief is sad about Luke and Nikki’s reaction. And it’s just so sweet of him for wanting to go to Maya after he talks to the kids and not caring if he’s tired from his Clark trip.
Luke: I think the only issue for him was why did his Dad and Maya kept their blooming relationship from them and he’ll soon see for himself that Maya is the right woman for his Dad.
Nikki: Such a normal reaction for a girl her age who came from a not so normal family setting. She would be the last person who can acccept the fact that SerChief and Maya is already a couple. Effective acting for Janella based on the feedbacks and comments from the viewers.

Actor Richard Yap
MANILA – Actor Richard Yap is adding another feather in his cap as he inked a deal for his first solo album with Star Records on Thursday.
According to Yap’s contract with ABS-CBN’s record label, the album will contain covers and possibly original songs — including one in Chinese.
“We’ll be doing about eight to 10 songs in this album, combination of Tagalog, English and maybe one Chinese song. I’m very excited because this is going to be a solo album. Hopefully matanggap ng mga tao yung ambisyon natin to be a singer,” he told ABS-CBN News in an interview.
Yap said he has been musically inclined since he was young and this opportunity to record his own album is like a dream come true.
“Actually there was someone who wanted to write original songs pero hindi pa namin napag-usapan. Most of them [covers] siguro. Hindi pa na-finalize so hindi ko pa alam,” he said.
Asked what genre of music he is into, Yap said: “More on ballad siguro. I like ballad and acoustic.”
‘Be Careful With My Heart’ movie
Meanwhile, Yap shared that he is already looking forward to shooting the movie version of the top-rating daytime series “Be Careful With My Heart.”
Just recently, ABS-CBN has submitted a film version of the “kilig-serye” as one of the possible film entries to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
“We are going to do the movie for the MMFF. Sana matanggap siya as one of the top eight. It’s going to be a different story from ‘Be Careful,’” Yap said.
Yap said the movie’s story will be different from the series such that the viewers have something different to expect.
“It’s going to be a different story from ‘Be Careful.’ Para siyang continuation, hindi siya ‘yung condensed version. Kung ano ang nangyayari sa ‘Be Careful,’ after that, iyon ang mabubuo,” he said.
Parang continuation pala ng BCWMH? kung ano daw ang mangyayari after…. so……. pwede bang kung ano ang magyayari after nakarating sila sa master’s bedroom?

Nakakatuwa talaga si Abby, ironically, kung sino pa yung pinakabata, sya pa yung medyo matured ang sinasabi. Like nung sinabi nya na “I’m happy if daddy is happy” and nung nag-sorry si Maya for not telling them na sya ang GF ni SC, she responded “it’s ok ate Maya, kasi ang gusto ni daddy sya ang magsasabi sa amin…” napaka understanding na bata…

Sana ang mangyari is makipag-cool off muna si Maya kay SC dahil nahihirapan siyang malayo na ang loob ng 2 sa kanya. Tapos malulungkot si SC. Parang walang gana kasi hindi na sila nagkikita ni Maya… at iyon ang mapapansin ng mga kids at marealize nila na love talaga ni SC si Maya. so much happenings in today’s episode that i think i will be able to give my ratings to my personally made-up categories. here it goes:
kilig-much – 5 stars – short moments but ooohhhhh, so sweet! today, everybody would be talking about the holding hands of SC n maya not once, not twice (? am not sure now how many times so later i will definitely watch the regular showing on its time slot on my cable tv, or better yet wait for winnieO’s OCD summation) and the most unexpected tender kiss by SC on maya’s hand. oh-mee-oh-my! i didn’t see that coming! what a most pleasant surprise indeed! (i cannot thank-u-enough, creative team! give me-give me-give me more unexpected surprises such as this one, so i can love you more.)
rock n roll – 5 stars – i was grinning from ear-to-ear when dorbel were beyond themselves when SC ok’d their plan to enrol in vocational courses. how they wanted to give SC big hugs but like maya before, diverted their PDAs to manang fe instead. me bonus na kilig in this eksena cuz SC gave out a half-smile. yehey! SC, isang ngiti mo lang…ulam na!!!
pls pass the kleenex – 2 stars (i like it) – for the final good-bye send off to papapardz. this is a most welcome scenario, not much drama, not much fuzz. good luck and best wishes to you, tom rodriguez.
GRRR – 1 star (could be better) – haha, funny but i just realized that in this category, it will always get a 1 star (could be better) cuz how can i ever give 5-star (i’m in love!) rating to something that i feel strongly negative about? anyways, the scene at the dining area, when SC, maya ang abby came into the room and luke and nikki gave them cold shoulders is the GRRR moment in this episode.

Out of the mouth of babes! buti pa si Abby nakikita kung ano ang dapat at totoo. As for the two elder kids’ reaction, I agree with you. when Nikki heard that her dad has a girlfriend, she might have thought that her dad was just having a fling and not being serious. Sana ganito lang ang rason nila and not that they think of Maya as someone below their social stature. I would be very disappointed in them kung ganyan sila mag-isip. But I think this would not be the case since parati namang sinasabi na maganda ang pagpapalaki sa kanila. And MF reinforced this with her statement.

Sorry ayoko sanang magdala dito ng bad vibes. Pero nakakaalarma yung ratings nila this week sa Kantar. Slowly dropping. From Monday-24% Tues-23% Wed-22%. The BCWMH team should do something right now before its too late. Liit na lang ng lamang nila sa Ryzza Mae Show.
Actually mas ok ng ganto, because it shows that they really did something wrong.
I am sure they are doing something about it na.
But if next week will be as uninspiring as the last coupla weeks then, Ryzza will beat BCWMH sooner or later.
Meanwhile, I will stick with BCWMH til the end.

It is indeed confirmed! The big elephant in the room is finally going to be discussed. The social class issue in the Philippines has finally reared its ugly head into the forefront of the consciousness of the people we love in the world of Be Careful with My Heart. Our characters finally introduce the issue that confronts the average Filipino. Delving into this divisive and unpleasant issue is a must if this drama is to remain true in its portrayal of contemporary Philippines . It is only fair that the other side of the coin, not just the beautiful side, is shown to the world. To do otherwise, is a great disservice to our fellow countrymen. The good the bad and the ugly, after all, shape the average Filipino. Richard and Maya and the other characters will effectively show how to rise above, how to confront and how to overcome, not succumb, to such prejudices. I surmise it will be an ugly ride for our viewers who only expect good vibes portrayed in this drama. Viewers beware!
Poverty is the direct result of the century-old social class struggle preserved by a select powerful few that effect legislation, which basically promotes the uneven distribution of wealth in the country, thereby perpetuating the gap between the rich and the poor. In this story, the Lims represent the” haves” and the Dela Rosas represent the “have nots.” Maya and Kute want to rise from their appointed status in life. Hence, they both leave their birthplace in the hope of finding that reclusive opportunity that will change the course of their lives. Kute finds herself working for a cruise ship and Maya ends up working for the Lim family. The latter, unbeknownst to her, has found the key to unlock her dreams of becoming a flight attendant when she meets Richard Lim, her new boss.
Fortunately, Richard subscribes to a more global perspective regarding the social issues that plagues the country. He wants to effect positive change in his immediate world. His philosophy is surprisingly a welcome departure from the accepted social standard which people in his privileged social circle strictly adhere to. In him, Maya discovers a benevolent employer willing to provide the scholarship she needs to further her education. In fact, she later learns that she is not the only beneficiary to his generosity. He has also given such educational opportunities to other under-privileged, as his way to help the economically disadvantaged move up the social ladder. In fact, he openly denounces the bourgeois thinking and shows he has no qualms at breaking down the socially-imposed wall that delineates the economic gap between the rich and the poor. He demonstrates this by eating in carinderias, riding the MRT and eating balut purchased from a street vendor. Ultimately, he shows his blatant disregard for the unwritten social norm by openly loving Maya, his former employee. Yes, Sir Chief defies the social conventions of the today. Bravo!
His older daughter, on the other hand, strictly follows the social standards of the majority. Nikki believes that servants are not her equal. She shows kindness in her dealings with them but she maintains her distance from them. Hence, when she learns, that her own father is in love with a former household help, is beyond her comprehension. She finds it unconscionable and her young mind struggles with this issue. As long as she remains unbending and unwilling to change her stance, she will continue to find their relationship unreasonable and will unknowingly, or even deliberately, hurt the very ones she loves.
Fortunately, on the other side of the spectrum, is Abby. Abby remains uncorrupted. Loved and raised by Maya, she knows no other mother figure. Her young mind has absorbed and adopted her nanny’s philosophy. She treats everyone equally. She finds herself just as comfortable sitting at the kitchen table with the cook, the maid and the chauffeur as she does at the dining table with her Dad, her brother and her sister. To her, they are all her family. Consequently, when she learns that her beloved yaya is now her Dad’s girlfriend, she could not contain her joy. She, symbolically, holds the hope to a future Philippines, where social divides no longer exist.
Finally, there is Luke. In light of the recent revelation that his father and Maya are in a relationship, he finds himself torn. His ambivalence stems from his love for his Dad and his loyalty to follow the accepted social conventions for the social class that his family belongs to. He does not want to be labeled a bigot nor is he ready to become a social pariah when he casts his support to this unlikely pairing. He remains undecided. He represents the reluctant silent majority who are frozen to inaction.
On the lighter note hay kinilig naman ako nung talagang pinuntahan ni SC si Maya sa condo at hinawakan kamay nya at kiniss. Hay talagang I was feeling butterflies in my stomach. I feel this way whenever i see my special someone pag mag date kami. Hay anu ba yan masyado ako affected.
Si Luke naintindihan nya na mga ilang araw pa ok na sya kay Maya. Si Abby bakit tanungin si Nikki bat ayaw nya kay Maya at masaktan sya ng kabis.
Hay, i think i will be calling in sick tomorrow sa work masyado ako affected talaga. Hay.

In fact, when I explained the premise of BCWMH to Mama, she frowned and said, it wasn’t proper, to have the master of the house fall in love with the nanny – it was a bad example. *facepalm* Not until Mama “met” Nanay Tere and Kute and Mamang and the whole San Nicolas gang; not until she saw that Maya was a working student after all, did she favor Maya as a girlfriend for Sir Chief.
Now she is so involved with the couple that she worries how they will finally make a match of it. *grin* She knows they will end up together – but it’s the journey that keeps her on edge. *grin*
Yes, I hope so too. I am an avid Jl-Bea pero sobra ko na ring love itong show na ito same with maya and ser chief. Ayoko lang Makita na mawalang saysay yung narating ng show.
Maybe because we’re expecting too much kaya when they were not able to give what we expected marami ang nag react in a + & – way…but i trust them to make bawi for the viewers and hopefully give us more kilig factors paired up with good values for the show.
Sus nakahabol din ako mga klassmeyts.. The best mga questions ni Abby today.. Ang cute lang na ganun ang tumatakbo sa isip ng 7-year old girl diba.. Bet na bet ko ang ideas ng bata sa GIRLFRIEND..
Nakaka-touch talaga yung eksena, facial expressions at emotions ni SC.. Lalo na nun he turned towards the door.. Parang maiiyak lang at ayaw nya makita ng mga bata yung sadness na hindi pa okay sa mga kids. Kung ako man si Nikki, ang ikasasama ng loob ko is the thought na baka ireplace ni new GF ang MOM ko.. Shempre di naman kagad maiintindihan yun kasi nga about 14 yrs old pa lang.
Pag pala hindi ngumingiti si SC, tumatanda ang itsura nya.. Sobrang internalize nya yung character nya while driving, laki ng tinanda nya sa scene na yun.
Overall, i loved the epi today minus the omission of the re-assuring I LOVE YOU ni SC. Kabadtrip eh. Pero GV GV!
What were they thinking? Isu-shoot nila, spending hours and hours sa set, wasting rolls and rolls of tape tapos hindi ipapalabas. And worse, ipapakita sa teaser tapos hindi ipapalabas. O baka naman na mass-hypnotized lang tayo at di natin namalayan na pinalabas pala
I think at this point they are really flying off the seat of their pants, it seems that they have a global picture of what’s going to happen but they have not thought out the details, hence, mistakes and deleted scenes. It seems that they are so pressed for time that it shows in the episodes.
Anyhow, I like the way the story is going because it’s quite realistic although I understand the expectation of kilig moments. The trick there is how do you incorporate a serious subject with kilig moments, maybe tender moments na lang.
With all this going on, add a film to that. Good luck to them, I just hope neither project would be compromised as we all expect a good product from this team. That is why this forum exits, aside from the good storyline, our admiration for the cast, we serve as quality evaluators for the show.
Best part, friendships have formed as well.
Hopefully, someone from the show reading it.

About today’s epi: the dialogues are deep… about ‘lab’ love is like a rosary, full of mysteries nga… pang ‘Love Quotes” book…

Pero, sa totoo lang, may kababalaghan talaga ‘tong show na to… biglang may nagdi disappear… parang wala lang….. well… sya, ako na, ako na naman… nag hallucinate lang ako nung napanood at narinig ko yung, “We’ll fix this… aylabyu.”
Nasobrahan lang nga talaga ako ng caffein.
Kelangan ko na talaga ng haloperodol.
Sabihin na natin realistic ang reaction ng mga bata kay Maya but I guess some of us talaga cannot bear watching scenes which are too heavy on the heart or depressing. Some of us love this show because of the good vibes and the heartwarming stories it brings kaya nagkakaganito na ang ratings. Sana they shouldn’t dwell too much on the problems but more on the solutions to those problems para naman mapupulutan ng aral. Masyado na kasing pinipiga sa bato ang dugo natin pagpinapahaba pa eh. I so love this show and I hate to see it overtaken by rival shows.

Ako rin di ko na rin makayang ulitin panoorin ang mga epis lalo na pag depressing. kahit teaser parang nakakatakot panoorin.Pero I still love the scenes of Maya and SC lalo na kung ipinaglaban nila ang isat-isa. It’s the scenes of the kids that I can’t bear to watch. As one of our sis said here, parang walang naipundar si Maya sa relasyon niya sa mga bata. Sana ibalik na nila to happy times most especially dagdagan ng kilig portions.
Love this show and yes i just wanna suggest that they should show more tender moments between Sir Chief and Maya since that was made everyone stick to the series…kasi after we viewers got so high with “kilig ” before they became lovers, biglang bagsak ng emotions..I hope that even with them showing the conflict, sana meron pa ring moments yung dalawa that is feel good even when they are confronted with problems.Suggestion lang po.

I know na pinapahalagahan ang ratings ng mga show,but very consistent naman ang mataas na rating ng BCWMH..eh kong mag rate din kaya sila sa abroad,segurado na panalong panalo ang Be Careful..Hindi sa minamaliit ko ang show ni Ryza but i watch it one time sa GMA pinoy TV,wala pang one minute nilipat ko na,basta walang dating sa akin,parang naglalaro lang sa show..a little kid with a talk show,na ang mga guest ay matatanda,paano sasagutin ang mga tanong ng guest…hayyyyyyyy basta kahit matalo pa sa rating…forever SER CHIEF and MAYA ako..
