Good morning pala! Miss ko na kayo mga classmates! 1 more week of ngaragan for me and hopefully makakabalik na ang lola. Kagabi ko lang napanood ang last week’s episodes. Sana may time to watch later at makadaan sa night class.

I was wondering too. Hope everything went well with her mom’s surgery. DM ko sya sa ibon the other day pero wala pang sagot. Miss reading her updates. Wala din si sis ube chudey. Di ko masundan ang mga posts sa ibon eh.
I missed a good exchange last night sis! Nakita mo ba yun? Ampooch! Pinaglihi yata sa ampalaya yung basher. Anyway, no sense in lowering ourselves to her level. Napakadumi pa ng bunganga! Nahiya naman ako at ang gutter ko! This is why I really do prefer Pex. We are all civilized here and most of all have RESPECT for each other. Kahit na minsan, I get accused by sis pippin na BI daw.

Nasa ibon sis! Typical basher nung una and then she went below the belt with her tweets regarding sir vaughn. Hindi ko magawang ulitin ang pinagsasabi nya. Nag-post pa sya ng somewhat unflattering pic ni Jods. I don’t know if it was edited but we all had our lapses in judgement before that got captured in a pic. Medyo late na kasi ako naka-log on sa ibon, otherwise I would’ve been tempted to give her a piece of my mind too. Unfortunately, what I probably would’ve said wouldn’t fit in 140 characters. Nakipag-asaran sya kina sis cyber, luighel, et al. Ang in the end, di nya kinaya ang pwersa ng mga adiks, sya ang napikon. Pumutok yata batok nya sa inis.
Ang cataract surgery naman ngayon mabilis lang. Outpatient pa. Lalo’t laser pa ata ang gagawin so her mom will be fine. Ang alam ko 1 eye at a time.

Tulog na kasi ako that time.If not bibigyan ko sya ng isang matinding tweet na hindi naman bastos para lang manahimik sya.
Buntis pala si kalila in real life baka kaya magpapahinga.kaya lang sad naman if resign sya sa show.pwede naman rest lang.
Ok. Siguro busy lang sya, wala pang chance to sit in her recliner at mag-Pex. Hopefully magparamdam na sya soon. Consider this your warning sis pippin! Paramdam ka soon, ha? Kung hindi, bubulabugin kita kahit sa text.
My dear sisters in BCWMH! Thanks for thinking about us. The surgery went without any hitch except that it couldn’t be done with laser which would have favored my Nanay with faster healing time.
Sis stalker is right, it’s supposed to be a very simple 30-minute outpatient procedure under normal circumstances. But pre-op and post-op has been complicated for us owing to my mother’s dementia. Her inability to cooperate also prevented the doctor from setting her up for laser procedures so traditional operation ang nangyari.
Because of her dementia, we were having Nanay’s cataract extraction done without her consent or cooperation. She insists there’s nothing wrong with her eyes. She can still read and watch tv with her one good eye kaya hindi namin napapansin na almost blind na pala yung other eye. Maski siya hindi niya halata kasi naka-adapt na siya.
Because of her resistance, simple pre-op requirements like blood tests, ECG and X-rays for her cardio-pulmonary clearance became complicated. I can’t even get special nurses for her post-op care.
So now I’m doing all the nursing work myself like bathing her to prevent water from getting into her eye. My mother is in otherwise great physical condition so she is used to bathing herself pero di naman siya pwedeng pagsabihan not to wash her face and wag mag-shampoo because it has to be done beauty parlor style! Whatever you tell her, she forgets in the next instant!
Ang hirap din bunoin yung round-the-clock meds for the first 2 days because I always have to be the one to administer it. Resistance to medication, even if it is no longer a 24-hr operation, has its own challenges because my mother is otherwise very healthy and has never really required medication or hospitalization kaya takot sa gamot. At Siyempre, special case ang eyes because no one is really comfortable having their eyes messed with.
She’s very uncomfortable with the special goggles that have to be worn to protect the newly operated eye. Lalo pa niyang nagagalaw yung eyes niya and stressed na stressed siya, which I’m assuming hinders the healing process. Against doctor’s orders, I have allowed her to do without the goggles kaya todo bantay ako in case she gets the urge to rub her eyes. I just keep the air conditioning on 24 hrs in our room para she will sleep straight through the night at hindi na mapakialaman ang eyes niya. Last night nakatulog na ako ng 4.5 straight hours!
Matapang ako to do without the goggles kasi hindi naman niya habit pakialaman ang eyes niya. Her dementia has to do more with forgetfulness and she still understands what can be harmful to her.
Kaya lang nga, hindi niya ma-comprehend yung post op requirements of surgery. Hindi niya maalala yon because she never gave her consent for it nga.
O, yan na ang lesson for today: caring for elderly parents. Marami sa inyo diyan na papunta.
O, time na for another round of medication.
One other thing pala, I’m able to manage things so that I can watch the episode real time pero I have to keep one eye on my mother so hindi pwede mag-type ng updates. Naisi-singit ko ang panonood ng recording pag tulog si Mother. Baka after sept 13 I can go back to doing the updates after our 2nd post-op checkup.
And one more thing, hindi na ako makapag BR masyado except kanina. Kaya lang yung discussion about pagbubuntis ni Liza was interspersed with questions about my whereabouts. For a moment kinabahan ako na matulad sa chismis among LAS interns. Baka lumitaw na ako pala ang buntis kaya missing in action!!!
Hi sis pippinstalk… hope na ok na nanay mo good vibes lang… about sa mga bashers sa twitter hndi pa rin ako pumapasyal sa twitter… about naman sa pag resign ni liza sana nga hindi tinanggap ni daddy.. yun na lang ang palabasin nila.
Sis, good to know that all is well with your mom’s cataract surgery. She really needs your personal care nga.
So, tagal pa pala bago ka maka pag update ulit. Miss na namin daily updates mo. Sana yong may time mag-update din.
Buti na lang nasabi mo yan sis, at least malinaw na di ka gaya ni Liza na need mag leave dahil buntis!!!

Yung sinabi nya kay sir vaughn was way below the belt. They are still human beings like everyone else. Halatang walang breeding. Buti na lang absent tayo. Baka sumabog na sya ng tuluyan sa inis.
