603 November 3, 2014- Luke and Nikki begin to look for part-time jobs so they can help Richard and Maya with the family’s finances.

– Naka taxi si Luke dumating para sunduin si Cupcake. Hindi daw kailangan sunduin araw-araw at at huwag magtaxi dahil mahal mag-taxi. Opo naman si Luke, tapos tumawag ng taxi para ihatid si Joni. Ayaw ni Joni kaya jeepney sila.
– Ricky driving home. May nakitang magbabalot sa isang kanto. Bumaba at bumili.
– Si Luke halatang di sanay mag-jeepney. Grabeng higpit humawak sa backpack niya. Kumalma lang daw sabi ni Joni.
– Si Nikki nasa café while waiting for Joma. Dating si Nicolo, hi neighbor daw. May kumakanta sa café, pinuri ni Nikki. Disagree si Nicolo dahil mas maganda daw ang boses ni Nikki (damoves mo… bulok).
– Dating si Ricky sa bahay. Kapag umuulan kailangan salubungin ng payong para hindi mabasa papasok ng bahay (Ganito din iyon bahay niya noong first hired si Maya). Bigay ng pasalubong na balot sabay sabi “I realized since nangyari ang problema, natigil ang panliligaw ko sa iyo. So I have to start all over again.” May appreciation hug si sweetheart.
– Dating sa tenement ang young couple. Biglang umulan. Na-stuck sila sa isang small shed dahil walang payong. Reminisce si Luke noong bumabagyo na na-stuck sila sa kotse and Joni ended up staying at his condo.
– Ricky told Maya he resigned from PAS. Kuwento si Maya about Mercy coming by to apologize. Kakainan na ng balot. Si Ricky hindi na ipinagbabalat ng balot.
Gap 2
– Ang bagong office ni Ricky ay sa dining table na lang nila. Pinag-uusapan ng mag-asawa ang minimum number of full paying students to keep LAI afloat. Ang mahal ng tuition. Php 1M for entire 10-month commercial pilot course at Php 300,000 sa 3-month course. Short-term courses pa lang ang offered nila. Next year pa raw ang start ng 4-year course. Tuloy pa rin ang plan ng pag-subsidize ng deserving students. ROI expected in 3-5 yrs. Sabi ni buti raw lumipat sila ng bahay dahil kaya na ng salary niya ang house expenses. Ricky shared that the institute is not just business for him, but a fulfillment of a dream of strengthening the aviation industry. Pinuri ni Ricky ang Pinoy as passionate dreamers and doers, and for putting our hearts and souls in everything we do kaya sought after ang mga Pinoy workers globally. Dream niya na maging world class institute ang LAI.
– Nikki and Abby arrived home. Nakisali sa usap ng parents. Ricky shared his plans for LAI.
– Eto na ang kambal sabay buhat ni Doris. Ang lakas ni Doris, di na nya kailangan pang mag-gym to lift weights.
– Luke got home basang-basa. Sali rin siya sa usapan about LAI.
– Talagang ginawang family business/affair ang LAI.

Gap 3
– Nagtawagan sa phone ang Cupcakes. May pa-I love you pa din sila.
– Tuloy ang usap ng mag-asawa about LAI. May dalang mga suggestions si Luke. So willing naman si Dad na tignan ang naisip ni Luke. Happy si Dad sa nababasa niyang suggestions ni Luke.
– In their room, Nikki telling Abby that she is excited for the launch of LAI. Sasama daw sila sa launch dahil kailangan nilang i-support si Dad. Pasok si Luke para kausapin ang sibs niya. Warning them that their Dad will have a lot of expenses especially after the launch, so ingat sila sa pera. Abby will not asked for any allowance and bring baon na lang. Nikki does not think their parents will not give any allowance, so they will just ask for a reduction. Luke planning to get a part time job, as well as Nikki. Secret daw nila itong plans nila dahil di papayag ang parents nila if they know. Pahabol din ni Luke na they will all start helping around the house.
Gap 4
– Sabel and Doris playing with the twins. Ang saya ng kambal at naglaro on cue. Tumawag si Lea kay Doris. Balak ng bagong amo ni Lea na pumunta sa mga Lim para makilala sila. Excited din si Lea ipakilala ang bagong alaga niya sa kambal.
– Dinner time – Aba, tahimik. Naghahanap lang pala ng tiempo para sa announcement nila. Bring daw sila ng baon every day and even sometimes prepare their own baon. At nag-volunteer pang bawasan ang allowances nila. Kakaiba sila ha!! Ano raw ang nakain nila, tanong ni Maya.
TEASER

– Tanungan ang mag-asawa sa isusuot sa LAI launching. Eto uli iyon…”Maaga pa sweetheart, halika na….Sweetheart, ikaw talaga!”

Especially for young viewers, it’s very important that TV programs develop the whole person and persona, with a diverse mix and blend of entertainment, information and inspirational shows focusing on different aspects of the well-rounded individual’s growth, development and formation.
Unfortunately, for the past decade or so, Philippine TV programming has been run over by teleseryes. They started telecasting in the afternoon, but became so popular that they ended up dominating the evening prime time programming slot as well.
Twelve hours
These days, teleseryes are telecast before the evening news, then right after up to around 10:30 p.m., when the late-night newscasts start.
Teleseryes have become so popular that they have invaded the late-morning slot as well. “Be Careful With My Heart” has been running for almost two years now.
Thus, when you look at the country’s TV programming schedule, you find teleseryes starting at 11 a.m. or so, followed by the noontime variety shows. Then local TV goes back to drama mode in the afternoon, interrupted only by the evening newscasts, then back to the really big prime time dramas to end the long day on a huge, melodramatic high—all told, practically 10 or even 12 hours of teleseryes, almost back-to-back!
TV producers may say that they’re only giving televiewers what they avidly and even rabidly crave, but in the all-important context of balanced programming, this simply won’t do!
Government and industry bodies charged with upholding the welfare and viewing “health” of TV audiences must do their job and vigorously act to mitigate the huge cul-de-sac and dead end that the local TV industry has profitably painted itself and its millions of viewers into, which is unacceptable.
Parents and teachers should weigh in on this all-important issue, which negatively affects their children and young wards’ views of life and the world as a repetitive series of misery, violence and revenge, from morning till night, ad absurdum.
There’s much more to life than people getting oppressed and then avenging themselves on their vile oppressors, and our young people need to be shown those alternative options and prospects by the TV programs they view.
Hugely profitable
Yes, the production and telecasting of teleseryes is hugely profitable, as witness the seemingly endless commercials they oh so “generously” run, but the official government franchise that TV outfits need in order to operate require them to service the entire makeup of the Filipino viewers as a person, not just his escapist and masochistic-vindicative quirks.
In fact, TV channels are supposed to use the money they make from their commercial shows, like teleseryez, to produce alternative, public service, educational and niche-audience shows to encourage young viewers to develop all of their aspects and capabilities.
