Something has shifted between Richard and me. Ever since I bared my soul with regards to my parents, he has been treating me a little differently. He’s still a jerk but a more tolerable one.

Before I know it, a month has passed since I began working at Wendell Bank. I’m giddy with excitement as I head to the office. I make a stop and grab mine and Richard’s morning fuel of coffee and donuts before going to meet him in the gym. The early morning calls stopped but I’m here earlier than usual because Sky had a crafts project he had to work on before his class started.

Richard’s running on the treadmill when I arrive and of course, he’s doing it shirtless. I need to talk to him about his aversion to shirts while working out. Most people wear tank tops. I’ll admit though, that I missed…
