If someone told me I would be acting out a scene from one of those cheesy romance movies today, I would have laughed in their face.

And I would have been so wrong because fiction just became my reality. I want Richard’s hand around me all night long. We’re just staring at each other. Both of us afraid to move or even breathe and break the moment.

Something shifts in his gaze and it heats. He stares at my lips and I think he’s going to kiss me. I wouldn’t stop him if he tried. The realization scares the hell out of me.

Just as I think he’s going to do it, someone’s throat clearing interrupts us. We immediately jump apart. My cheeks are hot and I’m sure they’re a wonderful red color right about now. I look up at the newcomer then I tilt my head in confusion…
