The man at the door wasn’t just a threat — he was a promise. Calm, collected, and terrifyingly polite, Delgado stepped into the Lim household like he already owned it. Bella clung to Luke’s arm, her mother trembling behind her.

Richard tried to stand his ground, but Delgado’s smile said everything: “You can’t protect her forever.”

Bella’s mother whispered, “He found us… again.”

And when Delgado handed Richard a small black envelope — with Bella’s name written in red ink — the room fell silent.

Inside was a single message.

“Tomorrow.”

Episode 3 begins.

⭐ Episode 3 — Delgado’s Warning

Word Count: ~1,520 words

The rain had softened, but the tension inside the Lim household had not. Delgado stood at the doorway, umbrella dripping, his posture relaxed — too relaxed for someone who had just threatened a family.

Richard didn’t move. Luke didn’t blink. Bella’s mother didn’t breathe.

Delgado smiled. “May I come in?”

Richard’s jaw tightened. “No.”

Delgado stepped inside anyway.

⭐ A Man Who Enjoys Fear

Delgado walked slowly, examining the living room as if he were touring a property he intended to buy. His shoes left faint wet marks on the floor.

Bella hid behind Luke, trembling. Her mother whispered, “Don’t look at him.”

But Delgado already had.

He turned to Bella, his eyes cold but curious. “You’ve grown.”

Bella’s breath caught. “I don’t know you.”

Delgado smiled. “Oh, but I know you.”

Luke stepped forward. “Stay away from her.”

Delgado didn’t even flinch. “Ah. The protector.”

He looked Luke up and down. “You’re brave. I like brave people. They make things… interesting.”

Richard moved between them. “State your business.”

Delgado raised a brow. “Business? Richard, this isn’t business. This is destiny.”

Bella’s mother whispered, “He’s insane.”

Delgado heard her. He smiled wider.

⭐ The Black Envelope

Delgado reached into his coat and pulled out a small black envelope. The paper was thick, expensive, and ominous. Bella’s name was written on the front in red ink.

He handed it to Richard.

“For her,” Delgado said softly. “Open it when I leave.”

Richard didn’t take it. “I’m not accepting anything from you.”

Delgado shrugged and placed it on the table.

Bella stared at it, her heart pounding.

“What’s inside?” she whispered.

Delgado smiled. “A reminder.”

⭐ The Threat

Richard stepped closer. “You’re not taking Bella.”

Delgado tilted his head. “Richard… you’re a good man. A kind man. But you’re not a powerful man.”

Luke clenched his fists. “Power doesn’t matter. We’re not letting you near her.”

Delgado chuckled. “You think this is about strength? About fighting? No. This is about debt.”

Bella’s mother stiffened. “I paid what I could.”

Delgado turned to her. “You paid nothing. You ran.”

Bella’s mother swallowed hard. “I did what I had to.”

Delgado leaned in, his voice low. “And now I will do what I have to.”

Bella grabbed Luke’s arm. “Please… don’t let him take me.”

Luke whispered, “I won’t.”

Delgado watched them with amusement. “Touching.”

⭐ The Warning

Delgado walked toward the door, pausing only once.

“Tomorrow,” he said. His voice was calm, almost gentle.

Richard frowned. “What happens tomorrow?”

Delgado smiled. “I return.”

Bella’s mother gasped. “No—”

Delgado continued, “And when I do, I expect Bella to be ready.”

Bella shook her head violently. “I’m not going anywhere with you!”

Delgado looked at her with chilling patience. “You will.”

Luke stepped forward again. “Over my dead body.”

Delgado’s smile faded. For the first time, his eyes hardened.

“Careful, boy,” he said quietly. “I don’t like repeating myself.”

⭐ He Leaves

Delgado opened the door, letting the cold air rush in.

He turned back one last time.

“Tomorrow,” he repeated. “Don’t make me come inside again.”

Then he left.

The door closed. The house fell silent.

⭐ After the Storm

Bella collapsed onto the sofa, shaking. Luke knelt beside her, holding her hands.

Richard stared at the black envelope. Maya stood frozen near the stairs. Bella’s mother paced, whispering, “He found us… he found us…”

Richard finally opened the envelope.

Inside was a single card.

“Tomorrow. Midnight. She chooses.”

Bella’s heart dropped. “Chooses what?”

Her mother whispered, “Whether she goes with him… or he takes her.”

Luke stood. “No. No way. We’re not letting that happen.”

Richard nodded. “We’ll protect her.”

Bella looked at all of them — Luke, Richard, Maya, her mother — and felt the weight of the world pressing down on her chest.

“What if he’s right?” she whispered. “What if I can’t escape him?”

Luke cupped her face gently. “Bella… you’re not alone.”

Bella’s mother sank onto the floor, crying softly. “I’m so sorry… I’m so sorry…”

Richard clenched the card in his fist. “Tomorrow, he comes back.”

Maya whispered, “Then tomorrow… we fight.”
