Phone call with SC: Sinita si Maya dahil di nagtext agad pagdating ng bahay.
Kaloka si ser chief bf lang ang drama .. makinig daw si Maya sa bawat detalye ng usapan nila ..di agad nakatext si Maya aburido na na agad ang lolo mo.
Maya: Ayan ka na naman eh, tuwing mag uusap na lang ba tayo magsosorry ako sa yo??
Biglang baba ng tono, sabay sabi, natanggap mo? Hahaha natameme ang pagkatiger mode ni ser chief.
Maya: Oo, natanggap ko *tuwang tuwa* pero sana sa susunod wag ka na magbibigay ng kung anu ano.

Maya: Pero Ser Chief…

Guys napansin nyo un commercial na last scene na meron white rose bouquet na same pa sila ng color ng damit?

Gustong gustong mag cheer ni nikki for nicolo, pero di nya magawa hahahahaha at sapilitan ang pagpalakpak ni nikki for luke

Maya of course said na gusto or words to that effect kaya SC said, “good!”
Nakikita ko na SC won’t take no for an answer talaga, hindi na niya pakawalan si Maya!
At a restaurant:
Dinala pa talaga sa restaurant na kilala sya… oh my Gee Mr. Lim.
Si Simon so respectful pati kay SC. Simon needs a hug. Halos sabay hihilahin ni Simon at Ser Chief ang upuan for Maya but Simon gave way.
Kawawa yung Pambansang Bayani ng mga Friendzoned. Hindi makarelate sa wine incident.

Did anyone else notice na during the bb game… parang nagpatalo si Nicolo kay Luke para hindi na naman mapikon yung isa.. and Nik saw through him kaya they were exchanging meaningful glances after the game? Cute!!!!
I was about to point that out Because Niccolo was already a sure-win sa game. Naku, mukhang hindi lang si Ser Chief at Atty. Ryan ang may bromance.
Yes! I hope mas madaming scene ng Nik-Nic kesa sa Lukey lols. Walang kalatuy-latuy si Joey parang di nya bf si Luke.
I felt bad for Simon…hindi sya naka relate hays na OP sa mag MU. Mukhang hindi kuripot si SC ngayon.
Ang daing na bangus bow. Awkward naman ng lagay nilang 3 ..kaloka wawa Simon, yong nagyaya siya tuloy nagmukhang sabit.

I felt really bad for Simon in this episode kahit na I ship Maya with SC.
Feeling ko mejo overkill yung paglampaso ni SC kay Simon for some reason… gah.. I didn’t wanna say it pero nagmukha tuloy si SC na jerk o rude sa mga mata ko. Buti na lang Simon is a good friend talaga as much as he’s an admirer of Maya. Parang ang nangyari e SC competed with him while Simon wasn’t trying to do anything at all. LOL
May graduation pa na aatend si Simon, so will see kung may magsisimulang lovelife by then… Baka ipinakita lang today ang closure between Maya and Simon!

I also felt bad for him but it’s better off na reality strikes him hard para maka move on na rin siya.
Yun nga eh, SC appeared angas. Iba talaga ang singkit kapag na in love. Pero mabuti nga yun. The writers are only assuring us na SC won’t be taking any chances na makakawala pa si Maya sa kanya. You could only imagine him if he is in full-blown jealousy na come the likes of Capt. Ventura.

Kakatuwa talaga itong BCWMH puro good vibes lang. Nakakatawa na pati si Simon natuwa don sa bickering noong dalawa.

I guess this episode is Simon’s moment…showing an honorable way of acceptance of defeat and a graceful exit…Simon, sana anjan ka pa rin as BFF ni Maya.
Congratulations, writers for an awesome redeeming moment for Simon… wala talagang bad vibes!!!

I like simon and i wish him well but m not disappoibted at ser chiefs actions. wala naman ginawa si ser chief. Ser chief and maya were just having a pleasant conversation about the upcoming graduation. nothing romantic sa topic na yun. simon felt the electricity between maya and ser chief. If simon felt out of place wala naman kasalanan si ser chief doon.
I can relate sa reaction ni Nikki when Nicolo handed her his shirt …had a good laugh.
Please naman bigyan na ng lovelife si Simon before ma-write off ang character nya. The guy is a good catch!
The flowers that was delivered to the condo may have come from SC. Hahahahahahahaha na-trigger siguro noong flowers ni Simon. I bet ginawa nya yun dahil sa preview parang they talked about na hindi na si Maya iiwas sa kanya.
What I’d have wanted to happen sana is for SC to act cool and collected and not competing for Maya’s attention in front of Simon.. occasional meaningful glances thrown her was would be nice though. Tapos, he’d allow the both of them to really talk things through… pero we’d all see him stew and fret with worry and because of a sudden slew of jealousy do something randomly out of the norm..lol. Then he can call Maya while the two are talking to check in …kung nakaalis na si Simon and what they talked about. Ending with him calling Simon to officially back off.. by explaining his intentions kay Maya.
Thing is.. as much as I like SC being petty kasi it’s hilarious to watch him acting like that around Maya.. I don’t want to see him come across as anything but a gentleman to the others. He can act like an overgrown baby boy kay Manang Fe and Maya and I’d find it cute.. and he can be jealous over Maya while he’s on his own.. pero I don’t want the others to completely see that pettiness in him. Gusto ko for Maya’s eyes only lang un. I must be weird. hehe.. I really felt bad kasi for Simon talaga.. gah.. buti nalang he is not a bad seed. He’s always good-natured.

I loved that part where Simon oh so simply said, that Maya’s family was going to stay at HIS place because Nanay Tere agreed. Though parang I seem to remember it was Mamang who was all excited to stay over at Simon’s place. Whatever.
Because the look on both Maya’s and SC’s faces was to die for! And the way they both rounded on Simon “Why didn’t you say so? Why did you let us go on arguing?” – bwahahaha, well played, that!
Now all the darling boy needs is a love life, and I can rest content.

Yung mga bagets pinapakilig ako.. hahaha.. and when Joey looked at Nikki in wonder when the latter cheered for Nicolo.. I wanted to bite back na.. ang lagay ikaw lang ba dapat may love life ha Joey? ) I’d have liked her a bit siguro if she’s portrayed as insightful and teasing Nikki in secret about her crush.. kasi I feel like Nikki follows her kuya and Joey like a puppy tapos lagi nalang siyang naoOP.. tapos she’s afraid to be depicted as that close kay Nicolo din. Although, young pa naman talaga siya. How long kaya itong BCWMH? Sana may time skip pag may movie.. tipong freshie na si Nikki sa college. ^^

Super saya ang episode today. I was laughing from ear to ear. Galing talaga ng mga writers, even the most awkward moments between SC and Simon, nagawa pa nilang maging nakakatawa. Priceless then ‘yong facial expression ni Jodi when Simon said na ok siya na sabay-sabay na silang mag-date.
I am so glad na hindi nagpa-talo kaagad si Simon. Kaya lang, mga biit-bit lang yong nakuha niya, SC got the girl. The bottom line is that he knows that Maya is happier for them being just friends. He would still continue to love her, dahil mas masakit para sa kanya if he’ll stop loving her. It doesn’t mean that he won’t love sommebody else either. Ang puso kasi pwedeng mong lagyan ng compartments e. I believe that Simon had already tried to put Maya in a special compartment is his heart nung period of long absence, kaya lang talagang very strong pa rin yong love niya for her. That’s why , nung niyakap siya ni Maya ng mahigpit, his feelings rush back at the fore. But now that he saw Maya and SC together, he realised na wala na talaga siyang pag-asa.
I understand now why the writers brought Simon’s character back and this is to show Richard that true love is enduring, kind and patience. Nagpaparaya and definitely not possesive. Sana, Daddy Singkit will take notice of this, dahil ‘yong pagiging over protective niya will be the source of Maya’s unhappiness.
I believe Simon and SC will become good friends. Baka hihingi pa siya ng tip kay Simon kung ano yong mga weakness ni Maya para mapa-bilis yong ligawan. If ever, hihingi talaga ng payo si Richard, I think the first thing that Simon would tell him is that to ask Nanay Teresita’s permission to court Maya.
Maya’s family is coming over to attend her graduation and it will be the perfect time for SC to do it. I can’t wait for that episode to happen. Mangyayari kaya ‘yon? Abangan natin kapamilya.

I think more than the good vibes of the show, parang I feel the two shows give mutual respect to each other. From the interviews kasi of the cast, you can feel na ayaw din nila magkabangaan ang EB at BCWMH!!!

Akala ko yung kahapon is isa sa mga favorite episodes ko, e mas favorite ko pala yung ngayon. At mukhang magiging favorite episode ko pa araw araw habang duma da moves si SC. Tagal ko kayang hinintay ‘to…8 months in the making…
I knew it! It showed on Simon’s face that he realized defeat during the wine convo. He’s a gracious guy and finally knows to back-off this time as he clearly sees Maya’s attraction for SC. Interestingly, Simon will paint the picture for Maya that SC is really into her (beyond friendzone). Brilliant move on the writer’s part! It reinforces a strong friendship between Maya & Simon, now extending to SC. He will likely be an advocate for their blossoming relationship.
I don’t believe we’ve seen the last of Simon either. There are off cam pics of Simon with Luke at the Lim home, perhaps for graduation? I have a feeling SC will throw a party for Luke and Maya.
And, no worries! They showed Simon happy, not kawawa in today’s epi. Perhaps his “giving way” can be misconstrued as a weakness initially while SC’s determination to pursue Maya came across too strong. The contrast likely magnified it which made some people really sympathize with Simon. Overall, I’m glad SC stood his ground. He’s consistent! He loves Maya and will fight for her when needed. Had he let her go on the date with Simon alone, would’ve raised doubts in my mind of his intentions once again.

It’s amazing how this show can draw out all kinds of emotions from its audience in less than half hour. Just a sold proof that it is well writen. I was happy, sad, tickled pink and slightly frustrated all at the same time. Emotional overload indeed.
This is the version of Maya I was saying couple of nights ago that I miss. I love her witty sense of humor. She’s definitely in a tough position. Both men are improtant to her, of course in different ways, and she doesn’t want to hurt any of them. Her suggestion of taking the “jeep” was a clever idea. Though I had to laugh on that one! But very smart way of staying neutral. She stays in her true colors, inspite Richard offering her with elegant food, she still stuck with what she’s comfortable with. I mentioned that I’m a bit frustrated, because at this point, I know and as audience can already tell she knows what Richard’s intentions are. I’m wondering why she’s not being open to Eman about it. Doesn’t she trust him? Poor Eman, he’s left in the dark all confused.
Richard is on top of it! He’s very quick and fast on his feet to think of ways to be ahead of this so called, “competetion”. Unlike Simon, Richard is very assertive. He took control of the situation in no time. Maya and Simon couldn’t help just to follow his lead. His quality of being a shark in business, came out when he completly manupulated this whole thing. Especially, when he brought up the “wine” joke. He knew, this is something only Maya and him would understand. Eventhough, Simon got to Maya first, Richard managed to make Simon look like he’s the third wheel.
Here comes the not so happy part. My heart breaks for Simon. There is really nothing wrong with him and he’s almost the “perfect guy”. He’s just like Maya, he loves unconditionally. This somehow tells me, that Simon’s love for Maya could be greater than Richard’s. Simon had made the ultimate sacrifice. He saw how happy Maya is around Richard. Clearly Simon’s heart was breaking to million pieces and still forced himself to smile when he said, ” I love watching you two…” Seeing the woman he has loved for so long happy is the only thing that is important to him. Simon is willing to give that to Maya even if it’s not with him. He is man enough to recognize all this and simply walks away. If that’s not true love, then I don’t know what is.

Hindi dahil naunahan siya mang invite, hindi na siya tutuloy. Maya had a choice. Pwede siyang pumili ng sasamahan.
Oh Simon, the ever gracious and good-natured Simon. Nasan na kaya ang mga kalahi mo? I want someone bubbly din for Simon. Para kasing maiintindihan at susuportahan niya lahat ng kaadikan ng magiging girlfriend niya.

The plot thickens and smells nothing but love and testosterone. Ser Chief, pinapatunayan mo talaga na ikaw ang fastest turtle in the world. Finally what the trailer promised us 8 months ago Thanks for posting.
In the real world, normal lang ang reaction ni SC who is fighting for the one he loves!!! Upon review, he didn’t do or say anything offensive…binakuran niya lang si Maya with his normally imposing presence. The contrast between Simon’s personality and SC’s was highlighted lang when they juxtaposed the two’s actions/reactions. One was fighting while the other was conceding defeat. Naturally, in a love story dapat isa lang talaga ang mananalo. We got naman what we were asking for…SC fighting for Maya.
Kudos to Paul Jake for bringing justice to the role of Simon, ang galing ng facial expressions niya!!! Galing talaga ng casting ng BWMH, bawat isa brings color to the show.

Another sleepless night because I am super kilig. However, it isn’t only about Maya and Ser Chief, it is also about Nicolo and Nikki. They are so dang cute. I love that Nicolo allowed Luke to win on purpose so he would look good in front of Joey. Nikki got it. She knew what he had done and she seemed really pleased with Nicolo. Hangsuweeeeet nila!
Simon is a true gentleman. He sensed that the relationship of Maya and Ser Chief is different and special. He acknowledged it by saying ” ang sarap ni yong panoorin magtalo.” And if the teaser is right, he was true to what he promised Maya and Nanay Teresita that he will stop pursuing Maya romantically and just remain friends with her. Having said all that, I hope that Simon finds someone soon. I would love to see him happy with someone.

Ganda tuloy ng reaction ni maya sa flowers… na-shock na natulaley at di makapaniwala. Nakaka ayiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
FINALLY Ser Chief is taking a leap of faith! He is now making it formal ( except there’s still no I LOVE YOUs ) that he is really interested on Maya in a romantic way.

I like how Simon becomes Maya’s springboard. At least he gives “male insights” that help Maya understand or at least get an inkling of what’s going on. Some sort of idea on Sir Chief’s actions and gestures towards her. She’s just waiting for him to verbalize it just so it’s clear.
I like that scene where Sir Chief opens up to Maya about his past. This is the first time that we saw him loosen up quite a bit. He was just so “at ease” and “happy” being with our Maya-nella! Likewise, our Mahal na Prinsesa is starting to feel comfortable around her Sir Chief, thus, “SC thank you ha kahit papano nasasanay na ko sa ganito, yung magkaibigan tayo na IBA”….and SC picks up his cue from that statement 🙂 He is sure of his feelings towards Maya, but he wants her to be “ready” before he finally start his moves.
Evidently, Manang Fe is extremely happy that SC finally came to his senses. We all know that she’s the # 1 fan of these two…I admire her for respecting SC privacy too, she’s just so happy seeing him/her/them on the sidelines.
NOW, that Date!!! It’ll happen of course 🙂 Jodi and Jimuel tweeted about it so it’s going to happen next week 🙂 It will probably take a couple of minutes before Maya can process what Sir Chief just said. It’ll take a while before she realizes that SC just asked her on a date…so we just have to wait and see! I hope it turns out to be one perfect date with a dance 🙂

I think the mere act of Ser Chief holding Maya’s hand is Vitamin- K for most of us already
But I’m thinking there might be a twist since there’s that scene when Maya’s shoe was left behind. I guess, they won’t make it in time for the cruise (Pasig River cruise ship ba ‘to? Like the Bea-John Lloyd movie in 2010?) Then again, they can always still be romantic even without riding the cruise ship right?

In a way I get kung saan papunta yong writers with Maya’s reaction. There is hesitation on her part because subconciously she knows that if the relationship goes to the next level it may complicate her dream of becoming a flight attendant, nasa ngayon is her full focus so she is trying to contain herself and leave things as they are. There is also the fact that she was never in a relationship giving it another level of complexity on Maya’s part.

MANILA, Philippines – One of the lead stars of “Be Careful With My Heart” hinted that the hit ABS-CBN daytime soap has been extended again.
It was earlier reported that “Be Careful With My Heart” has been extended until mid-2013, but leading man Richard Yap said the series is “going to be more than the June date.”
“They haven’t really told us yet kung hanggang kailan, but we feel that it’s going to be, the story will go a long way,” Yap said in an interview during the launch of his new endorsement, Amigo Segurado pasta, on Thursday.
“Hindi pa namin [alam] exactly when, but for now, I think it’s going to be more than the June date,” he added.
Yap said he is happy with the success of the series, saying that it has helped him become closer again to his wife, Melody.
“We’ve grown closer together because of the business [kasi] palaging kami ang magkasama,” he explained. “Kasi when I was working [before showbiz], may time ako, naggi-gym ako, or minsan billiard with my friends. Ngayon, wala talagang oras so trabaho, bahay, trabaho, bahay. So we’ve grown clsoer together, which is good for us also.”
Yap also denied rumors that his showbiz success has gone to his head, saying that he is “still the same person I was.”
“Kung minsan moody ako, it’s because I was like that already before, kapag pagod ako or gutom ako. Hindi ako nagbago just because naging artista ako. Siguro mas naging noticeable lang ako on TV,” he said.
The actor added that his wife has helped him keep his feet on the ground and resist temptations that come with being a showbiz personality.
“I think at my age, I know better that you have to keep yourself from these things (temptations). So if you see things that are not right, you try to stay away agad. And my wife is always with me and that helps me, also keeps me grounded, keeps me good. You have to think of your family also,” said Yap, who is already in his forties.

Just as the main cast of the hit Philippine daytime series Be Careful With My Heart landed in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, a feature writer friend of mine posted on his wall what could be the top three questions every fan around the world is asking until the next episode runs on Monday:
What will Maya do with Sir Chief’s injured finger? What was Sir Chief thinking by sending those red roses? Will anyone admit who broke the piece of porcelain?
If you’re not a member of the “cult”, you’re probably wondering: Who is Maya and Sir Chief? What about the red roses? And what exactly are they talking about?!

Let’s rewind to July 9, 2012. Be Careful With My Heart’s pilot episode about the innocent nanny Maya (played by Jodi Sta Maria), the heartbroken businessman fondly known as Sir Chief (played by Richard Yap) and his three children (played by Mutya Orquia, Janella Salvador and Jerome Ponce).
It was a shot in the dark. A flash in the pan. After all, it was a daytime romantic comedy pitted against a hit, almost iconic game show from another TV network.
Yet now, 138 episodes later (and rising), the unlikely hit has gained an almost cult-like status among fans, which explains why even the media in the UAE were in a frenzy during the stars’ first visit to the country at the start of their world tour to promote their TV series.
Gulf News got an update from the cast in this Q & A:
Are there plans of making this into a movie?
Jodi Sta. Maria: Right now our schedule is somewhat hectic since we are filming episodes every day. But if we are given the time to shoot a film, why not?
Will Sir Chief and Maya get married?
Richard Yap: It’s too early to say. And I haven’t even courted her yet! (he quips).
Do you think the series will be extended until December?
Richard Yap: Right now there is no confirmed date as to when Be Careful With My Heart will run its final episode. It could be in December, or it could be longer.
What makes this show different?
Richard Yap: I think because it is a feel-good show. It is something that can happen in real life. There are lessons and a lot of moments where we try to make the audience feel the [thrill].
Jodi Sta. Maria: It’s light and wholesome. When you’re watching it, you will just laugh, or feel thrilled. There are no kidnappings, amnesia or villains involved.
How do you manage your time between your family and your work?
Richard Yap: Work is keeping me busy. I only get to spend about three hours at home.
Do you still have time to play?
Mutya Orquia: Sometimes.
Jodi Sta. Maria (interjects): Mutya is as busy as we are, but whenever she has the chance, she plays with other children around.
What is your message to fans here in the UAE?

I sounded just like Eman but was screaming way much longer than him and at the same time looking like Maya coz I was jumping up and down.

This is interesting. Judging from Maya’s facial expression of the flowers, it seems that she would rather stay in the friendship level than getting into a romantic one. I am really confused of her reaction because I thought she is the one that would really like a big gestures and declaration of love. I didn’t see her as the one that would go for a platonic relationship. What has changed? Nag-gi guilty kaya siya for Simon? Well, borrowing Ehman’s words, it’s sooo confusing:-))
It will be interesting to see kung papaano mag-court ang isang Mahal ha Hari ? How would the Mahal na Hari persuade her hesitant Princess to have leap of faith with him. Abangan ang susunod na kabanata?

Lumalabas ang medyo low self esteem ni maya sa conversation nila ni kute.. Baka di daw sya magustuhan and all… But kute is reassuring maya

Ryan came into his office at ilang seconds na syang kinakausap ni Ryan pero di nya naririnig… Super lakas ng tawa ko sa eksenang to…. Ang kyut kyut ni Ser Chief na tulaley.
Si Ser Shief hindi mapakali…. panay tingin sa cellphone…

Again, a very exciting episode! And It´s happening!!! We´ve waited so long for this to happen and I can´t help it! Just like you guys, I got excited!!!
Had a mixed emotions while watching this and have to admit, I was more nervous. Watching Maya´s reaction when she got the flowers, trying to hide it
from Eman, which is not anymore new (she has her reason and i´m fine with it!). I honestly can´t explain how i feel when Richard asked her for a date.
I can hear myself whispering, “please don´t say no Maya, there´s nothing wrong with going on a date. it´s definitely fine, okay Maya? you´ll accept it, right?”
It feels uncomfortable talking to myself but i did! My head started to have negative thoughts which didn´t help me to be calm…but i have to prepare myself for something unexpected. If Maya will turn the invitation down, i will be more frustrated than Richard.
And I´ll give the blame on the writers!!! Hahaha! But Maya´s reaction was priceless. I felt like i´m in the same room with her, jumping up and down,
while watching her! And the only sound I can hear was my voice while having tears in my eyes!!!!
I was touched when Maya decided to call Kute and shared the big news! And made me laughed too when Maya started the call with an over joy exciting screams!!! I can imagine how Kute felt after hearing Maya´s screaming to death! Hahaha! Sure, it was not comfortable.
I just hope that Maya can see Richards´ reaction when she accepted the invitation. Not Stephanie, not even Atty. Ghie made Richard nervous. Only Maya can do that. I´m glad i was alone while watching this show. I was talking to myself, screaming like crazy, having a stomachache
for being so nervous, and singing the song “Torete” for Richard!!! I can´t Imagine this man having a hard time convincing his self if he´ll call her or not.
Maya has something that the two woman (Stephanie and Atty. Ghie) didn´t have. From the start they met, the joy that Maya brought to Richard´s family amazed him. Though Richard was trying not to be aware with the changes that Maya did to him. But his heart can´t lie, Richard can feel it everyday, the warmthness of her presence, he felt comfortable with the happiness she brings. Suddenly got aware that it´s impossible for him to ignore what his heart is telling. The way Richard talk about Maya made me wish that Maya can hear it. He has a full respect for her, he knows very well that she´s
different, and that´s why Richard wants to make every little thing special, because Maya deserves to be treated that way. Just like how he did, he
want Maya not to feel uncomfortable, he want to be sure that she will not avoid him again. The thought of not rushing things is just the best way
for her. And it´s working just fine.
The teaser made my mind play a little bit. Their first date, Richard thought of something different, something unusual for both of them. Knowing that
Maya is also getting torete when it comes to Richard. The date will be a chaos BUT!!! will be unforgettable for them, because they love to have each
other. It doesn´t matter where the date will be, in an expensive restaurant, or just a small imbiss, what matter most is that they are together, having
fun, enjoying every second of it, sharing laughter, and assuring each other that they will be fine.

There is not doubt that these two people make eachother happy. Anyone who is outside the box and watching how these two interact with eachother will surely say there’s magic between them. And this is including Simon. Like I mentioned yesterday, he let her go, not because he gave up on her. He let her go, because he recognizes that no matter what he does, he can never give Maya that kind of happiness Richard is giving her and vice versa. So why deny them of that.?He’s just hoping that someday he will meet that someone who will reciprocate his love.
I hope I’m wrong, but how come Maya didn’t look thrilled when she got the flowers? Is she over analizing this again? She showed more excitement when Richard gave those flowers to her that were meant to be for Raffi. She even held on to those flowers as long as she could. Same thing, for the one red rose she received on Valentines Day. But now that it’s the real thing, shouldn’t she be jumping up and down and almost doing cart wheels? If those flowers from the pass were enough to make her feel giddy inside, then this should make her feel she’s on top of the world. What she had thought was impossible before is finally becoming a reality. I really do hope what they showed in the preview is her trying to take a moment for everything to sink in. Then after that, she’ll have her ultimate giddy moment. That other yaya is wrong. The story of Mahal na Hari and Princesa not ending….it’s just beginning….

Omg! This episode is one of the best Friday episodes. There was more kilig and excitement than bitingly. Thank you thank you thank you to ABSCBN.
First of all, Simon and Maya’s conversation outside of the restaurant truly puts to perspective how Simon feels. Maliwanag…clear as daylight how Simon feels. 1. He has actually began the process of moving on and he seems ok with that. He says he is ready to love someone else. 2. He genuinely wants to see Maya happy and it seems that he is seeing the difference in both Maya and Ser Chief when they are together. 3. He just wants to remain best friends with Maya and in his own words, “gusto ko Lang lagi kang nandiyan sa tabi ko bilang kaibigan. Iyon ang ayaw kong mawala.” And finally when he embraced Maya, he was so happy that Maya wholeheartedly reciprocated his friendship. Haynaku…please please Lang…hurry up and find this gem of a man a special woman to love.

Never watched any Filipino movies from my end until my sister insisted on watching this show and since then I can’t get away from it… it’s really entertaining and it might be corny in some ways but I think most of us are but we are just not admitting it. This show has catapulted from a regular storyline to a super duper classic which also made the actors themselves gain superstardom not only in Philippines but also in the Filipino communities all over the world. I’m glad we can now watch our good old tv programmes.
Another thing that amuses me and I count myself as one are the fans. Most people would love the weekends, having to skip and get away from work for most of us but because of this series every weekend seem like a drag.
To the writers and actors of this series, salute to you and thanks for entertaining us. Hopefully you can also come down under to visit us 🙂

With episodes like this I can forgive the WRITERS for those “fillers” episodes. I think we are ready to put closure to BOOK 1.
Now here is my 2 cents for BOOK 2: If I remember it correctly, the body of Richard’s wife was not really recovered from the plane crash? Why not put a twist on it and bring her back. The almost perfect relationship of SC and Maya will now be tested. Maya of course will do the right thing. Richard’s character however, will be so inflicted between the love for his family and the girl he never thought he loves more than his wife. Ouch right, but no worries our BRILLIANT WRITERS will find ways to bring SC and Maya together in the end.
Bottom-line, you can not end this Teleserye yet!!!

“Wishful thinking”, For some reason, these two words kept popping in my head while watching today’s episode. Maya had only had a fictitious, one-way love affair with Richard back then. The only way for her to get gratification was seeing Richard happy. She had to make a conscious decision that the idea of them being together is simply impossible. As for Richard, he was living in pain of the past. He completely shut down. In order to protect himself from more pain, he built up a wall that no one can seem to penetrate. He would rather be perceived as harsh, heartless individual, than show his vulnerability. None of these two had planned to fall in love. True happiness was therefore just a …wishful thinking. Until now…
Regardless of how guarded Richard was, it became more and more impossible for him ignore his feelings for Maya. Who knows if they’re 100% sure. But even Richard said, he doesn’t want to miss this opportunity. Realizing that they both deserve this, is the first step to happiness. Both of them have always been a risk taker. Now, they’re a taking eachother’s hands (literally and figuratively), to make that major leap to something beautiful. The writers had the ability to let us in these two character’s heads. Every joy, every sadness, every accomplishments, we felt all these emotions as if were the one in their shoes. That is why, it’s natural for the audience to feel those overwhelming emotions when dreams come true.
This dawned on me today before seeing the episode. I realized, Maya was the one who prejudged Richard. While watching, she had made a statement while talking to Kute, which by the way I couldn’t help but laugh on the way she screamed on the phone. Kute may need to get her eardrum checked. She automatically assumed that Richard can never fall in love with someone like her. What she didn’t understand was, Richard was just too broken. It didn’t matter whether Stephanie was a supermodel-like or if Atty. Gie is lawyer. She didn’t give him the benefit of the doubt, that maybe what he looks for is what’s on the inside. NOT the profession nor the physical look. She sometimes lacks faith on him. Perfect example is when he promised her to write that recommendation letter. She doubted him, but he delivered regardless of how crazy it was for him. It might’ve taken Richard a while to trust Maya. But once he did, he completely trusts her. With Maya, she’s always second guessing him.
I also appreciate how we all got to see both sides. Yet, another first for Maya. It’s her first time to make Richard nervous. Poor man can’t even concentrate at work. Word of the day, TORETE! I think, even if he’s building gets burn down, he wouldn’t care. You’re still not going to be able to wipe off the smile on his face. I love Liza’s reaction. She knows her boss is in love! The conversation between Richard and Ryan just shows us how much he respects and looks up to her. He obviously doesn’t care if he was her boss nor used to be the nanny for Abby. Part of me wishes Maya can hear how he talks about her. So what we thought was UNTHINKABLE, is finally happening. Get ready….

Too much adverts spoil this episode not the cruise leaving without them or even Maya missing her shoe because we know Ser Chief and Maya can still make the best out of this date but deymmmmmmm commercials are a headache watching this episode.

It is also good that she called Kute because she seems to be the one that could calm Maya down. She really has a good head on her shoulders. All her advice seems right on. Since the next episode should be appearing in a short while, I decided to pass the time by leaving a review and opinion about this episode =)
I’m glad that Richard confessed his “conting kaba.” I feel like it eased Maya’s mild anxiety and reassured her that her nerves are completely normal…it also showed that ates are always right lolol! Additionally, even though SC said that their 1st date was disastrous, I very much appreciated the true-to-life vibe this episode gave off: that on a first date, girls will try on numerous outfits before finally choosing one, resulting in guys waiting for them and possibly missing the event reservation. In this case, it was so =)
I’m also super happy that Simon isn’t hurt or upset because of the fondness that he saw transpiring between SC and Maya during the dinner-threesome. Even though I DO want Maya and SC to end up together, I can’t help but root and feel sorry for “underdog Simon,” so I was really happy that Simon appeared to be genuinely happy and appreciative of the relationship that has fostered between my all-time favorite kilig love team…hehehe…
On another note, I’m super happy that the show also continues to highlight the other scenarios such as Luke and Joey, and Kute and Jeff, because as much as I love seeing the evolution of SC’s and Maya’s relationship, I also miss it when the show halts the other side scenarios – particularly between Nikki and Nikolo lolol…they’re hilarious: sobrang “I hate you, but I really like you!”
I’m Filipino-American – born and raised in the States – and never in a million years would have imagined na susubaybayan ko ang filipino teleserye, but low and behold, stranger things have happened because here I am, 110% addicted to this show! It’s nice to see that a light-hearted teleserye has allowed me to get in touch with my Filipino roots =) I understand and speak tagalog fluently, but since watching the show, even my parents are surprised (and of course, super happy) that I’ve been speaking to them in Tagalog rather than English. Needless to say, BCWTH episodes have become a family activity for the three of us!

This is the 5th time I am watching this episode and I still have the same kilig feeling I had the first time I watched it which was early this morning at 1 am. Wanted to scream out loud then sa sobrang kilig but couldn’t coz my hubby was fast asleep. Luv the ” ang init ” part and then it ‘s been non stop smiling and laughing from then on. Ang hirap palang tumawa and humagikhik ng pinipigilan. Now I am screaming to my heart’s delight coz I am by myself at home.
Luv it when Richard touched Maya’s hands in the car. Had a knot in my throat and a funny feeling tugging in my heart like it skipped a beat as if I was Maya, kaloka! Luv it when Richard pointed out the missing shoe. Maya looked so radiant and beautiful in that scene. Hilariously cute and unexpected naman nung tumakbo si Maya with just one shoe. Also luv it when Maya kinda nudged Sir Chief when she was making tawad…kinda telling him she is in control. Thought that was intimate…weird no? Also luv how Richard can act so naturally considering na he is just a newbie in the business.
Kudos to the writers for making this first date memorable for us viewers and for making us be a part of their date. It might have been a disastrous first date but Maya and Sir Chief were both relaxed that they could just laugh about it. It would have been more awkward for Maya if they were able to catch the cruise coz then it would be more intimate and it would make Maya uncomfortable. Baka matakot uli.
Watching BCWMH made me remember my younger years with my hubby. Being married for a long time makes one lose the kilig factor coz of everyday stresses with family life. Somehow, BCWMH revived the giddy feeling I had in me at na ha hug ko bigla ang asawa ko after watching an episode. Nagugulat na lang ang asawa ko, ha ha ha. ( I’m secretly watching BCWMH, he is clueless!)
This my second fave episode. My first one was the dancing scene with Luke when Richard was teaching him how to dance. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched that scene when he was just staring at Maya when her eyes were closed while she was dancing. She looked pretty and radiant there too and I could just feel how Richard must’ve felt while staring at her. Go check it out again guys. It’s the Feb 13 episode towards the last part.

It’s so nice that SC can experience the taste of balut instead of a fancy meal in a restaurant. I also like Maya’s nudge to SC when she started haggling for those shoes.

Since the beginning we always see Richard as the more dominant character in this story. Richard Lim, always in control, confident, on top of his game, almost like a super hero. Then here comes Maya, which we see as the less dominant. She is naïve, bubbly, clumsy, honest, sometimes timid, but her secret weapons are her big heart and her positivity. Every super hero has a weak side. Maya has somehow found the key to this little part of Richard’s heart, which is his vulnerability. As I said before, Maya is truly Richard’s kryptonite. Therefore, who is really the dominant here?
Richard is not even aware that this is happening, but Maya has taken over him. Instead of him pulling Maya to his world, she is slowly pulling him in to hers. Richard is losing himself to her, not in a bad way. His tough exterior is being replaced with characteristics that Maya has. He is definitely becoming like her. When it comes to Maya, everything what Richard is about gets thrown out the window. Now I understand why he was that broken when he lost Alex. When Richard loves, he gives 100% of himself to that person.
Everything is coming in full circle. When Maya decided to leave her shoe, old Richard would’ve gotten irritated and tell her, that she’s not thinking again. But for some reason, all the things that used bother him about her and the same things that are putting smiles in his face. When I saw that scene Maya made Richard run for his life just to catch the ferry. I instantly said to myself, “Ha! Who’s the boss now”. Only Maya can make Richard nervous like this. And I’m glad he admitted it to her, but at the same time, reassured her that everything will be fine. We also witnessed another first. Today, was the very first time Richard had completely lost his composure. He’s always been ready to protect Maya at all cost…Always ready to defend his “Princesa”. Although, so far the date is not going according to what he had planned, but at the same time, this is becoming a blessing in disguise. This way they can have a more intimate conversation. Like I said above, Maya is pulling Richard in her world. He doesn’t need a fancy dinner to impress her. Eating street food and having a good talk over it, couldn’t have been more perfect for her. For a moment there, I thought Richard was going to slip when he said what he hates the most is when he sees the people close to him get disrespected. I thought he was going to say, “people that he LOVE”. But I guess, he caught himself and didn’t say it. I can’t help think tough, with all the amazing things that are starting to happen between him and Maya, when will he incorporate the children in the equation?
To answer my question earlier, Maya may look weaker, but don’t under estimate her power. She had put together once a chaotic family and became the glue to them. And now, she had tamed a lion, Richard.

What I like about this episode is how Ser Chief let Maya lead the tempo of their date. Just exactly the kind of date I expected Maya would want, so kudos to Richard for being sensitive to the feelings of his lady date. Kilalang kilala niya na talaga si Maya.
We all know Richard’s character will not let himself go searching for the unfortunate missing shoe in the dark, but he did without insisting to Maya to just forget about it and to get a new one. He only put his foot down to just end the search after the encounter with the man who was leering over Maya. He was so cute standing next to Maya as she haggles for such an expensive shoes (Akala ko ba mura ang bumili sa stall vendors). LOL at how Maya can easily silenced him with just a slight nudge of her shoulder. He probably hasn’t seen anyone haggles as good as Maya. He looked so amazed and smitten haha!!!
The highlight for me is when he asked Maya what she plans to eat/do for their dinner date. That was so nice and gentlemanly of him. At the end of the day, this date is all about Maya and he gave her that. He went along with how Maya would deal with situations like these on her own while asserting himself as her escort. The man is in love once again.

MANILA, Philippines — After the first hug and the first kiss now comes the first date.
And just like those previous “milestones” in the love story between Maya and Sir Chief in the hit daytime series “Be Careful With My Heart,” the couple’s first date sent netizens abuzz.
Sir Chief, played by Kapamilya star Richard Yap, landed on top trending list of microblogging site Twitter after Tuesday’s anticipated episode.
The hashtag #Sir Chief made the top 10 list, with most tweets expressing their excitement with Sir Chief’s first date with Maya dela Rosa, played by actress Jodi Sta. Maria.
But it turns out Sir Chief failed to bring Maya to a yacht date due to heavy traffic.
Twitter user @solcaco said: “OA ang kilig ko kina Maya at Sir Chief!!!! Kaloka! Nanliligaw na si Sir Chief!!! #BeCarefulWithMyHeart.”
“OMG! Pogi ni Sir Chief, naclose up pa! Hahaha,” netizen @KarlChii said.

Grabe iba un biglang tibok ng puso ko sa part na natapilok si Maya tas sabay hawi ng hair ni SC at ang kamay na magkahawak. I never felt this much excitement that only a show can bring.

There is a twinkle on Maya’s eyes when she talks to Ser Chief or when she thinks of him or talks about him. Ser Chief has that matipid na smile on his face thinking of Maya. It’s seems that even if it is nighttime and dark out, the birds are twitting and the flowers are blooming all around them. Even though this date seemed to have turned into a disaster, the night is still young. Marami pang pwede ng nangyari sa 26 minutes bukas. Wag sana kaagad matapos itong date na Ito. Plus, wag natin madaliin ang progression. I don’t want them to ride into the sunset so soon. Keep it up brilliant screenwriters. You all have us at the edge of our seats for this beautiful love story.

AnD you imagine reserved and gentle Richard Yap (a.k.a. Sir Chief) roughing it up ala Bruce Willis on TV or in the movies? You might just get the surprise of your life.
Sir Chief of the phenomenal ABS-CBN drama series “Be Careful With My Heart” is open to playing an edgier role – if opportunity comes his way.
After seeing how his presence can make fans as young as two happy, the then-reluctant Richard Yap is no longer wary about showbiz.
“Success is not something you should be resting on,” he said at the launch of his newest endorsement, Amigo Seguardo Spaghetti and Macaroni. “You should always try to improve yourself.”
Richard Yap’s mixed feelings about success
Improving himself means going out of the heartthrob image he didn’t expect to find himself in.
“I don’t see myself as a heartthrob,” he admits. More of self-effacing, perhaps.
Richard admits he can be moody “pag pagod o gutom.”
He’s human, after all. The big difference is, he sometimes finds it hard to mask these moods. And now that he’s way up there, people sometimes make a fuss about it and call him aloof.
“Even before, hindi ako warm,” he owns up. “It takes a long time for me to get to know people. Hindi ako mabilis makipagkaibigan. I’m not the type who’d ask, ‘Kamusta na kayo?”
The emotional cautiousness might stem from the conservative Chinese side of him. But whatever, Richard is trying his darndest best to march to the beat of his more extrovert showbiz peers.
“I try to be as outgoing as possible,” he relates. “But I also try to be myself.” Take it or leave it.
Many people are taking it. At the arrival area of the airport in Manila, Richard relates how he was just standing there, waiting for someone to fetch him, when a female fan hugged him and slapped his behind.
Hazards of the trade
It’s just part of the hazards of the trade. The ups outpace the downs.
Richard’s Sir Chief character has taken him places. He and his leading lady, Jodi Santamaria, just came from Dubai, where a lot of people welcomed them with open arms.
And Richard is tickled pink.
“We’re here for a reason,” he explains. “If you make people happy, that’s very satisfying.”
Satisfying as it is, Richard doesn’t delude himself into thinking fame will last forever.
“Flexible ako,” he goes on. “If I’m no longer in showbiz, I can go back to business I don’t have to pressure myself na kailangan maging as successful ang next project ko.”
Now that “Be Careful with My Heart” is as hot as ever (he and Jodi are scheduled to go to the US and Canada on May 9), Richard doesn’t have to think about what’s next. “I take things one day at a time,” Yap says.

If the shelved movie version of “Be Careful With My Heart” pushes through after the series winds up and Richard and Jodi have the time to shoot it, that’s fine. If not, Richard will be just as happy for the chance to try showbiz and even do a cameo in Vilma Santos’ first indie film, “Extra.”
Closer family ties
Most of all, this family man will forever be grateful at how showbiz strengthened his bond with his wife, son and daughter. “Mas naging close kami,” Richard says with pride.
“My wife (Mama Chen in showbiz circles) prepares my things and acts as my make-up artist and stylist when I’m out of town. I used to have time to work out in the gym and play billiards with friends. Ngayon, trabaho-bahay na lang.”
The guy does know how to keep himself out of trouble in the temptation-full world of showbiz,where beautiful faces and beautiful bodies abound.
“I’m here for work. Tapos na ako sa mga bar,” Richard explains. No wonder the endorsements keep coming; the fans keep multiplying. The guy sets a good example for men, woman and children. And that, the reserved image notwithstanding, makes him as attractive as ever.

I’ll play the devils advocate and say na hindi pa magiging sila Maya & Ser Chief after the date. I think the writers will bank on the kilig moments of the ligawan stage a little longer.
Besides, the lungs & hearts of the viewers of this show can only take so much kilig in one week. Baka nga may atakihin sa puso or hikain dahils sa #kiligexplosion
