Continuation ng date nila sa PUS. Nagtapat ng pag-ibig si SC kay Maya ng Labor Day last year. Tapos ang Labor Day episode naman nila this year 2014 ay ang pagsilang ng bunga ng kanilang pagmamahalan.

SC: Hahaha ok I heard it. Remember that time we we’re camping out and Luke and Nikki were fighting?

SC: No, no… it was that time, hindi ko lang alam kung ano.
Maya: Dahil sa ipis?
SC: No. Silly, it was you… it was something you said.
Maya: Oh tingnan mo na Ser Chief lagi mo akong pinapatahimik yun pala…
SC: Remember that time ng naglight tayo ng lantern… that was it!
Maya: Dun Ser Chief?
SC: And then that time na nasa Baguio tayo (Ano po bang hinahanap nyo sa isang babae?)
Maya: Ako yun… ako yun dinidescribe mo?
SC: I didn’t know it yet. Yes, it was you. I was talking about you. And then I saw the pictures of me on your phone.
Maya: Ser Chieffff!!!
SC: That’s stalking you know? (cute)
Maya: Stalking?!!!!
SC: And you know what? We’re even. (Show Maya’s picture taken during the prom in his phone)
Maya: Ba’t?… Bakit Ser Chief marami ka pang pictures ko sa phone mo?
SC: No! Actually we’re not even (grab Maya’s phone).You could blackmail with that you know. May utang ka pa sa akin. Bukas na pala ang dating nila ‘Nay Teresita I mean Aling Teresita… kay Simon sila tutuloy?
Maya: Oo
SC: And your itinerary?
Maya: Ay, Ser Chief gusto ko silang dalhin sa maraming lugar, sa zoo sa theme park at saka sa Manila Bay eh kaso may flight ako bukas ng gabi di ba? Kaya baka sa isang araw ko na lang sila ipasyal.
SC: I’m just here if you need help.
Maya: Eh pero…
SC: Maya, they took care of us nung nasa probinsya kami.I just want to return the favor. Do they know that we’re dating?
Maya: Ah si Kute lang.
SC: And what did she say?
Maya: Sinabi niya na kalma lang daw ako Ser Chief.
SC: You didn’t follow her advice.
Maya: Sinusubukan ko naman eh.
SC: What are you thinking?
Maya: Yun sinabi mo kanina.
SC: Hindi ka pa rin makaget-over dun?
Maya: Sino ba naman ang makakaget-over dun Ser Chief? Iniisip ko pagkatapos ng camping at saka nun lantern may meaning na.
SC: Ah yes, kaya nun umamin ka na may crush ka sa akin halos hindi ako makatulog nun.
Maya: Talaga Ser Chief?!
SC: Yes… oh akala ko kakalma ka na.
Maya: Heto na nga Ser Chief. (Ang landi nila tawanan sila ng tawanan, kaya pati ako tawa din ng tawa sa scene na yan)
Next scene. They’re now lying down using one pillow, shoulders touching while star gazing.
SC: That’s scorpius.
Maya: Hmm scorpio.
SC: Yes.
Maya: Hihi oo nga ano ayun yun buntot. Ser Chief?
SC: Yes, Maya.
Maya: Thank you.
SC: For what?
Maya: Kasi dinala mo ako dito at sa marami pang lugar.
SC: Mas marami ka pang mararating kapag naging flight attendant ka na.
Maya: Dahil pa rin sayo.
SC: I didn’t have a choice then di ba?
Maya: Totoo ba talagang hindi ka makatulog nun malaman mo na crush kita?
SC: Hanggang ngayon yun pa rin ang iniisip mo ang dami na natin napag-usapan.
Maya: Eh kasi naman naisip ko kaya inaway mo ko nun summit…
SC: Ah yes, I was jealous then.
Maya: Hihihi. Alam mo dapat sinabi mo na lang sa akin eh, di mo ko dapat pinauwi o kaya pinaiyak.
SC: Weren’t you listening to what I said? Sabi ko I only realized it later, how could I tell you something If were so unsure what I feel for you?
Maya: Sana sinabi mo na lang.
SC: Nakakatakot kang magalit nun.
Maya: Ikaw matatakot?
SC: Pinagalitan mo nga ako nun di ba? (flashback – “Nun una po sinabihan nyo ko ng malandi” “I didn’t say that” Tapos ngayon iinsultuhin n’yo na naman ako“)
Maya: Ayan tuwing makikita ko tuloy yun most romantic place ni nanay yun away natin tuloy ang maalala ko.
SC: Di bale papalitan natin yun memory mo dun, ngayon summer babalik tayo dun.
Maya: Talaga?
SC: Pero kung aawayin mo lang ako huwag na lang.
Maya: Promise di na kita aawayin.
SC: Promise yan ha. Happy holding hands while lying down stargazing.

Oh, and Ser Chief mentioned earlier that he will visit San Nicolas again and go to the “love tree” of Nanay Teresita to erase the “away memory” and replace it with a good one.
I think it’s a foreshadowing of Maya saying “Yes” to Ser Chief under that “love tree” in San Nicolas

The Lantern– The lantern signifies the funeral of Mai-mai and Chief! Another striking moment because SC realized that it really helped Abby to move on and don’t have to worry about the two birds that she had lost forever. By that, I mean, the lovebirds are still in the heart of Abby even though when they have already departed from her. But Abby was able to cope with it and handled it with grace, just like the way she handled the death of her mom.
The Summit meeting—Richard found himself vulnerable when he didn’t get to have Maya sit right next to him, instead, Maya ended up sitting with Captain James and Emman. That same feeling of vulnerability and irrational jealousy that he felt towards CJV became worst when Maya and CJV were talking, which Ser Chief thought that she was flirting with him. But when he confronted Maya and demeaned her, Maya was deeply hurt. But later, he found out that he was truly “in love” with this girl, but he it was hard for him to admit in front of Maya.
This episode has so many hidden meanings behind every word they’ve said. When Maya saw Toni at the open field, she was kind of leaning to Ser Chief just to reassure that they will be safe without knowing that Toni is completely harmless guy and had been friends with Richard.
I LOVE YOU TOO …Aawww sa petals ng sunflower. Maya, bakit naman si Mr. Sunflower ang sinabihan mo nyan? Di ba dapat si SC? Katabi sa pagtulog ang sunflower. Practicing na ba si Maya? Next time si SC na katabi nya. Yay!

Ricardo, hats off to you sweety. He was so candid in relaying to Maya the things he had done before when he wasn’t too sure of his feelings for her .
confused. What he can feel comforts him, warm his heart. It was not easy for him to let Maya go out from the mansion but it is a chance for him
to confront his self. What he really feels for Maya. And like what Richard said, it worked out for the best. Richard felt sure about it. He love this woman.
She´s the woman he described in Baguio, the woman who will love him and his children, the woman who love her family more than any thing.
She is the one who brought life to them and lightened the path for their new journey. After I watched today´s episode, I thought of watching again that episode where Maya and the Lim children lightened a Lantern. Again, it brought
tears into my eyes. It´s for their Mom, for Alex. Sadness is still in their hearts but they´re able to go thrwith it. They let go of the past and thoughtfully,
Maya hold them tight and covered them with her warm heart. Watching Maya getting more excited everytime Richard will say something about her, I honestly don´t know how to calm myself.
I still can remember the first time Richard accidentally touched Maya´s hand….when he tried to get Abby from Maya´s arm. Then, when they both
tried to open the car door and touched each others hand, where Richard is helping Maya for her interview. I have to smile with kasamang kilig
because of Maya. Richard has also some breathtaking moments…. Maya wearing that dress from Raffi….Maya´s first training day in Time Airways where she´s perfectly dressed up like a real FA…Maya with that black little dress…. Richard is the opposite of Maya, though. Reason why it always surprised her
everytime Richard complimented her. (Well, it was not easy to guess Richards´ unstable moods. Not to mention him being suplado when Maya
was answering the slam book for him.) I love that episode, though!!! His words still bring electricity in her heart but the touch brought new meaning to
them, Laying beside each other under the moonlit sky, is indeed, the best romantic way. Feel comfortable from each others touch while sharing thoughts, reminiscing the good and difficult memories they´ve shared. I was a bit frustrated, though. Richard was able to tell what he feels for Maya. I was hoping that Maya will have the same chance like Richard.
Would be great for sure, if Richard will hear it, Well, I don´t want to say I had enough for today, but I guess, It will be difficult for me now to handle
too much excitements!!!
One more thing, I have this thought for two weeks now…. Richard and Maya are starting a new chapter of their lives together…not yet official
though but thy´re both taking the same road. I guess i don´t need to be troubled about Richard if he´s addressing Maya as “Maya.” Hmmmm…
but Maya?…. they have different situation now. Like what Richard said, she´s not working anymore for him….and he also agreed with other
name….. what about something different? Writers! Writers! I´m just curious!

Parang last weeek lang na-hire yang si carol, pasaway pala!!!!
Thank you, BCWMH. Finally, we are able to demystify Ser Chief by allowing us into his mind and understand his thoughts on how he felt for Maya all this time. Sure, we got a glimpse of a few side stares or caught him smiling at what Maya may have said or done but still, somehow, iba yung when he really admits it to Maya or to us viewers. I used to think you’ve got to have physical attraction first before you can love someone but this show depicted the opposite. Ser Chief used to hate Maya’s guts but slowly and surely, Maya was able to get through to him. I think this is the best kind of love that one can experience. A kind of love that catches you by surprise and then just keeps growing and growing.
Although the scenes are so tender and nakakilig, I have a different scene in mind if I were to be the director…ha ha ha…naks ha! pasensiya na ,,,,but I really wanted to get into the screen and just flip Ser Chief over and let him lay on his stomach, beside Maya, and just talk to her that way, face to face, about the summit and how he got jealous and all the other stuff they talked about and then maybe a tender kiss? Di ba mas nakakilig yun? And speaking of kiss, bakit wala man lang kiss at the end of the date? Nag kiss nga siya nung after the prom date tapos ito, wala man lang “thank you for a great date” kiss? Inumaga na nga sila di ba? Kay Atty Gie ba noon, did he kiss her after their date? Or is it becoz Ser Chief is afraid na baka mag retaliate uli si Maya at mabigla? Ika nga niya, when she’s ready.
I know…I know…this show is wholesome and the writers probably want to get the point across our teenagers that love can wait and that love is better when it is not rushed but I was kinda like Raffy too, saying….And…..and….. yun lang? hanep….bitin!
Nevertheless, still an avid fan. I love how Richard and Jodi can act so naturally na para lang talagang nasa tabi lang tayo nila na nagmamasid. Parang hindi sila nag a acting. I lIke how Jodi reacted when she found out when Richard fell for her and like how Richard laughed after he said “baka nanaginip lang din ako”. His laughs are so natural na talagang parang he was really amused when he said those lines.
Now, I have to “relive” with Maya and think about those times when he started falling for her by looking up past scenes and start rewatching all the episodes from then on.

Sir Chief is so good in telling stories to Maya. Sir Chief has a very sweet voice and I love that part when he told Maya about how he fell in love with her. Maya is the happiest girl that night. All her dreams and fantasies became real because of Sir Chief. So Maya, are you going to say the three magic words to Sir Chief when you go back to the most romantic place of your nanay and tatay in San Nicolas?
For us Filipinos living abroad, before we’re always excited on our weekends. Now it’s different and we like weekdays na so we could watch this show because of all the exciting and kilig moments of all the casts.

This episode is very inspiring to all walk of lives that are in love. Recalling all the memories how SC developed his love towards Maya without hesitation not thinking the status of their lives a rich man, a widow with 3 kids , his only wish is somebody to love him and love his kids as well a moment when he discribed Maya while walking during their baguio vacation. SC is Maya’s dream man, even though there’s some embrassing moments as she said but the way his man convey his LOVE she feel secured and left behind all the worries. No words to discribed how SC shows his love and intentions to Maya but the princess actions speaks more than words .

Baka matraffic sa Edsa, nagmamadaling makaabot si SC sa Rizal Park at Star City kaya MRT na lang si SC.
For me this is the episode the happiest of all. In yesterday’s episode it showed us the Richard Lim that have the ready solution to whatever issues that may arise; today’s episode gives us the glimpse of the playful Daddy Singkit. It was so lovely to watch the two of them reminiscing the events in the past that Maya made a bull’s eye in Richard’s heart. But I think merong kulang doon sa mga instances and event na pinipili ng mga writers.
Para sa akin dapat kasali doon ‘yong story line wherein the applicant was pregnant but SC thought that it was Maya. I chose this storyline dahil this was the scene where he showed so much tenderness towards Maya. From the moment Daddy Singkit saw the testing tab to the time he discovers that it was the applicant who is actually pregnant, Richard had shown a myriad of emotions. From being so angry, disappointed and frustrated to understanding, acceptance and realisation. I remember that I actually wrote in my comment that I was expecting Richard to offer Maya to raise her child; that they will raise the child together:-))
Anyway, going back to today’s episode which I have to watch 3x because I didn’t understand at first why Maya did not say back to SC the 3 magic words in person but instead wrote it in sunflower petal. I believe that when she told Daddy Singkit that ” Nadag-dagan na naman yong mga pangarap ko na natutupad.” I take it that it is her own way of confirming to him that she is his girl and he is hers:-))
I also understand now why they hold off the most awaited tender kiss, dahil they were waiting the right moment. Richard mentioned that they will re-visit the lover’s place in San Nicolas to replace their sad memories of the place. I have the feeling that it will happen then maybe at the expense of Simon dahil he will see them in their tender moments. This is my wish dear writers if you are looking for ideas:-))
By the way, what happens to James Ventura? In tomorrow’s episode, the FA who wanted to swap flights with Maya mentioned that somebody suggested to ask her but doesn’t want to be named. I take it that it is James. Siya kaya ang pilot for Maya’s last trip as a trainee? If so, would this be his final goodbye to Maya? Kita kits tayo bukas mga kapamilya.
It’s good that BCWMH is clarifying/ closing some things for the viewers like…
— PUS is Philippine University of Science pala;
— SC calling Raffi and telling her about them;
— SC showing Maya her stolen photo sa prom (I was thinking before kung paano gagamitin yan sa storyline).
— Eh yong YOU OWE ME… I’LL THINK OF SOMETHING na dialogue ni SC. Kelan kaya?
— Eh yong utang ni Maya? Nagbabayad pa kaya siya every month?
Babalikan nga ang mga episodes simula dun sa ipis. Ano kaya yong moment dun that made SC start to look at Maya in a different way. Nag-star gazing din sila that time, Maya said parrot ang nakikita nya kasi parang connect the dots lang yung mga stars, kahit ano gusto mo makita, pwede.
Yung mga lines kasi ni Maya na yun parang napaka-profound para sa akin… baka ganun din kay SC . yun lang kasi ang nag-strike sa akin sa event na yun, unless talagang yung ipis ang reason ni SC hihi!
I am sure maraming kilig moments kahit kasal na sila. Di ba full time FA na si Maya by then, magiging busy na siya. Wow ang mga “I miss you” moments na mangyayari niyan, bittersweet!!! Besides, it would be easier na for SC sa hatid-sundo niya if nakatira na si Maya sa mansyon. Wawa naman si SC pag-ihatid pa niya si Maya kina Emman ng hatinggabi.
Feeling ko na TURN ON si SC dito kay Maya because finally someone stood ground. Someone contradicted him. Someone who will fight if she knows she is right no matter what. Hindi lang sunod sunuran sa kanya as he is the Boss. Parang ganun. Hindi ko ma type yung gusto kong term eh. BASTA!
Steadfast and principled nga si Maya, someone also na independent minded. Usually for a man like SC who has so many responsibilities na and is often busy kailangan niya ng partner who is strong, can stand on her own two feet and maparaan. Maya was able to earn his respect and admiration because of these traits.

For me, the reason why they haven’t gone full-speed on adapting the formula for a new show is they’re uncertain whether a light drama storyline will be enough.
Take a look at Kahit Konting Pagtingin. I think they somehow patterned the flow of the story sa BCWMH kasi the story revolved around kilig and goodvibes rin, but apparently was short-lived hanggang 1 season lang.
Personally, I think BCWMH is one in a million – the collaboration of the script, actors, directing, cinematography – heck even the music…. it’s very difficult to duplicate and reconstruct sa ibang show.

I really admire the writers and the creators of Be Careful With My Heart, how the story break so many barriers thats why its so approachable to the masses. Borrowing the famous quote of one the characters “Eman”: The difference between the rich and the poor.. check. The young and the old..check. Family orientation.. check. Family values.. check. Filipino values.. check.beautiful characters.. check. Being human and being in love… double check…. et voila a beautiful story.
I have never in myadult life watch a show or television series over and over again least of all analyse it, i dont think it deserve an analysis, I think justice is done with all the stories presented. Maybe I get frustrated wishing it goes this way or that way the stories but come on guys its really good, im well satisfied and busog sa stories and always wanting more. The music alone makes your heart goes Kaboom. And yes I have listen to the music over and over again. Like I have watched the show so many times and over and over and having favourites series like when Kute visited Maya and they have a sing a long, which made me get most of Miss Aiza Seguerras music and its worth it. And I will have no shame to say since its my birthday on the 5th of May I have asked my daughter for the music CD of Be careful with my heart although I have already downloaded everything on my phone. I wish I can get a souvenirs from the team of Be careful with my heart. I really like them but who ever wins deserve it.

Today’s episode is bittersweet because Maya’s family arrives in Manila sans Kute. Her celebration will never be complete without her Kuya/Ate. Thank goodness that Richard comes to the rescue. I’m sure magawan niya ng paraan para makarating si Kute sa graduation ng kanyang special princess.
Maya was hugging everyone except Simon. I don’t understand why because they are friends. I believed Simon deserves a friendly hug just for coming over to see her graduate. Maya is still very awkward with her situation because her family(except Kute) doesn’t know anything and she probably still worried about hurting the feelings of Simon and Daddy Singkit.
I noticed that Simon already have an inkling that there is already something going on between Maya and SC. My heart goes out to him. Even if he said it’s okay, makikita pa rin sa mukha niya ‘yong sadness because his heart is still yearning for Maya. I’m glad Richard extend a hand of friendship to Simon by inviting him over to dinner sa mansion. I’m pretty sure Richard had learn to respect Simon because he knows that Simon truly love and respects Maya all these years. I’m sure they will become the best of friends in the future. Please dear writers, can you include a storyline when Simon meets his special someone.

I’m finding it hard to read Nanay Tere’s facial expression / body language…. I’m guessing it’s mixed emotions for her. Confused as to what’s going on? Worried. Concerned. And maybe hurt din because Maya has not mentioned anything to her. She would probably remember that one phone call where she noticed a KIND OF KILIG in Maya’s voice.
Notice the difference with how Mamang and Nanay Teresita looked at Ser Chief after Maya has left? Mamang’s look has a certain while Nanay Teresita’s like…kinda on the stern side.

Ser Chief and his interactions with Mamang and Nanay Teresita were kinda on the awkward side. Mamang is still hoping to be given a “chance” with Ser Chief while Nanay Teresita is raising an eyebrow seeing how Maya & Ser Chief talk.
I like that Ser Chief initiated the “Richard na lang po Aling Teresita”. But it seems that Nanay Teresita needs some getting used to. Balik “po” “ho” ulet sya at the car park.
Luke is pouring his attention in advance studying. Good move. Though I hope it’s not gonna make him geeky.
Nanay Teresita looked kinda scary with the looks she’s sending Ser Chief’s way. But I think she’s just worried and surprised. After all, Maya hasn’t mentioned anything about what’s going on between her and Ser Chief. Her worrying is legit. Of course, Maya if ever would have to deal with Ser Chief’s excess baggage. Nonetheless, all they need is a heart to heart talk — Maya, Ser Chief, and Nanay Teresita.
If you’d notice at the end of the preview, Nanay Teresita was with Manang Fe when she saw Maya and Ser Chief holding hands. I guess, when Nanay Teresita gets to “scold” Maya, Manang Fe will do the same with Ser Chief. Perhaps a little reminder for the lovers that they are inside the Lim Mansion and the kids might see them accidentally when they’re not ready to come out yet.
I think the reason Ser Chief held Maya’s hand is because both Luke and Nikki are at the mall pa. Only Abby was there to welcome the Dela Rosas. So, wala naman masyadong “danger”. Only thing is, Nanay Teresita was there.
Tsk. Hay, Ser Chief ( Maya mode ), he just couldn’t resist holding Maya’s hand again. The things a man in love would do.
Maya’s family is very supportive no matter what comes up they will be there for each other. If Kute didn’t make it to their flight, Sir Chief will use all his connections to help and make sure that Kute will come on time for Maya’s graduation. On the other hand, Nanay Teresita is clueless on what is going on between Maya and Sir Chief, why they are so very sweet and always smiling at each other.
Just wanted to request the writer of this soap to find Simon a special someone that will make him smile too.

A MOTHER’S INSTINCT
Oh my geee! It is indeed exciting even for me to see the De La Rosa’s in Manila. I have waited for this to happen weeks ago. It looks like Richrd’s household help and most specially Manang Fe is just as excited. I can’t wait to be the fly on the wall when Manang Fe and Nanay T finally converse. They are the two mothers that Maya has that she can always talk to if things get tough for her. As for the rest of the help, Doris, Sabel and Joma, it is just right that they be part of the celebration of Maya’s graduation celebration because Maya’s success serves as an inspiration to them to dream for a bright future, work hard and achieve. They are such great support for our Maya.
Only a mother could sense the difference in their child’s behavior with just one look. Nanay T instinctively sensed a big difference in how Maya and Richard interacts with each other if she were to compare it to the time they met Richard for the first time in San Nicolas. Immediately she sensed the bond, closeness and their “in-sync” ways. I can remember Simon making the same assessment before. But Nanay T and her dagger eye looks. (Galing ni Sylvia. She is a perfect Mom for Jodi. They somewhat resemble each other too.) Anyway, for this episode Nanay T is being observant and may have questions, worries, discoveries of Maya’s true status. I am sure they will iron it out. I saw a photo of Nanay T and Maya talking in front of the same window at Simon’s house. It looked like a heart to heart.
Mamang….she is hilarious. She actually was swooning over Richard just like she did in San Nicolas lol. Mamang may love Simon but she’s got a big crush on Ser Chief lol. I can’t wait for her to start smelling him again. It was also funny of her when she compared herself to Maya noong kabataan niya ha ha including the body. I never really saw any of her films before but I can imagine she was a pretty woman.

If BCWMH continues forever and ever, I can see something blooming between Nicolo and Nikki. I am really enjoying Nicolo’s character as Luke’s best friend and someone that has a crush on Nikki (pero hiding it pa Lang kasi bata pa si Nikki). May chemistry talaga sila ni Nikki. They have the potential to make us all kilig. Si Liam nga at Celyn, nag ILY at lips to lips na sa airport kahapon e wa eppek pa rin sa akin pero the “whatever with a capital W” medyo kindling na ako lol.

Yesterday, Richard brought up the fight he and Maya had in San Nicolas. The part that Maya got really emotional was when she said, it’s really heartbreaking when you don’t love equally. You just love alone and it’s more painful when you get hurt, because that’s when you realize more alone. With Richard’s confession as to when he started falling for her, made Maya feel she wasn’t alone all along. Every look, every moment spent together, every night cap, already had meaning. Although it wasn’t spoken, the magic of love just took over. No wonder everything kind of happened naturally. Richard and Maya are drawn to eachother as if there was gravity pulling them closer together.
Dela Rosas invade Manila! What more can Maya ask for? She’s only days away from her dream coming true. And there’s no better way to celebrate is with her family. They are reason behind why she worked so hard. To top it off, she has Richard. He has to turn his charm on again to win over her family. He did it once…and he’ll do it again. Now, he has to change Dela Rosas’ mind set towards him. He’s no longer “Sir Richard”. He’s just a man pleading for Maya’s love. Although he knows the family doesn’t know about them dating yet, his attempt to keep everything on a down low was not successful at all. Seems like his secretly wishing that the family would know already. He cares for Maya too much and that’s something he can’t simply hide. Richard is jut way too proud to be Maya’s man. That’s the beauty of what they have. Maya thinks she’s the luckiest girl because the man who was just figment of her imagination…someone who she thought was completely unattainable, has now admitted on falling for her. And for Richard, he didn’t think he can find the courage to love again. Let alone find someone who will love him and his children. Both are uniformly lucky to have one another.
With just one phone call, his Mahal na Princesa’s wish is his command. As if he has a magic wand. He seems to be only using his “I’M RICHARD LIM” power with Maya. First, when he helped her register for classes, then with the referral letter and now using his pull at Time Airways to make Maya’s family’s trip extra ordinary. Richard will do anything for her. All he wants to do is make her happy just like how Maya made her priority to him happy. Maya may still call him Sir Chief, but based on what’s been happening, Maya is now his “boss ma’am”.
Mama-bear’s (Nanay) radar is on! Nanay Teresita is well in tune with her children, Maya and Kute. Her mother’s intuition is on full blast. By looks she was giving Maya and Richard, she knows something bigger is happening between the two. Although those looks Nanay was making may look like signs of disapproval, I believe it’s more like the look of disappointment and hurt. Nanay has nothing against Richard. She witnessed what kind of man Richard is when they spent the New Years with the family. She knows Maya is safe with him. She also knows how her daughter feels towards the him. That is why she often teases Maya about Richard…him being as her “crush”. Richard being married before and having three kids are not set backs for her. Because she saw Richard as good man and a good father. Nanay raised Maya and Kute to be open with her regardless if it’s good or bad. Two things that she hates the most is being lied too and her children keeping secrets from her. Just like Kute, hid the truth about Jeff and Maya not going to Dubai and working as a nanny instead. She’s completely being blindsided with what’s going on with her “bunso”. She’s basically left in the dark and completely clueless. As a mother, that is hurtfull. As if your daughter had lost her trust in you. Somehow, you lose that sense of purpose. Nanay is basically left out on all the happiness Maya is feeling right now. All Nanay wants is to understand and not have that feeling of not knowing what’s going on with her own daughter. Nanay is hopeless romantic. She will be happy for her daughter that finally she found her king. But right now, until Maya opens up to her, she is just an outcast….
They’re pushing themselves to the limit just so they could present a good show….but it is kinda worrisome because their bodies can only take too much stress.
I really hope they get to take a good time out / break during their US & Canada tour. Some family time not only for Richard (w/ his family), Jodi ( w/ her son), Aiza and the rest of the cast BUT more so for the people behind the camera. They deserve the much needed rest

True Love = True Friend
I want to say, if Richard and Maya are the definition of being in love, Simon is the definition of a “true love”. He waited for Maya for so long, wishing that someday she would give a little piece of her heart to him. During their dinner a while back, he knew…Maya will eventually give everything to Richard, at the same time he will lose it all. Simon had two choices: be bitter or accept it. Just like Richard, Simon demonstrates selfless love. He acknowledges he can’t give Maya the same happiness Richard is giving her. Most important to him is to see her happy, even if it’s not with him. It’s hard to tell if Simon had truly moved on. Based on how his face looked at the airport, he may still in the process of convincing himself to let her go. Not because he wants to give up. It’s because he knows, Maya has someone else’s heart. He may be smiling back at her, but inside he still cries. At this point, he has no other choice but to move on. As one of the Mahal Na Pricesa’s knights, Simon accepts defeat to the King.
Even if Simon wishes what him and Maya have, turn to more than a friendship, he never forgets that he is a “friend” first. Putting his feelings aside, he wants to make sure Maya goes for what would make her really happy. For the first time, Maya verbally opens up and talks about her worries and fears. Besides admitting to herself, she finally said she loves Richard. Even after Richard talked about her fears and reassured her, she’s still afraid. And that’s when you know, when you are really in love. It’s when you fear losing that someone. Is it really just YES or No when it comes to love? Wish it were that easy. But Simon is right about one thing, Maya needs not to concentrate on the negative and what if’s. She hasn’t even given her and Richard a chance to try. Don’t try to predict. Don’t try to control. Let love takes its course.
If Richard can juggle three kids, running a company and her. Maya needs to have a mindset that she can too. Richard is the last person that would hold her back in living her dream. He is not only showing Maya that she’s a priority, he’s also giving importance to her family. When Richard came to join the family, Simon saw how Maya and Richard looked at one another. At that point, Simon knew, she’s safe with Richard. Maya holds her heart in her hand. All she needs to do is let it go. She needs to take that leap. Just like what Simon said…”tell him…”
I hope Maya will realize that gesture of Simon and treat him as a very close friend.I feel so sad that I can not see SC & Maya in person .They will have their show in Canada but in Ontario and Edmonton only.I am 72 years old and disabled for almost 12 years na, at hindi ako payagan mag travel nang akin Doktor especially mag eroplano.I live in Surrey BC Canada for 45 years na this coming October 16. Sana next time try to visit us here in Vancouver,love all of you especial mention SC & Maya.

To answer your question, I believe RoRo is a ship that sails from southern Philippines to Manila. It is of course slower than an airplane ride and that is why Kute is not getting to Manila until the following day in the evening.

Jan, you are correct. Roro is a ferry for people and cars much like the ferries you take at CapeCod to go to Martha’s Vineyard where you and your car is transported.
Theresa (Tere^) day, this is actually an economical way to travel in the Phils if you want to take your whole family and your car. Pag Manila to Panay, I think they take the roro somewhere in Zambales or Mindoro for an overnight boat ride to Roxas City or Kalibo so people can drive to Caticlan enroute to Boracay kaso it’s not that clean so just be patient with this small inconvenience. Galing with your standards, di bagay sa imo ang roro, dapat mag charter ka small plane if you want to go to Boracay….hahahaha…

Niccolo & Nikki are not at ease with each other and try to make Luke alive and forget the painful experience with Joey, Vacation the bagets will really have a fun, sana si Niccolo kasama sa bakasyon sa San Nicolas. Maybe they will go there before Maya start build-up his career as FA.
In this episode, Simon showed such pure chivalry. This scene was so tender. It is quite obvious that he still loves Maya but here he is giving her wise counsel on how to she should deal with her feelings for Sir Richard. What an admirable quality in a man. Maya is so fortunate to have a very loyal friend in him.
Sir Richard, on the other hand, would do anything so that he can be in Maya’s presence even just for a little while. Making the excuse of dropping off the merienda to the Dela Rosas at the park just so he can get a glimpsed of Maya certainly worked. Sneaky guy! But it sure earned him some points in the kilig board.
I have not been to the Luneta since I was Cho’s age. It really looks so much different from what I remember. I know I had a picture with my family right at the bottom of Rizal’s statue. The soldiers were still there but there was not off limits area. Nonetheless, the park looks better now than the one I visited decades ago.
Also, agree with you regarding Sir Chief. Instead of asking Mang Lem or Joma to bring the food, he brought it himself. Siyempre, pogi points again for Sir Chief and also for him to see his Mahal na Prinsesa. I don’t think he will be able to get through a day without seeing her. Parang tayo, it’s our fix to watch this show, Maya is his.

I want to say, if Richard and Maya are the definition of being in love, Simon is the definition of a “true love”. He waited for Maya for so long, wishing that someday she would give a little piece of her heart to him. During their dinner a while back, he knew…Maya will eventually give everything to Richard, at the same time he will lose it all. Simon had two choices: be bitter or accept it. Just like Richard, Simon demonstrates selfless love. He acknowledges he can’t give Maya the same happiness Richard is giving her. Most important to him is to see her happy, even if it’s not with him. It’s hard to tell if Simon had truly moved on. Based on how his face looked at the airport, he may still in the process of convincing himself to let her go. Not because he wants to give up. It’s because he knows, Maya has someone else’s heart. He may be smiling back at her, but inside he still cries. At this point, he has no other choice but to move on. As one of the Mahal Na Pricesa’s knights, Simon accepts defeat to the King.
Even if Simon wishes what him and Maya have, turn to more than a friendship, he never forgets that he is a “friend” first. Putting his feelings aside, he wants to make sure Maya goes for what would make her really happy. For the first time, Maya verbally opens up and talks about her worries and fears. Besides admitting to herself, she finally said she loves Richard. Even after Richard talked about her fears and reassured her, she’s still afraid. And that’s when you know, when you are really in love. It’s when you fear losing that someone. Is it really just YES or No when it comes to love? Wish it were that easy. But Simon is right about one thing, Maya needs not to concentrate on the negative and what if’s. She hasn’t even given her and Richard a chance to try. Don’t try to predict. Don’t try to control. Let love takes its course.
If Richard can juggle three kids, running a company and her. Maya needs to have a mindset that she can too. Richard is the last person that would hold her back in living her dream. He is not only showing Maya that she’s a priority, he’s also giving importance to her family. When Richard came to join the family, Simon saw how Maya and Richard looked at one another. At that point, Simon knew, she’s safe with Richard. Maya holds her heart in her hand. All she needs to do is let it go. She needs to take that leap. Just like what Simon said…”tell him…”
I really appreciated Simon’s honesty and straightforward conversation with Maya. He also had great advise about the relationship, reminding her that there’s no “pero” in true love.

The episode today became a tourist attraction for us Filipinos abroad and it will be nice to go back and see our Pambansang Pasyalan (Luneta) with a new look, the dancing fountains surrounding it.

Jan, you are correct. Roro is a ferry for people and cars much like the ferries you take at CapeCod to go to Martha’s Vineyard where you and your car is transported.
Theresa (Tere^) day, this is actually an economical way to travel in the Phils if you want to take your whole family and your car. Pag Manila to Panay, I think they take the roro somewhere in Zambales or Mindoro for an overnight boat ride to Roxas City or Kalibo so people can drive to Caticlan enroute to Boracay kaso it’s not that clean so just be patient with this small inconvenience. Galing with your standards, di bagay sa imo ang roro, dapat mag charter ka small plane if you want to go to Boracay….hahahaha…

In this episode, Simon showed such pure chivalry. This scene was so tender. It is quite obvious that he still loves Maya but here he is giving her wise counsel on how to she should deal with her feelings for Sir Richard. What an admirable quality in a man. Maya is so fortunate to have a very loyal friend in him.
Sir Richard, on the other hand, would do anything so that he can be in Maya’s presence even just for a little while. Making the excuse of dropping off the merienda to the Dela Rosas at the park just so he can get a glimpsed of Maya certainly worked. Sneaky guy! But it sure earned him some points in the kilig board.
I have not been to the Luneta since I was Cho’s age. It really looks so much different from what I remember. I know I had a picture with my family right at the bottom of Rizal’s statue. The soldiers were still there but there was not off limits area. Nonetheless, the park looks better now than the one I visited decades ago.

“I do not have time for teleseryes. I do not watch TFC. But, I started to watch Be Careful with My Heart when I read Facebook postings and [when] friends started to talk about it. I could not understand why these reasonable, smart folks (nurses, teachers, professionals, business owners) are hooked [on] watching this teleserye. Now, I am [also] hooked as well.” – Anonymous, 2013.
When Be Careful with My Heart aired on July 9, 2012, I wasn’t able to see the earlier episodes and how the characters were introduced.
It did not engage me as much then as it does now.
Friends talk about the main characters of Sir Chief and Maya, as if they are relatives. “Oh ano na ang nangyari, naghalikan na ba sila?” Hindi pa, ang sagot ng isa, but they (referring to Sir Chief and Maya) are going to a prom to act as chaperones for Nikki.”
With 211 episodes aired as of this writing, folks do not seem to get tired of the conversations between Sir Chief and Maya. The story revolves around Maya, who took a job as a nanny for the Lim Family (with Sir Chief as a father of three children: Abby, who suffers from selective mutism, who regained her ability to speak because of Maya’s loving and unconditional positive attitude; Nikki, a teenager; and Luke, who is a senior in high school.
Not even Sir Chief’s sour and peppery moods could dampen Maya. She gave Sir Chief endearing and beyond-the-ordinary service: anticipating when he wants his coffee and how he wants it. She prepares the required measurements of coffee and cream and places them in zip lock bags.
She helped Sir Chief understand human connections: with family and with his teenage children.
The plot is not hard to follow — each character is developed to its depth per week (or more) like the focus on Abby’s selective mutism. Only after several months did she regain her ability to speak, in a natural way. It started in a dream, when she became at peace and was no longer burdened by the loss of her mother, Alex.
We, the viewers, fell in love with Abby and equally, with Maya as she treated Abby like her own daughter, reading fairy tales for her and teaching her simple games that Maya learned as a young child.
As Maya immersed herself in helping the family, she also mutually benefited from them.
Maya was accepted in a flight stewardess training program — a long-time dream of hers since she started to helping her sister, Cristina Rose, in their tour guide business, showcasing destination sites in San Nicolas.
But it is not just us that got hooked to the show. A Japanese –American husband of a Filipina stylist watches it with her, and he is just as equally hooked. I asked the wife how he keeps up and she said that he relies on the English conversations of Sir Chief and on his wife for some of the deeper conversations in Tagalog. This teleserye is becoming the focus of primetime family time.
Another friend, Gemma, described how she sits on her bed, surrounded by her two young children and their grandmother to watch the show. All three generations of women share this time together.
Dinner is ready when Gemma comes home and everyone rushes to the bedroom to watch this teleserye.
Even my own dinner is carefully timed, so as not to miss the airing of this teleserye at 830pm each night. It’s quite funny when I hush my husband, Enrique, not to interfere with the dialogue of Sir Chief and Maya at a scene where the two were having a picnic in the school grounds of the university, where Sir Chief got his engineering degree.
Enrique then proceeded to deconstruct the scene and said: “Why would there be moon and stars in the cities, when the skies are polluted in Manila?” REad this article from Asian Journal:
Niccolo & Nikki are not at ease with each other and try to make Luke alive and forget the painful experience with Joey, Vacation the bagets will really have a fun, sana si Niccolo kasama sa bakasyon sa San Nicolas. Maybe they will go there before Maya start build-up his career as FA.

I simply smiled. I did not want to get into an argument, as I am so into the courtship of Sir Chief and Maya.
But it is more than the kilig factor of the courtship scenes which makes this teleserye endearing. It is also the wholesome family life of the Lims; the persistent hard work of Maya’s family, as they transformed their souvenir shop to a sit-down café that has expanded into a 24-hour restaurant, catering to tourists.
Maya seems to have a reservoir of positivity, when it comes to facing challenges. She remembers how her mother would talk about “kapitbisig,” — arm-in-arm support of one another.
Even if there are tensions and conflicts, they are organically evolving. It is about growing up, it is about selecting a prom dress for Nikki, it is wondering if another girl loves Luke, or if Sir Chief is being a good father, as he balances his work and family duties as a single parent, embodying all universal issues of life and growth.
A simple caress of Maya’s hair or cheek, or a touch to remove a stain on Maya’s lips from eating balut would send folks and friends screaming and giddy over what comes next.
The teleserye writers have gotten into our collective psyche. They respect us all by writing credible scenes we can all identify with: a crush, the prom, the first dance, a first glance at the moon and the stars, a kiss under the big tree and holding of hands.
The very last scene that got me screaming with kilig was when Maya and Sir Chief held hands as they laid down on the picnic tablecloth, glancing at the stars and the moon (even if my husband says the moon and the stars are blocked by the smog-filled city).
Even conversations between husband and wife were temporarily put on hold by Be Careful with My Heart.
And you know what else was put on hold? The fundraiser of a candidate for city council, who tried to schedule it on the same day that Maya and Sir Chief are coming to Los Angeles with the entire cast. The councilperson had to move the date.
In life, love is simply contagious — even if it is just in a teleserye. It is like nothing we’ve seen before. It is endearing, wholesome and encapsulates Pinoy values of selflessness and sacrifice for the family, being emotionally available for one another as each one works hard to reach a dream.
Good job, The Filipino Channel for giving us this teleserye. It has now been extended, for as long as viewers are supportive of all the characters and their unfolding personalities, trials and triumphs.
“Kapitbisig, kapamilya,” as Maya would say!
