Nikki: No, okay lang na kasama sya (with a poker face)
Fatherhood. Despite the conventional wisdom that nurturing is primarily a mother’s territory, fathers are as important to children as mothers. When Jeff left, Kute realises the need for Cho to keep in close contact with Jeff through frequent emails. She also spends more time with him helping with preparation for school but Cho wants to show that he is a big boy and can take care of himself. In the meantime, Simon shows that his heart is still very much with the de la Rosa family as he pays them a visit knowing Jeff’s absence has left a void. He volunteers to coach Cho in basketball only to find out that it was Cho who has all the “da moves”. He is also happy to act as Maya and Papa Pards’s proxies in school. He might not have won Maya’s heart but he is content to remain in the de la Rosa family’s hearts. Will Simon be the father figure for Cho?
Richard on the other hand remains patient with Nikki and Luke. He may be very disappointed with their actions towards Maya but he knows that they need to be heard and understood. In doing so, he uses a steady dose of empathy. He shows interest in Luke’s start of college life encouraging discussions on his new subjects and professors. He enforces family dinner together and in spite of his busy schedule he spends time taking them to the mall to shop for school supplies and watches over them swimming.
The courier. Heeding to Maya’s wish for time and space, Richard sends Manang Fe to deliver his gift – a black leather bag. It was indeed a surprise to Maya. Emman was thrilled to finally meet Manang Fe and says that it is only Joma he has not met. I look forward to this meeting expecting him to give out louder shrills of joy than his welcome for Isabel and Doris. Maya may be going through a difficult time but she cannot feel unsupported and alone. Manang Fe affirmed her agreement with Maya’s wish to stay away and to give the children their space. She asks if Maya can stand to be away from Abby on her first day of school – a veiled attempt to get her to reconsider knowing it means so much to her and Abby. Manang Fe tells Maya she has witnessed the sacrifices Richard and Maya have made and reveals that Richard has been quiet but is careful his children do not see his sadness. She tells Maya that this is only one of the crossroads they will face in their relationship. Manang Fe’s maternal instinct came through once more encouraging Maya not to give up and to stay strong.
Expect the unexpected. It is admirable that for a young girl, Abby respects Nikki and Luke’s feelings towards Maya saying that it is OK if they do not want Maya to be with them to see her off to school. As the family prepares to leave for school, Abby’s eyes are glued at the gate hoping that Maya would come. In school, Nikki and Luke encourage her but to no avail. Richard assured her that Nikki is in the next building and that Luke will pick her up after classes. Seeing that Abby cannot be consoled, Richard whispers to Abby: “You know Ate Maya, how stubborn she is. Kahit sabihin natin don’t come or she has work pupunta pa rin yun. Maybe in the middle of your class you might see her outside your window”. This makes Abby smile and says OK. Richard and Maya are so attuned to each other’s feelings, thinking what the other thinks, feeling what the other feels. Richard was sure that Maya will be there for Abby. In class, Abby makes a paper airplane and puts it on the glass window pane knowing in her heart that Maya will be there to see her, as always. As expected, Maya walks in the corridor looking for Abby’s room; she sees the paper airplane and is deeply touched. Seeing Maya peering through the glass window broke my heart; the scene stuck on my mind all night and brought tears on my pillow.
The airplane scene for me was most poignant as it brought back memories of my first day of school anxieties. I remember how reassuring and comforting it was for me to see my sister’s face outside my classroom corridor ready to give me a wave or a smile of encouragement. On those special days, I was Abby and my sister Nina was my Maya. Sadly, she passed away at an early age of breast cancer and I sorely miss her. You will always be in my heart, dear sister. I love you.
I’m thinking about it from Nikki’s POV and I don’t think anything coming from Maya will work for her. Right now, Maya is the enemy as far as she’s concerned. Interloper ang peg. I think her walls are up and Maya won’t be able to scale those walls.
I think it’s abby who will pierce into that force field she’s got protecting her heart. Abby’s innocent, straight to the point questions will be the key for our Nik-nik to remember what Maya did for the Lim family. Remember how Maya brought laughter back and was instrumental for Abby to start talking again.
Sana lang wag masyadong patagalin. We need some ‘kilig’ back in this kilig serye.
Nikki to Abby: Kami nila Dad ang maghahatid sa’yo sa school.
Abby: Hindi po kasama si Ate Maya.
Nikki: Ha??… kasama (napilitan, takot lang niya kay Abby )
Oh my Gee!!! Kilig ngunit may kirot sa dibdib!!! Aalis din sina Maya at Dorbel at pupunta sa mall? Magtatagpo kaya ang dalawang grupo? Parang kinakabahan ako bigla!!!
Sa kakulitan ni Abby bibigay na rin yan si Nikki. Walang bukambibig si Abby kundi Ate Maya.kung tatarayan lang di na naman ulet ni nIkki si Maya e dapat hindi na talaga sumama sa paghatid.
IN FOCUS
Taking pictures is easy. Taking good pictures is much more difficult. There are many factors involved in taking a good one. A good photographer generally makes sure that before he takes the picture, his camera is in the right setting. He has to adjust the shutter, blur the distractions around the subject and use the zoom lens to bring it to sharper focus. Additionally, he also considers the context in which the subject is in. Moreover, he has to make sure that he does not over or under expose the photo otherwise, he risks ruining it.
In our favorite drama series, Luke is finally coming out of the funk that he was in. In this episode, his focus is not on himself anymore. He is starting to look around; he is more aware of what is happening around him. Consequently, he is able to see his Dad and Maya’s relationship through a fresh set of eyes. With the proper lens, his very own and not Nikki’s, a quick adjustment to his viewfinder, not somebody else’s, he actually surprised himself. He can see more clearly now!
Eureka! What a revelation! Luke discovers with his newfound set of peepers what he failed to see previously. Since his Dad and Maya decided to temporarily stop seeing each other, he notices how sad his Dad has been lately. His father seems to be lost in his thoughts more often. It is like his joie de vivre has simply vanished into thin air. With his blinders gone, Luke can now see how hurt his father is. Quietly, his Dad keeps his pain beneath the surface so that his children do not see it. But now, Luke can. Ever since he got rid of the social class filter with which he chose to previously see his Dad’s and Maya’s relationship, he has gotten more perceptive and more observant. Presently, he sees the true feelings that his Dad and Maya have for each other as well as the love that they both have for his sisters and him. Recently, he has gained a new appreciation for Maya and her enormous contribution, not just to his family, but the entire household. Finally, his eyes, his mind and his heart all came into focus at the right time so that he can truly appreciate the truth.
Luke’s previously myopic viewpoint prevented him from seeing the truth. Now, he must bravely stand by his newly-found conviction that no unwritten social prejudice should dictate to anyone who he can and cannot love. Hence, he now realizes that his father and Maya genuinely care for each other; that they deserve to be free to love each other, no matter the difference in their social standing. Moreover, he must find the courage in his heart, to stand by them and show his full support for them. He can no longer just sit idly by and let others influence his thinking and allow them to force on him a set of beliefs that he no longer believes in.
Finally, Luke is going to expose the truth. Determined, he is going to save Nikki from herself. Lovingly, he is going to help his younger sister see the error of her ways. Calmly, he is going to share with her his new discovery. Logically, he is going to convince her to see the truth. He knows with certainty that although she is stubborn, she is not unreasonable. Because she is intelligent, she will see his logic. And when that happens, the two of them will join forces together in breaking down the social wall that fallible human beings have built around them from fear of exposing how truly insecure they really are!

Sa tingin ko mas naasar pa lalo si Nikki every time walang bukambibig si Abby kung hindi Maya. Pangongonsensiya just won’t work with her Emo. Kailangan sa kanya is a heart to heart talk, like when they shopped for a prom dress.
While tingin ni Nikki e kontrabida si Maya and seemingly “inaagaw” ang dad o si Abby, having everyone constantly defending Maya won’t ease her hostility sa palagay ko. Kaya sana matapos na ang tension with a confrontation. Ang hirap ng may ilangan.Nakakabawas ng skinship scenes.. lol
Sa mga scenes ngayon, baka si Luke din ang magdefend kay Maya…napapaisip na ngayon si Luke!

Malapit na bumigay si Luke…siguro naalaala din nya yung dating bag ni Maya nung napasok pa ‘to. di ba sya pa nga nag-regalo ng pamalit? At di naman talaga ayaw ni Luke kay Maya, disappointed lang sya na di agad nasabi sa kanila tapos medyo nakakahwa din lang si Nikki .
Teaser…Nagpunta si Manang Fe sa condo para iabot kay Maya yun bag na binili ni SC. LOVE their phone convo. They are talking about the first day of Abby. Siguro, mas nakakatagos ng puso kung makita nila si Maya there pero tumitingin lang sa malayo baka sakaling makonsensiya si Nikki at makita niya ang pagmamahal ni Maya kay Abby. Nagbabantay pa rin kahit sa malayo!!!
Kausap ni Daddy Pogi si bestie Mrs. Poon..sa first day of school pa daw ni Abby magkikita ang magjowa .

“I Miss You”
Richard thought Maya forgot something when the phone rang but it was a pleasant surprise. It was Raffy. Richard tells her about the kids. She shrugged it off and said that is expected and to just give them some time and space. (Wow Raffy, I thought maybe you would have more reaction than that. Don’t you want to know what that mahadera Nikki did to Maya? Don’t you want to know her rudeness? Don’t you want to know how Abby overheard them talking badly about Maya? Hrrmp! – cross folds arms over chest) Then she asked how are they (him and Maya) doing? Richard said they are fixing things now but this only made Raffy sound worried. Richard explained that the bump they are experiencing is inevitable. They knew they were going to face some problems. Raffy said it’s temporary, Richard said yes. For now, Maya is keeping distance and not allowing the kids to see them together. She asked Richard when is the next time they are going to see each other just the two of them? Richard says at Abby’s first day of school (hmmmm Richard, that is not being “you two together”…maybe you didn’t hear her question right?) His response seems to confuse Raffy which confused me too. Richard clarifies that this is an exception because this is for Abby. They don’t want Abby to be affected with the problems they are having with the older kids. That wouldn’t be fair Richard replied. Raffy said she is sure Maya would oblige because she cannot stand to disappoint Abby. Richard hopes so.
Back at the mansion the following day, Luke and Nikki met Manang Fe at the bottom of the stairs. The kids are gearing up to go swimming and Manang Fe is fixing to leave. Luke asked her where she is going? To Maya, she replies. Luke points to the gift that Joma is carrying and he asked why his Dad isn’t the one bringing the gift to her? Manang Fe just shrugs. (You see Luke, your Dad and Maya are sacrificing not seeing each other so yall won’t get upset. You have been shielded children and do not know how it feels to sacrifice anything in your lives. Hmmp! Mag tanda ka.)
Manang Fe arrives at the condo to Ehman and Maya’s surprise. “Taray mo homie ha.” Ehman said. He was excited to finally meet Manang Fe. Maya asked why she stopped by. Manang Fe hands over the gift from Richard. In the bag pocket is a short note from him (Oh my gooseneck…I was so kilig and so sad at the same time. I felt Richard’s longing for Maya in his simple, short note…and the postscript.) The note reads verbatim:
MAYA,
I COMPLETELY TRUST YOUR SEWING SKILLS. BUT IN CASE YOU NEED ANOTHER ONE…;)
LOVE,
RICHARD
PS.
I MISS YOU
YES! ipaglaban ang pag-ibig!!! Ano ba ang alam ng isang 14 year old…sarili niya lang iniisip nya eh! Just a thought, if ma-feel ni Nikki na wala syang kakampi sa mansion, pano kung mag sumbong sya sa lola nya? What do you think will happen then?
Si Luke konti na nalang magigive in na sa sya relationship ni SC at Maya, kita naman nya ang bawat tao sa mansyon puro Maya ang bukang-bibig nila, lalo na si Abby, konting konti na lang!
Kapag si Luke bumigay na mag-isa na lang si Nikki na ayaw kay Maya. Kapag di pa rin niya matanggap dapat palayasin na ni SC sa mansion.
Bakit si Manang Fe ang nag-abot ng bag kay Maya at hindi si SC personally? Just because may usapan na sila na di muna sila magkikita di ba?
Akala ko ang usapan ay di lang magpakita si Maya sa mga bata pero sila ganun pa rin! Di ba sabi ni Maya walang magbabago sa kanila ni SC? Sa mga bata lang sya di magpapakita. Siguro na inggit lang itong si Manang Fe kila Doris at Sabel kaya sya na nagdala nung bag from SC.
Hay!!!! Bago na ang bag ni Maya!! Sweet gesture on SC’s part to surprise her with a bag. Glad he bought it in front of the kids. It’ll show them that his love for Maya is steadfast and will not waiver despite Nikki’s objections. Gosh! What a freakin’ brat she is!!! Not exactly a good example for kids. Hope she’s taught a lesson for being so disrespectful.
Remember Nikki’s line ” We don’t eat with servants” on Maya’s first day? She’s still bratty, I think that’s just her. I hope Abby and everyone else talk about Maya right on her face and Luke comes around as well.
why does she continue to look down on Maya? Maya is already a professional di na siya yaya. And besides, di naman talaga naging yaya si Maya kung hindi sila nagkaroon ng deal ni SC. Napunta si Maya sa kanila because THEY ACTUALLY NEEDED MAYA DESPERATELY and not the other way around. Sure, Maya benefited pero mas lalo sila. As SC said before Maya is a survivor kahit hindi siya napunta sa Lim family she would have reached her goal, ganun ang personality niya. Kaya Nikki Grace Lim, magtanaw ka naman ng utang na loob. Hindi simpleng yaya si Maya, binigay siya sa inyo bilang isang biyaya! Haha! Pasensiya na high blood na!

Oh, I am loving the build-up to whatever it is that will resolve this situation with Nikki. Though at this point, I want to see her grovel in abject apology for what she’s done. As in, on hands and knees with total emo. (Yes, I am affected, still!) She could at least, as someone mentioned before, be civil to Maya – SC is not asking her to welcome Maya with open arms if she doesn’t feel like it, but she could at least be civil! The old “What lovely weather we’re having” kind of thing. ARRRRRRR.
Richard and the bag – his FACE! Buti na nga, he bought it. Pero, pero, teka sandali … when they turned around after he asked if everyone bought everything? Are we to assume that he went to the cashier to pay for the bag? Or did he pull a fast one, like on Valentine’s Day with the take-out meals?
Tapos…the epic conversation between Maya and SC after they came home from the mall. SC accompanied the kids inside the house, yes? Then Maya called up after they got home, because she asked if they enjoyed their day at the mall…so what was SC doing in the car? Putting it away to save Joma some work? But…why was he wearing his seat belt? Help, I am missing something here, right? For a moment I thought he drove all the way to the condo and called up Maya from the parking lot, and that’s…malabo, right?
Emman wearing a facial mask will always, ALWAYS be counted as one of the lightest hearted moments in TV history.

On the side note, Luke watching his Dad picked and purchased a new bag for his Ate Maya, came to his own realization that he once had that special bond with Ate Maya and that he lost that bond when he allowed himself to be clouded and influenced by negative thoughts and ill feelings towards her. And finding out that Manang Fe’s the one to deliver the bag when he had expected his Dad to be the one to give the gift, gave him much to think about and ponder how he must had treated the very woman his Dad loved and cared for deeply.
To end, let me complete the phrase – “As long as the ties that bind us together are stronger than those that would tear us apart, all will be well.” So let’s just witness the journey of Richard and Maya and the whole family in their path to unity, harmony and a promise of a better tomorrow.

THE TIES THAT BIND….
This simply means the bonds in life we have made, always have a hold on us -a token that can guide us, encourage us, and inspire us to step out of our comfort zones and head right to unchartered territories and life’s experiences. The ties that bind us can be as simple, yet sometimes impossible to expound. And yet they connect us to that bond that defies distance, time, logic, age and even DNA. For sometimes, these ties are simply… meant to be.
Reminiscent of Abby’s many firsts, the pink paper airplane became Abby’s important symbol that connects her to Ate Maya in more ways than one. For it signifies her Ate Maya; the love they both share; and that special bond that had grown so deep between them. That love that Ate Maya, unconditionally gives enabling her to experience the childhood she never really had. For many firsts had been opened to this Little Princess when Ate Maya came into her young life. She had been so sheltered all her life that for a long time, she wasn’t able to be the child she’s supposed to be- carefree, inquisitive, playful, fun. The pink paper airplane – that unconditional love that Ate Maya showered her generously allowed her to step out of her sheltered life and into the real world, with all the good, the possibilities and uncertainties amidst life’s ugly realities. Ate Maya’s love allowed her to be brave, courageous, and headstrong to the challenges thrown at her – that first encounter with the kids at the park, her eventual playing with them only to be subjected to that feeling of lose when she got defeated flying the paper plane she and Ate Maya made; her ability to rise again after a stumble and taking that challenge by preparing for the battle and being triumphant of her quest in the end with the much needed help from her Dad and Ate Maya. Or that first day at play school when she brought the paper planes her Dad made; and Ate Maya putting them by the window pane to assure her, making her feel safe and secure knowing that those paper planes symbolizing her family and Ate Maya will always be there for her no matter what. Or that time when she had to give her Graduation Speech, when insecurities engulfed her, rendering her speechless, but with just a look at her Ate Maya’s encouraging “Kapit Bisig” gesture pulled her out of that predicament and delivered her heartfelt speech with pride. But as she ventured into yet another milestone in her life, her first day at the big school, she longed for that reassurance and loving encouragement from her Ate Maya that everything will be ok. When she didn’t see her Ate Maya, thou saddened, she nonetheless bravely embraced her first day at school with enthusiasm knowing that even without Ate Maya’s physical presence, she knew that she is rooting for her and is very proud of her. She just needed to remind herself that by making that pink paper airplane and putting it at the window pane just as her Ate Maya did before. With that thought, she’s at peace and ready for the challenges and the adventures the big school has in store for her.
Maya, torn between her decision to stay away from the kids and her unfathomable love for both Richard and Abby as both requested her presence at Abby’s first day at school, simply couldn’t afford to ignore the request from the two most important persons in her life. But honoring her decision, she opted to stay behind the scene and watched her beloved Abby hidden from the rest of the Lim family. She then went to see Abby in her classroom and was pleasantly surprised at Abby’s gesture of putting a pink paper airplane at the window just as she did before. With pride, she watched and wished her Baby well as she started her first day at school. Her love for Abby is so deep and true that she will defy everything just to see and be part of this little angel’s milestone.
Breakfast scene
My heart broke into a thousand pieces when Ser Chief said “uhmm…only the four of us will be going” as he kept his head down as if hiding the hurt in his eyes.
I couldn’t help but feel for Abby in that scene as she obviously couldn’t understand why bringing up Maya’s name seems to get a negative reaction from her Ate Nikki .Poor, poor little angel Abby .
But a pat on the back for Ser Chief for trying to break the icy atmosphere during meal time. He’s a far cry from the old tiger dad he was before Maya came into the picture. I sure hope Nikki realizes this change in his dad too.
After all, she once said that she doesn’t want her dad to become a “monster” again ( episode when Maya left the Lim household after the summit). Though, I think Ser Chief won’t become the “monster” he once was because of the fact that Maya didn’t break up with him and even said “kaya natin ‘to!”
1) I just have to say thank you to the writers, directors, cast and crew of bcwmh. You are all simply brilliant! You have brought so much joy to my family and myself with this teleserye. My husband watches it with me and I also subtly encourage my 2 sons (14 & 12 y.o.) to watch as there are always lessons to learn from this show. Besides if my sons can imbibe at least some of SC’s chivalry, Maya’s strength of character, the DeLa Rosa family’s resilience, the housekeeters’ sense of humour and manang fe’s wisdom… then I would have raised them well.
2) I also need to give credit to the brilliant reviewers of this forum. It made me see the “poetry in the prose” that the writers dish out every episode. The episodes may seem simple but your reviews give it more substance and depth. I always copy and paste your posts and print them for my 79 year old mother. She always looks forward to your posts. So to all of you – i won’t mention names anymore since as Maya said in the slumbook – its just “too many to mention”, thank you!
So there… you may not see my posts as often, but to BCWMH and the reviewers of this forum, know that someone from down under in sydney watches your show and reads your posts religiously. Ser Chief’s bathroom mirror scene
I liked this scene not only because we get a glimpse of how Ser Chief grooms himself, but also because I felt again ( after a long time ) their connection. Maybe because of their delivery of the lines.But yes, those simple “mag-enjoy kayo” “Yes we will” ” I love you” ” I love you too” exchanges made me feel that they miss each other.
Car scene with Luke, Abby & Nikki
I feel for Luke. This kid is torn between understanding his dad and being a good Kuya to his siblings. It’s clear enough for me that he doesn’t really dislike the idea of Maya being with Ser Chief. He should understand his dad better than Nikki because he has once loved and lost too. I think he needs to have a heart to heart talk with Ser Chief first so he could share with him his thoughts on the matter.
Another father and son scene wouldn’t be all too bad at this point. I think I’m not the only one who’s bitin with what Luke really wants to tell Nikki. Once Ser Chief and Luke get to understand each other, I think it will pave the way to Luke helping Nikki come to terms with their dad’s relationship with Maya.
Shopping scene
Oh that pained look on Ser Chief’s face when Nikki pouted after seeing him holding that bag.I wanted to give him a bear hug right then and there. But another pat on the back for Cardo because he stood his ground and bought the bag for Maya.The kids need to get used to the idea of Maya being part of the picture after all. The sooner they get to accept that, the faster we can all move on from this dramatic phase of the story.
And then there’s the Nikki-Abby scene. Lemme give Abby a kiss. She’s little Ms.Maya for sure! Hehe Nikki is a true Ate despite her brattiness. She knows that she can’t say “no” to Abby that’s why she said “okay lang ksama si Ate Maya”. She’s really on her toes whenever Abby is concerned. That in itself is a proof that this lady isn’t all evil like what other bashers would think.
Dorbel at Emman’s condo
A hilarious pair matched with another funny character! I hope in the future they get to also have other scenes together. You know,..to lighten up the mood? I’m glad that the writers are showing us the progress of Sabel’s journey to getting better education. Another values-laden plot. Kudos to Doris for giving way and for simply being happy for her BFF. Emman, I’m looking forward to more Beki lingo from you dear.Oh and any signs of Wilson soon?
Ser Chief’s car scene
The phone call was bitter sweet.It made me feel sad seeing Ser Chief listening to Maya blab about her day’s events. I was thinking,maybe in his head he’s saying “I would love to see her happy face as she tells her stories..but with our situation, I can’t do that now”
And then…the random ” I MISS YOU “…..aawwww….these are the scenes that we’ve also missed. Simple yet it gives you that lump in your throat.
I just hope that when they finally see each other again….there WILL BE A SWEET PHYSICAL MANIFESTATION THAT THEY INDEED MISSED EACH OTHER. I wouldn’t mind at all, if Ser Chief would give her a kiss (okay fine, on the cheeks not yet the lips) with a tight long hug…ahem! writers?please?*
Just a side note — What was Ser Chief doing inside the car? Didn’t he just arrive home? Was that a sign that everytime they talk over the phone it should be in a secluded place away from the kids’ ears?
The Preview
I don’t quite get it why Ser Chief didn’t personally come over to give the bag. That would’ve been a chance to act sweet and give Maya moral support.
I wonder what Rafi has to say about the current situation. Then again, maybe the writers wanted all of the Lim household to know where Maya lives.
Now about Abby’s first day at school, I think she will be there to give her former alaga the support she needs. Nikki just can’t do nothing about that . What intrigues me though is what happens AFTER they bring Abby to school. I’m guessing that the episode tomorrow won’t be as thrilling as today’s. I’ll just look forward to the Thursday episode then.
I am sure that Maya will show up on Abby’s 1st day sa big school, she loves her baby too much to disappoint her.
About the SC’s scene yesterday in the car talking to Maya, I think he’s actually there outside the Emman’s condo building to surprise Maya but maybe just decided not to go on, and then asked Manang Fe to bring the bag to her.
Luke seems to be on his final step to finally totally accept and understand things about his dad and ate Maya, he’s not really actually against it but he’s just disappointed that the lovers kept their true relationship.
I really admire Abby, she’s the most reasonable… her innocence is so cute and lovable.

8 competing entries cover variety of genres
MANILA, Philippines — A movie version of the hit “kilig-serye” starring Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap is among the eight films competing in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), organizers said Tuesday.
“Be Careful With My Heart” is one of the Kapamilya network’s entries to the annual film festival, along with the Star Cinema co-productions “Pagpag” and “Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy.”
The MMFF screening committee narrowed down the 15 film submissions to eight official entries.
According to Yap, who portrays widowed businesmann Richard Lim in “Be Careful With My Heart,” its film version will serve as a continuation of the events seen in the Jeffrey Jeturian and Mervyn Brondial-directed daytime series.The Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla-starrer “Pagpag,” meanwhile, is a horror movie that tackles a superstition among Filipinos — that one should never go home directly after visiting a wake since it risks bringing evil spirits to one’s home.
Directed by Frasco Mortiz (“Cinco,” “The Reunion”) and co-produced with Skylight Films and Regal Films, “Pagpag” also features “Aryana” stars Dominic Roque and Michelle Vito.
A Star Cinema co-production with Viva Films, “Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy,” on the other hand, will see comedian Vice Ganda take on four characters as in the film’s title.
The “It’s Showtime” host, in an earlier interview, said showbiz veterans Gabby Concepcion and Maricel Soriano will portray his parents in the comedy movie.Another big-screen comedy joining this year’s MMFF is a new installment in the “Kimmy Dora” series, which has so far produced two hit movies with actress Eugene Domingo in the lead roles. Producer Piolo Pascual, this time, will join the movie as a lead actor.
Returning with yet another major film team-up is Vic Sotto, who, after co-starring with Ai Ai delas Alas and Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr., in last year’s “Enteng” movie, is pairing up with Kris Aquino in the comedy film “Torky and My Little Bossing.”
Revilla, meanwhile, is likewise set to return to the MMFF, this time opposite Kapamilya actress Toni Gonzaga in a film titled “My Super Kap,” which is expected to feature the actor-politician in another action-oriented role.
Similarly offering a dose of action for the Pinoy film audience is the Robin Padilla-starrer “10,000 Hours,” which is seen as his big-screen comeback after his last film appearance in 2011.
Moviegoers can also look forward to a biopic of the second Filipino to be canonized as saint by the Catholic Church. “San Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir” stars JM de Guzman and Christian Vasquez.
Other submissions
Among the films submissions which failed to earn a slot as an official entry to the 39th MMFF are the ER Ejercito-starrer “Boy Golden,” another Robin Padilla movie “Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at Mga Anak,” and “Everbody Loves” featuring Jake Cuenca and Jericho Rosales.
Other films that didn’t make the cut are: “Kaleidoscope World,” starring Sef Cadayona and Yassi Pressman; “Ibong Adarna” starring Rocco Nacino and Angel Aquino; “Hope in a Bottle” starring Ruffa Gutierrez and Maja Salvador; and “Kulay Abo ang Langit” starring Carla Abellana and Diether Ocampo.
Last year, the internationally acclaimed Brillante Mendoza film “Thy Womb” made headlines after initially failing to earn a slot in the MMFF’s 38th edition. It was later included by organizers after an official entry backed out.
It went on to win several awards in the local film festival, including Best Actress for Nora Aunor and Best Director for Mendoza.

Nagsawa na ako sa issues ni Nikki so binalikan ko DVD’s.
Nag-rereview ako ng April episodes and super kilig talaga yung first date nila. Kahit ilang beses ko panoorin same pa rin yung level ng kilig. You can really feel yung chemistry ni Richard and Jodi. Simple lang lahat pero tagos.
Yung holding hands was one of the best scenes. Galing ng treatment ng director tapos ang galing ni Jodi Sta Maria naka-relate tayong lahat sa nararamdaman nya that night. May advantage din pala na newbie ang actor kasi mas parang natural pa lahat ng acting ni Richard Yap. Wala pang technique so ramdam mo sya.
Yun nga lang they have to work on how they walk. Nakakadistract noong pabalik na sila sa condo unit ni Emman. Sana magkaron ulit sila ng date. Parang 3 beses palang sila lumalabas. Isa sa baywalk and yung isa sa PUS then yung na-meet nila si Anthony. Hindi kasali yung hinahatid sya tapos breakfast. Tama ba?
I wish for more conversations between the two na hindi kasali muna yung other concerns nila. Hindi naman sa kakalimutan but yung tipong ang focus ay sa kanilang dalawa.
Haayyy kainis naman ang teasers nila ngayon di na ganong exciting. Off to watch more April episodes.

Monday was such a rollercoaster ride of emotions…it was a tension filled dinner except for baby abby who was oblivious to what was happening between the adults on the table…it turned out sad when Abby heard that her ate nikki does not like Maya for her Dad. The look on SerChief’s face when he thought that Maya is breaking up with him (precious moment!) i was able to breathe normally again knowing that the break up did not push thru…Janella as Nikki the contrabida? effective acting coz everyone is sooo inis at you na! Baby Abby…u showed potential! sweet thoughtful & loving father & daughter moment sa veranda…
the BAG episode! finally she’s having a new detachable black bag! and i was like “very good sc!” for purchasing it in front of his kids…the kilig moments is slowly coming back! i love you & i miss you lines yesterday deserves my kilig reaction.LOL I just hope that when they meet again may hug + kiss (sa cheeks )
Good News ang MMFF pero at the same time sad knowing that my fave kiligserye will soon end (Bipolar mode on) but on a lighter note i will get to meet my KBU classmates soon!

Gustong-gusto ko yung episodes last week, particularly yung prinangka ni Nikki si Maya, at lahat ng succeeding scenes… I’ve seen it coming, but carried away pa rin ako sa roller coaster of emotions

There’s always a chance to be struck by lightning, but never stop to dance in the rain. Accidents happen, but still drive, and explore. The point is, bad things happen but never stop living and take risks…be brave. Instead of sitting it out, get up and keep it moving. These are the most important lessons Maya taught Abby. Maya’s been there every milestone. Now that Abby’s ready to face the real world, she looks for the one who gives her that sense of security. Even with combined forces of Richard, Luke and Nikki, the little girl only looks for the one that matters. The one that promised her that no matter what, she will always be there on her side. Thinking that Maya had let her down, Abby created a pink paper airplane just like what Maya made for her a while back to ease her fears. It’s just so unfortunate that Abby would have to be the innocent by standard of the sacrifices Richard and Maya have to go through. And what makes it sadder is, Nikki doesn’t see how much she’s hurting the people who supposedly care for.
It’s almost wrong to say it, but Luke’s break up with Joey could’ve been a blessing in disguise. Because of that experience, he understood the pain of not being able to go wherever your heart calls home. Not because love isn’t there, it’s because of the circumstances. When Luke decided to be in a relationship, Richard didn’t fight it. Instead, he made sure he was there for his son for support and guidance. He lets his son savor each moment and let Luke experience what love can do for someone. For Luke’s first heartbreak, Richard gave him hope and that even if things didn’t work out the way he wanted to, it shouldn’t destroy his spirit. He wants Luke to believe that someone will come along that will make him forget how that hurt feels like. Despite of Richard’s effort to act like everything is alright, Luke was able to see the sadness in his father’s eyes. He saw how lost Richard was without Maya. After taking a moment, and putting himself in his dad’s position, Luke finally realized, Maya is that someone that made his dad forget the pain from having your heart shattered feels like. Just like what she did to Abby, Maya gave Richard that courage to take a chance. Luke doesn’t have the heart to see the people he loves suffer because of him. He definitely doesn’t have the heart to deny his dad of that chance to be happy again. He saw how the whole thing is affecting Abby and Richard. Therefore, Luke stopped asking, “Why her?”, instead he understood why it’s her. With a warm hug, he accepted Maya.
Luke, he truly is his father’s son! He has Richard’s wit. He even has Richard’s temper. But most of all, Luke has Richard’s big heart. Richard couldn’t have been any prouder of his first-born. He knew, Luke only needs a moment process everything and he will eventually go to places in heart to finally see how beautiful things are becoming for their family and for his dad. All Luke had to do was dig deep….

Real story of my brother:
He fell in love with another woman after being a widow for several years. His 2 sons readily accepted it but not his 2 daughters.Our family asked the 2 daughters their reasons. This were their answers : We felt betrayed. Dad does not love our mother anymore Also it is a reflection of us. that we were not doing enough to make our family happy. Two words: BETRAYAL and REFLECTION. my 2 neices used. To make my story short, given time and space: it is a happy ending for my brothers’s family.

Angels… they are around us, beside us, and even within us. Angels are constantly watching over us when times are good… more so when times are bad. Their wings gently wrapped around us, keeping us warm and safe; singing and whispering sweet music of love… and spreading goodwill… good vibes. As I put together my thoughts into words… I am reminded of a beautiful song “Angel” by Sarah Mclachlan, and what fitting song to use for today’s episode. For we have two beautiful angels in Abby and Niccolo that helped Luke see reason in accepting the truth and opening his heart once again…and finally embracing Ate Maya as his Dad’s rightful partner.

All of us affect and are affected by the people we meet, one way or another – through thoughts, feelings, words, body language and even actions. Coming into the Lim household surrounded with those negativities brought by adverse… untoward moods and actions, Maya spent a great deal of time and emotions, turning around this family she had grown to love. She took criticisms, ill feelings, hurt, and pain taking care of them, loving them. Even in her darkest times, she kept her brand of positive outlook to overcome all situations thrown at her… But in some sweet twist of faith, love found her, so did Richard. It had been gradual… nurtured… promising and beautiful to say the least… until that wake-up call, named Nikki and Luke. That outright display of dislike in Maya as their Dad’s girlfriend put them in a very difficult situation. But their selfless love for the kids, hard as it may have been, they heed the call for temporary separation giving everyone time and space needed. Focusing on the feelings of the kids, they put their own emotions on the side. Maya had been hit the hardest, for she may had put up a brave front but her eyes said it all, her actions obvious – suffering, miserable and isolated for it is always been in her nature to care and think of other people, forgetting herself altogether. On the other hand, knowing that Maya’s bag had been ripped, Richard defiantly purchased a new bag for her despite the scorn look from Nikki and Luke’s deliberate indifference. For now, the bag served as the symbol that binds the love they shared. While he acknowledged Maya’s sewing skills when she repaired her ripped bag, he sent her the bag that he openly picked in front of the kids. Attuned with Maya he too opted to honor their decision to stay away from each other; the bag gives more meaning to their love and the sacrifices they had to take for the sake of the kids and the family. From his note – I COMPLETELY TRUST YOUR SEWING SKILLS. BUT IN CASE YOU NEED ANOTHER ONE, Richard may just had given Maya his unwavering reassurance that although they are now mending the chaos that resulted from the untimely revelation of the true status of their relationship as represented by the ripped bag, that a promise of a new and better chapter in their relationship is not far ahead (the new bag). Maya was so happy with the gesture and knew in her heart that they will weather this storm- together, united, , coming out stronger than ever.
On the side note, Luke watching his Dad picked and purchased a new bag for his Ate Maya, came to his own realization that he once had that special bond with Ate Maya and that he lost that bond when he allowed himself to be clouded and influenced by negative thoughts and ill feelings towards her. And finding out that Manang Fe’s the one to deliver the bag when he had expected his Dad to be the one to give the gift, gave him much to think about and ponder how he must had treated the very woman his Dad loved and cared for deeply.
To end, let me complete the phrase – “As long as the ties that bind us together are stronger than those that would tear us apart, all will be well.” So let’s just witness the journey of Richard and Maya and the whole family in their path to unity, harmony and a promise of a better tomorrow.

That is what sets this teleserye apart from the rest,, Kahit minsan hindi masyadong maganda ang episode (my point of view)never lacking ang good moral values na pinapakita nila. I have loved this show BCWMH since I’ve seen it the first time back in the Philippines, thus it made subscribed to TFC.TV when I went back to UK, I’ve been told I can watch it for free in some sites but I have no patience for poor qualities.
I have a very busy lifestyle with work and sports. I’ve never really watched any tv series except for the news. Really I rather read a good book than waste my time watching poor shows, with exceptions of course. Boy was I wrong. I have been glued and followed the lives of your characters of BCWMH with gusto and more, the story line is flawless. You brought loads of tears, laughter, kilig moment all the emotions we can experience I think we’ve experienced it all.
The feel good factor, the family value, the sense of camaraderie thus you can see the thread here at your comments and review corner how your viewers react. Its all good never seen such phenomenon.
I love making light hearted comments, my opinion and deep analysis is not needed here because I believed that everyone who penned their opinion here are so well deserved, full of heart and intelligence. I will say almost everyone.
Lately I couldn’t even review or make comments, I watched the show/episode not as much as I want to, maybe just 2x okay 3x , like everyone it was tensed for few weeks, we are all biting our fingernails or something, in my case more like I’ve eaten a lot of chocolates which I shouldn’t have but because it was tensed eat ako 🙂 .
But today I can’t even eat my breakfast and drink my coffee because I was crying too much which worried my husband, should not really watch BCWMH before breakfast, before I tee off , before I drive off somewhere, especially when one is full of emotions. Me. But I wasn’t crying because I was upset I was crying because I was happy, maybe I have maybe I haven’t seen such beautiful delivery of line like Luke’s character had. But oh boy, IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL.
Jerome Ponce, your character Luke is so beautiful in and out, and I know after following you @ twitter & IG you’re a beautiful boy , the director could never been wrong having you as Luke, well done dami mong pinaiyak.
The whole episode as always is so well balanced with everyone’s exposure, the San Nicolas family as always kapit bisig thru thick and thin. The mansion’s kasambahay kapit bisig din. And Abby we l ove you, your such an Angel.

Ayaw kong pangunahan ang episode for tommorow, but based on what i saw in the teaser.He was just sitting down while talking to Maya inside his home office, made me wonder if he’s just all talk about missing her. Why can’t he walk the talk? A little PDA would be appreciated naman after being physically away from each other for a couple of days. Okay! demanding lang naman at sana mapag bigyan lang naman.

RECONCILIATION
As alluded to by the sociology professor interviewed by Che Che Lazaro, the Filipinos philosophy in life is reflected in the drama that they watch on television. They believe that life on earth is not too far from what Jesus experienced. There is suffering, followed by death on the cross, which culminates in the glorious resurrection. Essentially, all Filipino dramas adhere to this proven formula. Even Be Careful with My Heart does. Hence, Maya’s painful suffering will eventually lead to a joyous ending.
Reconciliation is inspired by and powered with love; without which restoration to peace would be nearly impossible. The impetus to Luke’s reconciliation with Maya is his love for his Dad and his desire to see him happy again. As I have expressed in my previous post, The Elephant, the social class issue is indeed the root cause of the present struggle that Luke and Nikki is undergoing. It essentially fuels all the hurt feelings and the flow of tears from Maya’s sympathizers; resulting into the sharp barbs directed towards these two.
Reconciliation is like a coin; it has two sides. Heads: the aggressor and tails: the victim. Luke has to accept the fact that he wronged his Ate Maya. Niccolo’s phone call relating his hurt from the demeaning treatment he received from a family who thinks that he belongs to an inferior socio-economic background serves as Luke’s wake up call to how he maltreated his Ate Maya. That phone call basically slaps reason back into his sensibilities. He is now cognizant that he hurt Maya and indirectly, his Dad and Abby, too. He realizes that he needs to seek her forgiveness.
For reconciliation to take place; two things must occur simultaneously. Initially, the aggressor must accept that he hurt someone. Acceptance requires humility. Humility then leads to asking for forgiveness from the person wronged. It means that he has to humbly come down from his high horse and repentantly kneel in front of his victim. On the other hand, the person wronged has to demonstrate understanding and grace. Real forgiveness can only come from a heart that truly loves. True love inhabits grace and true grace only emanates from the ONE TRUE SOURCE. It is only then that real forgiveness can be dispensed by the person who was hurt. We witness this event take place at the ice cream parlor; Luke asks for Maya’s forgiveness then, Maya forgives Luke. As a result, their once broken relationship is now repaired. Reconciliation done, peace restored, love prevails.
Now that Luke and Maya have reconciled, Nikki is next. Without Luke’s silent encouragement in her campaign against Maya’s entry into the family because of her much lower economic background compared to theirs, Nikki is basically alone. Presently, without her older brother’s support, she feels that her knees have been cut off, she is backed up against the wall and she finds herself completely alone. Eventually, she will realize that the heavy handedness with which she dealt with Maya because of her judgmental heart and social prejudices is wrong and should never be tolerated. With Rafi, who she holds in high esteem, supportive of Maya and her Dad, she is left with nothing else to do but succumb to do what is right. Humble herself, accept her erroneous ways, ask for Maya’s forgiveness and give her unwavering support for her Dad to freely love Maya. Until then, real peace cannot reign in the kingdom of King Richard and Princess Maya.

For me, I like the twists since the day nalaman ng mga kids about Maya being their Dad’s GF. Napakarealistic lang ng atake ng writer sa reaction ng mga kids.Abby expected na happy sya for Dad and Maya.
Kay Luke medyo na gulat ako bakit sya nagreact ng ganun, but then after nung talk nila ni SC airing his side naisip ko tama nga naman ang writer sa totoo naman pwede syang upset sa situation but not with Maya as the GF and now after realizing certain things medyo lumalambot na sIya ,anyway observation ko lang naman Abby maybe the sweetest among the three but Luke has the kindest heart.
Well, si Nikki, normal reaction ng isang teen-age daughter. Some of us for sure nairita sa kanya but facts of life ang pinipresent ng writer. Any daughter who adores his father so much, will not willingly accept any girl to enter his or their life. Feeling nya it’s either threat si Maya sa attention ng Dad nya or either iniisip nya she’s not good enough for the dad,kaya tama yung sabi ni Manang Fe kahit sinong babae ang ipakilala ni Ser Chief kay Nikki di nya matatanggap.Kung yung real mom and daughter relationship nga laging may clashes how much more ang stepmom and stepdaughter..eventhough she’s the kindest stepmom pa, sa umpisa talaga may conflict na sa relationship and knowing Nikki na umiikot buhay nya kay Daddy nya at Kuya nya talagang magrereact sya ng ganyan. Kaya dapat may distraction si Nikki. Ito naman kasi si Nicolo ang DENSE!!!!!
Kay Maya naman tama lang din yung ginawa na wag muna magpakita,for the kids to realize yung worth nya sa Lim family. Mahirap din yung nakipagsabayan sya kasi she will never win.
Kudos sa writer.That’s why I love this show so much.Totoo nangyayari lang sa everyday life di kagaya ng ibang teleserye na kapag mayaman, sindikato agad ang pinagmulan ng yaman. Pag ikot ng story meron kidnapan, patayan, higantihan, which is very rare namang nangyayari sa pangkaraniwang buhay ng tao.
In this forum, I am well aware that the jury is still out on what Nikki’s real motivation is for maltreating Maya and her firm stance against her Dad and Maya’s love affair. For some, they still find it difficult to accept that it is the social class issue that is at the heart of it. I actually revisited the earlier episodes of this drama to see the evidence. I re-watched the episodes where Nikki blatantly treats Maya as an inferior servant and forcibly holds her down to that level. On her first night at the Lim household, Nikki embarrasses Maya by reminding her “Servants don’t eat with us!” when Maya wrongly assumed that everyone in the household eats together by setting the dining table to include the help. On another occasion, at the amusement park, Maya mistakenly made the assumption that she is included in the excursion. Nikki clearly reminds Maya of her lowly position when she deals her a cruel blow. Nikki essentially rubbed in Maya’s face her inferiority when she stopped her in her tracts before she entered the park, gave her money and told her to wait outside the amusement park while the family goes to have fun, inside. Nikki’s point: she does not socialize with Maya’s kind. In entertaining her school friends at home, she refused to partake of the lowly fried banana that Maya offers. To her chagrin, her friends enjoyed the dish in favor of the pizza she ordered for them. At the same table, she refused Maya’s offering of tuyo with champorado. Again to her irritation, Luke and Abby partook and even seem to like it. Many more instances are presented displaying Nikki’s “mata pobre” mentality. It is all there all along, I just had to revisit those episodes.
Nikki slowly changed her treatment of Maya when she realized that the latter is effectively doing positive changes in the household. Through Maya, Abby is healed from her selective mutism, Luke’s relationship with their Dad is restored, her Dad has become more approachable and there is now some semblance of love and harmony dwelling in the house. However, Nikki’s perspective of Maya has not totally changed. Although she is appreciative of Maya’s positive contribution to her family’s well-being, and she tolerates her because of it, in her heart, Maya still belongs to the inferior group of society. Thus she deems her unworthy of becoming her Dad’s girlfriend

If I read it right, Nikki’s expression sa teaser didn’t seem as resentful as in previous scenes. baka she is slowly realising Maya’s contribution to the whole family.

Faith is a sacred, deep, emotionally involved kind of trust. Faith is the kind of trust that you enter into with your whole being. After Alex death, SC died inside, and retreated to a place that no one get to, including his children. When Maya came into his life, she slowly brought the dark clouds out of his life and let the sunshine in. He opened his heart to her, like no one has ever done because he knew deep inside that the love that Maya has for him knows no bound. When Luke and Nikki could not accept Maya, he was deeply saddened and disappointed because he had Faith in the kids that their reaction would not hinder their relationship to this extent. And for Luke and Nikki they gave in to blind faith for their dad because they would not examine and understand where their Dad and Ate Maya was coming from. They basically relied on what they were feeling, neglecting the mind and the spirit. Luke, has now come to realize after Nicolo has shared his experience, that what he has shown Maya was immature. Tears of joy came pouring out, when Luke was talking to Maya and pouring his heart out. Luke, you are your father’s son!!! SC and Maya we’re all happy that you both kept the faith.

Hope is the state which promotes the belief in a good outcome related to evens and circumstances in one’s life (Wiki). Hope believes that God is not done. Hope is the feeling we have that the feeling we have is not the feeling that we will have. Without Hope, we are quick to give up. We close up shop, draw the blinds and lock the doors to opportunities and blessings. Sometimes I think of Hope is like crossing your fingers behind your back, but walking forward and fighting for what you want in life. Maya did that all the way. Hope is one of Maya’s greatest attributes. Kaya nga..”Wag nega, maba block ang blessing.” Hope for a better future for herself and her family propelled Maya from being a tourist guide in San Nicolas, janitress at the airport, yaya to Abby, and now an FA, and soon to be Mrs. Lim!!!! Haaaaayyyy, so happy naman ako, and I am sure thousands of their fans. ‘Sana” that is always spoken by the Dela Rosa family is Hope in action. Kung may problema sila, Kapit Bisig sila to solve the problem. Always hopeful!!!
But the Greatest of these is LOVE…
The theme of the whole teleserye is LOVE…love…love…From the oldest, Manang Fe to the youngest Abby, love is what is keeping all of them together. Even asungot Nikki, has love in her heart, even though right now it is conditional for Maya. SC’s Love for Maya is unconditional. Although Love involves compromises, he never asked Maya to be someone she is not. Someone who is in love with you will never ask you to change who you are in order to be loved. Their attraction and chemistry was not instantaneous, but a gradual coming together once they realized that they made each other happy. Romantic love is a kind and passionate commitment that we nurture and develop, even though it usually arrives in our lives unbidden. Who would have thought that someone like SC would fall in love with a simple probinsiyana, that is makulit and madaldal? Tama siguro yung sabi nila na Love is blind…Kahit makulit and madaldal, SC saw her heart and that’s what he loved about her. “I would never haved loved her, if she did not love you too.” Their love for each other also gave them strength, which they are drawing upon now. They are never weak at the same time, when SC is weak Maya is strong to pick him up and vice versa. That is what Love is complimentary!!!

Each and everyone of us has an angel who will guide us to the right path and make the right decisions. In today’s episode, Luke’s angel is his best friend Nicolo. He help Luke to see the consequences of his actions and reactions towards Maya and how much pain he had inflicted not only to her but to his Dad as well.
The words that Luke uttered is so precious to listen and it was very well delivered. But what really gets me to reach for my box of tissue is how Jodi delivered her acting and showed a myriad of emotions. Her character did not utter a single word when Luke was talking but all the stages of emotion was there. She was hesitant at first and little bit scared; sadness then ecstacy. Congrats Jodi for an excellent job.
Of course hindi rin nagpahuli si Abby, I so want to virtually hug her when she thanked and hug his Kuya Luke for accepting her Ate Maya as girlfriend ng Daddy niya. Ang sweet mo talaga baby, well done!
Here we are mga Kapamilya, we are now in Joyful Mystery of Love. Hopefully the Glorious Mystery is just around the corner. Kaya lang sabi ni Manang Fe the other day ” Isa lang ito sa pagdada-anan ninyo ni Ricardo. Huwag kang bibitiw.” It got me thinking that the writers are hatching another twist in this teleserye. So hang-on mga kapamilya, walang bitawan kapit-bisig!
Richard and Luke drive home from taking Abby to her first day of school. Richard was antsy. He keeps checking his cell phone as if he wants to make sure he hasn’t missed a call or text from Maya. Luke notices this and so he tells him that he thought he saw Maya at the school. (Richard’s part of the windshield is dry and Luke’s part of the windshield is wet with rain. Ha ha they must have taped the scene at two different times…) Luke and Richard gets home and finds Sabel waiting outside the front door for Maya. Richard was surprised to find out that Maya is coming. Sabel said that she would accompany her to the enrollment at school. However, Maya said that she just needs to do something important first. Luke was just quiet as usual.
Back at school, Nikki checks up on Abby. She goes to her classroom and Abby tells her she is having an early recess because her teacher is at a meeting. Before they left to go to the cafeteria, Abby picks up the airplane she placed at the window. Nikki asked her why she needed a paper plane at the window? Abby told Nikki that is what Ate Maya did last year on her first day at the playschool. Nikki seems to remember the paper planes last year. (Buti naman at umayos ayos lang nguso mo.)
First Meeting
Meanwhile, at the mansion, Maya arrives and apologizes to Sabel for being late. Sabel brings Maya through the back door so they could talk. (I haven’t seen this servant’s entrance of the mansion before. It is interesting that Sabel brings Maya inside the mansion through this back door when she is Richard’s girlfriend. Seems ironic.) Sabel asked her if she wasn’t going to stop to see Richard? He is just in his Study, she said. Richard is seen still checking his phone still wondering why Maya hasn’t sent him a message yet this morning. So Maya went to see Richard. Upon seeing her, Richard let out his sheepish one-sided quarter smile (ang tipid) obviously glad to see her. (Pero in fairness nagging maaliwalas ang mukha ni Richard pag kita kay Maya.) Richard asked if she saw Abby at school? Maya smiled and nodded yes. Unbeknownst to them, Luke was passing by and stopped to eavesdrop at their conversation. Maya continues to tell Richard she saw Abby on her way to her classroom. (I know this is out of context but that is how the conversation went. Another oversight by editors?) Richard asked her why she didn’t go in to see Abby? Maya said she didn’t want to bother her because her class had started. She also remembered Abby texting last night that her teachers are strict according to Luke and Nikki so Maya was cautious and didn’t want to get her in trouble. But Maya said that she saw the paper airplane on the window. Richard was pleasantly surprised and asked if Abby made the paper plane? Maya said yes…it’s just like last year during her first day at the playschool. This pleases Richard for he knows his baby is just fine. So he suggested to Maya to go with Doris and Luke to pick up Abby. He is sure Abby would be happy to see her. Maya is hesitant to say yes to Richard’s request and said “we’ll see”. Then Maya asked to be excused because she has to go with Sabel to her enrollment. By this time, Luke scurries out of view. Richard says ok and to take care. Maya turned around to leave and then suddenly came back. She said she forgot something. She looked at Richard with a smile on her face and said “I love you.” “I love you too.” Richard replies. (*sigh…ang suweeettt! Kinilig ako yeay!!!!! But seriously, Maya and Richard, once more showed selflessness. When they first see each other, they could have embraced and showed affection first but instead, they both talk about Abby first. Then in the end, only for a split second, they remember their ILY’s. They put themselves last.)

Why I can’t get over with this scene?
OMG! pls pass 2 boxes of kleenex! definitely, 5 stars (times 2) for this episode. akong-ako si maya. may-i-pakawala na talaga ng halos lahat ng kinimkim kong sad “emo” in the past several days. may-i-cry talaga at may kasama pang hikbi! ang sarap kaya ng feeling afterwards. i thought i was half my weight lighter (wish ko lang! pero OA naman yung half…siguro 1/3 of my weight) cuz a large burden was taken out from my system.

kung ako talaga si maya, uunawain ko na lang si (chiqui) niknik. iisipin ko na meron xa nung tinatawag na middle-child syndrome MCS). ito yun kalimitang nangyayari sa isang pamilya na may 3 anak na hindi nagkakalayo ang mga edad, kapareho ng mayroon sa lim family. may paniniwala na ang magulang mahal na mahal ang panganay dahil siya nga ang first born, ang bunso naman ay nakukuha ang maraming attention dahil siya ang pinakahuling inanak, samantalang ang gitnang anak ay walang tunay na special place. ilan sa katangian ng anak na may MCS ay mayroon si nikki: low self-esteem, jealousy and misbehaving to get attention. may tawag tayo jan…sa ating mga pinoy, si nikki ay isang KSP…kulang sa pansin.
ano pa nga ba’t nikki will come around and realize ang kanyang maling nararamdaman. hopefully she will realize that altho she is the center child in the lim family, she has no right to be self-centered. the teaser showed that she is talking to raffi…and i believe it is raffi who would tell her that she has been off her rocker for the longest time now and that she gets a much needed reality check.
si maya naman should go revisit nanayT’s words of wisdom. kapag may tiyaga, may nilaga. wala akong maisip na kasing katumbas nito sa ingles. sa musically-inclined na pag-iisip ko, ang pinakamalapit eh ang kantang “you can’t hurry love, you just have to wait”. so in the meantime that we are waiting for niknik to come around, may i suggest let’s put back our dancing shoes. let’s party as a toast to luke! yahoo!

I definitely agree with you. Matagal ko na ring naiisip ito. Karamihan ng artista na mga naiinterview as much as possible ayaw nilang may nagbabantay sa set.
That’s true, most of the actors and actresses don’t want their significant others when they were shooting because they said it effects their ability to perform their job specially when they are doing love stories or love scenes. Most actors and actresses when you asked them if they watch their wife or husband love scenes their response they don’t watch.

As fo Nikki, I am a stong believer in second chances. I really feel she is just a bit misguided right ow. I just wish she should’ve told her real reasons to her dad so SC can talk some sense to her and reprimand her for her shallow discrimination issues. i still think she has a kind heart and can change coz di ba….nagbago din naman ang tingin niya ay Maya before di ba? The mother in me really wants to just give her a tight hug right now. Ser Chief and Nikki really both have to talk ng masinsinan. Miscommunication lang yan!
And as for my waaaaaah moment: It is the parking lot scene at 19:10 when Ser Chief hugged Maya 6 times while saying I miss You! Waaaah, pogi talaga ni Richard ko….so kissable yung mala heart shaped na lips ni SC. And he really is pogi sa lahat ng angles. I just noticed today that his dimple on the left side of his face is not as deep as the right one. Tapos may dimple din siya under the left lip. Pogi niya talaga sa scene na yun!
Moving on now to the cliffhanger. Mala suspense na di hamak ha. I wish Nikki’s fine though. Kung naglayas man siya, sana marami siyang baon na pera at pagkain…… Ang tagal pa naman ng Mon. I hope hindi alaha siya pinakidnap ni Jnee kay Mio. Hmmmm…. Nasaan na nga pala si Jnee Gurlee? Mukhang MIA din siya today ah? I hope mali ang kutob ko! 🙂

Ay Doris grabe ka naman mabait naman talaga si Luke. Ang chakeet naman nung sinabi mo na ano kayang pinaplano niyang kamaldituhan , e sa nakapag -isip na yong bata.
Pinakidnap kaagad ni Joma kay Doris si Abby para di makita ni Nikki si Maya heheh. Bakit po tayo nagmamadali ate Doris?
Awwwwww ganun ang hug ng pagkamiss, dapat nakita yun ni SC heheh. Sinabi ni Maya na andun sya kanina at nakita nya yung paper plane nito.

Disclaimer: What I present to you is total speculation. Since this forum welcomes any and all comments regarding this show, as long as it is not deemed offensive by its participating subscribers, I am going to attempt an offering that might be tantamount to being considered preposterous. Be that as it may, I still will bring it to the table.
Clouds in the horizon can be a welcome sight or an ominous sign. In the context of our story line, I would like to submit that the approaching cloud portends the bigger twist that the creative writers have been hatching all along. I believe that this cloud is going to bring a torrential downpour in the lives of the main characters of our story.
Dona Esmeralda is Richard’s mother, thereby making her Nikki’s grandmother. Her name is first mentioned in the episode when Joma transported Maya from her temporary boarding house to the Lim mansion. Casually, driver and passenger talk about the members of the household. Joma talks about the children and Maya curiously asks who each take after. He shares that Luke takes after his Dad’s personality, Abby takes after her Mom and Nikki? There is actually a pause here for emphasis. He says, in his opinion, Nikki takes after her Grandmother. When Joma says this, he seems to do it derisively. To me, it is a hint that there is something there….. I just didn’t quite know what.
Another occasion Dona Esmeralda was brought up, or her shadow anyway, is in the episode where Doris and Sabel are talking about Sir Chief parting ways with his family. Apparently, his family disagreed with his choice of his bride. The help essentially implies that Richard chose his bride over his family. The question that looms largely over my head now is: What was Alex’s background, character or affiliation that Richard’s parents could not accept which ultimately caused the rift between son and parents? I believe that once Nikki finds out about her mother and who she really was, it will change her way of thinking about Maya. I think that what Nikki will learn about Alex will be the key to her acceptance of Maya. Then it will be easier for her to approve of Maya as her Dad’s girlfriend.
Abby’s birthday brings a surprise visit from her grandparents. It indeed is a joyful reunion for the entire family. It is an opportunity for the viewers to witness the dynamics between the family members. Through Maya’s curious eyes, we are afforded a rare chance to get a glimpse of Dona Esmeralda and Don Roberto. We see them in a rare display of emotion as they interact with their grandchildren, their son and the household help. It is apparent to all that Dona Esmeralda wears the pants between the two. She definitely is the more dominant one and carries herself as if she is the queen bee. On the other hand, Don Roberto seems to be happy to live in the shadow of his wife. He essentially smiles a lot and is content to just sit quietly and take in what is going on around him. As an observer, I quickly arrived at the conclusion that Ricky, as Dona Esmeralda likes to call him, takes after his Dad’s personality. Whereas his Mom naturally calls attention to herself, his Dad does not. In all likelihood, it is probably his Mom who did not approve his marriage to Alex.
Dona Esmeralda’s character is on display at this event. Her size is as big as her personality. When she enters the room, she instantaneously fills the space with her presence. She obviously loves the grandchildren and the feeling is mutual. Impressively, she remembers the names of the servants, albeit with a little help distinguishing between Sabel and Doris. However, even with how she related to Manang Fe, she seems to maintain a respectful distance from them. She seems to keep an elevated position in their presence.
Thus, it begs the question: Did she disapprove of Alex for her Richard to marry? Did Nikki pick up from her grandmother how to treat hired help? Is she going to be the twist that the Creative Team has been alluding to? Will she present herself as the bigger challenge for Sir Chief and Maya to tackle? I am sure that these and more will be answered in the much anticipated upcoming episodes of Be Careful with My Heart.

Ate Maya, sorry ha. Alam ko naging immature ako pero narealize ko na mali ako. Nung nagkukwento si Daddy about his gf nakita ko kung gaano sya kasaya….waaaaaaaaaaa di ko na kaya ang iba.
It is very hard for Nikki to truly accept Maya being her dad’s girlfriend. She is against with their relationship, but what can she do? Her dad and Maya loves each other. I do not believe in the caste system myself because it is such a ridiculous system. How can she possibly judge a person based on his or her caste? Why can’t Nikki be more open-minded and treat everyone equally? Other people do not practice this discrimination. It’s time for younger generations to change this perception because educated people do not normally practice stigmatization. Maya was not really planning to be a nanny for Abby in the first place. All she dreamed of is to become a flight stewardees. She was just forced to be Abby’s nanny as part of the deal between her dad and Maya so she could proceed her dreams of becoming a flight stewardees. Being a nanny was never in her wildest dream, but instead to become the best flight stewardees in the whole world. But because of the twist of fate, Maya easily became as the best Yaya in town as well. She have helped a dysfunctional family to become normal and be happy again. She have made so much sacrifices for them and did ordinary things in an extraordinary way. She helped Abby a lot and eventually helped her to talk again. That was the greatest accomplishments that she did for the Lims Family who once fell apart after the death of Alex. She even helped Richard to be back in life again until she fall in love with this family especially to Abby, and even now, to Richard. Love just happens. Their love developed when Maya was living in the mansion. It was not only love, but Maya changed the Lims Family recovered and eventually became a one happy family again. That’s the beauty of loving Maya and Richard falls for her because of her undying and conditional love for the Lims Family. But Nikki didn’t seem to see that or lack of knowing about how Maya strived hard and helped the entire family and her contributions to them. But later, sure, Nikki will see this and will finally accept Maya in full.
Ate Maya, wala na akong maisip na iba na magmamahal sa kanya ng sobra..ikaw lang!!!!

Pero parang downer ang kay Nikki. She needed to have affirmation from someone of their own stature na okay si Maya. Parang she placed more importance on what people would say rather than on what’s important to their family. Sana mali ang assumption ko at maredeem naman ang character niya from being a bratty, materialistic girl to somebody who is sensitive and loving.

Una feeling ko dahil ex-yaya nila si Maya kaya ayaw niya, but para rin isang reason is yung fear niya na maagawan siya ni Maya ng affection from everyone.
Remember from the first few episodes, she tried so hard to get her daddy’s love, pinagluto, inaasikaso etc.
I think the latter is more convincing reason, I mean Nikki grew on me the way the writers changed her attitude. But now, I just hate her with a passion.

The Maya-Luke-Abby mall scene is THE scene of the day. It was a very touching moment. Luke really has kindness in him just like his mom. Nikki on the other hand, is just like her dad, she’s hiding her weakness via a facade of stubbornness and being difficult.
Abby’s moments are just too precious whom ever she has a scene with you will feel that she’s a very fragile kid. There’s always that need to protect her from any hurt. She’s a darling!
Ser Chief on the other hand. Well, after watching him do these things:
1. Just sit there at his office without bothering to stand up to acknowledge Maya’s presence. ( back pains Ser Chief?
2. The lack of sweetness in his voice when he talked to his GF whom he hasn’t seen for some time (He actually sounded like her boss all over again in that scene. )
On tomorrow’s preview, the delayed hug he gave Maya who’s already crying buckets of tears.
I therefore conclude that Ser Chief is THE NON-TOUCHY FEELY TYPE OF BOYFRIEND. He’s more into words not actions. (This could actually be how the writers have projected his character given that he’s a businessman)
So, after realizing this characteristic of Ser Chief, I will learn not to expect any sweet actions from him anymore. I guess I have to really be content with the very few embraces here and there, the even fewer casual beso-beso and the you-can-count-with-your-fingers holding hands.
What can we do? That’s Ser Chief’s personality. He’s an uptight lover. The lower the expectations the less disappointment as they say.
Oh and before I forget….Nicolo Angelo Cortez —-you’re the man!

Kapag si Luke ba ang umakyat ng ligaw kay Ayra titingnan din kaya siya ng parents ni ayra mula talampakan hanggang bumbumnan?
Ah, as RY explicitly said repressed siya when it comes to showing emotions since he is Chinese. Eh dito he portrays a Chinese businessman pa rin at CEO pa so I guess, SC is acting as how RY is in real life. Idaan niya na lang sa facial expressions and words niya! Pero am hoping for a scene where they are holding hands under the table or a hug from the back kasi mas affectionate tingnan. Oh and puede ibalik ang garden moment nila holding hands while sitting and gazing at the stars.
Gaano ba kayaman ang pamilya nitong Aira na to?? Anong last name niya ba niya at ng magoogle Sy ?? Tan ?? Pagkatapos ng sweldo ni Maya, kayamanan naman nila Ayra ang pagdidiskitaan.
Gaano kayaman ang mga Lim at Cortez?Mas mayaman pa ba sila Ayra sa dalawa?

As for Nikki’s attitude, medyo off nga. Nabale wala lahat ng nangyari or na invest ni Maya in the past, like Florante at Laura play, Baguio zip, prom, girl talk nila, etc.
Whatever happened to the emotional bank account ni Nikki kay Maya? Zero balance na agad?
I hope the writers would make a realistic turn around for her, at hindi yong biglang nagbago agad (pinalayo na kase ng husto eh) unless tragedy drastically turns it around eh kaso BCWMH to.
Looks like aabutin pa tong story line til next, next, next week.

This. I was shaking my head all throughout that scene. Even the exchange of “I love you’s” came off as being forced out. It’s like Yaya Maya saying ” I love You” to her boss.
I know that the intent of that scene was to bring kilig. But I think it would’ve been more effective if they just whispered it to each other the way Ser Chief used to say “thank you” to Maya when she was still the yaya.

Exactly! mahihirapan ang mga writers na i-redeem ang image ni Nikki sa akin. Masyado nilang ginawang complicated ang character nya.. which they shouldn’t have done in the first place. Okay na dapat eh, bumait naman sya kay Maya, in fact, naging parang inspiration pa nya at one time, tapos biglang bumanat siya ng linyang “she cant understand why her Dad loves Maya..” nubayun??
Hindi ata ako maiiyak kapag si Maya at Nikki na ang nagusap.. di katulad nung kay Luke..
If she’s being a snob, I think the only way she could change is by getting a dose of her own medicine. But, if her reason is because of her mom, siguro naman madala siya sa konting paliwanag lang. Parang naging confusing na kasi ang character niya, it’s either she’s a sensitive and loving daughter/sister or else she’s just a selfish, snob. Baka sa convo niya with Raffi tomorrow, we’ll know for sure. Hay, don’t tell me this problem will drag on for another week!
