Ayan, eating time,,, nagsimula na mag-SOCO si Maya, silip-silip din sa mga food pag may time. This is really hilarious…ayan tuloy akala ni SC ayaw ni Maya ng food kasi naman… chewing slowly ang prinsesa baka nga naman manguya and malunok nya ang singsing…nasamid si Maya… sa tanong ni SC na WILL YOU…hoping much si Maya… will you tell me about Mamang…hay naku, Maya ghel, nakakaloka ka, magkakadurog-durog na ang food sa pag-SOCO.
Kaloka ka Maya….lahat talaga kinalukay kahahanap ng singsing hahaha!

At the airport, Maya walks to meet Richard for their dinner date. When she sees him from afar waiting outside the airport door, she stopped for a moment to look at him perhaps thinking if this is indeed the man she wants to marry…. or probably thinking how much she loves him…or better yet is she ready to go through a lifetime with him? This man after all stole her heart from the start and taught her how to love. Richard sees her and suddenly the look on his face changes. A glitter on his eyes, his stance loosened and that megawatt smile, although somewhat reserved still looked like it lit up the entire room. What a pretty sight he sees as Maya approaches him. Richard gives her a peck on her cheek but up close he sees her eyes looking glassy. He asked her what’s wrong? She looked like she’s been crying? (No Richard, Maya has been crazy thinking of you and your proposal and practicing in her mind how her name is going to sound should she accept your proposal. This equates to NO SLEEP meaning she is TORETE! (out of mind) ) Maya tells him nothing is the matter. She just had a lot of things on her mind.

In the car, on the way to the restaurant, Richard talks to Luke about going to Nicolo’s who is apparently alone and sick with chicken pops (I know I know, it’s how my kids call it.) After hanging up the phone he tells Maya that he finally closed the deal with the Singapora (sp?) Line Express and he consider it another milestone for Lim Aviation Services. He tells Maya he will give a gratuity bonus for the employees who have worked hard and he will promote Liza. (About time Richard. You have worked that woman to death. I hope she is back at having a love life.) Maya didn’t respond to all of what Richard said which is odd. It must be because she is still mulling over the possibility of the proposal at this dinner date.

They arrive at the restaurant and began to walk from the parking lot casually holding each other’s hand when a car suddenly startles them both with a screetch and a loud honk. It made Maya jump into Richard’s arms as he holds her tighter. (ummm this is one of the moments in this episode when I wish I was Maya ha ha) He asked if she is ok? Maya said she is fine. The incident just scared her a little. They proceed to the restaurant. (Actually, Maya almost got run over by this car and Richard did not go on tiger mode? Ummm that is very unlike Mr. Lim)

At Ginzadon, they find their table. The waiter tells them that their food will be along in just a few minutes. Maya asked if he already ordered the food? Richard said yes. He did it when he called in his reservation. Maya’s head voice is talking to her “He already ordered food ahead of time. I wonder if…” Maya? Richard called for her. She poisedly excused herself from Richard to go to the comfort room. There, Maya’s phone dit di dit dit numerous times. First it was Ehman: Roomie any news? Did he, did he? Next it was Ehman’s cell phone but the message is from Mamang: Granddaughter, this is your Grandmother. You have to be careful eating because the ring might be in your food. The next dit di dit dit is from Kute: Youngest sister, pretend that you didn’t know anything. You must stay calm. Did he propose yet? The phone dit di dit dit again and it’s Nanay T: Child, don’t scream too loud ok? It’s embarrassing. Wait…did he propose yet? The last dit di dit dit is from Ehman again (he is so persistent): What happened? You never answered me back. Oh my pink toes. (Bwaaahahahaha) Poor Maya, she is inundated with all these text messages wanting to know about the proposal. She took a deep breath, looked in the mirror and did her self-talk. “Maya you have to calm down. You are not sure yet. Maybe this is really just a date.” Sigh! She walks out of the restroom not looking any better actually but determined to go through this evening with Richard.

Wow naman, super friends na talaga si mamang at DE, nag-aayusan ng buhok.

Full force sina mamang, NT, Manang Fe, DE, at Emman sa pag-monitor…aligaga lahat sa pagtawag ni Maya… may proposal sa kabilang table, muntik na napabigay kay Maya yung dessert na may singsing… HOPIA!!!

HE’S THE ONE

After the big revelation of SC’s planned proposal divulged by Emman, Mamang and Nanay T, Maya probably been contemplating on two important questions floating in her mind – (1) Is he really the “ONE”? and (2) Is she ready? It’s one of the biggest milestones she’ll have to consider in her life, so just how would she know if she has chosen the right “one” and if she’s ready for marriage? There are hundred ways to know if one has found Mr. Right and here are some that had been compiled from somewhere that may very well prove the Mahal na Princesa indeed found her Mahal na Hari… her Mr. Right:

1. Her friends approve- SC had been welcomed and accepted with open arms by Maya’s friends and colleagues long before they have been an item. They felt his sincerity, his love and his devotion for her… for what friends will not soften and approve with a person like SC – respectable, loyal and most of all loving. He has long earned her friends’ stamp of approval long before they have been in the relationship.

2. He gets along with family- Introducing someone into the family can be awkward, tense and nerve-wracking – he may have started on the wrong foot when they found out the reason for her coming home and her sudden decision to resign from his employ but he turned everything around and captured their hearts and since then he had been very honest, forthcoming and had shown them his sincerity, his loyalty and his commitment to Maya, to her family and her dreams. Everybody knew and acknowledged he’s a keeper and he will always be true to her.

3. He listens to her- As communication is the foundation to any good relationship, it is crucial that Mr. Right is someone she can talk to freely and openly and someone who would also listen intently to what she has to say. Even before, he listened and would consult her in the affairs of his kids, what would be good for Abby, what worked for Nikki and how to communicate with Luke. He valued her thoughts, her suggestions during the preparation for Abby’s birthday as he appreciated her taste in selecting Nikki’s prom gown to name a few.

4. He shares the same values- No matter where both are coming from, it would matter really if both can agree on what matters most in life. Knowing that SC shares her ideals will make for a smooth ride and knowing that both share the same value for family, respecting and loving the people they call family is sure ingredient for a happy union. For both are family-oriented, both love their families and both will do anything and everything for family’s sake.

5. He’s the type of person you would be friends with – SC and Maya after their employer-employee affiliation became friends and each other’s confidante even before they had their relationship. With that, she can be assured that when times get rough she not only will she have her partner in life but her friend in SC as well.

6. You trust him and you feel secure- Without trust, any relationship is doomed to fail. She trusted him in a lot of the aspects of her life when she needed to confide with him about her problems. She trusted him that he would take care of her and their relationship knowing fully well that this is her first serious relationship. In the same way that she felt secure around him for she knew and he had proven time and again that he’ll treat her right, he’ll defend her to anyone and everyone including his own family and he will shield her from any pain, hurt if need be.

7. He makes you feel special – In any relationship, the beginning will always be sweet, special but as days turn to months and months turn to years, feelings tend to dwindle as the relationship progress. But her Mahal na Hari always made her feel special and he still is able to give her butterflies to her stomach as their relationship becomes deeper and more rooted for nothing is predictable to her SC.

8. He talks about the future – In searching for Mr. Right, one need to remember that he is also looking for Mrs. Right. After the sleepover with Nikki, and as SC brought her back to the condo, he expressed his thoughts of seeing her back in the mansion with him and the kids and voiced out how he missed her back home, their night cap time, enjoying coffee and their small talks as he missed their storytelling with Abby.

9. He admits his faults, his mistakes, and apologizes. It’s been said, “a good marriage is the union of two forgivers.” For in any relationship hurting one another over and over again will always be part of the equation. If one doesn’t know how to ask for forgiveness and give forgiveness, the relationship, let alone marriage will never last. As both recently undergone that biggest fight they ever had, while it took some time, in the end, they set aside their differences and let love and communication prevailed so they could both forgive and forget and moved on and moved forward to nurturing their love and relationship.

10. He loves you for you-. As SC pointed out to Nanay T, he loved her gradually for he had that rare chance to get to know her first… what she was… who she was… and now what she is and who she is for then and now, she remains the same, pure at heart. For that he is not afraid of being real, authentic, and committed to his Mahal na Princesa, and more importantly he now shows it to the world… he’s proud of his love, and he shows it and is not afraid for he loves truly… he loves her deeply and loving her gives him that immense happiness in his heart.

Ultimately, SC is her inspiration. He is the source of her strength… her rock… her anchor… her shield… her Knight in Shining Armor… her first love and most likely her last. Yes, He is definitely the ONE… the ONLY ONE.

And knowing all that, we are quite certain that the answer to the second question will be million YES, YES, YES… For even without her Mahal na Hari’s popping the question, she did say YES YES YES!!!

But….you have to remember though, he is all of that you mentioned because of Mayabell. She was the one who turned SC to a better person and make him realized that his family needed him and family is important. She kept the Lim’s family intact they were falling apart.

Baka yung dinner is proposal, pamanhikan at despedida de soltera rolled into one na!!!Pero ang corny ha, sa bahay lang ang proposal…kung sabagay, in character kay SC…first valentine’s date sa mansion…wag naman pati yung honeymoon nasa bahay lang.

Yesterday’s and today’s episode were both hilariously funny. Today’s episode had some touching moments as well and some scenes had me in tears. The conversation between Maya and NT where Maya asked for permission to get married made me cry. Maya is probably torn between her responsibility to her family and her desire to be with the man of her dreams. I commend NT for being so unselfish and by letting go of Maya. Naiyak ako ng sobra dito sa scene na to. I never had this conversation with my Mom coz she died 3 years before I got married.

And since we are on the subject of proposals and reminiscing, indulge me and allow me to tell you how my proposal went.
Sorry, Hot Wasabi. Had to borrow your line…wala akong maisip eh.

Disclosure: Too much information…
Now here comes the reason why I was in tears. I never got any proposal!
Kaya pinikot ko na lang my husband now, my boyfriend then. (Sorry again, HW. wala talagang originality ano? )
I was the one that KINDA proposed. ha ha ha… He kept saying he wants to be with me and grow old with me and that he did not have money to give me a grand wedding so he never popped the question. We were apart for 3 years so when I went back to the Philippines, ayun, ready na ang family ko and the judge, all he had to do was to show up. And this was back in the late 80’s. I had the upper hand then kasi OFW ako while he was unemployed. coz he is a maprisipyong tao, he did not want anybody to think that he was just gonna use me to get here to the US. And he never did. He worked his way to get his own working visa instead of tagging along with me even though married na kami. Now 24 years later, kami pa rin.
Kaya ako cry ng cry coz jelling jelly ako kay Maya and Hot Wasabi. I didn’t experience that “element of excitement and surprise”.

Now, whoever says they don’t like this show or that this teleserye is boring, kesyo not realistic or “is not moved” at all must have come from a different planet, or baka may pusong bato or probably did not have a good childhood kaya panay ang pintas. This show has given me so many positive vibes that my children actually think I am crazy coz I smile all the time or I laugh by myself when I remember funny scenes. Nothing beats optimism. Positive thinking really helps me do everything better than negative thinking ever will. Maybe it is just me…baka OA lang ako kagaya ni Maya. But hey, life is too short. We always have a choice to do or watch whatever makes us happy. If this show does not excite you anymore, move on. Just saying. ha ha ha

Ngayon nga na alam na ni SC na alam na ni Maya ang tungkol sa soon-to-be proposal nya, ma-connect kaya nya yung pag-YES ni Maya sa kanya???

Yung sa ratings, baka di naman siguro super taas pag back to normal ang pasok ng mga tao pero it’s good to know that given the chance to watch the show on time, many people would. A safe insider info from me- Dinudumog pa rin sila ng endorsements, sitummercials in particular. Balita ko may mga companies raw na nag-uunahan. It’s implication? The standing of the show is still very good and it’s not true that it would stop airing that soon.

Grabe naman ‘tong proposal ni SC eh… talagang kaabang-abang, habang tumatagal lalo nakaka-excite. Consistent talaga ang BCWMH sa mga surprises.

The epi today is not bad than I expected….in fairness natuwa ako sa kakulitang pinakita ni Maya sa resto scene mula ng umupo siya umpisa sa pagpag ng table napkin, sa pagmasid sa mga sushi hanggang sa guluhin niya ang mga lalagyanan ng toothpick, salt n pepper, baso ng sake (siguro si Richard Yap pigil na pigil siyang tumawa sa eksenang ito) pati ang kaawang-awang cake nadamay :)) Well at least we can’t blame Maya kung bakit ganyan ang reaction niya eh ang dami kasing nangungulit sa kanya sa mga text message at mind you ang mga cell phone nila sa condo nakahilera sa dining table una-unahan na lang kung kanino magri-ring :)) (kakatuwa mga certified tsismosa lang tulad natin). Ms. Winnie, thank you sa maagang post ng summary mo pramis talagang inuna kong basahin ang summary mo since gumising ako kaninang hapon because I came home this morning due to my overnight shift last night kaya pagka-gising ko binasa ko na agad-agad ang summary mo at ang mga post ng ibang ka-adiks natin bago ko pinanood sa TV ang epi today at tawa much kami ng mommy at kuya ko 🙂

Come to think of it, SC being Richard Yap’s alter-persona…what better way to present a proposal than to sing his heart out!!! But I would really love it if the kids had a part in this proposal too, considering that Maya would not only be marrying SC but his kids too. Ala “The Sound of Music” siguro ang dating!!!

Sis, malamang nga laughtrip yang first night na yan. Mega aligaga si Maya to the highest level! Baka parang yung isang story sa EB yung mangyayari… Laughtrip pero sweet ending.

Primetime para pwede SPG?

Not sure lang if ABS would make this move. Ang alam ko kasi, they would like to strengthen their daytime block kaya kahit na malakas ang clamor noon for the show to be moved to primetime or weekends, di nila ginawa. I guess they have to revisit their entire network programming plan para malaman ang tamang move.

When they started, housewives ang target audience nila. I think it was just accidental that they were able to have solid fanbase across all markets. Ngayon, ang alam ko, mas may conscious effort na sila to expand their market. (which explains moves such as emphasizing on the teens) Winner na winner na kasi sila sa original market na tinarget nila e. Just like in any consumer product, pag parang namonopolize mo na ang market mo, expand it. They can do this sa kahit anong timeslot, but a particular timeslot will be best… and they have to decide which one.

Another reason bakit the network retained BCWMH on daytime is that mas mahirap humanap ng strong material that would compete sa kabila. They think rin na mas maraming ibang material sila na options for primetime, so they just let BCWMH bring home the bacon for them sa daytime.

Sa akin, basta extended sila na pinag-aralan lahat ng aspeto, ok na yun.

May habulan daw? Baka magno no si maya tapos iiyak tapos tatakbo sa labas. Tapos hahabulin ni sc. Tapos magsi speech si SC tapos magye yes na si Maya… ahihihi

I don’t think naman the suggestion of ending it was seriously considered. Syempre, the show is still giving more benefits than harm. Ang ayaw ko lang mangyari is madamay ang maayos nang status ng BCWMH dahil lang sa gusto nilang mabalanse ang lahat. Pero don’t worry, super love daw ni Ma’am Charo ang show.

Pero in fairness sa BCWMH, isa sya sa mga ABS shows na na-maintain pa rin generally ang lead sa AGB for Mega Manila vs katapat na show. Although understandably dahil Mega Manila ito, mas narrow ang gap nila ng kalaban kesa sa Nationwide ng Kantar.

Malaking factor kasi sa megamanila yung signal quality ng Abs cbn madami ako kakilala na nagtyatyaga sa GMA kasi mahina yung reception ng abs cbn sa area nila. Tong GMA kasi dinedelay yung going digital ng analog tv ayaw na siguro maginvest ng abs cbn sa lumang technology.

Ang dami nga ring nagsasabi about sa signal issue na yan. Good thing for ABS though, very strong ang regional/rural presence nila kaya winner pa rin sila nationwide. (Pero Mega Manila is a very good market. Wag pa ring balewalain.)

THE PROPOSAL

The fact that Sir Chief is eventually going to pop the question any day now reminded me of when my husband now, my boyfriend then, proposed to marry me. He had to repeat the question three times. No, I wasn’t hard of hearing, I was distracted. Please indulge me and allow me to tell you how it happened.

We went to our favorite restaurant. It was a gorgeous evening and the sun was setting over the Pacific Ocean. We were led to a table by the window, the best seat in the house, and I was quite impressed that it stood empty even though the other tables around ours were already taken. I learned later that he arranged for the manager to hold this table for us even though there is a restaurant policy that tables are given on a first-come-first-served basis only. They never have problems filling this place; it is a very popular dining destination, after all. Little did I know that the restaurant staff was also in on it. And it was only because of this that the manager agreed to reserve that particular table for us.

Anyway, since it was a restaurant along the beach, we can feel the gentle breeze blowing, making the coconut trees outside sway. We can hear the waves gently lapping on the shore and honeymooners, as well as families with children, mostly tourists, were sitting on the beach watching the sun set. The diners and servers at the restaurant were buzzing about with their business of ordering and serving. All kinds of things were happening all around me and my senses were on overdrive. I was thinking of how fortunate I was to be dating the man in front of me and how much I was enjoying his company. I was happy, for me, at that very moment. Then, I realized that he had just asked me a question, which I didn’t hear. So, I asked him to repeat it. When he said what I thought I heard, I was taken aback (I think my lower jaw dropped and my eyes opened wide like saucers) and I exclaimed in a voice much louder than I intended to: “What?” so that people around us, actually glanced our way. I just wanted to make sure that I heard what I thought I heard. So, he repeated “will you marry me” a third time. Momentarily, I panicked! I said to myself, “God what am I supposed to say?” Then I heard God answer me loud and clear, “Check your list.” You see, I have been keeping a list of characteristics I want in the man I am going to marry. I carried this around my head with me for some time. This was compiled from years of dating and learning what I appreciated most in the men that I admired. Some of those in the list are:

Nakakain ba talaga ng mabuti si Maya? parang sa sobrang praning di na nakakain. at kinain ba talaga nya yung luray luray na cake? Nirape lang yata ng chopsticks nya eh kaya pinaligpit agad sa waiter para di makita ni SC.

Yung walang hiya-hiya na nag I love you at nagkiss sa harap ng bibiyenanin ganun talaga sis… di na mapigilan ang damdamin.

3. He has to consider the mind as the sexiest part of my body. I believe that for us to keep our relationship going, we need constant intellectual stimulation. After all, when we grow old and gray, what have we left but our mind. In our conversations, we covered global issues that may affect us, the local economy, the role of the church in people’s lives, how to make adobo and pinakbet pizza, jazz and classical music, recent movies we’ve seen, the current book we’re reading, the plays at the local community theatre and more. Check!

4. He has to be able to dance. We got together because he asked me to become his ballroom dance partner and he is very good at it. We both have entered local dance competitions and won. Check!

5. He has to play a musical instrument. I play the guitar. He plays the flute, the ukulele and the guitar. Check!

6. He has to be a good cook. I don’t like to cook so this is a must. He makes sushi, my favorite. He can make pizza from scratch. He has an excellent recipe for a delicious marinara sauce. He can assemble a beautiful restaurant-worthy dish at a moments’ notice. Check! After I got through my list, and it is a long list, since I just gave you a taste of some of them here, and I felt confident that he fulfilled them all, I finally said “yes, I will.” He then placed the ring around my finger and around my neck, a fragrant flower lei, that was in a bag he carried to the restaurant with him. I was wondering why he was carrying this bag with him, earlier. I was totally clueless of his plans.

Then, our waiter came to open the bottle of champagne that had been chilling in a bucket next to our table, which I didn’t remember ordering. Actually, we didn’t order it. My Sir Chief pre-ordered it hours ahead so that it had been chilling in that bucket before we even got there. He had everything orchestrated with the restaurant’s staff hours before our arrival. I was just too preoccupied and excited to be out on a dinner date with him to pay attention to such inconsequential details. Then, the string of congratulations, beginning with the restaurant manager and his waiters, came one by one, as they stopped by our table. The neighboring diners who overheard what was happening also chimed in with their well wishes. Then my cell phone started to ring as my mother, then my sisters, then my best friend, called one after another, to congratulate us. I realized then that everyone else but me knew what was going to happen that night, except me!

The ring fit perfectly! How did he get the right size? He asked a friend to size it up for him. She came by to visit me in the office a week prior. She invited me to lunch. At lunch, she was sporting a ring that I was complimenting her on. She offered for me to try it on to see how it looked on me. It fit perfectly. So all she needed to do was call my Sir Chief after lunch and tell him what my ring size is. Clever, huh!

I can’t wait to see what Sir Chief has in store for Maya when he proposes to her.

Thank you Miss Wasabi for sharing your story. Buti na lang you didn’t have to dig the main course for the ring. Pero syempre you had no idea what he is about to do. Very morantic nga ang proposal mo. Ako medyo ganoon din, he had to repeat it over again kasi i couldn’t hear him well. Ang ingay ng mga birds sa beach tapos the waves were extremely strong that day. He didn’t carry a ring with him that day for fear that 1. I would not accept the proposal 2. I may not like what he picks out. Instead he had a heart necklace for me which i still have today over 13 years later. Thanks again HW. I am sure Richard’s proposal to Maya will be as sweet and touching as yours.

Yours is a proposal story worth remembering. Mine is so forgettable I wish I can forever erase it from my memory, although I’m still married to the guy who proposed to me on Valentine’s Day, 1973. Year before, I broke up with him after I got tired of his being a man about town. He was a terrible bf, flirted openly. He had the looks and could pretty much get any girl he fancied and thought he could return to me anytime and I’d take him back.
That V day, I went out on a date with him ’cause everyone else at work had a date and he kept on asking.
So he said “Are you really leaving ?” I said “Yes, my (immigrant’s) visa/papers are ready and I’m flying to NY in six weeks.
Can I come with you?
“Well how can you?
“Can you marry me, will you marry me?”
And that’s my sad proposal story. We hurriedly prepared for our wedding, I left the groom three days after the wedding and he followed me six months later. He turned out to be a good hubby and father after all, responsible, generous and best of all, shared my love for travel and church activities.

At the table, the food is all laid out. Richard helps her to her chair. Maya started inspecting the food carefully looking at it at every angle for any signs of the hidden ring. Richard wonders if she didn’t like what he ordered? Maya said it is fine but she continued to inspect the food checking and carefully lifting every sushi roll to make sure there isn’t a ring inside. Meanwhile, back at the condo, Ehman arrives home to find NT, Mamang, DE and MF at the dinning table…(Geese between these four, Ehman’s condo seemed toooooooo tight. Snap!) He joins them and wants to know if Maya has already sent a text. NT said that maybe this isn’t the day that he is going to propose. DE said, she really didn’t know. She was just assuming. She wanted to call Richard but NT stopped her. She said that they might be bothering their dinner date. DE agreed.

Back at the restaurant, Maya carefully takes a bite of the Ebi Tempura slowly chewing it. Richard notices and thought that she didn’t like the food. He said that they should order something else. Maya tells him she likes the food and not to worry. (Weeey…you just didn’t want to chew so hard in case you might be chewing on platinum band and a half carat diamond.. admit it Maya ha ha) The waiter brings them a couple of shot glasses and the mini pitcher (for lack of a better word) of hot sake. Maya investigates the shot glass…it’s empty. (ha ha) She watches the waiter pour the hot sake in it and nothing else came out of the mini pitcher ha ha She takes the shot glass but (and this is so funny) Richard said “Maya”. “Yes Ser Chief?” she replied and took a sip of the sake. Richard said, “Will you…” Maya almost spewed at Richard as she chokes on the sake. She started to cough. Richard asked if she was ok? Maya found a way to cover up and said it’s the sake. She has always had problems with alcohol. She calmed herself, sat up straight and intently faced Richard. She asked him what it was that he wanted to ask her? Richard seriously said, “Will you…” Maya’s head started to nod as if she is urging him to finish what he wanted to say. “…tell me about Mamang?” Richard continued. Maya’s face spelled “spoiled” and couldn’t be painted on a canvass. She is somewhat disappointed but not really. She should be called the winner of the Miss Assumption contest) She covered up by giving him an update on Mamang. Richard tells her not to worry too much about Mamang for he is sure she will be ok. Maya got out of that so in celebration, she gulps down a shot of sake straight up. (oooopppps Maya be careful. Remember what happened when you got drunk ha ha) Suddenly Richard’s phone rings. It’s Liza. He excuses himself to Maya to answer the phone and to the men’s room. Maya is somewhat relieved.

At the condo…the entire group has their cell phones all lined up on the table just waiting for a word from Maya. They tried to keep busy. Ehman was doing his nails, Nanty T was reading a magazine and Mamang doing DE’s hair (ha ha they are now the new BFF’s). MF is left standing leaned against a wall just watching everyone. (Wow people give this woman, older than dirt, a chair to sit on) Suddenly, Maya calls and they get into a frenzy trying to figure out which phone is ringing. They gather around the table. NT answered the phone and Maya on the other end was a bit sad to say that nothing has happened yet. DE asked if they had dessert already? Maya was surprised to hear her voice. DE confirmed it was she and that she is at the condo with the others. Maya said they haven’t had any dessert when suddenly the waiter comes with a small cake topped with a ring. He offered the dessert to Maya (oh dear…will someone train this waiter please? Why would he bring a proposal dessert to a table with only one person? Couldn’t he have waited for when both of them are at the table? Geese…it’s called common sense. But then again Winnie, this is just a story and that is just a ploy to inject humor. Ok ok I forgive you creative team ha ha I am done with my self-talk now a la Maya. 😀 ) Maya quietly screams and told everyone on the phone that the cake has a ring on top. Everyone on the line got excited until the head waiter calls the other to tell him that he is delivering the cake to the wrong table. Maya tells everyone that it is a false alarm. The camera pans in on the couple and the girl is saying her lines out loud to be sure the camera and the microphone got what she was saying. He pulls the ring on her finger and asks if she would marry him. She gets up and says what sounded like a million times yes yes yes yes. Maya’s face was a bit jealous of the couple. I think she wished it were her that was saying yes a million times.

Pasensya na, hindi ako nakapagparamdam masyado today, deadline ng grades eh. haaay (ayan, alam nyo na work ko )

Off topic lang: surprise ako GTB only registered a 34% rating. I was expecting kasi maybe around 40%. medyo may press release about trending ang show and how it fared better than the rival show sa other network. pero I think disappointed din sila………………..baka kasi wala pa yung dalawang bida.

Maybe abs-cbn need to discover new stars….ngayon only Kathniel, Kim Chiu, Coco Martin, Richard Yap, Vice Ganda lang ang pambato nila.

Let’s see nga if ano ang ratings pag lumabas ang dalawang bida. I would like GTB to be a hit din. ABS needs to restrengthen their primetime block na especially in Mega Manila.

And panawagan lang guys, let’s also support the primetime teleseryes of ABS. Magaganda rin naman. Another reason is this: I just heard from a friend that someone from ABS once thought of ending BCWMH kasi people are too focused on the serye na di na nabibigyang pansin yung iba pa nilang shows. I know that’s st*pid reasoning pero ayokong magkatotoo. Kahit na sa nationwide ratings, mas mataas ang rank ng ABS primetime shows compared to BCWMH, pero relatively speaking, mas mataas ang BCWMH given it is on daytime. Meaning, kung ilalagay mo ang BCWMH sa primetime along with these shows, malamang mag-number 1.

Sa totoo lang sis cyber… BCWMH lang talaga ang pinanonood namin sa TFC + news. Never ko kasing ma-enjoy ang mga drama, iyakin kasi ako eh!

Plus may kids really don’t like to watch any violent shows. Family bonding na namin ang panonood ng show na ‘to.

So using her chopsticks she pokes and prods and lifts up the cake. DE said be careful and just eat it slowly. So she continues to poke the cake with her chopsticks until it is mangled to death. (Ha ha Maya is so funny.) She says she doesn’t see anything. She decided that maybe this isn’t her night. She said goodbye to everyone. She told herself that it is ok if Richard does not propose tonight after all; she doesn’t really know how to react to it anyway. At the condo, DE tells everyone that they were just overly excited. She decides this is the time her and MF should go home. They said their goodbyes and the two new bff’s promised to send a text to one another.

Back at the restaurant, Maya sends away the dessert plate. Richard returns to the table to find that all the food has been eaten including dessert. Maya told him she suddenly got hungry. Richard told her that after dinner, he would take her straight home because she has an early flight tomorrow morning. She agreed.

At the mansion, Nikki is pacing back and forth trying to build up gumption to call Nicolo to tell him she is going to help him with his music video project. When she phoned Nicolo Angelo Cortez (they sure think of such great names in this show. They have Nikki Grace Lim, Abigale Ruth Lim, Luke Andrew Lim, Christina Rose de la Rosa etc. The only stinky one is Ange pronounced ang-ge ha ha) he was a bit down. He tells her he has chicken pops and he is alone. Dad isn’t home. Plus he doesn’t think he could do the music video now that he looks hideous from the chicken pops. Nikki thought of a plan to use a mask. She suddenly calls for her brother. (ha ha I love when Nikki said “So G R R R talaga this guy”)

The two lovebirds arrive at the condo. Maya said goodnight but Richard wanted to walk her upstairs (I also notice that when Richard comes, he just takes up and parks right at that entrance where it seems to me is the drop off zone. ) She asked him why he wanted to walk her upstairs? Richard said that she asks too many questions. Maya retorts back that it is free to ask a question. (ha ha these two could banter back and forth and they are just so much fun to watch) Maya then walks ahead of Richard toward the elevator. She was talking away telling Richard that his mother came to visit her folks earlier etc etc. In front of the elevator, when she turned around she did not see Richard until she looked down. Suddenly, she clasped her hand together and with a huge smile she excitedly said “Yes yes yes my Ser Chief yes” just like the girl at the restaurant. Richard stood up with this confused look on his face. He asked if she is ok? Maya said yes she is why wouldn’t she be? Richard said because of her reaction. Maya asked what reaction? Richard said that she screamed. Maya said she didn’t know she screamed. She was just loud. So Richard apologizes and stoops back down to tie his shoes. (Bwahahaha “Hagalpak” me as in LOL) When he stood up he continues the conversation about Mamang etc etc but everything else after him tying his shoes is moot point at this time. Maya wasn’t even listening. She is embarrassed

At Nicolo’s, Nikki sat in the living room while Luke talks to Nicolo at the study. Nicolo wasn’t sure that this mask thing would work. But then he trusts Nikki. Luke urges him to go ahead and put it on and practice his part. Back at the condo, Richard and Maya arrive upstairs and find them having dinner. He said hello and told them that he just took Maya home. He asked Mamang how she is doing and then said his goodbye. He gave Maya a kiss on the cheek and said he loves her. She said ILY2 but her eyes pan to the side at Nanay T (awkward ha ha). Richard exits the room. Mamang teases Maya.

Inside the room NT asked Maya what happened? Maya finally could shed her front and be her real self. She holds her face and said she is so embarrassed. She was affected by everyone and acted like a fool. She told her mother that every move that Richard did, she was saying yes anticipating the question. She lost control. Nanay T and her looked at each other then they start laughing. She said she thinks Richard may have thought she is going insane. (You are insane Maya) Nanay T asked her if he didn’t know that yet? Maya reacted to her mother. But seriously, NT told Maya that if she could only see herself. She is a picture of a very happy person. Maya said that when she found out about Richard’s proposal, she realized that NT is right. The answer to that question will just come naturally. Maya continues to tell her mother that when Richard came to pick her up at the airport, she looked at him from afar and she knew in her heart she loves this man so much. So if he proposes tomorrow, next week, next moth or next year, she knows what she is going to say. NT is sure that Maya now knows what she wants. Maya asked her if it is ok if she said yes? Nanay Teresita got emotional. She gave Maya a huge hug. She told her “Of course my child. I have no right to tell you no because you are of age now. Besides I believe that you could handle achieving your dreams for yourself and for us including starting a family for yourself.” Maya was quiet absorbing everything her mother is telling her. NT tells Maya to hurry up and come out and tell her grandmother her story because she is very excited to know.

At a nearby café, Richard is having coffee waiting for someone. The female messenger came with a bag for Richard. She said she was sent by Ms Abueg to deliver the package to him. Richard asked when she was returning from Europe? She said next week. She tells the messenger that he will call her then. (psssttt Richard, will you just say her phone number out loud for Monkie Willand? He wants to call her and ask her and her legs for coffee… Will you please?) When the lady left, Richard opens the package (cue music). It is indeed Maya’s engagement ring.

Next Time on BCWMH

Richard arrives home and talks to his mother. DE tells him they thought that he was going to propose to Maya already. Richard asked her if they were spying on him? DE tells him that Maya knows already that he is going to propose to her. What??? Richard said (yep you are the last one to know that everyone knows including people in San Nicolas.) NT receives a call from Richard. Everyone thought it was bad news but NT said that the proposal is set. Richard is throwing a party at his house. (yeay!) DR had a big smile on his face and tells Richard that he is finally ready. (Ummm yep and there is no prenup yeay#2) Richard gets up from his chair and gives his father a huge hug. DR tells him he only wished the best for him and Maya. Richard tells him he knows that. Nanay T asked Maya if Richard were to ask her out and then she finds out that he is going to propose to her… Maya looks to the side seemingly thinking things through. Richard visits Alex and while kneeling and rubbing is hand on the cold cement, he tells her that nothing could compare to what they had but there is something between him and Maya. He tells her not to worry; he promises the kids are in good hands. He stands up and said, “I am going to get married now ok?” Suddenly there is a pain in my heart.

Note: I am so happy to see that Maya is finally carrying that black purse correctly. I think we all beat that issue to death that that purse shouldn’t be carried around on Maya’s shoulder. Now it looks fine just like a purse. This also proves they read our forum and posts because they seem to catch on to our comments. Another thing…Maya just came from a flight. She had her pull up bag when she met Richard but when Richard dropped her off at the condo; she didn’t have the pull bag. Tsk tsk tsk, yall are “sablay” once again. Also, I wonder what happened to Nicolo? Where is he? I miss him ha ha…..

Two things that never fail to bring tears to my eyes are, Nay T’s dialogue with her girls, today her dialogue with Maya and SC’s dialogue with Alex at the cemetery. Nay T ang dakilang Ina!!! Maya looks at Richard intently……when a car almost run over them, Maya automatically sought comfort from Richard, secure and safe in Richard’s arms because she was startled…….all this leads to Maya’s final decision that yes, she wants to be part of Richard’s life.
Hilarious anticipation Part 2

The anticipated proposal is making Maya so hilariously distracted, though she carries herself well enough for Richard not to dwell on it as Maya assured him she was okay…. Even the drinking of the sake made her cough…funny thing is Richard is not in the same wavelength……because he is not yet going to propose that night…..then Maya downs the sake in one go because Richard’s focus is on Mamang’s condition. The call from Liza is to tell him about the engagement ring that will be delivered, as shown on the next scene after bringing Maya home, he is taking coffee and a woman delivers the ordered ring.

It was previously stated by some that Richard will just be tying his shoelaces, ang galing ninyo…..and Kute was right, because of her distracted anticipation, Maya did say yes even when Richard had not asked or stated anything…….”I hate wearing this shoes,”….and proceeds to tie his shoelace.

Sweet of Richard to kiss and tell Maya that he loves her bidding Maya goodnight after bringing her home. Of course kilig to the bones si Mamang, Nanay Teresita and Emman ( and of course tayong mga viewers).

I knew Nikki was going to do the right thing and help Nicolo, her creativity will work well even if Nicolo has the chicken pox. Good for you Nikki.

Mother-daughter conversation part 2 is a continuation of their sharing…..Maya admitting she was going crazy because of all that was said but she finally confirms that if asked she will say yes because she loves Sir Chief and she needed to ask Nanay Teresita that it is alright for her to say yes……Nanay Teresita believes that Maya can carry it all, fulfill her dreams, and that of her family besides starting her own. I believe this too because as Dona Esmeralda said, Richard will always put family first and will allow Maya to do the same for her family and fully support her. This will confirm what he told Maya about, “Us” “We” in everything because they will always be in everything together (the episode wherein Maya and Richard exchanged emails) and also when Richard told Maya you will always be part of my decision making because you are now part of my family. (Just connecting the dots po…..).

Richard is a very organized person, of course he has to visit Alexandra to tell her of his plans of getting married and start anew, with Maya. The best ka talaga Sir Chief!

On the teaser, Dona Esmeralda tells Richard Maya knows…..and the call to Nanay Teresita confirms Richard’s swift action.

Winnie O….you are right, Richard needs to salvage the situation and on the teaser he has dinner scheduled at the mansion and the proposal will be there with both families present. How sweet…..oh I do hope that Abby will have a vital role in the proposal………

Oh, so many hours to wait for tomorrow’s episode………writers will you be throwing us another cliff hanger or will you show us the proposal tomorrow? Richard has the ring……..sana bukas buo na………para wedding plans na and maybe a trip to San Nicolas……..Richard will always do what is right and Kute and Cho has to be present to complete Maya’s family……or maybe Maya’s next flight will be to San Nicolas and Mamang and Nanay Teresita goes home on that flight and Richard joins so that they can share the good news to Kute and Cho……ay sorry po, guessing game ko lang po! an oops moment though, the scene where Nikki was waiting for Nicolo to call but she finally decided to call him herself should have been shown right after SC picked up Maya from the airport……..kasi while on the road, SC was on the phone telling Nikki that they should not be too late going home and after, tells Maya that Luke will be visiting Nicolo because he has the chicken pox. this scene was actually shown only after Maya has gone through the food looking for the ring……but overall, okay na rin…….gets ko naman even if I had to repeat that I did not make a mistake in understanding the continuity.

Mukhang mapipilitan yata si Richard na mag propose publicly as oppose to how he intends it to be. Sa flow kasi ng story parang feeling ibinibitay na si Maya when Richard is going to pop the question. Her mind and her heart are running amok that she doesn’t know if the proposal will really happen or not. Dagdagan pa na Richard now knows that Maya knew about his intention to propose so baka di nya maiwasan na tuksuhin muna si Maya. Siguro naman he can relate this new found information to Maya’s behaviour during their dinner at saka dun sa elevator.

If di pa rin mag propose si Richard sa dinner the next day, most likely this will p*ss Maya off at iisipin nya there is no seriousness at all sa proposal. A royally p*ss off and agitated Maya dela Rosa is SCARY so kung meron man may magwawala at hahabulin eh most likely si Maya yun. Of course si Richard ang maghahabol habang matatakot naman ang mga matriarchs sa reaction ni Maya at baka pati na rin ang mga kids. Syempre natulala na sya when Emman told her about the planned proposal tapos nakaramdam na sya ng takot at pag-aalinlangan when she had that talk with her Nanay Teresita at na-excite na rin sya ng sobra when she thought Richard is on the act of proposing sa may elevator so what is left for her to feel about it but be surprised and amazed for Richard’s grand proposal gesture and PDA.

Baka si Mamang ang mang-agaw eksena dahil mahi-high blood sya. If mag mega walk out nga si Maya, most likely Richard will have no option but to run after her and propose in a very public place perhaps where many people are around habang ang mga miron eh magkakapit bisig to stop Maya from leaving and prod her to accept Richard’s proposal. I hope Richard keeps the ring with him wherever he goes para always ready. As he said Maya is unpredictable and nothing goes to plan when it comes to them.

Even if BCWMH does end, it has made its mark. I think people will look back someday and see how influential the show was, for its honesty, and goodness. Of course, there are all kinds of “spin-offs” that this show could have: a show focusing on the Lim kids, a show about Maya and SC’s married life, a San Nicolas-set show about the De La Rosas, etc.

Ang saya talaga dito sa thread natin kasi maaliwalas lagi. I visited kasi other sites related to BCWMH this morning at nawindang ako sa stress- puno ng takutan at balitaktakan… Takutan na baka buhay pa pala si Alex, at balitaktakan tungkol sa pagbisita ni SC sa puntod ni Alex.

Ako rin naman guilty of overanalyzing the show pero yung pag-overanalyze ko naman leads to greater appreciation of the show (I guess kayo rin at mas ginagawa nitong masaya, funny and sensible ang banter sa thread).

If I watch kasi BCWMH in order to be happy, di ba magiging useless ang panunuod ko kung kukunsumihin ko ang sarili ko?

I know. They were not able to see several months of episodes. Malaysians knew about them like Nikki and DR’s initial rejection of Maya, Mamang’s death, etc. They miss Maya and Sir Chief so much that links for Pinoy sites have been posted on their FB page for those missing episodes even without Malay sub. Apparently, the final episode was actually ABS-CBN’s version for international release as Season 1. Malaysian’s TV station had nothing to do with the editing. The Malaysian TV station also issued an explanation because they got so many complains too. Looks like Season 2 will be the episodes after the wedding. I personally think that the episodes after they entered into a relationships should have been Season 2. Season 3 will be those after the wedding. Maybe ABS shortened it this way to test the international market. Here is the link of the final episode shown in Malaysia and see for yourself. Let me know what you think.

I’m watching this vid you gave but after few minutes lang i felt really sorry for the Malaysian fans, grabe ang pagka chopchop nito. i wish na maglabas na lang sila ng DVD’s gaya nitong sa atin na may subtitle na lang para naman ma enjoy nila kung ano itong sayang binibigay sa atin gn BCWMH.

I was thinking how could they have Season 2 when they put “The End” at the end. They should have put “To be continued…”

I guess, it worked well for the TV station as televiewers are clamoring for more, and I guess they would definitely ride on it’s demand… baka naman they are working on it na… and ABS CBN will of course be happy to have another season..

Sabi ni SC since alam na raw ni Maya yun proposal might as well sasabihin na raw niya. Ang proposal kasama na ang buong family but after the date daw.

Naalala nga ni SC ang pinaggagawa ni Maya during their dinner date… ako na ang nahihiya para kay Maya… at alam na ni SC ang sagot ni Maya…habang naaalala ni SC yung kaganapan sa date nila kahapon knowing na alam na pala ni Maya about the proposal eh parang ako yung gustong lumubog sa hiya hahaha!!!

Richard had done it before. The first time had been wonderful although abruptly ended with tragedy. And now five years later, who would have thought he would have that rare chance of finding love the second time around let alone find the right one once more… but he did, he certainly did. And he had been absolutely certain even before he realized it… even before he knew it.

The truth is that knowing he had found the right woman to marry is not rocket science at all. The first time, he had no experience, he didn’t know what to expect, and he just plunged in. He felt the anxiousness… the restlessness… the excitement… the nervousness.
And yet, this time around that same feeling, the “kaba”, the excitement is all still there. He knew, he’s absolutely confident this time around it will be just as wonderful or he may even surprise himself that it will surpass all his expectations… simply because it’s an entirely unique woman he’s going to marry. He’s mostly confident it’s going to be a whole different experience altogether and the only difference is that he’s more confident now that he can face everything that comes afterwards… with doubt, without reservations.

And these may very well have been the reasons why, Richard Lim, one of the most eligible bachelor in the aviation industry has been 100% sure he has found the “ONE”… the queen of his life… the keeper of his heart… and the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life.

1. There is nothing major to change about her. He had known her; he had adored her; he admired her and he accepted her wholeheartedly… for what she represented then, for what she is now… for who she was then and most especially who she had become now. She is everything he had hoped for – simple, down to earth, caring and loving to those she holds close to her heart, loving to do things for other people, especially those she loves dearly, for she would cook even if she’s been a terrible cook, but cook she will out of her desire to express she simply cares. Although she can be very stubborn at times, but only for the right reasons and yet when she’s been wrong, she’s quick to seek to say her apologies and easily recognize her wrong. She may have been unpredictable and one thing is certain for she is one very sentimental person for she likes keeping little things for remembrance as if chronicling little milestones in her life. She’s simply sweet… playful and funny. This is one very important trait for that sense of humor will be crucial when the going gets tough and one can find humor even in the most trying situation for that’s just how one deals with life’s many challenges, finding humor into it to ease the burden, to make everything lighter. And as everybody would say, humor equates hot.

And while she has other admirable traits he fell in love with, her greatest motivation, her determination to reach for her dreams had endeared her to him all the more. For when she set her eyes to her goals, she sure made sure she achieved all she dreamt of, fought for them and succeeded with flying colors. She sure handled her dreams and aspirations and saw them to fruition.

2. She’s his best friend. While physical attraction and chemistry are crucial to any relationship, but at the core should be that strong and deeply rooted friendship for years come when both would be old, wrinkly, and having health issues but what will hold the marriage together when both are old and gray is the friendship. After her stint under his employ, he continued his interaction with Maya as he got so fond of her, drawn to her and eventually got at ease around her, making it so easy to let loose and be natural around her. He can be himself and not be judged nor criticize, he simply just be himself without pretense, without putting his best foot forward for she had seen him at his worst, and yet she accepted him without prejudice. After all, both men and women love being with someone who can let their guard down, be authentic, and reveal who they truly are… no games… no pretenses.

3. She gets along well with his family and friends. Being in love sometimes blur one’s vision and judgment, but knowing the very people close to you and seeing that the one is getting along with them will give that inner peace and that harmony will reign in one’s life, chaos will not be part and love only love and pure bliss will reign. As family raised us and made us who we are, and we picked our friends based on our common interests and values, it is very important that both sides like the other side as they will be interacting with one another for a lifetime. While there may had been glitches in the interaction and relationship between his kids and his parents with her, all the reasons that made them disapproved of her had all been gone and buried and had been replaced by all the love, respect and acceptance reign in everyone’s hearts. 4.His life’s been better with her around. Things started to click… with her around, his life had forever been changed. While he had been stern, cold, distant and focused in his company, her coming into his life changed the course of his life for she opened his eyes on what mattered the most, she showed her the way to that happy place once again. She guided him back to his family, to his kids who needed him and who loved him all their lives that he almost had forgotten how to reach out to them, how to love them back all because of his desire to shield himself from all the hurt, from his personal loss. She warmed his heart and opened the path for him and the kids to meet halfway, to cherish the love that they all share for each other and in the end, he had been happiest knowing that his kids are still there waiting for him to come around, waiting for their Dad’s love and attention. She did all that and he was forever grateful.

5.She had his back. While life can be melodramatic at times, we simply can’t avoid it and it sure will be a welcome to have that unwavering support from a partner whether it’s one bad day or something far more serious and uncontrollable. It means so much knowing that one’s partner is in the corner with you supporting you; listening to everything without judgment, and helping you pick up the pieces in the end. When she came into his life and to the lives of his kids, from that day on, she had his back all along. She saw thru it that he would not falter… he would not give up, for she had been willing to sacrifice herself, her love if only to ensure that his family stayed complete and intact. For nothing will ever be important for her than knowing that his family be whole, united and in harmony. On the flipside, she cared so much that she wanted everything good, she wished him all the success in all his endeavors, be it with family or business that when she would see something off or seemed not right, she would be the first to keep everything real when he needed to see, for she had always been upfront and honest to give him her feedback, her honest opinion, in the end, averting ruining or damaging relations when dealt with emotions or irrational and unfounded temper just like what transpired with the potential nannies and his dealing with his longtime confidant and friend, Fred.

6.She shares life’s priorities and Values. When it comes to fundamental beliefs, don’t we all wish our partners are on the same page and value things like family, values, principle? He can be very sure that his Mahal na Princesa shared his life’s priorities and values for he saw himself in her as he valued his family, his kids as his ultimate priority that nothing and no one will ever take precedence to what his life is all about – his kids. She shared his love for family as she shared his love for his kids, for she had proven him a number of times, how she valued his kids more than him and more than herself. He knew by heart, she will give up anything and everything for his kids and that made him all the more fell deeply in love with her and that made him realized she is the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, seeing and experiencing the beauty of her and the kids interaction with her and how that shared such genuine love with one another and her deep unconditional love not only for Abby but for Luke and Nikki as well and the deep respect she had for his parents and she did everything she could possibly had done to get their blessing and approval of her for their son.

7.He trusts, admires, respects her. Time and again, he trusted her with his kids, their lives for she knew just how she loved them so dearly she treated them as her own. He had witnessed it first hand with Abby, and he had witnessed it with Luke and Nikki as well. Her love for the kids is way beyond anyone he had seen, for her love for the had been genuine, unconditional and true. He admired and respected her guts, her determination as she reached and fulfilled her dreams, rising above all expectations set by her family, her friends, even the society. For when she set her mind to something, she would do anything and everything for that something and she would achieve them with flying colors. And while he admires and respects her, he knew she does the same for she is his biggest cheerleader, for she always sees the best in him, appreciating his good pints, focusing on his better qualities.

She came into her life, and since then she really believed in him… encouraged him to aim high, to achieve his plans especially when he went ahead with his project with the new hangar project, she was all behind him, supporting him, giving him that boost that everything will be as they envisioned it would be, he knew then how lucky he had been to have a great partner. He definitely needed all the positive support, and having her support all the way had been like uncovering a rare gift of a gem, his very own gem.

9.She knows what makes him happy. He had been lucky for she’s always aware and insightful enough to know how to brighten his spirits after a very long tiring day for she understood him very well; paid close attention too; and gave her undivided attention and care. While he may ultimately be responsible for his own happiness, but it is comforting to know that he is with someone who observes when he might need a little happy boost – and knows exactly what to do.

10. Most of all, he loves her so dearly… for she has become his life… a big part of him, a bigger part of his kids’ lives. And that is what matters the most to him.

There are so many things that Richard may have thought of why he had been decisive and very confident in his decision that he indeed had found his “ONE” one thing’s he’s sure, he could no longer wait for he needed to make his life changing moves, he just needed to propose to his Mahal na Princesa. After all, “marriage is not about finding a person you can live with, it’s about finding the person you can’t live without.” When one finds that woman, one thing is for sure… she’s definitely the one. He found his “ONE”. And he’s DEFINITELY sure she’s THE ONE.

G. IsaacsIt’s a Wrap. Or is it out of whack?

Too bad the last episodes since the household squabbles have been marginally entertaining at best. I really wanted this to end leaving me feeling good about all the reasons I stuck with this show in the first place. I agree with another reviewer OA much specially Maya during the dinner date and the elders.

Every episode lately has been leaving me less and less convinced that the story will right itself. That every episode should be better than we expect it to be. If it has been, I just didn’t see it. I’m never one to feel kilig but I know the story was entertaining up til the last month. I waited for THE ultimate twist and the ANSWER to all the lackluster episodes before because i know the writers have something in store to right what’s been off kilter. It’s disappointing that this is what I see. More poorly thought of scenes and acting. Because of so much commotion and misadventures, the proposal is almost dreadful. I just want better delivery and lines from our cast. That’s all.
I’m proud it is ending this way soon. I thought they needed more time to make all look right between SC and Maya but I guess it’s better to just take the plunge.

By the way Nikki is adorable and so are Luke and Nicolo. I missed Sabel & Doris. Also Kudos to DR for sticking to his business minded self. Can’t blame a rich man for thinking the way he does.

During the past couple of episodes, we have had the privileged of looking back to how Richard and Maya’s love story began. At each step of the way, we vicariously took the journey with Maya. We felt her disappointment when Richard thought ill of her in her interaction with Captain James, felt her jealousy while watching Richard interact with Raffi when the latter initially arrived at the mansion, anger when she learned that Richard had ordered a private investigator to conduct a background check on her, gratitude when Richard loaned her money so that the Dela Rosas can pay their mortgage off, appreciation when he allowed her to continue her studies, pride when she graduated from flight attendant school, excitement at hearing Abby spoke for the first time, the shock of joy when she felt Richard’s lips initially on her cheek then on her mouth, fear of the children’s reaction when they will learn of their budding relationship, angst at how his parents will receive her, anxiety of Richard’s colleagues reception of her as his significant other, ambivalence in making the choice between doing what is good for the family and what makes her happy and finally, her eager anticipation in finding out when that life-changing question is going to be asked of her. It has been a wild ride and a very exciting and fulfilling one, at that.

Sometimes it is nice to take the time to reflect on what has transpired in our life, thus far, acknowledge what has yet to be resolved, and appreciate how far we have come. It is at these times when we truly can celebrate the nerves of steel that our Creator has bestowed on us and show our gratitude to those people who have remained stalwart in giving their unflagging support of us and acknowledge the love and encouragement that they have freely given us. There is really some truth to the metaphor, “Filipinos are like bamboos, they intelligently adapt to the challenges each season brings and they propagate in clusters in order to provide support for each other.” The Dela Rosas and the Lims are families that have gone through seasons of storms in their lives but because of their commitment to each other, they were able to withstand their respective tests and came out stronger at the other end. Like the bamboo, they demonstrate their tenacity, their moral uprightness and their perseverance. Just as a bamboo is hollow-hearted, they also open their hearts to accept anything of benefit and worked very hard so that arrogance or prejudice will never take permanent root in it.

Yes, the inevitable is nearing! It is bittersweet, indeed. However, my heart wells with gratitude as I think back at what my year has been because Be Careful with my Heart is a better part of it. Thank you, ABS/CBN for producing such an uncompromisingly wholesome show. Kudos to the production and creative team for your commitment to generate quality episodes for our viewing pleasure and to the actors for tirelessly delivering such stellar scenes. You all made an indelible mark in the entertainment industry and you have successfully redefined the types of shows that should be produced in the future. Bravo!

MINKs and MONKs, this forum has become a part of my daily routine. I will be experiencing some epic withdrawal symptoms when this show will be over. Nevertheless, it has been such a blessing to have met such beautiful and kind online friends in a number of you. The bantering has been robust and purely motivated by fun. I definitely will miss the randomness of it all. I pray that the optimism and the positivity that Maya tries to impart through this drama will take deep roots in our hearts and that it will grow to touch other’s lives, in kind, as well. Maria Tan@H Wasabi, I just finished reading your insights on this particular episode, it made me realized for the 14 months that its been on air, the big impact it made in my life, when I first start watching this teleserye, i knew in my heart that I am gonna fall in love with SC & Maya, and the rest of the actors and actress, you see i used to watch this show with my late husband, and we both enjoyed watching them , we never missed an episode because of the values, love and family, my late husband had been disabled for the past 12 yrs, and i have to stop working so i can take care of him full time, I must admit life wasn’t easy for my family, but then BCWMH came everything change, Maya’s outlook, her positivity, as a family we have something to look forward to watch everyday, then 5 months ago i lost my husband, the show became my security blanket, every time i feel sad, all i have to do is turn on the computer or TV, then i feel much better , now that the show is about to end i am suffering from separation anxiety, my only hope is that they will eventually continue this show after the movie…

(Wow wow wow she certainly could sing and sing very well Go Niknik) Shortly after, Nikki is seen arriving back at the mansion. She was speaking to Nicolo on the phone. He tells her thanks for helping him and when he gets better, he will treat her and Luke. Nikki tells him he’s welcome and that he should rest. Luke followed Nikki and was in a sad mood. He tells Nikki that Joey could not longer help him with his music video. Nikki was bummed too but they can’t do anything. Apparently her schedule piled up and couldn’t find the time. Nikki tells her brother not to worry. She said she would help him. Luke was happy with his sister and even he promised to treat her for her kindness. Meanwhile Nicolo calls up Aira and asked her to edit the video and then upload it. Aira obliged. (Wow I didn’t know we haven’t seen the end of Aira ha ha But there she is…)

At the condo, Nanay T prepares breakfast. Maya tired to take over but Nanay T said she missed serving her. In their casual conversation, the two decided to go to the movies. Maya apologized for not taking her and Mamang out on a date. She said Richard’s plans to propose took priority. If not for that, she could have taken them to the movies a long time ago. After much discussion, they have decided that they would have a fun time at the movies tonight.

At the mansion, Dona E meets the kids at the breakfast table. She asks where Richard is? The kids said they didn’t know. All they know is that he left early. Dona E wonders where he could have gone so early in the morning.

Richard indeed left early to go visit Alex at the mausoleum. He lit a candle and then tells the Alex that he got the ring and it is beautiful. He tells her he is getting ready to get married as long as Maya accepts his proposal. He thought he wasn’t going to get nervous but he still feels it. It’s like when he proposed to her. He asked Alex if he remembered that? He takes the basket of flowers and places it next to her name. He tells her to wish him luck. He hopes he doesn’t stammer like he did when he proposed to her. He remembers not being able to tell her “Will You Marry Me?” But Richard said he has been practicing and even if he is nervous he hopes he doesn’t stammer. He tells Alex that nothing will compare to what they had but there is something between him and Maya. He also tells her not to worry; he promises that the kids are in good hands. He touches the cold stone. (Richard, that is a commendable gesture. You have so much respect for your late wife that you had to go to her gravesite to tell her that you are moving on with your life promising her that the children are in good hands. I must say that I hope my husband is the same way toward me if I go before him. I would want him to move on as long as my children are taken cared of just like I would if I was alive.)

On the way to school in the car, Nikki asks Luke if he knew where their Dad went? Luke smiled and said he had gone to see their mom. Abby asks Luke and Nikki if they think their mom would get mad that their Dad is getting married again? Nikki answers Abby and tells her that she does not think so. She is sure that their mother knows that Maya loves their Dad and she loves them too and their Dad is so hapy with her. Abby then said that they are happy with Maya as well. Luke turned around and held sweet Abby’s hand. (This is a tender moment with the siblings.)

Tee PeeWaaaaah! I know it is too late to post but I really just got done watching Friday’s episode and I can’t help but be moved to tears by 3 touching scenes.
The talk that Richard had with Alex was so simple but really heartfelt. Galing galing talaga ni RY. I can really feel the love that he still have for Alex.
I couldn’t help but wonder if my own SC would feel the same way when I am gone. (Oh my! Simbako palayo oy!)
Anyway, the car scene with the kids got me teary eyed too knowing fully well what Maya had to go through to get Nikki and Luke to just accept her.
But look at how they just adore Maya now. So naka ka touching talaga.
Finally in the scene with Liza and SC…aaaaah! Richard Yap really portrayed his role as the super excited Ser Chief so well that I could really feel his love emanating from the screen! Natawa naman ako dun sa line ni Kute na ….napakakulit na damo yun, hindi mapuputol yun …tutubo lang yon ng tutubo ….
Ha ha na….orig yun ah! I dunno. Mababaw lang talaga siguro ang kaligayahan ko that I get easily natutuwa at nagagalak sa show na to.
But what’s not to love about this show? The positive vibes I get after watching each episode just gives me a natural high. Somehow, life just gets easier when I see it at a different angle. Nothing really beats positivity!

My thoughts on today’s heartwarming epi:

-SC-Alex Scene: As mentioned before, I always find scenes like this touching. Inabangan ko ito kasi may mga nag-react negatively when this was shown as part of the teaser noong weekend pa lang. Ako, I find it ok naman pala. Hindi ko sya inoveranalyze especially the lines. Ang dating lang sa akin nung scene e parang ex-GF turned bestfriend ni SC si Alex, which is good kasi parang na-transcend na yung relationship nila into something else… parang di na sya kaagaw ni Maya.

Jo EWhat a great episode. I expected that the proposal will be next week, so it’s a long wait for Sunday night. I still don’t know how Ser Chief will do the proposal. He’ll probably call Joma to bring the ring to him before they board the cruise ship.
If Abby can figure out who Mallows is, Luke and Nicolo should be able to.
Maya and Ser Chief are so lucky to have the full support of their families. This show brings out the importance of family in every persons endeavor, kapit bisig talaga.

-At kagaya nyo, ako ang nahihiya for Maya. Buking na naman sya ng Ser Chief nya!

-Ang cute ni SC dun sa scene nila ni DE. Actually, he always looks like a little boy pag si DE at MF ang kaeksena nya.

-I love the scene ng Lim kids sa car. Very short, simple but said it all.

-Nikki, di kasi marunong magtipid ng ngiti e. Ayan tuloy, halata ka na. Baby Abby, may tama ka! Yes, it’s your Kuya Nicolo.

-Galing ng reaction ni NT when SC called him up. Mata pa lang umaarte na!

-DR, abswelto ka na sa mga kaso mo. I’m glad they are now showing his good side.

-Kute and Cho… What can I say? Dela Rosa nga kayo!!!

Hay what can I say… I felt the sincerity in all the scenes (except dun sa part ni Cheska. I didn’t like the way she reacted ). RYap really acts well especially when he is talking to Alex. Medyo naiyak din ako dun sa part na nagrereminisce si Kute. Parang kelan lang, crush pa lang ni Maya si SC tapos ngayon magpopropose na si SC.

Liza’s reactions = my exact same reactions while SC is discussing his plans for his proposal.

Joseph FieldsNow that SC and Maya are sort of a done deal going in slow motion giving up all the wonderful flavor of the slow motion romantic unfolding of the proposal and happily ever after I am really enjoying Nikki and Nicolo’s dramatic situation. Ay na ko.

Actually mga sis, may nabasa akong analysis ng isang expert about sa BCWMH phenomenon (pinalabas rin ata on TV yung interview nya). During the time this expert was being interviewed, lowest point ng story. I think this was the time na may struggle ang Lim kids in accepting Maya as their Dad’s GF. Alam naman nating lahat na binagyo talaga ng negative comments ang show nung time na yon. Halos lahat ng comments even from the adiks, very nega. This was also the time na medyo nagpipick-up na rin ang show ni Ryzza.

So, bakit nga raw nagre-rate at sinusubaybayan pa rin ang BCWMH kahit na ganito na ang nangyayari? Kasi naging parte na sya ng kultura at buhay ng mga Pilipino. SC went to Alex and made a very touching and heartwarming goodbye. His speech reveals his vulnerability during previous proposal. He is also nervous just like before. He has been practicing this time so he will not stammer again.

Dona “loose lip” Esmeralda told SC that they are spying on him during his date with Maya. SC was able to connect the dots that explained Maya’s weird demeanor at the Ginzadon Japanese Restaurant and at the lobby of her condo.

The music video was a brilliant idea that showcased Janella aka Nikki’s musical talent. What a beautiful voice. Nikki was so ecstatic while watching the video. The perceptive Abby so very young cannot help but asked if Nicolo is Mallows. At another scene , Cheska was so jealous of Nikki. Angge noted about the chemistry of Nicnic and Niknik and wonder if there is a thing going on between the two. This scene showed Luke seems curious what Angge just said. …Naku Nikki your better be ready with your Kuya he might give you a third degree questioning.

Don Roberto did it. I mentioned in the past if he is really concern about the welfare of his grandkids to
name them as heirs to his wealth sort of way not SC. The land he purchased in Laguna next to PUS property he gave it to his grandkids.

The highlight of this episode is the preparation for SC proposal. Maya has no idea what is coming her way. Hot Wasabi we are right , the proposal will happen in a cruise ship. Liza set it up at sunset in Manila bay… how romantic. Right ..Liza gets her bonus as a goto girl. Anyway where am I, SC is so decisive and gives Liza the littlest details from music, choice of songs, flowers….Pati si Liza is giddy too. I almost faint sa kilig when I saw the list of songs. Ligaya, Sorry Pwede ba?, The Way You Look Tonight, Be Careful with my Heart. To those fellow addiks how could you not remember the songs.. no way Jose . All are memorable. The songs were played or sang at different milestones of their journey through loveville.

One big problem though, at the “teaser” SC left the ring in his room. Paano na ‘yan? ….Si SC pa he’ll find a way. The cliffhanger… a marriage proposal without a ring… hay buhay !! He’ll figure something out.

Kalma lang Sis. Someone from the house, either the Senior Lims or Manang Fe will notice the ring on the bed and will bring it along with them to the cruise ship! Waaaaaaaaah! Nahulaan ko nga! Sa cruise ship nga magpo-propose si Sir Chief! Yehey! I bet the kids will join in on the proposal, as in they will each come up and bring a bouquet of flowers, definitely give her a hug and maybe join in a song ala serenade. Oh kilig to the bones!
I just thought the cruise ship is a great place for the proposal because this was suppose to be the venue for their first date. But as fate would have it, it becomes the proposal site, instead. How romantic! Kiliiiiiiiiiig!

I agree that we should prove to ABS that a Book 2 is still very much needed and anticipated. Ang alam ko, talagang babalik naman sila on TV after the movie and they have announced this sa mga interviews and shows nila lalo na si RY and JSM. Pero just like any other fan, gusto kong maniguro. Kaya nga mega pinapakalat ko rin that they will be back after MMFF para mahiya naman ang ABS na iurong ang plans nila to continue this. And I don’t think naman they would end a teleserye just like that if they see na marami pa ring sumusuporta dito and if may tiwala pa rin naman sila sa team behind this teleserye that they still has something to offer. Adding pa the fact that business pa rin ang isang TV network. Kung kumikita ako sa isang show, why end it?! In short, all the major reasons why they should continue BCWMH are still present. Sa ngayon, more reasons why they should continue than to end it.

Nanay Tere, pinapaiyak mo naman ako pati naman si Kute, kakaiyak naman itong mga Dela Rosa family.

Kinonfront ni Luke si Nikki kung sino si Mallows…walang choice si Nikki, pinakita picture ni Amiel. Nagselos si Amiel dahil sa nakitang video ni Nikki at Nicolo. Tinanong rin ni Luke si Nicolo over the phone kung may gusto siya kay Nikki, wala daw friends lang daw pagtingin niya pero may scene na tinitingnan ni Nicolo ang video tapos nag-pause kay Nikki.

kala ko di kakayanin ni DE tumakbo kasi dati, pagbumababa lang ng hagdan, hinihingal na siya! pero enjoy ako sa bonding ng mga matatanda. Under pala si DR ng mga ghels, pati si Mamang inuutusan siya!!!

Ang dating rin sa kin while SC was talking to Alex is parang transcended na si Alex. Parang he was not talking to a wife anymore. Parang ex-girlfriend turned bestfriend na nya si Alex, with reverence of course sa kanya as the mother of his children.

IBA si Maya and SC. Alex owned SC’s past, but Maya owns SC’s present and future. Gagawa sila ng bagong memories. Let’s just think of it that way.

(Actually, buti hindi sensitive ang Lim kids. Kung kasing bad ko sila, magtatampo ako. Although I don’t wanna compare, feel ko lamang pa nga si Maya in some ways. I think her engagement ring was better at mas pinag-isipan. Siya rin ang sinabihan ni SC na nagbigay sa kanya ng ‘best birthday ever’. Maraming ginagawa si SC for Maya na di naman niya dating ginagawa (Valentine’s Day celebration etc.) Haay, pasalamat ang adiks at hindi ako anak ni SC st Alex. Kung hindi, mas bratinela pa ata ako kay Nikki!

Sa dinami-rami ng mga katanungan natin dito kagabi, isang tanong ang gusto nating masagot- ang “Will you marry me?” ni SC.

Hindi ata umaayon ang universe sa panonood ko mamaya. Akala ko I can sneak out sa office CR to watch just like nung first kiss episode. Na-hopia ako. Ang daming pinagagawa ng boss ko today!
