So, SC is now watching it with Nikki. SC asked Nikki to sing sa wedding nila ni ate Maya.So sweet naman ng father-daughter na ‘to.

Mona LizaAng ganda ng banding nila.both side pampamilya kaya di nakakasawang panoorin. Thanks and more power

Winnie R OntiverosThe kids were hanging out at the van waiting for the rest to join them. They were looking at the pictures they just took from Richard’s camera and Nikki thought they were so cute. She wanted them to hurry up and get it developed. Luke said to print two copies so the De la Rosa’s will have their own copies as well. (That is awfully nice of you Luke)

Meanwhile, Kute, Mamang and Nay T walk the Senior Lims to the van and they talk about seeing each other again later tonight for the pamamanhikan. Behind them are Maya and Richard. Maya asked Richard if he has seen the music video that Nikki and Luke made for their project in school? Richard wondered why Maya knows all about these and he doesn’t. She explains to Richard that Nikki is afraid of him. Maya encouraged Richard to watch the video with an open mind. They said their goodbyes for the moment until tonight.

At the Chibugan, Simon supervises the neighbors as they cook and prepare the place (or I should say the entire street ha ha) for the event tonight. It is just like What Doris and Sabel described it to be. The entire neighborhood is invited so therefore everyone helped in the preparation. They are putting up banners and makeshift walls made of bamboo and coconut leaves. It is adorned with streamers of different colors. The tables are put out and covered with tablecloths. Others are designated for clean up and others cook. When the de la Rosas arrive from going out with the Lims, everyone was excited to see them back. It warmed Maya’s heart that the entire “barangay” is there to help prepare for the event. She thanked them for all their help. (Of course that is an exaggeration but the entire neighborhood was there to help. A barangay is the smallest administrative division in the Philippines and is the native Filipino term for a village, district or ward. Municipalities and cities are composed of barangays, and they may be further subdivided into smaller areas called purók (English: ), and sitio, which is a territorial enclave inside a barangay, especially in rural areas. In writing, barangay is sometimes abbreviated to “Brgy.” or “Bgy.”. As of June 28, 2011 there are a total of 42,026 barangays throughout the Philippines.)

The Lims make it back to the hotel. Luke and Abby were pooped. Nikki is too excited. She knows they have to iron clothes etc since Doris and Sabel are not around to get their clothes ready. She also wanted to help her Grandma with the food that the y ordered to take to the De la Rosa’s. She fussed about what Richard is going to wear. Richard took this time to ask her about the music video. He asked her why she didn’t tell him about it. Nikki said it’s because he was busy with his engagement. Richard told her that he always has time for her so he asked her to show him the video. Nikki did just that. She was waiting for some sort of reaction from Richard but instead; he was really impressed by her talent that he asked her to sing at the wedding. Nikki said that day is his and Maya’s day but he corrected her. Richard told Nikki that the occasion is for the whole family. Nikki could not say no. (Weeeeee! It is just fitting that Nikki sings at the wedding because she is indeed talented.)

Nagtitigan sina Maya and SC.

2330 days agoN/A N/AI can’t get enought of this teleserye!

I love love the idea of a full family participation in the wedding, more meaningful!!! Sino kaya ang maid of honor since ayaw ni Kute???

SaLoves GemToday’s episode is full of Good Vibes and Good Values to cherish for a lifetime!

Cynch HonradoSaLoves Gem, can you believe it, I was also thinking of twins for Maya and Sir Chief………parang bagay magka twins kasi……sobra tayo mag imagine ano!

Zel M“FAMILY”

Family is considered the basic unit of society and is the building lock of the world. Family traditionally shares blood and seen as biological in nature. Blood ties gives people that unique identity, a genealogical history as a family, which is a very exclusive grouping. But thru the years, family extended its definition and often used to create inclusive groups such as community, nationhood, global village and ultimately humanism. For the Filipino dynamics, we have been known to have our extended families – which include the relatives and even the household helps, the neighbors and even a particular individual or individuals that are not related but treated just like real blood family.

Many may call this phenomenon a pseudo family (which would mean “false family” or “resembling family”) or a quasi-family (which means “almost family”) but personally, I would rather refer these special and unique individuals as “family”, for they may not be of blood, but the love, the care are as real and as genuine and just sometimes even beyond that of blood relations in some instances.

Simon fits very well into the Dela Rosa family for he not only grew up with Maya and Kute, but had been a constant fixture into the family’s affairs, its ups and downs, its joys, its sadness and anything and everything happening into the fmaily. Simon was the son Nanay Teresita never had, the brother Kute and Maya could only wish for, the son-in-law Mamang wanted but just the same he may not have shared the DNA with the Dela Rosas but that never stopped the Dela Rosas from treating him like their own. He had been all that – the apo, the anak, the brother, friend and confidante all rolled into one. He is trusted by the whole family and was privy to important details in the family even the keeper of secrets to both Kute and Maya. He had always been there to extend his help, always there to reach out, to celebrate with and empathize during rough times. As such, he has earned the trust, love and respect of all the members of the family so much so that he is almost always part of any major milestones in the family. And as the family’s preparing for the pamamanhikan, Simon had been the designated “punong abala” or the principal host while the Dela Rosa’s took the Lim family around during the day and prepared for the official pamamanhikan by dinner time. He had been the one organizing and commanding all the things needed for the event, the arrangements and preparations, the food and its arrangements, overall orchestrating the whole preparation and ensuring that everything were done and done perfectly. And when the Lim family arrived, he was also the one who welcomed them in behalf of the Dela Rosa’s and ushered them upstairs to the Dela Rosa family.

Along with Simon, the staff from Little Pards Chibugan, also treated by the Dela Rosa’s as their extended family pitched in to help in all the preparations with Lino, Bugoy and Chona and the other staff assisting Simon in all of the preparations.

And what is unique to the Filipino culture is the bayanihan system which translates to the spirit of communal unity or coming together in an effort to achieve a particular goal at a particular time usually for an event or occasion. Simply put, it’s where neighbors more often also treated as family come together to help out a particular individual or family in times of celebrations or even in adversities by extending help, contributing something for the family no matter how big or small, extending service and even their moral support all for the good of everyone. The neighbors of the Dela Rosa’s came together in support of Maya and the Dela Rosa’s important event, the pamamanhikan. Everybody contributed by giving some fresh produce, firewood and even extended services and help out in all the preparations, from cooking, to arranging the decorations, the sitting arrangements and in whatever chores needed to ensure everything would be ready for the occasion.

And as it turned out, the event had been festive, happy and successful with the family and the extended family pitching in and helping out to the success of the momentous event. And as the pamamanhikan came to a close, everybody celebrated sharing food, drinks, music and dances to commemorate and celebrate Maya and Richard’s engagement and upcoming marriage.

Truly the bond that links a family is not only one of blood but of respect and joy in the lives of those close to us, be it blood family, extended family such as friends and neighbors alike. It is not only flesh and blood but the heart which make a family for in the truest sense the love, respect, camaraderie and unity are some of life’s greatest blessings.

Ayan na ang tagay kay SC!!! Ayaw sana uminom kaso pinilit, tapos count us in pa daw sabi ni DR!!

Hot WasabiHi Zel,
Thank you for putting Simon in the limelight. He definitely deserves the accolades that you are showering him in this literary piece. He truly carried the part of the “punong abala” to heart and he really is family to the Dela Rosas, their “adopted” son/brother. Glad to see you posted earlier than usual. Yaaaaay! Another great contribution, Sis. Yowza!

Ayan! tuba pala yun!Kasing lala ng lambanog at basi yan…tapos panay tagay, wala namang pulutan!
Yari na bukas!

Zel M@HW, yes it really is fitting sis to highlight Simon in today’s episode as he handled everything ensuring all is taken cared of and everything will be a go and perfectly executed. His unwavering support to the Dela Rosa’s in this very important event had given them that all important time to host the Lim family with their undivided attention and be the best host they all could be for the family that will soon be forever connected to them. They were all able to do just that, thanks to the ever reliable Simon. thanks sis for appreciating today’s offering.

@’TaR, indeed SImon is at the forefront of the celebration, staying behind the scenes ensuring all systems go but nonetheless, very crucial and significant role that the Dela Rosa’s will forever treasure and be grateful for. He always had been the “man” of the family, always there, always ready to step in and extend his helping hand at a notice. The Dela Rosa’s are truly lucky to have Simon in their lives. tyvm din ‘TaR for appreciating today’s offering.

Tita RMY EYES ADORED YOU
CAN’T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU
============================

oh, my gulay! SC, am fallin’ super (na) more and more (pa) with your “killer looks” at maya.
had i been maya, am already melted by now. that scene where maya, nanayT and kute
looking down from the window while SC and his family are doing their “look up, look up”
in their direction is my inspiration today to find songs that capture that special moment in today’s epi.

today, i share songs from the musical “jersey boys”.

i could almost hear SC singing to maya “my eyes adored you”,
while both SC and maya singing to each other “can’t take my eyes off you”.

for the song can’t take my eyes off you, am sharing 4 links cuz i did enjoy
listening to all of them. the first one is the original as sung by frankie valli,
2 versions by the jersey boys musical one from the london cast and another
from las vegas cast, while the 4th is the female version by gloria gaynor.

am sharing only 1 version of “my eyes adored you” which is by the jersey boys from las vegas.

i know those who would click on the links i shared will definitely enjoy the musical journey.
how i hope we can all watch the jersey boys in vegas, one of the longest running musicals
and peepz who’ve seen it still go and watch again and again.

MY EYES ADORED YOU – the jersey boys (las vegas)
http://youtu.be/q2RVJB08pMk

My eyes adored you
Though I never laid a hand on you
My eyes adored you.
Like a million miles away
From me you couldn’t see
How I adored you
So close, so close and yet so far.

Headed for city lights
Climbed the ladder up to fortune and fame
I worked my fingers to the bone
Made myself a name

Funny, I seem to find that
No matter how the years unwind
Still I reminisce about the girl miss
And the love I left behind

My eyes adored you
Though I never laid a hand on you
My eyes adored you
Like a million miles away
From me you couldn’t see
How I adored you
So close, so close and yet so far.

Yung Nescafe ad ba TVC talaga or sitummercial? In character sila as Ser Chief and Maya?

Haily PorcionculaHere in Dubai almost every pinoys watching it, nakakawala ng pagod pag ka galing sa trabaho….so if youre plan is to end this great tv series soon, better think again. and also do they really have to type it all after watching it…coz its annoying and no ones reading it.. its just crazy.

..It’s a Nescafe intrusion, accdg to trish coronado, jsm’s stylist.

MORE! MORE! MORE PA!

Hot WasabiHello Haily,
FYI. It is actually not crazy. I read such summaries, too. Not only Pinoys watch the show, foreigners do too. Moreover, there are Filipinos, like Dennis above, who were born outside of the Philippines and have limited Tagalog proficiency. Hence, the long summary, that you are referring to, benefits people like him.
If you don’t want to read it, just simply, skip it. There’s no need to belittle and disregard the effort of those who put the time and energy and talent into writing the summary so that others can enjoy the show, as well. Kunting respeto lang naman.
Peace, Haily.

para iwas nose-bleed hinanap ko to:

Si sis Koffie natawa, ako natuwa

ELOISA DELLOSAI actually am impressed by the writers of this forum. They really make me proud knowing that some Filipinos actually are good writers in their own way, and poets, too! When BCWMH ends, I will surely miss these comments which I look forward to reading everyday. Thank you, Hot Wasabi, Winnie, Sukiyaki and the others. I wish I can also write as good as you guys!!

WALA AKONG PAKIALAM!” Enebeee! Wala na nga ba talagang pakialam kaya all out na?

Ang saya naman tumira sa San Nicholas. Kahit pamamanhikan pa lang daig pa fiesta.

Sooooo excited to see SC na lasing.

Hot WasabiHi Eloisa,
Let me tell you a secret. I also thought like you…….that I didn’t know how to write. But someone in this forum, by the name of Tee Pee, encouraged me to keep on writing my insights. Then Winnie O challenged me to start my own post. I merely started this as a creative writing experimentation. I thought that this forum will serve as my “safe” laboratory to this experimentation. From May to the present, I have not skipped (knock on wood), writing something to contribute to our page. I actually surprised myself. Apparently I happily discovered that I actually have the ability to express my humble thoughts into the written word. And it is because of online friends like YOU, who found the time to encouraged ME, to just keep on contributing to the forum. It started with a mere sentence, which expanded to three sentences. Then it stretched into a couple of paragraphs and sometimes four. But that was all it took.

So, Haily, this forum is to blame for my lengthy commentaries. Hahaha. Because they “egged” me on to continue what I do, it somehow gave me the courage to keep on writing.

M&Ms, (Cecilia & Eloisa)
I am glad to hear that you appreciate what we contribute to this forum. It touches my heart to know that there are a few of you who actually take the time to read through what we write and appreciate the effort that went into composing it.
I bet YOU can also do what we do. Just start small and you just might surprise what your fingers will lead you to do. Hahaha.

For today’s episode, pinakagusto ko yung bintana scene.

Sukiyaki 616Hail Haily, how sad that you have to add a commentary that was totally uncalled for. We fan-addicts enjoy watching the episodes and share our opinions thereafter, in whatever format we please. Everyone is welcome to post one or two liners but we enjoy reading those that also share more insights and personal asides. I for one enjoy writing my poems in English and Tagalog and at times I write mini-scripts. Like the others, I do these out of pure love for the show. If my contribution makes one person smile, laugh or cry, then it makes all that hard work and time I put in all worthwhile. You are welcome to read the daily posts by the same token, you are welcome to skip those you don’t care to read. This reminds me of a Pinoy joke: haily, haily, bago keri.

I dunno if I find it awkward na, na Maya still calls SC ‘Ser Chief’ o gusto ko lang ipush na ‘Richard’ na lang din ang itawag nya para F na F!

Parang napaka klarong tuba yon… parang tubig lang. At wala akong masabi sa pulutan… rambutan ba yon?

Hot Wasabi“THE CONTAGIOUS BUG”

Love is contagious and like an infectious disease, it is spreading like an epidemic of the benevolent kind. Likened to a concentric circle, the “love bug” emanates from its core with Richard and Maya, who subsequently infect their respective family members, who in turn spread the same feelings of unconditional positive regard to those people surrounding them, like the housekeeters and the whole neighborhood of San Nicolas. It is what fuels the “bayanihan” spirit and the “kapit bisig” concept which the whole neighborhood has openly embraced and expressed in celebration of their hometown celebrity, their first ever flight attendant their hometown has produced, and the first one from their hometown to marry into a family with means. Everyone is joining in the celebration the good fortune that the Dela Rosas is experiencing and applauding the love our main characters share.

Like busy bees, under the direction of Commander Simon, the entire neighborhood prepares a feast worthy of a dignitary. The men erect a temporary dining area made out of bamboo, decorated with ribbons and skirted with coconut palms. The women prepare a variety of food and delicacies and proudly display them on the table like the harvest’s bounty. In one corner, a neighbor intently man’s his post as he roasts the suckling pig for the table’s centerpiece. How wonderful it must be to be in the middle such an organized commotion, participating in the whirl of activities and enjoying the cacophony of sounds and the olfactory sensory overload caused by the delectable offerings from the oversized vats with stewed meat and vegetables, the enormous woks laden with pancit and the roasting pit sizzling with the fat melting from the skewered porcine.

I felt myself caught up in the moment hence I could not help but be reminded of the lyrics to the song “Love is in the Air”, wherein I changed the lyrics to the third stanza to suit the occasion.

Love is in the air
Everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
Every sight and every sound

And I don’t know if I’m being foolish
Don’t know if I’m being wise
But it’s something that I must believe in
And it’s there when I look in your eyes

Love is in the air
In the family whom I love
Love is in the air
Even neighbors keeping tab

And I don’t know if I’m just dreaming
Don’t know if I feel sane
But it’s something that I must believe in
And it’s there when you call out my name

Love is in the air
In the rising of the sun
Love is in the air
When the day is nearly done

And I don’t know if you’re an illusion
Don’t know if I see it true
But you’re something that I must believe in
And you’re there when I reach out for you

BCWMH writers invite us to join in the celebration of Richard and Maya’s love and their formal engagement. Let us savor this moment and not worry about tomorrow and what it brings. The present is a gift we can all give to ourselves. Cheers everyone!!

GIF Animation Viewer - GIFMaker.me

Yes, pinapahaba ang BCWMH but it’s done creatively. Wala namang masama if iextend sya kasi may clamor pa di ba? I must admit may flaws ang show pero sa ganda nito overall, patatawarin ko na yung mga lapses. Yes, meron na ring mga nagsawa na. It’s part of any show’s lifecycle. It’s called audience fatigue. Pero what’s good about the show is may solid fanbase ito. Kaya nga ang ratings, whether GV man ang epi o hindi, usually guaranteed na at least nasa 20+. It’s a way of life na.

Sukiyaki 616Hot Wasabi, in just two short paragraphs you captured the whole festive celebration. On top of that your description of the food preparation makes me so hungry for some delicious Filipino food, if not for my self-imposed strict diet of salad, I will surely be eating lechon kawali and crispy pata tomorrow. Your song choice is one of my faves from the 80s. Love is indeed in the air.

Ang cute ng episode episode today. Simon is so nice na nakakapanghinayang rin na di makatuluyan ni Maya so sana matuloy na rin yung sa kanila ng friend ni Maya.
Read somewhere about SC and Maya’s TVC, can somebody please upload it here. PLEASE! And i would be one of the happiest if ever there is a truth that JSM and JR would call it quits.
‘Can’t wait for the episode tomorrow and how funny, si Boss Gabby pala e super fan ng dalawa at todo ang promote sa tweeter nya. I guess the SC-Maya fever rubbed on everyone.
regards to everyone here sa thread.

Winnie R Ontiveros
The Lims looked at the pictures at the van on the way to the De la Rosa’s. When they arrived, the entire “barangay” welcomed them headed by Simon. (The ever-faithful sweet Simon) Maya and the family are still getting ready upstairs. Lino knocks at the door of their room to let them know that the Lims have arrived. Nay T, Kute and Maya looked out their window. Downstairs, they see Simon showing them Kute’s Little Pards Chibugan. Abby sees Maya and the rest looking out the window from upstairs. She screams in excitement. Everyone waved at each other. Richard looked up and by his reaction; he had seen only one person that is Maya. He couldn’t get his eyes off of her. (And he is so daggone handsome gaaaaaaa!) Nikki sees this and said that it is just like in the movies. She egged her father to serenade Maya. Everyone reacted to her suggestion. Maya was staring also at Richard. Their eyes were glued to one another. Kute asked Maya, “Are you two just going to stare at each other all night? What did I get ready for then?” That seemed to wake up Maya and the family retreated to the living room to meet their company. The De la Rosas line up on one side and the Lims on the other side. Mamang breaks the silence and greets Esmeralda. Dona E distributed the gifts that she bought for everyone. After that, she showed the pictures they took at the park starting with Mamang with her chicken drumstick. They all laughed at the pictures and admired one another. These two families have indeed bonded. (I have to agree with Hot Wasabi….It is sad that in this special time, Manang Fe is not part of the pamamanhikan. After all, she played a big role in Richard and Maya’s love story. Maybe they might make her be one of the sponsors at the wedding. I hope the creative team is watching.)

At the mansion, Manang Fe, Doris, Sabel and Joma eat their dinner but their minds were busy wondering about what is going on in San Nicolas. They are too excited just thinking about it. As usual Doris and Sabel are arguing about something. Joma tried to referee them but only Manang Fe could make them stop. Suddenly, the phone rings and when Manang Fe answered it was somebody who wanted to be phone pals. She yelled at the caller. The others laugh at her being grouchy. Ha ha

At the dinner table, Dona E tells Nay T that Maya is right. Her Kare-kare is delicious. Nay T thanked her kindness. Don Roberto asked who cooked the adobo. Mamang claimed that dish. However, Kute told Don Roberto that isn’t adobo. It is steak and everyone looked at Maya. (ha ha…Maya, you will never live to see the end of that. LOL) The family talk about the wedding. Dona E asked Maya when they thought they would like the wedding to take place? Nay T told her that Maya still has to finish her first year at Time Airways until she is permanent. Dona E tried to figure out how long that will be and thought that the wedding could take place sometime in May. Mamang thought that it might be still too hot in May. She thought it would be better for Maya to be a June bride. Mamang asked Dona E if they want the wedding to take place in San Nicolas? Dona E said yes. Nay T wondered what they were going to do with the visitors that are from Manila? Dona E said that they shouldn’t worry about it because Don Roberto can fly them all to San Nicolas (Wow! That is a disgusting display of wealth Dona E.) Mamang said that she wants Maya to wear her wedding dress. Dona E said that is great then she already has something old. Kute pipes in and said the dress really is old. Then Mamang and Dona E suggested the color motif to be green. At this time Richard had to remind them that this wedding is Maya’s and that she should be the one to plan it the way she wanted the wedding to be. The two matriarchs stopped talking. Maya interjected and said that she would want the whole family to plan the wedding as in “Kapit-bisig” (linking arms in solidarity.)

Winnie R OntiverosWhile everyone eats upstairs, downstairs Simon systematically dishes out the food to feed the “barangay” making sure everyone has enough to eat. (Another Filipino tradition.)

After dinner, they sent the kids downstairs so the family could sit in the living room and have their conversation. With everyone situated, Richard and Maya hold hands and sit next to each other. (I have to say that it is so nice to see Maya wearing a simple provincial dress, not shorts and tee shirt, not pants and blouse. A simple dress and Richard in his papaya colored shirt. They sit next to each other and already I am “kilig” and then Richard talks on behalf of both of them. This is truly a great Filipino tradition that us here in the US do not experience anymore.) “I’d like to make everything formal. Mamang, Chris, Nay…I’d like to ask for your daughter’s hand in marriage.” Richard said. “Yes Richard. I am willingly giving you my daughter.” Nay T replied, eyes welling up. Richard said thank you and he stood up and “Mano” (blessing) Mamang and Nanay T’s hand and hugged Kute. Maya got teary eyed over Richard’s gesture. The Lims are so proud of their son. (And to think this is their first time doing this with Richard because they were not present at Alex and Richard’s engagement.) Kute finally suggested to talk about the wedding to include the bride and the groom. Everyone laughed. They asked Maya and Richard what they had in mind. Maya told them again that she wanted the family to jointly plan the details of the wedding. Richard mentioned they thought they would have it in May. (Weeeeee, does that mean we have to wait until then to see yall get married? I am ok with that as long as the show does not end or maybe yall are going to get married in the movie?????Waaaaa!)

Both families finally come downstairs to join the crowd. Everyone clapped as they descend from the house. Simon and Lino invited Don R and Richard to their drinking table while the women were led to another reception table. The men were drinking “Tuba”. (Tuba is a coconut wine \a wine made from the sweet and frothy sap of coconut stalk. Tuba juice is produced by lopping off the tip of newly sprouting stalk of coconut flower that allows the sap to ooze out and drip. The sap is collected by allowing it to drip into an edged tool. Unblended sap of tuba juice is milky in color and tastes sweet when freshly gathered from the coconut tree.) At first Richard didn’t want to drink but Don Roberto and Simon urged him. They all had a toast “tagay” in Tagalog. (I thought Bugoy promised he wasn’t going to drink anymore? And It would have been more fun if Pards were with them ha ha)

Meanwhile the young ones were busy hanging out with the young crowd whom Nikki and Luke met when they came last New Year. The boys were “aligaga” over Nikki asking her if she needed anything. They are all willing to fetch it for her. However, Nikki wanted to take pictures instead. Luke volunteered to take it. Everyone gathered around including Abby and Cho. While Luke backed up to take the picture he backed into Tintin and accidentally stepped on her. Luke was so sorry and took a chair to help her sit down. Seeing that Luke was frantic over Tintin, the guys tease him and told him that he would be in trouble with her parents for hurting her. Luke hurried up and got some ice. Tintin told Nikki she’s fine.

ISANG SIGN NA LANG TALAGA, BOOM NA BOOM NA TOH!

Gusto ko lang po i share how much this thread makes my day. I started lurking just to keep myself updated with the recent news about BCWMH but i must say that i enjoy reading your posts, assumptions, illusions and videos. This is such a fun group dahil puro good vibes lang though minsan we tried to magnify our illusions between the two main characters still it’s done in good taste . I am such a happy lurker and keep the spirit alive because it really brings smile to those who reads . Good day to everyone.

Ako din, I used to be a lurker, hanggang sa di ko na natiis makipag interact with these funny, kind and warm people!  Thank you sa nice words

Yieeeeeeeh! Pare-parehas talaga utak ng mga adiks! Oyyyy Maya aba sinasabi ko sayo, lasing pa yaaan!!! Gusto mo ba? Handa na ba kami sa SPG rating?.

Hindi lang basta lasing… Nakakain pa ng maanghang na sopas!

Winnie R OntiverosAt the men’s table, Don R talked to Simon, Lino and Bugoy and asked them where are their girlfriends? The three had to admit they do not have a significant other just yet. Richard told them not to worry that eventually she would come to their lives. (Yep Richard knows that all too well. Afterall, he took Maya from both Simon and Lino and actually even Bugoy has a crush on Maya ha ha. This is the table of the “sawi sa pagibig” boys {the unlucky in love}) Don R gives them an advice that if and when they find their lucky lady, they must treat her well. Lino tells Don R that if he finds the woman of his dreams, he will straighten up his act. Simon tells him he will remember that. Everyone laughs and Richard keeps asking Bugoy to give him more shots. (Uh oh….Richard is enjoying this drinking table much too much.) Don R said that is good to hear because he said there is nothing better than getting old with the one you love and he looks over at Dona E from the other table and raises his glass. Richard salutes to that and raises his glass. Everyone takes a shot. (Waaaaa! Richard is getting drunk. The CEO, millionaire, loosens up!)

Next Time on BCWMH

Kute tells Maya and Richard that she is happy that the two found each other. She knows that Richard would take care of Maya. And that is why she welcomes Richard to the family and to the entire San Nicolas. Everyone claps for the couple. Don R is out of sorts and being helped by Dona E. Richard is so chinky eyed tipsy over the “Tuba” trying to dance with Maya while she covers her face embarrassed over Richard (ha ha He’s so cute drunk like Maya when she was drunk.) Upstairs, Dona E was yelling at both her husband and son telling them they shouldn’t be drinking if they couldn’t handle it. Maya and the rest of them were giggling laughing at the two. Richard points at his Dad insinuating Don R is drunk but he isn’t. Kute gives Richard a soup concoction antidote to Richard’s drunken stupor. He takes a spoonful and almost spits it back out. He asks Kute what is it? Kute tells him it is “sopas na may dinikdik na sili.” (Soup with pulverized or minced pepper much like what Raffy likes ha ha)

#HotNaHot

Good evening mga sis, classmates at fellow adiks. Tapos ng manood at mag-backread. What can I say, the bintana scene ang favorite ko sa episode today. Parang feeling ko melted-coco-jam-ako-matapos-i-microwave-at-ihalo-sa-suman-sa-lihiya ako sa titigan sa bintana. Heartwarming din ang pamamanhikan with matching super holding hands. I love the teaser for tomorrow, especially the kissing-kahit-amoy-alak part.

Got curious with the Nescafe commercial mentioned earlier, binalikan ko tuloy iyong mga commercial sa second panood ko ng episode today. Like it and love the veranda scene!

GIF Animation Viewer - GIFMaker.me

Sis Jeep, I tried looking for your sister too. Nandoon ba siya sa harap ng Chibugan scene, when Maya and her family returned from the most romantic place?

Hot WasabiHello Win,
I love your summation for today’s episode. It even includes some tidbits on how the socio-political system is organized at the very bottom of the organizational tree. How sensitive of you to include this aspect for the benefit of those who are not familiar with our culture.

As you mentioned, it would have been really nice to have Manang Fe be a part of this whole scene in San Nicolas, instead of her, waiting for a phone call to keep her abreast on what is happening there. She is visibly on tenterhooks and cannot wait to find out exactly what is going on, prompting her to be short with the ill-timed “phone pal” call. Ha ha ha.

Thanks again for sharing your skills and talents in giving us the thorough break down, in words, as to the events that transpired in this episode. So much going on, I felt like joining in with the preparation and the celebration along with the whole neighborhood too. Frankly, I wanted to have a taste of that “malutong na malutong” na suckling roast pig skin. Ha ha ha. My weakness!!

Pisikalan…

Gantihan…

Kalabitan?!?

WHAT’S NEXT, SER CHIEF AND MAYA????

#BringItOn

WALA AKONG PAKIALAM!” Enebeee! Wala na nga ba talagang pakialam kaya all out na?

Hi! I’m no longer a lurker  After months of being hooked with the good vibes and uber kiligserye I could no longer resist my urge to share my thoughts especially regarding tomorrow’s teaser. This show definitely changed my attitude towards Philippine television. Kudos to all the writers, staff, crew and actors who breathe life into these wonderful story. Can’t wait for movie and of the course Maya and Sir Chief’s married life so we can have more kilig and kalabitan moments

Sukiyaki 616Hi Winnie, you are right I should have been using the term “barangay” which I have totally forgotten. Maybe it is because when they formed barangays I was no longer in the Philippines nor was I born during the time of Lapu Lapu!!

I have this song for you:

Don’t go changing, to try and please SOME
You never let THE OTHERS down before
Don’t imagine THEY’RE too familiar
‘CAUSE WE’VE NOT SEEN THEM BEFORE
WE would not leave you in times of trouble
NOW THAT WE’VE come this far
WE took the good times, WE’LL take the bad times
I’LL LOVE you just the way you are

Ang saya naman tumira sa San Nicholas. Kahit pamamanhikan pa lang daig pa fiesta

Sooooo excited to see SC na lasing.

#Naughtynaughtyme

Gasgas sakin these parts sa teaser promise!!! Level up na talaga ang relasyon nina… ah basta sila!

Now watching the episode today pero panalo sa kabagalan ang net ko kaya baka good mornight ang mangayari sa akin

Normita BaisasAnother beautiful episode!! Funny, dramatic and romantic rolled into one. The best kayo talaga!! You showcased the very finest Filipino values and traditions…

Ako rin talagang na B-BV sa majority ng Pinoy teleserye……………pero BCWMH made me feel proud of what PINoys can do if gugustuhin

This is actually the 3rd teleserye na I got hooked pero BCWMH ang pinaka LOVE ko

Gusto ko rin to for Jodi, yung tipong SC nga. Ever since kasi parang problematic yung mga naging life partner niya. She and Thirdy deserves better.

DENNIS VILLACORTEImagine if all marriages were like this. Heaven. I couldn’t keep my eyes dry when Richard formally asked for Maya’s hand from Nanay Teresita. May God open all of our hearts to bayanihan and love for one another.

These simple gestures really makes BCWMH so endearing, as in tumatagos talaga sa puso kaya lalong nakakaadik. Sana yung next volume ng DVDs may konting BTS because for sure mas kapanapanabik ang mga eksena. Sa sobrang effective nila I sometimes forget na di naman talaga niya anak sila Jerome, Janella and Mutya pero ang father-children relationship katouch talaga.

Last Sept 3, may nagsabi sa’kin na corny daw ang favorite show natin. Pasalamat siya importante yung day na yun for the adiks kung hindi…

Sometimes, these nega people just have to watch the show para mas ma-appreciate nila. Hindi lang kasi nasa kaboom moments ang magic, it’s in every scene.
Ang mother ko, minsan nagnenega rin yan sa BCWMH pero pag napapanuod nya or pinakukwento sa kin ang story to fix yung loopholes sa plot na huli nyang alam, she appreciates it naman.

Sis cyber, iyong iba ko nga officemates na guys, nagulat ako, they are also watching it. Kasing updated ko sila! First time ko nanoood, hooked talaga ako, from around 10PM to past 5AM yata ang inabot ko, two DVDs kaagad ang natapos ko. And I was not the same since then!

LOVE is in the air talaga!!! The romantic love between SC and Maya, the love between SC and Nikki as she was showing the music video. The love of family as evident in the two families coming together. The love of a devoted friend in Simon, as he busied himself preparing and taking care of all the guests. And the love of everyone coming together not just for the celebration, but coming together to set up the place, to cook and to welcome the Lim’s. This is what I miss the most….The BAYANIHAN Spirit!!!!! Kakaiyak!!!! Haaaayyyyy!!!

Once again BCWMH, you continue to inspire us to be better and to never forget our core…and that is to love at all cost….

Thank God the bantay wasn’t there naman…
mukhang okay naman yung dalawa, although it was Sir who stayed very long…

with Mamang, you will definitely cry…
I have a feeling bukas pagtatapos ng pamamanhikan
sana may paninilbihan…

No Holds Barred kaya RY? All I can say is, mas effective ngayon ang pisikalan!!!

aaaa_web-large_medium

#LakasTalagaNgDatingNgLepsNiSC

Sis mared, looking forward to seeing this scene. I agree with you, pwede namang ‘Richard’, lagyan lang ng matching lambing. Then, interperse it with ‘Ser Chief’ na lang.

Re

#RichardorRichard#

Hot WasabiHi Suki,
Yes, the cat is out of the bag and it sort of puts a damper on the blissful pamamanhikan. But be that as it may, it effectively allows us the time to prepare our hearts for Mamang’s leaving. There is a season for everything, after all. This will just be another opportunity for the writers to display another Pinoy custom and tradition that deals with like matters. This is what I love about this story. It showcases how ordinary Pinoys deal with the circumstances that come in their lives, planned or unplanned. It brings about that beautiful indomitable spirit that helps to muster whatever challenges come about.

Another excellently coined poem. Talagang hangang hanga ako sa iyo. Ang galing galing mo. At ang dami ko nang natutunan na Tagalog words from you. You edify and challenge me, at the same time. Thank you, sis.

No offense to the fans ha. It’s not all about the stars lang naman kasi eh. Like BCWMH, di naman nila kinailangan ang biggest stars in the industry to make it last for more than a year.

Me too!  Mayaaaa!

Linda BernardoBayanihan is alive and well during the preparation sa pamanhikan. The neighbors donated sahog sa handa, even panggatong, help in the cooking, set up the reception area. Most importantly they are part of the celebration. The town folks demonstrated solidarity and all are happy for Maya.

I am as thrilled as Nikki seeing the lovebirds staring at each other as if frozen in time………. ” I like to ask for your daughter’s hands in marriage”…. that does for me….suuuuuuppppppeeeeerrrr kilig me. I loved SC much more when he make “mano” to Mamang and Nanay Teresita.

The two families are interacting as one big happy family. Don Roberto liked the adobo but Kute ‘playfully said it is not abodo he is eating but a steak which Maya is famous for pun intended.

At the “teaser” Kute fed SC soup with diced chili. In much earlier episode, there was a thingie with Rafi putting chili in one of SC food as a joke which was a big deal then……. I wonder how it will play this time with his “future in law”. Let us wait and see on next episode.

That smile…. gosh!!

Sweet yet more mature pakinggan kesa sa buko/biko/chieko

Ay ako din, gusto ko yang mahal! awwww can we suggest this or something?

I’ll drink to that!! – SC (on kasama mo mahal mo hanggang sa pagtanda)

SC, didn’t you know that you are supposed to spit the tuba after you taste it??? (Ms. Pacheco mode)

#AwkwardAkoNaSiSimonAngPunongAbala

What will happen pag di naspit? ako ng walang alam!

Pumili ka sis:
a. “Maya, parang ang sakit din ng ulo ko!”
b. Painumin siya ng sabaw na may sili ni Kute
c. Puting Kumot na at sundan agad-agad ng kasal

Aba. Boom Karakaraka, wala ng patumpik-tumpik pa, letter C!!!

…true that. even sa fans na nagpapapics very acccommodating daw. Baka naman ang motto nya ay “kill him with kindness.” I sincerely like her.

#IbangUsapanPagSaPU

Actually, I admire her! Sabi nga nila, behind the success of every man is a woman! For RY, I guess, it’s her. Being a fangirl though of RY and JSM, as well as BCWMH, di ko lang matanggap!!!

I admire her too.

May something old na si maya, ano kaya yung magiging something new, something blue and something borrowed?

old – gown

new – shoes

borrowed – jewelry

blue – garter

Umeksena din yang binatana nung first time pumunta sa SN sina SC. Yung may kinukuha sya sa trunk tapos napatingala sya at kita nya nakasilip si Maya

Lucy Anne O’CarrollAng ganda at ang saya ng “Classic style” na pamanhikan….its a touching Filipino tradition…..dito lang makikita s BCWMH….thumbs up mga writers…..C SC at DR nalasing….lol…exciting na naman tomorrow…..the other side of SC.

Jo EWhat a great show. It’s so nice to see Filipino customs as Pamamanhikan depicted in the show. Nakaka miss ang simpleng buhay sa probinsiya. Neighbors help each other and celebrate as one. I feel nostalgic and miss the way of life in the Phil.
BCWMH is doing a great job of reminding us the good things about our country and being a Filipino, our culture and family values and tradition.
Lots of lessons can be learned by our children born and raised in a foreign land from this show. Thank you BCWMH team.

Naalala nyo ba yung song na “Maginoo Pero Medyo Bastos”?

Si SC naman, “Maginoo Pero Medyo Bantot”

Si Inigo, “Maginoo Pero Medyo Bansot”

Sige, si DR ano?

“Maginoo Pero Medyo Panot”

#GoodCleanFun

Super kilig ang mga episodes lately kaya naman super laki na rin ng eyebags ko dahil I get up here at 12:45 midnight (soon as it gets uploaded sa TFC now )just to have a glimpse of the episode. Cute ni Sir Chief, as the show progresses, sya na yung super adik kay Maya. His gestures toward Maya are so kilig.

Hay, mga fellow adiks, except for the reported exit of Mamang’s character sa show, ang saya lang lately kasi puro GV.

I am also glad to know na mukhang kasadong-kasado na at wala nang bawian ang Book 2. More of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Lim moments!

Since I love the show so much, di ako kuntento na basta extended lang siya. Ayokong mabalewala ang naipundar nila. Gusto ko yung talagang pinag-isipan. Better siguro if parang yung mga series-type sya na seasonal para may clear theme per season and may short breaks for the people behind the show. In this way, medyo makakaiwas rin sila na maumay ang audience and na mapagbintangan sila na wala nang istorya. Mas makakahinga rin ang lahat and that would give them a refreshed mind to plan for the show. Sana every time they extend, clear sa kanila how they would like the story of the season to go and give it a good ending- both pang-season finale and pang-conclude ng show just in case they won’t come back for another season. More or less, they should also have an idea how they would like the next two seasons to run para ma-establish na sa plot ng current season. If I were them, it’s always best to set a finale date for the show then just announce extensions if meron.

Winnie R OntiverosI agree with you. It is such a heart warming depiction of the traditions that we have in the Philippines. I love seeing the gathering downstairs where the bagets were with other bagets. The women together and then the men at the drinking table with the Sawi sa Pagibig boys…ha ha And the creative is treating us to seeing the Millionaire CEO get drunk and out of control. Buti na lang Mayabels is there and his Momma to help him and Don R ha ha. Nakakatawa kaya.

GIF Animation Viewer - GIFMaker.me

Ang panget kasi na they don’t announce a date tapos pag bigla nilang tinapos, mag-speculate ang tao.

Sooo excited with the upcoming ‘damoves’ of this show!

Good mornight!!!

I get so pissed off with reporters na nagsasabing pinapahaba lang ang BCWMH . Shut up please. Yup i am now a certified addict. So addicted that i even start buying all the Penguins shirts at store and asked my husband na yun na ang gusto kong shirt para sa kanya.

If ever we are nearing the end of the first book sana ibuhos na ni SC at Maya ang lahat ng passion para me pabaon sa atin while we are waiting for the movie and the next book.

Ang alam ko sis they wouldn’t stop taping just to shoot the movie. Pagsasabayin daw. Yun sabi ni RY at JSM dati. Mahirap man but I think they should and they can. Come to think of it, a lot of the actors with MMFF entries this year also have regular series and daily shows (KathNiel, Vic Sotto, Ryzza Mae, Rocco Nacino etc.).

Besides, if nearing na ang end ng Book 1 kasi start na ng movie shoot, 1 month from now na lang yun so dapat di ba heavy promotion na on the finale, similar to what they are doing for Muling Buksan Ang Puso? So I guess, they will stick sa orig plan na until early December pa ang Book 1. In fact, lagi nga nilang ineemphasize na mas busy sila kasi yung taping rest days nila, they will spend na in doing the film.

And I like how NT, Mamang and Cho look on the couple…

Hi, CyberOwl!
Here’s one: that part where SC is sleeping in & the kids go up anyway to kiss him goodbye…so many commented na para siyang kwan…ano…ummm…parang nauna na siya kay Mamang. I think that’s what the late Mrs. Yap might have taught him. Kasi now that they’re in SN, when DE barged in to wake everyone up at 6am, he was sleeping with his two girls crowding him but he was still pretty much in his necro-pose. Also, when he slept in Abby’s room to wait with Maya for the then mute Abby to speak, he was on a chair pero para siyang kwan…ano…ummm…yung kwan na nakasakay sa gurney papunta doon sa kwan…yung malamig na room sa basement ng hospital. Also, when they were on their way out of town & Maya was nodding off in the passenger seat beside him, he was trying to prop her head up to stay put facing straight ahead without pillows or anything to keep her head there. When I’m driving & my companion is dangerously nodding while asleep, I try to put the head sideways against the headrest…para may props.

Baka yung mama rin ni RY ang nagturo kay Dr. VBelo that everyone should sleep like a corpse to prevent facial sagging. As you can see, it’s very effective kasi wala pa tayong nakikita ng wrinkles or unsightly sagging on SC’s face despite almost nightly puyat sessions…sometimes almost 24 hrs duty, daig pa medical resident. Si Doctora late na narinig yung lesson kaya…meron na before she adopted the technique siguro.

Kakaibang Jodi Sta.

Sagot ni Jodi, “If others feel that way, wala naman tayong magagawa. We cannot please everybody.

“But we’re still getting good feedback galing sa ating mga audience, so we’re thankful.

“And as long as gusto pa tayo ng tao, ibibigay natin kung ano ang gusto nila.”

I really can’t, don’t want to spill the beans right now,” pahayag niya.

“PASS MUNA.”

“Puwede bang pass?” sabi niya, may halong biro.
hahaha! binura ko na yung last paragraph. pang bad vibes eh!
source: Pep.ph – the movie is not the ending of Ser Chief and Maya’s love story.

FLASHBACK<<<<<<< REWIND

VOLUME 26

303  Date Aired: September 10, 2013….Kapag nasobrahan, mas panalo ba lambingan?

GIF Animation Viewer - GIFMaker.me

— Maya and Richard, gayahin nyo sina Roberto at Esmeralda, nag-aaway sila at kung anu-ano pa, pero matatag sila, magkasama pa rin sila.

Speech din si Abby…

SaLoves GemAnother roller coaster feeling ang episode today….full of hilarious scenes especially coming from our beloved Ser Chief…First: sa text niya kina Dorbel and it goes like this “Doris, Sabel, Joma and Mana Fe “the pamamamamanhikan was gret nagpa-part ngayon” then Manang Fe complains kung bakit mali-mali ang text ni Ricardo and Joma thinks since their having a party kaya nagte-text si SC habang sumasayaw LOL!!! Second: when Kute asked SC kung okay lang siya…and Richard said “Yes i’m ok, i’m great, i’m happy, i’m overwhelmed, i’m thrilled (not sure kung yun nga ang sabi niya) to see everybody here it’s one of the happiest nights of my life (Note: Ser Chief said…ONE of his happiest nights ang Pamamanhikan niya kay Maya…pero sa amin mga ka-adiks mas sobrang happy ang gabi namin sa inaabangan na Wedding Night and Honeymoon mo tignan namin kung hanggang saan ang happiest (to the highest level ang mangyayari sa inyo ni Maya dun LOL!!!)… soooo i’m happy, i’m okay, i’m great “(si Ser Chief parang sirang plaka na peg niya dito!). Third: Lasing na si SC at pilit niyang sinayaw si Maya sobrang nakakatawa ang facial expression niya na may halong pouting lips pa at may pahawi pa sa buhok ni Maya tapos ang singkit niyang mata nagmistulang butas na naman ng alkansya LOL!!! (I don’t know pero ang landi ni Richard Lim dito …he is soooo endearing).

Lasheeeng na talaga si SC, sway-sway na sya paglapit kay Kute to hug her after her speech.

Nikki is singing, Just Give Me a Reason, kaya pala magkakaroon ng sayawan… tapos na ang shayawan.

Hot WasabiHi SLG,
I love your comments and your review of this episode. It is full of kiligness. Totoo nga, Richard was cute in this episode. And my favorite scene is when he also tried to feign a headache so that he can gain Maya’s sympathy. Hahaha.
Greatly written post and so easy to read. Fun! Fun! Fun!

SC told kute, he is worried daw kasi he forced Maya to dance with him in front of many people… sabi ni kute, okay lang daw, epekto daw ng tuba, lumakas loob nya.

Zel MSALAMAT

Today’s episode has been a smorgasbord of emotions – hilarious, “kilig”, heartwarming, feel good, nostalgic with that hint of “kurot sa puso”. The cast must be having a blast that it showed and radiated into their facial expressions genuinely and naturally. But Kute’s standing and giving thanks to Richard, appreciating him for the things he had done and the things that he will do moving forward inspired me to focus on one positive attitude… the attitude of gratitude. Perhaps this is the creative team’s gentle reminder of the importance of or the power behind expressing heartfelt gratitude for the many blessings in life that we often times overlook and take for granted.

Mr. Wiki explained gratitude, thankfulness, gratefulness, or appreciation as that feeling or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or will receive. As we nurture a grateful attitude, we are more likely to be fun-loving, happy and emotionally strong. And while we’re at it, we should also express our gratitude to God for the blessings He has given us as well as to others for the kind and caring acts they have done and will do.

In today’s episode, I got some inspirations from two songs entitled “Salamat” from two generations of artists – a popular band in the 80’s-90’s era, The Dawn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW-dtFRvFQg) and Yeng Constantino.

Salamat, tayo’y magkasamang muli
Salamat at may gabing nakalaan sa kaunting kasiyahan

As the pamamanhikan came to a successful close, it was time to gather and celebrate as the Lim men joined Lino, Simon and Bugoy at the table and the women situated nearby. Richard, having a little too much to drink conveyed his appreciation, his happiness… thrilled to be with everyone sharing the celebration on the occasion of his pamamanhikan. In the same way, Kute who joined the men’s table and took the opportunity to say and give thanks and appreciation to everybody who joined in the happy event, the Lims knowing they were enjoying their stay in San Nicolas and most especially sending her gratitude to Richard for giving so much importance not only to his family but to Maya’s family as well. With that, she knew her Bunso will be in good hands and that their union will be of bliss and the thought gave her that peace of mind and with gratefulness, openly welcomed Richard into the family and in San Nicolas.

Such heartfelt gesture of appreciation from Kute, prompted Mamang to also share her brand of wisdom and counsel to Richard and her “apo” Maya to emulate the union of DR and DE embodying that of solidarity, love and respect between husband and wife in all the years they had been together and yet keeping that flame of love and always united in facing whatever circumstances they may have encountered, good or bad.

Salamat at tayo’y nagkasamang muli

And while the Dela Rosa’s had been into that appreciative mood, the younger Lims, Nikki and Abby almost simultaneously stood up to share their own thoughts although Nikki opted to waive her chance and gave the floor to her little sister, Abby. Wholeheartedly, Abby took the chance to show her earnest appreciation and love for her Ate Maya who took it upon herself to quench Abby’s thirst for that precious gift of her voice as well as the childhood she had been missing because of her condition and painstakingly nursed and pulled Abby out from the trauma she had been trapped for the last five years. A brave and grateful Abby shared to the crowd how Ate Maya’s never ending story telling about the Mahal na Princesa helped her recover from her inability to speak. And with so much appreciation and love, she ran to her Ate Maya and her Daddy Singkit for that heartwarming and loving hugs.

Inasar ni kute si Mayabels.

Kute: Bunso, I don’t smell good!

Sukiyaki 616Zel, beautifully expressed….I love your tribute to DV and your gentle summons to us to be grateful….they served as prelude to my bucketful of tears tonight. Ako hindi nakaluhod, naka dipa na….how dipa is my luva for you-ah.

Winnie R OntiverosOur story begins with an exciting text from Richard to Doris, Sabel, Joma and Manang Fe. It was a hilarious text because Richard must have sent it when he was beginning to feel tipsy over drinking Tuba with Simon, Lino, Bugoy and his Dad. He misspelled a lot of words and names and it was a funny feat to watch Doris, Sabel and Joma figure out what he was saying. In the end, they figured that the pamamanhikan went well and they are now partying. Joma thought his misspelled words were due to him dancing and texting at the same time. Regardless, Manang Fe jumps for joy for Richard.

Back at the part (y) he he, Kute joins the “Sawi sa Pag-ibig” group, Richard and Don R. They kept taking shots of tuba. Don R is hardly saying anything. He just continues to drink and smile the night away. Kute asks Richard if he is ok. Richard answers with his slurred speech. He said, “I’m ok, I’m great, I’m happy, I’m overwhelmed. I am thrilled to see everybody here. It is one of the best nights of my life so I am happy, I’m great.“ Spoken like a true drunk ha ha…they toast once again. Kute took this time to have a word to everyone present at the gathering. She said she wanted to let out some sentiments. She started by saying, “ First of all, I want to let everyone know that I am very happy that we could all be together here tonight. And of course, I am so happy that it looks like our visitors are having a great time. Right Don Roberto?” Kute and Don R cheered while everyone clapped. Before Kute proceed with the rest of her speech, she asked for Maya to come and sit next to Richard for she wants to address them both together. Then she continued. “I would like to let you know Richard that I am happy because the truth is, I have never met anyone like you who gives importance to family not only for your own but also to the family of the woman you love. Of course, I just want to let you both know that there is a little bit of hurt in my heart because I am going to miss my little sister. However, I am so very happy that you are the one that she has chosen to love. I am happy that the two of you are going to be together because I know that you Richard will never forsake my sister. I know you will faithfully love her and that you will do everything to make her happy. Because of that I am at peace because I know my little sister is in good hands. So having said all that, I want to tell you Richard that you are very much welcome to our family and to the entire San Nicolas.” Cheers!!!!!! Richard gets up and gives Kute a hug. (*Sigh, that was great Kute. I am sure you made not only Richard happy but specially Maya who just quietly sat there absorbing everything.)

After all the cheering, Mamang stood up. She too, would like to say something to Richard and Maya. “Richard and Maya, I would like for both of you to follow the example of Roberto and Esmeralda. They may have arguments and fights but they got through it all because they believed in one another. They have a relationship with solid foundation. No one or nothing could destroy their relationship because they are strong and solid.” Everyone claps and cheers for Mamang’s inspirational advice to Richard and Maya. (Ha ha It really is like they have already gotten married the way everyone reacts to this pamamanhikan. It is so much fun to see.) Don R’s eyes were so chinky from smiling from ear to ear. Mamang continues to tell Maya to follow Esmeralda’s footsteps and Richard to Roberto. Mamang told Richard to copy everything his father did to make his mother happy. Don R is seen mouthing the words “I Love You” to Dona E. She stood up to thank Mamang while everyone clapped.

Lolita PolvorosaI for one is really touch, with the news that mamang will die.Where did you guys know about this sad news?any way what ever happen to mamang the show will go on.
The pamanhikan is really enjoyable to watch, love the scene when SC dance with Maya,he was a bit tipsy as he admitted, but he looks so cute.
Will the wedding plan for SC & Maya is going to happen ? I ask these question because if the family of Maya is in mourning, how could they be happy at the same time? I am just wondering.
What ever happen to the next episode,we viewers will enjoy watching all the time.Good vibes again to every one ,and Kapit bisig lang tayong lahat.

first when kite started to make her speech..( ay baka kute might say something that would hurt maya’s or SC’s felling and magakalabuan)…well it didn’t happen….next..when DR said he feels Hilong hilo..( ay baka ma ER siya and something bad will happend to him) ..oops..not true….third..when luke volunteered to accompany the girl home..(akala ko,baka something will happen to luke on his way home..eh any tagal pa naman dumating si luke)…..oh gosh..ang hirap kaya manood ng ganito..and I didn’t enjoy watching the episode..till the end…I have to watch it again ..oh my friends and family talaga…

Lahat pinagdadaanan.

Hot WasabiHi Suki,
Yes today’s episode is a tribute to Mamang. Being the most extroverted of the family, she is easily the life of the party and the loudest of them all, not just because her role is that of someone who is hard of hearing but because her role just calls her to be. It will be an interesting household sans her presence. I for one look forward to how the writers will keep the GV going in the next episodes.
Thanks for making time to drop into our forum even though it is quite late. Ok lang ang lumuhod basta walang munggo! Hahahahaha.

Ang sad naman ng welcome ko. First day ko pa lang, luha na kaagad ang nalaglag sa akin. It’s for real na, wala nang atrasan.

Hot WasabiINSPIRATIONAL WORDS AND CONCLUDING REMARKS

A formal engagement is generally celebrated with family, friends and well-wishers in attendance. Richard and Maya’s is not an exception. In fact, it was a festive occasion where the entire neighborhood all came out to witness the joy of both families soon to be joined by way of the lover’s desire to become one. As in any formal occasion, speeches are usually given, and this engagement party has a few.

Kute delivers her congratulatory speech for Richard and Maya. Being the sole “male” figure in Maya’s life, her sister, her best friend, and self-appointed guardian, she gives the lovers her heartfelt blessing. She chokes up as she figuratively passes the baton of responsibility that she has volunteered to personally take on in looking after Maya’s welfare since they were young children. She praises and affirms Richard for the good qualities that he possesses which makes him an ideal family man and an exemplary husband to her sister. She proclaims her confidence that Maya is in good hands with him. On the other hand, Richard acknowledges Kute’s request and nods his assent signifying his acceptance of the responsibility she is passing on to him.

Representing the senior citizens in the group, Mamang, the Dela Rosas matriarch, rises to share her words of wisdom to the couple. Actually, she delivers a double message. She implores Richard and Maya, the younger couple, to become willing students and emulate the marriage of the older couple, Don Roberto and Dona Esmeralda declaring the latter’s union to be a model for them to follow. Subliminally, she has ensured that her granddaughter’s place in the Lim family will be secure as she has, with great subtlety, issued a challenge for the senior Lims to instruct, counsel, guide and edify the young couple so that they too can enjoy the same marital bliss that they, in their old age, still share. In so doing, Mamang has effectively passed on the baton of responsibility of taking care of Maya’s future to Roberto and Esmeralda. In other words, Mamang has just cemented Maya’s future with the Lims.

Admirably, Nikki and Abby stand up almost at the same time to also share their sentiments. Nikki gladly gives in to her younger sister. Abby, in all her innocence and in front of a crowd, self-assuredly expresses her love and her appreciation of her former nanny for helping her regain her ability to speak and praises her yaya’s strong determination to help her, as her young charge, reclaim her voice back. She recalls the never-ending fairytale that her yaya shared with her every night and excitedly proclaims that it is finally going to have a happy ending. She honestly wishes her Dad and her Ate Maya her best.

In this episode, the BCWMH writers share with their viewing public the Pinoys’ sincerity in playing their role as the family protector and guardian. That once they commit themselves to do it, they seriously stake their reputation on it. Hence, they usually formally bequeath these familial duties and responsibilities during formal occasions such as during weddings, to the groom and his family. Such matters are also transferred when one has a premonition that death maybe near. Moreover, in this episode, love is at the common thread. It is the main motivation for the characters’ actions. Likewise, love undergirds the Pinoy’s way of doing what they do and why they do it,……………. always!

Sana di masyadong magtagal to. I honestly do not mind having heartwarming and drama scenes in this serye. What I am worried is yung effect nito sa feedback and ratings ng show should the ‘lubog-litaw’ viewers, who are only after kilig, would react negatively. Haay… Basta ako, I trust na maganda ang pagkakaexecute ng actors, creative and prod teams kahit madrama man yan.

#GanyanTalagaAngBuhay

This is a good opportunity para mapakita naman how SC supports Maya pag may family problem.

Kapit bisig pa rin tayo… it’s all part of the show… kahit all out comedy show naman, may mga very sad events din eh… for me, BCWMH portrays true life events so it’s no big deal… let’s now focus on how will SC support Maya on this.

DENNIS VILLACORTEBeautifully expressed, Ate HW. I actually read through the forum before watching the episode just now (perhaps I shouldn’t have), which made me look for signs of Mamang’s impending passing. The clues were subtle, the episode lingering on Mamang more than usual. The final image of Mamang alive is fitting: she is the center of a group hug with the female DeLaRosa’s, ever the matriarch of a family of strong, loving women.

As you said, Ate HW, love is the common thread that will live on even with Mamang’s passing.

Winnie R OntiverosNikki raised her hand and said it’s her turn. Abby stood up at the same time. She too wants to say something. Nikki gave the floor to her sister instead. Abby said, “Hello everyone. I just want to say thank you to Ate Maya. I couldn’t speak before and Ate Maya is always telling me long stories that seemed never ending. She did this so I could learn to talk again. Now the story is about to end because the happy Princess is about to get married and we will all live happily ever after. I love you Ate Maya. I love you Daddy.” Everyone clapped and cheered for Abby while she gave her Ate Maya and Daddy kisses. (Aaawwww sweet angel Abby)

In the next scene, the party continues. Luke strums and guitar and Nikki start to sing for a little entertainment. Lino, all slurred and drunk urges everyone to dance. Don Roberto tried to get up to dance but he could hardly stand up straight. Dona E is behind him helping him up. After some urging Richard and Maya, they stand up to dance. Richard could barely walk. He has this silly grin on his face. His eyes are merely a slit above his nose. Maya tried to tell him to just sit down but he insisted on dancing. He held Maya’s hands and at first made this funky silly side-to-side move that made Maya a bit embarrassed. She said “Ser Chief that is enough. It is embarrassing.” At one point, he puckered up his lips to try to steal a kiss from Maya but she just tried to look the other way. (ha ha I am dying laughing here. Richard you are such a hoot playing drunk) Then he straightened up and weaved his fingers on Maya’s hair and gave her a kiss on the forehead as they continue to dance. (Waaaaaaaa! Super Kkkkiiillliiiggg! I want to be Maya…. Or at least, one of the neighbors in the background….Waaaaa!)

After the song, Tintin said goodbye to the rest of the young ones at their table. She said that she had to leave because she still has a report to finish. The rest of the gang tried to stop her but she insists. When she turned around to leave, Luke stopped her. He wants to walk her home. She said she is fine. But Luke said it is late. She shouldn’t walk home by herself. She had no choice so she left with Luke while the others react. (Aaawww Luke you sure a such a gentleman. I like Tintin better than Angge. I think you and your Dad have the same taste in girls.)

Upstairs, Dona Esmeralda was nagging Don Roberto and Richard because they are both drunk. Maya, Nay T, Kute and Mamang just look on. She asks Don R why he kept on drinking if he couldn’t handle it. Don R looks at Richard and wonders what she is talking about. Him and Richard started to laugh obviously feeding off of each other’s drunken stupor. Dona E scolds Don R telling him that he set a bad example to their son. She was so upset with him she pinched him in his ear (bwahaha this really cracked me up) Suddenly, Don R complained about a headache. Dona E, sat down beside him and held his head on her shoulder to caress it because now he has a headache. Richard sees this and he acted as if his head is hurting too and wanted Maya to do the same thing (ha ha Richard, first the kiss and now pretend headache ha ha) Maya reacted differently. She told him he was bad for allowing his father to drink excessively knowing he is older and has less tolerance for those kinds of things. Richard could see, his plan isn’t going to work. He then told Maya that maybe they should go home. Maya thought that was the best idea. Richard stood up to gather the kids but he could barely stand up straight. Don R is heard in the background saying, “Yall should help him. He’s drunk” (ha ha Don R, and so are you ha ha…This is so much fun ha ha). Kute said she would be the one to get the kids. Richard trying to prove he isn’t drunk followed Kute.

Mamang will surely be missed pero GV pa rin and kapit-bisig!

Tanggap ko na may mga ganung viewers. And most naman natatransform ulit pag balik GV na.

Lea Suetai know many have invested so much watching the show that we adiks already feel like a real family, friends and neighbours to each and every character because we can easily relate to every milestone they experienced and will still experience in this drama but come on stop dictating the tone of the drama just because the flow of the story is not to how you want it to be.

yes it is sad that Mamang had to die especially when the tv series (Book 1 if indeed there is a Book 2 coming after the movie since all are speculations at the moment) is nearing its end. we all have endeared to her character that letting it go is like we have lost a limb or two. we will mourn her passing together with the dela Rosa’s, Lim’s and the whole San Nicholas neighbourhood but then again WE WILL MOVE ON because we Filipinos always do. we don’t let tragedy and loss influenced our lives instead we seek lessons from it. we always soldier on no matter how tough it is and so do the characters in the drama. they are fictional yet they represent each one of us so please don’t belittle what the writers can do to the story and the characters because they know what they are doing. BCWMH has already proven itself for more than a year now. isn’t it a little bit late to give up on the drama? i bet once the reason of the twist unfolds those who had tantrums will surely regret.

Mamang’s death could be the reason to have the wedding earlier as planned if they are going to follow the Chinese tradition of wedding after death or funeral of a parent (or grandparent) of either the bride or groom.

If one of the parents passes away, the bride or groom has to be in mourning, the wedding will either

be conducted within 100 days of the death, or
postponed till 3 years (1000 days) after the death.

from: http://www.chinese-wedding-guide.com…ng-taboos.html

possible conflicts would be:

1. Filipino pamahiin of Sukob clashes with the Chinese tradition. obviously Richard is not going to wait that long to marry Maya lalo na pina express nya ang engagement nila.

2. Maya’s contract with Times Airways although pwede na ring lusutan kasi formality lang ang regularisation nila after 180 days (6 months equivalent) kasi technicality lang naman yung 1 yr proviso not to marry. since naka 4 months na rin si Maya eh pasok sa banga ang within 100 days after death or funeral. in some cases nga 45 days lang.

question is, who would give up and sino masusunod? i hope this will not create big problems for the engaged couple and both families.

CHILL LANG TAYO MGA PWENDS

Naisip ko lang… Aside from DV’s required exit due to her Galema role, hindi kaya the writers took this opportunity para i-exit ang character ni Mamang to make way for Tatay Arturo’s return? Honestly, I can’t imagine na magkasama yung dalawa, and I understand that TA’s return is necessary. In real life, gulo yun at talagang they cannot co-exist. Siguro this is what Sir Jimuel meant when he said naka-plano lahat.

Kateri SDThanks for that info re Chinese tradition of wedding within 100 days after death of parents or grandparents of groom or bride. Gusto ko wedding na so there’s a good chance our couple will get married before they close book 1. can’t wait any longer. I also share your sentiments re fans who want to write the script. There are those who said they’d stop watching the show right here because they don’t like to see Mamang’s character being killed. Well….

Bittersweet ang episode today in light of what was shown in the teaser. The bonding time of the de la Rosas and how happy they were. Tapos todong sadness. I guess BCWMH will show us now how the characters will deal with the lost of a loved one. Malungkot and masakit to lose a loved one but the reality of it is dying is part of living. It is good that Maya has SC in this stage of her life. Like she said in their exchange of e-mails, iba pa rin kapag may katuwang ka. In real life din naman ganoon. Sa tuwa, saya and kilig, we were with SC, Maya and her family, and now sa lungkot din.

Loved Kute’s speech and also Abby’s kahit short. Of course, kilig sa lasing dance scene nina SC and Maya and how he attempted to kiss her the first time with matching pouting of lips in preparation, missed nga lang! The sweet scene when Maya kissed SC, and Kute’s teasing Maya with SC’s statement. SC was cute when he wanted some attention from Maya by saying masakit din ang ulo niya. I also like the scene of DE taking care of DR while he sleeps and SC seeing this tender moment. Sana ganyan rin when we are old na with our loved ones.

JR RHot Wasabi, thanks. Lea Sueta posting has a better insight. Gusto kong possible cultural conflicts. The writers are good at resolving this.

I’m also looking forward how Serchief will help Maya cope with the loss and how they both deal with making Nanay bounce back to life. I think this is where Serchief and Maya will kapit bisig to find her tatay. Daming possible na mangyayari and they’re always realistic. Only those who have just tuned in or occasional viewers will say pinapahaba lang ang story but for us who have invested a lot ot emotions know this isn’t so because SerChief and Maya and their families have already grown into us na naging parti na sila ng day-to-day life natin.

BIPOLAR. Paulit ulit! I find him cute nung…

JR RChinese wedding taboos the bride and groom should observe.
If one of the parents passes away, the bride or groom has to be in mourning, the wedding will either

•be conducted within 100 days of the death, or

•postponed till 3 years (1000 days) after the death.

So what does this mean to SerChief and Maya? Wedding within 100 days na? How about Maya’s Time Airways requirement of no wedding within 1 year of hiring? I think the show’s creative team will find a twist to circumvent this policy. The engaged couple has strong TA connections, James Ventura and his dad so there’s a possibility they can bypass this company policy.

The death of Mamang has brought sadness to the viewers but we should face the fact that these talents have personal lives behind the camera that should take precedence above all. I’m sure Mamang’s decision to leave is for the best of both parties. She will surely be missed in the show. Good luck in your new soap Miss Divina Valencia 🙂

This sad twist has also given us new perspective of the show where or how the creative team wants to take this in the coming months and maybe years. For more than a year, it has kept us glued to our seats, took us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with its inspiring story. With Mamang’s passing, it is opening a whole new chapter for new events and new challenges to happen with the DelaRosa and Lim families. It sort of gives the creative team more materials to explore and delve with to continue to entertain us. Someones’s gotta go for someone to come in. We should be looking forward to the comeback of Arturo, how his presence in the Dela Rosa family will affect the dynamics of the show. This is a whole new ballgame and I’m sure the creative team has more surprises to come. Thank you BCWMH for a wonderful episode. We’ve been on cloud 9 for days now and the feeling is just overwhelming.

“We keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths”-Walt Disney

Ako lang ba ang nakapansin na after ng pagpout ni SC for a kiss, sabi ni Jodi, “Ikaw ha, sumosobra ka na!”  I find it toooo natural eh! Parang super spontaneous! Parang yung kamay ni SC in between his legs!

Regarding naman the passage of Mamang, sana nga based from the teaser, they will take it lightly! Kasi that’s how naman most of the Pinoy families take it eh, light lang pero may occasional breakdown moments pag may nakakausap na malayong kamag-anak or something.  I sense na Mamang’s death will signal a drastic transition for them to deem it necessary!

MARIKYN GALICINAOThis is one of the funniest episode. I was laughing my heart out…but tomorrow I know I will be crying my eyes out.

Mamang we will miss you!!!!! BCWMH, please bring Tatay Arturo back, so Nay T will have someone else to lean on, other than Kute.

Kute!!! your speech was so heartwarming…Aiza, you are not only a talented singer, but also a talented and very natural actor.

I’ve got my buckets ready for tomorrow’s tearjerker episode. Sigh!!!

Love the kalasingang ng mag-ama. Kilig syempre!

Looking forward to the scenes where SC will be comforting Maya.

Theresa VillaIt’s sad about the passing of mamang.. Pero in real life talaga naman nangyayari yun..but they could always bring her back as alaala ng nakaraan every now and then..

What if she was wrong about Arturo? If her character stays alive then it will create a conflict between nanay Teresita and mamang..Knowing that she had something to do with his disappearance and kept it a secret..

To keep mamang alive in the story means that there will be a change in mother/daughter relationship.. And between mamang and the apos..

The whole episode made me happy dahil sa lashing na SC at DR at ang masayang pamilya de la Rosa.

Editha GarciaThe sentimental speech of Kute, Mamang, and Abby are so perfect for that moment and touches our lives. The Dela Rosa is such as ideal family that whatever happens, whatever it takes , they will always be there for each other. I can’t stop laughing while Kute is watching Sir Chief eating the soup with crushed pepper. Tipsy lang but his acting is great and so funny. I think Luke likes the girl because she’s simple, nice, and humble. Nikki girl you really have the voice. Thank you for singing my favorite song even though it’s not appropriate for that situation but your dad is right that you are very talented.

It’s so sad that Mamang is leaving the show. Sa teaser palang naiiyak na ako. This is a very difficult time and is never easy to let go of someone you really love and is very important in your life. I had this feeling when I lost my father 2 years ago and until now I’m still hurting and miss him. Sorry guys for my senti moments. We loved you Mamang and we will miss you.

Winnie R OntiverosIn the room, Nikki is brushing Abby’s hair when Kute tells her they are getting ready to go. Behind Kute is Richard. He didn’t look too well but he tried to keep face in front of Abby and Nikki. He asked where Luke is. Nikki told him he would be along shortly. He just walked one of their friends home. Richard said that they are just going to wait for Luke and then they will go. Nikki said yes and took Abby and Cho downstairs to wait for Luke.

Kute turns around to look at pale, drunk and barely standing Richard. She told him he didn’t look good. Richard said he is a little dizzy but begged Kute not to tell Maya and the kids for he will never hear the end of it. “Promise!” Kute replied. Kute told him he looked fine when he was dancing with Maya downstairs. Richard thought he’d made a fool of himself and embarrassed Maya for asking her to dance with him in front of everyone. (Believe me Richard, it was a pleasure ha ha…we so enjoyed that very much ha ha) Kute thought it was awfully sweet of him. She said that the Tuba made him have the gumption to do so. That’s ok Kute said. But she could sense Richard was not doing so well so she thought of getting him to sober up a little. She walked to the kitchen and Richard followed her. A little while later, Richard sat at the kitchen table, his right arm is holding up his head. Kute comes out of the kitchen with a bowl in her hand. She places it in front of Richard. He asked if she thought this was going to help? Kute tells him that is what they eat when they are drunk from Tuba. She pours him a glass of water. Richard takes a spoonful of the soup concoction. He felt the burning sensation on his mouth and throat that he started coughing. Kute laughed. “What is this?” Richard asked her. Kute said it is soup with minced pepper. Richard complained that it is extremely spicy. Kute urges Richard. She told him that he would have to take the spicy soup in order to sober up before Maya and the kids figure out he’s drunk. She said the sweating would help him get some of the drunkenness out. (Is that true? For the Monks in this forum, will you tell me if that is true? I may have to keep that in mind for self preservation just in case. After all, Hot Wasabi and I are thinking of hanging out and taking shots of vodka maybe? We figured we are not able to find Tuba here in the States ha ha) Richard was left without an option…he put aside the spoon and took the bowl straight to his mouth to drink the soup all the while gagging and coughing. (Bwahaha…screw the spoon just pick up the bowl and drink it ha ha and that silly jumpy music that they play during the funny moments of this show adds to the endearing funny parts ha ha)

Downstairs, Maya, Nay T, Mamang, Simon and Cho are seeing the Lims out to the van. Dona E followed Don R inside while Nikki stands outside with Abby still waiting for Luke. Abby says goodbye as Simon helps her in the van. Nikki was starting to worry because Luke is not back yet and he left his cell phone behind. Maya commented that even Richard is nowhere to be found at that moment until she sees him coming downstairs from the house. Him and Kute looked at Lino who is passed out on the same “Sawi sa Pag-ibig” table. Maya asked him where he’s been and why is he all sweaty? Richard said he was looking for something with Kute. (Oh dear Richard, what a lame excuse.) Lucky for Richard Luke just arrived. He apologized for taking so long. Nikki said, “Finally!” The two boarded the van. Richard told everyone that he thanks the De la Rosas for accommodating them and he is sorry that he got a little bit tipsy. Maya was glad he admitted it and told him to look after his Dad. Richard nodded. She tried to kiss him but he stopped her and said, “I don’t smell good.” Maya told him she doesn’t care and gave him a kiss anyway. Kute just reacted to Maya trying her best not to laugh ha ha (I believe Kute and Richard bonded on another level. Now Richard knows he could trust Kute with his life. I love the way this bonding moments of the Lims and the De la Rosas are unfolding.) Richard gave Kute a hug goodbye. Then he proceeded to bless Nay T and Mamang (mano po) He shook Simon’s hand and Cho’s. He boarded the van. When the door closed and he could no longer hear, Kute teases Maya “I don’t smell good.” (bwahaha Kute is so good at getting to Maya ha ha) Maya slaps Kute in the arm and blames her for she said she is the one that started it all. She was the one who kept giving them shots on that table that is why they got drunk. Kute just looks at Maya and says “But I don’t smell good.” Bwahaha Everyone laughs. (This is such a hilarious episode.)

And come to think of it, BCWMH is STILL the NO.1 daytime program and still loaded with ads. Ratings will show that there is 50% drop of viewership right after the show.

*ehem dream sequence*

Babaha na naman sa iwantv ang nega comments like yung akala nila GV itong show, etc….

Michelle AlarconThis is the last episode that I’m going to watch. It is out of character for a show like BCWMH to have something as tragic as losing a loved one, especially one of the main characters. I understand that Ms Divina Valencia committed to another soap, but they could have just cut her role to a small one like Maricar Reyes’ (Raffi). Ms Valencia doesn’t have to put in as many hours as she used to. They can even have her character go abroad for treatments.

The reason that so many viewers gravitate towards BCWMH is the feel-good nature of it. We don’t need drama like the family losing a loving grandmother. We have the other soaps for that. Alex’s death was set from the beginning of the show, so that doesn’t really count.

Teofilo TanSept 27 2012: SC refused to be bullied by Rafi. He refused to taste the spicy sauce Rafi prepared. This episode, 180degrees turnaround…he voluntarily tried to finish the spicy soup Kute prepared… O, for the love of Maya.

And most naman natatransform ulit pag balik GV na.

Aside from DV’s required exit due to her Galema role, hindi kaya the writers took this opportunity para i-exit ang character ni Mamang to make way for Tatay Arturo’s return? Honestly, I can’t imagine na magkasama yung dalawa, and I understand that TA’s return is necessary. In real life, gulo yun at talagang they cannot co-exist. Siguro this is what Sir Jimuel meant when he said naka-plano lahat.

Sis, your comment makes sense to me… with the backstory of TA, malabo ang co-existence nila ni mamang..

Kapit bisig pa rin tayo… it’s all part of the show… kahit all out comedy show naman, may mga very sad events din eh… for me, BCWMH portrays true life events so it’s no big deal… let’s now focus on how will SC support Maya on this…

Mamang will surely be missed pero GV pa rin and kapit-bisig!

Agree, martin. Kahit nga Home Along Da Riles noon at Okay Ka Fairy Ko, may drama moments din.

I enjoyed watching this episode. I know Noel Trinidad is a funny comedian but Ser Chief was able to hold his own. The scenes of their ka-lashingan were hilarious. I love too the dance of Ser Chief with his puckering of lips. I am not looking forward however to the next episode where we all say goodbye to Mamang. I will wait for whatever the brillian writers will offer us. I am sure these will be true to life events.

Getting back to this episode, it brought back some of my real life conversations about alcohol drinking.

Friend: Well, that’s good Suki, you don’t drink and drive.
Sukiyaki: Yes, I am allergic to alcohol and my husband is allergic to my driving.

Friend: So you do not drive at all, Suki?
Sukiyaki: Oh yes, I do. As a matter of fact, my husband says I drive him nuts.

My Young Son: Mom, is it true that people drink to forget?
Sukiyaki: Yes, Honey, when they drink they forget where they live.
My Young Son: Well, then that’s not good!
Sukiyaki: No, that is good, if they don’t want to go back to their wife.

My Young Daughter: Mom, why do drunk people laugh a lot?
Sukiyaki: Because they think they can get away with anything.
My Young Daughter: Do they really get away with everything?
Sukiyaki: No, sometimes other people have taken away everything drunk people have.
My Young Daughter: Why can’t drunken people walk straight?
Sukiyaki: Because they can’t see straight.

Friend (visiting me at home): Suki, why do you keep empty bottles of wine on the rack?
Sukiyaki: Oh, those are my collection of Dry Wine.
Friend: Why do you store sugar on wine bottles?
Sukiyaki: Sweet wine!

Sukiyaki: Do you know why people put ice pack on their head when they get drunk?
Friend: Because they have a headache?
Sukiyaki: No, they want to make sure they keep the wine inside chilled.

Ayan, now you know why I said na iiyak kayo yung kay Mamang
I will miss her too, pero ang cute nung ilalagay na picture nya
malamang end of book 1 lang

Of course, it meant Book 1. Ang worried lang ako is baka nagbago sila ng plan as to when Book 1 would end. Ang alam ko December pa dapat and the series would go on kahit may movie shoot. Unless may drastic changes? Hope the network would shed light on this.

Nasa timeline naman yata ng bcwmh based on the heart caricatures ang story arc ng pagkamatay ni mamang. i saw the vid of the heart caricatures transition before in youtube kaso di ko na mahanap. in it after falling in love was the tampuhan (i presume the away before SC b-day), then kiss and make-up (could be during SC b-day party) and yun nga both the heart caricatures were crying. naisip ko nga na may mamamatay kasi both hearts have tears saka happens after kiss and make up. so siguro eto na yun.

Maybe the story is preparing for the dela rosa family to move to manila to be close to maya now that there are just NT, Kute and Cho left. big change in dynamics siguro ang mangyayari. the death of mamang can be a pivotal changed in the story line to make the transition believable.

It is interesting to find out how they can move the wedding forward kung ang aim ng movie ay buhay mag-asawa na si SC and maya. though bcwmh is real time situations, it will be too dragging kung paabutin nga nila ang wedding sa may kasi 2014 na yun.

Tama! masyadong matagal ang 1 year—-
di ko lang trip yung just give me a reason , gasgas na masyado yung kanta

Winnie R OntiverosHa ha Suki…I wish I was a couple of hours behind so I could be posting about the same time as you. I feel alone pag nag post ako in the morning. Pero there is no way I could keep up with the 2 or 3 hours that I have to spend doing mine. anyway, like everyone else, I ROFLMHO on your offering today specially the one where binaon mo na nga bakit kailangan mo pang hanapin ha ha….All these just comes natural to you. It reminds me of my husband always making fun of me. Everytime we go out to our favorite Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth called Papasito’s, I always order a margarita. Once I ordered it and it came in this great big huge margarita glass. It was watermelon flavored and man I am salivating thinking about it. I love this margarita but I am such a light weight. I ended up taking only a couple of sips of this margarita before I am like Lino on the table. Once when he got to pay our tab he saw how much this margarita cost. It was $15.00. He made me drink more because he didn’t want to waste what we paid for. I ended up drinking a quarter of the margarita and he almost needed to drag me to the car. I slept all the way home. Ha ha Lightweight!

Zaida SchmichTeka anong nangyari???? After ng maraming kilig moments eh super sad moment naman? Merong mamamatay? Ha???Bakeeet? Si Mamang pa? Is she coming back to here sa states kaya papatayin siya?I know this will happen kasi nga me highblood siya but para isingit right after ng pamamanhikan? How sad naman. I am sad for Maya but if this means na tuloy-tuloy na ang BCWMH eh okay na sa akin:-) I’m just sad for Mamang. Anong say nyo mga kabisig? Bago ang kasalan eh pakikipaglibing muna tayo? Huhuhu!!!!

Ser Chief and Maya Nescafe Commercial

Yung kay Luke, walang makahula!  [/QUOTE]

Just watched the replay now. The tipsy dance sequence seemed to have been shot ng walang bantay. Very, very RY/JSM. Pati kilig ni NT parang out of character…And I loved that attempted kiss ni RY before that tender kiss on the forehead.

#TapingsOnIndependenceDaysRMoreFun

And on a more serious note:

Didn’t watch the rest of the replay. Tomorrow na lang. No matter how much I try, I get affected with the death of Mamang. She has been a constant sa daily viewing habit natin for more than a year so cant help but feel attached na rin. Well, sabi nga ni Jimwell, ganyan talaga ang life, di lang puro happy, meron din sad. I just hope there would be less hype and hysteria over Mamang’s death. Sana they’d dwell na lang how everyone would help each other cope with the family’s grief and sudden loss.

Marife SantiagoWhy Mamang? She’s great for her role, Sana naman Makita Nya ang wedding Ni
Maya, so sad to know that she’s leaving the show, good luck to you Ms. Divina
Valencia, you’re a great actress and the best Mamang ever, God bless you:-)

Favor. Yung may mga Twitter, can you please ask Sir Jimuel if they changed their plan na- of ending Book 1 sooner than the original December date? Sabi in RY at JSM dati, they won’t stop taping e. Dying to find out…

…Jimuel quoted yung line ni Abby re the story’s end. Perhaps it was the most subtle way of breaking the news..short of confirming the impending end himself.

Gale RamosKilig overload!!!!

I hink its divina’s decision to leave. Di na nya kaya siguro sked ng BCWMH, they’re shooting the movie pa. She’s also part of Galema, mas magaan ung role and sked.

Hmmm…looks like I’m right, type ni Luke ung girl, from New Year episode, nanotice ko na. Hihi! Can’t wait din sa Eds and Simon love story.

Things I’ve noticed:

1. DELA PAZ surname ni Mamang

At meaning nito kinabukasan after Mamang’s supposed to be death date of Sept 9…..Sept 10 ay ika 4th monthsary nina SC and Maya!

Parang wala masyado nabanggit sa conversations nila all throughout the series. Iyung tungkol lang sa ilang kamag-anak nung pumunta sa burol sina Nay Tere and Kute and naiwan sina Mamang at Cho sa house. Same na sana a bit more background about Alex’s family for Luke, Nikki and Abby kahit in conversations lang. Para mas ma-picture.

Mwah!!!!!

she’s harmless I think

Patay ka, Angge!
It’s going to be sad tomorrow, lalo na si Nanay…
Regarding the show…
May movie at book 2 pa, sabi ni Jodi sa Pep kahapon, the movie is not the end of the show
So it means… the movie must be a blockbuster to merit a book 2

On the other hand I’m also sad that Mamang’s leaving the show. However I still want to give credit to the writers and staff for pursuing this storyline. I don’t think that the writers would want Mamang to leave especially now that Maya’s about to get married but given DV’s commitment to her new show kailangan nilang gawin. And I believe that they will write it in line with the show’s goal which is to inspire people and give hope. Of course death is always a sad topic but come to think of it, it’s really part of life. I would like to see how the ever energetic, hopeful and best actress Dela Rosa family would react in such situation. For sure their family’s attitude towards Mamang’s death will truly touch our hearts.

Winnie R OntiverosAt the hotel, Richard checks up on his Dad. Dona E is still massaging his head. Richard tells her to go on to sleep after all his Dad is already fast asleep. Dona E tells Richard he would wake up once she stops massaging his head. Richard just lovingly watches his mother care for his father. At the de la Rosa’s Cho is looking at the pictures from the park. He sees the happy moments shown on everyone’s faces but he is feeling a bit sad for he knows that things are not going to be the same anymore once his Ninang Maya gets married. He worries that she will not have time with him anymore specially when she has her own baby. Mamang walks in on Cho and comforts him. She tells him not to worry because even though things would change, he will always be his Ninang Maya’s favorite nephew (Ummm Cho you are her only nephew ha ha). Mamang pinches his cheek. She tells him not to be sad because he still has his Lola Mamang and Lola Nanay.

Richard comes back to their room. Luke is still up thinking of the events today. He looks like he had fun and is appreciating the simple life in the province. He asks how his Dad is feeling? Richard said he is just a little tipsy. He takes his eyeglasses off and lies down beside Abby. Luke tells him that if he needed anything, just let him know. Luke continued to talk making the comment that in the province there are a lot of good people. They all know each other and they don’t have any inhibitions. Then asked when him and Maya are already married, would they come back and visit San Nicolas often? He looks at Richard and he is now fast asleep. Luke just laughs. (Ha ha I think Luke is liking someone uyyyy….)

At the De la Rosa’s Nay T, Kute and Maya walk in the room… loud and laughing away. Maya notices Cho feeling a bit sad. She holds him and asks him if he wanted to sleep with her tonight? (Yep in the Philippines we are used to sleeping with our loved ones even if they are older and of another sex. They are, after all our relatives, loved ones. There is no malice because we all treat each other as such. It sure is very different.) Cho liked that. Suddenly Mamang had an idea. She went in the other room to get some mats. She brings it back to the room and announced that they are all going to sleep together on the floor. After all, she said that it has been a long time since they did that. Everyone got ready and excited. Mamang started to plan the events for tomorrow. After finding out that Maya’s flight is not until the afternoon, she suggested they go and visit the other church. Nay T said that they should probably wait for another time to do that because everyone seems to be tired and may want to sleep in. Mamang is worried that they are going to miss out on the church reservation. Kute reminds her that Maya isn’t getting married until next year. Suddenly they all gather up to tease her enjoying themselves and laughing. Mamang told them to stop laughing and having too much fun. She said that there is an old fable that says that if you are laughing and having too much fun today, tomorrow you will be lonely and crying. The others told her not to worry for nothing tragic is going to happen tomorrow.

Isipin na lang natin na ang pag-alis ni Mamang ang paraan ng BCWMH family para isabuhay ang sabi ni Sir Chief kay Maya during her farewell sa mansion na “bilang isang pamilya we also need to encourage each other to pursue one another’s dream.” Kinailangan lang talaga ni DV umalis for a new show. Let the GV continue, kasalan na soon, then honeymoon, then sana madagdagan ng isa pang member ang pamilya Dela Rosa

I love to see this
sarap lang lasingin ang dalawa para magwala!
Nakakalungkot manood ng teaser sa totoo lang

Winnie R OntiverosAfter everyone settled in the floor, the De la Rosa’s have not stopped talking. Mamang said since the wedding is a year away, she will have plenty of time to diet. Nay T teases her with her love handles. She teases Nay T back with hers. Kute said that maybe it will be a fashion show of the love handles at Maya’s wedding. Mamang tells Kute she is third runner up. Kute disagrees. She said that she is on a league of her own because she isn’t wearing a gown to the wedding. (ha ha that would be the day when Kute shows up anywhere in a gown ha ha) Then they started on Maya. Kute said that she is getting waaaaayyy too skinny as in skin and bones. (I have to agree Kute. She sure is. I could see her thigh and her behind and she is hecka tiny) Mamang insists that Maya took after her for her body was like hers when she was her age. What happened Mamang? Kute asked ha ha…Then Mamang got up (or should I say everyone helped her up from the floor…bwahaha Mamang is so cute just the way she is…huge personality, huge body and huge heart…Love you Mamang) She went to the other room to get a box. The others followed her less Cho. She brought out from the box her wedding dress…vintage…and in tact, well preserved. She gave it to Maya and said that she wanted Nay T to wear it at her wedding but she could not fit it. She is sure Maya will have to get it altered because her breast is a bit bigger than Maya’s. Everyone teased Maya. She is overwhelmed with so much love from her family. They group hugged. (Knowing what is about to happen with Mamang leaving, I got really teary eyed during this portion of the episode. She is going to leave Maya with the most wonderful gift of her wedding dress.)

May meeting na naman ang BCWMH. Ayoko sanang ma-istress tungkol dito. Sinasabi ko sa sarili ko enjoy lang while it last at take one day at a time. kaya lang di maiwasan di pa handang mawala BCWMH anytime soon.

If Book 1 would indeed be cut short, hope they explain why there was a sudden change in plans. I wonder paano rin nila biglang pabibilisin to one year yung timeline ng show.

Ang alam ko kasi, fixed na how Book 1 would go kasi nga prequel sya to the movie.

2 reasons lang bakit may meeting ang BCWMH:

1. Paano sila kakambyong bilisang tapusin ang Book 1 (if true nga)
2. Story conferencing for the movie

Na kahit paano after the funeral life would move on for them.

Moving on..

Bagay si luke at tintin.

After the airport meeting nila hinda na sinundan…

Besides, whether the Book 1 will end soon or in December pa, I think it’s about time to focus on more kilig scenes (may 1 year pa muna sina SC and Maya as BF-GF plus wedding preps) and to focus on one major hurdle before the wedding that I can think of- the reappearance of Tatay Arturo.

Next Time on BCWMH

Everyone wakes up to breakfast at the De la Rosa’s. Nay T couldn’t stop talking about how everything went well at the pamamanhikan. She also commented that everyone seemed to have fun including Richard and his Dad getting drunk. She orders Maya to go ahead and call Mamang so they could sit down and eat breakfast together. Maya goes to the room to wake Mamang up. Maya shows Richard a red dress and asks him if Abby might fit the dress. Richard says “Red? For us that color is forbidden.” Maya said that they are just kids. Maya is seen talking to Richard. She said that her Mother is a Momma’s girl. Mamang has never left her… ever… especially when her father left. (That is how my Dad and me were too. I never experienced my father gone until he passed away. It happened 10 years ago but it feels like only yesterday.) She tells Richard that when Kute was small, she was the first one to call her Mamang. Kute comes into the room. Nay Teresita sits lowly in the living room sofa. Kute tells her that she has picked a picture of Mamang. She showed it to her and it was a framed picture of Mamang with a drumstick on her hand. Maya lets out a big sigh and calls out Kute’s name. (Notice that everyone seem to be wearing white and Kute wearing a black and white stripped polo. Yep, Mamang may have passed on in her sleep.)

Okay lang siguro kung around november yung end ng book1, earliest na yan! utang na loob! to create hype na for the upcoming MMFF! waaaah they wouldn’t want a too-long gap from the end of the book 1 dun sa showing sa MMFF kasi baka makalimot na ang mga tao, alam mo naman ang mga Pinoys di ba? Haaaay

Yun nga lang viewers ng show, kung makacomment pag minsan dragging ang story, limot agad ang times na pinakilig at pinasaya sila ng show. Haaay

and hmmm ngayon pa bang getting closer and comfy na ang ating mga bida? No freaking way!

Teaser for tomorrow, may konting dagdag!

Mamaaaaaaaaang!!! Mamaaaaaang!!!  na ako, teaser pa lang!  Payakap nga sa biceps mo Ricardo!!! Naisingit pa?!

Love the kalasingang ng mag-ama.
Kilig syempre!

Saw the teaser on YT.

Looking forward to the scenes where SC will be comforting Maya.

#GoodVibesSanibanMoAko

Natawa talaga ako sa picture ni Mamang as in
nagawa pa ring magpatawa talaga!

Sana filled pa ng lighter moments parang celebration of life ang dating.
Exactly!

Hot WasabiHello Win,
Like father, like son. Richard gets as drunk, but is not as affected, as his Dad. Luke also seems to share, like you said, the same taste in women as his Dad. They both like simple and genuine Dalagang Pilipina. I really think that Luke and Tintin look great together.
Napatawa talaga ako sa nguso ni Richard when he was following Maya to the middle of the “dance floor”. I bet, enjoy na enjoy ang mga crowd sa shooting na ‘to. He seems to really be natural in his acting.
Napaluha din ako when Abby stood up to say something. She is so brave to have made a speech in front of that crowd. What a girl!
And yes, Nikki can truly carry a tune.
Another great summation replete with your sotto voces. I love reading your take because they add humor to how I view the episode.
Huway kang magsawa sa ginagawa mong contribution dito. Marami kaming nagbabasa sa post mo, sis.

Though I’m part Chinese, I didn’t know na there’s a belief / tradition na if a parent / grandparent of either the groom or the bride passes away, the wedding could happen two ways:
a.) it should be within 100 days of the passing or
b.) they should wait 1000 days after the death

I guess, based on Sir Jimuel’s tweets, they would go for the former instead of the latter! Puzzle lang what will happen with Maya and Time Airways.

Yes, there is. I have Chinese blood rin.

If that’s the case, baka Maya will sacrifice her being an FA muna? Tapos later on, magiging isang challenge sa story ito.

Ewan. Don’t know what to wish for. Writers, surprise us… a pleasant surprise!

Basta, kahit ano pa takbo nyan, ayokong ihinto muna nila ang TV series airing earlier than December.

The wedding could come a bit earlier than expected if they will follow the Chinese tradition of wedding after death in the family

If one of the parents passes away, the bride or groom has to be in mourning, the wedding will either be conducted within 100 days of the death, or
postponed till 3 years (1000 days) after the death.

from: http://www.chinese-wedding-guide.com…ng-taboos.html

possible conflicts would be:

So ang possible conflict na lang talaga is the clash of Chinese and Filipino traditions, and what I am loving about this conflict is it shows how creative and imaginative these writers are, kaya nila ipasok ang lahat ng angles! And talagang pati ito nagawa nila itackle

first time ko to see the teaser….. nagmumugto ang mga mata ni Maya

I don’t think they can end it this September. It’s barely 3 weeks, too short a time to tie all the loose ends. Perhaps they’ll reserve the wedding for the movie because it would be one its highlights. Hope they will end it by November. If they end it any earlier than that, the steam might cool off. We know how the viewing public is. #OutOfSightOutOfMind

I too, am thinking how I’ll deal with separation anxiety once the show ends. I have been so into the show since day 1. All throughout its run I missed just 2 episodes (just because my husband had a surgery-aint that a valid reason?). #NotGoodWithGoodbyes

Kung 70 years old pa lang si Mamang…

Ang bata nyang naging Lola!!!

#SOCOMode

Agree sis jam. November seems the earliest na ending date na ideal. Better sana if first or second week of December, then movie, then mga earliest siguro mid-January, start ng Book 2 naman.

As to NT’s tweet na Be Careful will end, maybe she’s referring to Book 1 ending which might be in sight already given patapos na ang taon. Which brings me to thinking… When they come back in 2014, will the show’s title still be ‘Be Careful With My Heart’?

SylviaSanchez Atayde @sylviasanchez_a

For sure we will all gonna miss Mamang
But like in real life, there’s sunshine after the rain

Yeah. So ang possible conflict na lang talaga is the clash of Chinese and Filipino traditions, and what I am loving about this conflict is it shows how creative and imaginative these writers are, kaya nila ipasok ang lahat ng angles! And talagang pati ito nagawa nila itackle.

I love the show’s creative pool of writers but I also love this thread/forum. Whatever topic/matter that would be brought up, can be discussed and tackled intelligently, humorously, passionately. I dont know how it is with other threads cause this is the first time I joined one but I can say, for sure, that I am glad and proud to belong here.

#HappyFanGhel

Zel MSis Win, what a great episode we have for today, a balanced mix of emotions, just right, al ittle bit of everything although the teaser caught us all off guard but as this is a mirror of life itself, unexpected things do happen, so we just have to accept it, take in all the lessons, celebrate it if we must and then life goes on…

I was moved by the scenes of Kute giving out the speech, Abby’s heartfelt speech thanking her Ate Maya for everything she had done for her, and of course SC’s lasheng moves and the dance moves, so cute!!! and the father-son lasheeng acts with DE scolding them so funny and so realistic, SC’s sopas scene, Maya’s d kiss move, Cho’s missing Ninang hug and the DLR family’s power hugs so touching !!! We had been gifted with so much heartwarming scenes. Oh well, some good things never last… so let’s see how tonight’s epi will play out… Am ready with my kleenex … tyvm for your yet detailed synopsis of course with your side notes that we all love… Just know that we so luv your daily offerings and we will always look forward to your offerings episode after episode… Bravo!!! :))

GIF Animation Viewer - GIFMaker.me

Sana a week before christmas, then balik sila mid January 2014!

If nagtweet si Ms. Sylvia Sanchez na mag e-end na ang BCWMH most likely she is referring to book 1 nga………malamang soon na if not this month baka early next month.

Sis, yan naman talaga orig plan nila e.

In fairness naman kay Ms. Sylvia, wala syang sinabing date. She just replied to Sir Jimuel’s tweet about sa line ni Abby (implying ending).

I think they will retain the title. In addition to name recall, it’s a good continuing theme naman between couples or in any kind of relationship. They’ll add na lang siguro a qualifier….BCWMH the Movie or BCWMH Book 2, 3, 4, etc…I hope maging katulad sya ng John & Marsha which aired for quite sometime. They’ve struck a gold mine sa spark and chemistry ng tandem.

Then may tweets si Ryap most likely punta sa US, may shows ba sila ulit???

Make hay while the sun shines.’ Lalo na si RY. Siguro dahil tanggap naman nya na hindi sya super magtatagal sa showbiz given his age, he is making the most out of every opportunity given to him.

Pag bilangin nga ang product endorsements ni RIchard Yap either angat siya or same na sila ni Anne Curtis!

Daig pa ni RYap si Daniel Padilla!

Bernie RoqueI don’t think I will be able to watch tomorrow’s episode. It reminds me of when my brother passed away. Even now just thinking of tomorrow, of what the De La Rosa will be going through, makes me cry. I do feel sad for Maya, Kute, Cho, and most especially to Nanay Teresita since Mamang has always there by her side through good and bad times. But like everyone is saying that’s how life is. One minute they are there with us, the next they are gone. That’s why we should appreciate and not neglect the people around us especially the people close to our hearts. This is the reason I am so addicted to this show because it’s not only fun to watch but it does reflect our daily lives. This might just be a show but I feel like every characters are real and that’s why I am really sad for Maya and her family. Okay I will stop now because I am going start to cry like a baby. Condolence to the De La Rosa family

The IRONY of life…

INDEPENDENT yet CAPTURED

GOndah- gondah!!!!

Haysss……..thankie sis!!!!GVGVGV

I think so too. Feeling ko, lilitaw siya sa burol.

Hindi ako sanay na mag-post ng seryoso. Haaaaay.

With Mamang’s passing… we need Tolda!!!

Wag naman sa mansyon, sis. Iparenovate na lang old house.

Bukod pa kina Maya at SC, kinilig din ako sa TOLDA

Hay…Can’t help but cry while watching Mamang’s last scenes…

Mamaaaaaaaang! Bakit mo kami iniwaaaaaaan?

At…

Dela Rosa de Lim, Maya y Dela Paz

But anyway, lets think positive na lang na the show will not end soon. The way they changed daytime viewing at sa considerably mataas na rating, I don’t think ABS will end this soon.

Eh si Ser Chief, ano ba talaga ang pangalan nya as stated in his birth certificate- Ricardo o Richard?

Anong middle name nya?

May nag comment kanina re sa pwesto ng isang kamay ni SC, while his other hand is holding Maya’s hand. Ito ba yun? Ahihihi… bahala na kayo mag imagine…

Hoooy Ricardo, ano ba kasing meron dyan ha? I mean, alam ko naman kung ano meron dyan but still… parang may gusto nga ng #independenceday

“I’m ok” ahehehehe….

I think RY can always reinvent himself. He knows how to market himself. He has a good singing voice, and good speaking voice too. He can easily give yung mga newscasters natin a run for their money. Siguro lahat puro news nalang ang panonoorin. JSM naman is a very good actress. I’m sure matagal pa staying power nya.

oh that smile….

…oh my. that’s why I love it here. Where in the world ka makakakita ng fans na ang imagination can turn ang isang taong grasa into a yummy chocolate dipped homo sapien?

#NoActingActing#

Sarap kidnapin!
Pano na ang SN household… dina kompleto.

Nababawasan nga ang pipol ng SN! sabi nga nung nabasa ko first si Papa Pards then si Mamang, wag naman daw si Kute ang isunod!

Nakakabasa dito.. pero ever since nabalitaan ko yung kay mamang BR ako ng BR trying to check kung namiss ko lang ba ang news na to.. hoping pa naman ako na di totoo pero totoo pala…

Ang saya saya ko lately grabe, pero affected ako kay mamang huhuhu.. kanina pa ako iyak ng iyak kainis.. feeling ko kse lola ko din sya eh.. bcwmh will never be the same without mamang  kainis ka galema! huhuhu..

Well I guess I just have to trust the writers kase they know better than me naman and di pa naman nila ako nabibigo so far..

Sabi nga ni Sir Jimuel, ang bcwmh ay salamin ng buhay, and loss or death is a part of life… hayssss..

Naku, mga sis, sorry to have brought BV.

Just wanna speak my mind. Wala akong napagsasabihan e kasi closet adik nga ako, di ba?! Anyway, I appreciate the intelligent discussions we have here.

Although we can’t help but worry, di pa naman sure that Book 1 will end sooner than expected. What confused us lang talaga is how Ms. Sylvia responded to Sir Jimuel’s tweet.

Gaya nga ng sabi ng lahat, may movie at Book 2 pa no matter what.

Talaga bang intended for the teleserye yang scene na yan o yan e isang BTS- Behind The Sin?

#HalataNa

…parang di kasama sa script yung: “ser chief nakakarami ka na ha” or to that effect. ang hina ng audio.

#HalataNaBa
#EditingOversight

OMFG!!! And one of these moments ay etong scene na toh!!!

Sabi niya sis “Ikaw ha. Sumosobra ka na.” with matching *maharotnatawa.

One mark of a certified and beyond rehab adik is when you can immediately tell whether SC and MDR are out of character. There were several instances na RY and JSM ang na cacapture on screen. I am loving that *maharotnatawa* So not Maya.

The whole episode made me happy dahil sa lashing na SC at DR at ang masayang pamilya de la Rosa.

Bernie RoqueOh my gosh! I think Mamang just passed away. It does look like it since Maya, Kute, and NT are all wearing black and white and their eyes are all swollen. Not only that Kute went to look for a picture of Mamang. Why??? Why take out her character? Actually when Mamang said that it’s not good to have so much fun, then I thought maybe DR might get hospitalized since he’s the only that got so drunk and has a headache. Didn’t think it would be Mamang dying. It would have been fun and nice to have Mamang when Maya and SC get married especially if Maya decides to wear her wedding with a few alterings.

#labyuserchief#

They are most likely gonna stop taping na doon. Kelangan nila ang whole team sa Maynila sa simula ng taping for the movie. They need all the people they have.

Sige. Good night sa lahat!

Hello! Distraction sa pag-aadik ang real life!

Too sad for Mamang leaving pero iniisip ko na lang ang physical comfort and support ni SC for Maya.

Regarding sa SC-Maya na tawag… May nabasa ako before naChieMay daw. Hahaha!\\\\

Really love the episode today though tomorrow would be a complete turn about..
He is adorable..
So let’s continue watching the journey of SC and Maya.

Yeah, laugh trip yung text ni singkit.

Doris, Sabel, Joma, Manafe. The pamamamamanhikan was gret. Nagpapart na ngayon

Hi Rogus! Oo nga, super redeemed si DR!!!

Hello cyberowl, tayo ang laging nagkakasabay dito…yup si Don Roberto galing umarteng lasing at lately nagiging lovable.

I was sad re Mamang’s death but i am so happy that in this show they were able to incoporate all occassions that show how Filipinos life revolve ..from Christmas, Valentine’s , pamamanhikan and even on funerals…tayong mga Pilipino, we always have an excuse to get together and celebrate . And even on our worst moments, we gather to celebrate life. We are so resilient .

Better late than never…. May sumagot sa tanong…

@letyvitug huwag kasi kayo makinig sa chismis.

I hope this answers our question!!!

Saw RY’s tweet, too. Given this, mukhang tuloy pa rin sila. Sure nanaman tayo that they will be back after the movie kaya lang yung Book 1 ending ang kinakatakot natin. Pero knowing how frank RY is, kung kahit Book 1 ending very soon na, sinabi na nya sa tweet nya. So sa ngayon, more concrete and reliable evidence na the show will go on.

Can’t the producers orient all people behind the show how to answer questions of the viewing public such as this? (Ehem! ehem!

As you said sis cyber, may mga tvcs pa sila up to November so it’s illogical talaga just to stop the show dahil sa movie. Kung nahihirapan sila sa schedule, it’s more practical for them to make bawas lang their other engagements.

Na-stress lang ang the officegirl and the fangirl in me.

Malakas naman ang kutob ko na tuloy-tuloy ito hanggang December kasi nagagawa naman ng ibang mga artista na maglagari ng ilang projects at the same time eh. Di ba si Jodi, nakagawa pa last year ng indie movie?

The past few epis have been so much fun and kilig to the bones to watch. yung bintana scene the other day, grabe ang chemistry ng dalawa, at juice ko po! pamatay talaga ang dating ni Sir Chief.

Piloy PgeHappy for today’s episode. but sad for next episode. I always say this is an unpredicable teleserye. but not killing Mamang’s character. How I wish the writers created another form of exit. or they could recast the character, they always do it here in US soap opera. Mamang’s character plays an important role to De la Rosa family esp. to Maya. Sad na naman si Maya. and the people around her. It is so hard to plan a wedding when you lose someone very close to your heart. Mamang, I will miss you. you are funny, honest in your opinion and very loving to your family. Really sad and disappointed, but I just have to trust the writers for extreme twist they did. I will be quiet for a while in this forum, because I am grieving and crying for losing Mamang . 😦 😦

Di ko mapigilang mapa-SPG while reading some of them hehe

Chinese wedding superstitions

Gift money for weddings should always be an even number, symbolising that everything is in a couple

Couples with the same surname cannot marry; even if they are not related they still belong to the same ancestry

A Chinese man is advised not to marry a girl without pubic hair (there goes the Brazilian waxing industry lol); the reason is that she may not be fertile and thus produce no offspring

Wedding clothes should be red, yellow and/or white and wearing black, blue or gray will bring bad luck to the marriage

A boy, preferably a dragon, must roll over the newleywed’s matrimonial bed to ensure good luck and a baby boy

Brides shouldn’t try on their wedding dress before the wedding day or the wedding will not push through

Breaking something during the reception brings good luck to the newlyweds

A bride who wears pearls on her wedding day will be an unhappy wife experiencing many heartaches and tears

It is recommended that no one sleeps or sits on the bridal bed after its installation and blessing for fertility; if however, the groom needs to sleep on it before the wedding he should be accompanied by a young boy preferably born in the year of the dragon

If the bride meets another bride on the wedding day their luck may clash; the matchmakers or the best men from the two bridal parties will exchange red packets on the couple’s behalf to neutralise the effects of the clash

For the bride to be obedient to the groom, the groom has to kick the door/wheel of the vehicle before he fetches the bride from the wedding vehicle

Pregnant women are encouraged not to attend weddings to avoid clash of luck

Persons in mourning are not to attend any wedding celebrations within 100 days of the death as a form of respect for the dead

If a roast pig is included as part of the bride’s home visit gifts, care must be taken not to break the ears or tails accidentally; an imperfect pig implies that the bride is not a virgin

The groom must arrive before the bride to the ceremony to avoid bad luck

FLASHBACK<<<<<<< REWIND

VOLUME 26

304  Date Aired: September 11, 2013….Would the “pamamanhikan” be Mamang’s final day with the family?

Oh my geee! I am literally crying already! Mamang woke up in the night and lovingly caressed Maya’s back and smiled and went back to sleep.

GIF Animation Viewer - GIFMaker.me

Tulala si Maya and Nanay Tere!!

Mamang’s passing is sad pero they are trying to inject humor into it kahit si Lino.

Cynch HonradoI will miss watching Ms. Divina Valencia as Lola Mamang, she gave her all and made it enjoyable for me as a viewer to watch how she made the Dela Rosa family wholesome and produced strong women who have loving hearts.

I doubt she will be present for the movie, but I guess only her memory because RY said in an interview, the movie will be sort of a continuation of where the teleserye ends to give way to the movie……..and maybe to set the stage for what others are saying for the book 2 or the next season of the series.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa wala na talaga si Mamang!!! Huhuhu.

But, thanks ABS-CBN..lahat nang challenges in life pina-kita nyo ditto..very realistic and maka-pamilya talaga!!!

How sweet, Baby Abby. Hope the Lim kids can comfort the Dela Rosas lalo na si Cho. They know how it feels. They lost Alex rin kasi.

Autumn Walk
Goodbye–A Tribute To Mamang

We had a love so great,
Why can’t we bring it back?
You said you’d always love me,
What happened to that?
One day you just left me,
I felt so all alone.
I thought about you all the time,
My heart felt like a stone.
I have learned to love again,
Even how to trust.
I thought I never must.
This is the last you will hear from me,
For now you’re just a memory.

Autumn WalkPsalm 23rd

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Manang FE to Maya: Anak magpakatatag ka ha? Huwag kang magpapasalamat masama yun.

DE wants to stay to help din.

G. IsaacsWow I guess I missed a lot. I received a text message that DV passed. I had to watch all the epis that I missed. Quite frankly, I was getting nauseated with BCWMH. The more recent episodes are so insulting to the intelligence of the viewers it’s embarrassing. I peek at the reviews every now and then. Same ol’, same ol’. Tonight I am caught up again. Whew! I understand the character needs to be terminated. This is probably one of the best episodes I’ve seen. I firmly believe the cast is better at portraying extremely emotional scenes. They are really funny and convincing at being sad. Not always good at being romantic. I love this episode. Mamang’s death is just like any death, almost always unplanned. I might have to squeeze some time for this now in between football games/ blogs. Exciting!
Funny side note:
I read somebody thought they were bashed. I laugh because it sounded like she was stumped too. I like reading the uncommon reviews so keep it coming. I’ll post my most honest reviews and comments as much as I possibly can for those who care to read it.

Mas lalo malungkot yung unang scenes where they discover Mamang and the initial preps for the wake kasi slow-mo. It looks so tragic specially when the mag-iina are so desperately trying to shake Mamang awake.

Nanette FernandezThis is indeed a sad episode. The passing of Mamang reminded me how my own mother passed away years ago (she died in her sleep). Tears were non-stop as I was watching since it brought back memories. Ano ba naman BCWMH, from sobrang saya to this? We will surely miss Mamang; sabagay I read that Miss Divina has another serye coming up that is probably why her character has to die. Sad.

GIF Animation Viewer - GIFMaker.me

A very sad week indeed, except for the pamamanhikan.

So tender yung final scene between Maya and SC. Kahit na wagas na wagas ang yakap ni Maya kay SC, hindi ninyo siguro makukuhang umisip ng SPG kasi it’s so so tender and loving, so empathetic, so sympathetic. Her pain is his pain.

The moment of discovery and realization is done so cinematically with the three dela Rosa women crying out their grief like tragic Greek heroines. It’s done in slow motion. Excellent!

Susan RobertsI have watched this episode twice. One of the things it really made me cried was the part when mamang was running her on my Maya’s head. My own grandmother used to that to me when I young we slept together on a panig on the floor. Thank you BCWMH for bringing back some precious memories of my grandmother. Truly this episode was get your towel not your Kleenex. The part where Kute and Nanay Teresita was pulling mamang , my heart was so broken for them.

Yong tweet ni Sir Jimuel

“Thank you all for watching, kapamilya. We know that many of you cried. We did too. Yun ay dahil kapamilya na rin natin ang lahat ng nasa #BeCarefulWithMyHeart. At para rin tayong nawalan ng mahal sa buhay sa pagpanaw ni Mamang. Her death is really a part of the story.

Teaser…

DR: You’re okay?

SC: I’m okay Pa it’s Maya I’m worried about.

DR: She’ll get over it

SC: What if she doesn’t?

I hope Maya will overcome this.

Zel MPAGLISAN

Today’s episode is inspired by the song “Paglisan” originally popularized by the band Color It Red – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVK4vPrcyKU and also sang by Aiza Seguerra – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3CQ8YoTdvk

There are things in life that we don’t want to happen but have to accept, things we don’t want to know but have to learn, and people we can’t live without but have to let go. Death can topple or shake the status quo that a family relies on and enjoys for it creates a new realm that a grieving family will have to dwell, and it is here, in the world without the loved one, that families learn to exist and to move on. But, before getting to that state of acceptance and moving on, families will have to go through some state of denial and only then will they ever be able to move on. Denial is perhaps one of the best known defense mechanisms used often to describe situations in which people seem unable to face reality or admit the obvious truth especially when it comes to the death of a loved one.

Kung ang buhay ay isang
Umagang nakangiti
At ikaw ay ang lupang
Sinusuyo ng bituin

The Dela Rosa’s had a great time the night before, sleeping together and having so much fun after the successful pamamanhikan. In the early morning just before everybody was up, Mamang in her happy contented state lovingly looked and stared at Maya sleeping soundly and with a smile she lovingly caressed her apo before she closed her eyes for the very last time. She passed away with such beautiful smile taking with her the happy moments the day before and perhaps contented that her youngest apo will soon be getting married and be with the man she truly loves.

An article affirmed that when a person enters the final stage of the dying process, there are two dynamics closely interrelated and interdependent that occurs. On the physical plane, the body begins the final process of shutting down where all the physical systems cease to function. These physical changes are a normal, natural way as the body prepares itself to stop from functioning. The other dynamic is the emotional-spiritual-mental plane, wherein the spirit of the dying person begins the final process of release from the body, its immediate environment and tends to follow its own priorities, which may include the resolution of whatever is unfinished business and a reception of permission to “let go” from family members. These events are normal, natural way wherein the spirit prepares to move from this existence into the next dimension of life. The person may makes a seemingly out of character statement, gesture, or request which eventually indicates that he or she is ready to say Good-bye and is testing to see if family members are ready to let him or her go.

Given the above process, Mamang making those requests from the color motif of the wedding, her wish to have her wedding dress worn by Maya and that spontaneous hug shared by the DLR ladies when Maya thanked her for the gown and her final request of sleeping together just like before made so much sense.

9-11a.png

Andyan pa sila SC, friends niya, at family.
Hmmmm….okay I will behave, diversion ang kailangan niya to get over it.

Your turn now, SC!

Be Careful- SC lost his beloved wife Alex and their kids are, of course, greatly affected.

Ang minahal ko talaga sa show ay how these unfortunate turn of events are being handled by the characters.

The unexpected passing of Mamang caught everybody off guard as they had no inkling at all and everybody had been too tired and too happy of the previous day’s pamamanhikan. Shocked and in disbelief, Nanay T, Kute, Maya and Cho rushed Mamang with the help of the whole neighborhood and as the inevitable news spread, everybody just like the just prior event, pitched in and helped in any way they can to make all the necessary arrangements. The bayanihan spirit is so much evident even in death as the whole neighborhood stood strong for the Dela Rosa family as they faced the most difficult stage in their lives.

Sa pagbuhos ng ulan
Sa haplos ng hangin
Alaala mo ay nakaukit
Sa pisngi ng langit

Mamang may had been gone physically but her spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved her dearly especially her closest kin, Nanay T, Kute, Maya and Cho and the Lim family. Everything she had done in life will forever be that gentle reminder of how she had lived a full life with so much love, care that she showered and nurtured her family. She likewise received and had been reciprocated with love, care and nurturing from her family and friends. She had been Nanay T’s best friend, a doting Nanay, Mamang and Lola Mamang to Kute, Maya and Cho… the rock and steadfast anchor to the family; the source of laughter with her funny jokes and funny antics; the glue that bind the whole family; the foundation for all the wisdom she had bestowed the Dela Rosas; the protector, defender and strongest ally that family could always lean on.

While the death of Mamang left a heartache no one can heal in a long time, may the Dela Rosa family realized that the love their beloved matriarch had for them left a memory no one could ever steal from them for that love will forever be in their hearts. After all, memory has a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose. Although it may be difficult at this time to see beyond the sorrow, in the end may looking back in the memory helps comfort them in the days to come.
Ultimately, when someone they love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure… a treasure they all can carry within their hearts.

Trying to come to terms with the loss of a loved one is surely the most painful of life’s experiences. Regardless what sorrow and heartache one feels, grieving is a necessary passage and a difficult transition to finally let go of the sorrow, for grief is itself a cure, a personal and normal response to this life-changing event, a natural process that will lead to healing and the transition through such difficult time. And as one deals with death, constantly being pulled down emotionally, let humor divert the attention and lift the sagging spirits of the grieving loved ones as exemplified by Kute when she deliberately chose the recent picture of Mamang at the park.

While tears are God’s gift to us… there is sacredness in them… they are not the mark of weakness but of power… they speak more powerfully than a thousand tongues… they are envoys of overpowering grief, of unspoken love and our very own holy water for they heal as they flow… but may we accept that life is life… may we don’t cry for far too long when the sun is gone, simply because the tears may not let us see the beauty of the stars waiting in the horizon.

Haaaaay. Patapos na ang episode, at ako, pakonti konting iyak lang, so I thought, ay kaya ko ito! Pero that final scene of Maya and Ser Chief, ay grabeeee napahagulgol ako!!!  I saw myself kay Maya when my lola (the mother of my mom) passed away and si Mama eh super close sa kanya, iyak lang talaga siya ng iyak, she even brokedown nung mismong libing!

Yes, I agree. This episode depicts the REAL thing, yung nangyayari talaga kapag may lamay sa probinsya.

Your turn now, SC!

Sukiyaki 616Zel, you ext pressed yourself once more with so much emotion. Your line their h Mamang may have been gone physically but her spirit will forever be etched in their hearts and that she lived a full life brought me back to this poem, I wish I had written myself, that I like to share here.

(Author Unknown)
Weep not for me though I am gone into that gentle night.
Grieve if you will, but not for long upon my soul’s sweet flight.
I am at peace; my soul’s at rest there is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed for all those many years.
There is no pain; I suffer not, the fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts, in your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath, remember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death, but celebrate my life.

3. At ano ang ilalagay sa excuse letter ng Lim kids, Please excuse my son / daughter, the grandma of my fiancee died? Sabagay, makes sense!
5. Si SC nakakarami kay Maya, hihihi

MARIKYN GALICINAOPaalam Mamang!!!! We will surely miss you!!!

Today’s episode hits very close to home for many of us who has lost a parent/parents. It doesn’t matter how many years they have been gone from us, when something like this happens it seems to open up the wound all over again. Goodbyes are never easy…as a matter of fact, I think it is the hardest thing to say to a love one, especially when the parting is sudden like Mamang. Most of us have regrets… we did not tell our love ones how much we love them, or we let petty things come between us, and we never had a chance to apologize, we took each other for granted or we did not spend enough time with them. Whatever it may be, sometimes all those come pouring out us tears when we lose them to death.

Today’s episode reminds me, that our love ones can be taken away in the blink of an eye, and we should not waste a moment to let them know and show them how much we love them. We should say it often and much more, we should show it often, so that there is no doubt in there mind how much we love them.

Mamang…thank you for all the laughs you have shared with us for over a year. Someday when I am a grandma, I’ll be just like you…

BCWMH…you have covered all life’s challenges…we now look forward to life’s REWARDS!!!!!

And I’m crying again!!!

Why We Will Miss Mamang

May I just post a small tribute to our beloved Mamang…

Carla Palmeras what they say…some good things never last…what stick in my mind is how she touches jodi that night.. I know how it feels, losing a grandma…that’s why..we have to cherish every moment…time is short and just make the most of it…

Whoever thought of casting Divina Valencia in the role of Mamang a.k.a. Conchita Dela Paz, grandmother of Maya Dela Rosa, was a genius.

Ms. Valencia was a sexy actress in the 60s and 70s. But until the teleserye “Be Careful With My Heart” she was an unfamiliar face to the younger generation of televiewers. Once the show shot to fame, Mamang and the actress who breathe life into her, became a household name and a well-loved TV character.

She remains a beauty to this day. Something she never fails to emphasize in the series, whether among family or strangers. Her plus size makes her an imposing figure, perfect as the matriarch who is both adored and feared in the morning teleserye.

Mamang made a strong impact on avid “Be Careful…” followers. Her short quips leave everyone in stitches. She loves make-up, nice clothes and food that forever makes you young. She is zany, yet full of wisdom. When onscreen, Mamang never fails to make a marked appearance no matter how brief the scene.

But what viewers will always remember about Mamang is her deep love for her family, which includes daughter Teresita, granddaughters Cristina Rose and Maya, and great grandson Pocholo. Mess with anyone of them and she’ll come charging to their defense. She is truly a mother hen who would do anything to shield her chicks.

Lolita PolvorosaI can not help my self but to cry in these episode.
While watching the show, I did not notice that my eyes is like a river of water pouring out on my face.Sad talaga ang pag panaw ni mamang!
I salute to the Lim family to help and extended their time to stay in San Nicolas to help the De La Rosa to cope up their sorrows.
In these episode the the team of BCWMH truly portrayed to us the true pilipino, our bayanihan tradition. Good vibes talaga.
Good bye mamang I hope you will be happy to where ever you are going!

The little boy who bullied Cho would have been mincemeat if Mamang were not prevailed upon by Cristina Rose and Teresita. And she pointedly asked Maya’s future in-laws why they gave her granddaughter a difficult time.

A scene is always memorable with Mamang around, whether as spectator, reactor or instigator. She can both be a loud or comforting presence. Secretly, she thought of herself as invincible. That’s why she refused medication and continued to enjoy even those things bad for her.

Everyone thought Mamang would be around forever. She was overly excited about Maya’s impending wedding to her Sir Chief. And while things started on the wrong foot between her and Dona Esmeralda, Sir Chief’s mother, they eventually became best buddies.

Mamang truly lived life to the fullest, up to the very end. She died with a heart full of joy. And she went quietly into the night. Her family and friends will mourn her passing. As will supporters of “Be Careful With My Heart,” who consider her a part of their lives.

It’s rare for a retired senior actor to make such a successful comeback, albeit on the small screen. And it wasn’t even the main character, but one of several supporting ones. But as they say in showbiz, there really are no small roles, just small actors.

Her size more than speaks for her ability as a gifted actor. That we mourned her character’s passing only goes to show how much she is, and will always be, loved by the viewing public and the “Be Careful…” family.

Cecilia TanTunay na drama at nakakaiyak ang episode na ito, and it’s beautifully done. There was NO shrieking nor “hagulgol” on top of their lungs. They cried quietly & their grief was so REALISTIC. The part when Kute showed Mamang’s picture was funny and yet it was NOT tacky.

Hat’s off to the BCWMH team, ang galing galing at kahanga-hanga kayo talaga.

GIF Animation Viewer - GIFMaker.me

Even Divina Valencia could not believe the impact of her character on viewers. Today, people refer to her by the character’s name. Her earlier movies may have been buried in film archives, but to her new generation of fans, she will always be Mamang.

Thank you very much for a beautiful and well written tribute to Ms Divina Valencia aka Mamang. her contribution to the immense success of BCWMH will never be forgotten. she may greet us in a new persona in her forthcoming teleserye but she will always be Mamang to many of the adiks.

DENNIS VILLACORTELet me concur with kayo, that restraint and realism were on display here. The manner in which the discovery was handled, in muted slow motion with appropriate accompaniment, showed a very sensitive, non-melodramatic hand. Why resort to emotional cliches when the circumstances already supply the emotion? The audience’s adoration for Mamang, and the rest of the characters, was the other ingredient present (in abundance) making for a powerful episode.

I would like to take this positively and think na ganito kalaki impact ng show sa viewing public.
Good evening classmates. Like you, tulo-luha ko the whole time I was watching today’s episode. Super sad talaga, especially so when you lost a loved one already. Parang naaalala mo tuloy. BCWMH showed us kung ano ang pinagdadaanan ng isang pamilya kapag may nawalang mahal sa buhay, especially ang kaugalian sa probinsya na tulungan at damayan ng husto – from the immediate family, mga kamag-anak at mga kapitbahay. Tapos iyong support ng loved one mo like SC to Maya, sobrang nakakagaan ng loob at nakakatulong para makayanan ang lahat.

Hot WasabiGRIEVING MAMANG

Psychologist Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, in 1969, wrote a book “On Death and Dying” and proposes that there are five steps to the grieving process. It is known by its acronym: DABDA, which stands for Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. In Denial, the initial shock registers in the bereaved family members and it is most especially the prevalent reaction when the lost loved one dies quite unexpectedly. In our story, Mamang dies in her sleep. The picture of Mamang that Kute frames hints at the family being partly in denial of their loss. They feel that she is not truly gone and are talking as if she is going to enter the room anytime to complain about their poor choice and their deliberate misrepresentation of her. Mamang always wanted to look her best and this picture definitely is not how she would want to be remembered. Anger occurs when the family members feel the guilt at not being able to prevent the situation. In our story, Nanay Teresita, Kute and Maya discover that Mamang has not been taking her medication and are angry about it. They feel that her death could have been prevented if only she has been taking care of herself or if one of them has been monitoring her medication-intake. In this stage, a twinge of guilt also creeps in the mind leaving the person with thoughts of why this had to happen, this is so unnecessary, it is so preventable. Then, there is the Bargaining step, postponing the inevitable. This generally happens when people deal with terminal illness. They pray and bargain with God to heal the person who is ill and in exchange, they will perform X, Y and Z. However, in our story, since Mamang’s death is so unexpected, this step does not occur. Nevertheless, Maya expresses this step in how she represses her emotions, effectively suppressing her feelings, postponing her grief and choosing to stay strong for everyone else. Majority, however, experience Depression. Nanay Teresita is demonstrating this by staying in her room and refusing to see people. Cho is also expressing it by refusing to eat. Most depressed people do not have the appetite. It is important for family members to go through this process and not be rushed. Sometimes this process takes a short time but for most people, this process can take years. Then, there is the Acceptance stage when the bereaved family gets to the realization that their loved one is truly gone and that death is but a part of life. It is a signal, therefore, that it is time to move on. None of Mamang’s loved ones are in this stage yet. It is also important to point out that this whole process is not sequential. For a few, all these steps may occur all at the same time but for most, it does not happen in sequence and even for some, although they have already accepted the fact that their loss is permanent, they go back to feeling angry again or feeling guilty and blaming themselves that they didn’t do enough to prevent it from happening. They feel numb and just want to be left alone. Maya is essentially displaying a combination of these steps: denying Mamang’s death by shutting down, refusing to engage in the truth, but partly accepting it and dealing with it by keeping herself occupied. Kute also keeps herself in check by organizing the details for the funeral services thereby postponing her grieving process. The brunt of the whole truth will probably hit these two women like a ton of bricks after Mamang is buried. Then, they will have the luxury to let their guards down and, they will have no choice but to accept the fact that Mamang is really gone, forever.

Saw this pala at abs-cbnnews.com earlier.

http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/video/ent…character-dies

Hot WasabiAs the family grieves, the Lim family and the entire neighborhood, led by Simon, rally around them to provide them comfort and support. The bayanihan spirit kicks up into gear allowing people to play various roles to help. They welcome the people that come to pay their respects to Mamang, serve refreshments to the ones keeping vigil, organize the prayers, give or accept donation in the form of food or monetary contribution and provide comfort to the bereaved family. Richard demonstrates this by keeping an eye on Maya while Dona Esmeralda and Nikki get busy in food preparation, Luke greets and serves refreshments and Abby comforts Cho. It is also noted that when a loved one dies, the family members generally take a leave of absence from school and work.

In this episode, the writers portray how the Pinoy deals with grief and the traditional practices related to death. Here, they also compare and contrast the customs followed by the Filipinos of Chinese ancestry. Some are similar, such as not saying “thank you” when donation is offered and some practices are not, such as the wearing red to discourage ghost apparitions. In the Chinese culture, red, apparently, is a prohibited color during bereavement. In the Pinoy culture, serving noodles is prohibited while in Chinese it is acceptable. Other similarities and differences will definitely be introduced and explored in the upcoming episodes.

BCWMH truly mirrors true-to-life scenarios. In this episode, the writers successfully convey the myriad of emotions in dealing with grief and the manner in which our culture dictates how the whole process should be handled and the writers handle it with depth and sensitivity in deference to the two cultures represented herein. Watching this show feels like sitting in a seminar where sociology, psychology and anthropology are essentially all meshed into one class and beautifully presented in an interdisciplinary fashion. The result is a celebration of our rich tradition, an exploration into how we have adopted other customs and assimilated those into ours and portrays the Filipino as an innately generous human being. Bravo to the team that makes up this show! You delivered another superb episode!

Typical Maya talaga who is showing how brave and positive she is.

Pampa-GV kahit papaano:

I know ABS no longer subscribes to AGB. And besides, if Mega Manila sakop nito, luge ka sa ratings if regular daytime show ka then you’ll be pitted against a noontime show (timeslot alone). Also on several days, #1 sya sa daytime for Mega Manila.

Tita R@HW – can’t thank you enough for doing a synopsis of the book “on death and dying” by a psychologist. had you not acknowledged it outright with your firs sentence, i would have thought it is you personally who came up with these processes as you have skillfully woven DABDA in the episode we watched.
truth be told, i still go thru all the gamut of emos (DABDA) every now and then especially when triggered by watching a sad movie/video or epi such as what was shown today. tyvm, HW.

This is very true in a Filipino family. The support system is very strong, kaya di masyadong mahirap kapag namatayan. The story – line is realiatic. Totoo naman na kung minsan if we are too happy, there will be something to happen that will sadden us. Maganda ang pakakatugma-tugma ng story. Congrats sa mga creative writers- another Filipino tradition and values have been integrated in the show.

Hot WasabiHello M&Ms,
Today’s episode serves as a gentle reminder to all of us that “We know not when Death comes for us” hence we should always make sure that we hold no grudges or any hard feelings against anyone, most especially, the ones we love. Let us all remember to live fully, laugh often, love deeply and forgive freely. It is the way to live a happier life and maintaining a healthier heart. Peace y’all.

Win,
I, too, can totally relate to the scenes the characters portrayed. I felt like I was drawn into the screen and I was actually one of the people sitting in vigil in the room where Mamang is being viewed. But I love the realistic portrayal of everything in this episode and I respectfully disagree with sentiments shared on this page that expressed otherwise. Kudos to BCWMH and the clever way that you are portraying our customs and traditions when it comes to death and grieving. Ang galing galing ninyo. Tamang tama lang talaga ang inyong panempla.

T’aR,
When I watched this episode, although it has been decades since I lost my Lola and my Dad, I essentially went through the DABDA process again. I didn’t mind the tears, at all. It is cleansing and nothing cures a heavy heart than a really good cry.

Tingin ko, just as Maya was the catalyst in SC’s healing, ganun din ang effect ni SC kay Maya. Nakita niyo yung scene kung saan sinundan ni Maya ng tingin nung palabas si SC sa kusina? naka-smile si Maya doon in appreciation of what SC is doing for her and her family.

If the wedding would indeed be sped up, I think, it would also be more beneficial for Maya and her family. Love heals!!!

Baka until friday or maybe till monday.

I asked my kasambahay kung napanood niya and she told me, umiyak din siya all throughout na pinanonood niya. Normally, I watch an episode twice, more than kapag super kilig like the proposal and the pamamahikan, pero this one hindi ko pa kaya panoorin ulit!

Matinding lungkot nangingibabaw
Ikaw ang nagbigay nang saya sa buhay
Sinandalan ang magandang patnubay
Sa ‘yong huling araw lubos na kaligayahan
Tabi-tabi sa papag tayo’y nagsitulugan

Nang ikaw ay gumising si Maya nasilayan
Matamis ang ngiti nang nagbalik sa isipan
Masayang naidaos ang pamamanhikan
Pangarap sa buhay maisasakatuparan
Bahagyang hinaplos ang buhok at braso
Mistulang nagpaalam sa mahal na apo

Unti-unti ang iyong mga mata ay ipinikit
Ngiti sa labi at huling hininga sa isang saglit
Tinangka kang gisingin, pilit na buhatin
Sabay pag-yugyug umaasang ika’y buhayin
Kahit anong gawing sigaw, iyak at pakiusap
Hindi makapaniwala sa mga nagaganap

Marahil ang Maykapal sayo’y may ibang balak
Isang masayang lugar ika’y Kanyang ilalagak
Salamat ikaw ang naging aking Ina
Sa mga anak at apo nakilalang Lola
Di mawawaglit sa aking alaala
Sa araw-araw ipagdarasal kita

Wagas na pagmamahal iyong binaon
Sa langit kasama nang ating Panginoon
Hindi hindi ka malilimutan
Paalam, aking Mamang, paalam

Bernie RoqueI cannot stop crying. My heart is breaking for the De La Rosa family. I know it’s just a show but I cannot help being emotional because I went through the same thing that they will go through. I keep remembering the day before my brother passed away and the day he died. it was so unreal. Maya reminded me of myself when my brother passed away of how I had to be strong for my family and still do. I let them cry and grieve and when they need a shoulder to cry on, there I was. I did cry a lot but then I had stop crying and grieving for my family. Which in Maya’s case she shouldn’t because it will affect her after. She should cry a lot and lean on Sir Chief’s shoulder or else it will take longer for her to recover much longer that NT and Kute. She shouldn’t keep everything inside. If she needs to cry, then cry. If she needs to yell or be mad then do so. Just let it all out. Losing control doesn’t make you weak, it will actually make you stronger. Maya you lost Mamang just like NT, Kute, and Cho but it doesn’t mean that you cannot grieve along with them. Let someone else take care of you. The Lim family are dropping everything for you and your family well except for DR but the rest of the family are here for you. You should somehow take advantage of that. Heed SC’s advise to cry and rest. What’s the point of trying to get stronger when you cannot even be strong for you. Trust me I speak from experience. I was so busy taking of everything being the oldest that I forgot to take care of myself. I barely ate and slept then so one day I just found myself in bed and couldn’t get up. Like I said just grieve and cry along with your family. Also like SC time heal all wounds….it does. You just have to take baby steps…

3. Barthia din ako nung kapanahunan ng barthia, you can’t imagine my kileg nung nagdate sila sa SMB!

Maria TanThis particular episode shows a lot about family, tradition, values, everything is being integrated on it, the love and support from the Lim Family, specially SC says it all, i myself still grieving, i lost my husband six months ago and this show help me a lot in coping i trully appreciate the writers of the show, it’s very sad but realistic, I can see Myself in Maya, she wants to take care of everyone else in her family, she forgot that she is also grieving..

I will trully missed Mamang, …..I watch this episode multiple times and can’t stop crying…

So mas mapapaendear ka sa characters nila, I’m hoping for more PDA scenes from SC at Maya.

Pero Chenes and Jodi, may certain air of mystery sa real na banter and relationship nila offcam eh up until now and yun ang like na like ko!

Waaaaah sana pasado ang reaction paper!

Without a doubt sis………..

JOCHARD/SC-MAYA!!!

Zel MSa pamagat pa lang
Ng tulang iyong handog
Kurot sa nalumbay na puso
Ramdam na ramdam

Sa ikalawang talata
Huling linya’t dalawang salita
Kurot s puso’y tagos na tagos
Pati luha’y walang patid na umagos.

Lungkot na naramdaman
Pilit iwinawaksi sa isipan
Pagkat si Mamang ating minahal
Ngayo’y maligaya na kasama ng Panginoon.

Cynch HonradoHow do we cope with the loss of a loved one?

The Dela Rosas shows it in three different ways: Nanay Teresita in shock because Mamang has been there for her through thick and thin; Kute taking charge even with the great loss because she has always been standing in as the padre de pamilya; and Maya, the bunso was always focused on action and solutions so she has to gear herself to be strong for the family. But all feel the great loss of their beloved Mamang who has always showered them with unconditional love, wisdom and her happy disposition.

When Nanay Teresita found the box of medicines, the immediate reaction is to commiserate – “Mamang should have taken her meds and maybe she’ll be alive.” Sad to say though but I see it as Mamang making a choice. I do believe that at a certain point, we do decide when to stop for whatever reason. Not because we do not love our family, but because we do and the most important of all is because we feel it is time.

I like that Kute got the candid photo of Mamang taken at the park. Kute was right in saying, “it shows Mamang as she is….happy, looking at us.”

I have experienced three different degrees of coping with the loss of a loved one. First when I lost my Dad a week before my wedding, to this day I guess I was just guided……having the wedding three days after my Dad’s funeral, the reception obviously was subdued but a celebration nontheless but the grieving took a long time. The second was the loss of my sister. This time, I did not have time to grieve until after I have taken cared of everything because I had to take charge so that my Mom will not have a hard time. The third time was the loss of my Mom. The hurt was strong but I had to be stronger and the only way I knew how was to celebrate her life. I lost my anchor but because of how she brought me up, for Mommy, I was able to do what needed to be done and everything just fell into place. But the grieving took more than three years of processing.

Now Richard is concerned for Maya….she is trying her best to be strong. The Lims deciding to stay (even the children) will be the Dela Rosas added support aside from Simon, Lino, Bugoy and the neighbors.

I would like to celebrate Mamang’s life…….she was the mother of Nanay Teresita, and also her best friend. Always together in everything, always there for each other. She loves her grandchildren…..in sync with them in good times and the not so good……she does not like sad…….she feels it but will always have a rejoinder to break whatever it is and then boom, happy again. She takes whatever life gives her and enjoys it……remember the Christmas past, with Kute and Cho away with Jeff, and Maya in “Dubai” she knows where to go to while away the time so that she and Teresita will not emote….so they go to a friend for a karaoke night. But Mamang as Mamang she will also have her “moments” but after awhile be her happy self again. And in true Mamang Conchita fashion, she chose to go quietly in her sleep after caressing Maya, bidding her farewell, before she closed her eyes.

I will miss you Mamang Conchita. May God grant you eternal rest in peace and let perpetual light shine upon you.

Sundan and susunod na kabanata.

So true. I remember what happpened to my father.

Yeah. Ano siya eh, talagang what happens in real life, kuhang kuha nila.

Winnie R OntiverosToday’s episode brings us all a heavy heart …feeling every pain, every heartache, and every emotion stemming from the passing of Conchita “Mamang” de la Paz. It is sad to think that every time the scene is at San Nicolas that we will not see the beautiful Mamang on our screen anymore but rather on another teleserye that we may relate to or not. For whatever reason they made Mamang’s exit to the story permanent, it still saddens an avid fan, the constant viewer and me. She has been the one that added character to the story, and inflicted just the right amount of humor and wit and most of all, she exuded overflowing love that she so willingly shared on screen. She is a huge barrel of fun. Thank you Mamang for gracing our television screen (desk tops, lap tops, Ipad’s and smart phones). You sure are one of a kind. I SALUTE YOU!

Our story begins at the portion where it ended yesterday. Mamang imparted her wedding gown to Maya in the hopes she would wear it on her wedding day. (It is sad to think now that Mamang is no longer going to be part of that wedding….well, physically that is.) Even with Kute’s teasing Maya sincerely thanked her loving Grandmother and the scene ended with the four of them hugging one another, Maya and Mamang sandwiched between Kute and Nay T.

The story continues to the scene of the de la Rosa’s sleeping on the floor together, Cho and Kute on one end, Maya in the middle, Mamang next to Maya and Nay T at the other end. Mamang is seen massaging her head but she stopped after a while and just looked at the sleeping Maya. She had a beautiful smile on her face. Her lips were still pink. She caressed her hair and back and then she slowly closed her eyes. Unbeknownst to Maya, she was the last one seen by Mamang. (This is truly sad.)

The next day, Nay T, Kute, Cho and Maya were up getting breakfast ready. Nay T asked Maya to wake Mamang up so they could all eat breakfast. Maya went to the room and on the floor is Mamang still in the same exact position facing the spot where Maya slept. Maya shook her to wake her up. She felt her cold body. She started to worry. She moved Mamang and placed her on her back but she did not wake up. She shook her some more and then panicking, she placed her ear to her chest. At that point, Maya yelled for Kute and Nay T. Kute was the first person in the room followed by Nay T and Cho. Kute and Nay T tried to wake her up calling her name, slapping her face. They even sat her up but there was no reviving Mamang. Maya couldn’t do anything but watch as the three frantic over trying to rouse Mamang.

The neighbors were seen gathering outside the house. On the street is the vehicle open and ready to transport Mamang. There were a number of male neighbors helping one another carry Mamang down the stairs and into the vehicle. After a while, the de la Rosas returns from the hospital. Nay Teresita is in a catatonic stance as she walks passed everyone. She stopped in front of Simon who was standing there to find out what happened. She couldn’t speak. She just let her body fall into Simon’s arms as he takes her upstairs. He too was visibly shocked. Behind them was Maya standing just looking up at the house. She is numb from the experience. The Lim’s rented van service arrives. Richard runs to Maya. He turns her around. Maya’s eyes were deepset and lifeless but she had no tears. He looked at her and asked about Mamang. She shook her head ever so lightly as she stared back into Richard’s eyes. He couldn’t do anything but embrace her. He is devastated. Dona E and Don R were behind Richard sharing with their grief.

I was moved. I can relate to the story after loosing my dad in March of 2010 followed by my mom on July 2010. I like how ABS-CBN puts a a show for kapamilya kasi all the teleserye na pinapalabas nila ay napupulutan ng aral at sumasalamin sa buhay ng mga audiences nila. Kagaya nitong Be Careful With My Heart, may mga magagandang lessons in life showing a strong bind ng family dahil sa magandang relasyon na ipinapakita ng mga pamilya. Kudos ABS-CBN and more power! God Bless.

Evelyn DuncanThe death of Mamang is indeed a very sad twist in this show. But I salute the creative writers for showing another Filipino tradition. Very realistic, I myself gets emotional and starts crying, I know how it feels to loose someone you love. I went through this when my brother died, it
is too sudden. I will always remember him, he is a good doctor, saves so many life and one day he we lost him. He went to sleep and did wake
up anymore.

#noactingacting#

Me lasheng???

Hish drunk!!! Ahihihi!!

Promise ang benta nito sakin! The whole scene in the sala talaga, SC na lasheng making pakyut and pinagpipilitan na he’s not drunk eh lasheng naman talaga, and then si Maya na galit galitan kunwari kay SC. Parang I got a glimpse kasi of how they will be pag mag-asawa na sila!

SANA

Winnie R OntiverosUpstairs, everyone sat or stood where they could. No one really talked about anything. They were just there showing their utmost respect for the family and sharing the grief of their loss. They watched Kute walk in the room to tell Nay T that she had arranged for the body and the casket. They are to deliver Mamang in the afternoon. Kute broke down to the arms of Simon who was there for support. Maya kept her arms around Nanay Teresita who is still catatonic. The camera spans around the room. Cho is comforted by Abby. Dona E’s face was buried into Don R’s shoulders. Richard, Nikki and Luke were visibly saddened for the loss of Mamang. They are after all FAMILY. Maya kept strong, no tears.

The preparation for the wake continues. The casket with Mamang’s body arrives and was set up by the window of the front of the house. The flowers follow. There were so many people it isn’t clear who are the neighbors helping, who are from the funeral homes and who are bystanders. No matter what role they play, they were all there sharing with the de la Rosas the grief of losing the matriarch of the family. (This scene is a lot like how it was when my great grandmother passed away at the province. I also have to say that the violin music they chose to play as background is so haunting.)

Cho sits at a corner in the room talking to his Papa Pards. He is comforted by his father and he is heard telling him that he is going to try not to cry after all, he is now a big boy. Pards asked for Kute but Cho said she is busy doing something in Mamang’s room. He promised Cho he would call Kute back later. Kute walks out to the front room where the casket sits. She brought the picture she choose for the casket. She showed it to Nanay Teresita who is sitting at the sofa next to the casket. Maya was standing next to her. When Kute shows it, Maya took the towel on her shoulder and placed it over her mouth for she wants to laugh. It was a perfect picture of her with a chicken drumstick on her hand showing how Mamang truly is. She was fun, funny and so lovable. Even Nay T who was catatonic started to wake up. She laughed/cried at the picture. Kute places the framed photo on top of the casket and mouthed off that she is the one that was so excited over Maya’s wedding but she didn’t even make it long enough to see her wed. It is a sad scene. When Lino came upstairs to bring some flowers, he looked at Mamang’s picture and I can’t even begin to describe the look on his face. This time I laughed so hard. He sure is Dolphy’s son for he didn’t have to say a word but he could make one laugh at mid cry. Ha ha Maya covers her face with the towel again for she wants to laugh her head off. Bwahaha (This is my favorite part of this episode)

The Lims arrive. Richard tells Bugoy he brought groceries in the trunk of the car. They slowly pile up the stairs. Cho sits at the top of the stairs. Abby sees him and takes a hankie and gives it to Cho. (Aaawww Abby, you truly are a sweet little girl. Your Ate Maya instilled in you such good traits of compassion.) Abby sits next to him on the steps. They pay their respects. One by one they greeted Nay Teresita. Richard looks for Maya. He asks her if she is ok. Maya stares at him and with a forced smile and false strength, she tells Richard she needs to be strong for them. She pauses to keep her emotions in. Richard could see her struggle. He embraced her and tenderly caressed her hair. Maya hears her mother tell the Senior Lims, Luke and Nikki what happened last night. She told them about Mamang’s premonition telling them not to be overly happy because it means something sad would happen next. She breaks down in front of the Lims.

Sweety PieSobrang sad this episode but sobrang galing the way they did it parang nasa set ka rin coz you can really feel the pains, sorrows, sadness
& loss….but entailing with Filipino tradition of pakikiramay and all by Lim Family, whole friends & neighbors of San Nicolas…
We will miss Mamang’s presence but she will always be in our hearts… Excellent job BCWMH team…BRAVO & SALUTE…

I cried the whole time.

Winnie R OntiverosIn the other room, Kute covers up the mirror when Simon walks in to check up on her. He scared Kute when he snuck up behind her. He asked Kute if she really must cover the mirror? Kute said yes, because she doesn’t want to see Mamang put on make up in front of the mirror. (This is another superstitious belief of Filipinos.) Maya digs on her chest drawer for any red shirt she could find. Richard finds her. She asked him if he thought the red shirt she is holding might fit Abby? Richard was shocked at the color red. Maya explains to Richard that there is an age-old superstition that to wear something red would prevent the spirit from apparition. Richard told Maya that in their Chinese culture, they couldn’t wear red at a funeral. Maya said, it is only for children. At the dinning table, Abby is urging Cho to eat. In walk Nikki and Luke asking for more food to distribute outside. Kute remembers their last night. She said it was very unusual that Mamang was so affectionate. She wanted them all to sleep together because she wants them to be together forever. Maya walks in with the red shirts. They send off Cho and Abby with Simon to change. Outside in the living room area, Richard listens in to Maya and Kute’s conversation. Maya and Kute decided to make arrangements for the burial in the morning. Maya asked Kute if they are going to bury Mamang very soon? She feels that they don’t need to keep vigil for very long after all they are not waiting for any relatives to come. Kute agrees but she tells Maya that they should consult with Nanay Teresita first. Then Maya tells her she does not want just any old hertz to take Mamang to her final resting place. Kute tells Maya that would be very expensive. Maya said for her not to worry. Even if she spends all of her savings, as long as it is for Mamang, she is willing to commit. Richard listens in and seemed pleased at Maya’s graciousness.

In the kitchen, Nanay Teresita is frantic over the food and drinks that they seem to be running out of. She mentioned to Maya and Kute that they were not able to plan for it. Kute told her no one could plan something like this. It happened quickly. Maya eased her mother’s mind when she said Kute and her would go out to get some more food in a little while. Nanay Teresita seemed ok with that. In Manila, Doris, Sabel and specially Manang Fe were also saddened by the sudden passing of Mamang. They talked about not being able to properly say goodbye to her. Doris and Sabel will miss her beauty tips. Manang Fe said she is going to ask the church to pray for her soul. She also said that they must call Richard so they could talk to Maya and to send her their love and deep condolences. When Manang Fe left the room, suddenly a breeze from the window moved the curtain. Doris and Sabel suddenly scared out of their wits ran out of the room. (A belief that spirits of the dead often go around to visit people they know. This made Sabel and Doris jumpy.) In San Nicolas, Richard gets the phone call from Manang Fe and he went upstairs to find Maya. In the kitchen where Maya, Kute and Nanay Teresita were, Richard walks in to Nay T saying thank you to the Senior Lims for their support for her family. Dona E tells Nay Teresita not to worry. After all they are FAMILY. Richard hands the telephone to Maya. Maya speaks to Manang Fe. In the background, Doris and Sabel send their love and condolences. Manang Fe’s message to Maya was simple. She needs to be strong and keep herself together. They are there to support her. Lastly she said for them never to say Thank You. It is taboo. (Another superstition that doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe someone else in this forum could give us a reason why one couldn’t say Thank You to another at a funeral?)

Winnie R OntiverosThe preparation in the kitchen continues. The Lim family took care of the guests outside to help out. While fiddling around in the kitchen, Nay T finds a box hidden under one of the shelves. It was Mamang’s medicine. Kute reacted to it. She was so disappointed to know that Mamang has been hiding her medicine instead of taking them. Nanay Teresita started to cry again. Maya took them both together in her arms and told them that the three of them must keep together and be strong. Kapit –bisig!

Richard decided to cancel his flight to stay behind. Dona E said she wants to stay behind too to help. Don R is unable to do that because he has plenty of meetings and he needs to prepare for their leaving for China the following week. Dona E tells Don R she did not expect him to stay. Besides, the kids need company to go back home. The kids begged Richard to stay. They too want to help. Luke said they could get excused from school. Abby tells Richard she does not want to leave Cho. Richard decided she would call Liza to rebook their flights and Manang Fe to call their school. In the true sense of Kapit-Bisig, looks like the Lims are staying except for Don R.

Richard looks upstairs to look for Maya. He finds her in the kitchen pouring drinks. He asks Maya how Nay T is? Maya said she is with Kute. She keeps on crying. Maya tells Richard she feels bad for Nanay Teresita because it looks like she isn’t gonna make it. Richard nods in understanding. Maya tells Richard that Nanay Teresita is a Momma’s girl. Mamang never left her side especially when her father left her. Mamang is also Nanay Teresita’s helpmeet in raising her and Kute. Then in a more excited voice, she tells Richard that Kute was the first one to call her Grandmother Mamang. It was because she was always confused who her mother is between Nay T and Mamang. Suddenly Maya had this lump on her throat. She paused and couldn’t say a word. Her eyes were about to well up but she, once more, kept it together and forced to retract her emotions. She wipes her face with the towel on her shoulder. Richard could see her struggling. He couldn’t do anything but to console her. He told her that it is ok to cry, after all, Mamang is her Grandmother and she loves her. Of course, Maya said. But there are a lot of things to do yet. She is allowing them (Nay T and Kute) time to grieve while she takes care of the other things. She started to pick up the tray of drinks. Richard stopped her. Maya said it’s ok. She will manage. But Richard tenderly held her arm. He told her they are family. He understands that she wants to take care of everything but right now she needs to rest. Maya couldn’t do anything but to succumb to Richard’s warm and loving embrace. (This scene touches me so much I couldn’t move for a while.)

Next Time on BCWMH

Aling Ebing asked Nay T and Kute if Cho is wearing red? Kute said yes but she doesn’t think that was necessary. Aling Ebing reminded Kute that Cho is Mamang’s only great grandchild and she might show her ghost to him and scare him. Kute walks up to Mamang’s casket and looks down on her body. She tells Mamang that she should show herself to Kute so she could talk to her. Manang Fe, Doris and Sabel call up Dona E. They asked how they are doing? Dona E tells them that she and Nikki are making snacks for the guests and later they are going to make spaghetti. “Spaghetti?” Doris and Sabel said in chorus. (I really don’t understand what is the fuzz over making spaghetti during a wake? Help help forum mates!) It seems Don R is saying his goodbyes to the de la Rosas. Nay T said she understands that it is against the superstitions to say Thank You at a wake but she has to do it. She told Don Roberto thank you for all the loving support they have extended to their family especially during these times. Downstairs, Don Roberto asks Richard if he is ok. Richard tells him he will be fine but it is Maya he is worried about. Don R tells Richard she’ll get over it. Richard asked him “what if she doesn’t?” Richard sits next to Maya at the balcony chair and holds her close to him. Maya is still unable to release her emotions.

(That is it. I can’t go on. I have been crying all night and all morning over this episode. It is so sad. It made me feel how I felt when my father passed away. It just seems so real. Our roller coaster seemed to take a deep dive into the lowest point. The good news is, it could only go up from here. In the meantime, we hang on.)

Close to REALITY talaga episode kanina…

Cute nila dito

DENNIS VILLACORTEMaraming salamat po, Ate Winn, for your thorough and sensitive synopsis. Reading this immediately after watching, and crying through, the episode, I was able to appreciate the story much better with all of the details you have filled in for me. Yes, let us salute Divina Valencia for bringing us to tears (both ways)! Her portrayal brought so much to BCWMH, and may her next endeavor be as successful.

I agree with your praise of JSM in another thread for the powerful restraint she shows in this episode. But Richard Yap’s portrayal of the loving fiance, who takes great pains to give Maya her space to grieve, should be commended as well.

Vonna VerCant control the tears falling from my eyes im sad and nanghihinayang divina valencia to be out of the cast which perfectly potrait the role as mamang, she was a good role model reminds me of my lola not drinking her medicine coz its too expensive all she wants is to graduate in this world same as with my dad, they both have high blood pressure, ang ugale nga naman ng old tunay na pinoy me kunsensya ayaw ng pabigat.

My fave is the 3rd one~!!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! Doesn’t Maya look like a very much willing victim to you?

One of my most fave lines…
“Ikaw ha. Sumosobra ka na.”

1st pic 2nd row, parang totoong humihingi si RY ng kiss at umiwas si Jodi.

Hot WasabiHi Win,
I still feel choked up when I think of Mamang’s death. This episode reminds me of when my grandmother passed away.
The characters of this show do such an excellent job depicting what it is like to lose a loved one. A very commendable portrayal of a loving fiance in Richard as he shows his love and support to Maya. He shows how concern he truly is of her welfare and willingly fills in for the family where he feels help is needed. The Lim family truly and genuinely show their support and love for the Dela Rosa women, as well. They fill in where they can. Seeing all of them work together, and willingly doing what they can to help, is so heartwarming, knowing that in Manila they have servants. Here, they willingly serve. (Excuse me, I have to blow my nose, yet, again.) Thanks for the thorough summary and taking the time to explain some of the practices and why it is done.

Linda BernardoI was crying the whole time while watching this episode. It brought back memories of losing a loved one. In my case I lost three members of my family (mom, dad, and a brother) within 30 month period. I learned couple of things during this sad occasion; like not saying thank you, wearing red so the departed loved one will not make “dalaw”. The rest of the practices as this episode depicted we do the same way. It goes to show BCWMH mirrors real life and reel life situation in good times and bad times.

Here in the US in Filipino community where I reside, one of our practices during viewing we feed people same food as in this episode and/or a complete meal. Relatives and friends bring food to help out just like potluck but the bereaved family will not accept food made of noodles.

Ang linaw ng pagkakanguso ni Chenes!!! Haaaaaay!!!

Sis Mishie, thanks so much for these kilig slo-mo clips. Marami kang extra credits for this project! No hint at all of what is to come…

Thank you for this, nice break from all the sadness we are feeling at the moment.

Linda BernardoI refuse to watch this episode over and over unlike what I did with the rest of the episodes, because I know I will profusely cry.l

Instead I choose to read this forum, this too made me cry, the impact is the same as the reel life scenarios. Added bonus to this forum, the views, comments, practices, real life experiences are shared by posters. It also highlights different superstitions, the differences of Filipino and Chinese practices and traditions.

Most importantly, bayanihan, kapit-bisig are well depicted here. No matter how sad this episode, it imparts family values, traditions and learnings that younger generation can emulate..

Kay Amorwe’ve cried and laughed with several episodes..those tears were different..but in this episode..we cried because we mourned with the de le rosa family..
hmmm… I knew it..the creative staff never fails to disappoint us..they did it so well …BCWMH indeed tackled a lot of aspects in our daily lives…and death is not an exclusion…..why would they not include death? after all we will experience death in the family. and it’s gonna happen to us…I salute BCWMH for a job very well done..AGAIN.

… I didn’t use kleenex by the way… i used my small towel..in this episode..:)

What I see naman kasi with them, nung simula feeling ko halos hindi nag-uusap yang dalawang yan eh, kasi wala naman silang kenekshens before this di ba? Step by step, nung kinaya ang holding hands, naging akbayan, longer and tighter hugs, sweet dance and then napunta na sa kiss. Gusto ko yung may ilangang ganyan, kasi my mind would like to think na kung actors lang talaga kayo, eh kasama yan talaga sa work unless…

MARIKYN GALICINAOTalagang BAYANIHAN…Last night nag lamay kami sa work with all the adik nurses. We brought pandesal, enseymada, puto and had coffee while watching today’s episode. Iyakan kaming lahat!!

Usually a basin full of suka is by the doorway. It’s suppose to rid of the evil spirit.

Marinela Nolasco
Life’s ups and downs well portrayed in this episode. I thought I was a part of those in mourning, Akala ok I was in San Nicolas . the whole cast did it very well, as always. At si sc and maya, they showed how much they love and cared for each other…haaaaay Naku, this show really should NOT end…ang galling kasi.

They are actually on the way there. Yung scenes before, during after proposal, I feel like they have reached a certain comfort level BUT meron pa ring something eh, that mystery, may holding back pa na konting konti na lang! Na wish ko eh ibigay na nila!

Ang habaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Wag niyo na basahin!

Zel MSis Win, I truly admire your dedication and your drive to write your offering given the emotions that the episode puts us viewers thru from start to finish and putting everything in words with your bucketfuls of tears and singhot here and there, I will have to give you around of applause and a standing O at that… Am sure going thru the scenes is like reliving the emotions each time and every time…I’ve only watched it twice but mugto na yung mata ko, how much more with you… I definitely will give this one to you, you outdone yourself again and again. Bravo Sis!!!

And quite honestly, am not that familiar with all the pamahiin, I just followed the elders as they all knew all the beliefs and superstitions. But watching the pamahiins, me thinks it would be nice if there would be compilation of all these superstitions and perhaps the reason behind these superstition. Am not really sure if there’s ever an in depth documentation of such after all, these are all part of our history, customs and traditions… it would be really nice to keep records of all these pamahiins for the future generations’ appreciation. what do you think Minks/Monks?

#anditonanamantayo

The part I got most affected was Maya trying to hold back her tears and SC telling her na okay lang umiyak. I was in my daughter’s school kasi may event, syempre sobrang adik may dala akong tv phone para di ko ma-miss ang episode today, muntik na ako maiyak sa gym nung school… buti na lang napigil ko… pero naramdaman ko na naginit na ang mata ko.

Partida, we already knew several days ago that this is going to happen, dapat mejo naready na natin ang sarili natin, but then again iba pa din talaga pag pinapanood mo na. Ang gagaling pa nga ng acting nila esp, Kute, Maya and NT.

And another thing…i noticed this ad by the station mentioning how the primetime bida is somehow the best dahil maraming mapupulot na aral daw..disagree ako kasi so far since nagstart ang be careful..that’s the one thing that’s been a part of the show e yung mga mabubuting aral na pinapakita nila

Nathalie CamposFrom start to finish i was crying it brought back the memory of how my mom died, but all i can say is everything happens for a reason, this just might be a show played by great actors but the impact is very strong that it really touched our hearts

Great performance by Sylvia, Aiza and Jodi! Jodi’s (under)acting was superb! Her co-actors should be very honored and thankful to be acting alongside her. Any lesser actor could very well be eaten alive by her performance in highly emotional scenes such as this.
*********************************************************

Be Careful- SC lost his beloved wife Alex and their kids are, of course, greatly affected.

Connie StubbsI never really expected that the writers would be this cruel to us all. It was so painful to watch this episode, I cried a river for Mamang. Magang-maga ang mata ko bukas.

As the saying goes, there’s two things that is certain here on earth: tax and death. Pero, is it really necessary to kill her character?

I’ve learn a lesson though from this episode, from now on I will take my blood pressure pill religiously. Goodnight kapamilya . . . .

Mari CarranzaIt’s a very heartaching episode. I could see how worried SC was with Maya. The Lim’s family is very supportive from DE & DR to the kids, manang Fe, Sabel and Doris… You could tell how much the Dela Rosa family touched their lives. I cried while watching this episode because it reminded me when my lola died. I hope Maya and her family can cope with their lose. Condolence to the Dela Rosa family.

Ang minahal ko talaga sa show ay how these unfortunate turn of events are being handled by the characters.
