Winnie R OntiverosLuke and Abby stands at the top of the stairs to greet the people coming to the wake. Simon noticed that both Luke and Abby were saying thank you to the people that were leaving as well. He had to explain to Abby that it is ok to greet them but she must not see them out when they leave. Luke remembered that it is a pamahiin (superstitious belief or beliefs not based on reason). Abby asked what is pamahiin? Simon explained to her that they are beliefs that we inherited from our ancestors many many years ago. They are things we are accustomed to following. Abby asked Luke when their Mom passed away if they also had pamahiin. She couldn’t remember because she was still so young then. Luke said there were but there are more to remember and to follow in the province. (Abby’s mind is so full of questions during her first experience at death that she could truly understand. This time though she is much more prepared for she knows the feeling of losing a loved one permanently. I think more than anything, Abby might be the one to break Maya’s shell so Maya could allow herself to grieve. I hope that the creative writers take this idea. I think it is brilliant ha ha – sorry I am getting off my soapbox now. )

In the living room, Nanay T seemed to be in a catatonic stage again sitting, leaning her head on the wall post and staring at nothing. It could be exhaustion or still feeling of emotion; trying to absorb everything that happened as Mamang turns their lives upside down. For whatever reason, she is just sitting there. Next to her is Kute who stands by her at all times. Kute has been Nay T’s anchor during this time. She’s held her hand, she’s walked with her, talked to her. She has kept Nay T afloat like she always does while Maya is away in Manila. Kute is much better at balancing her emotions and keeping her mind straight. She is in total control emotionally and physically. She rests when she needed to and then spares her energy for she knows longevity is the key to these wake and vigil. She is not shy to ask for help but takes charge when needed. She is the anchor; the big foundation to the de la Rosas at this time.

Aling Ebing and Aling Jeannie arrive. They go to see Mamang and react at the funny but natural picture of Mamang. They observe many things about the dead in the casket as there are numerous beliefs. They started off at the Rosary. They were not sure if Mamang had a Rosary? Kute assured them she does. Ebing asks if they cut the Rosary? Kute wasn’t sure. If a rosary is placed in the hand of the dead prior to burial, its string should be snapped because continuity in the beads will mean another death in the family. (Ahh ok) The Jeannie asked if they also included in the coffin “pakimkim”? (money that is usually given to a person you sponsor; loot) Kute wasn’t sure. Jeannie insists that they must have such thing and then right before they bury her, they should take this money because it will be good luck for business. (oh really? Wow! No wonder I am not lucky in business ha ha. I should have had a pakimkim) Kute told the two ladies that the people from the funeral home will be along a little later. She said she will ask them to please open the casket so she could see if the rosary is cut and put pakimkim…Kute has this “Whatever with a capital W” attitude at this time. But the ladies are not done yet. Ebing asked Kute if Cho is wearing red? Kute said Maya got him to do so but she thinks Cho is no longer a baby. Ebing stressed to Kute that Cho is Mamang’s only Great Grandson. She might ghost him and scare him. Kute stood up and came to the casket. She spoke to Mamang and said, “In that case you should come and show yourself to me so I could talk to you.” (Wow really?)

Shayne A.Love, love, love all the good values they had impart to our televiewers ang pinaka winner ang physical, emotional and financial support ng LIM Family sa Mga Dela Rosa talagang bawing bawi sila Kay Maya dahil Kung iisipin natin noong bagong pasok si Maya bilang yaya ni Abby parang nagluluksa ang pamilya ni Richard sa pagkawala ni Alex kahit na limang taon na nakalipas yun, ngunit nagbago Ito dahil sa pagmamahal, pagtiyatyaga at supporta na ipinamahagi ni Maya sa kanila para sila ay mabuo at nanumbalik ang tiwala, tuwa at saya sa pamilya Lim and we all know Richard is greatly appreciative sa lahat ng efforts ni Maya, kaya ngayon ibinabalik Lang Ito ni RIchard sa kanya. Kahit malungkot ang nangyari sa Mga Dela Rosa on a brighter side you can see that Richard is all over Maya’s place sa kuwarto, kusina at sa sala nila and always in check Kay Maya 🙂 at Hindi mawawala ang konting kilig when Maya fell asleep in Richard’s arms hay ang sarap sigurong maging asawa si Ser Chief 🙂 ok bukas ulit Mga ka-adiks!

Gabriela Maria L.E.Heartbreaking though that episode was, I laud BCWMH for that risk they took in order to reflect some of life as it is.  We lose people to other countries and we lose people to death but we endure and survive and prevail and stand together and with each other in both good times and difficult times.  I think it is very brave of BCWMH and for this they stand head above shoulders among their contemporaries.

I appreciate naman how Lim family stayed with Maya’s family and help them… nakabawi sila ng husto especially DR and DE,
but i am still looking forward sa mga efforts ni SC for Maya, the most hurtful part kasi ng namamatayan are the days after ng libing, yung kapag wala na yung mga tao, kayo-kayo na lang, and minsan when you are just alone.

Tee PeeI have really wanted to avoid watching yesterday and today’s episodes because I know, they would not be the usual “feel good” episodes.
My life is already full of MMK moments and I said to myself, I really don’t want to be reminded of those sad memories esp. my Mom’s death.
But since I love this show so much and I believe in the BCWMH team, I still watched and just got done with 2 episodes in a row. And I am glad I did.
I CRIED MY HEART OUT! It was really sort of like a cleansing ritual, a release of all the emotional overload and built up junk I’ve kept for years.
Whew!

Death and dying, as grim and depressing as it may be, can be life changing and a lot can be learned about these two.
As a nurse, I see this all the time in my line of work, yet I still tend to ignore or not delve into the prospects of death.
These are 2 topics that a lot of us are reluctant to talk about because of the ill feelings associated with it. I can’t imagine the thought of me dying before my kids get older or of losing them as well. waaaaaaah! I am in tears again…whooo…
Anyway, I am so reluctant to think about my own death or the death of my own loved ones that I just go on living like I would live forever.
But really, we should think of the possibility of death and come to terms with it so we can be prepared when it finally comes.
We are alive, therefore we will die….a simple truth. But, for now, I will just push it back in the back burner and think of happy thoughts. ( I don’t know where I am going with these thought processes and I know I sound so wishy washy on what I am trying to convey…have not really seen the end of the dot line yet…could not connect the dots…ha ha ha…)

Anyway, I will try a different route.
Okay, I am copying and pasting, with a few changes, what I have posted in a previous episode ( Aug. 20 ) coz I really believe in it’s importance.
Since BCWMH team has addressed hypertension, I might as well do the same.
I am going to use this forum to share all the information I have and what I am passionate about.

I am a Critical Care Nurse since 1984 and I have seen so many cases of patients having a heart attack or a stroke just because they did not know the symptoms, or they forgot to take their blood pressure medications or just did not know they have high blood pressure. A heart attack which presents with chest pain is different from a stroke ( headache is one symptom) but both are related to having high blood pressure. I believe that Mamang suffered the latter.
Hypertension is dubbed as a silent killer because many people don’t even know they have it and high blood pressure has no symptoms or warning signs. But when elevated blood pressure is accompanied by abnormal cholesterol ( which Mamang had ) and elevated blood sugar levels, the damage to your arteries, kidneys, and heart accelerates exponentially. When and if you do have EXTREMELY elevated blood pressure, called a hypertensive crisis, that is when the symptoms show up like headaches, double vision, dizziness and fainting. By then, it would be too late. A vessel in the brain may rupture which could cause hemorrhagic stroke causing bleeding in the brain. I had a patient a week or so ago who had a severe headache but just went to bed to rest, thinking having a good night’s sleep would make it go away. She had a history of hypertension but did not have insurance and could not afford to buy BP medicines. The next day, the family found her, barely breathing, called the ambulance but by the time she got to the ER and had a CT scan of the head, she had a massive intracranial hemorrhage due to a ruptured vessel. It was too late. Not even the best neurosurgeon in town can help her. Fortunately, high blood pressure is easy to detect and treat. Sometimes people can keep blood pressure in a healthy range simply by making lifestyle changes, such as losing weight, increasing activity, and eating more healthfully. Studies have shown that just by losing 5-10 lbs dramatically lowers blood pressure. Here are the links that can be viewed at your leisure that explains more about hypertension. Winnie R OntiverosIn the kitchen, Nikki and Dona E were busy making hors d’oeuvre and sandwiches for the guests when Dona E’s phone rings. It is Manang Fe. They are checking in with the Lims. Manang Fe told Dona E that Doris and Sabel will personally go to the kid’s schools to excuse them from school. Dona E asked Manang Fe if she’s gotten hold of Liza? Richard supposedly asked her to please take care of Time Airways because Richard is unable to get hold of Jaime (as in Capt. James Ventura – Wow Bongga! Ser Chief is pulling his power strings and going directly to the son of the owner who happens to be the vice president of the “Sawi sa Pag-ibig” gang of Maya’s admirers; Simon being the president ha ha). Manang Fe confirmed with DE that Liza is personally going to Time Airways to take care of that tomorrow as well. DE was pleased to hear everything is in motion. MF asked how everyone is doing? DE gave her a heads up that her and Nikki are making food for the guests. She also said that later, she would be cooking spaghetti. Dorbel having heard this reacted quickly. MF told DE that it would not be a good idea to cook noodles at a wake to avoid prolonged vigil. MF told DE that spaghetti could be considered a form of noodle. They suggested that she cook soup instead. (Good idea Sabel that is why you are the cook.) Manang Fe asked DE how are everyone there? DE said that it is very devastating to be there right now. MF said that they all wished they were there to extend their condolences and offer their help for Maya and the family. Nikki overhearing this said she has an idea of how they could make them be part of the wake. She told Manang Fe to ask Kuya Joma to connect with her on Skype. The three women in Manila got really excited.

The pamahiin continues as the people from the funeral home arrive to open the casket. Maya, Richard, Don R, Kute and Nanay T were all present in the living room including Ebing and Jeannie and many others that were there hanging out. The people from the funeral home opened the casket. Nay T couldn’t help herself. She stood up, cried and tried to hug Mamang when Ebing hurried up and pulled her away while holding her head back. She is trying to avoid Nay Teresita’s tears from falling into the dead person’s body. I guess it might mean bad luck because she pulled her back like she was going to do a judo move on her. (I think this one’s a little too excessive Aling Ebing. I don’t care if you gave her the cutest little suckling pig, you have no right to do our judo damoves on Nay Teresita ha ha) Kute asked Nay T if she is ok? She nodded her head. Don R sat next to Nay T feeling bad for her. Kute stood up to look inside the casket for the Rosary. She saw this was broken so she announced that is one pamanihin they don’t have to worry about. Then all the other people started to give her money to place in the coffin signifying the ”pakimkim”. Richard suggested that they should close the casket immediately. Ebing asked him why? Is there a belief about that too? Richard’s answer was more logical and made sense. He said it is more for their safety. They must not allow long exposure to formaldehyde. (ummmm Yeah that makes perfect sense Richard. Go go go!)

In the kitchen Dona E was skyping with MF, Dorbel and Joma. In this scene, they start to enumerate more pamanihin starting with 1. The visitors of the wake are not allowed to bring food home. 2. Before going back to the hotel, they have to stop somewhere to shake off the deathly spirits. (of course there are a million others that were already mentioned. As Zel suggested one should probably have a list of all these superstitious beliefs that we might just be privy to it…tell our kids about it for they are part of our culture.) At this time, DR walks in with Richard asking if they already made food for Maya and her family? DE said yes and they turned the Ipad over to R & DR so they could wave hello. Richard said they are going to get Maya and the family so they could eat and rest. DE wanted to come so she could show MF and the rest the wake.

(mahirap nga naman pagsabayin ang taping , tapos iba pa nilang commitments, kawawa nga naman sila kaya okay na rin marami pang pagkakataon para sumali )

Meaning to say, priority pa rin ang teleserye and it is still doing well. Pero sayang, chance na sana for RY and Jodi to have a movie. And sayang rin, dahil hindi natin magawang blockbuster ang BCWMH the movie kasi di nga matuloy.

Hot WasabiTHE SEPARATION

There are many ways to separate oneself from the group one identifies with. There is the temporary separation, the extended separation and the permanent separation. It goes without saying that separation is twofold: physical and psychological. Both aspects cannot be divorced from the other; they come like a coin, with two sides. In our story, the writers allow the exploration of these various types of separation in the lives of the Family Dela Rosa.

First, the family experiences its first separation when Maya decides to work outside of San Nicolas. Maya’s quest to lift the family from poverty and her desire to become a flight attendant give her the motivation to make such a difficult decision. She realizes that San Nicolas will not be able to provide her the opportunity to realize her goals in life. In order to do so, she wrenches herself from the loving circle of her family to try her luck out in the world. In the end, she happily fulfills her ambition of financially supporting her loved ones and working at her dream job with Time Airways. Although physically apart, she occasionally affirms her connection to the family through phone calls, care packages and frequent remittances. This makes the separation bearable.

Second, there is Kute’s separation from the family to fulfill her own aspiration of becoming a seaman. However, the separation was short-lived because, as a mother, she could not stand being separated from her son. Hence, she willingly gives up her hoped-for career in the high seas in order to be near her son and be on hand to personally raise him. In doing so, she willingly sacrificed her dream. Nevertheless, she finds a happy compromise by flexing her entrepreneurial muscles and established a family business at home, in Pards Chibugan.

Third, there is Jeff’s separation from being Cho’s Dad in order to provide a better future for his son. As most parents in the Philippines do, they sacrifice being with their children in the present in order to secure their children’s tomorrow. Hence, many work overseas to do so. Consequently, they only see their families once a year while they keep their foreign labor contract. While this decision to separate from loved ones is for a noble cause, it goes without saying that the separation is quite difficult for all the members involved. A compromise is temporarily met by establishing the occasional routine connection through phone calls, emails and skype to help bridge the feeling of being physically apart and decrease the feeling of absence and missing out from the goings on in their separate lives.

Fourth, there is the separation when parents say goodbye to their children because they are ready to make a family of their own. It is a natural progression in the life of children. They mature and become adults and wish to have their own family, as well. This happens when Maya gets engaged to Richard. Nanay Teresita initially feels the pain of Maya’s psychological umbilical cord being permanently severed from her. But the reassurance that her daughter is going to marry a good man and the promise of the occasional visits effectively decreases her feeling of separation from her daughter. For Nanay Teresita, Maya will always be her baby, no matter her baby’s chronological age.

Fifth, there is the permanent separation from a loved one through death. This is what everyone is experiencing in Mamang’s passing. It is not a temporary goodbye like the previous separation that the family experienced; this one is final. Hence, the process of letting go and saying goodbye to the dearly departed is much more difficult. However, because the family is supporting each other through the grieving process, they eventually will be able to accept her passing, live with the beautiful memories that they have shared with Mamang and move on with their own lives.

Finally, there is a sixth, the unexplained separation of Arturo from Teresita and his daughters. His abandonment caused the family a lot of hardships not only financially but, most especially, emotionally. His mysterious disappearance remain just that, puzzling! Will this separation be temporary or will it be permanent? We all shall see how the writers will have us explore the answer to this question in the future episodes of BCWMH.

For me it’s okay na hindi muna nila ituloy ang movie. Mukhang magffocus pa rin naman sila sa teleserye. At least we still have our daily dose of kilig. Nakakaawa din naman kasi lahat ng tao behind the scene (directors, writers, cast, crew, etc.). Umaabot na sila ng more than 24 hours sa taping. Ang sakit kaya sa ulo nun. They enjoy working for the show at para na din sa ikaka-saya ng mga viewers pero diba isipin din natin na tao din silang lahat napapagod at kailangan din ng pahinga. GOOD VIBES lang lagi! I still love the show kahit wala munang movie. Kapit bisig all the way!

i can’t wait to watch it as i want to know what song will be played during
the funeral procession. will it be one of aiza’s songs or some other
makabagbag damdaming kanta (hindi kita malilimutan, ave maria, etc
which always elicit tears to fall from everyone?)

morbid as it may sound, but have you ever asked yourself what song
would you like played during your own funeral procession? (i have
several in mind for my own but i still have yet to select the one best).

the first time i heard this OPM song by songwriter cecile azarcon, it made
me cry and reminded me of my inay and other loved ones who had passed
away. the original version was by iwi laurel. she comes from the illustrious
laurel clan being the daughter of salvador ‘doy’ laurel and celia diaz-laurel.
she is the sister of cocoy laurel and aunt of denise laurel in the current teleserye
annaliza. this song was first heard in the early 80s. other artists have since then
recorded their own versions, and today am sharing, aside from the original version,
2 other covers that i personally enjoyed listening to.

And when they are tired, nagsasuffer din ang performance nila. We’ve all seen this in the past when, ngarag sila. Parang they just go thru their lines pero you can see that they are nearly exhausted. Dapat kasi inspired sila all the time and rested at baka mamya, maburn-out sila, wala na tayong panoorin.

I totally agree with you, Richwill, and matagal ko na rin pino-problema kung papano makakanood sa MMFF. Hindi ba ultra-crowded ang theaters at that time? Better if they shoot their movie at leisure and show it at a more opportune time. I can envision it showing for the regular run of two weeks pero extend nang extend kasi paulit-ulit tayo nanonood…wala kasing rerun sa iwantv! It will become a cult movie!

My personal take on the said matter? Siyempre nanghihinayang ako. Iba rin kasi pag ang movie ay MMFF entry. Parang may guaranteed kang crowd. Nag-worry rin ako sa maaring sabihin ng mga detractors ng BCWMH (baka natakot etc.). Pero ako, I believe what Star Cinema said in the letter- na ang reason nila for backing out is sched, and this just means they are prioritizing the serye. Why prioritize the serye? Because they would make more money through ad placements. (Try to do the math!) And most importantly, nothing beats a regular Exposure… kahit pa one big exposure pa yan.

Ang expectation ko lang given na wala ng movie sa ngayon- make the serye meatier. At dahil wala nang movie, mas mahaba na dapat ang extension ng serye kasi chances are, they would use the movie plot na for the teleserye run. So yung mga 2 hours mo sanang ipapakita ng mabilisan sa movie, kaya mong himayin on TV ng kahit 1 season pa. If we’ll look at things in this perspective, mas hindi tayo luge kasi mas hahaba dapat ang serye. Basta again ang concern ko, wala na nga silang iisiping movie sa ngayon so mas lalong hindi dapat tapusin agad ang serye. That’s their main reason for backing out di ba? Parang they were forced to choose continuing the serye over temporarily ending it for the MMFF run.

Even when they couldn’t wake her up anymore, she had a smile on her face. While Kute is talking, Ronron was crying so loudly behind her. Cho approached him and asked why he is crying so hard. Ronron said that Mamang was mad at him and she is scared she might appear to him. Kute and Cho laughed and told Ronron to stop crying because Mamang wasn’t mad at him and that she won’t ghost him.

Cho stands and looks at Mamang. This boy had a lot of questions in his young mind. He has never experienced someone so close to him be gone permanently forever. He started crying when Maya approached him. She asked what was wrong? Cho said that before Mamang passed away she told him that she would be there for him. When Maya is away to her new family, she would be there with him. And he does not understand why now she is gone. Maya told Cho that even when she is married, nothing would change. Maya will still come around to visit as often as she could and when he’s on vacation from school, she promises to bring Cho to Manila to spend vacation time with her. Then she gives him a hug as Cho cries. Maya explains Cho that life is not all about fun, laughter, kilig. Sometimes there is also sorrow and sadness. However, in the end all will be just fine and happy ending. Abby joins them and consoles Cho.

Richard calls on Maya, Kute and Nay T to go back to the dining room to eat. Maya at first said she’s fine but Richard insists that all of them need to eat. DE hands Maya the Ipad telling her Manang Fe and the rest of them in Manila wants to talk to the de la Rosa family. At Skype, Mamang Fe, eyes filled with tears, addressed the entire family (while Richard photobombs the screen behind them bwahaha). Doris and Sabel were also in tears of sorrow, love and concern for them. They began their list of advice starting with telling them that they should remain steadfast and strong. They must always pray. (I agree. That is number 1) and they must not allow the prayer warriors to get hungry for they are there to help them hold vigil. (makes sense) Don’t take a bath. It’s forbidden (ummm really? Wow my boys will have a grand time. They don’t like taking a bath and cleaning themselves. They could go for days stinking if I let them ha ha) Keep their long hair tied up because it is forbidden to comb hair. (but but but why?????) They also couldn’t sweep the floor (so they just live in filth. Oh dear I am not going to make it if I was at the de la Rosa house right now. My whole body would be shaking and detoxing from my suppressed OCDness. I hate filth ha ha) Then Sabel said the kids should wear red (huh! They have mentioned this pamanihin for the third time. First to mention it was Maya yesterday. Then Ebing today and now Sabel???? What? They already know that very well ha ha) Then Sabel continued with they must wear polka dots. Maya, Kute and Nay T looked at each other in surprise (Richard is still bombing the skype ha ha this time he is smiling in the background. It’s a good thing he is so daggone handsome he is allowed to just grace the skype frame ha ha) Doris reminds Sabel the wearing of polka dots is a belief for New Years. Bwahaha Doris begs to see Mamang even for the last time but Richard had to cut the conversation short knowing if he lets them they could keep the de la Rosas there forever. Joma and everyone said goodbye to everyone and signed off. Maya and the rest go inside the kitchen. Abby, sensitive to her Yaya Doris’ request approached the coffin. Then she sends a text to Doris telling her that she sent her something else. Doris told Sabel Abby sent something. She hurried up and opened the attachment and Viola! It was Mamang’s picture with the Putok Batok chicken drumstick. Doris and Sabel scream to death upon seeing the departed’s photo. They run towards the kitchen scared to death. Suddenly in the kitchen they could smell candles. They scream in harmony and called out to Mamang to please not scare them (bwahaha I am ROFL promise! Ha ha) All the while the candle they smelled was from Joma. He was taking it to altar for Mamang. Doris and Sabel realized there was an explanation for the smell of the candle. So they started to walk the other direction and suddenly when they turned to face the other direction they scared poor Manang Fe (older than dirt) who was just standing there wondering what the heck was going on in the kitchen (I am laughing my head off so loud I scared my dog out of the room ha ha)

BCWMH Movie some other time? Pwede pero probably not the same plot as what they intended to do for MMFF. Kasi syempre nakausad na ang takbo ng story sa TV series so naipakita na nila sa TV by then yung para sana sa movie.

Ang excited akong malaman is what are their plans now na wala nang movie? I know they intend to continue the serye pero would like to know their timelines lang. Dati kasi clear sa tin na Book 1 before MMFF and then Book 2 in 2014. Pero now, when will the wedding be? When will their life as Mr. & Mrs. Lim start? So this means ang WEDDING, PUTING KUMOT, KALABITAN at ANAKAN ay mangyayari on TV?!

P.S. Maybe Star Cinema can do another JoChard movie na hindi BCWMH. To test their bigscreen chemistry and their appeal outside of their SC-Maya cloak, baka pwedeng Valentine movie na may several episodes then they’ll star in one of those episodes (parang 24/7 In Love)? Tapos, hindi pa magiging hectic masyado sched nila if ganito lang muna. Just my suggestion

Winnie R OntiverosBack in San Nicolas, DE and Nikki tells the de la Rosas that they prepared something for them to eat and that they shouldn’t worry about the guests because they will serve them the snacks they prepared. After DE and Nikki left, Don R was there to make sure the de la Rosas are taken cared of as Richard made him promise to do. Nay T (finally she has a smile on her face) knows that she isn’t suppose to say this but she thanked DR and Richard for their graciousness and kindness in helping their family at this time. DR acknowledged and left them to their privacy.

Downstairs Nikki and DE worked together to serve food. Richard looks on at the bottom of the stairs with his hands folded over his chest. Don Roberto comes down the stairs. Richard asked if he wanted to talk to him? Don Roberto handed Richard a check and he said it is for Maya. Richard thanks him. Don R asked if they have taken cared of the expenses?… the plot, the paperwork that they needed, the funeral expenses? He suggested that they should fly Ryan over there to take care of everything. Richard said it is fine he will help them with it tomorrow. Don R asked him how he is? Richard couldn’t answer right away. He too, is emotionally drained worried about a lot of things. Don R asked him if he wants him to take the kids back at the hotel? Richard told him he thinks they will be fine there. If they get tired, they can sleep in the “silong” (basement?) (The one thing I like with the Lim family. They are millionaires used to luxury and convenience but they are willing to stoop down to the middle class and below without any air of arrogance. At this time, they do not see social standing and comfort. They only see that they needed to offer their support for Maya. I think of all the many times that they have put Maya through heartache, they have repaid her ten fold. I think they now understand too that if the tables were turned, Maya would do the same thing for them. I am so proud of the Lim family from Don Roberto and Dona Esmeralda all the way to little angel Abby. Not to mention Richard’s overflowing love for his Mahal na Princesa. Maya picked a winner for sure.) Richard tells his father he is ok. But it is Maya he is worried about. Don Roberto said for Richard not to worry for Maya will get over it. Richard then asked him “What if she doesn’t?” Don R pats him on the back for he has no answer for him.

Upstairs, the de la Rosas are missing Mamang over sharing their meals. Maya didn’t want them to influence Cho and making him become a best actor. Kute thinks that Mamang probably loves it that they are all weeping for her absence but Maya reminded them that she probably wouldn’t want them to waste the food. So with that said, they decided to open the covered food in front of them to eat until they see they have to share a dish of “putok-batok” (roasted pig with chicharon) This made them all laugh.

The vigil continues. People were plentiful. They came in batches. The Lim kids continue to serve snacks for the guests. Finally Nay T’s exhaustion takes over her body and she sat at the corner of the sofa with her eyes closed. Kute eventually sat next to her mother to cuddle. Maya still stands up next to the casket. She tells herself she cannot get tired. She must remain together. She encourages Kute to rest with her mother. They eventually settle back to the room. Maya is left alone to keep the vigil going. After a while Kute came back out. She finds Maya trying to clean up. Kute tells her it is her turn to rest but Maya insists on staying up. Richard agreed with Kute but knowing that Maya would remain stubborn, he told her “Come with me even just for a moment. Just to breath. And after that you can go back to what you are doing.” (Sigh) She made Richard promise she can’t fall asleep because there are many more things to do. Maya now has dark circles around her eyes; she is pale, tired and haggard. Richard sits close to Maya. He leans her head on his shoulders. He puts his arm around her to cuddle. He gently rubs her hair as she yawns and enumerates everything she still needs to do until she falls asleep. Richard was right there with her when she needs him. (Toilet Paper moment for me…Excuse me while I blow my nose.)

Una sa lahat, you can’t imagine the huge sigh of relief when I read na super kinilig din kayo dun sa last scene, ako rin eh! Akala ko, ang disrespectful ko kasi lamay ni Mamang!  Iba ang kilig ko talaga, irereplay ko yung part na yun lang. Himas here there and everywhere, biceps, shoulders, go paaaak!  Naisip ko, hongswerte naman ni Maya naman talaga kay Ricardo, oo. Aba may literal na shoulder to cry (and sleep  ) on na, may taga asikaso pa ng everything else for Mamang’s funeral. Aba, ang hirap mag-ayos nun ha? My mom and her five siblings, nagtoka toka dyan eh. Si Ser Chief, superman!

Regarding naman the MMFF movie, nung una syempre nasayangan din ako. Natural naman siguro yun di ba? Pero when I found out na more than 24 hours na ang taping nila for the series alone pa lang, medyo imposible na talaga. At grabe, nagsasuffer na ang health ng mga actors and actress plus ang draining pa lately kasi puro iyakan ang scenes. Okay lang din sakin kung cancelled na and hindi postponed ang movie. Kasi…

I guess it’s high time to see Jodi and Chenes naman outside the characters na Maya and Ser Chief, para pwede na din SPG!

The de la Rosa’s take Mamang to her final resting place. It is raining. (It’s like when we buried my Dad. The pamanihin says that if it rains when you bury your loved one the heavens are crying with you.) It looks like Maya is finally able to grieve as she is seen crying on Richard’s arms. Back at the de la Rosa’s Don R asks Maya and Richard what their plans are for the wedding. Richard said they might have to delay it. (Waaaa!) Kute apologizes. She understands that everyone is excited for the wedding but what happened to Mamang is sudden and unexpected. At the dinner table, Nay T is crying again missing Mamang. Maya reminds them all that Mamang doesn’t want to see them sad like that. Kute, Maya, Nay T and Cho go through a lot of Mamang’s things. They find her hidden stash of Chicharon. Cho spots a huge box and they all wonder what’s inside that box? Cho said it must be Cristy Tapa, Mamang’s favorite unhealthy food.

Buti naman at hindi na nga masyadong mabigat ang episode today. Naroon yung tanggap mo na masakit man.

Yun siguro ang feeling ni Maya. Pero talagang hindi pa siya dapat iwan. Iniisip siguro ni SC na parang siya lang noong nawala si Alex. He needed to be strong for the kids kaya matagal bago nakapagbabang luksa. Mas malala naman yung sa kanya pero may similarity.

This may sound weird and funny but I think the reason why there are too many pamahiin relating to funerals in the Phil, is because there, the dead tend to stay around awhile before they decide to move on and rest in peace. Old folks from the old days probably thought of ways and means to drive the spirits away and over time, more ways, more stories were added and exchanged and handed over to the next generations, giving birth to these superstitions. Stories about spirits abound and here’s one.

When my father died unexpectedly sometime in the late sixties, our dog howled for about 15 minutes and most of the dogs in the neighborhood joined in and howled too, scaring the neighbors stiff. Dad played the joker. At his place of work where he held a high position at the time of his death, he teased the guys for several weeks when smell of coffee filled the floor. It was the same smell familiar to all who helped themselves to free coffee at Dad’s office when he was alive. At the same time, guys who owed him money but never paid back was knocking at our door offering to pay. It was hilarious, natatakot daw sila kay Dad. None of us knew so many guys owed him money.. But as much as I adored Dad, it took a long time after his death before I could go to the rest room alone at night. In contrast, when my mom died here in the US a few years ago, I was never scared at all. So it’s true, it’s more fun in the Philippines.

What is more weird is many people from Dad’s hometown in Tarlac claimed that they could see dead people. Almost everyone there has a ghost story to tell. In fact, one cousin said just a few years ago that another relative who had recently passed away, visited him in LA. He joked on facebook “don’t dead Filipinos need a visa to come here?”

Actually its fine with me na hindi na tuloy ang movie. pag natuloy ang movir both movie ang the series will suffer. At least di ba they wont have to stop the airing of the series to give way to the shooting and showing of the movie.

I totally agree with you, Richwill, and matagal ko na rin pino-problema kung papano makakanood sa MMFF. Hindi ba ultra-crowded ang theaters at that time? Better if they shoot their movie at leisure and show it at a more opportune time. I can envision it showing for the regular run of two weeks pero extend nang extend kasi paulit-ulit tayo nanonood…wala kasing rerun sa iwantv! It will become a cult movie!

I remember nung nalaman ni RY na may movie, sabi nya sa twitter “movie? I’m dead”. Mas nauna pa kasing nalaman ng fans before he knew about it.

My initial reaction about that news was WHAAAAAAAAAT?! because I was really excited to watch them on big screen. But as I read all your posts, narealize ko na tama nga naman na icancel muna. They just did what they think is the best for them and for us as well. Ayoko rin naman mag-suffer ang show, movie, at ang buong team. I just hope that others will not reactive negatively. Alam niyo namang may mga viewers na nega lagi magreact sa mga bagay-bagay. I hope they will also be enlightened. Good vibes everyone!

Jo EEvangeline, yes, Winnie has to translate the episode in English for the benefit of the viewers that are not Tagalog speaking. They include foreigners, Filipino Americans and Filipinos that have their own dialect and is not fluent in Tagalog. The show also features Filipino culture and tradition that are better understood when explained in English. Winnie also adds her own side notes which are humorous and make watching the show more fun. Lastly, there are scenes that I missed that I catch up when I read her translation. I usually watch every episode more than twice or thrice and I still miss something.
Let’s leave Winnie alone. It is her passion and she has the talent and energy to do this. We appreciate her hard work ans sometimes negative comments are hurtful. Constructive criticism and positive remarks are more useful. After all BCWMH is all about good vibes, so let’s just go with the flow so we can also receive the blessings.

I was planning on going on a vacation this December sa Manila just to see their movie kaso, just thinking of the long lines sa Trinoma pagblockbuster ang movie makes me doubt whether I would be able to watch. Tapos busy-busyhan pa pag December, I was worried na hindi rin ako makapanood. Sana ishowing nila sa summer para masaya, at least yung mga bata puedeng manood (that is, kung hindi SPG)!!

Actually whether may movie o wala at ano pa mang itawag dyan- Book 1, Book 2… Basta tuloy-tuloy lang sila! I know plans can certainly change pero I hope that the network would always keep in mind what’s best. Ang expectation ng mga tao is pahahabain pa ang serye kasi wala na ngang movie. Doesn’t make sense to stop the serye when you no longer have to shoot for the movie. Dahil wala na silang movie plot na hinahabol, panget rin naman if they try to condense everything pa rin this year.

Re: shelving of the movie, I think it is best given the circumstances. Baka nga magsuffer both the series and the film pag ipinilit, not to mention the welfare of cast and crew. Anyway, they can always push thru with the project on a later date when their schedules wont be as hectic. Just saw on TV Patrol the news about the film’s backing out from the MMFF. Seems like the chairman is a fan too. He said sayang daw kasi mag na number 1 pa naman daw sana ang BCWMH.

So looks like the series is going to stay for a little longer. Perhaps management deemed it more profitable to go on with the series. Of course, why kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Generally, nakakatuwa naman ang reaction ng madla sa pag-urong ng BCWMH sa MMFF. Though syempre marami ang nanghihinayang, naiintindihan naman daw nila. Masaya na rin daw sila dahil at least, di mako-compromise ang health ng mga cast and crew, hindi magsusuffer ang quality ng show, at sign ito na ipa-prioritize ng network ang TV series at ang pag-stay nito sa ere.

Seems like hindi rin totoo yung unang reports that BCWMH TV series will end this month to give way to the movie shoot. According to Yahoo OMG’s interview with Direk Jeffrey, wala silang reserved episodes ng Be Careful kaya di kakayanin isingit ang movie shoot. So there was never an intention of ending it for the shoot. Talagang ang plan, may TV series pa rin na running while shooting.

Pak! Madami man tayong nasayangan, basta tuloy tuloy lang ang teleserye, solve na! Kawawa rin talaga ang health ng casts. And I also love your idea sis. Sana nga eh magka movie silang dalawa. Paging Star Cinema!

Many Pinoys and non-Pinoys are watching this teleserye worldwide, up to non-Tagalog and Tagalog-challenged viewers…. Winnie O is doing a public service to these groups to better understand all about the episode every time. Her summation and translation are so detailed yet entertaining many times educational. She has such an eagle eyes, she can see details that I many times missed.

FYI Evangeline measurable viewers of BCWMH are as follows; 3.3 millions viewers worldwide through TFC.tv and 25.5 millions viewing in the Phil through iwanttv.ph. This figure is from one of the showbiz program aired in 7/2013. In the US cable viewing, it is difficult to directly measure the numbers and is not included in this figure.

Ok na rin ‘to.. medyo pangit rin naman talaga kasi yong rumor na ’til first week of December ang series, tapos BCWMH moview sa MMFF.. Baka magka-sawa factor na kasi, at magsuffer ang success ng movie..

Iextend muna nila ng iexteng ang series habang malakas pa.. Tapos after the series, mga ilang buwan rin bago ang movie para mamimiss talaga ng mga manonood. Though sayang kasi nga MMFF eh, pero ok na rin. I trust them (ABS/Star Cinema), alam nila ang ginagawa nila.

Because the story of Be Careful With My Heart is a very typical lives of Filipinos, I love how details it is of a life of a rich family and even the life in province. I heard from other people that they get bored of the story but guys you have to open your eyes and open your heart, don’t you love the character? Don’t you laugh to their funny moments? And even the simple character like Sabel and Doris they’re even funny. I admit their are episode that I can tell that it’s kinda slow, I mean they’re dragging it but then you’ll always be surprise of what’s coming, just like our lives right? Their are moments that it’s kinda boring too but just wait and always expect good things, good vibes all the time. I prefer to follow a story like this than a very short one and you’re not satisfied how it ends, well, no matter what’s the ending of every story because as human we all have different opinions, different ideas, doesn’t matter because in the end you know to yourself, it’s up to us how we elaborate the show and how you look at the situation. Just saying that I fall in love of this show!!! Just surprise though of all those pamahiin, ganun ba yun? Ang dami nmn hehhehe

Masyado kong dinamdam yung death ni Mamang. Tahimik lang ako buong araw. Medyo nakaka-relate kasi ako kay Maya kasi mas madalas ko din kasama ang lola ko. Though buhay pa naman sya pero just the thought na like Mamang, anytime pwede syang mawala…parang di ko kaya. Until now kasi magkasama pa din kami sa room ng lola ko and kagabi bago ako matulog, lalo akong naiyak kasi sya yung huli kong nakita. Mamang’s death made me realize na dapat sobrang pinapahalagahan ko ang time na kasama ko sya. For all the times I have taken her for granted, I felt really bad. Kaya ngayon tina-try ko talaga na bumawi sa kanya…

Anyway, yung news about sa cancellation of the MMFF movie, mixed emotions nung una pero syempre I understand na it’s for the betterment of everyone din naman. Sabi naman sa news kanina na asahan daw na mas lalong gaganda ang show. Nakakaloka naman kasi talaga for their part kung may series na may movie pa. Eh halos yung episodes this week last week lang na-shoot.

In both sudden death and anticipated death, there is intense pain. However, while the grief is not greater in sudden death, our ability to cope is diminished, because of the shock and disbelief of suddenly losing someone, when you were just laughing with them hours ago. The loss is so disruptive that recovery almost always is complicated and overwhelming.

Sometimes emotions are suppressed until we can understand what happened and only then can we connect to the event. It seems that Maya may be going through this, as she has shed minimal tears and has taken on the responsibility of taking care of everyone. Mamang’s death was so sudden that there was no preparation and no time to gradually absorb the reality that the world was about to change dramatically for the family. Two life changing event in one week is overwhelming. The elation of being engaged and the pamamanhikan had all of them on cloud nine, but the unforeseen death of Mamang seemed like that same cloud came crashing down with a ton of brick.

In anticipated death, family experience pain when their loved one dies, they could see what caused the death. Ideally, they had been preparing for the death and dealing with their feelings about it. They were able to finish unfinished business with their loved one, to say “I love you,” and to do the things they wanted to do for the person before he/she died. While there certainly are many problems and emotional demands associated with losing a loved one in an anticipated death, at least when the death comes, the grievers’ coping capacities have been directed toward dealing with that expectable end. The loss makes sense.

After a sudden death, the loss doesn’t make sense. The critically important understanding of what happened is missing. The sudden shock of losing someone we love without warning so stuns us that we cannot comprehend what has transpired. Consequently, if your loved one died suddenly, you may be unable to grasp the situation and find it difficult to understand the implications of the loss. Accepting that the death occurred can be difficult, even if you intellectually recognize that it happened. The death may continue to seem inexplicable for a long period of time. You repeatedly will have to go over the story of the accident or of the heart attack to try to make sense of the loss after the fact.
Because they were not prepared for Mamang’s death they had no understandable context, they will try to deal with their lack of anticipation by putting the loss into a series of events. They start looking back at the time leading up to the death and searching for clues that could have indicated what was to come. Like finding the medication bottles that have not been opened in a box. And being served lechon kawali…Sabay hirit ng “putok batok”. This tendency to reconstruct events in your mind in order to allow for some anticipation of the death is quite common. It is an attempt to restructure what happened so that it seems you had some inkling that the death was going to occur. This retrospective construction of events makes the situation more manageable.

Watched the last part of the episode twice. Nang magtama ang mga mata nina SC and Maya and he smiled his lovely smile at her, awwww, parang naalala ko tuloy ang part ng lyrics sa ‘Some Enchanted Evening’ na “across a crowded room”.Tender and kilig scene also ang last part nang makatulog na si Maya sa balikat ni SC after all that haplos.

Kapag nakaburol pa ang namayapa, iyung family hindi pa ganoon katindi ang nararamdamang lungkot kasi marami pang tao, kapag wala na iyon ang mas matindi. Ganito ang feeling ko sa episode today, habang nandiyan pa si Mamang, malungkot pero for sure, bukas mas matindi, tulo-luha na naman tayong lahat sa libing on a Friday the 13th!

It may assist us in making sure we don’t have too much unfinished business with the people we lose. If your loved one died from a sudden death, you know that tomorrow is promised to no one. This awareness also can help us keep in mind what is important in life, so we don’t get lost in trivial matters and lose sight of those things that are most important to us. It is an ironic but positive consequence of sudden death that it can make us appreciate life more than we ever would have if we had not undergone such a traumatic experience. This does not mean that we should seek out such a loss in order to teach ourselves such a lesson, but it does let us know that we can pull something meaningful out of such a tragedy.

Mamang…it is not goodbye…but till we see you again.

On the movie naman, like you, looking forward ako in seeing the movie at talagang for the first time, I will watch sana an MMFF movie. I seldom go to the cinema kasi, pero this one sana, I will kahit ilang beses. But I would rather have the teleserye ‘forever and ever’, to borrow from the pamilya dela Rosa’s motto. Saka pagdating ng BCWMH sa DVD, para na ring movie ang pinanonood ko. Basta, good vibes pa rin and hoping for more and more of BCWMH.

On a side kwento, I was reading a romance novel last night and out of the blue, sumagi sa mind ko na it would be a good plot for a Jodi and Richard movie! Wish they will have a movie nga rin kahit hindi BCWMH.

306  Date Aired: September 13, 2013….What could be inside Mamang’s box?

Waahhhhhhhhhh! pinahiga sa lap niya si Maya may unan lang nga. Pagising ni Maya nasa kama na siya hindi pinakita kung binuhat siya ni SC.

Kakatawa si SC, pinaypayan si Maya ng kamay lang!!!

Tee PeeBeen holding off on watching this episode coz I know it is gonna be a tearjerker but I really could not resist after reading Winnie O’s summation on how sweet SC is to Maya. Well, I did not cry! … .. ummm kinda cheated coz I turned the volume down on the sad parts and it worked! Just wanted to see JSM’s acting and as expected, she delivered! Ang sweet nga ni SC!

My initial reaction after Maya laid down her head on the pillow was ……. ay huwag na lang kaya.
I’ll just keep it to myself. He he he…

Anyway, I just remembered part of a verse in the bible which goes like this….weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning…. Psalm 30:5

The wake, the vigil, and the customary beliefs blanket our story for the last couple of days. Today we are going to witness Mamang’s funeral procession to her final resting place. If you remember, the episode ended yesterday with Maya finally finding that comfortable spot on Richard’s shoulder and her body gives in to rest with Richard’s warm caress on her arm and gentle touch of her hair. It reminded me of when the two were blissfully celebrating their monthserry in the garden of the mansion under the stars. They sit there, sipping wine, watching a chick flick on the computer screen. After a sweet kiss, they sat comfortably with each other; Richard’s arm around her and Maya’s head on his shoulder. They slept. (It’s the Rated G way of “sleeping together” ha ha) Only now Maya rests but Richard just keeps her comfortable choosing to forgo of his for Maya. Kute finds them like this in the porch. She gets a pillow and gives it to Richard. He moves her gently so that she doesn’t wake up and laid her on his lap. He caresses her hair and fans her with his hand. (I don’t know about you guys but if this isn’t love, what is? *Sigh… Punches husband in the arm “Why can’t you be like that?” “Like What????” throws arms in the air and rolls eyes ☹ )

Moments later, Maya was seen sleeping comfortably on the bed in the room. (I think Richard carried her there like he did when she fainted at the mansion. I am sure she just weighs 5 lbs wet much like he uses to work out. I mean check out the man’s biceps…Wowza!) Maya suddenly wakes up. She remembered she didn’t want to sleep. First thing on her mind is Richard. She finds him in the kitchen setting the table (hmmm this handsome, millionaire, CEO of a huge aviation service company is setting the table. Nice!) He welcomes her with a smile. He was happy to see that she has woken up from her much needed rest. She complains about it being late and that she has a lot of things to do. Richard encourages her not to think of her “to do” checklist and just sit down to a meal with him. After their meal, Richard was in the living room minding the guests. Maya asks Kute why she didn’t wake her up for they still have a lot of things to do. Kute stopped Maya and said not to worry because it’s already done. What do you mean? Maya asks. Kute tells her, Richard took care of everything while she was sleeping. Maya looks at him from afar and probably realizes how lucky she is for this man…. who has a big heart, always in control and most of all loves her. (Not to mention sizzling hawt like heck!)

The Priest arrives. They have mass for Mamang. The next scene, the de la Rosas gets ready for the burial. Hand in hand they walk out of the room. Maya and Nay T with Cho leads while Kute and Richard were at the head of the casket. Poll bearers were Richard, Kute, Luke, Simon, Lino and Bugoy. (Suddenly I miss Pards) The day was cloudy and it is raining. The pamanhian says if it is raining the heavens are weeping for the dead. Mamang’s casket was placed on a carriage that is adorned with white flowers. I remembered seeing people carry the casket by the poll bearers all the way to the cemetery. Not in this case. Mamang’s casket carriage is being pulled by a vehicle. Right behind it are Nay T, Cho, Kute and Maya. Behind them are Simon, Lino, Richard and Luke. At some point, Maya just couldn’t stop crying. Richard who kept an eye on her and walked directly behind her comforts her again.

As reality sets in for the Dela Rosa family that Mamang is gone, thou with heavy heart, slowly they begin accepting the sad truth that she will no longer be with them and that they will no longer see her physically. Death may be a harsh reminder just how fleeting life really is, but then again death with all its cruelty, slow us down so we all can take a pause, we all can think and be reminded of the more essentials… what matter the most… what’s important for we are stripped to our very core and what remains are the very essence of what life is all about. All those unnecessary elements that cloud our judgments, occupying our waking hours are cleared to let us see clearly what really matters to us.

The resiliency in us comes to play especially in trying and difficult times like disasters, man-made such as accidents, fire or natural like typhoons, earthquakes and more so in death. As normalcy starts creeping in, Nanay T, Kute, Maya and Cho will have to deal with their loss as hard as it can be but knowing that they have each other to draw strength from as well as from those close to them, friends and neighbors who truly care and the Lim family who stood by them, with their all-out support, their concern and giving their genuine love for Maya and her family, the grieving family will just be able to weather this tragic event and with their innate happy disposition, the healing process will be easier and so much bearable.

There comes in life when our inner fire fades out triggered by some unforeseen events. But then again there are those around us, special souls we encountered or surrounding us who are there to rekindle that inner spirit when we are too weak to keep it going… too clouded to see the brighter things in life.

Richard’s loving gesture of giving Maya enough space to breathe, to mourn, to take care of everything she needs to do and simply staying at a distance while letting her know he’s always behind her ready to support, always willing whenever she needs him, always loving her even at a distance. His is such a mature love that he can let her be whenever she needs to be in charge and support her when she needs reinforcements and taking charge and taking care of her when she is too weak and vulnerable. Even without words, even without the hugs, his loving looks, his reassuring eyes communicating with Maya that he is there for her, beside her and behind her all step of the way. When words are irrelevant, his heart talks directly to hers, his soul comforting hers. And when she needed that loving touch of love, he was there, lovingly taking good care of her, enabling her to rest in his loving arms, be her security blanket so her weary body and mind can take the respite, rest and recharge… knowing that she is secured in his love, she allowed herself to be cared by the man she so love dearly.

And as for Nanay T, Kute and Cho, being together will give them the strength to weather their loss and friends like Simon, Lino, Bugoy and neighbors like Aling Ebing and the rest of the neighborhood will help them all heal and bounce back and move forward with life… even without Mamang. For she may be gone but her memory will forever live in their hearts.

In the end, we take the bad with the good, rise up through it… live in the midst of it for it’s the BAD that lets us realize how good the GOOD really is. Let us not allow the bad leave us thinking that there ain’t no good. But the truth is there is, and lots of it actually.

And while we’re at it, let us remember the tale of the bamboo. Here’s a saying in our own language to remind us when the going gets tough, let’s dance, and go with the flow.

Winnie R OntiverosAfter the burial the family (and extended ones like Lino and Simon) sit in the living room at the de la Rosas. They share snacks and coffee/juice. Maya waits for Richard at the top of the stairs while he stands at the bottom giving instructions to Liza about rebooking their flight. (I wonder why they don’t use their private plane anymore? I remember at the beginning of this teleserye, Fred mentioned the company having a private plane. This would be the time to use it for sure since the Senior Lims are around. Hot Wasabi might give us a hint as to why the creative writers fail to use this idea further in the show? If they are going to establish the Lims to be elites then why not go all out? Just wondering.) Maya asks Richard if he was staying? Richard said yes so she would have company when she returns to Manila. Richard tells Maya that he’s going to take his folks and the kids to the airport in the morning and then he will be back at the de la Rosas after. Maya tells Richard he should return to Manila with them. Maya said he’s done so much and taken so much time off work. She knows he is busy. Richard said it is ok since he could work anywhere as long as there is Internet. Maya reminded him that his folks will be leaving for China soon and they need to spend time together. Richard knows that they understand. Maya stops him and tells him not to argue. She tells him they are ok and promises they would be perfectly fine. He needs to attend to his parents. Richard couldn’t argue any further. They walk back in the house where everyone is still gathered.

In the living room, Dona E remembers how excited Mamang was for the wedding. Don R asks Richard what their plans are? Richard said that they are likely to postpone the wedding. Maya didn’t disagree. Abby asked if it is going to take a long time before the wedding? Richard said not so much (I don’t think they could name a specific date right now for they could take this series anywhere they want now that they are not pressed for time for a movie. They could take their time and give us more kilig moments and resolve a few issues here and there like Tay Arturo, the love triangle of Niknik, Nicnic and Amiel and Luke’s slew of women in the wings, Angge, Tintin and Joey! Inject a little blooming romance of Simon and Edz! Weeeeee! I’m Game :D) Luke asks his father if the preparation is still going to proceed? Maya responds, “Yes of course. This is why if there are anymore suggestions not mentioned during the pamamanhikan they could still make it known.” Says Maya. Kute apologizes to everyone and said that she knows they were all excited about the wedding but Mamang’s passing was unexpected. Richard said it is ok. It will just give them more time to prepare. (Looks like all is well.) The Lim’s excuse themselves to go. Everyone stood up to say their goodbyes. Kute took time to acknowledge Nikki and Luke and thank them for their hard work. She knows that they are not used to staying up late and working so she wants to give them her gratitude. Nikki said they are happy to help. Luke agreed. With that, she and Luke gave Kute the warmest embrace. (Sigh* Nikki has come a long way from freaking out over Kute’s tattoos to giving her a hug. Wow, it warms my heart.) Abby says goodbye to Cho. She tells him not to cry anymore. Mamang is always going to be watching over him. Mamang is now his personal guardian angel. She promised that when she gets to Manila she is going to always text him. She told Cho to do the same. Cho smiled and thanked Abby with a hug. They high fived….maybe a little too hard for you could hear Cho saying “that hurts” ha ha (Sigh* the two youngens in our story…such good actors; so natural and clicked with just about anyone they are in a scene with. Gudyab casting director.) Richard turns Maya around to face him. Hands on both her shoulder he tells her he loves her and she replies the same to him. They hug to say goodbye. (Aaaahhhh!) In the van on the way to the hotel, Richard and Abby sat in the front row. DE rests her head on DR’s shoulder and Nikki and Luke at the far back of the van. DR looks at his son in front of him and pats his back seemingly comforting Richard. He knows he has a heavy heart leaving Maya behind.

Walang cemetery scene, nasa bahay na sila lahat. wala na mga tao. dela Rosa at Lim family na lang naiwan. Paiwan sana si SC ayaw ni Maya. Gumana naman si Atty. kaya walang nagawa si Richard.

Pinag-usapan ang kasal. Imove daw pero di naman masyadong matagal tuloy pa rin daw ang preparations.

The Dela Rosas have finally accepted Mamang’s death and they have collectively come to the point of fully giving her up to God knowing that it is in His Loving Arms that she ultimately belongs, where she is, truly and unequivocally, at home. Likewise, grieving and exhausted Maya momentarily allows her fiance to take charge; she reluctantly surrenders to Richard’s loving arms, the arms she will one day call her permanent home.

The family is slowly moving on with their lives sans their beloved matriarch. Thanks to friends, neighbors and the new addition to their family, the Lims, Nanay, Kute, Maya and Cho feel genuinely loved, firmly supported and thoroughly comforted. Through the former’s generosity and kindness, the latter’s grief seems so much more bearable and the process of moving on seems just that much easier. Consequently, at the conclusion of the funeral services, the topic of discussion very naturally switches to the wedding.

Richard is going to make an excellent husband to Maya. He confidently shows his affection to her now that they are formally engaged and pays no attention to concerns of displaying public affection openly. Hence, it seems that being reserved is no longer de riqueur. For him, it is now totally acceptable to express his feelings for Maya in public. He obviously adores her. His love for his future bride is evident in the tender way that he takes care of her, persistently making sure that she gives her exhausted body that much needed sleep, admirably taking mental notes of her concerns for the funeral arrangements so that he can address them personally and finally, he lovingly prepares her a nourishing meal. His demonstrative acts essentially showcase just how deeply and passionately he feels for his fiancée. His attentiveness to her needs is quite remarkable and definitely inspiring.

A romantic and poignant scene that will forever be imbedded in the minds of this drama’s avid followers is when Richard leads Maya to the porch, makes her sit on the bench next to him and delicately nestles her head on his shoulder. Patiently, he listens to her litany of the things she wants to accomplish and quietly he simply allows her to express her concerns and he soothingly reassures her that all will be well with his calming presence. He proceeds to gently caress her arm and her head, slowly coaxing her body to relax and nimbly allowing her body to melt, in sweet surrender to his feathery touch, against his muscled biceps and warm body.

Now, those are some luxurious loving arms to lean on to! Timber! I cannot help but recall a poem I read, beautifully describing those intimate moments between two lovers. Richard’s arms must be what the Scriptures are referring to in the Song of Songs as the cedars of Lebanon: strong but gentle, firm but loving. In this Biblical account, King Solomon chronicles his intimate encounters with his bride in poetic imagery. In this book, Man gets a glimpse of God’s true intention and perspective on sex; that He means for it to be experience in its remarkable beauty and perfect purity. King Solomon wholeheartedly surrenders to the fulfillment of his earthly desires and later he intelligently captures his passionate emotions in songs. Maya, you are truly blessed if Richard subscribes to expressing his love for you in similar fashion and believes what King Solomon did; that his bride holds the ultimate key to things both mysterious and pleasurable!

Wow! Now, can you just imagine being so tenderly held the way Richard is holding Maya in this scene? Is it getting hot in here on what? Hahaha.

Winnie R OntiverosLater that night, the four sleep or should I say they tried to sleep. Nay T couldn’t stop crying. She sobbed…missing Mamang (oh dear..it was like me when my Dad passed away. I felt so lost without him. I always had him by my side throughout my life until the day he died. That is how Nay T felt.) Maya wakes up and comforts her Mom. In his dreams, Cho calls out to Mamang. Kute hears this and tries to rouse him. Maya holds Cho and Kute’s hand on one side and holds Nay T on the other side. Maya is the common link to this family now. Together they hold each other for they know they are stronger together. This too will pass.

At the airport, Maya calls Richard early. She just wanted to check up on them. She asked if they have checked in already? Richard said yes. Abby asks if he is talking to her Ate Maya? Richard said yes and gave the phone to Abby. She asks her Ate Maya to please not forget to remind Cho to text Abby. Then she passes the phone to Nikki. Nikki reminds Maya to take care. She tells her to rest and get some sleep to make up for the nights she didn’t. Luke tells her he’ll see her in Manila. The phone is back to Richard. He said that she is up early and asked if she was able to sleep last night? Maya said she did a little bit. She just wants to start early and cook for the family. She misses cooking for them. Richard teases Maya and said he wonders if they miss her cooking? Maya chuckled and reacts to Richard. He said he is so happy to hear her laugh again. Maya says she loves him and to please take care. Richard said the same. (aaawww slowly going back to normal) With that, the Lims are off.

Kute, Maya, Cho and Nay T are ready to eat breakfast. They sit where they all normally sit but they all stop to look at the empty spot next to Maya. Nay T’s eyes well up again even after Maya reminds them that Mamang would not want to see them so sad. That didn’t seem to work. So Maya gets up and gets Mamang’s picture. She puts it in front of Nay T and Kute and pretends to talk to Mamang. She said Mamang needs to get mad at her daughter for she is starting to cry again this morning. Kute follows suit. She makes the Mamang voice to tell Nay T to stop crying. Nay T couldn’t help herself. When she looks at Mamang’s picture and hears Kute’s voice imitating her, she laughed. They all did and Maya’s plan worked. (They are still grieving but even so they still try to be happy. They are such positive people. Their outlook and actions automatically go to the positive and to think they don’t need a blue pill to do that ha ha)

At the mansion, the Lim family arrives. Doris and Sabel welcomes Nikki, Luke and Abby at the foyer before they went upstairs. Richard walks in and Manang Fe greet him. Dona E and Don R followed him. Dona E asked for food. They may have not eaten breakfast yet. Manang Fe guides them back to the dining room where they have indeed prepared a meal. In San Nicolas, Nay T talks to Mamang’s picture. She is asking her how to go about her day without hurting? (Give it some time Nanay T but I suggest yall talk about it. Talk about Mamang constantly so that you would get used to not having her around instead of trying to get through your grief individually. Pramis. That is how we did it. It is effective.) As Nay T talks to Mamang’s picture she said that she notices that the kids have taken after Mamang’s positive disposition and she is the one that seems to bring them down. She promises that this is the last time she cries. She promised that from now on she will remain steadfast like Mamang. She will remain brave and strong like Mamang. She wipes her tears away and places Mamang’s picture on the shelf.

Sabi ni Abby wag na daw malungkot si Cho, binabantayan daw ni Lola Mamang si Cho from heaven, “She’s your Guardian Angel!”

Before umalis, nagpahabol si SC ng ILY kay Maya, sinagot rin ni Maya at naghug sila.

I so love the sleeping Maya with SC…parang mas ok sana kung wala yung unan!!!!

So sweet ni SC para lakarin lahat ng kailangan sa libing ni Mamang..pordalab of Maya.

At di nagpahuli sa HUG si Abby and Cho! Ayieee hahaha pati bata di pinatawad LOL.

Tuloy pa din ang preparations ng kasal.

Concerned si DR kay SC, tinap sa shoulders while in the car going home.

Umiiyak si NT habang natutulog at nakaharap kay Maya, si Cho naman tinatawag si Lola Mamang habang natutulog.

Maaga pa tinawagan ni Maya si SC kung nakacheck-in na. Kinausap rin siya sa phone nina Abby, Luke at Nikki.

Gusto daw ipagluto ni Maya si NT nakakamiss rin na lutuan niya sila. May hirit si SC na am sure namimiss nila ang luto ni Maya, napatawa si Maya. SC said it’s nice to hear her laugh again.

Sukiyaki 616Hot Wasabi, for a while there I thought I was reading a Barbara Cartlandt romantic novel. I was so in to the last three paragraphs and found myself sweating. You showed your romantic side… so beautifully written. The way Ser Chief took over the arrangements and looked after Maya made him so much more endearing and a good husband material – he is the complete package.

Winnie R OntiverosLater, Maya and Richard check with each other again. Maya and the family are busy cleaning up the Chibugan so they can be ready for business the following day. Richard said that maybe they should just do the clean up tomorrow. He feels they still need to rest. Maya agrees with him and told him that Kute and her tried to talk Nay T into waiting till tomorrow to do the cleaning. However, Maya said that Nay T said that they shouldn’t put off tomorrow what they could do today. Besides Maya said that if they are busy, they would get tired. If they get tired they would sleep. If they sleep, they rest. Richard gave up and told Attorney Maya she wins. (ha ha Richard you know she argues with common sense ha ha) Maya promises they would eat. Richard told her he loves her (for the millionth time today ha ha but hey I am not complaining) Maya said the same and they hang up the phone.

The Lims partake in a meal at the mansion with the hired help lined up excited for stories of their experience in San Nicolas. Nikki tells them that there was so many people at the wake even Nay T didn’t know them all. Luke said it is because word of mouth was they were serving Dona E and Nikki’s soup that they made. Abby pipes in and said that there were plenty of kids because they had ice cream. Everyone laughed. Then Nikki told them that the kid that bullied Cho cried so hard. Doris asked because he was sad over Mamang’s passing? Luke said no. He was afraid Mamang’s spirit would ghost him. They all laughed. Dona E changes the subject and asked the kids to tell a more positive story about the pamamanhikan. Nikki excitedly told them that Richard and Maya danced. Everyone clapped for joy and Luke said his Dad was really confident because he drank Tuba. They laughed. Doris told Richard that is how it the initiation is at the province. Sabel excitedly asked Richard what happened? She wondered if he beat the men in drinking? Richard smiled but didn’t say a word. Dona E interjected and said they just made a fool of themselves specially Don Roberto. He got embarrassed and told Dona E to stop it. But everyone just kept poking fun at Don Roberto embarrassed to admit ha ha.

Back at LPC, Simon walks in with a plate full of food and announced that LPC is now open. Nay T reminded him that they cannot open yet because they haven’t gone to the market yet. Simon told Nay T that they are not open to the public. Just for them. He suddenly invites Lino and the close neighbors who brought dishes to share. He tells them to all take a seat. The de la Rosa’s were overwhelmed by Simon’s gesture. (He is such a great guy. He is almost unreal. Simon I hope you meet Edz already I mean meet as in talk to each other on a date…Weeee! Who knows right? ) He said he does not want the de la Rosas to be sad. Nay T starts to well up again. Kute stops everyone from offering her something for her tears. She pulls a hankie from her pants and offers it to Nay T. She rejects Kute’s offer because (and she pulls out a hankie) has one of her own. Kute was impressed. Everyone laughed.

Later, upstairs they start to put away Mamang’s personal belongings. In her closet, Kute brings out a stash of clothes and finds Mamang’s stash of Chicharon (Putok Batok ha ha ). They were not surprised. Nay T checked out some of her clothes and Cho suggested that maybe some of Mamang’s clothes could fit Nay T? She didn’t like that ha ha She didn’t like that Cho likened her body to Mamang’s ha ha. Kute washes her hands off of that conversation. Maya was just enjoying the exchange. Suddenly, Cho points at a box in the cabinet. He said they should probably check that out because Mamang might have more stashed food inside it. Maya pulls it out and inside she finds Mamang’s wedding gown. (No clue to Tay Arturo like most of us thought. Just the wedding gown.) Cho couldn’t comprehend that Mamang could fit that wedding gown. Maya looks at it and holds it close as if she is holding Mamang to her heart.

Kumakain na sila, malungkot sila ng nanotice nila na bakante ang upuan ni Mamang kaya kinuha ni Maya picture ni Mamang para mapatawa nila ni Kute si NT.

kinakausap ni NT ang picture ni Mamang. nakakahiya daw siya pinakamatanda siya pa yung iyakin pero promise daw yun ang pinakalast na iyak niya…siya na daw ang maging pinakamatatag sa kanilang apat.

Tawag naman si SC kay Maya. Sabi ni SC, Maya di masama ang maging lungkot. Sabi ni Maya okay na yung mapagod sila sa trabaho para tulog na lang? sorry could not catch up. Narinig ko alang sinabi ni SC, “Okay ATTY!” pero importante daw sabi ni SC na kakain sila ni Maya.

Dona E says that she is impressed at the positive outlook of the de la Rosa family (in the foreground, you could see clips of the playfulness of Kute, Maya and Nanay T as the three laugh away their grief.) Dona Esmeralda wonders what is inside Tay Arturo’s head that he abandoned the family. This conversation gave Richard a notion. He asks Liza to find the investigator that they used before (maybe the one that investigated Maya? He is familiar with the case of the de la Rosas. It makes sense right?) Richard wants Liza to call him and set up an appointment. He wants to have him check on something for Richard. Kute gives Maya an “agimat” (a Filipino word meaning amulet or charm) to take with her to Manila. It is Mamang’s wallet size picture. Maya was proud to have it. (bwahaha) Nikki asks Richard if he thought that her Ate Maya would be ok to come back to Manila? She thought she might be even sadder to be away from her family? Maya tells her Mother that she is going to be fine. Kute gave her an agimat and then she pulls out Mamang’s picture to “Tada!” They group hug.

Kinuwento nila ang pamanhikan kina Dorbel, Manang Fe. Grabe tawa ni DE sa pagkalasing ni SC.

Sa tsibugan, niloloko nila si NT na bigyan ng panyo. Nang bigyan ni Kute si NT ng panyo, sabi ni NT di na niya kelangan kasi meron rin siya sabay paglabas ng panyo yan. Kaya nagtawanan na sila pati si NT.

Ayan na ayusin na nila ang aparador ni Mamang. Ayun nakita ang ebidensiya ni mamang, ang chicharon. ang damit ni mamang sabi ni Cho baka puede kay NT. Tapos may isang damit na suot pa niya nung graduation ni Maya tinatago daw dahil umaasa pa na magkasya pa.

Ang kahon…ang laman lang naman eh yung wedding gown niya. No mystery pala!!

I was hoping that the wedding gown will give Maya an idea that she should get married already.
Mas mahirap na nandyan siya sa probinsya, mas maiisip niya si Mamang. Winner talaga ang picture na yan!

Tess DowToday’s episode remains a tearjerker. Mamang is now in her final resting place and the Dela Rosas are moving on. A new chapter has opened up for the BCWMH. The innocence of first love, the kilig moments of all the firsts: first eyeballing, jealousy, first holding hands, first kiss, and the fairy tale Cinderella that every girls wished for “Captivating a very rich and super gwapo na prince charming” has ended.

The BCMWH is going to a new story line. I may even call it Book 2. I have no doubt in my mind that the brilliant producer, creative writers, directors and actors are taking us to a new journey. What could it be? well it remains to be seen. All I know for sure that the teleserye is not ending yet since the wedding is still yet to happen. We know that mostly all romantic filipino teleserye ends at weddings.

I’m sure pakikiligin paring naman tayo ni Nikki and Nicolo, and perhaps the writers will bring us to Maya’s embarking on her sexual adventure. The idea of intimacy, sharing of shames, and making oneself vulnerable to SC can be “kilig to the bones” too. The writers I’m sure will find a way to avoid the stereotypical language in many paperback romance novel (meaning hindi malaswa). Well this is my wish but I can’t wait to find out where the writers are going to bring us this time. Obviously they are going to explore Nanay T’s love story. Who else? Simon and Eds? Marami paring kilig moments to hope for. So far BCWMH has given us something we never even thought of but wished for…… So CHEERS sa ating lahat kase we still have another year with BCWMH. Right ABS/CBN? 🙂

In my opinion, kung may pamilya na ang tatay ni Maya, ayoko na malaman pa ni Maya coz like it or not, she might start thinking na lahat ng lalaki di mapagkatiwalaan o walang wagas na pag-ibig. It may also be na she’ll appreciate SC all the more. Sana ang huli ang magiging effect.

Regarding naman sa appeal ni MMDA Chairman, aba nakakataba nga yan ng puso! Sayang naman kasi talaga. Mukhang wala na silang pang top grosser  pero I would like to think na isa ring lurker dyan si Chairman.

Buti na lang hindi pinahaba yung libing ni Mamang.Tamang-tama lang kahit paano di ganun kabigat.

Love ko yung natutulog si Maya sa lap ni SC.Kung ako yan kahit 24hrs ako matulog basta sa lap ni SC.

Once again, I believe the cast does a better acting job in extremes of situations. Maya is so effective when she cried at Mamang’s funeral. Kute is such a natural, i love her. I specially like the shot of them coming down the stairs all dressed in white in the mist. Nikki is such a delight to look at in her usual stylish self donning that off shoulder white jacquard dress. Love it! I wish the creative team would pay more attention to the small details. Personally, those are the things I notice and they drive me bonkers if they all don’t jive with the story line. I agree with one reviewer about the suit, private plane, etc. That suit was what got me to start watching this. Not the tight-in-the-arms shirts that SC is wearing nowadays. Not too comfortable looking and looks like what Luke and Nicolo would wear or the village people maybe. Stop the madness, SC. I might be in the minority here but I don’t find SC attractive personally so I look at his role objectively and quite honestly, he needs to improve his acting skills. And yes, it’s not too much to have a private plane specially in his status. Lots of people own planes. Why should he ever fly his family commercial? Alex apparently died in a commercial airplane accident. This is one way SC can be sure his family is safe. Just saying.
I am heavy hearted for the dela Rosas. I can see lots of tears to come but they are so good at this so it should be great acting. Since the show seems to keep going, I hope they will think of better story lines and give SC and Maya some time to have for themselves. They are still awkward with each other acting wise. I’d like to see them look each other in the eyes longer and act like lovers not cast members. That’s just my idea. I believe the show has time to concentrate on this now that there is no movie to be shot. I think all the fans will be happier with improved quality of scenes and story lines.

One of the beauty of SC character is that even though he can afford things like this he doesn’t spend his hard earn money on unnecessary luxury. He enjoys simple things. And that’s one of the values that the show promotes di ba?!? Simplicity. That money is not everything. What is important is family and its unity.

Napapagod din ang machines! I-enjoy na lang natin ulit ang haplos-haplos kahapon at ang mga kilig moments noong Tuesday. Your officemate is right, I think, parang surreal na kasi ang libing, the way it was executed, though, doon pa rin ang emosyon. Lahat na yata ng sadness, nabuhos noong Wednesday.

good point on less extravagance but the summary of the show is that he is filthy rich and a snob. I have nothing against simplicity. Maya’s family is just lovely as less fortunate. Napoles? I’m not into politics so I have to excuse myself from that argument. I’m not going there.

Nobody in mind but because I don’t find him attractive doesn’t mean he is not effective. I’m just admiring the show in general. He has good chemistry with Maya more so before when he was sungit and she was clumsy. I don’t think the network could have picked a better pairing in my opinion. I am not rallying to replace him by any means and I’m not familiar with other actors since I don’t follow pinoy movies and shows much anymore so that’s not the route I am taking.

I’m sure Donald Trump will say something about that comment if he is part of this convo. But he is not in my circle either so that remains a mystery and I agree he is not attractive in my opinion. It’s personal taste and I’m entitled to it, so are you but when people are kilig or not, that’s their business. I don’t share the same level of excitement and attraction and that is alright. We all watch the show for different reasons and it affects us differently. That’s why it works for all walks of life. Don’t feel the need to point out his accomplishments to me. I can read and I do read. There are 98 million Filipinos in the world. He has become very popular indeed. I miss seeing the early SC and Maya characters but the show moves on. I get it.
I do know people who own airplanes who are very humble and simple (more so than SC), I watch BCWMH when most of the pinoys I know can’t stand it and will never be caught dead watching it, I am promdi with my family resembling closely to that of Maya’s, I am also part Chinese. To each his own.

Tita Rhmmm… i thought i’d join the fray here. these are my thoughts about SC having to use “his” company plane:

– the lim aviation line of business is repair and maintainance of commercial planes if am not mistaken. ergo, the company’s plane may just be a 2 or at most, a 4-seater as that may be the most economical and ideal for their business operation. why would the company maintain a bigger plane for its day-to-day operational requirement?
– let’s take for granted that the lim aviation has a private plane that can seat 8 or 10 pax (lim family to include the parents count is 6 pls 1 pilot and 1 co-pilot). no one in his right mind (especially someone in the business of plane crafts like SC) would fly his entire family all together. in fact, even taking a commercial plane, it is more and more becoming customary to take different flights for self-preservation. you wouldn’t want your entire family to be altogether wiped out from the face of the earth should an accident happen.

as what has HW wrote on winnO’s thread already, we should remember that SC is supposed to be an astute chinese businessman aside from being low-key.

Marya VHi, I’m late but I can’t help but put my two-cents worth in. Ser Chief didn’t strike me as a FILTHY RICH SNOB, just a lonely, busy man who was hard-put getting over losing his wife, providing and stumbling through raising three children and running a business that, in fact, requires rolling up his sleeves. Yes, he’s successful but mainly through hard work in coveralls, he goes to the office mostly in cuffed shirts but does the suit thing when the occasion calls for it. As described by his ‘loyal’ household staff, his former nanny and even by his self, he was a happy, naughty, normal albeit dedicated man before he lost his wife. He was never a snob, in fact he’s an educated gentleman, otherwise, his staff would have left him a long time ago and Maya’s family and friends would never have given him the time of day. As for using his own private jet to formally ask for a daughter from a simple, down- to-earth-family’s hand in marriage, now that would be flaunting. Unless urgent matters require it, why use it? In this age of energy and environmental conservation, not only would that be extravagant but irresponsible as well.

This one’s better. Saw my proposal collages sa new house. Kiligers! Hindi ko pala nagawan ng maayos yung kiligmuch na Friday episode last week?

@G.I. like you I am also admiring the whole show in general. The show is truly captivating and almost flawless. It is soo easy to get carried away with the story that some people reacts negatively especially when Mamang passed away suddenly. Nadadala na lahat ng story. My survival technique is to take the back seat para hindi ako matangay ng sobrang iyakan at sama ng loob na dulot ng show. This is where I became critical posing all the why’s and looking at the imperfections.. this is to remind me that this is just a TV show afterall.

This is why I didn’t cry too much. But I was in awe of how they used the slow motion to lessen the impact of the tragedy. Also I was so impressed with the actors and their dialogues. I guess because I have not heard of those many expressions for a long time.

I only mention about the suit and the plane because for the past episodes, I don’t get the feel of the “Lims” being rich anymore. Perhaps I’ve grown to them I don’t even notice it. And the Dela Rosa’s simple life sort of matched them suddenly. I remember how the writers showed us how poor Maya is because she wears the same clothes, shoes and scrappy bag all the time. Those little details were truly noticeable that is why I so admired the writers because they take everything into considerations. These past episodes I noticed how everyone suddenly have available white clothes especially the Lims. On the other hand, I admired that the writers included all the other details such as canceling of the kids school, flights and Maya’s work. Nothing was assumed here. Everything were considered and showed to us which made it looked so natural.

BUT I am a forgiving fan (as if I have the right)…. yes FAN ng BCWMH kase talaga namang enjoy na enjoy ako with this show…. heck! if not I won’t even be taking my time writing here :). Maya and SC are becoming even more beautiful to look at. Lalo na si SC. He’s skin became clearer, he lost some weight and he has beautiful and captivating smile. The two of them are truly match…. “in their characters”.. The other characters are so great too which is why I don’t fall prey into focusing on just the two of them. Kute and Maya’s chemistry are so strong too and the others that’s why It balances it all. That’s why I so admire the whole show in general and beyond.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed, sis, na intact pa rin ang cast kahit na magtagal pa ang show. In any show, sobrang sad kapag may umaaalis sa cast, like doon sa isa ko pa favorite before na Downton Abbey na major pa ang umalis. Though ang pagka-favorite ko doon, wala sa kalingkingan ng pagka-adik ko sa BCWMH!

Baka naman it was a hard decision din for Ms. DV, that she needed to choose talaga. I guess we will never know. Out of BCWMH na siya talaga, no room to return except bilang multo in a dream sequence at flashback, maybe, hay! Baka nga rin part talaga ng pagka-plot ng show na may mamamatay na tunay na nangyayari sa totoong buhay.

G. IsaacsI agree with energy conservation and Tess Dow I am with you. I have grown accustomed to them and from the beginning I know SC was practical. He drives an older model beemer, mercedes and a hyundai van, he does not have a driver, they drink powder OJ or juice at home just like everyone else does, etc. SC flies his whole family together. They are never separated so that discussion does not apply. If you have a plane ( my husband’s family has 2 planes and a heli, I apologize for sounding immodest but this is only revealed to make a point). If you have one, you don’t worry about the day to day operation of it. It’s part of owning one. As for energy conservation, yes they are very costly to fly but once again, there is no point in owning one if you’re worried about the fuel cost. You don’t need a co- pilot. These things don’t usually go transatlantic. Like I said, it is what it is. You own one for reasons only you know. It does not diminish SC’s status that he flies commercially. Arriving in your private plane would not be flaunting. First of all, you land far away from the commercial strip. Your plane is kept in a hangar while you’re gone so nothing is out in the open for a length of time. Besides, he is an important man. His time is money. Flying commercial to a small town can be tricky for a busy man whose plans can change on him anytime. Nobody has to know what you have. It’s usually best when nobody knows.

I rarely get emotional about the show. I did laugh out loud a lot in the beginning. I love watching the early episodes still.

Besides, if you’ll analyze things, kalokohan naman to cut short the serye when you have already backed out sa movie, e that’s their reason nga di ba? My own analysis, the worst that could happen is to end the serye this December due to other network considerations. Worst na siguro to ha. Ibig sabihin, mas maganda pa ang mangyayari moving forward for BCWMH. At ang alam ko, they are seriously considering a long-term extension naman.

Re higa sa lap – pwede na rin for now. Engaged pa lang naman. Pero sana nakaharap si Maya sa …….. sa……. tiyan ni SC… ahihihihi

They are trying their best naman to have it long-term. I think basta present pa ang mga ito, they would go on: viewing public support, advertisers’ support, network direction alignment, agreement with main actors, and of course, a good plot.

To those who are thinking that the serye would end very very soon kaya di tuloy ang movie: You should think the other way around- Don’t you think that having a movie is a good way to end it?

In fact, I learned from my friend that their original plan was for Book 1 to still continue airing until just before MMFF.

BCWMH is only experimental to begin with, only 13 episodes. Pero pumatok kaya ayan puspos ang taping. Unlike all teleserye before they even air marami na silang episodes na nagawa bago pa ma-air. BCWMH ay laging naghahabol sa taping. They do taping everyday now while the rest of teleserye do taping three times a week. Knowing that, please be patient..

Nikki’s demeanor has improved tremedously she is down -to earth in this episode…. The Lim and Dela Rosa families acted as one big family. The Lims, a family with means help out and humbly prepare food and serve the mourners. SC took control while Maya is asleep arranging the needs for the funeral. SC will do anything and , everything for Maya. Talagang wagas na wagas magmahal si SC. Hayyy!

It looks like Monday (Sept. 16 ) is the start of Book 2.

He would be very understanding when you go through all the phases of healing. He even told you that he will be there with you when you go mok-mok…lol. You are so lucky to have someone like him your side…I wish I had one when I need someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on when my brother passed away. Baby steps, Maya.

being the bunso in the family, my inay was always with me til the day she passed away.
like nanayT, (except perhaps for some night-outs or vacay with friends and relatives)
i know i was always sleeping with my inay right beside me until i got married. in fact,
there were even instances when hubby was on out-of-town assignments, i would ask
my inay to sleep with me instead. in my youth, i would either wrap my arms around my
inay, or see to it that a foot is making “kiskis” (hehe, ano bang english term for this?)
in some part of my inay’s legs while sleeping. that served as my security blanket.

therefor, that scene where nanayT was sleeping without mamang by her side for the first
time after her death, nanayT’s being restless with tears falling on her pillow, made me oh
soooo emo, too. i thought she was me. (i miss you, inay ko).

Hot WasabiI read that only Americans discourage their children from sleeping in the same bed with their parents. The Europeans, especially the French, allow the children to share beds with their parents. I am glad that Filipinos encourage such behavioral practices, as well. I too grew up sharing the same bed as my Mom or my Lola Nanay. When my children were growing up, even though they had their own bassinet and crib, I preferred them sleeping next to me. Now that they are grown, even though they have their own rooms, whenever they feel they need to, I welcome their company when they ask me if they can sleep with me. When they do so, it just touches that tender spot in me. I savor these moments because I know that when they will move out and get married, these occasions will probably never come again.

Lahat sila, bata man o matanda ay naki kapit bisig sa gawain sa lamay ni Mamang. That is the true tradition of the Filipinos, ay yung nagkakaisa sa hirap at ginhawa.

When someone is grieving it’s often hard to know what to say or do. You may be afraid of intruding, saying the wrong thing, or making the person feel even worse. Or maybe you feel there’s little you can do to make things better. While you can’t take away the pain of the loss, you can provide much needed comfort and support.

The Lim’s and the San Nicolas Baranggay came together as one, to give support and love to the Dela Rosa’s. Most of them said very little to the family, but nevertheless their presence brought the love and support that they needed during their moment of grief. Even SC said very little, but his presence made Maya smile a few times. He did not force her to open up, but instead he listened to her and made sure she was physically nourished and rested. How can you not fall in love with SC, during that tender moment when he let Maya rest her head on his shoulder and his fingers softly caressing her hair. Haaaaayyyyyyy!!!! No more grieving for me!!!!

Simon and the rest of the kapit bahay’s were very consistent in their support by bringing food the next day and just being there to cheer them up. This helps the grieving family look forward to the attentiveness without having to make the additional effort of asking again and again for help. Basta kapit bisig kayong lahat, malalampasan niyo lahat yan Nay T, Kute, Maya and Cho. Nandito kami lahat para suportahan kayo!!! Bayaan nyo, nag dadamoves na si SC para hanapin si Tay Arturo.

Good morning, fellow adiks! Ang sarap gumising sa bagong bahay.

Dahil preoccupied ang mga utak natin dito, naisip ko tuloy… With or without the movie, I think sa TV series talaga natin set makita ang wedding at honeymoon nina SC at Maya.

I remember nung may movie pa, Direk Jeffrey mentioned na ang plan nila is to show the wedding of SC and Maya and the start of their life as husband and wife sa TV, and this will run until shortly before MMFF. Kahit na they have withdrawn sa MMFF, I don’t think it is necessary to change the plot they have planned for the series until December, which was supposedly a prequel to the movie. Kung may iaadjust man na plot due to the movie cancellation, it must be the Book 2 or the plot set to be aired after MMFF in early 2014.

I also noticed that MMDA Chairman Tolentino kept on mentioning that BCWMH is under the family drama category. Movies that aim to break box office records at MMFF are mostly targeting families, mostly with kids, for their audience. So, alangan namang lagyan nila ng honeymoon scene dito? Kaya malamang set na nga talaga na sa series bibida ang puting kumot bago ang movie.

What may have been the focus of the movie is the family life of SC and Maya, with welcoming a new bundle of joy as a possible highlight. If talagang di na sila papipigil sa MMFF officials, we just hope to see this plot incorporated in the teleserye.

Cynch HonradoPinatunayan ni Richard na wagas and pagtingin niya kay Maya. What love can do and Richard will do anything to help ease the pain of loss and do what needs to be done for Maya. Making sure that Maya was able to rest…..once asleep, he just took charge.

I like the way the funeral was shown and the after gathering of the family before the Lims left so that the Dela Rosas could rest.

At the breakfast table, Maya gets Mamang’s photo to break Nanay Teresita’s moment, getting everyone to laugh and be happy because it is what Mamang wants, that all will be happy.

Meanwhile back in Manila, the welcome home and the gathering at the dining area was an open sharing of what transpired, the free flow of information being shared by the children with Manang Fe, Doris, Sabel and Joma and the openness of everyone without losing sight of boundaries shows how far Richard and the children have changed – with love expressed openly, no more stilted conversations, no more pretense and being afraid because they are secured in their father’s love for them they are now one happy family just like the Dela Rosas.

Back at San Nicolas, the Dela Rosas keeps themselves busy cleaning Little Pards Chibugan so that no one will dwell on the loss…..Simon, Lino, Bugoy and Aling Edings group prepared lunch for the Dela Rosas, being there for the family to help ease the pain they are going through, missing Mamang. Kapit bisig all the way.

wish ko lang na there are more behind the scenes updates …wala po ba tayong ka-kosa sa production that could at least give us a glimpse on what transpires behind the scenes, even a simple pictures of them chatting so we could differentiate real from reel.

…Not a bit of kilig is lost while watching the Sabado rewind. Kaya lang may kasama nang malisya while watching. Chemistry was there na between the two right from the start (parang gusto kong mag segue sa song na…Right from the start you were a thief. You stole my heart and I a willing victim…). The two have indeed come a long way in terms of pisikalan. And, by the way, si ser chief at maya pa ang nasa rewind.

Sana bagong wedding dress ang isuot ni maya sa wedding niya. They could incorporate some of mamangs wedding dress material into her new dress. Thats what a friend of mine did at her wedding dress. She wore her mothers veil at her waist.

Yung timing ng kasal, it seems nasa plano naman talaga ng writers when and they are sticking to it. Wala naman siguro kelangang extraordinary na mangyari para ikasal sina SC and Maya in the next few months, in our timeline. What I like very much about this whole story line is way that the writers showed the bayanihan trait of Filipinos. The heavy load of losing someone you dearly loved is somewhat lightened because it is shared not only by the immediate family members but also by the neighbours.

It’s nice to see that this positive traits is still very much alive amongst us. Mabuhay ang Filpino! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

307  Date Aired: September 16, 2013….Ser Chief starts the search for Maya’s father.

Nicolo called Nikki.
Nikki: WHAT?!

Winnie R OntiverosRichard and Dona E catch up with each other since coming back from San Nicolas. Dona E asks how Maya is? Richard said she’s fine. Richard tells her that he is amazed at how quickly they bounced back as they find a way to be happy. Dona E is pleased to hear that. She mentions she is not surprised that the entire Barangay rallied behind them. They are such good people. Richard agreed. Dona E is just wondering what came over Maya’s Dad? Why would he leave such a great family? She said he doesn’t know what he is missing. Richard just shook his head because he too couldn’t understand. He said that he should be with them now. But Dona E thinks the de la Rosas are strong. They are going to make it. (I agree Dona E. )

Nikki helps Abby with homework. Abby is excited over the Star Scouts meeting up and getting their uniforms. Nikki having gone through it before told Abby what fun activities she will have at Star Scouts. In mid conversation, Nikki’s phone rings. At first Nikki ignored it but Abby was asking why she isn’t answering? Nikki was forced to answer the phone. It’s Nicolo. Nikki said “What?” Nicolo quickly said “Miss you too.” (Ha ha these two are so cute with Nikki and her pretend hate attitude and Nicolo the dense guy who could not resist ha ha. ) Nicolo just wanted to say hello. He wants to make sure that Nikki sent her message to Maya and wants to let her know that they had a lot of hits on their video. He thinks they might win. This made Nikki scream in excitement but quickly stopped it because Abby was listening. (Yep Nikki you have to pay attention because when Abby’s radar is up she notices everything.) In walks Luke while Nikki has this big smile on her face. He notices, Nikki covers up.

At LAS, Liza asks Richard how Maya is. He said she is fine. Then he asked Liza to please contact the PI that they used before and set up an appointment to meet with him. Richard wants him to check on something. (I like where Richard is going with this. We do have to find out what the heck happened with that man and what really made him abandon the family. I bet you he is the one that placed the flower on Mamang’s grave that Kute mentioned during their last visit. And I wonder if he was the one that almost ran Maya over at the parking lot when she thought Richard was going to propose to her…yeah that date….I am still puzzled what that was all about?)

Back in San Nicolas, Kute talks to Maya about extending her stay until the 9th day of Mamang’s death. (Traditional Filipino Funeral is described as follows: Siyaman or Pasiyam (Tagalog, siyam = 9) is a 9 day novena (Latin, nove = 9) prayer/requiem for the dead or simply a 9 day wake. On the ninth day, the dead is usually interred/buried.On the 40th day, the dead is commemorated (necrology). Relatives can now stop wearing black. Mourning for the dead officially ends. The number 40 is just one of those “biblical numbers”. The dead is again commemorated a year later. Relatives of the deceased can now marry or take part in merrymaking activities. “Sukob” is a Filipino superstitious belief wherein weddings done within a year of death of a relative is ill-fated.) Maya explained to Kute that she really needed to go back to work. She said that it is the last month of her probationary period and it’s time for her assessment for regular employment. But she promises that she will do her best to come home on the 9th day of Mamang’s death even if she just comes for a few hours and then leave again to go back to Manila. Maya asks Kute if they are going to be fine by themselves? Kute assures her they will. She asks Maya if she is? Maya said yes because she needed to be ok. Maya told Kute to please look after their mom and refrain from making her cry all the time. Kute promises. Kute then gives Maya an “agimat” (amulet or charm in English) to take with her. It is the wallet sized picture of Mamang. Maya appreciated the thought and hugged her sister. (They are such good friends.)

Zel MTHE “NEW” NORMAL

After the funeral, everything seemed to be back to normal, or so it seems. Truth is, it will be a new normal so to speak with Mamang gone. The Lim family including Richard returned to Manila ahead of Maya as she needed to do more stuff to tie loose ends as far as Mamang’s passing, documents that needed to be taken care of and spending some more time with her family before heading back to Manila to go back to her work and her life there.

At the mansion, everybody’s seemed to go back to normal after the returned trip from San Nicolas – DE’s busy preparing for their return trip to China while still worried and concerned about Maya’s welfare, she checked with Richard on how she’s doing and reminded Richard of the “despedida” dinner and extended the invitation to Maya. The kids, also worried about their Ate Maya, asked their Dad how she’s doing and when she will be returning back to Manila. Nikki shared her concerned for their Ate Maya of feeling the sadness when she gets back to Manila of which Abby reassured that their dad will be there to make Ate Maya happy.

The kids were all back to school. Nikki was catching up with school work as well as with her activities with West Teatro while sharing her good experiences in San Nicolas with her new appreciation of the people and the simpler way of life in the province. West Teatro’s meeting and practice also paved the way for Nikki and Amiel to touch base once again. It would be interesting how their interaction will progress. On the other hand, Abby was excited with her upcoming Star Scout activity and couldn’t wait to get her uniform and show it to her Ate Maya. Luke was also catching up with his activities at the university and also catching up with Niccolo.

In San Nicolas, the Dela Rosa’s visited Mamang’s resting place before Maya heads back to Manila. As Maya prepared for her return trip back to Manila, Kute gave her a little memoir of Mamang to ease her sadness while Nanay T was as concerned of Maya as she will be all alone in Manila but Maya reassured them that she will be ok. The whole family helped Maya prepare the pasalubong and sent her off to the airport. And before heading to the airport, Maya took the opportunity to thank everyone who supported their family all this time. And just as always, SC was there to pick her up when she arrived at the airport and they headed to the Condo. It looked like everything will be back to normal or will it really be back to normal? After all, losing a loved one will forever have that void. It looks like the Dela Rosa’s will have to get used to the “NEW” normal as they continue with their lives without Mamang. While, they will all be able to move on with life, the degree of their grieving will vary and only time can tell.

While it is difficult losing Mamang, the Dela Rosas will need to give themselves the chance to grieve by acknowledging their need to grieve. Grieving is the inherent way of handling the loss of a loved one and it is never a sign of weakness nor the absence of faith for it is as natural as crying when one is hurt, sneezing when one’s nose is irritated, sleeping when one is tired or eating when one is hungry. It is nature’s way of healing a shattered and pained heart. It is said that grieving is a passage teaching us how to love in a new way considering that our loved one is no longer with us. Keeping in mind those who have died is the key that opens the hearts that allows us to love them in new ways… the reality is that we don’t forget, move on, and have closure, but rather we honor, we remember, and incorporate our departed loved ones into our lives by keeping their memories alive in our heart and mind will be an important part of our healing process. And as a way of coping, having an outlet, whether interpersonal or artistic, trying out new things or new hobby, our socializing will allow and give that opportunity to express those feelings to some degree.

Life is all about change… sometimes it’s painful… sometimes it’s beautiful… but more often than not, it’s both. “Nobody gets through life without losing someone they love, someone they need, or something they thought was meant to be.” That sense of loss will be the one that will make those left behind stronger, more brave and steadfast in facing life’s many challenges, life’s opportunities and setbacks.

Winnie R OntiverosBack at the mansion, the whole family is in Abby’s room. Abby asks his Dad when her Ate Maya is coming home? Richard tells her she will be arriving tomorrow at lunchtime. Abby was sad that she couldn’t go with her Dad to pick up her Ate Maya. Luke and Nikki asked Richard if she is coming to his grandparent’s despedida dinner? Richard said he thinks she might. Abby is excited. She wants to show her Ate Maya her Star Scout uniform. Nikki told Abby that she will be a full fledged Star Scout. So Abby said “I will be the best Star Scout in town.” They all laughed. Luke told her that she sounded just like Ate Maya. She is like a little Ate Maya. (Yep that is what we said. Abby has Maya written all over her ha ha. She is such a doll.) Then Nikki wondered if Maya would be even more sad when she returns to Manila? Richard thought about it for a moment. Then Abby said, “Daddy always makes Ate Maya happy.” She scoots herself next to her Daddy and Richard kisses her head. (This scene warms my heart. I really could not wait for Maya to be in the midst of this family sharing with them bonding moments like this.)

Back in SN, the de la Rosas race to the bed. They were all tired from visiting Mamang. They had to ride a tricycle and then walk far just to go visit her. Nay T told Kute and Maya that she is just paying them back for making her exercise when she was alive. Kute couldn’t believe the effort they had to make just to see Mamang. But Kute also mentioned that someone must have been there to see her because someone brought flowers. Maya chucked it to the fact that although Mamang is sometimes a little abrasive, there are a lot of people who love her. They proved it from all the guests that came during the wake and the funeral.

At the mansion the hired help are talking about how much they are going to miss the couple when they leave. Sabel said that she learned a lot of dishes to cook from Dona E. Doris mentioned that the shampoo that Dona E gave her worked. Joma told Doris to use it sparingly because once she used it all up, her split ends will return. Tse! Doris told Joma to look at his curly nappy hair. Manang Fe stopped them from arguing again. She said they best get ready for bed for they have to be up early in the morning. The kids are going back to school. (Wow, back to the same routine just like us. Stay up late to watch the show and then sit down and write synopsis….The cycle begins every week on Sunday night ha ha)

In San Nicolas, Maya prepares all her “pasalubong” (homecoming gift) for the folks in Manila. She enumerates her “bilin” (directions, instructions, advice, requests) to them. She tells them that if they need someone to talk to, to please call her. She tells her mother not to cry too much for she might garner the international best actress award. (ha ha Teresita really could cry at a drop of a pin ha ha but in fairness, her son is just as good an actor as she is. He took after her for sure.) Then Maya addresses Cho and tells him that if anyone starts to bully him to immediately tell her and she will take care of them. Cho tells his Ninang that he will be fine for he and Ronron would be able to handle them. But Maya still insisted that he call her if any. Nay T told Maya not to worry about them. She said they will be fine. Maya then tells her mother not to worry about her for she worries for them (Oh gee I know yall worry about each other….enough now ha ha) I am the Mother, Nay T said. I am the daughter Maya said. Kute interjects and told Maya she is a daughter too. Cho then pipes in and said he is the Grandson. Maya agreed no one could take that place in the family. Then Maya tells her mother that she will be perfectly fine for Kute gave her an “agimat”. She shows Nay T Mamang’s wallet sized picture. And then everyone group hugs. (Awwww! It truly is tough to let go of anyone in the family after losing one member to death. When my Dad passed away, I couldn’t bear to see my sisters leave.)

Outside, Maya is saying goodbye to everyone including the neighbors. She told Aling Ebing to please look after her family. Ebing promised she is going to be there for them. Lino said goodbye while Simon stands by to take them to the airport. Maya tells them they could come to the airport to see her off as long as they do not cry. But right there, she is the first one to cry. (Sigh…saying goodbye is so sad. I know it always take us longer than we should. So typical.)

Sana naman kung magpakita nga si Mang Arturo sana pagtapos na yung kasal…baka matrauma pa si Mayabels sa mga lalaki dahil sa pinagagawa ni Mang Arturo baka iwasan ni naman si SC. Utang na loob, wag sana yan ang mangyari at baka mangatngat ko na ang puting kumot bago makarating kay Maya at SC.

I guess life must go on! So mga M&M’s I’m back but not fully kaya sorry ha at hindi ako nakasali and makakasali fully sa mga minkihan! I’ll try harder in 2 weeks when hopefully the month of October brings more hours in the day hahaha!

I like the slow start of our roller coaster
Actually feeling Mickey’s fun wheel/ferris wheel lang ang peg ng roller coaster ngayon.
It is Monday after all and true to form, the bcwmh creative team are slowly gearing us up for whatever they have in store for us this week.

I also like how bcwmh is showcasing the Filipino ‘bayanihan’ spirit in the way the San Nicolas neighbors are showing their support to the De La Rosa family.
And even in the way they show the concern of the extended family with the Lims!
At siempre even pinkie Emmy’s concern is so touching!
And of course, hindi papatalo si Ser Chief! Every opportunity to show his concern and love for Maya he takes and shows!
Kaya naman full of love pa rin ang ating episode despite the loss!

So even though sad, I am smiling
Kse sabi ni Kute pag umiyak pangit at tubuan ng kulite haha!
I am smiling sadly as I hold on to the rails and get ready for whatever kind of roller coaster ride we will get into this week …
– is it the kilig ride with our main love birds? Or the Nic-Nik tandem or the Amiel-MariaClara moments?
– is it the goodbye to Don/Dona moments? Wala naman na sigurong pasabog ang ating mga don and donya, ‘no?
– or maybe more surprise happenings in San Nicolas while they are adjusting to Mamang’s absence?

Sweety PieEpisode for today is in “Hinga lang” mode. Dela Rosa family seems to start to move on to their daily routine except for Maya medyo half lang
but I’m sure she is almost there and of course with the help of our super loving and sweet SC and the whole Lim Family. Sad to see DR & DE

Oo nga parang kawawa tuloy si SC sa scene na yun, parang pinabayaan ni Maya. Minsan yung editing nila di na nagkakatugma dahil siguro usually one day preparation lang sila before airtime or else absent yung usual na gumagawa.

Puro ‘okay lang ako’ si Maya today, pero mukha naman syang hindi okay… sana she let naman her BF comfort and take care of her… SC is worried about her but she’s showing a strong front… mas mahirap ang ganun, baka bigla sya mag-break down.

– Ever caring/sweet boyfriend naman talaga si SC.

– Bakit ramdam na ramdam ko ang lungkot at pagod ni Maya? (dahil kaya naulanan at nahilo ako sa kakabiyahe today sa halos kalahati ng Metro Manila)!

– Nakaka-touch ang mga San Nicholas neighbors, dumaramay pa rin. Bumabawi si Aling Ibing matapos halos masakal si NT sa burol!

– Nakakalungkot din na aalis na sina DR and DE.

– Curious, kung sino ang nag-iwan ng bulaklak sa puntod ni Mamang!

– Bagay talaga sina Nikki at Amiel!

Hina naman ng P.I. na nahire nila to investigate on TA. Kay Maya an dalli, tapos a year ang kelangan para mahanap si TA. Pano kaya sila maghahanap ng info, ? 

Linda BernardoNicolo is so funny… “miss you too”… .. “ibaba muna ang kilay mo please” . Nikki and Nicolo provide some kilig moments here.

The Dela Rosa wonder who put fresh flowers kay Mamang…. . perhaps Simon.

Amiel looks like na lovestruck kay Nikki..Lagot siya, makaka partner niya si Nikki sa practice. Mga bagets added kilig moments also.

How sweet naman si SC kay Maya sa airport. Kinilig ako nang sobra doon. SC helps Maya lessen her lungkot by being around her. Like he said to Mang Fe madaldal pa rin si Maya. That is a good positive sign sa recovery ni Maya.

Now, nag-umpisa na ang search kay Tay Arturo. Thanks to SC. Whatever the outcome, Maya for sure will appreciate ‘tong da moves ni SC. Si SC talagang very endearing.

Bakit favorite time nila lately, 1 YEAR?!

Hot WasabiYOUNG LOVE

It is exciting to witness the budding affection developing in the young characters of this story. Nikki who has recognized a while ago that she is attracted to Nicolo but realizes that what she feels for him may be unrequited, has readily accepted the fact that she has to keep her feelings for him a secret and be content with just being acknowledged as her brother’s younger sister, as far as Nicolo is concern. She knows that a relationship with her brother’s best friend might be considered inappropriate and the fact that she promised her Dad that she will not be entertaining any emotionally involvement with a boy until she is in college essentially makes her decision all too easy to make. She is content to just love him from a distance. However, the fact that she is Luke’s sister and Luke is Nicolo’s best friend presents its own set of convoluted complications. Nicolo seems to make himself too accessible for her liking. He seems to always be around her brother too frequently and visiting their house too often. Additionally, Nicolo’s latent interest in Nikki challenges her to constantly be on her guard. She definitely welcomes Nicolo’s unsolicited attention of late and it thrills her to no end. However, she has to keep her excitement in check because Luke might catch a whiff of it and that just might invite the untimely opening of Pandora’s box.

And then there is Amiel. He openly shows hints at being attracted to Nikki. If Nicolo is dense to Nikki’s feelings for him, likewise, Nikki is totally clueless about Amiel’s interest in her. If Nicolo is not going to realize in time that Nikki has taken a liking to him and Amiel will make his move and pursue Nikki as his love interest, Nicolo will definitely face a worthy adversary in winning Nikki’s heart in the future. Amiel is charming and carries a sophisticated and mysterious air about him while Nicolo is unrefined and immature.

Luke, on the other hand, seems to have left his heart in San Nicolas to the consternation of Ange. It is refreshing to see that Luke seems to reveal how closely he resembles his Dad. He evidently likes his girl with strong family values, simple, as oppose to, worldly and down to earth, as oppose to pretentious. These are character traits that his father admires in Maya.

In addition to the love story of Richard and Maya, there are other love stories that the viewers of this beloved drama can look forward to. These young loves will definitely be the source of future thrills, tickles and giggles that will keep the audience hankering for more.

Maya, since Mamang passed away has not had a good cry. She has been trying so hard to keep it together for her family during this difficult time in their lives. She has been the cornerstone for this family, ever since she left to Manila, and at any time the family face any challenges she lifts them up and infects them with the strength that seems to never run out. She is like the female version of Samson to Delilah and David to Goliath. But how long can she go on, being the strong one for everyone…She was the strength that broke down the wall between SC and Don R. Kahanga hanga ka Maya!!!

It’s okay to feel the pain and cry. Sometimes, this is the only we can express our deep hurt and move on. I think in tomorrow’s episode, when Manang Fe hugs her, will be her moment of release. She looks like she was about to breakdown. I’m ready with my box of kleenex. or better yet another towel from the pile reserved for Mamang’s passing away.

I 2nd the motion, that the flowers may have been left at Mamang’s grave by Tay Arturo. So the PI, should not have a hard time locating him. But not too soon, because I don’t want the teleserye to end!!!

SC!!!! you are soooo blessed to have Maya in your life. She will love you forever and ever!!!!

Winnie R OntiverosAt the high school, Nikki brings the West Teatro group “pasalubong” from San Nicolas. She apologizes for not having a meeting the day before. She had to catch up on everything she missed. Stacy asked her how was her trip? She begged her not to talk about the funeral because it is so sad. Nikki wanted them to enjoy the goodies and shortly after they finish eating she wants to start the rehearsal. She looks for Aryen and Stacy tells her she is out sick. (Hmmm that reminds me. Where is Megan? I don’t see her anymore. It used to always be Stacy and Megan and now only Stacy. Oh well.) Nikki agreed to stand in for Aryen and asked Amiel if he is ok with it. He has been standing there quietly observing Nikki and he of course would like that so he said ok.

At PUS, Nicolo catches up with Luke. He smacks him in the arm and said that it is unfair. He told Luke that they saw each other yesterday but he didn’t mention that he met some girls in San Nicolas. He said “Poor Angge”. Luke asked him how he found out? Then he answered his own question. He said you found out from Nikki right?Nicolo said yes. Luke is amazed that when it comes to him Nikki and Nicolo really get along well.

Back at the Chibugan, Nay T, Kute and Simon arrive back. Nay T apologizes to Simon for taking them to different places after the airport. When they walked in the Chibugan, they find all the neighbors sitting on the table. They thought they were there to check up on them but it turns out, they were all there waiting to be served. They are there to patronize the chibugan and eat. The de la Rosas are so happy for their friends.

At the airport in Manila, Richard waits for Maya to come out of the arrival area. They were both happy to see each other but Maya still looks haggard and pale. Richard told her she looks like she lost weight (Ummm yep she did Richard and so did you.) Maya apologizes for coming out late because the baggages got delayed.

In the car she gives a report to Richard about everyone. She said that Nay T buried Mamang’s things in the back yard of the house. Richard was surprised. Maya told him that is tradition although some of Mamang’s things they kept. Then Richard asked her if she thinks they should operate the chibugan already? He thought it might be too soon. Maya explained to him that Kute and Nanay T thinks they are going to be ok besides the regular customers are already missing their food. Then Maya tells Richard about what the neighbors did when they were cleaning the chibugan. They thought they were going to need to cook for them but instead they were the ones to bring the food. They wanted to have breakfast with them. She said they were so overwhelmed for their outpouring of support it relieved their stress. Richard was happy to hear…

Mukhang drama ng Dela Rosa family ang next attraction for the remainder of September and probably until early October. I believe this would be the last serious major issue sa plot that they have to deal with. After this, mukhang happy happy na and not so serious problems na lang.

She tells Richard that on the plane the FA’s were Joshua and Edzaline (Oh oh oh they were bf and gf on the movie Ekstra….uh hm yes…and they look so cute together but I still think Edz should be Simon’s love interest.) Maya said she felt funny getting served by them. She wanted to stand up and help them. Then she gave Richard the box of goodies that Nay T bought for them. She said Nay T left early to the market for them and everyone at the market gave her a discount. It’s their way of showing their condolences for Nay T’s loss. Richard thanked her. Ehman comes out of the condo and greets Maya excitedly (Ehman missed Maya) He said he is sorry for her loss. Maya said it’s ok. She said that sometimes in life you have to experience these things. Ehman told them to come inside. Inside the condo, Maya could see some improvements. Looks like Ehman has been busy while Maya is gone. Maya admired how he decorated. Ehman thanked her. He said that he cooked and there is enough for Richard too. Richard said he had to go. He wants Maya to rest. Maya asked Richard about his Mom and Dad leaving for China? Richard then told Maya that his parents want to invite her over for dinner tonight. Maya said she will attend. (He also asked Ehman to dinner but it doesn’t seem to fit with their conversation later. Hmmmm editors?????) Richard asked her again if she is going to be fine? She said yes. Maya goes inside her room. She sends a text to Kute that she’s made it home. Outside Ehman comes out of the kitchen and finds Richard still sitting at the dining table. He screams in surprise. (ha ha Ehman is funny. He scared Richard too ha ha) He told Richard he thought he left. Richard said he just wants to wait to make sure Maya does not need anything. Maya hears the commotion and comes out of the room. She too was surprised to see Richard still there. She told him to go right ahead because she knows he still needs to go to work. Maya assured him she is fine. Richard hesitantly leaves. (Aaawww! I know Richard, you will never stop worrying about Maya until you have her safe in your arms, in your house with you. Hurry up and get married ha ha)

Back at the mansion, Richard arrives. Manang Fe greets him at the foyer. Manang Fe asked Richard if he got to pick up Maya. Yes Richard replied. He told Manang Fe that he dropped her off at the condo so she could rest. At this point, Abby and Dona E come in the room. Abby runs to her Daddy. They kiss and then Richard kisses his mother too. Dona E asks Richard if Maya made it back? He said yes. She also asked if she is able to come to dinner? He said yes. That made Dona E happy. Then he hands them the box of goodies from Nanay Teresita. Dona E said they didn’t have to. Richard told her, “You know her.” (Yep we know. That is another tradition that we can’t break. We always have to bring something to our loved ones when we’ve been somewhere.) Richard tells his Mom he has to go back to the office. Dona E was hoping he’d stay home because they are leaving in the morning. Richard promised her this will be a quick one. He is just going to meet someone but it should not be too long. Dona E was happy to hear that Richard will be back very soon. He left.

At LAS, the private investigator arrived. Richard meets with him. At the condo, Maya is all dressed in her uniform to Ehman’s surprise. She said she has some business to take care of at Time Airways. Ehman tried to convince her to wait till tomorrow to do whatever it is she wanted to do but Maya said she doesn’t want to put this off for tomorrow. After all, she still has time. At Richard’s conference room, he gives the PI Maya’s father’s name…Arturo de la Rosa. The PI said it is possible they would find an Arturo de la Rosa but since it is a common name, they could not be assured they would easily find just the right person. Richard wanted them to try anyway. (Wow this PI must have a photographic memory because he does not even have a pen and a paper or a tablet to write things down. Even though Richard only has a name, he could write down where he came from and what was the story of why he left his family. I am sure this could help him in his investigation.) The PI told Richard that it might take several months up to a year to possibly find this person. Richard told him he just wants to know his whereabouts. He promised that he will update Richard regularly. (At least the ball is rolling to find Arturo unbeknownst to Maya. I hope she does not take this offensively.Richard is such a sweet man.)

The Senior Lims and Abby greet Maya as she walks in the living room. They were happy to see her. Maya tells them that she wouldn’t miss this opportunity to see them off without telling them that she appreciated them for accepting her family wholeheartedly. Dona E told Maya that it isn’t hard to love her and her family. This is music to Maya’s ears. In San Nicolas, the de la Rosa’s move on with their life. Kute using Mamang’s framed picture and copying her voice to remind Nanay T how she sounds like. Nanay T seems amused. They are reminded by Mamang in the most positive light. Her memory will linger on forever in this family as they all laugh. Manang Fe told Maya that if she needs something, to just let her know. Maya said yes and gives her the tightest hug. Behind her smile, still a hint of sadness. Her eyes are not the same. At Time Airways, Maya talks to Miss Calandra to tell her she wants a “double leg” schedule. Miss Calandra asked her if she is sure? She will have a really difficult schedule. Maya said she understands. Maya then tells Richard that she asked for a “double leg” schedule. Richard was surprised. Maya tells him she does not want to stay home and sulk. Richard told her he will sulk along with her. Maya giggles. (aaawww Maya you are going to drown your sorrows in work and then you will neglect your Ser Chief. He will miss you and then yall are going to have a misunderstanding….until you grieve properly and cry it all out. You will never be ok…just saying.)

Zel MSis Win, what can i say, completos recados pa din as always… yup, right you are, oh Nikki be careful always esp. if Abby is around and more so if Luke is around or else, you will not hear the end of it… Ikaw din isang text lang ni Abby kay Ate Maya, buking ka na naman… Oh well, kunsabagay, si Nikki pala mismo ang nagbubuking sa sarili niya ki Ate Maya ha ha ha… Am quite curious though how the creative team will explore the triangle betwen Nikki-Amiel-Niccolo as well as that of Luke-Angge-Tintin. Although am so looking forward to the Simon-Edz angle. As for Maya, I certainly hope she will go thru the grieving process and not keep everything inside, and project she’s all OK. For once, she should let others help her deal with her loss otherwise, it will take her a long time to move on. Terminology ba yan ng mga FAs ang double leg??? 2337 days agoMaria TanAs usual another great episode from BCWMH, and as always SC is very attentive and loving fiance to Maya, I can understand why Maya decided to work, double , maybe thats her way of coping with grief , losing a loved one is not easy , I know i speak from experience i lost my husband six months ago, and it wasn’t easy, i can’t function very well all i do is cry and i refused to alk to anyone, after a month i decided to go back to work most of the time double shift, and lots of prayers, BCWMH became my security blanket love between SC &Maya, and their families is one of a kind, that’s why i am very grateful to ABS CBN and the producers, advertisers, writers and the actors and actress, for extending the show, however , i personally miss Mamang…

Either may nakaraan si MAMANG and DON JULIO or si DON JULIO ang tatay ni ARTURO…..

Arggggghhh! sino nga ulet si DON JULIO?

Bernie RoqueHi Maria. I am so sorry for your loss. Yes it is not easy to lose a loved one. I lost my brother five years ago and he was my best friend and my partner in crime…lol. I miss him a lot especially when I need someone to talk to. I have 2 sisters who are ready to listen or lend their shoulders but it’s not the same. I drown my sorrows by working a lot so when I go to bed I will be so tired, I won’t have time to think about my brother. Nights were bad for me because all I did was cry and curse at the world. I even became mad at God for taking my brother away from us and the fact that he let my brother died. I didn’t want my neighbors to think something was wrong with me. In my experience, that was a bad decision on my part. I should have grieve slowly along with my family but I didn’t want my family to see my crying and sad because it makes them sad. Now after 5 years I am still grieving while everyone moved on even my family and I have no one to talk to. I am even thinking of going to a therapist to help me. We don’t know each other but I am so glad that in some way BCWMH is helping you go through the day 🙂 Hang in there…

Una muna, inalis ni SC yung unan (waaaaaahhhhhh). Pagkatapos ng ilang minuto, unti-unti na niya itong binuhat, pero nagising ito. Tumanggi si Maya na buhatin siya ni SC kaya lang nung nagsimula na siyang magsalita, ki-niss siya ni SC sa lips – madiin, matagal, mainit. Kaya di na nakatanggi si Maya at tuluyan na siyang binuhat ni SC papunta sa kama. Doon na nadungisan ang puting kumot. Woooooohooooo.

Mukhang drama ng Dela Rosa family ang next attraction for the remainder of September and probably until early October. I believe this would be the last serious major issue sa plot that they have to deal with. After this, mukhang happy happy na and not so serious problems na lang.
