– The Lims at home. Maya, Ricky, and the yayas were trying to teach Sky and Sunshine the kapit-bisig sign, but the twins did not seem interested and just continued playing.
– Meanwhile, Nikki and Luke looking at LAI FB page. Ang daming daw ng nag-post and likes including Mr. Kazuma. They showed the FB page to Mom and Dad.
– Minerva called Ricky to tell him that the Phil Daily News wants to interview him with Ms. Madrigal. The interview is actually for LAS, but they want to get Ricky’s side since he was the CEO at the time of the ACC incident and that Celeste will also be there to be interviewed. Ricky was hesitant and did not give an answer.
– Before sleeping, Maya and Ricky were talking. Ricky: So, what do you think, sweetheart, kailangan ko bang mag-pa interview? Maya: Oo naman, sweetheart, bakit hindi? Ricky: I don’t know. Maya: Sweetheart, I am sure maraming gustong makaalam ng opinion mo tungkol sa nangyari. At saka ioportunidad ito para malinaw iyong mga misconceptions at saka mga doubts ng mga tao tungkol sa LAI. Makakatulong din sa LAS. Ricky seems to agree, but did not say anything. Pwesto na sila para matulog. Hindi umakap si Maya kay Ricky pero ang right hand ni Ricky nakahawak sa tuhod ni Maya. – Barkada Bagets sa Circle Cafe. May kanta daw si Nicolo para sa barkada. Congratulatory greetings for Nicolo and Inigo as they are graduating. As they are taking 5-year college courses, Luke and Ayra will be Octoberian grads, as well as Joni. Amiel is not graduating yet (di ba behind siya ng one year kina Luke).
– Minerva came to Ricky’s office at LAI with good news. The two foreign students who backed out before are enrolling again. Naingit sa graduation pictures at nagsisi kung bakit hindi sila tumuloy. Minerva felt that they learned that Ricky has no accountability on the ACC plane crash. Also, Phil Daily News had followed up if Ricky will go for the interview and Ricky agreed.

Maya: Seven students ang nag-enrol ngayon, sweetheart!!! Ay, nakakatuwa namang. Siguro yong LAS ok na rin?
Ricky: I would like to think so.
Maya: Papa-interview ka na ba?
Ricky: Well, tinanggihan ko na si Celeste when she asked me to go back to LAS. I was thinking this is the only way I could help the company and I am hoping it will help boost the morale of the employees. Sweetheart, come with me. Samahan mo ako sa interview.
Maya: Huh? Bakit sweetheart?
Ricky: I just want you to be there. Maya just gave him her sweet smile of assent.

– Maya and Richard arrived at the LAS office for the interview with the Phil Daily News. Ricky looked apprehensive when he saw the door of the LAS office, but Maya prodded him.
– LAS employees were excited that Chief is in the house. They were asking each other if their Chief is coming back. They hoped he does.

Reporter: So how do you feel that finally the truth has come out? It has been months. How did this issue affect LAS?
Celeste: LAS is…we’re getting by. I have to admit that our company had a few setbacks, especially when I took o
ver. Letting go of Mr. Lim was the biggest mistake of LAS.
Reporter: (Surprised). It’s very brave of you to admit that, Ms. Madrigal.
Celeste: There is no point in denying it.
Reporter: And, how about you, Mr. Lim, how did this affect you? From what we’ve heard naapektuhan din daw ang pag-launch ng Lim Aviation Institute.
Ricky: Well. First of all, I would like to say that I have always trusted the quality of work of the people here at LAS. So, I wasn’t surprised when the truth came out. Regarding LAI, we had a hard time at the start, and if it wasn’t for the support of my wife and my kids, baka ngayon wala na ako sa aviation industry.
Reporter: So now that your name has been cleared, what’s next for Richard Lim? We also heard that LAI has produced its first batch of graduates.
Richard: Well, we are planning on producing more.
Reporter: Of course. Mr. Lim, do you have any plans of going back to LAS?
Richard: (Richard and Maya looked at each other. Richard took a deep breath before answering) Ms. Madrigal here will be able to put the company back into the game. She was an excellent COO during my time at LAS, and I believe that she can do her job perfectly as the company’s CEO.
Celeste: As we speak, I am already looking for someone to replace me. (Ricky, Maya, and the reporter all looked surprised)
Reporter: What do you mean by this, Ms. Madrigal?
Celeste: I would like to take this opportunity to announce my decision to step down as CEO of LAS. I would like to entrust this company to someone who can bring it back again to its former glory. (Deep sigh of relief from Celeste. Maya and Richard were quiet and just looked at each other.)
Celeste really ate a big plate of humble pie in today!!!!

Conversation of Maya, Richard, and Celeste after the reporter left.
Celeste: Yes, Richard.
Richard: But….
Celeste: Richard, I am not doing this para mapilitan kang bumalik sa LAS. Pag-uusapan namin ng board kung sino ang dapat ipalit, maybe Charles. But I am still hoping you will consider returning to LAS. (Turning to Maya) Maya, I know medyo nakukulitan ka ng marinig sa akin ito. But I want you to know that I’m so sorry. I’m really really sorry. I’m so sorry.
Maya: (Gets up from her chair and walked towards Celeste. She placed her hand on Celeste’s shoulder) Celeste, OK na yon. Siguro may dahilan kung bakit kailangan mangyari ang lahat ng ito. Marami kaming natutunan at mas naging matatag kami bilang isang pamilya. Kaya, OK na. Huwag ka ng mag-sorry. May dahilan ang lahat ng ito.
Richard: (Reachs out to Celeste and patted her hands) Everything will be OK, Celeste.
Celeste: Thank you.
– In San Nicolas, Kute and Cho came home from school. While Kute was looking for a change of clothes for Cho, Kute’s phone rang and Cho answered it. The maritime agency called Kute. It looks like they are asking Kute to submit in all her requirements. Soon, Kute will be working as a seaman.
Conversation between Kute and Cho after Kute received a call from the maritime agency.
Kute: Eto na ito, anak. Around the world yon. Kapag sumampa ako, medyo matatagalan ako ng pagbalik. OK lang ba yon sa iyo?
Cho: Oo naman po, Nay. (Cho answered quickly).
Kute: Ang bilis mo namang sumagot. Ouch! Para namang hindi mo ako mami-miss doon.
Cho: Nanay naman eh. Siyempre po nami-miss po kita. Pero pangarap mo po ito eh. Kaya susuportahan po kita..
Kute: Thank you, anak, ha.
Cho: Thank you rin po, Nay.
Kute: Para saan?
Cho: Alam ko naman po na hindi lang po ito para sa inyo. Sa amin din ni Lola Nanay at Lolo Tatay. Kaya salamat po, Nay. Thank you po, Nay.
– At LAS, after the interview, Richard and Maya came out of the conference room. The employees asked Richard if he is not really coming back to LAS. Napa-isip si Sir Chief.
Gap 4
– Richard was quiet on their drive home from the interview. In deep thoughts.
– In San Nicolas, NT, TA, and Cho were eating at the table without Kute. NT and TA asked Cho about Kute. “Ay, nasa kwarto po, kausap po si Papa Pards.” Nag-ngitian si NT at TA. Kute came into the dining room while still talking to Pards. Kute was telling him about the possibility of her getting to work on a ship. Apparently, Pards will be coming home to San Nicolas if Kute will work aboard a ship so he can take care of Cho. Kumento ni TA, “Sa wakas, magkikita na rin sila ng magiging manugang ko.” Ginatungan pa ni NT, “Alam mo, Arturo, kapag nakita mo yong batang yon, magugustuhan mo siya kasi gwuapo at mabait.” Pikon na pikon si Kute.
– Mom and Dad got home. Kids are studying for their final exams.
– At LAI, Minerva gave Richard a pile of resumes of those applying to be maintenance instructors. Looks like they are getting busier. At the end of the day, Ricky was going to pick up Maya. Maya said she still has a meeting, but Ricky will just wait for her until her meeting is over. On his way out of his office, he saw Charles and another lady in the parking lot.
– At Time Airways, Emman was wondering why they were called for a meeting. Ms. Calandra announced that because of the expansion of Time Airways, Maya, Emman, Edselin, Daniel and another FA (if I am not mistaken) were promoted from being regional FAs to international FAs. Everybody was ecstatic about the promotion.
– After they left their meeting, Emman was visualizing what it is like to be an international FA. Everyone joined in. Noticing that Maya was quiet, Emman asked Maya, “Huwag mong sabihing tatanggihan mo yong offer ha. Di ba dream mo na maging international FA?” Maya just smiled.
– At LAI, Charles: We hope that you will consider our offer, Richard. We know that your priority now is LAI and we are willing to adjust. Because you are the rightful CEO of Lim Aviation Services, and no one else is suitable enough to take your place. Lady LAS Board Member: I am willing to sell your shares back to you, Richard. Charles: Me, too. We will give you back everything you had before, Richard…. your position, your shares, the company. You can have it all back.

After the LAI graduation, (or maybe a few days after) Maya and Richard were teaching the twins how to say Kapit-Bisig and to do the gesture. They were in the living room while the kids are in the dinning table studying. Nikki suddenly made a comment to Luke that all she did was refresh the FB page of LAI and there are already a lot of likes on the photos of the Graduation Ceremony. Luke got really excited and refreshed the page and he saw what Nikki was talking about in fact he saw that there were a lot of messages posted congratulating Richard and the Institute for their first graduates and also because of the news about LAS found to be not liable in the ACC plane crash. Luke called Richard to look. The two were happy to see all the well wishers. Richard couldn’t help but take Maya close to him because he shares all of this with her. Maya pointed out that even Mr. Kozuma left a message for Richard.

But Richard’s phone rang. It was Minerva. She tells him that Philippines Daily News. Apparently they are interested in interviewing Richard but the catch is, the interview is together with Celeste Madrigal. They said the interview was for LAS but because he was the former CEO when the incident happened, then they wanted to get his side as well. Maya could tell that the phone call was about something very important. She looked at Richard but he did not respond. Instead he ended the call to Minerva without an answer.

At bedtime, Richard asked Maya if she thought he should go ahead and oblige the request of the Philippine Daily News to interview? “I think so Sweetheart why not?” She asked. “I don’t know.” Richard just isn’t sure. “Sweetheart I am sure people want to know your opinion about what happened and this is also the opportunity for you to clear up all the misconceptions and people’s doubts about LAI. This will also help LAS.” Maya explained. Richard heard his wife. He nodded in agreement. However, he still didn’t say whether he is going to do it or not. He took his eyeglasses off to get settled in bed. Maya turned off the lamp from her side of the bed. The two laid but neither closed their eyes to sleep.
At the Cafe, the gang were there hanging out in between classes. Nicolo composed a silly joke song for his buddies. The lyrics says: Congratulations to you; Congratulations to you and because of that I will treat you to fishballs. The gang clapped for him; Nikki was the loudest. “Bro never mind. Save your treat.” Luke said. “Why?” Nicolo asked. Luke messed Inigo and Nicolo’s hair telling them they are about to graduate. Nicolo looked at Nikki and said he didn’t want to graduate yet. “Maybe we should exchange because I want to finish and graduate already.” Amiel told Nicolo. “Why? Nikki and I are still going to be here.” Aira said. “Right you all took a five year course but you overloaded yourself last year so by mid-year you guys are going to be gone already.” Amiel said. Louie asked Luke when Joni is graduating? Luke told them she is an October graduate as well. The gang started teasing Luke.

In Richard’s office at LAI, Minerva walked in the door to give him the good news that the two foreign students that pulled out initially called and they want back in. They felt bad for pulling out after seeing the photos of the first graduates. Minerva also thinks that part of why they decided to return is that they heard about the news that LAS was not responsible for the plane crash. Richard seem to agree. But Minerva’s other agenda is about the request for interview with the Philippine Daily News? Richard didn’t say a word. He just nodded yes to Minerva. She nodded back and said thank you to Richard before leaving his office.

During their “You and Me” time, Richard told Maya there were seven new enrollees today. She was so excited for the new students. She thinks that LAS is doing better as well. “I’d like to think so.” Richard replied. “Are you going to grant them an interview?” Maya asked. “Well I already turned Celeste down when she asked me to go back to LAS. I was thinking this is the only way I could help the company. I was also thinking this might help boost the morale of the company.” Richard explained. Maya nodded. Both of them took a sip of their coffee. “Sweetheart, come with me to the interview.” Richard asked Maya. “Huh? Why Sweetheart?” Maya was surprised. “I just want you to be there.” Richard replied. From this point on in Richard’s life, he makes sure that he shares everything with Maya because she is his rock. Maya smiled sweetly and nodded. She will never ever leave her husband’s side. He reaches over to hold her hand.
The following day, Maya and Richard came out of the elevator to the mail floor of the LAS offices. It was a cold drab hallway…just empty walls. The two stood at the corner end of the hallway and looked toward the direction of the offices and the Board Room where they are supposed to have the interview. Richard hesitated but Maya held him. “Let’s go Sweetheart?” Maya asked. Richard knew there is no turning back. He seems nervous. But with her there he knew he’d be fine. He nodded and began to walk with Maya.
Inside the room the staff were all a buzz about what is supposed to happen in the board room. One employee asked if they think Chief is coming back? The other employee hoped so. In fact they ordered food maybe for their anticipated celebration. They all wondered what is happening? The other clerk said there is an interview going on. They are excited.

In the board room, cell phones with voice recorders were on the table to ensure they capture clearly the responses from both Richard and Celeste. “So how do you feel that finally, the truth has come out. It has been months.” The reporter asked. “How did this issue affect LAS?” He continued. Celeste looked at Richard but he decided to let her answer that question. Celeste could see that Richard and Maya’s hands were holding each other. Celeste answered carefully. “LAS is getting by. I have to admit that our company had a few set backs specially when I took over. Letting go of Mr. Lim was the biggest mistake of LAS.” Celeste said. Richard turned to look at Maya. His face was stoic. He is merely absorbing what Celeste just said. “It’s very brave of you to admit that Ms. Madrigal.” The reporter said. “There is no point in denying it.” she replied. This time the reporter turned to Richard. “And how about you Mr. Lim…how did this affect you. From what we’ve heard, the launch of LAI was also affected?” He asked Richard point blank. Richard acknowledged the reporter’s question before proceeding. “First of all I’d like to say that I have trusted the quality of work of the people here at LAS so I wasn’t surprised when the truth came out. Regarding Lim Aviation Institute, we had a hard time at the start and if wasn’t for the support of my wife and kids, I might even be in the aviation business anymore.” Richard answered. “So now that your name has been cleared, what’s next for Richard Lim. We also heard that Lim Aviation Institute has produced it’s first set of graduates.” He asked Richard. For the first time, Richard’s face brightened with a tinge of smile on his lips. “We are planning to produce even more.” Richard replied. “Of course.” The reporter understands. “Mr. Lim do you have any plans of going back to LAS?” He bluntly asked. Richard’s grip on Maya’s hand tightened. He took a deep breath before he answered. “Ms. Madrigal here will be able to put the company back in the game. She was an excellent COO during my time. And I believe that she can do her job perfectly as the company’s CEO.” Richard replied. But Celeste became uncomfortable with Richard’s praises because she has other things in mind. “As we speak, I am already looking for someone to replace me.” Celeste said. Maya was taken back at her statement. The interviewer was too. He pushes the phone closer to be sure he gets Celeste’s comment clearly. “What do you mean by your statement Ms. Madrigal?” He asked. “I would like to take this opportunity to announce my decision to step down as CEO of LAS. I would like to entrust this company to someone who can bring it back again to its former glory.” Celeste explained. She let out a deep breath. She felt so much better; relieved that she was able to make a decision for herself. Richard looked sad. He probably remembered the challenge that he gave Celeste when she went to the Institute to beg him to come back. Her reply to that challenge is to give up and accept defeat.
After the interview, Richard asked Celeste if she is really sure about her decision to step down as the CEO of LAS? Celeste is so deflated she kept her head bowed. Her stepping down from position pains her but she couldn’t live with the thought that she has brought the company down to its demise. “Richard I am not doing this to force you back to LAS. The Board and I will talk about who should take over.” Celeste replied. “Maybe it’s Charles.” she said shaking her head as if she is taunting that thought. “But I am still hoping that you would consider returning to LAS.” Celeste insists. “Maya, I know you are tired of hearing me say this but I want you to know that I am so sorry. I’m really really sorry.” Celeste turned to Maya. She is about to cry. She is trying her best not to. Maya’s heart went out to her. The guilt that she felt must really been too much for her to bear. She stood up and walked toward her and she placed her hand on Celeste’s shoulder to comfort her. “Celeste it’s ok. Maybe there is a reason why all of this had to happen. We learned a lot and our family became even stronger and steadfast. So don’t apologize anymore. There is a reason for everything.” Maya said. Finally there is a little smile on Celeste’s face. It meant a lot to her to receive Maya’s forgiveness. Richard could see how much she’s struggled. His heart broke for her too. He reached over across the table to touch her hand. “Everything will be ok Celeste.” Richard said. They both smiled. She let out a deep breath and with her eyes full of tears, she said thank you to both Maya and Richard. Forgiveness is all she ever wanted. (I have to say I am feeling sad for Celeste. It must have been a very unsettling existence to carry that guilt around inside of you. She clearly didn’t have the capability or the people skills to run a company such as LAS. She had her strengths but running a company isn’t her strongest suit. Now she is eating humble pie and putting herself out so that the company could stand once again. In my heart, you are forgiven Celeste [redface])

In San Nicolas, Cho comes home from school. Chris could tell he has been sweating. She complained that he smelled sour. Although Cho denies it, he removed his uniform and changes. But before that happened, Chris’ phone rang. It was the Maritime Agency. When Chris answered the phone, they told her that she has been accepted and if she could deliver all the necessary documents tomorrow she is going to be scheduled to sail internationally. While Chris is extremely happy that she is finally going to get to her final goal, she knew she needed to talk to Cho about it first. Cho wondered why she is staring at him. He asked why? “This is it my boy. This is around the world. When I step into the ship it will take time before I return. Is that ok?” Chris asked. “But of course Nanay.” Cho answered immediately. “Ouch! you answered really fast. It is as if you are not going to miss me at all.” Chris complained. “Nay but of course I am going to miss you. But this is your dream so I support you.” Cho replied. Chris’ eyes welled up. She knows her son is old enough to understand. She pulled him close to her. She is going to miss this boy. “Thank you my son.” She said. “Thank you to you too my mother.” he replied. “For what?” Chris asked. “I know this is not just for you. This is also for me and Lolo Tatay and Lola Nanay. That is why Thank you.” Cho answered. The two embraced tightly. (Aaawwww so sad…They are such a great pair of Mother and son…so natural so sincere. I am going to miss them two.

Richard and Maya walked out of the board room. It was obvious that the employees all waited for them. One employee had to ask if Richard is coming back at all? Richard did not answer but him and Maya saw the look on the faces of the employees. They are obviously looking to get their leader back; the person that held the walls of the building up; the person with the heart, the patience and the understanding…the one they would much rather work for. But it is a tough decision for Richard.
In the car on the way home, Richard was quiet. Maya didn’t push the issue. She just allowed him with his thoughts.

In San Nicolas, the de la Rosas eat dinner except for Kute. She is still in the room talking to Jeff. They heard only the last part of their conversation. Chris wants to make sure that Jeff has thought about his decision before proceeding. Part of the conversation is Jeff joking around with Chris because she yells at him telling him he is coming home because of Cho and not because of her. Chris hangs up the phone but could see the look on Nanay’s face. She too is teasing Christina Rose with Jeff. “So Nay, what did Papa Pards say?” Cho asked. “He said that because I am leaving he wants to come home so that while I am gone, he would take care of you.” Chris replied. Cho was so excited. He knew he has best of both worlds…a great Mom and a wonderful Dad. “That’s good anak so that I can meet my new son in law.” Tatay said. Chris begged not to get it all started. Tatay laughed and told her he is only joking. But Nanay Teresita is not done yet. “I am sure when you meet Jeff you are going to like him because he is good looking and very nice.” Nanay said. Christina Rose complained about all the joking. Cho is laughing his tails off. Nanay insists that Jeff is a really kind person and Cho agreed. Tatay just laughed while Chris is again uncomfortable with the talks of her and Jeff. (Bwahaha this is what I miss. I wished we get to see Jeff even just in one scene with Chris. I love love love their pairing. In this serye my most favorite pair aside from Richard and Maya is Nikki and Nicolo but my next favorite pair is Chris and Jeff. Seriously they have chemistry too. [biggrin])

Maya and Richard come home to find the kids studying. “Are you getting ready for the exams?” Maya asked. Luke confirmed. They didn’t say much after that. Richard and Maya just sort of noseyed around to see what the kids are studying about.

The following day at the institute, the administrative staff is busy. Everyone is either answering questions online or filing papers. Some are on the phone working on enrollments and such. When Richard walked in he was happy to see that everyone is busy working including Luke. Minerva met him and she gave him a stack of resumes of those applying for the maintenance instructors position. “We have more than we need but I figured you might want to keep the others in case we need more anticipating more students.” Minerva said. “Yes. It looks like we are going to be even more busy when the regular class begins.” Richard said. “Yes sir I agree. We are all excited.” Minerva said. Richard has nothing but a smile on his face. He could feel it. The Institute is finally taking off.

Richard calls Maya to tell her he is on his way to pick her up at the airport. Maya told him that She is still going to be in a meeting but Richard said he’ll wait for her outside. However, when Richard walked outside the institute, he was surprised to see Charles and Norma at the parking lot.
At Time Airways, Emman wondered why they are being asked to stay behind for a meeting. When Ms. Calandra walked in, it is obvious that she has the answer. “As you all know we are expanding our services to fly to different countries in Asia as well as Europe and North America. In fact the training for the Regional FA’s have just concluded so all the Regional flights are covered. But now we need international FA’s. I am going to to cut to the chase. We are promoting you to International Flight Attendants.” Ms. Calandra said to an ever excited group of FA’s. Emman said he is almost going to faint but that they are all excited. They thanked Ms. Calandra for the wonderful news. Maya could imagine herself. This is her ultimate goal to become an International Flight Attendant. She’s finally reached another mark on her dream log.

After the meeting, the FA’s file out of the room. Emman is still floating on air from excitement. “Imagine yourself having breakfast in Paris, Lunch in Milan, and Dinner in London.” Emman said. Eds was dreaming along with Emman. Dan said that he is excited to be able to see Europe finally. But Maya seemed calm and quiet. “What’s the matter roommie?” Emman asked. “Huh? Nothing.” Maya replied. “Don’t tell me you are going to turn down the offer. Isn’t it your dream to become an International Flight Attendant?” Emman asked. In Maya’s mind, Emman is right but these things do not come easy for Maya. She thinks of Richard, the kids and the twins. Maya does not make decisions without Richard’s approval.
Inside the Institute Board room, Richard meets with Charles and Norma. “We hope you consider our offer Richard. We know that your priority now is the Lim Aviation Institute and we are willing to adjust because you are the rightful CEO of Lim Aviation Services. And no one else is suitable enough to take your place.” Charles explained. Richard remained quiet. “I’m willing to sell your shares back to you Richard.” Norma said. “Me too.” Charles seconded her. “We will give you back everything you had before Richard. Your position, your shares, your company. You can have it all back.” Charles said. (Yeay! I could have sworn I said that the first time Celeste begged for Richard to return to LAS.) It seems both Richard and Maya have a whole lot to think about regarding their life, their career and their future. (But the one thing I wished they would consider is to star in the continuation of the BCWMH story and/or another soap opera. Ha ha I just can’t bet over the thought of these two never pairing again. That would be sad.)

I think Maya will be given a mangerial position or supervisor to train FAs in Time Airways na tie up ng LAI. Ayaw niya kasing malayo sa pamilya.
