Tapos, Si Richard, kahit feeling mahihirapan handling two separate companies, Napa-esep-esep dahil na-consciencia sa sinabi ng former LAS engineer na nasalubong sa airport now on his way to a new job abroad.
What finally pushed Richard to return is a petition signed by all remaining LAS employees. You’ve always likened LAS to a soaring airplane and you are its captain. Well, Capt. Lim, this plane is going down. MAYDAY! MAYDAY!!!

– At LAI, Charles and Norma are offering Richard to come back to LAS because he is the rightful CEO of Lim Aviation Services. They are willing to give back everything he had before. His position, his shares, and his company.
– At home in the twin’s nursery, Richard is asking Maya if she is going to accept the international FA position offered to her. Despite this is the fulfillment of Maya’s dreams, she is hesitating because of the time demands of such position. She still has the desire to continue working but not at the expense of not being involved in the care of the twins.
Richard and Maya’s conversation about their new job offers.
Richard: So, are you going to accept it?
Maya: Gusto ko sana, sweetheart, pero…
Richard: This is the fulfillment of your dream.
Maya: Oo nga, pero… eh kasi, sweetheart, iba yong demand ng time ng international flights, eh. May pagkakataon na dalawang linggo ko silang hindi makakasama. Sweetheart, hindi ko naman kayang hindi sila makita ng ganoong katagal.
Richard: It’s not as if you are not going to see them for a year.
Maya: Oo nga. Kaya lang, sweetheart, kung tutuusin mo naman natupad ko na rin naman yong pangarap ko eh…yong maging regional flight attendant. Gusto na… gustong subaybayan ang paglaki nila, sweetheart. Gusto ko na makasama sa kanila sa paghatid sa school. Gusto kong maka-attend ng PTA meetings nila. Gusto ko na makatulong sa assignments nila. Eh, ikaw, tatanggapin mo ba ang offer ni Charles?
Richard: I am very happy with LAI right now.
– Maya was informed by Ms Calandra that it is not obligatory to go with the international flights. So Maya prefers to stay as a regional FA. Oo, sayang ang opportunity to be an international FA, but Maya is willing to pass that up, but not pass up on the opportunity to be with her twins and see them grow. Ms. Calandra then has an another offer for Maya.
– Maya is telling Kute that she will be a line administrator who will supervise about 50 cabin crew. She will be in charge of checking and rating their performances. She will still be flying but only when she needs to check and rate the performance of her crew. This will give her more time for her twins as well as give her more chance to visit her Nanay and Tatay.
– Maya asked Kute about when she is going to start working aboard a ship. Kute will start in May (it is around school graduation time in their timeline). Kute also told Maya that Jeff will be coming home so he can watch Cho while Kute is away. Maya started teasing Kute. Kute gave a definite answer that she will never wear a wedding gown. Maya invited the Dela Rosas to her birthday.
– Lino was so upset after receiving a text message from a number he does not recognize. Also, the message was cryptic to him and even asking him to pass on some cell phone “load”. Kute figured out that the message came from Lindsay and Lino was so ecstatic.
– Ricky picked up Maya from work and congratulated her on her new position at TA. Ricky was very upbeat too, as LAI is getting a lot of inquiries on both their long-term and short-term courses. Thing are looking up.
– As they were about to head for their car, they bump into one of the engineers at LAS. Nagkamustahan. This engineer left LAS and is going to work abroad. He said that LAS does not seem to have any direction and no one is interested in taking over the position Ms. Madrigal vacated. This saddened both Richard and Maya.
Gap 2
– Ang saya sa Lims residence pagdating ng mag-asawa. The kids and yaya were ready with their congratulatory confetti for Maya. Inaya ni Abby si Maya sa dining table para ipakita ang nakahandang nilaga kasi sabi daw ni Maya, “Kapag may tiyaga, may nilaga, at kapag may nilaga, may fiesta.” Pasok si Sabel at Joma na may dala pang ibang putahe. Kainan na.
– Tulog na si Maya habang si Richard ay nasa laptop pa nya checking out LAS webpage. Hinagod pa ang ulo ng natutulog na asawa. Lingid sa alam ni Richard, gising pa si Maya at nakita ang LAS webpage sa laptop ni Richard at nakitang nag-iisip ang asawa.
– Sa LAI, nagme-meeting ang LAI staff kasama si Richard. Dahil marami ng enrollees, puede na silang tumulong sa 2 estudyante. Lumalago na ang LAI under the Midas Touch of Richard. Tapos na ang meeting pero parang ayaw pang umalis ni Minerva. May inabot na envelop kay Richard. Sulat galing sa mga empleyado ng LAS na humihingi ng saklolo.

Dear Mr. Richard Lim, You have always likened Lim Aviation Services to an airplane and we consider you as our Chief Pilot. This airplane is going down. Chief, Mayday Mayday Mayday!
– The letter made Richard smile.
Gap 3
– Before going to sleep, Richard showed the letter to Maya. Maya: Sweetheart, tignan mo, nagdi-distress call na yong mga empleyado mo sa iyo. Ano ang decision mo? Ricky: I am thinking about it, sweetheart. But if I go back, papaano yong institute? We are just starting. Maya: Kayang kaya mo yang pagsabayin, sweetheart. Ricky: Anyway, kailan ka mag-start sa bago mong position? Maya: Bukas na. Ricky: Congrats again. Good night, sweetheart.
– A group of cabin crew is wondering who their new line administrator is. They have no idea who it is. All they know is that he/she is a regional FA. In comes their new manager who introduced herself very formally and with a very serious face. “Hi, I am Maya Dela Rosa-Lim, your new line administrator.” She is also wearing a brand new uniform.
– At LAI, Engr Gutierrez is showing the airplane simulator to a group of students while Engr Yamaguchi and Sonny are talking on one side. Suddenly, Minerva came bursting in to the floor and gathered Engr G, Engr Y, and Sonny because their Sir Chief wants to tell them something. Richard came in and asked the three if they can manage to teach at LAI and at the same time work at LAS because he will need their help when he goes back to LAS. Babalik na tayo sa LAS!!! Naiyak si Engr Y sa tuwa at walang pakialam kung makita pa siya ng mga students. Sa tuwa ni Minerva inakap lahat ng boys, pati si Sir Chief !
– Ricky waiting for Maya in the parking lot. When Maya called him, he ran to Maya, gave her a kiss and a big hug, and carried her to their car where he handed her a bouquet of flowers. Richard asked how Maya’s first day was at her new position and congratulated her with a very big and tight hug. Maya noticed something different in Richard. He told Maya that he has decided to go back to LAS. Now it is Maya’s turn to give her husband and a very big and tight hug. Nakakahawa ang kanilang kagalakan na para akong lokalokang naka-ngiti sa PC monitor ko.
Gap 4
– At LAS, there is a banner saying “Welcome Back Chief”. All the employees are busy preparing for the comeback of their Chief. When Richard came in, he was warmly welcomed by his former employees. Richard assured his employees that they will fix everything. Charles and Norma saw Richard with the employees and they are not going to mail t
The followup letter to the SEC for the change in the company name as it will remain Lim Aviation Services.
– Richard entered his old office and started to look around. He was sitting on his old chair when his phone rang. DR: “Congratulations, son.” Ricky: “Thank you, Pa. Do you think I can do it? DR: Ang alin? Ricky: Save the company?” DR: “Well, there is no motivation to rise up again than the people you love. Besides, yan naman ang dahilan kung bakit ka bumalik, di ba? Ricky: “Thanks, Pa.” DR: “It’s not going to be easy we all know that. It is not easy running two companies at the same time. It takes a lot of sacrifice. Hardship will find a way to test you, but you see it does not matter how many times you stumble, what is important is that you rise up again and again and again for the people who trust you. I have faith in you. I’m sure you can do it. Ricky: I love you, Pa. Dr: I love you too, Son.

Baka babalik na si Mr. Myers sa States and decided to sell yon bahay sa kanila… (as what Charles said ”you can have it all back”)
I had the same thought. Although that was their dream house, I feel that will stay in their present house.
Natagalan ang update kasi ng walang LS at tagal ng replay. Tapos ang dami pang naganap. Pero na-post ko na and ready for your use. I will watch it again, this time dirediretso, before going to bed.
Tatlong araw na lang, tatlong episodes, approximately one hour na lang natin sila makakasamang lahat as the Lims and the Dela Rosas. Nagsisimula na ang lungkot ko. Pero thankful pa rin ako dahil nagkaroon ng ganitong show. Marami naman tayong puwedeng balikan of those bygone days.

Charles, Norma and Richard sit in the conference room of LAI. Charles and Norma lay it all out to Richard. “We hope that you consider our offer Richard. We know that your priority now is the Lim Aviation Institute and we are willing to adjust because you are the rightful CEO of Lim Aviation Services and no one else is suitable enough to take over your place.” Charles said but Norma went straight to her agenda. “I am willing to sell your shares back to you Richard.” Norma said. “Me too.” Charles seconded her statement. Richard couldn’t believe what he is hearing but he continued to listen. “We’ll give you back everything that you had before Richard….your position, your shares, the company. You can have it all back.” Charles said in a very humble manner. Richard was somewhat surprised at his demeanor specially looking back at how both of them were when that doomsday at the LAS Boardroom when they decided to fire him. Richard remained tight lipped and didn’t give them an answer. (Well not in front of the camera. I am sure we will find out later what he told them.[rolleyes])

Back at the house, Richard and Maya talk while they were in the nursery with the twins. Richard asks her if she is going to take the promotion offer from Time Airways. “So you are going to accept it?” Richard asked. Maya let out a big sigh. “I would like to Sweetheart but…” Maya has some hesitation. Richard did not allow her to give a reason. “But this is the fulfillment of your dreams.” Richard commented. “I know but it is because international flights demand a different time schedule. Sometimes, I might be gone for two weeks. I don’t think I could handle not seeing them for that long.” Maya replied. “But it is not as if you are not going to see them for a year?” Richard said. Maya smiled. “I know but Sweetheart if you think about it, I have already reached my dream of becoming a Regional Flight Attendant. I want to be here to watch them grow Sweetheart. I want to accompany them to school; I want to attend their PTA meetings; I want to help them with their assignments.” Maya explained. She simply wants to work and still be the best mother. International Flights are farther away from home and she will indeed be gone for longer stretch of time. But after explaining, Maya decided to turn the table on Richard. “How about you? Are you going to accept Charles’ offer?” She asked. Richard shook his head. “I am very happy with LAI right now.” He replied sounding like he has already made up his mind. Maya smiled and nodded her head. She understood him.

The following day, Maya spoke to Ms. Calandra about the promotion. Ms. Calandra told her that she is not obligated to accept the offer. So Maya told Ms. Calandra that she would much rather stay on as a Regional Flight Attendant. “But Maya it will be a wasted opportunity.” Ms. Calandra hopes to change her mind. But Maya is sure about her priorities. “I agree Ma’am it is a wasted opportunity but I have thought about it. It would also be a wasted opportunity for me to watch my children grow.” Maya explained. Ms. Calandra understands her decision but she has another thing on her sleeve. “Well if that is the case, we have another offer.” Ms. Calandra said. “Huh? What is it Ma’am?” Maya asked. Ms. Calandra smiled.

Maya spoke to Christina Rose after speaking to Ms. Calandra. She tells her about the job offer. “What is it? Line Administrator?” Chris asked again to be sure she understood what Maya said. “Yes Kute. It is because I turned down their offer to promote me to International Flights so they gave me another option.” Maya said. “What are you going to be doing?” Chris asked. “I am going to supervise more or less fifty Cabin Crew and part of my job is to check and to rate their performance. And in case my crew got involved in a problem like passenger complaints, that would also be part of my job.” Maya explained. “Wow so you are not going to fly anymore?” Chris asked. “No I will still fly but only every once in a while now like during Check Ride or when I have to assess the crew’s performance.” Maya explained further. “That’s great because you will have more time for the kids now.” Chris saw the benefit of this position. Maya is more grounded. She told her sister that part of her decision is because of Nanay and Tatay. She realizes that they are not getting any younger and that she wants to have a lot of time to visit them. Finally Maya remembered. “Kute I am so excited that your dreams of working on a ship is going to come true.” Maya commented. Chris smiled. “Just don’t worry about Nanay and Tatay. If there is a problem in San Nicolas, I can easily go back there to help them.” Maya said. She asked when Chris is sailing? She said she is going in May. Chris told Maya that she spoke to Jeff and he decided to come home so that while she is gone, he would take over taking care of Cho. Maya was delighted for Chris’ big news. She teases her sister but she is adamant that she will never be caught dead in a wedding gown. [biggrin] (Kute is so funny. She feels like having the heebeejeebees thinking of being married even to Jeff.) But Maya’s last request is for Chris, Cho and her parents to come to Manila for her birthday. It was what she said just before they hung up the phone.

After hanging up the phone Christina Rose noticed that the dirty plates on the table haven’t been bussed so she calls out to Lino who is on the other side of the room. She asks what’s the matter that while she is on the phone, he seemed to have stopped working. Lino is perturbed at an odd text that he received. He gave his cell phone to Chris to ask her if she recognizes the phone number. He said the texter is annoying. This text message was asking him if he is ready and most of all he is upset that this person is asking him to pass some load. Chris reads the text message. “Lino…Didn’t I tell you that when I am ready I am going to send you a text message? I am ready now. Will you pass me a load on my number?” Chris read it which infuriated Lino more. “Isn’t that texter an idiot? If that texter is ready then go ahead and go. Why do I have to go? Who is that anyway asking me to pass a phone load? What an idiot!” Lino is really perturbed. Chris called Lino out. She reminded him about the person who told him that when she is ready to be courted, she is going to send him a text? At first Lino is confused until he had a flashback of Lindsay telling him just that….that when she is ready she will let him know via text and that if she does not have enough phone service minutes, she will ask him to pass her a load. Suddenly Lino got extremely excited. He walked around thanking God for Lindsay. He almost tripped trying to walk across to the customers on the other table to announce that he is happy to hear from Lindsay. [rofl][crazy][love]He was making such a commotion that Nanay and Tatay ran from the other side of the house to see what is happening? But Lino was too excited. “Nay I am sooo happy. Thank you Lord.” Lino said burying his head between Nanay and Tatay in excitement. Then he pulls away to ask the two a favor. “I know what I want to do. I want to ask you for a pay advance and so I could take a leave of absence.” He said. “Wait, you are going to ask for a pay advance and then take a leave?” Tatay asked. But Lino begged. “Please please” He asked. “For what?” Nanay asked. “I just need to go to Batangas.” He replied. “Batangas?” Nanay and Tatay were confused. Christina Rose couldn’t help it. She is laughing at Lino.

That afternoon, Maya was walking out of the terminal with the other FA’s. Richard was already waiting for her. He calls out to her and with a big smile and open arms he welcomes Maya back. The two tightly embraced. “Congratulations on your new position.” Richard said. “Thank you. How was work?” Maya asked. “We were very busy. There were so many enrollees for the short courses and the inquiries for the regular courses were a lot too it’s unbelievable.” Richard told Maya. “Really? Well Congratulations Sweetheart.” Maya said. While Richard and her got ready to go, a person walking by recognized them. “Chief, Mrs. Lim.” He called out to both of them. When Richard looked up, he immediately recognized him. “Engr. Nathera how are you?” Richard asked. “Well here I am Chief, leaving for abroad.” He replied. “What? I thought you stayed at LAS according to Engr. Yamaguchi?” Richard asked. “I really couldn’t stay there any longer Chief. I feel bad for LAS.” Engr. Nathera said. “But they have already been cleared about the issue with ACC.” Richard commented while Maya just listened. “I know Chief but I believe it has to do with Management. It looks like the company has no direction specially now. It appears that no one wants to take the position that Ms. Madrigal left.” Engr. Nathera explained. Richard and Maya clearly were saddened by this news. “The others are leaving as well. It is a pity.” Engr. Nathera added. Richard and Maya couldn’t say anything back. He excused himself telling them that he still has to check in before his flight. Richard just nodded and Maya remained quiet but waved back at him. After he left, Richard was obviously worried for LAS. After all, there is still a place in his heart for that company that he put together. It is also possible, Richard is feeling guilty for turning down their request for him to return. Maya rubbed him on the shoulder to comfort him knowing he is pained to learn the company is really going down.
F
At home when Maya and Richard walked in, the table has been set but there was no one present in the front room when they walked in. But the kids, Doris, Nikki and Abby were just hiding behind the door. They came walking out and screaming Congratulations. Luke came out of the other side of the wall with a confetti tube. He popped one that sent out a ton of confetti on Maya and Richard. They all hugged her telling her congratulations. Maya’s heart was so happy to be congratulated by her family. While Maya was still kissing the twins, Abby was already trying to pull her to the dinning room. She was excited to show her the food waiting at the table. It was a huge bowl of “Nilaga” (beef soup). Nikki said that they cooked it specially for her because of her saying “Kung may tiaga may nilaga” (If you are patient, you will have success. The beef soup is the symbol of success.) But Abby wasn’t done yet. “At pag may nilaga….” (And when there is beef soup….) Abby points toward the kitchen door. In comes sabel with a huge plate of food. “May fiesta.” Sabel said while being followed by Joma and two more plates of food. Maya covered her mouth. Everyone was cheering. She said thank you to everyone for the celebration. They kissed again. But while she is thanking the family and Richard, Sabel and Joma came out with two more dishes from the back kitchen. “Oh my goodness the food is plentiful. It looks like we are going to feed an entire barrio.” Maya commented. “Ok what are we waiting for? Attack!” Maya said. (Wow! that is how we looked like when we got all the Thanksgiving feast ready for the grub. As soon as the prayers were said, we Attacked the food too. Thank goodness I made two turkeys for 23 people. We had more than enough including take home. An entire bag of potatoes was boiled (for the mashed potatoes) and was swiped out. My big casserole of sweet yam was also swiped out. The ham left a few pieces for sandwich the following day. The left over turkey I made into a turkey and rice soup the following day. Pies and smores for dessert [biggrin][thumb]) The family found their seats. Doris placed the twins on their high chairs as they all chant about eating. Richard was happy to see the family get excited over dinner but for the most part, he is still a little quiet assuming the thought of LAS has not escaped his mind.

Later that night, Maya has obviously had a long day. She was curled up and her eyes were already closed but Richard was still up and browsing the internet. [comp] He turned to look at Maya. He placed his right hand on her head caressing her hair to help her deepen her sleep. His other hand is on the computer shifting through pages of a link that he is looking at. First he is looking at the Lim Aviation Institute Facebook page but behind it was the LAS website. He made it bigger so he could read the page even though he has seen it a million times before. He thought about the company as he tries to accept the truth that it is in its last leg. How quickly did everything happen? It just seems like he left the company only a few months ago. With one swift mismanagement, it is facing it’s impending demise if he does not go there to salvage it. Maya held his arm on her head and she slightly opened her eyes. She could see the LAS page on Richard’s computer screen. She knows what is in her husband’s mind. Although her eyes were closed, the thought of LAS does not escape her mind either. But there is nothing that she could do to help Richard. He has to think things through himself.

At the conference room at LAI, Richard talks to his staff about the implementation of the Scholarship program. Dan gave his report. “So far, with this number of enrollees, we can already afford to subsidize two of our incoming freshman for each regular course. Sir, we hit our target.” He happily reports. Richard smiles. “Ok then. Let’s finalize the requirements and qualifications for scholarship. Sally please present it to me next meeting.” Richard said before dismissing everyone. (Wow…LAS even hit their target market. It only took the clearing of Richard’s name before the institute is recognized by potential students and others with interest as well. [thumb])
While the rest filed out of the conference room, Minerva remained glued to her chair. “Minerva we are done.” Richard told her. But she still remained seated. She obviously has another agenda on her plate. Suddenly she took an envelope from the bottom of her organizer and handed it to Richard. “Someone wants to give this to you sir.” Minerva said. Richard took the envelope and asked who is the letter from? Minerva didn’t answer. She knew he is going to find out as soon as he reads it. Quietly he read the letter:
Dear Mr. Richard Lim,
You have always likened Lim Aviation Services to an airplane and we consider you as our Chief Pilot. This airplane is going down. Chief…mayday! Mayday! Mayday!
What he sees after the note are signatures of the employees left working at the company. Their names were all too familiar to Richard. For some of them he probably knows even their families, wife, husband and children. “That is over 700 employees sir. They really want you back.” Minerva said. Richard’s heart is crushed. He turned down Celeste, Charles and Norma but his heart breaks for these employees who have given their lives for the company. Richard looked at Minerva but words couldn’t come out. His mind tells him that the company didn’t trust him enough when there was a crisis and in fact made him the escape goat and now they are begging him to save them. But his heart tells him to have compassion for those people who’s livelihood depends on the company. There will be 700 people who will be out of work if he does not, at least, try to help re-establish, re-organize, re-manage LAS. Richard Lim knows this is a big decision and it’s going to be a long climb back to where LAS was before. (I was feeling teary eyed seeing the signatures of those lowly employees begging him to come back. They know Richard is their leader and that if there is someone who could save the company it would be him. He has the heart and compassion for the employees and they know it so for their last ditch effort to save their jobs, they call on him. A petition for him to return as their rightful leader.)
Richard showed the letter to Maya that evening just before they turned in to bed. Maya told him that the employees of LAS is sending a distressed call to him. But Richard is still mum about what he is thinking. “What is your decision?” Maya asked. “I’m thinking about it Sweetheart. But if I go back, how is the Institute? We’re just starting.” He asked Maya what she thought. Maya gave it a quick thought but her trust in Richard’s ability overpowered her thoughts. “I trust you. You could easily run both places successfully.” Maya replied. Richard smiled. He knew Maya’s opinion is biased but it makes him feel good to hear it from her anyway. He turned the table on Maya. He asked when she is going to start in her new position? Maya said that she will tomorrow. Richard is so proud of her and congratulated her once more. He gave her another kiss just before they got ready to lay down. Maya settled and said goodnight. He replied the same but while Maya closed her eyes, his is still wide open probably thinking of LAS.

At the FA launge the junior FA’s are talking about their new Line Administrator. They heard that this person was a Regional FA. They were wondering who it is? One male FA said that he knows a few Regional FA’s like Ma’am Edsaline, Sir Dane and Ma’am Maya. As soon as Maya’s name was mentioned another FA made a comment that she too knows who Maya is. “She is the one who is always happy and smiling.” She said. The other FA who’s worked with Maya before has her number. She thought she could give her a call to find out if she knew who the new Line Administrator is? But just as she was dialing her phone, a person with black pumps and thick black nylons walked in the door. When the camera spanned it up, she is wearing her administrative uniform. “Hi I am Maya de la Rosa Lim, your new Line Administrator.” Maya said. The girls were all so surprised and happy to see her. They know they are going to be in good hands with Maya. She too was delighted to start a new adventure with these FA’s under her wings.

At LAI, Engr. Gutierrez was walking a new group of students and showing them the flight simulator of airbus 8020 telling the students that the Institute is high tech having actual state of the art flight simulators to learn from. But blow the stairs, Minerva was running to interrupt Engr. Gutierrez. She also called on Engr. Yamaguchi and Sonny who were standing on the other side of the simulator. She told them that is little pow wow is going to be a quick one. Richard just wants to tell them something. The four including Minerva then gathered on one side of the stairs to face Richard. “Chief were you going to tell us something?” Engr. Yamaguchi asked. “Yes.” Richard said before he paused. Then he resumed. “Are you able to teach here while you worked at LAS?” Richard asked them. They were confused. “Why Chief?” Engr. Gutierrez asked. “Because if I go back to LAS I will be needing your help.” Richard replied. Engr. Yamaguchi smiled big. Sonny couldn’t believe it. He needs confirmation. “Are you going back to LAS Chief?” Sonny asked. Minerva couldn’t contain herself. “Yes!” She screamed and jumped up and down. At one point Minerva gave Richard a hug. Gutierrez said Yes too celebrating. Engr. Yamaguchi got teary eyed. Engr. Gutierrez told him to hold it because it is embarrassing to the students but Engr. Yamaguchi doesn’t care. Richard just watched his trusted and loyal employees celebrate for joy. They love their job at the institute but there is a place in their hearts for LAS seeing it through grow and progress. They are happy to return to LAS.

That evening, Richard couldn’t wait to tell Maya the news. The two decided to meet in the parking lot. Maya sees Richard and she calls to him. “Sweetheart.” She said. Halfway running and walking fast, Richard approached Maya. But you could tell he is floating on air with happiness. The two embraced tightly…it’s bear hugs for them. Richard couldn’t contain his excitement, he picks up Maya and walks her back to the front of the car. Maya squirms to be put down. When he does, he grabs the flowers and hands it to Maya. It warmed Maya’s heart. “Thank you Sweetheart. My husband is really so sweet.” Maya said looking at the flowers. “So how was your first day?” Richard asked. “It was great. In fact I already bonded with my crew like my own children.” Maya replied. “Children? Don’t tell me they call you Nanay?” Richard asked. “Yes Sweetheart because that is how the Cabin Crew and the Line Administrator call each other.” Maya explained. Richard just gave Maya another bear hug. It was so tight his biceps flared up and filled the sleeve of his shirt; I thought he was going to turn into the incredible Richard Hulk and tear his shirt up into pieces (Hmmm that wouldn’t be such a bad idea ha ha…[idea]) He moved from side to side while Maya strains from his tight embrace. “Sweetheart I can’t breath.” Maya said. His right arm bicep wrapped around Maya’s neck. (Ha ha poor Maya. She is so tini tiny like a skinny stick to Richard’s gigantuous arms.) Richard finally let her go. He is still full of energy. “I’m so proud of you.” He told his wife. But Maya couldn’t understand what is up with him.

“What is going on?” Maya asked. “Nothing. I just had a meeting with the Board of Directors of LAS.” Richard said giving Maya a clue. But she wants to be sure she got it right. “Board of Directors of Lim Aviation Services? Does it mean….” Maya paused to absorb what Richard is saying. “I am going back to Lim Aviation Services.” Richard said. Maya was sooooo happy to hear her husband’s decision. She put the flowers down on the hood of the car. It was her turn to get giddy and excited for her husband. She gave him a huge Maya bear hug complete with swaying side to side which made Richard look dizzy. [crazy] Richard laughed so hard. Maya let go of him just long enough to jump back into his arms. Richard then picked her up and swung her around. The two were so happy. It marked the start of a new beginning in their lives. It also meant that they have overcome the huge hurdle and they got over it. What a wonderful feeling it is for them to celebrate their Kapit-bisig journey together. (Maya is so fragile I thought her legs were going to separate from her body when Richard was swinging her around.)

After the welcome back celebration, Richard walked back into his executive office. He looked around. It is still the way he left it before. He walked to ward his desk. He run his fingers on it remembering those long hours he spent behind this desk thinking, strategizing, managing the operations of the company. He walked toward the shelf where the different awards of LAS is still displayed…proof that LAS was once an aviation giant who garnered a lot of recognition for it’s top service and excellent work. He picked up one of them. It is the last one the company received from Pilipinas Aviation Society, one of the most prestigious in the aviation industry. This one is a plaque of appreciation to LAS for Safety Promotions. Holding it in his hands makes this all so real. He placed the award back in the shelf and then walked toward his executive chair. He felt the leather on the chair and slowly he pulled it back so he could give it another test run. It felt good to sit down on that chair again. At one point he rested his head on the shoulder of the chair and relaxed. He was enjoying his quiet moment re acquainting himself back in his office.

While quietly sitting on the executive chair, behind the executive desk in the executive CEO of Lim Aviation Services, Richard’s phone rang. It was his father. “Congratulations son.” Don R said. “Thank you Pa.” Richard replied. “Think I can do it?” Richard asked his father. “Do what?” Don R asked. “Save the company.” Richard replied. “Well you know there is no greater motivation to rise up again than the people you love. Besides, that is the reason why you returned right?” Don R said. “Thanks Pa.” Richard said nodding his head. He knows his father is right. “It isn’t gonna be easy…we both know that. It’s not easy running two companies at the same time. Hardship will find a way to test you. But you see, it does not matter how many times you stumble. What’s important is that you rise up again and again and again for the people who trust you. I have faith in you. I know you can do it.” Don R was sure. “I love you Pa.” Richard said. “I love you too son.” Don R said. He smiled. He is proud of Richard. After that conversation, Richard feels ready to face the challenges of bringing Lim Aviation Services back to its greatest form.
