Tahimik ang umaga sa Lim household… hanggang may sumigaw sa labas.

“HELLO NEIGHBORS!”

Napatigil si Maya.
Napatayo si Richard.
Nagkatinginan ang mga bata.

Sa tapat ng bahay, may bagong lipat —
maingay, friendly, at parang walang filter.

“Hi! I’m Tita Sunny! I brought cookies!”

Bella peeked from behind Maya.
The woman waved enthusiastically.

It was a peaceful Saturday morning. Maya was watering her plants, Richard was reading the newspaper, and the kids were lounging in the living room.

Then—

“HELLO NEIGHBORS!”

The voice was loud enough to make Richard drop his mug.

Maya blinked.
“What… was that?”

They stepped outside and saw a woman waving from across the street — mid‑40s, bright floral dress, oversized sunglasses, and the energy of someone who drank three cups of coffee before sunrise.

She marched toward them with a tray of cookies.

“Hi! I’m Sunny! But you can call me Tita Sunny! I just moved in and I want to meet everyone!”

Maya smiled politely.
“Oh—welcome to the neighborhood.”

Sunny leaned in conspiratorially.
“I heard this is the famous Lim household. The doctor! The flight attendant! The beautiful kids! And—”
She spotted Bella peeking from behind Maya.
“Ay! Who’s this pretty girl?”

Bella froze.

Maya placed a gentle hand on her back.
“This is Bella. She’s staying with us.”

Sunny’s face softened.
“Well hello, Bella! I brought cookies. They’re sweet — like me!”

Bella giggled despite herself.

Richard approached, shaking Sunny’s hand.
“Welcome, Sunny. We’re glad to have you here.”

Sunny grinned.
“Oh, you’ll be seeing a lot of me. I’m very… friendly.”

Luke whispered to Nikki,
“Translation: noisy.”

Nikki elbowed him.

Sunny looked around the neighborhood dramatically.
“Finally! A place with good people. I can feel it. I have a sixth sense for kindness.”

Maya raised an eyebrow.
“Is that so?”

Sunny nodded proudly.
“Yes! And my sixth sense is telling me… you’re all wonderful.”

Bella smiled shyly.
“Tita Sunny… thank you for the cookies.”

Sunny’s expression softened even more.
“You’re welcome, sweetheart. Anytime.”

As Sunny walked back to her house — still waving — Richard whispered:

“Well… things just got interesting.”

Maya laughed.
“Oh, Richard… you have no idea.”
