Just like what Raffi said: Maya is entitled to everything. So kasama dun ang gusto nya na TOE at weeksary.
I observed naman Maya is still the same, meaning, andun pa rin yung maturity niya on other things. Pero pagdating kay SC and on their relationship, lovesick lang peg niya kasi nga first time niya to be in a relationship, regardless of her age and being an FA na. Pagbigyan na natin ang happiness niya. Good vibes lang!!!!

Richard’s reply is very typical for men and Maya’s response is not a surprise because that is her character. But I’m not really sure which is worse: you have to tell everything to your partner so that he’ll know what you expect from him then he will outright tell you that he doesn’t want to celebrate it or gawin mo yong ginawa ni Maya and get exactly the same response from your partner like what Daddy Singkit just did.
Mas gusto ko iyong reaction ni Raffy at iyon din yong gagawin ko if I were in Maya’s shoes. But in the teaser for tomorrow, it seems that Maya will have her time to be heard. Be prepared Daddy Singkit, your Girl needs another re-assurance.
Will tomorrow be the time for revelation sa Lim’s Household? I looked closely at Abby’s face, she seemed to be unhappy that her father has a girlfriend already. I thought that Abby knows or has an inkling that something special is going on between her Dad and Maya or maybe not judging from her facial expression? But I think the thorn will still come from Nikki as always the jealous one:-((

Ok I admit… naawa ako kay Maya . .. di na ako naiinis.
Today’s episode moved my core in ways that I’d like to highlight the characters.
1.Maya – I salute her inner strength and maturity to withstand the ordeal she’d undergone when confronted with her disappointments/frustration when her efforts had gone afloat and unappreciated. She acted with such grace and control by not letting her emotions got the better of her. Her positive disposition carried her through the situation. She put her own feelings aside; instead prioritized the needs of her man by caring and giving her undivided attention to Richard and his affairs. And when it matter the most, she supported him in his endeavors… understanding him… and simply loving him quietly. In her realization that she and Richard came from two different worlds, she further displayed such maturity by accepting and embracing that truth and wholeheartedly willing to adjust and compromise for the sake of her beloved.
2.Richard – we may love to hate him at this point, but understanding where he’s coming from, we really cannot fault him for his actions or the lack of it. We need to understand that at his stature, he needed to be in control, composed, serious and guarded most of the times, given that he had to wear different hats every single day… plus the reality that a lot of people and families rely on him. With such burden on his shoulder, he had been engulfed in the seriousness of corporate responsibilities; taking good care of his own family not to mention trapped in his own personal loss/tragedy that he detached himself from his vulnerabilities, his own emotions and feelings. He had been so caught up with these burdens that he protected himself by numbing that part of him that he became so cold-hearted. But having met Maya thawed/melted that coldness in him and stirred him to warm up to the kids and everyone in his surroundings. The impact that Maya had on him was so massive that he may have fought hard to suppress and stayed in his comfort zone until he had no option but to give in. The surge of emotions so foreign to him started creeping in, making him uncomfortable and vulnerable. But his love for Maya had grown so deep that he now is willing to break all these barriers he had built within him. Now we are seeing another side of Richard, being aware and sensitive enough to his ladylove as he picked up the dismay look and disappointment in her face when he forgot about the “weeksary” and in the process felt that uneasiness with himself not knowing how to appease his amore. He knew he made a terrible mistake, yet he was clueless how to remedy the situation. He knew he had to make amends. On a lighter note, see how he cherished the gift that he received from his Maya, opening it with so much care, loving it and with so much pride… Let’s give him time peeps… he’s thawing…melting… slowly but surely.
3.Family, Friends and Loved ones –
Both Maya and Richard are lucky. They both have people in their lives who are always there to guide them when they stray away and conflicted with situations and difficulties… always reminding them, guiding them to the right direction… always there to listen when no one seem to… they are the lifelines, the shoulders to cry on…the listening ears at the end of the line… always ready to impart the wisdom required of them. They are the cheerleaders that would be routing and jumping like crazy for their happiness or the compass that would lead them right back to the path of bliss and happiness. They are indeed lucky to have Manang Fe, Raffi, Kute, Eman and even the co-Fas by their side.
Lastly, let me end by highlighting these memorable lines that stuck in my head and planted in my heart…
– “Kung pwede nga lang araw araw akong magcelebrate na tayo…” (Maya)
– “That’s what makes it so unique. Maya loves you so much that every moment with you is special to her.” (Raffi)
– “Maliit na bagay yan… pero kung minsan yung ganyan kaliit na bagay, yan ang nagpapasaya saming mga babae.” (Manang Fe)
– “Lahat tayo merong expectations… pero yung partner mo meron ding expectations… tapos kapag hindi napagbibigyan yung mga expectations, dapat wag sumama ang loob natin. Dapat matuto tayong magbigayan, yung sinasabi nilang compromiso, give and take. Dapat tanggap mo kung sino sya o ano sya.” (Kute)

Humihiling din ako sa mga bulalakaw na tawagin na ni Maya si Ser Chief ng “Richard”. Iba rin kasi yung dating na yun. Parang equal footing na sila. A woman calling her man. Ganun.
Hay. Medyo na-sad ako for Maya. Can’t blame Ser Chief naman. Kasi medyo odd talaga to celebrate a “weeksary.” Kahit nung first time ko, tanda ko naman kung ilang weeks na kami pero yung first monthsary naman ang cinelebrate.
Ayan na start na ng LQ, nakalimutan yun weeksary.
The Voice
I have to say this one is on Richard. As I mentioned yesterday, this “weeksary” thing may be new to him, but he could’ve at least appreciate Maya’s effort. He totally missed the mark on this one. It’s not about the weeksary, it’s about what it represents. Maya is still in disbelief that the man she used to daydream about, but couldn’t even stand to be around her, is now head over hills in love with her. Now, she just wants to cherish each moment with him. Yes, it’s a little over the top, but he could’ve at least validate her feelings instead of trying to dismiss it. Not that Richard cares less for Maya now. Just keep in mind this man came from being so distant and guarded. There are certain things that are not clicking right now in his brain. He is an engineer after all. Everything is about logic and being practical.
This is just the beginning. These two need to find their groove as a couple. As friends, they were fantastic, but as a couple is a different story. There are now certain expectations from one another. It’s really not the matter of who is right and who is wrong. Richard and Maya each have valid points. Thank goodness that both of them are blessed with “the voice” of reason, Manang Fe and/or Raffi for Richard and Kute for Maya. It’s almost like they have their own personal Dr. Phil. Someone who can provide them unbiased and honest feedback. Manang Fe and Raffi were able to point out to Richard the reason behind Maya’s intentions. Kute on the other hand, was able to make Maya understand that she is in a relationship and it’s not about what she says goes. There needs to be compromise and consideration for the other person. Richard is not just some “Joe” you find in the street, therefore the cute stuff do not really apply. It’s almost like Michelle Obama calling Barack, chiko or buko. Yeah, that doesn’t sound right.
One good thing about Richard and Maya is they are always willing to listen. There are also outside factors that need to be considered. Richard is getting preoccupied with his new hangar launch. Maya doesn’t really have an eight – five schedule. He’s logical and she’s emotional…men versus women…Mars versus Venus. Whatever it is, one thing for sure is that Richard and Maya’s love for each other can overcome this as long as they both stay focus, which they are. Eventually, they will find their harmony again….they always do.
Sige Raffi, sermon galore kay SC for forgetting the weeksary!!!!!
Natuwa naman ako kasi may kakampi si Maya sa pag-celebrate ng weeksary, thanks to bestfriend Raffi.
And I’m glad na nakapag-usap si Kute and Maya about the TOE, si Kute lang kasi ang makakapag-pa-realize kay Maya ng mga bagay-bagay eh, kung si SC kasi ang magsasabi kay Maya nun, Maya will surely be offended. So go Kute, explain things to your sister.
Finally! Kute will talk some sense out of Maya. It’s very sweet of her. No questions there. But, seeing SC’s reaction, parang imbis na mawindang parang he’s taken aback.
Hindi lahat ng gusto ni Maya pwedeng mangyari sa relasyon nila ni SC. She has to think of Ser Chief’s preferences too! Hay thank you Lord! Good bye Chiko, Buko, Biko or whatever! ‘Ser Chief’ stay for good na, please.

I agree 100 percent with Kute. She was honest and has very good insight. I appreciate how she told Maya bluntly that Chiko and Buko aren’t appropriate for Sir Richard. If only all of us women could be like Maya in being very understanding with our men, our lives would be ala BCMH teleserye, a feel good show and super kilig show. Nothing could wake me up at 1:30 am to do anything, but this show does, I couldn’t believe it!!
To other people who reviews the show, it’s okay to criticize, but let’s not be mean. Be careful with what you type. And to those who think that other people’s review are below the belt, don’t talk back like it’s a cat fight. BCWH is a feel good show, therefore, us viewers are expected to act accordingly as feel good viewers.

Each episode is so packed with a lot of salient points of good moral values and daily lessons in life.
Allow me to point out a few…. Unconditional Love. Maya went all out to celebrate their weeksary. I felt a tug in my heart when Ser Chief didn’t remember at all.
But because Maya loves him so much, she still reassures him that everything is fine even though it isn’t.
Rafi was right in saying Maya loves Se Chief so much that every moment with him is special. I’ve been there, done that as well.
To some, this might be a bit much but I say when you love someone, you’ve got to give it your all and expect nothing in return.
The pleasure and satisfaction I get with showering my love ones with love is priceless.
I know this might contradict others who believe that one has to have an ace up their shoulder so as not to be too hurt if the relationship does not work.
My take on this? I would still give it my best shot and if it is still not enough and he still leaves, it is his loss. At least I know I gave my best 101%. A P P R E C I A T I O N Sorry for using caps lock but I want to stress a point esp. to all the monks on this forum who are too scared to come out, ha ha ha.
I miss Willand. I know this would have been a good topic for him.
Anyway, It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to make us happy.
Manang Fe hit a bulls eye when she said that it is the little things that count. And Rafi could not have said it better.
Just love her reaction when she found out SC forgot their weeksary.

It was like she really reacted in behalf of the countless of fans who are so mad at SC right now.
The least Ser Chief can reeeeeaally do is APPRECIATE what Maya has done for him.
I feel that the kiss on her cheek was not enough to compensate for him being so dense and clueless!

I have an advice for moms with little boys. Teach them while they are young.
Teach them to appreciate every little things, every little details on how to make us happy.
Show them tender loving care so they would know how to give it too.
Teach them how to be sweet to you coz by the time they get older, it would just be second nature to them.
Believe me, their girlfriends and wives would thank you and love you too.
I got nothing to thank my mom in law for, except my hubby’s good genes and brains…ha ha ha!

My hubby always forgets my birthday and special occasions that it would take me a week to finally stop my tampo.
When I found out he can’t remember his mom’s birthday as well, I have learned to accept the fact that he is just not the type to remember this stuff.
So now I just go to the mall and buy something for myself and thank him later.
If only I learned to accept who he was noon pa, I could probably have my own jewelry store by now.
Just imagine how big it would be! That’s 24 years of marriage! ha ha ha..
The worst thing that Maya can do is to change Ser Chief into someone he is not.
Never ever change a man coz you can never teach an old dog new tricks!
And speaking of old dog, ha ha ha…let us give Ser Chief tips on how to make it up to Maya.

I’m curious kung ano ang aabutan ng advise ni Nikki kay Niccolo. I like this storyline, Aira is makakainis but is putting some spice to the whole situation.
It will be a very interesting beach vacation indeed if that ever happens.
It looks like Kute is going to make some sense into Maya, thank goodness. Now, that’s consistent to that character. SC’s puzzled look was quite appropriate, he could not figure out what all the fuss was about.
Maya, the girl, was disappointed as she would of course, but maybe, this could be a lesson for her as well.
Hence, Kute’s advise. Is Chieko finally gone? I hope! Buko? Biko? I think we’ve already had a full meal, time to go to the bathroom and flush it all out. The Beach vacation sounds promising. I’m sure the night class will have something to say about that!

Usap usap na lang siguro si Ricardo at Maya kapag may time, Yung kay Maya ganun talaga na-excite kasi 1st BF, tapos si SirChief pa na crush niya naging jowa niya kaya ganun siya ka OA. Kay Sir Chief naman nanibago siguro kasi iba rin yung time nila ni Alex at time ngayon ni Maya.
Magkaiba naman talaga kasi si Alex at Maya. Tapos yun age gap pa nila Maya & SC, daanin na lang talaga sa usap ano gusto nila mangyari sa relationship nila. Pero unahin muna nila gawin is ipaalam na sa mga kiddos na In A Relationship na sila dalawa, bago pa mag monthsary.
Tama si Emman, KISS na lang ibayad ni Maya sa utang nya kay SirChief. Ricardo, sige accepted na nakalimutan mo weeksary nyo ni Maya sabi nga ni Maya ok lang (pero deep inside sad siya).
Papano magiging malambing si sir chief eh, I think he is also cringing with rest of us. I just can’t imagine how Jodi and Richard yap can keep a straight face reading this very cheesy lines.

Hirap talaga pag ang kinuha mong boyfriend is quite older than you. I hope the writers will understand na hindi kasi siya appropriate kay SC. I mean ako nahihiya kay Maya eh. Sana kahit man lang sa ganitong bagay medyo alam nya how to connect to him. And at the same time naawa sa kanya para tuloy di niya ma-enjoy yung being in love.
Hindi sila magka-page ni SC. Sana wala ng ganito. Sana iba na lang maisip nila na situations in tackling the age gap issues. Yun lang.

Sa teaser yesterday, inayos ni Nikki ang collar ng Dad niya, pero kanina, nawala na yung scene na yun. Then ang polo shirt ni SC ay iba nung umalis and nung dumating sa condo ni Maya to celebrate their weeksary and I don’t think magkaibang araw yung gusto nilang i-portray. Calling the attention of Master Editor – mukhang marami na pong inconsistencies!
HERE IS MY SUGGESTION FOR A ROMANTIC SCENE FOR RICHARD AND MAYA. This is para makabawi si Richard for his insensitivity and inconsideration of Maya’s weeksary preparation.
(Context: Sir Chief is still really busy with the Clark Hangar Launch Preparation. He hardly has any free time.
Maya also is busy with work. Her schedule is erratic; sometimes it is a day flight, sometimes it is evening flight.)
So at the first opportunity that Sir Chief has a lull in his work load, he surprises Maya at the airport. He picks her up to bring her back home.
But before he picks her up, he preps the car. He takes some rose petals, yellow and red (yellow for “sorry” and red for “I love you”) and place the petals behind the sun visor in the passenger seat, where Maya usually sits. On the mirror itself, he writes two post it notes. One saying ” I love you” and the other “I’m sorry”. While on the road, SC will tell Maya that she has something on her cheek. Maya will then pull the visor down and see her surprise flower shower and the notes posted there.
If there is time, they can do the following in addition to the car ride:
If it is night time, he packs a picnic basket and they go back to the university open field where they can look at the stars. If it is during the day, then he can take her to the park.
The idea is that it should not be a big production and should not require an out of town trip.
I think even with just the sundo from the airport and the flower shower, Maya will already be pleased. Maya goes home and back to work SC will go.

The writers are getting exactly what they want to achieve for putting Buko, Biko, Chiko and Weeksary in the episodes this week.
After today’s episode, I realized, they want to show the extreme cheesiness of a first timer in a relationship. I myself cannot take Chiko but because of what Sir Jimuel said in twitter I tried to swallow my bitterness for that TOE and tried to TOLERATE and ENDURE it. But like all of you, hindi ko kaya! Napapayuko ako pag naririnig ko yun! Tuloy hindi ko matapos ang dialogue and I can’t see SC’s reaction.
Everyone’s celebrating the weeksary in twitter land but I can’t join! I just tweeted 1 hashtag I guess just to be sport about it but really? Weeksary? Bleh!
I tried to remember if I was that excited about my first BF but considering I’m more like SC than Maya, hindi ko rin take!!
Kung ganun ka OA sa weeksary, paano na sa Monthsary and Anniversary? Mapepressure si boyfie na mag prepare niyan!
Suggestion for what Richard can do to make it up with Maya:
I think that Maya was most happy when Richard prepared that picnic under the stars. She was all smiles laying down on one pillow with Richard. She was also happy to find out that he took the MRT for her. So i think that she does not need an elaborate gesture.
I can imagine Richard taking her to the new hangar in Clark and inside one of the private planes, may hinanda siyang candle light dinner tapos merong Sax player a la Kenny G to play them songs like Breathless (igoogle mo yong song)…tapos after dinner, pag labas nila sa plane, merong band naka set up sa labas to give them a private concert where they can dance under the stars all night to the songs: I’ll Be, Leather and Lace, Lady in Red, Save the Best for Last, and You Light Up My Life…..haaaayyy now i want to be a lamok on this date. Ha ha
I know SC is suppose to teach Maya how to act in a relationship but (as pointed out by someone) hindi madali yun for him since he knows masasaktan niya si Maya. We notice that SC is not as affectionate and not as sweet anymore to Maya and mas mabuti pa noong nangliligaw pa, may beso and hug. I guess the writers are trying to show that SC is caught in between being sweet and respectful cause he knows that Maya will probably wouldn’t know how to stop him if things happen, you know.
If SC would talk to her about being OA Maya would surely take it as something offensive and a lack on her part as a GF. Thus, sister talk would help her in here.
I do understand how SC forgot about why they have dinner ( not the dinner itself. Kahit nga pagod sa byahe, nag pakita lang sa kids, date agad. It shows he didn’t forget. Plus, he was really tired, so it’s understandable that he’ short of patience for Maya’s kakulitan, especially nung phone call)The girl’s head is indeed up in cloud nine. She needs this heartache to knock sense in her head.
Let’s give them this week to tackle this issue. Mas mabuti nga naman that they’d solve this first before they open up to others especially the kids. The kids wouldn’t take Maya seriously for their Dad if she acts like a lovesick puppy.

(I know zel suggested this scene but she suggested it for Sir Chief para makabawi siya kay Maya. I am suggesting it for the marriage proposal.) Location: Most romantic place in San Nicolas. Evening so that the stars are all out. Maybe even a full moon.
When: When the family takes a vacation there. They keep this a secret from Maya. At the same time, Maya also goes on vacation there to be with family.
Prep: The Dela Rosas are in on this proposal. They actually bring Maya to the site with the excuse that they just want to go there to walk around. The Lims will already be there. The tree is going to be lit like a Christmas tree….but not flickering….just white lights. Tree will only be lit when Maya gets to the tree for the surprise reveal. Tee lights all around floating on the lake in the background. Kute sings the show’s theme song in the background. She also sings the song played during the prom when she wore her mini black dress. That was when Sir Chief dropped his jaw looking at drop dead gorgeous Maya.
Richard and the Lim children join in serenading Maya. They approach Maya one at a time. Each of them holding a bunch of flowers of different types:
Luke carries a bouquet of carnation. It symbolizes pride and beauty both of which Maya has.
Nikki carries a bouquet of long stemmed orchids. Orchids stand for beauty.
Abby holds a bouquet of fragrant gardenias. Sweet and graceful is what this flower signify.
Richard offers Maya three dozens of red roses to symbolize his passionate love for her. Richard proposes to Maya and the children will serve as witnesses along with Kute, Nanay, Mamang and Cho. Maya of course answers “Yes!”
Abby will be the ring bearer. When it is time for Richard to give the ring to Maya, Abby approaches. The ring will be inside the box Maya made for Abby. She called it “Ipon Ni Abby.”
No there will be no fireworks display. The fireworks will be expressed in joy and excitement that everyone present will share.
THAT IS MY HUMBLE SUGGESTION TO HOW RICHARD WILL PROPOSE TO MAYA WHEN THE TIME COMES………..*.*
Sa tingin ko wala namang panget sa ginagawa ni Maya. It’s her first time. You may think na just because she is a 25 year old woman she has to be mature enough now that she’s in a relationship. What you fail to realize is that this is a girl who grew up in a conservative way and does not know what it’s like to be in a relationship.
Kung sasabihin na dapat mature siya, what exactly do you want her to be? In her character it’s only natural to be like that. Baka pag nag mature sya sabihin naman na naging serious na sya at ndi na sweet.
Saka why all the nega on Maya? Dapat si Maya lang ba ang laging understanding? Dapat lagi nalang sya ang mag a-adjust? Pano naman si Ser Chief? Does he not have any flaw para laging si Maya lang ang punahin?
If Richard really wants to please Maya or not offend her then he should talk to her. Hindi naman porke sa kanya na nanggaling nega na agad ang dating kay Maya. Nasa tamang paraan naman yun ng pag-uusap. He is considered the experienced one so bakit ganun ang dating niya? Tulad ng napansin nyo parang ndi na sya sweet. Is it because kampante na sya dahil sila na or something else? Ang dating kasi parang si Maya lang ang bigay ng bigay at siya kuha ng kuha.
At dun sa TOE, Richard ACCEPTED it, hindi sya umayaw kaya wala tayo say dun dahil sya naman ang pumayag. Whatever their TOE is wala na tayo say dun. Mas maraming pang tao sa mundo ang mas cheesy pa and cringe worthy and tawagan kaysa sa kanila. It just depends on the individuals in the relationship.
If you’re going to say all kinds of things about what Maya is doing wrong then you are being close minded. Anyone in this good Earth can be like that. Innocent, naïve, and inexperienced. Kaya huwag basta basta mag judge dahil di natin alam, this may be a way for her to learn what she should and shouldn’t do. Just wait lang tayo at darating din ang point na mag ma-mature sya.
Sorry kung mapahaba. Maaawa lang ako kay Maya. Parang kasing lahat nalang ng ginagawa nya mali even though wala naman syang mali.
Mauubusan ng pera si Maya if every week may weeksary, from gifts to food and decorations, ang OA. Pati mga Chieko and Buko na yan super OA.
Well maybe the writers just wanted to show who Maya is really is as a girlfriend, first time kasi kaya na over.
At least Kute will make some sense into her.
I hope Maya will lessen her sweetness kay Sir Chief para si Ricardo naman ang mag lalambing sa kanya. Sana sa beach scene dun na magaganap ang first kiss.

To the brilliant writers, another pat on the back and magkabilang kurot sa pisngi. They have been consistent in delivering good storylines in all 229 episodes. Two snaps and a Z from me!!!
From the looks of it, the writers will be bringing back “Ser Chief”. I cringe every time I hear Chiko – no inflection in Maya’s voice can make the term sweeter. It is what it is…Chiko. Ser Chief is an original TOE and only Maya can say it in many different loving ways.
“…it’s a sad, sad situation…. sorry seems to be the hardest word.”
Note to Richard. You were so dense and insensitive. Did you not see the look of disappointment and dejection on Maya’s face? You could have made a conscious effort to appreciate the dinner setting and the décor that Maya put a great deal of time and loving effort just for you. Didn’t she look lovely too? Maya was clear as daylight about her weeksary dinner plans, you heard her but were not listening. If you only knew that Maya went to great length to cook her dream (literally) kare-kare. You could have saved the evening by taking Maya’s hands into yours holding them tight, looking lovingly into her eyes and said “I love you. I’m sorry” (as sincere as your Sorry Puede Ba harana), then proceeded to hug her tight, telling her “maybe I should have called you first but I was dying to get to you, I was dreaming while I drove, the long straight road ahead… I drove all night to get to you” (thanks Celine) but rather your defense was “pag-aawayan ba natin ito?” A dozen yellow roses might give you some reprieve, it’s never too late.
Maya had all the right to feel the way she did. She showed maturity and patience when she set aside her hurt kahit gusto na niyang awayin si Richard. She even remembered to serve the bagoong. I would have deprived him of the bagoong…what’s kare-kare without bagoong. Poetic justice.
I got emotional when she went back to her love board, book and box of trinkets. It reminded me of my own which I have saved all these years…dried flowers, chocolate wrapper, bus stubs, movie tickets, coins, yellow painted eggshells, yellow lightbulb (??) (I don’t know why!).
Maya runs to her beloved sister advisor and staunch supporter Kute who always gives her sound advice as she sees things from the perspective of a kuya and an ate – she sees things from both sides. It seems that Maya will take heed Kute’s wise words on compromise, acceptance and to temper her level of expectations. Our Maya is back to her sweet smile and good vibes.
If I may suggest one scenario to the writers. Richard, to make up for your lack of sense and sensitivity, take Maya out on a romantic dinner and dance date, your first. Maya will be wearing her little black prom dress. As the music plays, take her hand, lead her to the dance floor, and slow dance cheek to cheek to the soft rendition of “As Time Goes By” no words need to be exchanged just loving looks. Should this happen……I will do a flatline please DNR for I will be in seventh heaven.

After all, they have been through some serious challenges together. And she knows that Maya will definitely listen to her. Although she imparts her counsel laced with humor, Kute still does the job. She jolts Maya to a state of wakefulness and shakes her out of her own fantasy. She makes Maya understand what the reality of her situation is with Richard so that she can start looking at things more maturely. She makes Maya realize that her terms of endearment are silly-sounding and unrefined, inappropriate at best, when applied to a CEO. She makes Maya aware that her expectations of Sir Chief should be modified and toned down a bit. She gives her a short lecture on how to compromise. All these Maya takes to heart.

M: Di naman tayo nag-aaway ah.
SC: What do you call this?
M: Kung pwede nga lang mag-celebrate tayo araw-araw kasi hindi ko naman akalain na magiging tayo. Masama bang magcelebrate?
SC: I don’t wan’t to fight over this.
I really felt the sadness in Maya’s heart. I know she’s been over the top this week to the point of being OA sometimes, but the disappointment in her face earlier really made it’s mark. although I’m looking at it as a learning experience for her.
Lito naman si Sir Chief. Hay typical guy. Porque sinabing okay lang eh okay lang.. hmmpp. Nikki – stalker mode on na naman sa fb hehhe. May kirot talaga ang first gap na yun. Felt really sad for her.
I love how confident ang Maya na sabihin kay Emman na sigurado siya na hinding-hindi na malilimutan ni SC ang mga susunod nilang celebrations.

I think that scene served its purpose. The writers were able to explain the views of men vs. the opinion of women regarding anniversaries and remembering special dates.

Ser Chief has a point. It’s a good thing he was able to reprimand Nikki while it’s early. I can understand Nikki’s jealousy but what she’s doing is indeed wrong. I hope Nikki sees the good intention of Ser Chief.

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we tend to be preoccupied with a lot of things that sometimes, side-tracking and/or ignoring what matters the most… sometimes we unintentionally disregard those we hold close to our heart. And just like that, we hit the bump hard and get derailed… Sir Chief jolted back to his senses, had a 360 degrees turn and with such speed, got right back on track wasting no time, took the control and put everything into perspective. He was in his zone again… in control… in the most endearing way only he could muster… There you go again with your “the moves” Sir Chief! – right to the chase! Sweeping your Maya off her feet and proudly announcing into the open – yes she is your girlfriend… all yours… And just like that, love is in the air once again. All doubts, insecurities gone kaput! See Sir Chief? Happy Maya=Happy Richard…
Stop. Look. Listen. – So as in love and relationship, we need to stop for a little while. Take a deep breath, compose one self and then look into the situation. With all the chaos, mixed signals sent, two hearts can let it all out and listen to what each has to say. And when all is said, each voice heard and solutions or understanding achieved, then off we go and continue the journey called love. For love is no black and white… but all the mixture of different colors and shades. It is a palette with all the right colors and perfect mixes stirred lovingly and gently to come up with the perfect canvas.
Everything is rosy again in Maya’s eyes. She had been reassured and she definitely felt the love her Sir Chief had showered her. She was most happy to comply and submit to her man and appreciated the gesture and the simplicity of their impromptu date plus the bonus of being identified “out in the open” as SC’s girlfriend. She was pleasantly surprised and started warming up to the idea of being identified as Sir Chief’s girlfriend. Until she got jolted with the news that the kids had been informed of Sir Chief’s relationship status. She knew, in her heart, she needed to confront the issue once and for all.
As for the Lim household, Richard – the loving and caring Dad that he is, never failed to connect with the kids. His heartfelt talk with Nikki, reassuring her that despite his reprimanding her, still loves her and cares deeply for her… even giving his vote of confidence with her fashion sense. On the other hand, the doting father and loving boyfriend that he is, wanted to share his happiness to those important to him. While keeping his promise to conceal Maya’s identity, Richard came out in the open with the kids about his relationship status. While they were all supportive of their Dad’s love life, the news brought mixed feelings to the table… Luke was receptive and accepting; Nikki was reluctant, protective but supportive even declaring her reservation and delaying her vote of approval until she meets the girlfriend. Abby, on the other hand remains a revelation to me. It’s amazing how despite her young age, she is so deep and attuned to her Dad so much so that when she heard the news, she exchanged a meaningful look with her Dad, then quietly stood up and gave him a loving hug and reassurance. She also sent her siblings a message that all is well when she asked him about the girlfriend being “mabait” and liking her. What wisdom for a child that age! What caught me further and I could never get enough of, were her facial expressions as Ate Nikki tried to extract additional details of their Dad’s girlfriend. I so love the long deep breath she took, covering her lips as if to contain herself and those mischievous grin and incessant nods that seem to know something that her siblings were not aware of.
And then again the teaser… my heartbeat stopped… and two lines stuck in my head… (at sumabit sa puso ko).
– “…It’s our family…” (Sir Chief)
– “It’s not the ice cream we want, it’s … the company.”(Luke)
Maya: Pangit ba yun Chieko at Buko?
Kute:Yong totoo? Hindi bagay kay Sir Richard. Bunso alam ko naman na alam mo yun may mga gusto kang mangyari diyan sa relasyon ninyo, hindi naman lahat yun masusunod eh sa totoo lang kung ako tatanungin mo parang mas bagay pa nga yun Ser Chief eh kasi dun naman nagsimula ang lahat di ba?
Maya: Alam mo Kute naisip ko nga rin yan eh ipapaalam ko sa kanya na kung ok lang na Ser Chief ang itawag ko ulit sa kanya.
G-rrrrr talaga!! I don’t know what happened, my review did not post tried twice. Anyway, maki-ride na lang sa iyo Zel M, ok lang ba? Parang angkas sa jeepney mo. Thanks I see that everybody is on board here. I will be doing my Ninja moves (Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle courtesy of my son) will be catching-up with the exchanges later today as there is a “sary” that I have to celebrate with my family.
There is nothing more that I can add to the reviews eloquently written by all – verbatim or otherwise.
However, let me just say that this one really puts fire on my pants and should not disappoint the naysayers. The kilig moments are too many to mention. First off, the three houseketeers – Joma and Isa-Dor, shouting Maya’s name unison and confirming their suspicion that there was something special happening between SC and Maya. It is not surprising as they have been privy to Maya’s affection for her SC since she came to the mansion.
I love that Maya and Richard were able to sort out their differences and did not let their misunderstanding linger. Maya again showed her maturity when she patiently explained to Richard why she was not responding to his numerous texts cutting short his tiger mode. With the barrage of text messages, Ser Chief, I hope you were not driving and texting. Also, puede ba your texts are so terse and tone down naman in addressing Maya – “Magbihis ka. Do I have to repeat what I said?”. Commander mode din. But I have to give it to you, hindi na baywalk, carinderia na – wow, moving on up!!
That was a tender moment on the dining table when Richard finally confessed to his children that he has a girlfriend. Although Richard promised Maya he would wait to tell his children until she was ready, he could no longer keep it a secret from them lest they find out from other people. Their reactions were expected, Luke welcomed the news understanding the needs of his Dad, Abby was at first disappointed but her love for her Dad was boundless assuring him that she will like her whoever she is, while Nikki is reserving her vote (or veto) thinking like a young woman protective of her Dad. The beach birthday celebration for Maya should be the perfect time and setting for them to finally come out and admit to the whole family na sila na. Looking forward to Maya and Richard walking on the beach holding hands with the sun setting on the background.
It is admirable how Kute and Jeff are also in sync when it comes to Cho’s welfare. Both are thinking of sending him to a private school realizing that Cho is a bright kid. A perfect segue for Jeff’s departure from the show – going back to the Middle East to be able to afford Cho’s tuition. Kute on the other hand will have to put her dream of being a seaman on hold once again to take care of her son. Kapit-bisig.
Kute: Oh ano ok ka na ba?
Maya: Oo naman Kute kung hindi ako magiging ok paano magiging ok ang lahat.
Kute: Naks yan naman ang gusto ko sa iyo eh hindi ka nauubusan ng good vibes.
Maya: Siyempre at saka Kute alam mo naisip ko na parang OA din naman ako sa pag eexpect ng dapat mangyari sa relasyon naming.

Coming to Maya’s birthday I hope something big will happen here. On the other hand I think Nikki has a clue to who that woman that their dadis talking about.there are lots of kilig moments in these show and I still enjoy watching them

I love how Kute was giving advises to Maya while Pards was listening to what Kute was saying. Haha I’ll truly miss Kuteff. Now we can look forward to a more kilig to the max week!

Thank Goodness Richard Lim is back. I thought I’d lost the Richard Lim I’ve learned to adore in chaos of his corporate affairs. I was actually a bit worried in the past few days why the writers are showing us that he’s feeling for Maya are just short live parang ningas kugon. But in today’s episode, I was re-assured with his sincerity, feeling ko ako si Maya de la Rosa. ” I want you to be happy, I want us to be happy, I am with my girlfriend” These were the words that carries Maya into 7th heaven and made her smile like a Cheshire Cat.
I also love to see back Richard the family man and so caring Dad. His scene with Nikki is so touching, it brought tears to my eyes. I miss these tender moments with the kids because this is really what made me hooked with the show.
But for me, the biggest winner for today was Abby. I can say that this little girl had grown up fast and today showed more maturity than her other siblings. I noticed the apprehension in her face, a little concern that she might be losing her Dad to a stranger. But then her love for his Dad prevails and give him a congratulatory hug.
But I think there was more to this than meets the eye. When Abby looked at his Dad in the eye and asked him, If whether this girlfriend would like her and Richard responded with ” Of course Baby .”, it seems that they were communicating thru their eyes. Somewhat there were some unspoken words that only the two of them understands which prompted Abby to say, ” I like her already”
Is it just my imagination? Maybe or maybe not. Kita kits tayo later:-))

Ikaw na Kute… Ikaw na ang Guardian Angel ni Maya. Back to Sir Chief na lang where it all started.
Regarding the episode today, thank goodness short-lived lang ang pagiging loca de amor ni Maya. The episode today proved again that there are always reasons why they might surprise us with unusual scenes. May patutunguhan talaga. Punong-puno ng good values kanina (Nikki-SC and Maya-Kute) and it was probably one of my favorite episodes. Kahit less kilig, more depth naman.
By the way, Jodi is ambidextrous … Meaning her right and left hemisphere of her brain/head is balanced… The artist and analyst in her, that is. I love how vocal she (maya) is with her thoughts and ideas and I love it more in her when she submits herself to her man.
I love it when Richard takes the wheel and be in control and yet so mindful and loving towards maya. He might not be the man we want of him and yet and love his love-language towards maya. I love the way his mouth twinge when he entered the condo… You can see the boiling point already and yet he tried to kept it from exploding….that was very manly…

I think, SC thought na galit sa kanya si Maya because she’s not texting him back. So napasugod siya ng wala sa oras sa condo ni Maya. Apparently, she was just taking a shower, parang ganun ang intindi ko.
Naparanoid si SC sa sobrang pampapa guilty ni Rafi at manang Fe. Akala galit pa talaga si Maya, sa sobrang paranoid siguro, inilabas for dinner.
Pero I must say, one of the best episodes ang epi today. Kasi di man kinikilig eh ang daming matututunan lalo na sa mga may relasyon. Dito mo makikita kung anu-ano ang dahilan ng pag-aaway ng magjowa. at kung paano aayusin. (heck, kikiligin na naman ako nito )
NO KISSING BUT MADE UP ANYWAY
“I accept that we are two different people in different worlds. I don’t want to burden you with my expectations and most of all I don’t want you to just give in for my sake. I now know where I stand.” Maya never ceases to amaze me with her simple but matured mind. And although Richard was in the mood to attack the issue once and for all, Maya stayed focused and calmed in explaining to Richard exactly how she feels. She was also obedient to the halfway frantic Richard as he orders her to get dressed. (Talaga tong si Ser Chief o, napaka bossy!)
I super love the expression of Rafi when she said “WHAT” to Ser Chief, feeling ko ako nang-aaward kay ser chief. Heck, Maya! ikaw na ang pinakapositive na tao sa buong mundo! San kaya ako makakakuha ng powers ng gaya mo? Writers, you never cease to amaze me! Handsdown!
Going back sa beach episode, naalala ko lang ang mga pinoy films noong dekada 80, pag beach laging may kantahan at sayawan, production number kung baga.
Naisip ko lang sumasayaw ang love birds at ibang cast sa beach pero mas natawa ako kay SC imagining him dancing in his wet white pants

-the suspicious doris, sabel and joma (in fairness u made the right guess)
-the way SC walks going to the condo ( parang sasali sa suguran factor dito.. hahaha)
-the way SC confront maya about the TOE
-the way maya explain her tampo and her expectations and plan towards their relationship
-the proud bf look of SC when he introduced maya to his staff
-the moment maya told SC about her happiness of being introduced as his gf for the first tym
-the way SC prepares his children before breaking the news to them ( he made sure first that nikki is not mad at him already)
-the way abby reacted and asking assurance from her dad about the kindness of the girl ( baby abby if only u knw,, ur dad’s gf loves u more than u knw)
-the way kids teased their blushing dad
-the way kute and maya talked on how to make kapit-bisig n their family possible
-the way luke explain to his sisters that their dad needs to have his own life also and that they should trust him n his choice

I must say that todays episode clearly distinguish many of my concerns for the show. At first with this weeks episode everything seemed to have been going slow for the story, many roadblocks. Not that I’m complaining, I really admired the writers for giving us that spice in the story. Even though some people have been so negative with the past few episodes. I think that the whole “kilig” moments and the romantic scenes will coming up soon. Good job writers for giving us that moment or anticipation for the story.
As for todays episode, I really admired how SC didn’t even bother getting home but heading straight towards Maya condo. Realizing that he was wrong for forgetting that special weeksary with Maya, and getting to the point that he would just knocked on the door and ask Maya to just confess if she is mad at him. I would say kudos for you SC (even though your a fictional character your still my IDOL), that took a lot of guts. As for Maya, it’s a very good thing that she finally understood that SC and her are very different and when she said that “Alam ko na kung saan ako lulugar” I can finally say that Maya is at the stage of becoming more mature of their situation. I also liked the reaction Maya gave when SC introduces her to one of his employees that “Im with my girlfriend” I couldn’t resist but smile with her. I mean her smile is so addicting (which made my love for Jodi/Maya even more greater :D).
Another great scene that I believed that complete the story is the short scene between Maya and Kute. That whole conversation with the two was very emotional in my case and has given us that sense of reality that every person in the world is experiencing right now. I love how Kute just took charge of what she needs to do in her life and told Maya that she is the eldest and that she needed help for Maya anymore because of the fact that Maya also has her life to live with as well. However, I also understand Mayas point that the whole reason she wanted to become a flight stewardess was not only for herself but also for her family. So that she could helped out with all the financial problems. Having that part in the episodes was very interesting and very true to what OFW or other individuals who are pursuing something for their family.
Last but not least the confession of SC to the kids of him having a GF. When that scene first started I quickly thought of this confession would be the cause of Maya and SC first and real LQ. However, it was different he still thought of Maya and respected her decisions to stay low and wait until she is ready (another point for IDOL), and with the kids reaction I was really impressed of how Abby handled the situation. That instead of becoming more worried about the mysterious lady the her dad is dating, she just came up and hugged her dad and told him that “I think I like her already”. My only concern is Nikki and how she will take this, I’m sure she would understand and accept Maya eventually. But, with her being suspicious I’m just worried of what might happen next. Also I can’t wait for tomorrows episode, even though that the writers will leave a big cliffhanger tomorrow. I just can’t wait I’m too addicted to this show. I hope the series doesn’t end yet, so please Writers keep this series longer and GREAT JOB on giving us this series.

He parked, he looked, did a three-point turn and he’s off! Richard hates the feeling of losing control. Step aside for now Maya, “The Chief” will take over the wheel. Without even saying hello, he knew, he needs to do damage control before everything goes downhill. Both of them need to stop, think and regroup. It’s not that Richard is patronizing Maya, he just realized that he somehow he lost focus for a minute there. Love also means knowing the things that are important to other person. And this is important to Maya. After hearing what Richard said, which woman could stay mad? Nice one Mr. Lim. Now everything is back on track. Nanay once asked, how is Richard going to introduce Maya to his world. Simple…with no hesitation, Richard proudly said to his employee that he is with his girlfriend, Maya. It can’t get any more official than that! With her ear to ear smile and I’m sure the viewers were smiling with her as well, they are now, Chief Richard and Ma’am Maya.
If it were up to Richard, he would’ve paraded Maya as his woman from day one. But out of respect to Maya’s request, just like what I said previously, he is caught between a rock and hard place. As he held the pen that Maya gave him as a gift, Richard cannot stand keeping secrets from his children. He needed to find a way to be fair to them and at the same time not break his promise to Maya. For the children not to know who the girlfriend is leaves that feeling of uncertainty. Although, Luke, Nikki and Abby trust their Dad, this announcement might’ve done more harm than good. Richard is very lucky to have such amazing children. Even if they were feeling they’re losing their Dad to some mystery woman, to a complete stranger, they put their personal feelings aside. They realized Richard deserves a chance to be with someone he loves and love him back. At such a young age, Abby, can already grasp the idea of what this means for Richard, as she hugged him, she lead her siblings in reassuring their father that they are fine as long as their Dad is happy.
Maya needs to trust these children. She needs to see that she had built a strong enough relationship with them, even with Nikki, and that whatever they have will not go away when she tells them. These children are smart. They know that Maya genuinely care for them. For all Richard and Maya know, Luke, Nikki and Abby are probably secretly wishing that woman their dad is referring to be Maya. The children are obviously ready. Again, perfection is sometimes the enemy of the good. They need to let these children know sooner rather than later. The longer Maya prolongs the inevitable the longer they are misleading them. And this can surely have a negative feedback. Maya just needs to bite the bullet and tell them. Give the Lim children the family they deserve….that mother’s touch these children have been longing for.

‘Be Careful With My Heart’ forever? Jodi says OK
Kilig-serye’ to reach one year on air
MANILA, Philippines — Jodi Sta. Maria said she is open to the prospect of “Be Careful With My Heart” having several more extensions, even to the point of staying on air “forever.”
This, after the 30-year-old lead star of the top-rating daytime series disclosed to reporters on Tuesday that it will reach one year on air, having been extended until July.
“As of the moment, I think abot pa tayo hanggang July. Kung mag-extend pa, sasabihin naman nila ‘yon,” Sta. Maria said at the sidelines of a press conference launching her latest endorsement.
First aired in July 2012 and originally set for a one-season run, “Be Careful With My Heart” has been extended numerous times due to its popularity.
The last announced extension of the “kilig-serye” placed its final episode some time in June.
‘Forever’ on air
In April, ABS-CBN president and chief executive officer Charo Santos-Concio said in jest that the series will stay on air “forever,” when asked if it will be extended once again.
“It will be there forever. Hanggang magkaroon ng apo (laughs)… As long as the public is supporting ‘Be Careful With My Heart,’ it will be there,” she said.
Asked on Tuesday if she is willing to portray Maya for a long period of time, comparable to the run of the well-loved sitcom “John En Marsha,” Sta. Maria said, “Wala namang problema.”
Aired from 1973 to 1990, “John En Marsha” is a situational comedy series that centered on the Puruntong family, with late actors Dolphy and Nida Blanca leading the cast.
Of having a similarly long run as the sitcom for her daytime series, Sta. Maria said, “As long as alam namin na gusto pa ng tao na panoorin ‘yung show, alam namin na maraming pang nai-inspire sa pinapalabas namin, maraming natututo sa ‘Be Careful With My Heart,’ bakit naman hindi? Kung iyon ‘yung serbisyo na maibibigay namin para sa mga tao…”
Big-screen ‘kilig’?
Apart from the TV series, “John En Marsha” spawned several film titles.
Addressing reports that “Be Careful With My Heart” will similarly have a big-screen version, Sta. Maria said that while there is interest in producing a film, “accommodating” it has proven to be challenging.
“January palang, may mga haka-haka nang gagawin siyang pelikula, pero gusto man naming gawing film siya, ang problema lang kasi ay ‘yung time,” she said.
“Kasi meron kaming tour, nagte-taping na kami ngayon almost everyday, dahil hand-to-mouth ‘yung programa, so hindi namin sure kung kaya pa bang i-accommodate ng schedules namin ‘yung pelikula. Pero if there’s a will naman, there’s a way. Abangan nalang din,” she said.
Learning from Maya
With the massive success of “Be Careful With My Heart,” which is credited for “re-writing” daytime programming on local TV, Sta. Maria said she has felt its impact on her 15-year career.
But the actress is cautious not to let the fame “get to her head.”
“This is something that’s temporary. Hindi ko siya iniisip talaga. Sabi ko nga e, siguro na-appreciate lang ako now ng mga tao bilang aktor, pero I am still the same person, I still do the same things,” she said.
She added: “Fame is something na hindi mo dapat nilalagay sa ulo mo, e. It’s not permanent, lahat naman puwede mabago.”
Nonetheless, Sta. Maria said she welcomes the personal changes brought about by her cheery and optimistic character in the series.
“Nabago outlook ko sa buhay, kasi kahit ako, e, natututo ako kay Maya. I’m learning a lot from my character, kasi kumbaga siya kasi, si Ms. Positivity ‘yun, e,” she said.
“Kahit gaano na kapangit ang isang sitwasyon o isang bagay, she still sees na may maganda paring idudulot ‘yung sitwasyon na ‘yon, so in a way, yeah, may natututunan din ako sa kanya,” she said.

I subscribed is so I can watch Be Careful With My Heart anytime, anyplace, any episode and most importantly so I can watch the next days episode at
10:20pm the night before, California time. I already have TFC from Comcast and just bought the volume 1-10 DVD. But this isn’t even enough because
I watch my favorite episodes so many times.
I always look forward and enjoy reading all your reviews. I usually watch the episode about 3 times and read all your reviews.
My husband and my 30 year old son watch the show with me, it’s our bonding time.
I’ve realized that I share what all of you feel with regards to BCWMH. It is very realistic that I can relate to bits and pieces of every episode. I can see
my past and my present, I can’t even enumerate them. This show is making me a better person; happier, more positive, more thoughtful, more unselfish.
When I feel a bit depressed from work and life in general, I watch my favorite episodes and I feel the heaviness in my heart lifted.
I’m sorry I didn’t write a review of this episode. All of you expressed your reviews succinctly.
Anyway, since this is the first time I’m posting, I just want to say that BCWMH is so over the top, from the directors, writers, actors/actresses. The casts
are so tailored made for their roles. But without Jodi and Richard as Maya and Ser Chief BCWMH will not be as effective and successful. To the writers
please continue on writing a wholesome story full of positive vibes , moral lessons, family oriented, enhances Filipino tradition and culture and unconditional love.
SC: But you’re not happy. You said ayaw mo na maburden ako dun sa details and concern regarding our relationship, but I don’t want you to sacrifice how you feel so that you can accomodate me all the time. I have to do my part too. Now, can we set aside this issue and celebrate? I want you to be happy, I want us to be happy.

Anthony: Hi po mam, parang nakita ko na po kayo dati?
SC: Yes Anthony nakapunta na siya sa site.
Richard meeting Maya can be fate and because of Abby, a beautiful partnership begun and then came the unexpected friendship, but falling in love was beyond their control. Richard is the big boss and very well respected. Lim Aviation started as a small company, but now he’s in the top 10 most successful businessman in the country. Richard is assertive, fierce, but fair leader. Behind his tough exterior, he has a kind heart and lovable father. Maya, is just an opposite. With her fragile exterior, no one better under estimate this woman. She’s strong and she doesn’t let anything get in her way in reaching for her dreams. She is definitely someone who dances in the rain instead of waiting for it to stop. Her charm is contagious. She might be small, but she never runs out of love to give to people around her. She’s so powerful, that she’s Richard’s kryptonite. As individual they are amazing, but together they just make each other better. Believe it Maya, believe that you are in a relationship and a beautiful one. You are no longer as an “I”, you now an “US”.
The exchange of email was a nice touch. It’s modern day love letter. Richard telling Maya that doing things for each other without expecting anything in return is how a relationship should be is just the tip of the iceberg. These two are much deeper than that…they are the definition of a true partnership. Richard and Maya can laugh, cry and be vulnerable with each other and yet there is no judgment. All shields are down to show their true colors and they are comfortable with it. A partner is someone that sees your unpretty side and imperfections but at the same time can still see the real “you”. She corrects him when he’s wrong. He shows her the right moves, so that she never falls. Each other’s smiles comfort their souls. Richard and Maya do things for each other not because they have to nor it’s an obligation, it’s because they want to and they know it will make the other person happy. They both didn’t plan to fall in love. They weren’t even in each other’s agenda. But somehow they became the best thing they never knew they needed. It’s almost like a beautiful accidental happy ever after…

Welcome Back Ser Chief!
In light of the developing dynamics between the characters in this drama, the first person singular pronoun “I” has been officially retired and replaced by the first person plural pronoun “We”. My English teacher would be so proud to know that I have retained such an important lesson for such a time as this! Ha ha ha. Trivial it may be, but I believe it IS the message for today’s episode. This seemingly unobtrusive word actually carries a lot of clout and a lot of punch in its delivery. It is what creates the kilig factor in today’s installment. The subtle change of its form from singular to plural is the most common denominator that we hear in today’s dialogue. That is a nod to my Math teacher. LOL. This pronoun provides the essence to this entire episode. It is the underlying thread throughout. This pronoun pops up on most of the important scenes in this episode. Let me illustrate my point.
In the scene between Sir Chief and Maya, while they were discussing how they should show their support to Kute, he emphasizes that “we” support Kute. The “we” means ” Sir Chief + Maya”. Maya confirms that was what he said. Touched, Maya, later on that night, emails him, to tell him how grateful she is that her support network, which originally only consisted of blood relatives, will now have an additional one, in him, even though, he is not even related to her (yet!) Because of the change in their status, there is now an inevitable change in their perspective. The “I”s have to make way for the “we”s. In so doing, the two will become one, not just in their status, but also in their mindset and in their hearts. There is no longer any exclusivity between them; there is only inclusivity. That is simply because “we” is not spelled with” you and I” anymore. This subtle change in how they look at each other means that they will face the world united and they will, heretofore, do things together, “kapit bisig.”
The “we” is also highlighted in the way Kute and Jeff share in the care of their son, Cho. Even though the two are not bound by any matrimonial ties nor with any type of formal or conventional love ties, they had, long ago accepted that as far as Cho is concern, the “we” is responsible for his upbringing. In their parenting, there is no separation between you and me. There is only the “we”. Hence, in coming up with Cho’s educational fund, Jeff and Kute will join forces together, and will never resort to doing it individually and definitely, not separately. Kapit bisig, they will come up with the solution, kapit bisig they will succeed!
In Sir Chief’s mind, and in the minds of the Lim children, the definition and the essence of family has also been redefined. In their minds, and maybe even their hearts, family now clearly includes Maya. Thus, the concept of “we” has for them come to mean “Lim family = Dad + Luke + Nikki + Abby + Maya! This realization is like a virtual embrace to Maya’s heart and soul.
In short, when Sir Chief uses “we”, he declares that he is ready to commit to a future with Maya! KILIG! When Jeff uses the same word, he reassures Kute that he will remain an active and contributing parent to Cho’s growth and education. KILIG! When Luke uses it, he announces to Maya that she is invited into and she now belongs to their exclusive family circle! KILIG!
Isn’t it amazing what a mere two-letter word can do!

– “That’s how relationships are Maya. It’s give and take. Or, maybe it’s not giving or taking… It’s just helping each other out without really asking for anything in return.” (Sir Chief)
Such beautiful words are music to our ears that resonate to our hearts. We all want to feel this way. We think about it, dream about it, yearn for it, go to great lengths to achieve it, and feel that our lives are incomplete without it. It’s a profound and lasting sense of inner peace and happiness that deeply satisfies and enriches our soul. It doesn’t fade when circumstances are tough. It endures and grows even in life’s crossroads, adversities and struggles. True happiness is our reason to live, and it can only be attained as we find unconditional love and share it with others. With it, nothing else matters; without it, nothing else is enough.
First, we see two hearts (Maya and Sir Chief) meeting, growing to becoming one – harmonious, accepting, and more open, loving each other unconditionally. Two become one… The conversation at the condo, the emails they exchanged encapsulated their being one team, one heart. But what really moved me, was the teaser – the beach scene when Maya consumed by her guilt for hiding the truth about the relationship from the kids whom she’d grown to love so deeply, was comforted and reassured by Sir Chief and the promise to deal with the situation together. Not her’s alone to confront but theirs… together, giving deeper meaning to the emerging “we”. Sir Chief’s reassuring and loving touch of Maya’s hands captured the whole essence of what their love is all about…
Second, we have Kute. Her unconditional love for Cho and every mother’s dream of giving the best for her child by providing the best opportunities for a better future is priceless. Her willingness to sacrifice and be away from Cho for the second time, is so heartwarming. But Jeff’s unconditional support to take a back seat and allowing Kute to call the shots when he could be the one to provide for them is admirable. One scene that caught me worth mentioning was when Jeff stopped Kute when she tried calling Maya for that sisterly advise on how to go about the situation that she, Jeff and Cho were in. It says a lot of Jeff’s character when he wanted all three of them to confront the issue themselves, confront it together as a family, thereby owning it as theirs alone, reassuring Kute that they can handle it as a family, unconventional it may seem, a family nonetheless.
Lastly, Maya’s unwavering support for her family never ceases to amaze me. Her genuine love and concern for her family and her dream of giving them a better life is what drives her to strive even harder. A role model worth emulating indeed.
Doris and Sabel’s comedic scenes are as funny and hilarious as always that I couldn’t contain myself laughing out loud to the surprise of my hubby which got him curious and took a sneak peak at my laptop. Day after day, he’s becoming more and more concern of me watching BCWMH hahaha
As for the ” kilig” moments, I leave that to all the other Minks and Monks out there… I will just scream silently in my head as I face today’s affairs. Mahirap magconcentrate, in fairness…
SC: She’s already my girlfriend.
Luke: Ang daya naman ni Dad, di man lang nagpatulong sa akin or humingi ng advice kung papano manligaw.
Abby: (Hug his dad) Daddy is she mabait?
SC: Yes, baby.
Abby: Daddy, you think she like me?
SC: Of course, baby.
The most unique family unit of Christina Rose, Jeff and Cho face some serious issues regarding their future. Christina Rose tells Jeff that she wants to pursue becoming a Seaman again. Jeff tells her that if her intent is to go for her dreams, he will wholeheartedly support her. However, if she felt it is necessary for her to do this only for the sake of saving up for Cho’s future, Jeff says he’d rather go back overseas to work for them. Jeff knows that it is hard for Christina Rose to leave Cho behind but she insisted that she is going to make it this time. She even said that this will be the perfect opportunity for him to be able to spend a lot of time with Cho…sort of a payment for her keeping him from their son for a long time. In the end, Jeff gives in and supports Christina Rose. They vow not only to support one another but to be hand in hand in telling Cho of this major decision that they made for their future. At the point that Christina Rose felt she needed to consult with Maya, Jeff stops her and tells her: “Don’t. The three of us must make this decision. We can do this.”
As I think of how hard it is to raise a child in this day and age, I think of a great lesson we learn from this unique and unconventional family in our story. They teach us proper parenting and decision-making. Even though Kute’s appearance and persona does not fit the standard mold, her character certainly touches so many feelings of a true person in the same position. Jeff’s character could only live by the joy of being with his son and the woman who bore him into this world taking her for what and who she is as a whole…no more, no less. So for me these supporting cast and their supporting story line take a starring role in my heart.

Back at the condo, Richard explains to Maya that there is nothing wrong with Christina Rose’s decision and that it is understandable that she wants to be the one to support the future of her own child. Maya says she is just sad that in doing so, they will have to be apart. Richard consoles her and says that it is only at the beginning that it will be difficult but in the end Christina Rose will be fulfilled that she did it. Richard said that she might be able to understand that decision when she has a child of her own. In the meantime, “WE will have to support her”. This makes Maya react…the word “WE”. Then Richard tells her about the beach outing and that they should celebrate her birthday at the resort. Maya said no because that is a family outing. Richard says: “It is OUR family. That is why you need to be there too.” There it is again, that word.
Maya couldn’t sleep replaying their conversation on her mind over and over again (just like I do with the episodes and teasers ha ha). She decides to get up and write a message to Richard. In Maya’s message, she tells Richard that she is still not used to hearing him refer to them as “We”, “Us” or “Tayo”….Nakakakilig she says. But no matter, she never really feels alone because of Nanay T, Kute, Mamang and Cho. However, it is good to have a “katuang sa buhay” (a soul mate) who, although not blood related, could still care for you so much. The next morning Richard replies to Maya: That’s how relationships are…its helping each other out without expecting anything in return.
Luke: Baby, siyempre hindi naman pipili si Dad ng hindi mabait, di ba Dad?
Abby: I think I like her already.
SC: Niks is everything ok?
Nikki: Ah yeah, totally Dad I mean we all know you’re dating naman, right? So it’s fine. Who is she?
SC: I’ll take her to meet you soon.
Nikki: but how soon is soon, Dad? I mean we all trust your taste naman pero we won’t let just any girl take our Dad that easily, di ba guys?
SC: She won’t do that.
As for the scenes with SC and Maya, I guess were really back on the “Kilig” track. I’m still amazed that Maya still hasn’t gotten used to the tern that her and SC are already a couple. It amazing how her characteristics are just too pure to watch, I cant stop smiling whenever I am watching a scene with just the two of them. Theres not really anything to that scenes because the scenes are very easy to acknowledge. I just love the fact that when they were talking about the outing Maya mentioned something about its your family. Where SC just immediately pick and said “Precisely, It’s our family!” the look on Maya’s face was priceless and very true. I might say that Jodi is a very wonderful actress her acting on this series is very natural, to the fact that you wont even think that she’s acting.
Like I said before I really don’t have anything else to say to this, due to the fact that this episode was very perfect enough and easy to understand and love. All I want to say now is that I can’t wait for next week episodes, I just hope that everything goes well with the kids and Maya. It’s really hard to predict what might happen next to this show, since this show has not villains, no cliche climax, and no deaths involve. Just a feel good Romantic Comedy series, that will make anyone become addicted to this show right from the start. I just want to thank the writers for their awesome and amazing job on this series, you make a lot of filipinos from the Philippines and here in the states and I’m sure all around the world very happy. GOOD JOB :D.

I have to admit. I was really distracted by Richard’s (Richard Yap) outfit. The intent is not to put down the show, but only to give constructive criticism. So here it goes. The loose white undershirt with the oversized black cargo pants, that were obviously too big and too long on him, were just a bad combination, especially at the beach. For a moment there, I thought he was wearing black sweat pants. I literally said out lout, “oh no he didn’t!” Granted, that they’ve already shot these scenes, but it’s worth taking a second look, particularly by the show’s stylist. I just feel like these kind of things take away from the true character of Richard Lim. Sad to say, but these scenes, even Joma, Doris and Sabel looked more stylish. I would’ve stuck with the “boy band” or his go to collared shirt and jeans versus the oversized undershirt and black pants. Bottom line, I miss the “sharp”, well dressed, polished CEO. With that being said, below is my take on the episode.
Nikki might be going through a slight separation issue. This is almost like a déjà vu. When Alex passed, the kids somehow lost their dad too. Richard had put a barrier between him and his children. With the help of Maya, she slowly bridged the gaps between the children and their father. As a middle child, Nikki used to struggle even for slight attention from Richard. Seeing her before crying herself to sleep while looking at her family’s picture wishing that things would go back to the way it used to was just heart breaking. Now that the family had moved on, Richard was able to rebuild his relationship with each of the children. But now with Richard and Maya’s secret, there are things or habits that are triggers to Nikki. She somehow feels like she’s losing her dad all over again. Nikki used to dislike Richard being on the phone all the time during their family time, which they do not get often. The idea of losing her dad to a complete stranger is obviously setting Nikki back.
Although, the intentions were good, Maya and Richard’s plan to hold off on telling the kids are not working out too well. Just like Richard, Maya is starting to feel the guilt. The children deserves more than to be lied to. The idea of trying to protect them might cause them more harm. It’s not only the children that are having a tough time, Richard and Maya as well. This is supposed to be Maya’s birthday weekend but the couple are walking eggshells. They are obviously holding back instead of taking this time to celebrate and just be together. Richard and Maya need to face the music together. Sure, there’s always a chance that the children may react differently, but that’s a bridge this couple need to cross together. The kids are already open to Richard dating, and eventually they will understand that he will have a relationship with someone. So, it’s not like the kids were never open to that idea. I’m going to say again….Trust the Lim children.

It’s Monday and I’m starting to get how the writers play with our hearts & blood pressure…
Easing us into the week slowly with feel-good scenes and then making the crescendo about midweek to get us hanging on a cliff into Thu-Fri ha ha ha…
Two thoughts came to mind as I watched the episode today:
– 3 Ss for fun (Sea, Sun, Sand), and
– 3 Ss for our 2 main lady characters (Strong Sisterhood Sharing)

Made me miss my beloved Philippines more but also made us think of summer activities to plan over here.

Strong Sisterhood Sharing
Maya and Kute are sisters in more ways than one.
They not only have this special bond as sisters and best friends but I’ve noticed that as the story progressed that even as they are living apart and living very different lives, there are some similarities to what they go through day after day…
What poets, artists and authors refer to as living different and yet parallel universes…
Case in point is the accidental ‘ILY over phone’ with Maya which happened at the same time Kute followed Jeff to his ‘date’.
I could think of a few more but sorry, I don’t have the time to write about them just now he he he…
But I’ve really noticed it as we go episode to episode how the writers have shown the parallel universes of the sisters.
So now today they are both going through this apprehension of how will the important people in their lives, the ones most affected by a decision they made, will accept and react to these decisions?
Kute with Cho. Maya with the Lim kids…
I can relate to what they are feeling because I have kids myself, and that’s why I’ve had this ‘kaba’ for them all weekend, and all throughout the episode…
And now it looks like it will have to continue until we find out what the writers have decided as the results.
I’m eagerly anticipating the result… so till tonight or maybe tomorrow…
Of course, I can’t leave this episode without saying…

While the characters need some chill out activities to recharge themselves from everyday stresses of city living, what better way to unwind and enjoy a beach outing, a very Pinoy way of spending summertime and cooling down with the summer heat; so do the viewers, needing some down time from the roller coaster ride of emotions presented on a weekly basis. A small respite before the next upward ride starts again.

Pointers 2: Oplan: Refresh Maya with personality development: According to Ina “Confidence” , maybe I have watched it too many times since this afternoon, is it me or Maya ( not Jodi in real-life, she is gorgeous) walks like she got a big beach ball between her legs, parang bow legs, then her slippers make such a noise, maybe its my headphone (Bose), picks everything in the back ground. Hay naku kasi naman masyado siyang scared and agitated sa forthcoming event which she knows is coming whether she likes it or not to face the beautiful Lim’s children, that she is Daddy pogi’s girl. Don’t be scared Maya andito naman kami kapag ikaw ay nahulog sa bangin, hehehe.But honestly do something with that posture looks so defeatist. Stand tall you’re an FA.
Pointer3: Manang Fe, grabe naman ang pagkakabalot mo para kang Suman sa Latik , pero in fairness ang taray ng Shades mo ha , parang Armani, may admirer pa, at dalang Pilipina talaga ang dating ( suplada, hard to get hehehe). Go Manang!

Di kaya prior sa na-konsensya statement ni Maya eh nagkaroon muna ng girltalk/bonding between Maya and Nikki? Kaya ganun na lang ang worry ni Maya at nakunsensya.
Or pwede ring ang next scene ay biglang darating din si Luke then hihilahin si Nikki palayo at sabihing wag istorbohin ang Dad nila….nakatalikod naman ang girl so hindi pa siguro nia malaman na si Maya yun?
Or tuluyan na ngang magkaka bukingan sa dahilang tuwing unang araw ng buwan kadalasan may pasabog ang BCWMH! eh since Saturday ang June 1 (which happens to be my bday; shameless plug) tiyak sa Monday ang malaking pasabog! Hula hula lang pag may time.

As to those who complain that there is no sweetness between Ser Chief and Maya, it is very difficult to be sweet and romantic when you are weighed down with guilt and undue stress because you are concealing the truth from those you care and love. Ser Chief and Maya are very honest people and it’s hard for them to lie. Ser Chief has always been very reserved of his emotions and it takes Maya to push him to display his feelings. That is why their relationship will really work because they bring out the good in them. They communicate and compromise and meet in the middle. They don’t have reservations and not afraid to tell each other what they feel. They trust and respect each other. And these are all keys to a successful relationship.
I sympathize with Kute because it must be really hard for him to leave Cho again. I wonder how the writers will spin the story with Jeff leaving instead of Kute.
As to the kilig moments, Manang Fe has the right reaction. We have to remember that Manang Fe is a, “Dalagang Pilipina”, to the core.
Doris and Sabel are the life of the show. They are very talented comedians and doesn’t fail to make me laugh.
This episode makes me feel nostalgic for the Philippines. I’ve been to Subic several years ago. I took my sisters and nieces and all we did is shop at the duty free , take pictures and eat at Gerry’s Grill. It’s making us go home and include Subic to our itinerary and do what Maya and Ser Chief’s family did. It will be fun to visit our own Sea World.
Kung matatapos na nga itong BCWMH in June or July malamang bukingan na talaga next week. Aba ng makapag prepare na sila sa wedding no!

Parental love:
– Nanay Teresita is so attuned to Kute’s feelings that she immediately sensed her silence and the pained look etched on her face signal something was worrying her daughter.
– Kute and Jeff share a common bond to put their child’s welfare a priority, keeping the communication between them and Cho open. They gave Cho time and space to mull over the possibility of separation from his mother and were willing to compromise on giving up their dream should Cho decide against Kute leaving again.
– Mamang’s relationship with Nanay Teresita is rare and enviable. Their closeness and walang iwanan attitude will be Kute’s emotional cushion in her time of need.
– Ser Chief’s acquiescence to Nikki’s request to wear something more appropriate for the beach by wearing a Hawaiian shirt even though doing a “Luke-a-like” was out of his comfort zone.
Familial love:
– Maya shares her happiness with her family upon receiving her first paycheck and continue to provide financial and emotional support
– While enjoying the beach, Isabel and Doris have their families on their minds. Like most Filipinos who work so hard and enduring the separation to give their families and their extended families a comfortable life, these two houseketeers show they are no different.
Maya and Kute have parallel problems dealing with honesty to the people they love. Maya is very much conflicted with keeping her relationship with Ser Chief a secret, not wanting to constantly avoid the question and have to lie to Nikki. She sees how Nikki reacts seeing her Dad on the cellphone suspecting that his new girlfriend is on the other end and how greatly bothered Nikki feels not knowing who she is. Maya is afraid of the children’s reaction if they were to know tha she IS the object of Richard’s affection: acceptance or possible rejection.
My favorite lighthearted moment was the offer of drink to Manang Fe from a “not so secret” admirer. Love has no age limit …….. but not for Manang Fe.
Maya and Richard are now feeling more comfortable with each other as they exchange good-natured banters. Even without the very obvious PDAs, they manage to exchange loving looks. Maya glancing back smiling sweetly on her way out of the room with Abby and the sweetest of all, SC’s loving looks following Maya as she walks back to the room to change.

The teaser shows Nikki seeing her Dad from a distance talking with a girl. Could it be that when she sees that it is Maya she would not think of suspecting that Maya is indeed the new GF? The heart to heart talk will happen when Luke, Nikki and Abby are all present so until then we have to sit tight (note to self) and wait.
I am looking forward to read all the reviews and comments from all my cFAs (co fan-addicts). I had a very restful weekend and a good night’s sleep that I promise myself no nega-tones can erase my smiley face. The other fans are, after all, entitled to MY opinions. I shall now enjoy the forum ready to dole out my stars and two ginger snaps.

Deception is not a part of the fiber of Maya and Kute’s being. It never was and it never will be. Their mother raised them well. Hence, the guilt they now feel, caused by keeping secrets from the very people they love the most, is quite burdensome. They have been raised to be honest and to be truthful. Their conscience is screaming at them to make matters right. Otherwise, they know that their credibility will erode; their integrity will be questioned.
Foremost in the sisters’ minds is securing the approval of those they love the most. Both Maya and Kute are unable to have peace in their hearts and minds until they have obtained the children’s blessings. Both want to break the news to the children gently. However, they are anxious that the kids may react adversely to what they are going to find out. Both long badly to be understood. In other words, they are afraid to take the risk to be transparent because they do not want to face the possibility of rejection.
Kute, with Jeff providing moral support, seeks Cho’s approval of her plan to go back to her old job as a seaman. She vacillated a lot before she arrived at her decision. She knows that as a seaman she can earn more than what she makes running their current family business. However, doing so means she will see less of Cho. She does not relish the thought that she will have to leave her son again. On the other hand, she is willing to make such a sacrifice so that she can secure a brighter future for him. Presently, she is afraid of how Cho might react to this news. She fears that he might not understand her. Most of all, she is afraid that he will not only refuse to let her go; he might completely reject her.
Although the Lim family includes her in a relaxing mini-vacation to a beautiful beach resort, Maya is unable to relax and enjoy herself. She is plagued with ambivalence in dealing with her situation. On one hand, she is excited to be with the children whom she has learned to love. Moreover, she looks forward to Sir Chief’s company for the whole weekend. On the other hand, doing so also means that she needs to keep her emotions in check. Since she is not quite ready to reveal to the children that she is their Dad’s girlfriend, even though this fact excites her to no end, she feels scared. She is anxious that the children discover their secret prematurely. She fears that they will not understand their decision to keep the information from them, or worse, that they will not approve of her as their Dad’s choice, of her, for a girlfriend. She is confused and frustrated. One minute, she is unable to resist showing her love to Sir Chief. The next, she reigns in her emotions lest the children might see her doing so. If she is not careful, voila! Pandora’s box might have to be opened beforehand.
Kute and Maya are both afraid of rejection. They want the reassurance of a positive outcome. But in this situation, they are not in control; the children are. The questions are: Are they willing to take the risk and face the consequences? What if they cannot secure the children’s approval? Will they be able to live without it? Admirably, two men stand by Maya and Kute to provide them moral support. Jeff and Sir Chief give their women, respectively, the strength they need until they can muster up the energy to face the children. These men patiently allow them to arrive at their decision, without being forced, without being rushed. Their respect and love for their women is so great that are willing to patiently let them be. They know that the sisters’ principles will eventually dictate to them the right time to act. For now, they will just love them and stand quietly, by them.

I have a feeling na kung kelan na ready si Maya umamin sa relationship nila ni Sir Chief, mauunahan sila ni Nikki (based from the teaser) na mabuko which would make her upset. But hopefully saglit lang ang tampo nya lalo na kapag narinig na nya ang explanation ni Daddy bango at ni Maya.
Nakita nya magkausap ang Daddy nya at si Maya sa beach. From her POV, si Maya nakatalikod at si daddy nya ang nakaharap sa kanya.

I second the motion of Maria that SC is not sweet to Maya,their relation is just a little over for a week but I can say that there’s no spark of affection on SC side .there must be something that

Nag worry lang ako sa reaction ni Nikki nung sinabi ni Luke yun.
Pero sana nga may twist na Nikki secretly wishing si Maya yung GF.

I think Nikki really likes Maya but we really don’t know if she’ll feel the same way when she finds out that she is SC’s girlfriend…..different relationship kasi. It will be ok in the end but I would love to see some conflict to spice it up a bit.
There will be a conflict otherwise it won’t be realistic.
She will see Maya as her competition for her father’s love and attention.
Anong sinabi niya na: ‘I won’t let her take away our daddy from us’.(non-verbatim) means she sees her as a threat. Si Maya man siya o hindi.

Haha. Nakskatuwa naman ano, adik sa details. I was watching the rewinds with subtitles & SC dressed more like a CEO then wearing suits. Now he’s wearing jeans with dress shirts, trying to look younger I guess with a girlfriend 20 years his senior in the story. Maya has some really weird fashion choices although she has more blouses now to choose from.
Oh those shorts though are really baaad .
Anyway, as the story develops, still hoping the wardrobe choices will develop as well, level up sana.
Ditch the handbag as everyone suggests.
