I’ve watched this episode so many times I still laugh and touched with Ser Chief and Abby’s conversation, with Doris and Sabel in the sidelines. The conversation between Ser Chief and Abby is so poignant. It shows how Abby is so smart and matured for her age, and Ser Chief answering her questions honestly shows how he accepts Abby’s intelligence. This intelligent communication between a father and a young daughter is a scene that we wish happening in a parent and child relationship.
There are lots of moral lessons imparted in this episode. It is very fulfilling to watch a show wherein you are so entertained and at the same time enriching your character.
Director gives details about upcoming MMFF movie
For this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, the movie version of Be Careful With My Heart will be one of the competing entries.
Director Jeffrey Jeturian revealed details about the said MMFF entry in a Journal article published by movie scribe Mario Bautista on June 28.
“We’ll end Book One with the wedding of Maya and Sir Chief. Then we’ll start Book Two with their life as husband and wife. At tatakbo ‘yung hanggang just before the movie opens in theatres on Christmas Day.
“The movie version is not a recap of what happened on TV. Alam na ng mga tao yun, e. What we’ll show is what happens to Jodi Sta. Maria, Richard Yap, and the rest of the characters after the story on TV has ended. Bale continuation ‘yun ng TV show,” Direk Jeffrey was quoted as saying in the article.

MANILA — Frenzied followers of “Be Careful With My Heart” dominated Twitter conversations nationwide on Friday, when the highly anticipated “first real kiss” of Sir Chief (Richard Yap) and Maya (Jodi Sta. Maria) finally aired to mark the latest milestone in the series’ nearly year-long run.
In the episode of the ABS-CBN daytime series aired on June 28, the widowed businessman and his former nanny are seen finally reunited in a date after deciding to keep apart because of his children’s disapproval of the relationship.
With Richard’s second child, Nikki (Janella Salvador), finally reconsidering the situation, Maya is overjoyed to join the single dad he endearingly calls “Sir Chief” and his family in a trip to the mall.
Granted “permission” by his children to go on a date before heading home, Sir Chief and Maya opt to have a simple dinner by his car where they proceed to slow-dance after a teasing conversation about who can dance better.
Before parting ways as he drops Maya home, Sir Chief leans in for a kiss on the lips, leaving the nanny-turned-flight attendant stunned.
In the latter parts of Friday’s episode, Maya is then seen changing her relationship status in her Facebook profile to “In a Relationship,” to enthused reactions from televiewers online.

Be careful what you wish for, Maya. She used to tease Richard often of being too serious and not having sense of humor. Maya can’t say, he didn’t warn her. He did say, he was worse than Luke. For the first time in a long time, Richard’s stress level is not through the roof. The children are fine. Luke is busy with college. Nikki realized her mistake and learned that her dad doesn’t have to be alone anymore. Unexpectedly, she also found a best friend in Maya. Someone that she can confide and connect with, which is a very important while Nikki goes through teenage years. If Richard got Luke covered, then Maya definitely got the two girls. With no issues, nor fire to put out at work, Clark Hangar is ready for launch, finally, “hakuna matata”, no worries. Family, love and career…all is well for Richard. Now, time to kick off his shoes, relax and make fun of his girlfriend. I mean, have fun with his girlfriend. Maya does bring out the kid in Richard. She reminds him that there’s nothing wrong with showing the silly side sometimes. That’s the beauty of Maya and Richard’s relationship. It’s base on friendship and both of them really took the time to get to know each other. Therefore, they don’t waste time trying to impress one another. Maya is someone Richard can have an intellectual conversation with. Someone he can have a venting session with. And most importantly, someone he can be goofy with. Although, Maya may not like it, she is getting a taste of her own medicine. Richard got her good!
Thank goodness for Emman for making Maya realize that the hangar launch is a big deal. As much as Maya wants to downplay it, this is a big event. Richard and her are just not going as guests. Richard is THE EVENT. People are not only going to focus on Richard, they will also be curious of who Maya Dela Rosa is. For sure, Emman wouldn’t let Maya go without the proper ammunition: lip gloss, eyelash curler, mascara, the perfect shoes and of course “the dress”.
On a serious note, not only this show tells about family, love, and teaches its audience life lessons, it also addresses important issues in the society. Now, the creators are tapping on one of the leading problems with kids and teenagers…bullying. It’s amazing this show is raising awareness on this topic. So many people had been or still victims of bullying. Keep in mind…It isn’t big to make others feel small.
SC AND MAYA CONVO:

Maya: Girl talk.
SC: Ah girl talk? Well, we’re going to have father and daugther talk later.

based on personal observations, these top men/honchos are easily enamored by those who can be themselves in their presence and not being afraid to speak their minds out. and maya is like that to SC.

Disappointed much sa ratings last Friday but trying to remain positive for the best teleserye in town!
I, too, agree with you that the Creative Team has brought to everyone’s awareness the problem of bullying i.e. cyber (as the one Nikki experienced
thru FB ) and the school yard type (like the one Cho is struggling with at school). They definitely make the show relevant in this way. They are brave to bring it up. I hope that in so doing everyone who watches that show can be involved in finding workable solutions to this problem that plagues our youth.
Mid 20’s is still high for its time slot problem is as the story progresses fatigue is setting in on the viewers taken the fact that yaya Maya character is more relatable to the masses than FA Maya.
As long as it maintain its fanbase who loves the GV of the show it should be ok.
Btw ratings is not the only criteria for consideration. You could also take note of the TFC/Iwantv is another factor. The show has already reached its peak. It will be a very tough challenge to reach.
Sir Chief and Maya’s road trip is so exciting with “asaran” and “pikunan”. In fairness, ang galing na ni Sir Chief mag keep ng remembrance. Is this in preparation for your upcoming “1st monthsary”? Anyway, I love Eman’s participation to help Maya prepare herself for the launch. You are such a good friend and you just want Maya to look beautiful on this very special occasion. Sa teaser pa lang we can see that Atty. Ryan and Sir Chief is amazed by the beauty of Maya.
It’s so sad to see Cho in that bullying situation. I wish that Kute will find out that something bad is happening to Cho in the school.
Don’t be sad Nicolo if you got busted by Aira kasi di naman kayo bagay. Just pray na lang if Nikki will forgive you after all what Aira did to her.

They should seriously consider ending the show on a high note and create a new show for the 2 lead with the same production and creative team.
It could also be because classes has started so those of school age could have missed watching the episode on the scheduled timeslot pero as you’ve said, puede pa rin na mapanood ito sa tfc/iwanttv or some other sites not necessarily operated by ABS-CBN. The fact that it trended on Twitter and it created a so-called frenzy as reported by several news agencies, I believe it still has a strong following.

oh, mi! oh, my! i sooo love this episode. it seems like this episode was meant/dedicated to me. i’ll be sincerely honest, my reason for watching this series is because of richard yap who reminds me of someone that i used to know and admired from a distance. seeing SC everytime on the big screen is like reliving the one great crush of my life many moons ago. 3 reasons why i say this epi is speaking to me personally:
1. SC was in a bright yellow shirt! i mentioned in a previous post that i like seeing SC in a yellow shirt cuz seeing him in this color, i could almost smell the fresh scent of cologne of my great crush. (check!)
2. while taking a stolen shot of maya napping with mouth slightly open, SC was smiling from ear to ear. oh how i love seeing SC in a happy mood. the way he smiles is truly wagas…just like that of my great crush. (check!)
3. the teaser showing SC in a plain white tee showing his macho-ness. i used to admire my great crush for his well-built torso, neck to waist. i always thought that i can be lost in his tight embrace…(of my great crush or SC? it doesn’t matter anymore). (check!)

Emman packed her bag and put the dress in along with a look guide on how to put on her make up and matching shoes.
Kalokang aira/ayra (ano ba spelling ng nametag nya) hindi pa nga sila mag jowa ni Nicolo ganyan na, pano pa kung BF na nya si Nicolo. Naku, Nicolo hwag ng ituloy ang pgsinta na yan kay Aira, ibigay mo nlng lahat yan pagmamahal mo kay Nikki Grace Lim.
THE LAUNCH
Maya has successfully passed her most difficult challenge thus far in her relationship with Richard. That challenge is securing the blessings of his children. At some point there, when the stress level seems to be at its zenith, she almost caved in. But she did not. Otherwise, she would not be where she is now; the proudly confident and euphorically happy girlfriend of Lim Aviation Business’ Chief Executive Officer Richard Lim. Today, because of this relationship, she is going to enter his business world, as Richard launches his aviation business operation in Clark.
Maya knows that this event is a very important event for Richard. This venture can easily become the flagship of his business empire. Hence, although naïve in many ways, especially when it comes to love, she is instinctively sharp in other ways. For example, Maya knows that it is imperative for her to not only look her best at this launch; she has to be nothing short of impressive. Momentarily, she finds herself in a dilemma. On one hand, she wants to show her support to Richard; on the other, she wants to pinch her pennies. Frugal to the core, borne from being raised by a single parent with limited financial resources, she finds herself, early in life, forced to participate in helping to bring income into the family’s coffers and actively contribute to the family’s survival. She does not begrudge her past, at all. In fact, she embraces it because she attributes her success to the indomitable spirit that she has acquired from being raised in such circumstances. She would not be who she is now without the hardships and struggles that she has experienced as she was growing up. However, she also realizes that being Richard’s girlfriend comes with a set of expectations. In her training as a flight attendant, she has learned how to carry herself and how to apply make-up tastefully to enhance her features. Her kikay kit now includes a bottle of fragrance, among the basic must-haves. She is charming, she is intelligent, she is beautiful, she is confident and most of all, she is Richard’s.
Maya is ready to be introduced to the world. In her mind, this is not just a business launch, it is much more important than that. This is the launch of her love relationship with Richard to the world. She is ready, not just to make a first impression. She is prepared to make Richard immensely proud of her and gracefully leave an indelible mark on all of the events’ attendees’ minds. That Maya Dela Rosa has indeed arrived!

I do think that it’s Emman who plotted this scheme on Maya’s purple dress.
Now about the “overnight thing” …I don’t think there will be one. But most likely, Ser Chief reserved hotel rooms for both of them where they could change outfits.
Not knowing about the purple dress will create a greater impact once Maya comes out of the room looking awesome in that dress. We have to remember, Ser Chief knows that Maya only has the little black dress which he gave her before.

On the Road Again
In today’s episode, Ehman insist Maya does not wear the same black dress she wore at the prom to the Hangar Launch. He said that this is a big time event and her boyfriend is the CEO, Maya needed to change her dress every time she swayed her hips. (ha ha spoken like a true Ehman…kaya naman lab na lab kita e…you are always thinking of what’s best for Maya) Maya agrees with Ehman but she feels that it’s a waste of money. She’d rather send that money to the folks back home. Ehman advised Maya that it isn’t bad for her to treat herself once in a while. He is sure that if she asked Kute, Nanay T or Mamang, they would agree that she needs to look after herself. Maya says she doesn’t have time. She has a flight later. Ehman said they will run to the mall for quick shopping when she comes home from her flight. In her room Maya is about to rest but she is still thinking of the expense of buying her a dress. Ehman left her a note telling her that if she went over budget tomorrow, she can use his credit card and she can pay him back on her next payday. Maya tells herself not to go over budget. (Maya is sensitive to the value of her hard earned money and her promise to help support the folks back home to the expense of her needs. It is a noble trait that we should all pattern ourselves after.)
At the mansion, Richard says goodbye to the kids. Abby tells him to please take care of her Ate Maya. Richard promises to. Nikki gave him a big long hug. When she walked away Luke asked Nikki if she is ok? Nikki said she is fine. And just like that they left for school.
At the condo, Ehman tells Maya he is going to miss her. Maya said she would only be gone for the day. She also thanked her good friend for going with her to the mall to buy her clothes and tells him to tell her when he needs the payment back for the credit card. Ehman says not to worry but just make sure she takes lots of pictures specially of the dress. Maya agreed. Ehman also burned some cds for the ride to Clark. He is truly a thoughtful friend. Richard picks up Maya and was greeted at the door by the two (beso beso ulit kay Maya). They said goodbye to Ehman and left.
Sabel, Doris and Joma were betting how much time Maya slept over her excitement for her trip out of town with Richard. Manang Fe enters the room and tells them she is sure she didn’t sleep a wink ha ha…Meanwhile, Maya and Richard are on their way. In the car, Maya puts on the cd that Ehman made for them. They were both surprised at the first peppy song that came on. It was obvious to Maya Richard didn’t like that kind of music so she changed it. (Aba yong second song e si Luke yon ah at si Abby doon sa farewell party ni Maya sa mansion…hanep rerun lang ang peg ng music…)

I’m pretty sure Maya will turn heads during the launch. I won’t be surprised if they will show a scene where some guy will try to flirt with her. Of course, Daddy Bango will do his part and shoo away the vultures.
Just got to see the teaser. Can I just say that Ser Chief looked like a school boy when he showed Maya the stolen pic.
And I quote Richard Yap’s daughter Ashley’s tweet yesterday…“Dad’s such a cutie.”
Re today’s episode: I have severe issues with Catherine. Of all the heights of unprofessionalism, gossiping about the boss’ new girlfriend has got to take the cake. And she’s not, strictly speaking, his employee (not that anyone else has the right to discuss it, either). Plus, she did it when she discovered that SC was taking Maya to Clark…so G R R R R R!
So when our happy couple arrives at Clark, I want to see Maya show up in that little purple number and knock everyone’s eyes out. I want her to beat Catherine’s cattiness with her special brand of sweetness and good vibes. I want to see all the engineers come running to rescue her when SC is busy with other big-shots. I want…oh, I want to see Maya win, and win big.
Actually, I would love to have a moment after the launch proper is over, and everyone is relaxing over drinks and dinner, where Engineer Yamaguchi and Sonny engineer it so that something drops on Catherine’s shoe. (Not her head, this is a feel-good series, no life-threatening incidents allowed.) Or spoils her dress. Yes, I am a cat with the best of them, and I would LOVE something like that. Because I am sure that as event coordinator, Catherine has been underfoot at the Clark hangar, bossing the engineers as if they were the hired help. I’ve seen it happen in real life, with interesting results. *grin*
Hee…I’m quite sure SC has made sure that the Mahal na Princesa will be safe and secure. But the sweet thing about this scenario is that it will show just how well Maya can stand on her own, as a woman who has achieved her dreams and who knows she is loved by the man she loves. It’s a powerful combination, it is.

Wow! I would gleefully want to see all these happen to “whatever her name is” (parang Voldemort lang ang peg). I want her to be taught a lesson coz she’s the epitome of the other woman. I would also like to see Maya shine to the point that whatever her name is would pale in comparison. I hope Maya would turn out to be an elegant woman during this event that would make SC be more proud of her. Today’s episode marks the #SerChiefAndMayaFirstOutOfTownTrip ang daming aabangan na scenes for this launching of the new HANGAR! Im sure that this is going to be the best anniversary special ever! I guess I was right diba? Eman is the tool for the little purple dress to come out…at ang wardrobe ni Maya level up na! Plus the new black bag that is not always on her shoulder anymore and most of all the PG PDA na requested by ng mga FA! They have heard our complaints and they are really trying their best to give us what we want…so kahit na I was expecting that he would steal a kiss from Maya when he reclined the passenger’s seat so that she could take a nap, I won’t complain na! happy na ako sa pagiging consistent ng kiss sa cheeks.

About the epi today… the old bcwmh is back and I am so loving it. Shows how comfortable these two are with each other. Parang natural yun bantering nila. It makes me think na yun parang “gap” or “aloofness” nila during the past episodes eh tactic ng writers para mas ramdam yun kilig now. Sustain this lang and this show will go a long long way.
Grabe yun lapit ni SC when he reclined Maya’s seat. Kakakilig na dun pa lang. Even yun mga expression ng mata nila, mga ngiti. The chemistry is oozing between the two leads talaga.

About Cho, its good to tackle “bullying” in this show. I’m sure the writers will exceed our expectations in handling it, just like Abby’s innocent questions to her daddy. These scenes and of course the two lead’s kilig-inducing moments make this show. “Still the best teleserye”

About the epi today… the old bcwmh is back and I am so loving it. Shows how comfortable these two are with each other. Parang natural yun bantering nila. It makes me think na yun parang “gap” or “aloofness” nila during the past episodes eh tactic ng writers para mas ramdam yun kilig now. Sustain this lang and this show will go a long long way.

– Tagos sa akin yung pangaral ni Maya kay Nikki yesterday about friends and their significant others.
I never liked my best friend’s boyfriend though I’ve known him since we were in high school. Tinotolerate ko lang din siya for my bestie.
Well, hindi lang naman ako. The whole barkada doesn’t receive him well.
And I kinda feel guilty about the things I say to my bestfriend to convince her to break up with him. They’ve been together, on and off, for 3 years now.
And wala nga naman akong kinalaman sa relasyon nila. Nagpapakatotoo nga ako pero nananakit naman ako ng kapwa.
Guilty.
This is one of the main reasons why I love this show so much. Hindi lang siya feel good. The lessons conveyed are true to life and the way they deliver doesn’t make you feel invaded but gives you a light bulb moment.

Maya is still “tampo” over Richard not wanting to delete her photo sleeping with her mouth open. Richard seems to be enjoying Maya’s reaction. They finally get to Clark. Richard stopped at a place to eat. Maya was pretend sleeping in the car. Richard carefully taps her to tell her they made it to Clark. Then Richard said, “I know you are not sleeping”. Maya answers “Yes I am sleeping”. So Richard said, “Please don’t be mad anymore.” “I am not mad” she answers. Ha ha So Richard said, “Let’s go. I am hungry.” He unbuckles himself and trying so hard not to laugh. Maya gets up and looks at him and says “Go ahead keep on laughing. You are making me mad.” Richard tried his best not to laugh but it was too hard not to. (Nakakaloko ngiti mo Ser Chief. Alaskador ka talaga)
Inside the restaurant, Maya is still not talking to Richard. Richard asked her what she wants to eat? “I’m not hungry” Maya said. “Drinks?” Richard asked. “I am not thirsty.” She answers. So Richard apologizes for laughing. Maya told Richard not to stop himself from laughing otherwise he will get a stomachache. Richard argued that he couldn’t help it. It was funny. (Ser Chief hindi ka makakakuha ng Pogi points kung ganyang ang sagot mo pero cute ka pa rin kaya sa akin porgiben ka na.) Maya told him to go ahead and laugh. Richard begged again for Maya not to be upset anymore. He asked her again what she wanted to eat. She said she wasn’t hungry so Richard proceeded to order food. Maya stood up and left to go outside. She calls up Ehman and tells him what happened and venting out her frustrations. Ehman responds “kaya naman tinitiis mo yong gutom mong tiyannene dahil sa tampororot mo.” (I dare yall to translate that in English and still get Ehman’s effect. Because muah? I went to bed thinking about how to say it in English but I give up…) “I’m hoping his conscience will speak to him.” Maya said. “You are overly sensitive. After all, he has already apologized. Stop being like that because Richard might just get tired of you and get upset with you. Didn’t you do the same thing to him before?” Ehman added. “But the picture I took, when you look at it, will make you smile. My photo, every time he looks at it, will make him laugh at it. It doesn’t feel good for your boyfriend to always be laughing at you. And then he apologizes without sweetness.” Maya replies. “So do you want him to apologize with a marching sweetheart’s carry?” Ehman said. (Anubayan Ehman hindi ko maintindihan yang sinasabi mo…ano ba ang marching sweetheart’s carry? Letong leto na ako – imagine @Tita R saying this with both hands on the side of her forehead ha ha) “That’s not fair, you are siding with Ser Chief. Never mind. I am not getting any sympathy from you. Maybe I will just call Kute.” Maya said. “Ehman said “Go ahead so she can rake you over the coals.” (ha ha he knows Maya and Kute all too well. May silbi rin pala pagiging roomie ni Ehman.) Maya gives up and tells Ehman she is going to make up with Ser Chief.

But there’s also Kute and her very temporary recovery, the headrests na lulubog-lilitaw, yung isa, ay! dalawa, ay! isa palang hand texting,…. naku, “too many to mention” all. Kasi, BCWMH IS NOT PERFECT! BUT HERE’S THE THING… THE SHOW IS SUCH THAT WE IGNORE AND/OR FORGIVE THE IMPERFECTIONS. After all, this was meant to be “just a simple albeit rushed project” that unexpectedly went through the roof; a 13-week venture that had to be extended (thank goodness, or I would have missed it altogether), due to the clamor for more. The scene in this episode when Maya arrives at the hangar to attend the launch is reminiscent of the Brothers Grimm’s fairy tale about a young maiden named Cinderella who attends the ball unescorted, as well. Maya’s and Cinderella’s circumstances are not quite similar but in some aspects are parallel with each other. Both come from humble backgrounds. Both struggled through life. Both are assisted by a fairy godmother who helps secure the proper attire to wear to the occasion. Otherwise, they would not be as exquisitely dressed or be as ethereally gorgeous. The magical dress transforms them to the stunningly beautiful princesses that they really are. Unbeknownst to them, the affair proves to be such a pivotal event in their lives in that through it, the world as they know it, will be vastly widened, their exposure will be immensely expanded and they will instantaneously become an overnight celebrity. This event will primarily catapult them into the limelight. More importantly, through this event, their future, with the men that they will spend the rest of their lives with, will dramatically be sealed.
Initially when she just arrives at the location dressed in inexpensive jeans and a no-name brand blouse, she causes a stir among the women in the room. The women are reminiscent of the wicked step sisters who are unable to hide their insecurities and are disappointingly incapable at concealing their envy of Maya. They have a deep-seated hatred for Maya, who they consider unrefined and inferior, because she has actually managed to triumph where they had sorely failed. To them, Maya has successfully secured the love and trust of the CEO of the company, their employer, who also happens to be the most sought after bachelor around. Brazenly, in the past, each of them have unashamedly made advances toward Richard and informed him that they are interested in him. To their chagrin, none of their feminine wiles worked on him.
Like Cinderella, Maya enters the launch event unescorted. After a quick change of clothing, she emerges into the room to a stunned audience. Her breathtaking beauty disarms all in attendance. The men are mesmerized by her loveliness. The women are envious of her enchanting radiance. Time seems to stand still. All eyes are riveted to the brightest spectacle in the entire room. The men are especially appreciative of the seeming apparition that graced the occasion. The women can only look with grudging resentment. But Maya is only interested in one person’s attention. Presently, that person is engaged in a deep conversation with a circle of like-minded business professionals. However, when everyone’s gaze seems to wander towards the middle of the room, he couldn’t help but turn to look for himself, as well. Alas! That is when he realized that someone has indeed captivated everyone. And to his great amazement, it is his beloved Maya that has everyone enthralled. He quickly recognizes that he himself cannot help but admire the beauty that has everyone stupefied to inaction. He is not at all surprised as he finds himself unable to contain the overwhelming love and pride he feels for the blessing that has miraculously come his way. Richard is visibly speechless with the vision that is Maya and can only manage to say in his mind, “Wow!”
Cinderella danced with her prince well into the night. The prince fell in love with her. He proposed to her. They got married. And they lived happily ever after. Likewise, the same ending will definitely happen for Maya. How Richard, her prince, will lead Maya to that blessed happy ending is what the viewers will wait for with bated breath. As the story’s creative team will undoubtedly skillfully manipulate the events to sadistically toy with our feelings as we painfully wait for a satisfactory reward for our undiminished commitment and support for this drama, there is nothing left to do but savor every morsel of romantic moments they decide to dole out and gratefully accept whatever offering they feel like giving. After all, we would not have relentlessly supported such an experimental endeavor if we didn’t agree that their masterful writing and clever portrayal of their genius conceptualization is nothing short of brilliant.
Happy 4th everyone! We know that in the skies above our beloved Sir Chief and Maya, a magnificent display of fireworks can be seen. Inwardly, the lovers effectively echo the uncontainable love and passion they feel for each other. They are literally bursting with emotions, as well.

Di bale magulpi ka sa kamay ng mga bully, pero kailangan stand your ground ka, or walang patid ka mag-bully yung mga hindi nakikinig sa mga nanay nila tungkol sa good manners and right conduct. Pero I have every hope that you will find a way to get through this – may pinagmanahan ka sa tapang, after all.

Knowing Maya was really hungry, Richard stops at another place so she could get something to eat. They walk inside the restaurant but Richard pulled Maya to sit down at the table so he could order the food for her (talagang dinibdib niya ang promise kay Abby that he will take care of her Ate Maya. Plus one pogi points ka Ser Chief..dinagdag sa milyon milyon mong pogi points).
