MOVING ON… MOVING FORWARD…
Moving on…
There are events in our lives that bring us down to our knees – someone we loved, someone who hurt us, someone who left with no reason or explanation, leaving us just because. But we do have that choice… we may remain down on our knees, lying on the floor or we can do otherwise, but really the choice is all ours to take, whether we like it or not. Mending a broken heart is never easy, for it can be a long, winding, tedious and difficult process. As in relationships, breakups also entail putting in significant time and effort… this time around centering with oneself. Remember the pain won’t go away overnight simply because we trusted someone with all our heart; they may have taken care of it, but then they broke it; they may have held it carefully for a while but then gave it back broken in pieces; the hurt may keep us broken, but sometimes in life we just have to let go, to forgive in order to pick up the pieces, put ourselves together and move on. It may take long but everything will heal… in time.
Luke, seeing Joey at Nikki’s school after their breakup brought uneasiness and awkwardness not only to him but Joey as well. He may have been composed but reflecting on that encounter may have brought painful memories of that unresolved breakup. He may have been meaning to text her, but the pain and the memory of that breakup not long ago may have prevented him to do so; and just because he thought of her would not necessarily mean he wanted her back for sometimes missing someone is just part of the process. For letting go doesn’t mean giving up… it means moving on. It may be one of the hardest things one will do as one needs to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be; recognizing that people and circumstances change; and it means maturing… moving on, no matter how difficult no matter how hard. But moving on means learning to forgive not only the person who had done the wrong but the one who had been wronged… for forgiveness and letting go are pathways on the road back happiness. Because the truth is, one cannot enjoy the now and embrace the tomorrows when one is stuck in the yesterdays. So Luke worry not… for one day you’ll forget the pain, the reason of your sadness, and who caused you pain… for you will realize soon enough that things will unfold in their own way and in their own time. What matters in the end, is not the first, but the last chapter of your life… showing how well you ran the race called life. So smile, laugh, forgive, believe, explore and love all over again.

Moving Forward…
Problems with in-laws or in-laws(to be) are among the most common happiness impediments and challenges between two people in a relationship for they have that unique power to drive the partners crazy. Sometimes their disapproval of their child’s partner is triggered not because one did something wrong but because their child’s attention is all on the partner and parents can simply not accept that fact and they simply find it hard to let go. For more often than not, it’s not about the partner at all… it’s about them (in-laws or in-laws to be); it’s their fear; it’s their jealousy; their boredom and their insecurities.
DE may have been one huge challenge for Maya for she can launch that look of disapproval, disgust and indifference like no other; dismissed her with an eyebrow, a sigh, a chuckle; or an ultimate button pusher. She may have become one of DE’s greatest rival over her unico hijo (Richard). And while she may have an exaggerated sense of self-worth, highly self-absorbed, entitled, condescending, superior, show-offish, competitive, and approval-craving but the truth remains, she loves her son and he is after all her child that she gave birth to and cared for. While, DE may have accepted that her son is well grown and capable of making decisions on his own for himself and his family, she may very well been threatened by any woman that tried or will try to influence or will have more impact on her unico hijo triggering that jealousy and insecurity within her. She may have been threatened by Maya’s increasing influence over Richard and the kids that those standards and rules she had strictly enforced had been set aside for the newer ways of managing the family’s affairs. The old ways she may have inculcated may have been replaced unintentionally by the more open, loving and interactive ways that Maya had influenced Richard in dealing with the kids which may have been short of an insult to the matriarch of the family.
But with Maya’s positive ways at looking at life in general, DE may just be in for a ride she may not initially enjoy but would eventually welcome. For with Maya, anything negative, she can almost always turn into something positive just by her way of looking at it or dealing with it or simply by being herself. For when someone is unreasonable, illogical and self-centered – she forgives anyway; for while treating everyone with kindness, she may be accused of selfish ulterior motive – she remains kind anyway; for when she speaks of honesty and frankness, some may not like it – she will be honest and frank anyway; and when she is happy and someone is jealous of that happiness, she will deal with it and make them happy as well, for Maya sees happiness not in herself but those around her, those that matter to her the most. For she is forever accommodating… always caring… constantly looking for the welfare of others… and overflowing with love emanating from the pureness of her heart. For her happiness stems from those she’s making happy; from those she loves and those she cares with all her heart.

You did it again girl. I like how you highlighted Luke’s process of grieving over a love gone awry and describing the process of moving on. I like the last sentence of that piece delivered in a staccato beat that seems to indicate that he should start marching forward and start moving on. The verbs you chose gently urges him to essential move on. They are positive affirmations that he can live with: “So smile, laugh, forgive, believe, explore and love all over again.”

DE,OA KA NA! Di ko gets kung ano problema nya samantalang nung yaya pa si Maya e pinakasabi-sabi pa kay SC na hwag pakakawalang ‘to.
“NO ONE WILL EVER BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY SON”. Dona E has always been an uphill climb for Maya, from the moment her relationship with Ser Chief was upgraded to gelfrend. Everything that Maya did, is doing or will do will never be enough, will never be right. I don’t think Manang Fe’s talk with Dona E did any good. Perhaps it will really take something as drastic as an ATAKE DE CORAZON to do Maya justice. Siyempre, not to get rid of Dona E (sobra naman) but to prove that in spite of what she has put Maya through, Maya loves her because she is her Ser Chief’s mother and will do whatever it takes to help her get well. Then again, let’s give Dona E another chance. Perhaps she will give way to the relationship but gives Maya fair warning that she will always be a monkey on her back. Maya will have to put up or ship out. We know she won’t opt for the latter unless it’s a matter of life or death. Kute would tell us the same thing.
So it would seem that it is the green monster that is at work here. As it probably was with Alex, it now is with Maya. I just wonder why, if Dona E is this possessive, did she share her son with Manang Fe? Was she always too busy or too self-absorbed to realize her son was growing up to be a strong man under Manang Fe’s care and tutelage and that he and his children were not okay after Alex’s passing? Did she celebrate Alex’s demise? I should hope not.
In the meantime, we remain steadfastly with Maya. Her heart, too, is breaking, for her and for the love of her life. She knows Ser Chief will be by her side but as before, she will not be truly happy unless everyone is. Kakayanin natin ito, Maya. KAPIT BISIG.

I thought the same thing too. If they really wanted to hide the evidence, Doris should have hidden that bowl and the wet towel. However, the writer may have intended for those items to be there so that it would aggravate Dona Esmeralda and Maya does not really want to be deceptive, either. So there. Talagang yung ang plano.

Look at them happy, laughing and singing. Do they look stressed? Open your eyes and heart, maybe you will see that they are full of love for each other, and they make each other happy, including Maya. Dona E, bawal ang nega naba block ang blessings!!!
FAMILY…ANOTHER WORD FOR LOVE.
When we look back at our life, the greatest joys and the greatest sorrows we experience are in family relationships and the love we have for each other. Family is the center of Maya’s life. She has made many sacrifices, for the love of her family in San Nicolas. When she entered the house of the Lim’s, she filled it with love and it became a home where the children were nurtured to become happy and loving individuals, but most especially to become a FAMILY again.
Maya treated all her friends from childhood to adulthood like family. She never wants anyone to be left out, she is the force that brings people together and the glue that keeps them together. She has so much love, that she always saw the good in people. She was taught at an early age by Nanay T that love for others and family is her greatest treasure. Dona E will see through Maya’s heart, that her motivation for all these is her love for family. And this is what saddens Maya at this moment, because Dona E has not accepted her into the family which she equates with love.
Living together in Love..”Love one another, as I have loved you.” (John 13:34). On this simple phrase hangs the success of every family. We love them with all our hearts, soul and mind. And as we do, our ordinary family is transformed into an extraordinary one. When life seems tough, our family is the home where we find love, compassion, and warmth. Within our family, we feel reassured that someone understands and cares how we feel. And the compassion we witness and experience at home inspires us to be more compassionate to others.
Eh kasi naman eh, parang confused yata si Donya Esmeralda!!! She understands daw kung bakit mahal si Maya ng anak niya, tapos no one will be good enough for his son? It doesn’t follow noh!!! Isa pa, may perfect ba na babae wala naman di ba!! siguro nag-hahalucinate lang si DE dahil sa sakit ng braso niya!!!
Simula ng nagbago ang relasyon ni SC with the kids (thanks to Maya) ..talagang kaabang-abang yung mga scenes niya with them.. lalo na with Nikki .. kasi it’s really hilarious. Kay Luke kasi more on passive supportive si SC and hindi na kontra-bulate.. pero Nikki just gained a more protective and very much outspoken dad since Maya’s magic. That “girl talk na naman?” And his reaction sa teaser.. kekeke…super funny.
At ang ganda nung pagkakasabi ni Maya ng ‘Richard’ nung nag-uusap sila ni DE. Sarap pakinggan.

We are indeed blessed by our Creator when he allowed us to be born into our very own family, without whom we would not have the requisite confidence to face the world outside nor the warm and unconditional acceptance to come home to when we fall short of our objective. It is because of them that we have the strength to wake up, go through the rigors of life again, knowing that whether we come home winners or losers, it doesn’t really matter. Because for them, they love us just as we are, no conditions attached, no questions asked. Hence, our family is indeed His gift to us!

On DE, baka matumba siya bec of stress and then si Maya makakakita sa kanya tapos bubuhatin siya papuntang kama.. and will massage her with Pau Liniment (I foresaw product placement soon as DE started rubbing her aching shoulders) Now, Donya E.. will you change your mind about Maya then?

I’m sure the writers will end this saga amicably as well, so we just have to wait for that right time.

Hello everyone…Today’s offering is a bit different because as yall know I am on vacation and now has come the time that my activities has caught up with me. No matter what I do I simply could not find the two or more hours to spend to capture today’s episode. I promise however that later, once I get home from picking up everyone from the airport and driving them around the tourist spots, I will try my best to come back and post my review. I apologize to everyone. I will surely miss the Minkahan. I hope you all understand.
I wonder what Niknik wants to talk to Maya about? Me thinks it had something to do with Mallows talking about making ligaw to Chessica. I am also in awe of Niknik’s voice. Me thinks she really is more talented as far as singing is concerned than Luke. Joey is definitely a wowza but it is funny that she would go back to high school in daisy dukes shorts and off shoulder tee. Nicolo’s mouth dropped at one look to Joey’s natural beauty. What happened to her and Luke is the writer’s way to revamp her image and then re-introduce her back. Hopefully this time the connection, with the help of the story line, would be a bit better than before. I am not looking forward to the matapobre Mother of Joey though. Hopefully she also underwent a revamp. I wonder what she would think about Maya and Richard being on of the first ones to verbally acknowledge the natural connection between Maya and Richard.
My poor Maya. She is always microchecked by Dona Excuse Me who is really making me mad moreso now. The teaser does not help that her dialogue to Maya is condecending and maybe her issue isn’t anything about Maya’s being poor but more like Maya having so much influence on everyone in the household. While she believes in strict parenting, Maya believes in TLC, understanding and fun. I will take Maya’s parenting (opkors she got it from the way Nanay T and Mamang raised her) technique better than anyone’s and most specially better than Dona Excuse Me. I think her ways complement Richard’s more secure and stern way. However, together, they give the kids lots and lots of love. No matter what happens, I believe Richard and Maya will not crumble under this pressure. Richard is just too happy to keep Maya over his parents (Or over Dona Excuse Me) any day. I think she will have to change her ways soon if she wants her son’s relationship. Sure Richard loves her after all she is his Mom and I also believe that although she is so mean to Maya that Maya’s heart is open for her. It would be nice to have her blessings (assuming Don R is on board with Richard and Maya), but at this point, from Richard’s pov, it doesn’t matter. Richard believes that some day she will accept Maya.
I hope they hurry up and deal the issue with Cho. They just need about 5 to 8 minutes of air time to settle this entire thing. Poor Cho is really stressing over the bully-lits. I still wanna pop that little kid’s eye off his face and sell them on black market ha ha…but that does not tantamount to GV and we only want nothing but GV right??????
Ok I only have five minutes to get gas and Starbucks coffee. Running on 3 hours of sleep and an entire day of driving around the city in mid week and mid day traffic. Yikkes! Wish me luck.

REASSERTION
I would like to bring up two points that I have previously mentioned in previous posts. I feel that both have relevance in the context of today’s episode.
On 6/21/2013, under the heading THE APPROACHING CLOUD, I wrote the following written contribution for that day:
“Clouds in the horizon can be a welcome sight or an ominous sign. In the context of our story line, I would like to submit that the approaching cloud portends the bigger twist that the creative writers have been hatching all along. I believe that this cloud is going to bring a torrential downpour in the lives of the main characters of our story.”
In this paragraph, I was referring to Dona Esmeralda. It seems that this projection is being manifested before our very eyes.
Throughout the past few episodes, Dona Esmeralda has shown nothing but a range of emotions from indifference to downright rudeness towards Maya. However, she needs to realize that she has to respect her son’s decision. In time, she will eventually acknowledge that her son loves this young woman and there is absolutely nothing that she can do to prevent him from asking her to marry him. She simply needs to stop meddling in his life, open her eyes and recognize the fact that her Ricky is totally and passionately in love with Maya. Moreover, she can no longer deny the fact that her grandchildren, Abby, Luke and Nikki all love Maya, as well. Furthermore with Maya in their life, all of them seem to feel like a whole family again. Together, they are blissfully happy! This is what really matters, anyway. Ultimately, if she is truly concern for the welfare of her family, she should just give her blessings to them. She has to realize that she actually doesn’t have a choice, anyway. Her Ricky will choose Maya over her, any day. He has done it before and he will do it again. She is just fighting a losing battle if she persists.
The second assertion that I am going to reiterate is Dona Esmeralda’s condition. In a post two days ago this is what I said:
“I am afraid I am going to reassert my predictions from yesterday. She is showing the classic signs of someone who has a heart problem. She looks absolutely worn out and simply walking to join Maya at the dining table seems like a chore. Furthermore, she keeps on touching her shoulders the way she is, seems she is experiencing a mild heart attack. I hope I am wrong.”
I now strongly feel that she is unhealthy and that she may have a heart condition. Of course, I want nothing more than to be proven wrong.

BCWMH will never stoop that low. They will always maintain the GV GV philosophy that they have been living up to, thus far
I have a feeling Dona Esmeralda is trying to be contrary because she is testing how far Maya will go….eh di bah Maya never gives up especially when she is challenged. Remember Ms. Belmonte, ginawa pa ni Maya her inspiration just to prove she is worth the recommendation and more. That one had a very positive effect, Ms. Belmonte had to acknowledge and accept who Maya is and she even boast to Jaime Ventura (owner of Time Airways) about her being the best trainee they ever had (as told by Jaime Ventura during the hangar launch).
Another twist is the something happening I am waiting for…the Dona might be sick and because she does not want to know what’s wrong with her, she occupies herself being the kontrabida because it takes away her mind from her aches and pains…….so she is going to boil over soon and I am hoping Maya will have a hand in helping her…..
Hahaha may “drink moderately” naman eh. Actually, gusto ko emperador light ang iTVC nya! LOL

I am beginning to really dislike Dona Esmeralda so much! The way she talks to Maya is so G-R-R-R-R! Nagkakasiyahan lang sila Maya at ang mga bata with singing and she has to be so masungit about it. I really thought that she will love seeing her apos singing and having fun when SC invited her to see them. Then, muntik pang mapagalitan si Doris ng grabe ni Dona Esmeralda. She is so strict talaga! I really didn’t like how Dona Esmeralda didn’t even let Maya finish taking responsibility for giving Abby a spongebath. She just walked away. Tapos when Maya was saying goodbye, she just stared at Maya with her piercing eyes. I just noticed when SC called his mom out because of her being suplada, she left without giving Maya a hug or a kiss. SC really know his mom very well. I really hope that she will have an open mind regarding Maya. I hope she sees what SC and the rest of the household sees in Maya.
Dona Esmeralda, I think it is time for you to let go of your son and let him and his kids live their own lives. (I can’t believe I am saying this because I am having a hard time lettting go of my kids, too. lol! I just hope that I am not as mean as Dona Esmeralda when the time comes. hehehe!)
I really love how SC held Maya’s hand on the dinner table. I think it is his way of reassuring her that everything will be okay (once his parents leave….lol!). If I were Maya, I wouldn’t go out with Dona Esmeralda on my own. She is too scary! I also love the part where Nikki texted Maya at dinner! Napangiti tuloy si SC. hehehe! saka ang-galing na rin ni SC sa pang-aasar. Natawa talaga ako when SC took the phone from Maya and told Nikki, “girl talk again.” Ang-cute talaga nilang dalawa. When Maya kissed SC on the cheek to appease him for feeling neglected, kung ano-ano tuloy ang naisip ko that Maya can do to sufficiently make SC feel like he is the most important person in her life. (wink! wink!) eeeeks! nakakakilig talaga!
Manang Fe, I hope that you can soften Dona Esmeralda’s heart. I think your talk with her will help a lot. From the teaser, Dona Esmeralda might think that no one will be good enough for her son, but at least now she acknowledged that she sees why her son loves Maya.
Maya, just continue being yourself. LIsten to SC’s advice regarding his mom. He knows his mom best. You can’t please everyone. Basta kapit bisig ka lang with SC, the kids and all the kasambahays.

I have to watch this episode 5x times because I did not understand why Donya E made a 360 degrees turn around. I still come back to the conclusion that what she just really need is a shoulder massage :-). A lot of natural healers said that human touch have a special soothing effect. When Don R applied some ointment on Donya E the other day, it did not have any effect, because he was griping that time. But when Maya did the massage, it was full of love and care and voila, just like the magic kiss, it healed not only the pain but also the negative vibes inside Donya E had vanish.
Following this premise, maybe, Don R also needs a massage but this time with a twist. Dear writers, please take note. Ano kaya kung bisitahin nila ni SC and his Dad ang San Nicolas Workshop ng Lim Aviation at dadaan sila kina Maya. Then Don R will meet Lola Mamang and because of too much travelling magka-headache si Don R. I’m sure Lola Mamang will be very happy to take care of him, dahil she had a crush on Richard before. Kung hindi niya makuha ang anak, baka maging successful siya sa ama 🙂 Sugurado akong biglang babait ‘yan si Don Ricardo after Mamang is finish with him. Okay ba itong script ko dear writers?
Seriously, this episode’s revelation of the true character of Don R, was not a surprise to me. Actually, the writers are already giving us small hints about his inner self. I can recall two scenes which I already question his real character. The first one was during his conversation with SC when he ask SC to accompany him to visit the new hangar which SC replied on the negative because they have a scheduled dinner with Maya. The way he re-acted that time, he come short of telling Richard that dinner with Maya is not important for him. The second episode where I picked up the hint from the writers was the scene where they went to visit the land that he wants for future investment. He was very enthusiastic about it but Richard was not paying attention because SC was concerned about Maya’s lunch with his Mum. Don R’s annoyance was clearly evident that time but the same as the first one it was controlled.
And based on next week’s trailer, it seems that the writer is painting Don R as the typical Chinese Patriarch. He hold himself as the High and Mighty one, but he will have to come back to earth at some point in time. I won’t be surprised if the writer’s will do this by a revelation that DonR was cheating on DonyaE when he was younger and a child out of wedlock will appear :-). Ha-ha. My imagination runs wild Dear writers. This is what weekends do to me. I have to make up my own story to bridge the gap. Happy weekend sa inyong lahat!

About Kute and Cho!
Now that Kute knows about Cho’s problem, how should she handle it? Does she go and tell the school officials or confront the little bullies? I hope the writers come up with a good solution.
When my son was a sophomore in high school, a boy in his class, sitting behind him in class, had been kicking my son’s desk. He asked the boy to stop several times but he kept on doing it. Finally, my son stood up and threw a book on him. The boy stood up and punched my son. My son, with one punch, sent the boy to the floor, all within the sight of everybody including the teacher. Needless to say, within hours
I was at the principal’s office, being told that my son would be suspended for two days. I reminded the principal that the other student threw the first punch. I said “What was he supposed to do, when we’ve always told him to never start trouble but should defend himself if need be, especially against bullies”.. The principal said “sorry, but we cannot allow fighting in school.” “I understand” I said, and left it at that. Neither I nor my husband accosted our son, because we believed he did what he had to do.
Were we right? I think Cho, should learn how to defend himself even if Kute report the bullying to the teachers.
My hats off to you and your husband for effectively supporting your son in his stance against bullying! I bet no one, especially that perpetrator, ever bullies him again. That was the most logical move, indeed! Obviously you have raised your son right, that no one has a right to inflict any kind of abuse on him, whether it is done unintentionally, physically or psychologically, it should never be tolerated. Bravo!On the other hand, I can also understand the school’s point of view. I bet the principal, in the silence of his heart, lauded your son’s move, but as he is dictated by his position to uphold the administration’s stance to take the high road on the matter, he has to openly declare that they do not condone the expression of violence in a school setting.
Likewise, I cannot wait how the school staff or Kute and the matriarchs will bring the resolution to Cho’s bullying problem. Er, more specifically, how the creative writers will tackle this issue and how they will have the actors portray their message. I can hardly wait!

a father who is protective over their amassed wealth. but come to think of it, who can blame

antimano. the chinese patriarchs worked their butt off to get where they are now in the field
of business in PI. hard work, sheer determination, perseverance, tenacity…eto ang baon ng
mga intsik na migrante sa pinas nuong unang panahon. pawis at dugo ang pinuhunan ni
donR sa tinatamasang kayamanan sa ngayon that is why who can fault him if he will guard
it with eagle eyes (hmmm…kala natin si donyaE lang ang mala agila tumingin ha? (ibahin
ang donR since he owns these chinky eagle eyes).

THE SILVER LININGS
Life is one roller coaster ride – full of ups and downs, highs and lows. We all go through rough and difficult times every now and then, that treading through life’s most difficult, heart wrenching moments can weigh us down, making us more vulnerable, exposed, at times helpless and defenseless. These difficult times are like dark clouds looming on the horizon, blocking the sun for when life gets tough, there may be more to it than initially meets the eye… when all seems lost and nothing seems to be going right, giving up seems to be the easy way out.
DE seemingly disapproval of Maya as Richard’s girlfriend and her continuing coldness, giving Maya such hard time is taking a toll not only to Maya but Richard as well. For nothing came thru as acceptable to anything and everything that Maya had done so far – not the encouraging playing in the rain that caused Abby’s fever; not the jamming with the kids; the sponge-bath she had given Abby; or even not eating as much. DE had put Maya into a microscope that anything no matter how minute, she would try her hardest to find faults in the way Maya looks, acts, or do. Richard, witnessing all the indifference done to Maya and seeing how affected Maya was with the situation could only try to persuade DE to go easy on her, be open minded and give her that chance; while he kept reassuring Maya, supporting her, making her feel loved and standing behind her so she will not feel isolated and alone.
While Maya was reaching out further to SC’s parents and trying to seek their blessing for her and Richard’s relationship, Kute, finally confirming her intuition that something is going on with Cho at school, confronted Cho and urged him to tell the truth of what’s really going on with him at school. While Cho initially refused and tried his hardest to conceal the whole truth, Kute temporarily sought the help of Nanay T and Mamang to extract the truth from Cho to no avail. In the end the mother and son talked it out between them and fleshed out the real situation of what Cho is going thru with his classmates bullying him.
Yet, no matter how rough things get, there will always be something good that can or will come out from those toughest of tough times. Truth is, every cloud has a silver lining… for in every trial lies blessings well hidden, waiting to be uncovered, discovered. There will always be that silver lining even in the most critical moments. No matter how dire things have become, no matter how much uncertainty are shrouding all around us, may we never lose hope for there will always be that glimmer of light peeking thru those dark clouds; there will always be that flicker of light shining thru, guiding us through our deepest, darkest, most desolate days. All we need is to look for that light…follow it… hold on to it and soon we will find our way.
And with Maya’s patience, perseverance and her unwavering positive outlook; and perhaps with Richard and Manang Fe’s persuasive words on the good things Maya has done and is continuously doing showering the kids and Richard included with unconditional love, devotion and support; and DE’s own observations and perception, DE as she invited Maya to talk, finally succumbed and gave her approval and blessing in accepting Maya as Richard’s girlfriend. And as DE opens her heart to Maya not only will she have an ally in Maya but she will also have the missing link (in Maya) as she tries to reconnect and take an active part in the lives of Richard and her grandkids. On Maya’s part, not only will she build a good relationship with Richard’s mom, but she will also gain another mother in DE in the process.
And as Kute talked to Cho about the problem he is facing, the key really is to spot the good in the midst of the bad situation for hidden somewhere are opportunities amidst these adversities. For in the end, tough situations define us… they mold us, shape us, and test our strength. In these make or break moments, when determination and resolve are put to the ultimate test, we discover a lot about ourselves. For Cho, he will come out stronger knowing that no matter what, no matter how hard, he will always have his Nanay looking after him, loving him and nurturing him. And not only will he have his Nanay but his Lola Nanay, Mamang, his Papa Pards and Ninang Maya to guide him and shower him with love and affection making him ready to face whatever challenges he will come face to face in his young life.
Indeed, every cloud has a silver lining – we should never feel hopeless because difficult times always lead to better days, every difficult situation has a bright side waiting to happen. Truly, “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.”

The real and reel life of SC is the twist in today’s episode. One of the writer of BCWMH, Jimuel dela Cruz wrote on his Twitter account, “That twist was based on a real life experience.” Me thinks that this is the real life of SC being portrayed. As he has admitted in an interview, that when he courted and married his wife, his father was against the relationship, which resulted in their estranged relationship. If I remember it right, his father did not speak to him until they had their first child. Is it a coincidence also that his real wife is an FA, and his soon to be wife Maya is also an FA. He also admitted in the same interview that he is not demonstrative in his affection, and that his wife was the one that taught him. In their reel life, Maya is also the one that is more affectionate and demonstrative. Hhhhmmmm!!! SC kung meron mang katotohanan kahit konti, we admire you for sharing your real life story with us and letting us in to your heart.
And not to forget Maya, the most selfless person I know. Sabi ko nga ba walang maka tanggi sa charm mo. You can soften the hardest of heart of Dona E. Lambing lang pala ang katapat ng matataas na kilay mo Dona E. Everything Maya touch turns to gold. Now enters contrabida Don R. Sya pala ang tunay na matapobre. Straight to the point sya, na Maya night only be interested in his wealth. Aba Don R, pwede ba kilalanin mo muna yung tao, bago ka mahusga. Kung pera lang ang gusto ni Maya kay SC, di sana pinabayaran nya lahat ang mga nagawa nya sa familia na ito. And all the thigns she has done, money can’t buy. Katulad ng palaging sinasabi ni Manang Fe, na ang pagaaruga nababyaran ng pera, pero ang pagmamahal ay hindi nababayaran ng salapi. And Maya has gone beyond pagaaruga, minahal nya and mga anak ni SC. At saka hindi naman si Maya and humabol kay SC, kasi she was willing to be just her “superfriend” eh. Yes, she had a crush on him and admired him because she saw his “Ideal man” in him, but she could not imagine that a man SC’s caliber would pursue her and fall in love with her.

AND THE OTHER SHOE DROPS
The Creative Writing Team of this show is really having some brilliant brainstorming sessions lately. They know that it is traditionally the mother who will show some resistance in accepting the prospective daughter-in-law into the family. Hence, they milked that concept with Dona Esmeralda portraying the overbearing and hard-to-please boyfriend’s mother. Through her convincing portrayal of a rich b_ t _h (it rhymes with itch) who thinks that there is absolutely no woman that is good enough for her son, Dona E successfully goads the viewers, who identifies very closely with Maya and will do everything to support her, albeit only in thoughts and sending subliminal messages through the tfc forum, to actually curse her a painful physical ailment that may cause her to become incapacitated for a very long time. Essentially, the writers have competently toyed with the viewers’ feelings when they sadistically created this scenario. Thankfully, in today’s episode, the writers have retired the antagonist role of Dona Esmeralda. When that happened, the world literally heard the TFC population let out a collective sigh of relief. It is as if a painful in-grown toe nail has finally been clipped off.
However, the creative writers are apparently not quite done with their fiendish plans. They evidently want to continue their serving of twisted plots that rouse the ire of its viewers. They obviously enjoyed the huge reaction they got from the mean Dona Esmeralda. Thus they continue the plot by dishing out yet another cruel twist into the story. They now introduce Don Roberto as the new villain. His role plays the father of the son/boyfriend who discourages Richard’s pursuit of Maya. In fact, he insensitively encourages him to “play the field”. Left to his own devices he will probably shamelessly market his own son as the “most desirable bachelor” in the country. Unbeknownst to Don Roberto, his unsolicited advice does not at all sit well with his son. Excitedly, the former is so absorbed in his own world and his own plans for his son’s future that he fails to recognize that the latter is ill at ease with his ideas. Unwittingly, Don Roberto is essentially alienating himself from Richard, who totally is disagreeing with his unsolicited advice. Moreover, a disappointed Richard is now nurturing some rather strong negative feelings towards his Dad. This definitely does not bode well for the madlang viewers who have just taken a much needed breather from Mdme Cruella DeVille only to be immediately thrown back into another tailspin with Darth Vader, himself.
Actually I am not complaining about how the Creative Writers are seemingly playing with our emotions. I am actually in awe of their brilliance and in essence, my post today is dedicated to them.

The something I was expecting from Dona Esmeralda never happened, if at all she knows how to tow the line with Richard and had to admit to herself that Maya is the go to girl of her grandchildren. What with Manang Fe, and the rest of the staff plus the children, what else can a mother do except accept the fact that her son found someone who not only loved him but loved and embraced his whole family. Maya despite the uncertainty of reading Dona Esmeralda is still true to herself especially with the massaging of the Dona’s shoulders. Thank you Dona E for apologizing and finally verbalizing that Maya is okay for you for your son. Mothers will always try to understand and embrace what their children have chosen.
The surprise twist is Don Roberto. The surprise on Sir Chief’s face was revealing and because the Don was focused on his subject matter of Richard meeting other women whom he could choose from never noticed that he was hurting his own son. It would seem the Don only thinks of Sir Chief’s relationship as a girlfriend only and would not last….his statement of “do not be too serious on Maya, it is not as if you are going to marry her.” (or something to that effect) which I find disrespectful / out of line. But being the father, he forgot that he was talking to a 46 year old CEO who has a mind of his own. Now there is an obvious clash between father and son and the Dona has not noticed it yet, but Maya forever observant, tuned in already to Sir Chief. Hay naku, tables are turned, now the undercurrent will be between father and son.
Finally something happened in San Nicolas – now Kute, Nanay Teresita and Mamang knows what is Cho’s problem. At least it is now known, hopefully
resolution will come in the next episode.
Luke’s audition is shown on the teasers so next episode pa yon, but wait, Nikki sharing with Joey that Nicolo and Luke will be making ligaw????? Shucks Niks, napangunahan mo nanaman si Kuya mo.

MAYA/LimKids/SC: They are a perfect example of a happy family communicating thru text or call…checking in with Maya who is slowly taking over the Mother role for them.
DR: so, ikaw pala ang twist na sinasabi ni sir Jimuel …financial issues and security for his grandchildren is what he’s after…understandable for rich people…it’s already a common issue & if it needs to be tackled sa story then so be it…just don’t let it drag.
Cho’s Big Reveal
Gaaaaah! FINALLY!!! I felt so relieved that Kute confronted Cho about the little pests..uhm…I mean kid bullies.
I will shamelessly admit that the mother-son scene made me cry like this.I really felt like making sumbong to Kute on Cho’s behalf. I’m excited to see how Kute will handle this incident.
Nikki confiding with Maya
I was smiling during that scene yesterday when Ser Chief took the phone from Maya. And today, I felt happy for Maya that Nikki can freely talk to her just like a friend would. Her patience with her is really paying off.
Though, I hope Maya can give Nikki some advice too on how she should act towards the clueless Niccolo. I honestly think that this dude is still unaware of Nikki’s feelings. But time will come when he will notice her too, but not just yet.
I see conflict brewing between Luke and Niccolo in the future. I remember Ser Chief telling Maya ” It’s a guy thing” ( on Nikki liking his Kuya’s BFF).
Manang Fe and Donya Esmeralda conversation
I couldn’t help but smile when DE admitted that MF also played a major role in SC’s life. The acknowledgement gave MF enough guts to be honest with DE.
I just noticed though, while DE is able to judge her son based on what she literally sees…MF uses her heart to understand what SC really feels.
I guess it has something to do with DE being always out of the country leaving MF to take care of SC. So in essence, MF is more of a mother to SC than DE, right?
Ser Chief and Maya conversations
The first scene in the car was kinda “bitin”. Well, at least I felt Ser Chief was ‘bitin’ with the surprise kiss on the cheek.
Then there’s the look on Ser Chief’s face when he got home and texted Maya. It’s like saying ” I wish I could go home to you” . But I could just be imagining things here. Hehehe
Ser Chief reporting to Maya as to where he is has now become a habit. It’s an improvement, really. I just wish that Maya would drop the “Ser Chief ko” and just call him Richard. Jodi also has to lessen the
Ser Chief “the prized” son of Donya Esmeralda
I would have to commend Ser Chief for giving his mom a piece of his mind. I think it kinda helped in DE slowly accepting Maya ( aside from MF’s talk of course).
However, acting wise, Richard Yap could’ve delivered it in a better way. I felt he was kinda stiff in his dialogues. Oh well, he’s not a born actor after all, what can we do?
I agree with DE that Ser Chief is still a good catch. But he’s not the best catch out there.
Maya can easily choose to see other more eligible rich guys (Capt James Ventura) —-those without three kids . Nonetheless, Maya opted to love Ser Chief. I totally agree with Ser Chief’s explanation to DE! Good thing his mom had her redeeming scene.
Maya is OK according to DE
Well, some would still complain and say ” What do you mean just ‘okay’?! She’s the best for him!” Now, now….coming from a mother who think so highly of her son, this is a welcome change! Maya sure felt relieved hearing it from DE. I feel for her especially after that tensed dinner at the mansion. If I were Maya I would’ve chocked and suffer indigestion!
I was right about the role of DE’s shoulder pain. See? DE felt more relaxed around Maya after she gave DE a massage ( I still hope it’s nothing serious like what others mentioned here)
The Surprise of Don Roberto
So, it has come to pass that it’s not DE whom we have to be bothered by. As it turned out, it’s the seemingly “harmless” “cool” Don Roberto.
The initial reaction for most of us would be the start bashing Don Roberto. He appears to be a superficial person, accusing Maya of being a gold digger. Then there’s that line “There are plenty of other women. Marami pang darating. Wag mong seryosohin masyado si Maya.” Like REALLY? He appears to have a very poor understanding of ageing. It’s as if in his eyes, even after Alex died and left his son with 3 kids, Ser Chief remained to be a man who can easily play with women given his many bank accounts! Such a conceited old man, most would say.
However, let’s not loose sight of the picture from the point of view of Ser Chief’s parents. Aren’t most parents like them?
Since Ser Chief is an only child, it’s pretty much a given that his parents are very possessive of him. They only want what’s best for their only child. Now, they also have to think of the welfare of their grandchildren. Financial stability is very important for Chinese families. I think that’s what triggered Don Roberto’s comments. Had it been the Richard Lim of the past, I’m pretty sure he would think along the same lines as his dad. But since he’s now a new man, he values his kids (and Maya) above everything else. I don’t see Don Roberto as the “evil dad” here. He just needs to understand where Ser Chief is coming from.

Finally, Kute, Nanay T and Mamang know of Cho’s predicament. I want Cho to be happy again, he’s only a child and he doesn’t need all these stress in his life. He is a very good kid and doesn’t deserve to be bullied by these bad kids.
I don’t think Dona Excuse Me will accept Maya if Ser Chief didn’t tell her very strongly that what she thinks of Maya will not change his feelings for her. Ser Chief opened her eyes and made her see and understand how deep his feelings for Maya is. Dona E chose to be on her son’s good side.
I thought Don R was smart and sensitive to his son’s feelings. The way he perceives Ser Chief and Maya’s relationship shows how shallow he is and how he views women as an inferior being. Don R doesn’t really know his son. He doesn’t know he shouldn’t pick a fight with his son because he’ll never win. I’m pretty sure now that Ser Chief got all his better traits from Manang Fe’s nurturing, not from his parents. His business acumen is probably the only gene he got from his father. Ser Chief is indeed so lucky to have Maya. Maya will be there to ease his feelings, make him feel better, encourage him to forgive his father and just love him. So Ser Chief, don’t feel too angry. Just hug and kiss Maya and you’ll be okay.

The Preview
I think there will be an inevitable father and son clash between Don Roberto and Ser Chief.
It’s evident that Ser Chief didn’t like how his dad sees Maya as an opportunist. He might actually be a little insulted too by the fact that his dad thinks that he’s dating Maya without any plans of marrying her.
There might be an LQ next week. Maya being the respectful girl that she is, would question Ser Chief’s action during the dinner. Ser Chief would try his best not to reveal what his dad said about Maya. However, this ‘non-disclosure’ might result to a rift between them too. Thus, the BIG conflict.
I just dunno how the proposal will come to play, but I think this would be the “conflict” prelude to the marriage offer.
Maya might have given DE the laminated picture of Ser Chief when he was young. The same one which Nikki, Abby, Maya, and Luke were laughing at during the earlier episodes. If I’m not mistaken, it was from Manang Fe.
I think it’s obvious that Niccolo and Luke will pass the audition. The song they sang is dedicated to Joey.
Cho and Kute will get back at the “small but terrible” bullies. First on the hit list is Ron-ron.

Well…I’m not really a big fan of Nikki and Niccolo ( I was once aKUTEFF shipper )
But, should it indeed happen….I guess, first thing that he has to deal with is how that would affect his friendship with Luke. We can expect Luke to be an overly protective Kuya. Once that’s settled, he can then make his intentions known to Nikki and eventually, Ser Chief.
But heck, they’re merely 17 & 15 in the story. A lot of things are bound to happen. I don’t think Ser Chief would allow Nikki to go out with Niccolo. But I’m guessing that they can still show each other that they care,right? Time will pass and soon enough we will know if the infatuation will go any deeper

Sa isang earlier article that interviewed one of the directors, December din ang namention na ending ng TV series and then continuation ang movie. But they were saying na book 1 will end in September with the wedding of SC & MAya. Then book 2 afterwards as husband and wife until December na nga… Remains to be seen.

Seems these first few comments are all negative. Nothing wrong with that. But to say na hindi na pinag uusapan ang BCWMH I will have to disagree. I’m not a super fan of the series pero I have observed that it’s trending on Twitter, it’s always talked about on Facebook, IwanTV, and PinoyExchange. Pati mga naging eksena hinihimay ng posters dun. As to whether it is getting boring or not, I can’t say since, again, I am not a super fan. Judging from the massive following, though, I can say the show is getting more interesting. Yun ngang pilitin na magkatuluyan sa totoong buhay sina RY and JSM at gawan ng ganitong issue is expected since ang dami ngang super fans.

What does it take to become a man who matters? For People Asia magazine, it seems one big hit is enough.
The magazine has included Richard Yap a.k.a. “Sir Chief” of the phenomenal daytime series “Be Careful with My Heart” in its list of “12 Men Who Matter.”
Judging from People Asia editor-in-chief Joanne Rae Ramirez’s note, the basis for selecting the few who made the cut was clear.
“We celebrate a few good men this issue — few because not many make it through the gauntlet that weeds out the mediocre from the extraordinary.”
A few good men
Columnist Bum Tenorio Jr. justified why the 46-year-old heartthrob landed on the list: “In an industry that puts much premium on youth, it is quite fascinating to know that local Tinseltown opens its doors to a man in his forties, showers him with kliegs and lets the world, so to speak, fall in love with him.”
Richard was also nominated in this year’s Yahoo! OMG! Awards for Breakthrough Actor. He finished third with 222,767 votes (Enrique Gil and Daniel Padilla placed first and second, respectively).
Meanwhile, together with onscreen partner Jodi Sta. Maria, Richard got 79,515 votes in Celebrity of the Year category, but lost to Marian Rivera’s 182,744 votes.
The “reluctant” heartthrob is also set to star in his debut movie—the big screen adaptation of his hit series in the Metro Manila Film Festival this December.

my favorite part in this episode is nicolo singing with luke. ang-galing pala ng boses ni nicolo! loved how he sang someday!

Again I made a wrong assumption on the framed item – ang galing that what was framed was the one with SC sleeping with the bunny ears – priceless!
I also liked that Dona Esmeralda can also loosen up, now taking time to actually play cards with Abby, and Abby responding spontaneously to the Lola. Another link / knot securing Abby’s family circle – now there is Grandma kapit bisig with Ate Maya. The missing link left is Grandpa. So wait for the next episode.
Sir Chief, cool ka lang…..Maya will always be by your side. And my imagination is running wild….I can still see a connection somewhere with Don Julio…..he told Maya that next time they see each other, ayos na ang problema ni Maya sa puso. Siguro si Don Julio ang missing link sa pamilya ni Maya – so Don Roberto, do not be too hasty to belittle our Maya.
On the teaser again Don Roberto’s tactlessness is showing…..sa dinner table pa. Hay naku Nikki, bakit ba naman puro nega ang mga genes nag flow sa iyo. But not to worry, it can be corrected if you will just be aware and process it first in your mind before you say anything.

Maya will have a very good mother in law. Maya is imaginative and shows sensitiveness to what Dona E will like, giving her a framed picture of Ser Chief with the bunny headdress. It is so original. Now I know where Ser Chief gets his being alaskador, from his Ma.
As to Don Roberto, Ser Chief just needs to make him understand that love is more important to him than money. Don R needs to see Ser Chief’s love for Maya, just like what Dona E saw.
Something to look forward to is how they are going to celebrate Ser Chief’s birthday. I wonder what the creative team is cooking. For sure it will be fun.

Don Roberto, huwag mo ng pa-abutin pa sa court and birthday celebration ni SC. Atty Maya can defend herself. And the Jurors’ (Lim kids, Manang Fe, Dor-Bel, Joma + Emman and Nicolo na rin) decision is unanimous! Judge Esmeralda will dismiss the case, and you will be sent to a corner for timeout!
At Dona E and Maya’s meeting place, Maya is still stunned at what Dona E said. Last Friday, Dona E just told Maya that she is Richard’s mother and she will always think that no one is good enough for his son. Then she tells Maya “But you Maya…you are ok” This came to Maya as a huge surprise thus she seemed in trance. Dona E tried to get her attention back by calling her name. Maya suddenly woke up from her trance and asked her to please repeat her question. Dona E said she has not asked the question yet but she was about to. Then Maya laughed a little and told her she is ready (Ha ha Maya, I think you simply could not believe that she would say that. Neither did I. I was in complete shock as well. So don’t fret Maya go go go with Dona E. She loves your healing hands :D) Dona E asked Maya, “Why are you speechless? This is the first time I have seen you like that.” “Why? It doesn’t look good on me?” Maya jokingly said and they laughed.Then Maya remembered she wanted to give Dona E something. Maya hands her a gift and after Dona E’s pleasantries, she opened the box and immediately it put her in even a better mood. She was so tickled at Richard’s picture sleeping with the bunny ears that Maya took of him with her cell phone. Dona E asked where did the bunny ears come from and Maya told her it was Abby’s. (See Dona E, Maya is fun to be with. Now you could see why she is so endearing right? She is a perfect daughter in law Weeeeee!) When Maya answered, she mentioned “Ser Chief” so it prompted Dona E to tell her she noticed, Maya calls him that. Maya explained to her how that TOE came to life. Dona E was surprised that Richard answered a slam book. Dona E told her that she once called Don R “Sweetheart” but he didn’t like it. (Dona E, wait till you hear what Maya tried to call your son….they are crazy ones ha ha. We even had a TOE naming contest here at the forum but Kute is right. He looks, feels and most specially smells like a Ser Chief so Ser Chief it is!) Maya continues to tell Dona E that she tried calling him Babe (too common)Chiko for Chief Ko (Blech! me no likey) Buko for Buhay Ko (ummm No!) Dona E laughed and said he will really not like those names ha ha. Then she said Maya was so funny. (I think Dona E is really warming up to Maya, embracing her sweet manners and sincerity…This is Maya’s charm. No one could resist.)
Hangang hanga ako sa ‘yo! When do you find the time to write your transcription, complete with your sotto voce, and be up at the crack of dawn to get everybody going again on your road trip around California. Do you even sleep anymore? ha ha ha.

At the West Theatro meeting, Nikki was busy getting the group work assignments until Joey arrived. They embraced in excitement. Then Nikki asked if something was wrong noticing the look on Joey’s face. Joey tells Nikki that she does not know if this is a problem but she admitted that upon seeing Luke yesterday, she suddenly missed him. This came as a bit of a surprise for Nikki. Then Joey said that she was wrong for deciding to break up with him without thinking it over well and seeing what it is that she let go. (I’m glad you realized but I hope it isn’t too late yet.) Nikki listened intently and then she told Joey that Luke and Nicolo planned to court some girls at the university. This dampened Joey’s spirit and suddenly she changed the topic to the casting. Joey pretends everything is ok. (Joey I still root for you. Don’t lose hope.)
The scene changed to Richard and Don Say What (he is really so G R R R) in the car. Don Say What continues his talk with Richard. Richard is not happy. “All I am saying is that you have three kids and you have to think of their future.” Don Say What said. Richard asked him, “What does Maya have to do with this?” “A lot of things can happen. I am not being just negative. We don’t know what is going to happen. Maybe the two of you will make it, maybe you won’t. What will happen if she demands her share? What will happen if Maya demands her share?” (Really Don Say What…you have to say it twice? Stressing the point no? No you continue to make Richard fume. I could see the smoke coming out of his nose.) Don Say What said. “That’s not gonna happen” Richard replies. “How could you be so sure?” Don Say What said. Richard’s eyes roll. “Please, I just want to be clear. I don’t have anything against Maya. I just want you to remember that if worst comes to worst, at least we are sure that your children are taken card of.” Don Say What explains further (I want to smack you old goat! Boooo) Richard still does not buy it. He looks away showing his discomfort and dislike over what his father is saying. “I’m only looking after the benefit of your family.” Don SW continues. “Exactly Pa, THEY’RE MY FAMILY” Richard said in a true Ninja Warrior voice. Don SW couldn’t say anything. Richard is hecka mad. 
To continue the audition scene at the university, Luke and Nicolo were congratulated by the Chuchua Chicks of the Glee Club. They have made the cut and now are officially members of the club. The head Chuchua girl tells Nicolo not to eye her because she already has a bf but points at Ange and Chessica to stress that they are available. (Is that how the hook up starts at the university now? Wow, subtle hints but effective to the newbies such as Nicolo who seems girl crazy after his stint with Aira and Luke who is still unsure of his feelings…seems like he is trying to put out the spark that is still in his heart for Joey.)
Doris: Pero malay mo di ba baka yun sinabi ni Sir Richard kanina at saka ni Don Roberto malay mo

now am off for 3 days so i will be having ample time to read all reviews. I’ve read your review before i wrote mine..It’s a very good summayr of today’s episode. I will just mention one part lang sa summary mo. On the terms of endearment. .Honestly, parang di ko type that every time maya calls s.c ‘ser chief ko”..hindi na sweet pakinggan…mas sweet pa if “Ser chief nalang”..what do you think mareng winnie? 🙂
Hangsweet ng mag-bespren, duet! Nagduet na ang magbff. Maganda pala boses ni Niccolo. Si Luke well magsecond voice na lang siya. Joey naghihinayang daw dahil pinakawalan niya si Luke.
DR: ayokong maging negative what if you two don’t make it? What will happen if Maya demand her share.
Back in school, Luke was alone at the book store, Inigo sees him. Inigo asked where Nicolo was. Luke told him he is hanging out with the Chuchua girls at their hangout. Inigo was happy to hear they got in and are now a member of a club. He told Luke that he wanted to audition as well for the Glee club but decided to join TPUS instead which meant Theater PUS . Luke instantly gets the connection. They talk some more and in the end, Inigo invites Luke to try Mang Greg’s fishball. He told Luke he’ll treat him. (Wow Inigo….really….remember Nikki? If you stay a good kid like you really are, go for Nikki cuz Nicolo is turning out to be girl crazy lately ha ha)
Richard drops off Don Say What at the mansion. Sabel and Doris were at the front yard when they pulled in. They tried to greet Don SW but he ignored him. Richard did not acknowledge them either. He just called out to his father to tell him he is going back to the office. Dorbel sensed something is wrong.
Nikki was dismissing everyone at West Theatro casting call. Nikki tells them Inigo might be joining them tomorrow. She was leaving with Joey when Nicolo called her. She did not recognize the phone number because she erased his name from her address book. So her asked who it was calling. Nicolo identified himself and asked her why she didn’t know. “Did you erase my name from your phone book?” he asked. Nikki dodged the question and Nicolo went on to tell her the good news that him and Luke made it to the Glee club. This was to Nikki’s delight and excitedly told Joey the news. She told her that Luke was inspired by Joey. Then Nikki was sorry that she said that. Joey said that it’s ok, she just wants her to tell Luke Congratulations.
At Lim Aviation, Richard was mad that he was not immediately informed about the Singaporean investors email regarding wanting a meeting in Singapore. He ripped Liza and Sonny a new one and ordered them to call the marketing team for a meeting at the conference room NOW…(smoke coming out of his nose) Lisa and Sonny were surprised at his reaction because he hasn’t done that in a long time. But off they go to get their CEO what he wants.
Hindi pala masyadong kontra si DR kay Mya, kaya lang talaga, PERA, PERA, at PERA ang issue nya.
Tomorrow ang “away ng mag-ama”
Hmmm too early pa daw to talk about marriage sabi ni SC. Was he just saying that or he really meant it?
At the conference room, Richard orders the Marketing team to fly to Singapore immediately to meet with the investors. He dismisses them. Then he gets a call from Maya. Maya tells thim her and Dona E just made it back to the mansion. You could hear Dona E in good spirits saying in the background that she learned a lot about him that she is sure he wouldn’t tell his mom. Richard asked Maya if everything is fine with her and his mom? Then he overhears Abby tell her about scaring Dorbel. Maya tells him they want him to come home early for dinner. She said her flight is not till midnight. Richard asked if they could just eat out instead? Maya said his mom and her are going to cook Kare-Kare and then Sabel is making Adobo because it is his father’s favorite. Maya asked him quietly if there is a problem? Richard said no. (ummm Maya, he is not liking his Dad right now.Smoke is coming out of his nose) After some convincing Richard was left without a choice but to say he will be home early to have dinner.

Dorbel were so happy to see that Maya is getting along really well with Dona E. Nikki is browsing FB to see about any updates from Nicolo. She thinks he is too busy courting other girls at PUS. Luke barges in the door and tells her that him and Inigo are in good terms now. Nikki said she knows because Inigo called her. Luke teases her that she got tickled pink? Nikki said no. She acknowledges that Inigo is cute but he isn’t her type. She likes Mallows. Who’s Mallows Luke asks? Don Roberto is excited over the Adobo. Nikki was excited over the Kare-kare. Maya asks how their day went. Don Say What tells Maya they only talked about some business ventures. He tells Richard that he should consider it because there is big money to be had. Richard tells his father it isn’t all bout the money. His father told him there is nothing wrong about wanting more for your children looking straight at Richard. Richard answers there isn’t any problem about that unless it goes against the happiness of one’s family….(Whoaa watch out Don Say What…)

I can say na SC meant it,but not because wala syang intensyon na tuluyan si Maya. Too early kasi para kay SC nagsisimula pa lang si Maya na tuparin mga pangarap nya. Marami pang dapat gawin si Maya at di ba sabi nya ayaw nya madaliin si Maya. Gusto ni SC pagdaanan lahat ni Maya ang dapat sa buhay. Hindi yung dahil si SC eh pamilyado na at na experience na nya halos lahat eh i deprived nya si Maya sa life experiences.
Hindi ako masyado ninenerbyos dito kay DR. Mas kinabahan pa ako kay DE. Kasi kay DE, hindi mo makitaan na mag react negatively si SC. Unlike dito kay DR very obvious ang galit ni SC at makikita mo talaga na ipinagtatanggol nya si Maya.
Idagdag pa na mismo from DR ang nagsabi na hindi sya against kay Maya. Pera pera lang talaga issues nya at alam nyo ang Chinese…iba sila.
I think he meant it in a good way,,, we all know na ayaw nyang madaliin si Maya, and since technically they are just starting pa so it’s still a bit early pa for marriage… which means, extended ulit sila, yehey!!!!

You brought up some very good points. Senior Lim totally operates from the business perspective. Junior Lim apparently has gotten a good grasp
in balancing his analytical personality with his emotional vulnerability. Hence the inevitable conflict between father and son. I believe Manang Fe encouraged Richard to have a “heart” to soften and to compliment his inherently “brainy” personality. You are right that we don’t really know what happened when he married Alex and what cause their estrangement. One thing that I am sure of, however, is that Richard refused his parents financial offer to get his business started. He wanted to prove to himself, with his wife’s support, that he can succeed on his own and not rely on his parents at all.
I thought I’d be a devil’s advocate for Don Roberto when I posted my comment. There are two sides of the coin, after all. Stimulating our minds to think of the various possibilities of what motivates the old man to think the way he does, I believe, is exactly what the writers want us to do. I think that they don’t just want us to be entertained. They want to engage our thought patterns. They want to challenge us. They want us to be moved. I think they succeeded in doing just that. We simply just read through this forum to see how the viewers are affected by Don Roberto’s seeming insensitivity to Richard’s feelings.

DR’s stance on the relationship and his concerns especially with the money issue are very real, albeit disheartening to most fans of SC and Maya myself included.
I like the way SC is showing how to respectfully contradict his parents opinions and at the same time fight for what is important to him which is Maya.

That maya did not accept the Bonus that S.C wanted to give her, after abby’s birthday.she told s.c that “kung tatanggapin ko yan, para na rin binabayan nyo ang aking pagmamahal sa pamilya nyo” ( this is not exactly the words pero parang ganito ang line..) and to think na maya was still abby’s yaya that time.she could have accepted the money as a bonus. which was okay lang normally..but maya thinks beyond money. because there are things money can’t buy, like LOVE. 2:) Maya did not agree with S.C na hindi na lang babayaran ni maya ang utang nya kay ser chief nung nagging sila na. She insisted she should pay her utang to set chief…Don Roberto..you should know this..
well. let’s see what happens..
I’m just loving the twist of the story. at least it gives us naman time be annoyed..hahaha..kasi last week..it was all HAPPY AND KILIG moments.
I also like how things are turning on the teens side..luke nikki nicolo and joey. In fairness..nicolo has a good singing voice.:)
On another note:
Now that Richard Yap is the new product endorser of nissan in the philippines, will we be expecting that set chief will be driving a new nissan in the coming episode (kahit naka bmw na say)..hahhaa..just thinking.
