Haay Maya…. never give up lang talaga ang peg.
Kinausap ni Kute ang mother ni Ron Ron. Kaya pala may attitude si ron ron wala din ang tatay nasa abroad. Kulang siguro sa pansin ng tatay.
Mas disappointed si Ser Chief kesa kay Maya sa pangsnob ni Don Roberto sa lunch invitation.
SC visited Atty Ryan for a boy talk. Sabi ni Atty Ryan affected si Maya sa awayan SC at DR. It means mahal ni Maya ang parents ni SC.
Balak puntahan ni DE yong orphanage. Yehey… tuloy and cowboy costume birthday party.
PERSPECTIVE
Things or circumstances happen for some underlying reasons but depending on our outlook towards life, we can come up with many reasons to be downhearted, dejected, depressed all masking in negative attitude… or better yet we can see situations happening as good thing or for a good intent or simply blessings in disguise for even though we might not see it right away, life might just surprise us in the end… and that’s positive attitude. For really, life is merely a matter of perspective… for how we see life is how life will set things for us.
Richard and Maya had not been able to have lunch with DR as planned which greatly disappointed Richard with his Papa once again. Maya on the other hand, calmed him down stressing that his Papa was just busy with another meeting. While they weren’t able to have lunch, they were able to leave the food behind with DR which made their goal half successful, a victory just the same. Maya kept reassuring SC everything was okay and to not feel bad for it’s just their first attempt and there would be other instances next time around… there’s the possibility of dinner… or perhaps breakfast the following day and on and on… This is where the difference lies between Maya and Richard, for while Richard saw not having lunch as a rejection, Maya saw it as victory… a small victory; while he viewed DR’s reaction as negative, she viewed it as something positive, a welcome of sorts… for more gestures to come; and while he saw DR as closed-minded, she saw that tiny crack of acceptance… a small opening, hope.
For just because we fail once, doesn’t mean we’re going to fail at everything… the idea is to keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in ourselves… believe in better days… simply believe that things will be better. So while we are all at it… keep heads high, chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about. Every day is a new beginning – may we all treat it that way… may we all stay away from what might have been… rather look at what can be.
May we emulate Maya’s mantra in life… to simply put – “When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile.”

SC: The one that Maya cooked… didn’t you even taste it?
DR:………No, before you get mad hear me out. I did tasted it but I, frankly I didn’t
realized it was steak… lasang adobo. I enjoyed eating eat even Probo.
SC: Haa! Adobo.
Lasang adobo daw an bistek ni Maya, sabi ni DR Adobo!!!! Sana di na lang sinabi ni SC na bistek yun…kaya naman pala sobra sa reaction si DR sa steak akala adobo
Yun niluto ni Maya maski si Nanay Tere sabi kapag nagluoto si Maya ng steak lasang adobo pati si NT alam nyang lasang adobo kung magluto ng steak si Maya.
HW sis, as we say better late than never… or rather better late than lost… your take on today’s episode is short, concise and straight to the point… Truly, Maya and Richard are both lucky to have friends who will tick with them thru thick and thin… who will give advise as objectively as possible and who would tell them nothing but the truth even when the truth may hurt at times… no sugar coating… no pleasing them just plain truth for they need friends that are true and would see not only the good but more so the bad and give feedback so they can be better individuals… Thank goodness for friends indeed…

SUPPORTIVE FRIENDS
Life’s challenges become more manageable when one has a reliable and supportive friend. Somehow, the stress that life’s trials bring become more bearable when there is a ready ear to listen and a firm shoulder to lean on. This episode shows that our main characters have such friends that they can count on.
Maya is fortunate to have a bosom buddy in Emman. Emman is not just her roommate but also her cheerleader and her sounding board. When she is happy, he shares in her joy and celebration. Ryan is not merely a college friend nor just a drinking buddy but a very good friend to Richard. He is his most trusted confidante and an objective adviser. Greetings! My real life has essentially taken over hence the late post and maybe more erratic participation in the future. Nevertheless I will be with you in spirit. I will still be watching the episodes but my schedule might not allow me the luxury to write a review and post a review. So pasensya na.

Oh well, I’m just glad how Kute handled the situation regarding Cho. It’s best to talk to the bully’s parents first before consulting the authorities. Some parents take offence when they weren’t even told about what their kids are doing prior to informing the school officials.
It’s an okay episode. I just started laughing when Don R told Sir Chief that the beefsteak Maya cooked tasted like adobo…lol. Two thumbs up Maya for effort. Hopefully tomorrow we get to see what Nikki is wearing and the family dinner where Don R either conveniently forgot to add Maya to the reservation or Maya doesn’t count as family to him like Sir Chief and children does.
I have been in the US ever since I was 14yrs old and I am now 38yrs old. I went to the Philippines twice to visit my Lola and relatives. I wonder is there really such person as “Sir Chief” to Maya. It’s hard to believe nowadays when it comes to ligawan. I like Sir Chief’s style when he was courting Maya. He’s so sweet and considerate although sometimes dense…lol. One of my favorite episodes are Episode 208 where Sir Chief took Maya to PUS and what a perfect date night and Episode 214 where he talked to Nanay Teresita about him and Maya. He had where he told Nanay Teresita how he took time to get to know Maya…who she is and what she is…sigh!
well, at least when the Don said it tasted adobo, guess he did eat it. As Nanay Teresita said, when Maya cooks steak, it would taste like adobo. At least Don Roberto, paborito niyo adobo di ba!
Nikki is being maneuvered by Nicolo making sure hindi sila magkasama ni Inigo. Hay naku, Nikki, follow Emman’s advice and focus on your goal which is for your kuya and joey.
Finally, another step taken to close the issue of Cho and Ronron – hopefully it gets a positive result.
SC, thank you for concentrating on Maya. More quality time ng kayo lang and less with the family para hindi na masaktan si Maya.

maya should concentrate something else like arranging the cowboy party
for sir chief not as a indian chief but like a lone ranger. it was proven before
that she was very good in organizing the birthday party with her “alaga”
before. it was a phenomenal success.
adobo is our national dish and should not be interchanged with bistek.
i am not a good cook myself but i have tried before and my adobo has turned
to nilagang manok. too much water. i wonder myself why my children don’t care
to touch my specialty. i will stick on the playing music because i would never
be a good cook.
everybody knows adobo, sinigang, papaitan, kare-kare etcin my work, my american
co worker asked me, “willand, do you want to bring you adobo or sinigang from food truck?”
Don Roberto has been accustomed to american dish that he thought that maya dish was
best steak not bistek (he has hard hearing problem).
after it was triggered by yamaguchi unintentional rumor about robbing the chief,
it was seconded with bistek ala adobo. a big minus points again.
no wonder why Don Roberto dislike her.
he is showing his displeasure by popping up his eyes. very expressive indeed.
which side are you?
as a father, you are concern that the inheritance will be divided among the children
and the new wife to be. no matter what you think, he is a good catch. very stable
with it comes to wealth. maya is an exception for she doesn’t care about his
property but it is not always true in the real life. there are women who are after
only the inheritance. it has happened to one of our relatives. this is what Don
Roberto concern about. can you blame him?
richard and maya are so in love that nothing gonna change their love to one
another. richard is willing to share his inheritance to all he ever care about,
to maya and the children. at the end of everything, only the two of them that
matters.
if it would happen to you, how would you decide?
would you care for the welfare of your children first or your own happines
notwithstanding the outcome?
this is the reason why most of us are so in love with the story. it can relate
to one of us in some other way.
lastly, i’ve forgotten the meaning of mink and monk. seems very synonymous with
the words like in the plural term to minkies and monkies. i wanna know.

Ha ha ha on sharing the IN vs ON incorrect usage.Personally, I will have a pre-nup done. That would solve all of this problem between DR, SC and Maya. Both SC and Maya should sign one, just to be fair. Then, the couple will have shared ownership on assets they will accumulate together, henceforth. In our story, I don’t think Maya is unwilling to sign one. Si Maya pa!

Hello Willand, thank you for hour post. At least nandito ka. Nakakarawa naman yong experience ninyo sa plane. I remember tuloy yong “lets just eat outside” ni Ser Chief which is the literal tranation of kumain tayo sa labas.
Anyway, regarding ur question naiintindihan ko ang point ni Don Say What pero ang problema para sa akin e he didn’t even gave himself anchance to get to know Maya before he judged her. Para bang nilump in niya si maya sa kategory ng babaeng manghuhuthot. If he knew maya he would know that isn’t how Maya is. Besides doesn’t he trust hus son’s judgement? For gooseneck sake she lived with them every day. Doesn’t he think Richard got to know her and her ways? O sige sabihin na natin na hindi objective si Ricardo kasi in live pero bakit hindi niya tanungin ang trusted super yaya ni Richard na si manang Fe. Doesn’t her opinion hold water? Mali si Don Say What because of that.
Re: prenup i also think maya will sign it anytime pero parang sinampal na naman siya ulit ng pamilya ni Richard. How many times are they going to beat up this woman? That is so impersonal and treating marriage as if it isn’t sanctified. You get married because you want to stay with a person forever until death do u part and not get married until we fight and hen we break up so to be sure, lets sign this piece of paper. Sobra naman na yon.
As for the case of Ron-Ron, I guess the lesson here is not to judge the book by its cover. Sometimes, may mga rason bakit ang isang tao ay nagkakaroon ng mga ganyang actuations. Si DR kaya meron din??? Is Maya justified when she says sila na lang ang umintindi kay DR? Kelangan ba itolerate o does DR have to compromise his views??? Yan ang tanong!!
Writers and directors you really are the best, you delegated the story in a manner that we the, audience feel that we are part of the show.
We felt bad if the main characters were oppressed we either cry or call names to the oppressor. We have good vibes if the story shows that our main characters are happy.
I live in Canada for 40 years now, but this is the first teleserye that I really fall in love so much.,the story, all the cast especially the main characters Jodi Sta Maria, and Richard Yap. Hope they will be pair again in the movies soon.(Sir Chief & Maya) Love you much both, it gives me good feelings all day after watching, BCWMH.Being retired now and for a few years its really so boring but you guys give me all the reasons to laugh,and have good vibes the whole week.

I agree with you that Maya just need to be herself but I think that Don R realizes Maya is a good person and appreciates what she does with the family. The only issue with him is he does not want Richard to be serious about his relationship with her to a point that he marries her because then the issue of inheritance and money becomes front and center in his mind. That’s just what I think.

In today’s episode, the good vibes are with Ser Chief and Maya, Maya and Nanay T, Maya and Kute not to mention Niknik and Ehman and Mallows and Niknik. Maraming good vibes if you open your eyes to it. Right now its best to focus on the positive.
I also think that Richard proves his love for Maya time and time again otherwise he would not be upset with his own father. He would not need to talk to Ryan about anything and most of all, he would not be taking her out to dinner with flowers and all. Again, focus on the positive.

I noticed this too.
I guess it’s a sign that the story is coming to an end. I’m betting that the writers will once and for all give closure to the mystery of Mang Arturo before the series ends (or as people would like to think, before Book 1 ends)
Of course, Maya is a character who’s supposed to be oozing with positive vibes and what a way to complete her being by having her long-lost dad enter the story.
Everybody happy — Maya gets to achieve three major things in her life:
1. Become a successful FA
2. Marry the man of her dreams
3. Finally reunite with her dad
September would be a good month to end this series. Then again, I heard that there will be a Book 2. So let’s see about that

The charity institution and the orphanage reminds me of how Jodi actually celebrated her birthday. She did just that. She went to an orphanage and gave away gifts. Haaayyyy bait talaga ng JSM/Maya.

Sorry po sa ka-OAyan ko regarding Luke and Joey. No offense meant to some people here na fan nila. Kahit anong makeover physically, bland lang talaga ang dating sakin ni Joey. Para tuloy siyang playing a role dito…playing dress up. It does not look natural at all. Personality po ang problem hindi fashion or makeup.
Oh well, writers trip nyo to eh so sige walang basagan ng trip PERO TALAGA HINDI KO FEEL ANG RECONCILIATION NA YAN!
HW sis, as we say better late than never… or rather better late than lost… your take on today’s episode is short, concise and straight to the point… Truly, Maya and Richard are both lucky to have friends who will tick with them thru thick and thin… who will give advise as objectively as possible and who would tell them nothing but the truth even when the truth may hurt at times… no sugar coating… no pleasing them just plain truth for they need friends that are true and would see not only the good but more so the bad and give feedback so they can be better individuals… Thank goodness for friends indeed…

CLOSURE
Sometimes, in every person’s life, love knocks into one’s heart, one falls in love and everything’s seem rosy… happy… heavenly. Until something happens and no matter how strong the love is, the other person decides to leave and the feeling (love) one feels strongly is no longer reciprocated… the relationship no longer meant to be. The hardest and saddest part in a relationship is when it ends and yet even more difficult when one is unaware of the reason/s why it has to end. It’s tough alright, but is it possible to let go of someone we really love and find it in our hearts to recover from all the hurt? Apparently yes… with the time, it is indeed possible.
After Joey and Luke’s messy breakup, the pain had been intense and unbearable that Luke had a hard time coping with the break up not knowing where he may had been amiss, where he had made the mistake or thinking if he ever did make mistake in handling the relationship. He had been too clouded that while he loved Joey deeply, he resented her, taking him some time to recover and yet when everything seemed back to normal, just as he had moved on and accepted that the relationship was no more, he accidentally bumped into Joey that brought painful emotions and memories of a relationship gone sour.
Closure means finding resolution to the situation, but not just mere closure but finding a healthy closure where both parties can freely talk about what went wrong, appreciate the things that went well and hopefully learn a thing or two from the from each other and experience and move forward… finding in each others hearts to becoming friends… sharing and enjoying the good and coming out better individuals in the end.
As Luke and Joey sat down and talk things thru before the start of Joey’s gig, they finally put the much needed closure to their relationship. They had time to reminisce and cherish the good, discuss their current feelings, and finally their views and sentiments about the two of them and how the future holds for them both. At the end of the day, closure can teach us why our relationships didn’t work out, and eventually paving the way with letting go of the ex. It can help us learn from the mistakes done and helps us thru the healing process by setting our minds at ease about how the relationship unfolded. Even if we made mistakes and were part of the reason the relationship failed, closure can make us stronger in the end by preparing us for future relationships. As one relationship ends, life does go on… and past love and failed relationships are mere stepping stones to something or someone better. After all, love is not always about fixing something that is or had been broken… for maybe, just maybe it’s all about starting over and creating something better. In the end, it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

I am glad that someone covered this angle between Luke and Joey. It is interesting to see how their friends conspired to set them up again and it seems like they failed when they couldn’t find either one of them only to discover that they had planned to meet anyway. ha ha ha.I thought that the creative writers did a great job allowing Luke and Joey to express their feelings through their respective songs. Both songs were carefully chosen for their messages. And even if they are saying goodbye in their song, to me, it seems they are actually communicating that this goodbye is not forever. Tama lang naman that they don’t tie themselves to each other. After all, they are still young and they still have a lot to learn about life and about love. Granted they can learn just as much together, but they will be more uninhibited and more free when they are not hampered by an existing relationship.Thanks for your review and your insights on this.

Kute to the Rescue of Cho
Nikki comes down the stairs in this cute printed skirt with a plain white top and matching vest outfit. She looked real appropriate for the gig at Strings. Dona E was pleased and wanted to take a picture. Nicolo stood next to Nikki to be in the picture. When Luke counted it down to take the photo, Nicolo put bunny ears on Nikki (Nicolo is such a goof ball) After that, the kids left. In San Nicolas, Cho was waiting for Kute to come home. She went to talk to Ronron’s Mom. Cho was excited to know what happened. Kute told him that Ronron’s mom is exactly the opposite of him. She is so nice and sweet she couldn’t hurt a fly. Kute’s conclusion is that she needs to be stricter with Ronron in order for him to become obedient to her. Kute realized how lucky she is to have Cho as her child. She then sat Cho down to remind him that no one has the right to hurt him and next time he has trouble like that, he needs to tell Kute right away. Cho said that he didn’t tell her at first because she is too busy. Kute reiterated to Cho once more that he is her first and foremost priority regardless how busy she is. Cho promised that he would not hide things from Kute and Papa Pards anymore. Kute mentioned to Cho not to bother his father right now because he has some trouble at work. (Yep, he is married and has children and having an affair with a guy…I say he is in deep trouble….ha ha)
We’re Fine Now
At the mall, Luke, Nicolo and Nikki met up with their friends. Together they all went to Strings. Once inside, Nicolo’s plan was followed. Nikki found a table by the door and she kept Luke there for as long as she could until Nicolo comes back. When Nicolo, Stacey and Jam approached he band, they asked where Joey was. They said they didn’t know. They thought she might have gone outside. At the front table, Luke excused himself to the restroom. Nikki asked Louie to follow him to the restroom because she couldn’t go. Nicolo came back with Stacey and Jam and told Nikki that Joey seemed to have gone outside. At this time, Louie comes back from checking the restroom and he tells them Luke wasn’t there. Nikki and Nicolo went outside to see if they could find Luke and Joey. Sure enough they were there at the bench and talking. To Nikki’s excitement, she grabbed Nicolo and suddenly realized she is holding his arm. She let go of it and they started to observe the two. At the banch, Joey and Luke talked. They both said that when they saw each other, they both felt different. They both felt that what they had in the past was fun and they loved each other but not anymore. They seem to want to remain friends because they are special to one another. They promised each other that if someone were to court Joey, she would let Luke know because he wants to make sure she didn’t fall for just anybody. Likewise, Joey wants to meet the girl Luke is going to court so she could size her up. (*sigh young love….I wanted them to get back together because I think there is still a spark) When Luke and Joey wrapped their arms around each other Nikki couldn’t help but squeeeeee! They heard her and even though her and Nicolo tried to escape, Luke and Joey caught up with them. Luke told them he knew they were in cahoots with the others to get Joey and him to talk. Joey said that all the while, Luke and her agreed to talk already because Luke and her texted each other the night before. They told Nikki and Nicolo that they are ok now as friends.
Mas cute talaga ang NicNik! Better off as friends ang drama nitong si Joey and Luke….sabagay baka mas may chemistry nga kung friends lang kayo.

luke and joey are more or less at peace to say what have been
in their minds. it would be the question of why they have broken up in
the first place anyway which have been left unsaid until now. although
feelings are still there but they’ve compromised to be just friends instead
of having a relationship then be dissappointed to separate again.
matured enough to know that they have a long future way ahead
of them. they have made a closure and they have moved on.love is perennial like grass.
we have fallen in love and lost so many many times that we could
remember. we’ve found out that love is always there no matter how
many times you fail. romeo and juliet could have found somebody
if they did not take their own lives. but that would be another story
or there will never be no movie about it. although luke and joey’s
permanent closure to their relationship, they discover that another one

The scene in the restaurant with SC and Maya is full of love .I can feel that SC is truly in love to Maya. Supper kilig ako sa tinginan nang dalawa.

It’s almost two weeks that Maya is trying hard to reach out to DR but it’s getting worse than expected. Emotionally, this is too much for her to deal with. Richard said it doesn’t matter if his parents will not approve of their relationship. He loves Maya and so are his kids and that is the most important thing. He’s financially stable and doesn’t need support from his parents if ever they decided to be together. It’s normal that parents always think about the future of their children. In this case it’s different, both Richard and Maya are capable of bringing the best for them. Maya is hardworking and she doesn’t really need Richard’s money to buy what she needs.
Don Roberto’s contrabida role is too long already. We’re getting bored on DR emotional torturing to Maya. Please give Maya a chance this time to spend time with her family in San Nicolas. Maiba naman ng venue. We also miss Abby.
Kaya nga nakalimutan ni SC ang pang chef na attire niya. I like the episodes yesterday and today…chill lang… GV…di man ako makapagreact ng todo at least magaan ang loob ko. Goal achieved!

Pabalik-balik kasi ang problema ni Maya. halos every member na ng family ni SC nagkaproblema siya kaya parang predictable na tuloy ang plot. kahit ako hindi na masyado atat manood, kasi alam ko kahit late man ako manood, andun pa rin ang problema ni Maya. kung baga wala namang magandang surprise so kahit sa replay na lang ako manood okay na. kaya siguro di na masyado nagreregister sa survey kasi sa replay na lang nanonood ang iba and not necessarily from iwanttv.
Naintindihan ko rin ang mga writers, mahirap gumawa ng plot kung walang patayan, inggitan at sabunutan.
Pero what I miss from the previous episodes are the comedic/comic instances in the episodes. kasi kahit sabihin na natin napapahiya si Maya o pinapagalitan siya dati ni SC, yung mga comic expressions niya ang nagpapagaan ng scene eh. I think dapat ibalik nila ang nakakatawa sa kanilang equation para hindi masyado maggiging boring ang mga episodes.
It’s Richard’s Turn to Cook
At the restaurant, the waitress brought a small pot to the table and signaled for Richard to turn on the burner. Maya was surprised that Richard seems to be the one to do the cooking. She teases Richard to say that he couldn’t cook since he burned the popcorn. Maya said that one more second and the popcorn would be singed. Richard reminded Maya that at least his popcorn, even if it is burned, still tastes like popcorn not like Maya’s steak tasting like adobo. (Waaaaa! You are hitting below the belt Richard) Maya asked who said? Richard said his father did. Maya laughed and said, “Well at least he tasted it.” They both laughed. Then Richard said, “Seriously, Maya I would like to thank you for everything that you are doing for me, the kids, my mother and even for my Dad.” “Don’t worry my Ser Chief, we will get into Don Roberto’s good graces eventually. Even if I have to cook steak that tastes like adobo everyday, I will do it.” Maya answered. They both laugh. (Oh my G, Maya is really so positive.) Maya designates Richard to be the cook tonight. No taking back, Maya said. Richard agreed. Then they show all the veggies, shrimp, chicken, beef and other leafy greens to add to the pot for soup. Maya asked if others are coming? Richard said no, just him and her. Maya thought there might be more people coming because there were so many ingredients. Richard tells her he is giving himself room for mistakes. Maya told Richard not to worry, no matter how the food tastes, she will eat it so long as Richard would take her to the hospital if she gets food poisoning. Richard laughed and said for Maya not to under estimate him. He took off the lid of the pot, which by this time is already boiling. Maya said it smells good. Richard uses his chopsticks and said that he will put the vegetables first putting in the mushrooms and then a heart shaped something and then some strips of beef. (I would think the protein should have been in the pot first because it takes time to cook the meat.)
WHAT IS LOVE?
There are as many answers to this question as there are people with various cultural, historical, economic, religious and political backgrounds. The answer generally echoes what they have experienced in their lives, thus far. Hence, when the question, as printed in the slam book, confronts our characters, the answer unwittingly becomes a woven thread into the colorful tapestry in the story of this romantic drama.
When Maya randomly reads through the questions of this well-known adolescent book, which aims to get to know peers in a non-threatening way, she inevitably reads the slam book question to Richard, which he is supposed to answer. At the time, he is visibly irritated that he is actually being asked these silly questions that teenagers normally ask each other. Thankfully, his friend and co-worker, Fred, is on hand to answer most of the questions so that he does not have to. However, when it comes to this question on how he defines what love is, Richard finds he is mercifully spared from answering such an embarrassing question because the minute she asks it, Maya immediately realizes that the question is totally inappropriate to ask of an employer. Thus, as quickly as she asks the question, she rapidly backpedals by answering the question herself.
What is love? According to Maya, it is like a rosary, full of mysteries. For the non-Catholic viewers among us, there are three mysteries that are prayed with the rosary beads: the joyful, the sorrowful and the glorious mysteries. These mysteries represent the events in Jesus’ life from birth to His death on the cross. Each of the mysteries list five major events that took place in his life. Applied to our drama and the life of Maya, the joyful occasions are the happy moments that occurred in her life such as securing employment in the Lim household, successfully helping Abby discover her voice again, her attending school, being able to financially support her family and loving Richard. The glorious events that punctuated her life thus far is realizing her dream of becoming a flight attendant, working for Time Airways, knowing that Richard loves her, being formally introduced to the world by Richard that she is his girlfriend and being accepted by his children as his significant other. The sorrowful events are when she lost her father, Kute falling off the ladder, discovering that the overseas recruiter duped her and has absconded with her money, realizing that Richard doubts her integrity and his children’s difficulty in accepting her as their father’s girlfriend.
Although Richard’s father is ambiguous, at best, in his stance in Maya as Richard’s intended, she refuses to let it affect her deportment. Her alacrity of spirit allows her to withstand the seemingly harsh treatment that Don Roberto is showing her. Instead of being frustrated and entertaining unhealthy thoughts, the most recent events have triggered more of her fighting spirit. The challenge gives her more confidence, fuels her determination, strengthens her resolve and makes her grateful for the realization that her joy is indeed complete when everything that she could ever want now is right by her side. She knows that with Sir Chief, she can face anything that life throws at her. Whatever mysteries unravel before them, she knows that together, they will face them head on.
Masyado nang mahaba ang 2 weeks, pwede na one week na conflict. I also miss SC’S tiger mode, and the wow mali na MAYA. Hit and miss ang fashion ni Maya. Lalo na yung sweater at white dress na pang-losyang!
Pag may dumating na matinding karibal- yung super ganda, bait at mayaman. Mas okay para mag-evolve si Maya. Wish ko lang proposal na ang ang kasunod at mabuntis si Maya. O ano kaya dahilan at mag-propose na si SC?
Sana they would end this particular story but not the tandem of the two. Parang yung mga stories sa EB na different roles and different scenarios pero SC and Maya pa rin in the lead roles coz let’s face it their chemistry works. I watched Dawn and RY in another teleserye but frankly, I don’t feel the chemistry between the two.
I think the tandem of Jodi and RY really works in a romcom setting so sana more of this. Di pa yata kaya ni RY magheavy drama eh kaya siguro di madama ang kilig pag heavy drama sa BCWMH.

Covering our children in prayer is the best thing we can do for them as parents. Blessing them when we tuck them in bed and before we send them off to school are also good habits to develop. These are sure ways of letting them know that they are very important to us.

I only used the rosary as a way to pull the light back on Richard and Maya. Too many distractions are going on around them. It is nice for them to get away so that they can also reflect on the reason why they love each other, appreciate each other and just have some quality time together. After all, they are essentially still in the “getting to know you” phase. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and commenting on it.

For all the effort, it seems that Luke and Joey were really going to sit and talk. Nicolo becoming aggressive in being with Nikki if he can get his way even getting his own way with the plan to make sure Luke and Joey will have a chance to talk. Being familiar and still a bit dense. I hope Nikki will not forget her promise to Sir Chief, not until college.
Joey can sing……maybe as of now Luke and Joey are okay with being friends, maybe in the future when they have enjoyed being just friends they will know if they are for each other or not. At least the air between them has been cleared.
Kute making Cho promise that there shouldn’t be any secrets between them, they are there for each other.
Dona E is putting in a good word but my reading with Don R is focused only on what he thinks is right – his side. It came from his own mouth that Sir Chief’s happiness is not that important…..Don R’s treat to the whole family stems from the premise of patching up with his son (implying that he is stepping back on his stand about Maya) Sir Chief took it as reaching out and because he has considered Maya as part of his family, hence the miscommunication in the lunch invitation, which is for tomorrow’s episode pa……
Maya is very understanding and is always looking at what is only good. So how will our dear Maya deal with this…..the teaser shows she knows, what will Dona E do to correct the obvious slight since she knows reservation was made only for six. Luke voiced out kulang ng isa……. I do not know if Nikki and Abby heard or noticed the discrepancy too….hay naku…..sana they just add another setting for the children’s sake. Sir Chief….cool ka lang ha you have to protect Maya at all times. Back to my guessing game…….

Back at strings, Joey takes the stage. She sings a ballad with lyrics that seemed appropriate for the situations of the teenage characters of the story and Maya and Richard as well. While she sings the song they show Maya and Richard having a great time with each other. They were eating, sipping soup and having a fun conversation. It is the first time I have seen Richard smile in five days since his tiff with his father. Maya did everything to make Richard feel happy for the moment. The teenagers enjoyed listening to Joey perform this song while Nicolo puts his arms around Nikki’s shoulder. Nikki enjoyed the moment.

At the end of Joey’s song, everyone clapped and congratulated her. Luke came to Joey and told her she sounded great. Everyone teased them and was egging them on to kiss. (I now what I heard both of you say but I think yall still care too much for one another. I think you two still love each other for sure.) They just laughed and when the music started, Luke asked Joey to dance. Everyone danced.

a capella. wow, i said to myself. what a voice. she did not waver or out of tune.
nina (singer) sang that song and it really sounded like her style.joey singing.
you and me are quite good listeners because we play some instruments and also sing.
the lyric is good but i don’t fancy how joey deliver the song. probably she is nervous
or she needs to have some tutoring in voice culture. but it is a good start for her. who
knows, she will improve someday.

A Dash of Salt
Back at the restaurant (they repeat Maya and Richard’s scene that they showed during Joey’s song but this time we could hear their conversation. I think the director wanted to save some scenes…didn’t want another take just for the singing portion…:0 ) Maya tastes Richard’s soup. She takes a sip, she tastes the meat a little and then eats some veggies. She makes a funny face. Richard asks her if it doesn’t taste good? She tells him she is teasing him. She tells him it tastes good. Richard was pleased. He took a sip of the soup and ate a vegetable. Then he stopped and told Maya that she must really love him. Maya asked why he said that. Richard said that if she could eat the soup and say that it tastes good, she must really love him because it doesn’t taste good. Maya laughed. Maya said it tastes good and only needed a little pepper, patis, and a dash of salt. Richard said he gets it. It doesn’t taste good but Maya and him eats it anyway.
Kiss and Make Up
At the mansion, Dona E and Don R are having dinner. She asks him how was his meeting? Don R said it went well. She asked if he is going to be able to buy the land now? He said yes. Dona E asked Don R “If that is so, why are you so sad?” Don R said he isn’t sad. Dona E said he isn’t smiling. So Don R faced her with a forced smile and pointed at his face then said, “Are you happy now?” (This man is crazy.) Dona E tells him to please make amends with his son. Don R said he is trying. Dona E said, he needs to try harder. She also said even Maya is trying hard for him and Richard. She said she knows that Maya cooked for him. She hopes that Don Roberto appreciated it. After all it hurt her when she learned she was the reason why him and Richard were having a fight. Don R told Dona E that he does appreciate Maya’s efforts. Dona E asked him if he told Richard. He said yes he did. Dona E let out a big sigh and said that she doesn’t want him and Richard to have problems while they are there visiting. Don R said it isn’t a big problem. They just don’t see eye to eye regarding one thing. Yes Dona E said, however, that one thing is what’s important to Richard. She is stressed out over it. Don R seemed aggravated and asked if they are going to have an argument over that? Yes, said Dona E. If he doesn’t reach out to Richard, she will be mad at him too. Ok ok Don R said. He will arrange something. Dona E said that it better be good because he owes his son. Don R just agreed to pacify Dona E.
Maya Finds the Goodness in Don Roberto
Back at the restaurant, Richard continues to serve Maya. She tells him she is so full she is truly done eating. She asked Richard if they could just take out the rest? Richard wondered why because he thought the food didn’t taste too good. Maya said she likes it. Maya tells Richard that he doesn’t have to do anything special for her. Richard said he has to because he feels bad over how his father has been treating Maya. She told him that’s all right. No harm done. Richard tells her that his father is insensitive sometimes. He apparently spends time on his business meeting with a lot of different people, getting on their good graces to get a good deal for his business. But for people outside his business, he treats them differently and that includes his mother. He takes her for granted. Maya said that maybe he does not purposely take his mother for granted. Maybe his interest in doing a successful business is his only way to show his Mom that he loves her. He wants to provide and give her a comfortable life. Maya also said that maybe behind closed doors they are sweet to one another just like her and Richard. He asks Maya if she thought he isn’t sweet to her when they are around other people? Maya said sometimes. Richard’s eyebrows rose. Maya thought that Dona E saw something in Don R that is why they got married and up to now they are still together. “I guess.” Richard answered. Then he asked Maya “How could you believe in him after the way that he’s treated you?” “Because he is your father. And I believe that there isn’t a father or mother that does not love their family. Yes, sometimes, they may do things that hurt us but I am sure they didn’t purposely hurt us. They probably think it is the only way they know how to do what’s best for their family.” Maya explained. “Like your father?” Richard asked. “Maybe.” Maya said.

with your love ones is the most romantic of all. teasing each other makes the food
palatable. acceptance of ones weaknesses is true love.

from the interview of boy abunda with richard, he confessed that his father did
not approve of the relationship between his fiancee and him until he went to
manila without the family support after marrying her. he worked with different
jobs until he was discovered to be a model (chow king cook) then an actor.
he had proved that not even his parents’ would stop him from marrying his girlfriend.
could this be a replay of his own true story?

Willand, yes Maya is beautiful and her transformation had been gradual from that provincial girl and very simple look to becoming this fashionista thanks to her fashion conscious fried Ehman and her training as FA and of course the fact that she now can buy and update her wardrobe thanks to her profession. But while she has updated her look to look more professional and stylish its still her inner beauty that shines and make her more beautiful than ever.
And I think, the real life of RY had been an inspiration to some of the aspect in the story although we don’t know to what extent the similarity had been…

A little knowledge I a dangerous thing. This phrase can mean so many things. In this case, BCWMH capitalizes on our interest in their story by dropping tiny bits of intrigue, leaving us to ponder what will, may, can and should happen next, getting us embroiled even deeper into the lives of their characters.
“What steak?”…. everyone reacted negatively to those two words, only to realize after a whole weekend, that the steak was just… ‘adobo in disguise’.
The nice thing about BCWMH is that it may not think we’re stupid, but they know we’re emotional so they know just where and what to tease us with and sure enough, we overreact.

Pero kasi dapat sa isang teleserye condensed version lang na dapat kakasya lang sa ilang oras ang storytelling. kung ang teleserye nga nililimit lang sa 3 buwan ang buhay para di magsawa ang manonood, 3 weeks out of the usual 12 weeks na runtime ng teleserye is too long for just one problem, would you agree? Kaya lang, di naman ako writer so anong alam ko. personal feedback ko lang naman ito, I don’t speak for everybody!!
At least yung BCWMH ang daming conflicts or problems na ang tinumbok, unlike yung majority ng teleserye, from beginning to end yung same problem pa rin pero bentang-benta sa Pinoy viewer.
YUng conflict sabi dun sa docu ni Che-Che Lazaro at least one week daw yung takbo pero kasi hindi the whole episode nakatutok dun kaya napapahaba tuloy.

Kung hindi kasi nila pahahabain yung conflict, kailangan pa nila magdagdag ng magdagdag ng iba pang conflict kasi di naman mawawala yun sa isang teleserye.

The shabu shabu date is so much fun. Sir Chief effectively proves to Maya that a pot shouldn’t be calling the kettle black! ha ha ha. It turns out that he is in the same boat as Maya. He can’t cook either. By the way, because the cut of meat that they serve in this type of restaurant is prime and thin, it cooks in seconds. So cooking the vegetables is the first order of business.Likewise, I thought Joey and Luke are sort of in denial, they still have a thing for each other, after all, first love never dies. So, maybe they will get resurrected in Book 2 or 3 or 4 or 5. Whenever!Nicolo definitely has feelings for Nikki. But her age and his friendship with her brother essentially prevents him from pursuing it. So, he is just biding his time and keeps his pretense that he is dense. Whatever!

Hmmm…interesting exchange of thoughts last night regarding the current plot, story progress, acting, and ratings of the show.
I will be brutally honest with my opinion. I respect the writers and I know how hard their work is but this is my point of view as part of the viewing public.
Let’s face it, the audience have already seen what they’ve aspired to see since the show began— Ser Chief has fallen inlove with Maya. The kilig factor is still there but not as exhilarating as when they were still not an item. Just like most men, the viewers are all after the “chasing” part. Now that the chase is over, all we’re waiting for is the beautiful ending which will surely be a wedding. The story has reached its saturation point. I sure hope the people behind the show won’t extend this too much anymore. As it is, the plot is suffering…even the characterization.
We don’t feel much of the good vibes anymore because the story had to evolve and touch on the more serious factors. Whatever is happening with Be Careful with My Heart is something that’s inevitable. Even the writers and staff reading through the pages of this thread I’m sure understand that.
They can only do so much to extend the show.
However, as a fan, I would want to remember this show in a good light. Not like any other show in the past where I just got bored of the plot or the actors I stopped watching all together. They should end this show while people are still interested and they’re still raking in bucks for advertisement.
It would be a sad moment when the show ends ( I personally prefer to end it as soon as September) but we still have the movie to look forward to right? It’s just a matter of how well they will market the movie even without the daily series.
Just my opinion. I don’t want this show to end just like most other series in ABS—- LAME.

Sana they would end this particular story but not the tandem of the two. parang yung mga stories sa EB na different roles and different scenarios pero SC and Maya pa rin in the lead roles coz let’s face it their chemistry works. I watched Dawn and RY in another teleserye but frankly, I don’t feel the chemistry between the two.
I think the tandem of Jodi and RY really works in a romcom setting so sana more of this. Di pa yata kaya ni RY magheavy drama eh kaya siguro di madama ang kilig pag heavy drama sa BCWMH.
Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata
Dona E was excited about lunch at the Royal Eats. Yes, said Don R. He is treating the whole family there for lunch. Abby and Nikki got excited over the thought of this lunch at Royal Eats. Richard calls up Maya and tells her that his Dad is treating them out to lunch. Maya was surprised. “I told you so.” Maya said. “It won’t be long before we get on his good graces.” Richard agreed. “Ok attorney you were right” He said. He is thankful that things seem to be ok with his Father now. (hmmmm slow down Richard…you don’t know what’s about to happen.) At the restaurant everyone started to take their place at the table and find that it is lacking one seat and one place setting. Richard is heard telling his father thank you for doing this for Maya. “Maya?” his Dad asked obviously never crossed his mind to even invite her. Dona E tried to straighten up the reservation but the waitress said that Don R’s reservation was only for six people. Maya was again left out of the equation. (So G R R R that Don Say What?)

VOLUME 24
279 Date Aired: August 7, 2013….Don Roberto treats the family for lunch. Pero kulang ata ang bilang.
Emote sina Kute at NT sa nakikita na family na kumakain sama sama.
Si Maya naglalambing na, si SC wala pa rin??? Si Maya palagi nag-iinitiate ng PDA sana si SC naman. Dag-dagan ang kilig please!!!
Family is Family
Our story starts today at the Chibugan in San Nicolas. Kute and Cho were serving an entire family having dinner. Cho was spewing out seven orders of rice for this person they have branded as “Boy Kanin” (The Rice Boy ha ha). Kute shushed Cho and reminded him that the guy does not know they call him “Boy Kanin”. (Ha ha But of course he gets the name from seven orders of rice ha ha can you imagine that? Bwahaha my sugar count will rise up to the roof. One extra unit of insulin for me if I could afford to eat seven orders of rice ha ha) But back to the story….Kute makes sure that the family has everything they need for dinner. Cho and her stand there and enjoy watching the family enjoy their meal when Nanay Teresita enters the room with a couple of plates of food. She sees Kute and Cho and reacts to them watching the family. Kute gets it and tells Nanay T that she isn’t having “a moment”. Kute reassures Nanay T that she is very happy with their family. She said that even if their family is incomplete, she is fully satisfied and will not exchange it for any other family in the world. They embrace each other and Mamang joins them. (*sigh…I really super duper love this family.)
Worried for Maya
At the mansion, Manang Fe, Doris and Sabel have their meal at the back room. In conversation, Sabel mentions that Don R is hard to figure out. Doris agrees. She says that at least with Don E, one could tell when she is happy and when she is angry. Sabel disagrees. She said sometimes she could look angry when she isn’t. Manang Fe tells them to take heed of what they are saying. Doris apologizes to her. Sabel tells her they are just worried for Maya. They don’t seem to see the end of her troubles with this family. Manang Fe just looks at them. I think she may be agreeing with them. Sabel suggests ways to help smooth out the situation but Doris is hesitant for fear her bangs will be in trouble if anything. (Ha ha These two are hilarious as heck and Manang Fe has a lot of tolerance with them because she knows they mean well.) Doris and Sabel looks at Manang Fe and asks her to find a way to talk to Don R on behalf of Maya since she is the one that is close to them. Manang Fe said that only Dona E and Ricardo have the right to talk to Don R. Doris and Sabel just took her argument.
Attorney Maya Advises Richard
Richard brings Maya home from their dinner date with their doggie bag in tow (wait….where are the sunflowers and Maya’s flight bag?) Richard wants to just drop off the food and then go someplace else (Ummm Richard gets down from the car this time and walks Maya all the way to the door of their apartment unit.) Maya said that it is late and the kids might be waiting for him. Richard said that it’s Friday night. There is no work the next day and the kids know he is with her (opkors Maya, Richard is 46 years old. If he stayed out all night, the kids have no say about that. He is a grown man for Pete’s sake.) Maya could see that Richard is making excuses. Richard retorts back and said that she is also making excuses. He said that if she didn’t want to be with him tonight, that’s fine (he is talking martian because he really wanted to hang out with Maya more). Maya teases him. She said he is making her feel guilty as she swipes her hand on his chin. “Just tell the truth that you just want to avoid your father.” Maya said. “I can’t hide anything from you can I?” Richard replied. Then his facial expression changed to more serious look. “I just don’t want to argue with him.” He said. Maya said, “That is easy…don’t argue.” Richard replied, “You know I can’t do that.” “Ok so just listen first before you contradict him. If you have to contradict him, don’t raise your voice because if you do, he will raise his voice and then you and him will be raising your voices to one another and you won’t understand each other.” Maya tells Richard as he takes in Maya’s advise. Then Maya continues to say “My Ser Chief, you have to relax. Don’t be hot headed.” She gives him a peck on the cheek and Richard is left without an argument. (Bravo Maya….you sure gave Richard a very sound advise in dealing with his father. But it is easier said than done. I have been in the same situation with my Mom and I can’t seem to remember not to raise my voice when I get defensive…oh and she is hard of hearing so definitely the raising of voice is all part of the conversation ha ha)
Mag uusap daw sina DR at SC. Inuwi ni Maya yong di nila nakain.
Emman: Are you sure this is edible?
Pero si Maya gusto nang umuwi, Si SC ayaw pa. sabi ni Maya ayaw niya lang makaharap papa niya.
Yun lang pag-uusap nila?? “Let’s go out tomorrow and I’ll treat the family to lunch” ?????? Kaya pala parang telegrama rin si SC mag-salita, nagmana sa ama.
Ayan lunch na daw sila…hala. wait lang tayo kung ano ang mangyayari.
The restaurant is very strict daw with the number of people..hala !
So SC and Maya has no choice but to leave???? Ang sama!!!!!But I think DR did not do it intentionally from his tone naman parang he remembered lang naman the kids eh. Oo nga naman, di pa naman talaga official na member ng family si Maya. Pero sana, he will apologize to Maya in the end.
I think, hindi lang talaga sinasadya ni Don Roberto na hindi naisali si Maya… and also he did not know that.

Evelyn: I have other information from RY’s interviews (SIR) and other sources. RY communcated with his mom and siblings after two of his marriage. His dad reconciled with him after their son was born. RY took two years of pre-med wanting to become a brain surgeon. His dad wanted him to take business broke up with his girlfriend. (he was still too young at that time) to appease his dad. He went to school in Manila. After graduation he returned to Cebu, there he met his wife. FYI

Sobra naman ang policy na yan!! Kulang sila sa chairs, ang cheap pala ng resto nato…nagtitipid pati sa chairs!! Pano kaya kung di nagkamali lang bumilang ang client. sisihin ang resto wag na lang si DR para problem solved.
Honest and Effective Communication
Everyone communicates in one way or another, but very few people have mastered the skill of truly effective communication. Breakdowns in communication occur all too often and usually lead to hurt feelings, resentment and anger. Communication is both an expressive and receptive process. Failure to communicate effectively can be due to a problem on either or both ends of the process or the people involved. Effective communication is actively listening to the other person, respecting their thoughts, feelings and ideas and supporting their cause in a way that will communicate love and understanding. There are three aspects to honest communication; truthfulness, sincerity and trust.
Don R and SC’s breakdown in communication has deep rooted issues, that stems back from the days of Alex. You can feel the tension between the two of them. Their communication is more business like, than father and son, which should have compassion, honesty and sensitivity. SC cannot be totally honest with his feelings towards his father, because there is lack of trust in the relationship. When you truly trust someone, you are not afraid to say what you want, because you know that person will respect how you feel and not cast judgment on you. Making another person, especially one who you care about, feel bad simply so you can demonstrate that you are correct is just not worth it. When in disagreement, we still need to assure them that they can rely on us to act on their behalf, and to protect them. We are obliged to reveal things that they may not see, but allow them to still make their own informed decisions. I would like to see both of them sit down and acknowledge to each other their repressed anger and hurt that has kept them from a close, loving relationship. Until then, they will continue to butt heads and never see eye to eye.
The Dela Rosa family is the perfect example of honest and effective communication. No matter how difficult a situation is, they communicate love, acceptance, and understanding with each other. They keep an open mind, and value the feelings of one another, more than being right. They put their relationships above all things, and never take each other for granted.
BCWMH, another episode of great value. Thank you for daily reminding us, that we have our FAMILY so that we can grow in happiness and safety, and so that we can learn to love others selflessly, which is the key to true JOY. Within the family is the best place to learn to love others the way God loves each one of us.

Back at the de la Rosa’s Kute is fanning Cho as he sleeps. (Wow, next time Maya sends you money you need to buy an electric fan…seriously.) Nanay T asked to relieve her from the task even though Kute said she is fine. Nanay T said that when she was raising Kute and Maya, she did it with the help of her mother and now, she wants to help Kute. (What a nice Mom you are Nanay T. ) Kute was thankful for her mother and appreciates her help.
At the mansion, Dona E waits at the front door for Richard as he pulls in the driveway. He greets his mother and asks if Nikki and Luke have made it home already? Apparently he received a dit di dit dit from Nikki telling him they are on their way home? Dona E said they have not made it home however, it seemed the car just pulled in the driveway at that moment. Luke and Nikki gets down from the car and greets them both. Richard asked how was the party? Nikki said it was fun. Luke thanks his Dad for allowing them to go. At this time, Don R comes out of the front door to join them. The kids greet him and at the same time say goodnight. They looked pooped from partying. After they left, Don R asked to talk to Richard. He said yes but he wants to change his clothes first (yep Don R. Richard has been cooking without an apron. Me thinks he smells like food.) With that, he leaves Don R and Dona E standing outside the front door.
Maya Eats Again
Maya brings out her doggie bag to share with Ehman (ha! I guessed that was what she was going to do with the left overs ha ha). I am surprised that she is eating once again. I don’t think she got full at the restaurant because she was busy bantering with Richard ha ha….With just one look at the food, Ehman asks whether it is edible. Maya said yes it is and to just go ahead and eat it. Ehman takes a spoon as opposed to a chop stick…obviously not knowing how to use it. He takes a spoon full and then hurries up to get a gulp of water. He said it was spicy. Maya apologized. She remembered that Ehman does not like spicy food. Maya explains that at the restaurant, she told Richard that it seems to lack some pepper. He added some but may have added a little too much (ha ha this is what we call “Palpak” in tagalog which means “epic fail”….but in fairness, Maya must really love Richard because she keeps eating the food he cooked even though it didn’t taste good…Waaaaa! I am tickled pink…) Ehman said he thought Maya’s Ser Chief was perfect but surprise surprise, he is but only human. Maya laughs. Ehman said that he is glad to see that Maya could still smile despite what they had for dinner and her problem with his Dad. Maya said, “Of course, Ser Chief is affected by all this. If I complain about this, who is going to help him with his problem?” (There…..you see. That is Maya’s reason why she continues to be positive about the problem with Don R. It isn’t all about being “over acting” as it is trying to be sympathetic to Richard.) “Richard is affected by it?” Ehman asked Maya. “Yes” Maya replied. “He is just not showing it.” Ehman continues to drink water because of the spicy soup.
Parang sobra yung pagkapisil ni SC sa kamay ni Maya, feeling ko durog ang buto. Nagsinungaling pa sila para makalayo na kay DR, but it’s okay, nag-date ulit sila.Sa may seaside ba yun??
But today, I’m thinking that maybe, it’s really time for the writers, editors, directors and the actors to take a break. The show is now on it’s 14th month. They are tired and it shows. There have been mistakes after mistakes recently that even the most avid of fans are devoting time talking and laughing about them. I’ve always given allowance for mistakes before, knowing how everyone in the show would work so hard to keep the show going, to keep us entertained. But I’m hurt when the quality of the show is now being compromised for whatever reason. I never thought I’d say this, but I’d like to see the DR episode end this week, proceed with the proposal and set the wedding for the end of the month. Let everybody rest, regroup for the movie, then come back refreshed for book 2.

Now that is one objective review that is well thought out. Likewise, I have noticed that fatigue seems to be evident in Richard’s countenance. He has been looking haggard, recently. I have already been bracing myself for the unavoidable ending of the show. I believe that the episodes that we are watching now are pointing to that inevitability. It will be much too soon for me. But I do agree. Everyone involved in the production of the show all need to rest and recharge so that they can come back refreshed.

DAMAGE CONTROL
In our everyday dealings, we make mistakes and our actions or decisions may intuitively affect another person even without our knowing for there are decisions we make or actions we do that no matter how unintentional may very well hurt those around us. And more often than not, we can’t make the embarrassing situation go away. It happened. Damage control is the only logical thing to do. Damage control from the word itself, is to control the damage of a given situation and eventually manage the wrong done be it physical, mental and more so emotional aspect.
At the restaurant, when everybody realized the mistake for the omission of one seat reservation, everybody tried to pitch in and offered solution/s… from DE to the kids, Luke, Abby and Nikki. And when DR upon talking with Richard realized the misunderstanding between them, straightened the issue and sought the assistance of the manager in charge to iron out everything and later apologized directly to Maya for what happened. DR was able to do some damage control right there and there and everybody especially the kids were just too happy that Lolo found the solution. Maya accepted the apology and let the incident go while DE was obviously upset of what had transpired and Richard was furious and fuming mad at his father for the oversight. And so the whole family including Maya proceeded with the order of the day – eat lunch. While everything seem to be back to normal, everybody except the kids knew that while the immediate issue had temporarily been averted, damage control still needs to be done on a much deeper context… adding to the gravity of the situation, a previous unresolved conflict between father and son.
Damage control has a lot to do with attitude. Within relationships, one needs to be sincere, explain the circumstances, be remorseful, seek forgiveness and move on and hopefully learn from the situation and be aware of such situation so when the same predicament occurs the next time embarrassments may be prevented.
As the saying goes to err is human… but making amends for the mistake done is a sign of maturity. Making amends means acknowledging that we’ve crossed a line with a family member, a significant other, a friend or even a casual acquaintance. And sometimes we end up making amends even when we know in our hearts we didn’t do anything wrong. Mistakes do happen and that can very well be the result of misinformation, confusion or a simple accident; but once revealed a mistake can upset the foundation of trust and create indifference, resentments and making amends in a mistake’s aftermath is one of the most important things we can do. For it helps us move beyond the confrontation and prevent the same mistake from happening again. It is the highest form of self-respect to admit our errors, our mistakes and make amends for them. And if we fail to make amends, the negative thoughts will only grow only to spread its tentacles farther. So, let us always make amends and do it the soonest time possible to cut animosity at the grass root level itself.
Let me share this saying to guide us each time we make a mistake or we’ve done something wrong to those we love… May we remember this saying – “The first to apologize is the bravest… the first to forgive is the strongest… the first to forget is the happiest.”

i would like it to continue but it seems the writers are at their wits ends already. but of
course the writers have their own way of twisting the episodes so that the kilig factor
would come back again.maya cannot be so saintly all the time. what i want is maya should show her human
dignity. remember when she was so mad with richard. she left him and went to san
nicholas. that she could not be pushed by anybody even her employer and also
hidden love toward him. she stood her ground telling him that “somosobra ka na.”
the kilig factor went up to the roof from all the viewers.
this would ignite the interest to all the viewers. i would like maya to give what she deserves,
RESPECT. even if she is not in their level, financially.
the writers should not drag the story like maya being so polite, humble and doesn’t
have any say of her true feelings. she cannot hide the bad feelings forever unless you
have to let go and speak up. it is time for maya to speak her mind not as a girlfriend
who is behind the back of sir chief all the time. we are not in the era of “mahinhin” maria clara.
it is women’s right to stand up and speak up.

Excellent highlight on active listening and good communication. Boy, can we all use a refresher course on this! Thanks for pointing out the fact the Luke omitted bodily contact with his Dad while he gave everyone else a hug. I noticed that too. I actually wanted to pull him back before he went into the house so that he can give his Dad a hug too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.NOTE: Writers can you take note of this glaring absence of physical touch between Luke and Richard? You are unwittingly sending mixed messages through this non verbal cue. Even just a simple tap on the shoulder, maybe, if the hug is too much.
I don’t want to believe na walang kilig nung naging sila na, kasi nang magdate sila sa secluded place at nagdance sila dun, diba kinilig pa rin tayo??? it’s a matter, I think of putting more of those scenes into the picture. Kagaya kanina, when SC reached for the hand of Maya kinilig pa rin ako kaso konti lang yung mga PDA na ganyan eh kaya wala masyadong kilig. Di ba we are anticipating again their walk along the baywalk??? Those are still the things that we look forward to and not the redundant problems that Maya is facing with SC’s family. And please writers/direk, add more humor into the scenes para naman may comic relief at hindi puro problema ang naiisip namin.
Yeah there’s no denying that their chemistry worked wonders for the noon time slot. However, I have a strange feeling that after the BCWMH movie, this tandem will be given “rest”. Richard will be paired with another leading lady (I’m guessing it’ll be Anne Curtis in a RomCom) while Jodi will be either focusing on her personal life OR will be paired with the Box Office King John Lloyd Cruz in either a movie or series ( more likely in a dramatic movie ). Well, at least these are what I’ve been getting from the grapevine.
Talagang magandang lesson ito. My gosh if looks could kill yong tingin ni DE kay DR would have done it,nakakatawa.

ABS would need to practice precaution in saturating their marketable tandems. They’ve done this for other pairings like KimGerald, SarahLloydy, BeaLloydy, etc. The “in” thing now in the biz is make the fans crave to see the pairs together again after a long hiatus. Just look at the success of the Sarah- Lloydy tandem. Their movie It Takes A Man & A Woman has now taken the top spot from the Kris-Ai-ai-Vice Movie as the highest grossing Filipino movie OF ALL TIME — P470 M (if I’m not mistaken)

I noticed some inconsistencies in the episode today. When Richard brought Maya home, where’s the sunflower and Maya’s rolling bag. Richard was only carrying the bag of the left-over food. When Maya was talking to Kute and the rest of the family before going to the lunch, it was a Saturday but Cho is wearing the school uniform . When the Lim’s family is going to the hotel restaurant, Richard is wearing a black belt but when they got into the restaurant, he’s wearing a brown belt.
The teaser shows Richard was telling Maya that his dad said no to his engagement with Alex and they did not talk to each other until after Luke was born. In Richard’s real life, the same thing happened that he and his father did not talk for 2 years after he got married and their relationship became good again after his son was born. Sorry no offense, parang hawig lang sa mga pinagdaanan ni Richard in real life.
Overall, this show is still the best.
I know maraming disapppointed na sa takbo ng story ng BCWMH so I try to remember this…..There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love by Martin Luther King.

It’s a Kind Gesture but is it?
At the mansion, Don Roberto waits for Richard at the Principal’s Office. He looks at all of the pictures he has displayed including the framed front page clipping of the hangar launch. He pulls out a book from the top shelf when Manang Fe walks in with a cup of coffee. He said thank you to her. And as he sits down, he asks Manang Fe if Richard is really happy? Manang Fe, with a smile on her face nodded yes and then she excused herself. Don R was left pondering upon it. Richard walks in the door. “Son” Don R said. “What do you want to talk about Pa?” Richard asked him. Don R said, “I feel bad about us arguing.” “Me too Pa” Richard replied. “Let me make it up to you.” Don R said. “Let’s go out tomorrow and I’ll treat the whole family to lunch.” He continued. “Ok Pa” Richard said. Don R nodded with a smile on his face and then walked out the door. Richard looked back at his father and seemed pleased at the gesture.
The next morning, Maya was still sleeping when Richard phones her (Excited much Ricardo?) He asks if she has plans for the day? Maya said no. Richard proceeded to tell Maya that his father invited the family to have lunch at the Royal Eats. It was a pleasant surprise for Maya. “Really?” She asked. “Yes” Richard replied. “I knew it Ser Chief.” Maya said. “I knew you were going to say that. Ok Attorney. You were right.” Richard said. “Are you excited?” Maya asked. “In a way Yes. I am just glad that we are now ok with Papa. And, you were right. I did mind that Papa and I were arguing.” Richard answered. Maya reminded Richard of the saying “Good things come to those who wait. But better things come to those people who do something while waiting. It comes with better results.” “You’re right.” Richard said. “So how many points do I have now in our score board?” Maya teases Richard. “It doesn’t matter. You win.” Richard admits. They both laugh.
“So lunch at the Royal Eats?” Dona E asks Don R. Don Roberto looked impatient with Dona E and said, “Esmeralda, as far as I am concerned you are not deaf. Yes. I am treating Ricky and the whole family to Royal Eats for lunch.” “Oh thank you thank you thank you.” Dona E excitedly tells Don R and gave him xoxoxo. Don R made her stop doing it. Dona E explained that she is just all too happy because finally he and Ricky are no longer fighting. (that’s what you think Dona E. Wait till you see what he did. You should have watched the teaser yesterday and you would want to wring that man’s neck if you only knew.) “You are right.” Don R said. “It isn’t right that him and I are arguing during our vacation.” Dona E was so pleased to hear him say that and gave him some more xoxoxoxo. This time, Nikki and Abby walked in the door to confirm that they are really going to eat at Royal Eats. Abby was jumping up and down and was so excited although she couldn’t remember eating there before because she was still too young when they ate there the last time and she doesn’t know what kind of food they serve. I think her happiness and excitement stems from the thought that the family is all coming together for a special treat. Nikki was just as excited. Don R said that he is just going to have a short meeting with someone and then he will meet them at the restaurant. Dona E asked him about the reservation because she is worried that on Saturday’s the place is always packed. Don R assured her everything has been taken cared of. He told her that if they make it there before he does, just ask for the reservation he placed under his name. Dona E said ok and off they went to get ready.
Hirap talaga isustain ang kilig, kasi lumelevel up din.

Okay din sana na makita ang naniningkit na mata ni SC sa sobrang selos… pero wag lang i-drag ng matagal, mejo mahaba na nga ang isang conflict ang maresolve in a week, pero dahil considerate tayo sa mga writers… ok na din yun.
Point is pwede naman magka-conflict, pero wag lang tagalan para GV uli agad.
Kaya dapat gawan nila ng ibang scenario kagaya ng na-stranded sina SC at Maya sa isang island dahil may bagyo or else sinamahan ni SC si Maya sa isang flight niya at two days after pa sila makauwi. Sana yung scenario na isolated sila and they don’t need to worry about work or their family.
THE DINING TABLE
In most homes throughout the world, the dining table is where families gather. Primarily it is where the family shares their meals. However, besides food, ideas are also shared around the table. Since it is centrally located, it is conducive to hosting family meetings, as well. Here, ideas are initially conceptualized during the brainstorming process, stories are shared, accomplishments are celebrated, milestones are recognized and individuals are affirmed. In short, this sacred furniture stands as a witness to the true heart and soul of the people gathered around it. Joys and laughter, pain and suffering are poured over it. It is the true heart of the home.
In this episode of Be Careful with My Heart, the Dela Rosa family gathers around the breakfast table to start their day together and reaffirm their bond as a family. Through the magic of technology, they even include and welcome the physically-absent Maya in their circle, albeit only through her voice. At this table, the family keeps each other abreast on the goings on in their individual lives. To them, family remains vitally connected although they are physically apart.
At the condo, Emman and Maya share leftovers at the dining table. The friends use their time together not just to share a meal but also the latest in their own lives. Emman shows his support of his roommate by being her cheerleader, counselor, supporter, fashion adviser and food sampler. Their friendship is nurtured and nourished by their conversations over the dining table.
At the restaurant, the Lim family gathers to celebrate being a family. It is a rare multi-generational gathering so it makes it more special. The last such gathering in this venue is when Abby was only a baby. However, the miscommunication between the two Lim men gets in the way of an otherwise joyous affair. The senior Lim unintentionally omitted Maya in his restaurant reservation count. Incorrectly assuming that Maya is invited to the lunch, Richard extends his invitation to Maya. Unbeknownst to each other, they differ in their definition of family. Richard includes Maya in his; Don Roberto does not. Hence there is an obvious awkwardness at the discovery that the dining table lacks one setting. Although the situation has been immediately rectified by Don Roberto, the damage has irrefutably been done. Momentarily, Maya felt left out; Richard felt her pain. Since it is in her nature, Maya immediately forgives the short-fall. On the other hand, the incident opens an old wound for Richard and he can barely contain his anger. He quickly concocts an excuse which effectively allowed the two of them to leave. In the lover’s wake, the heavy undercurrents still hung in the air.
The Lims generally gather around the dining table at home. It is the center of the family’s activities. This table bears witness to their grief and their losses. It can attest to their triumphant successes and their joyous celebrations. Around it, the family also air out their conflicts and patch up their differences. Hence, although the recent event seems to be a grievous offense in Richard’s eyes, Maya will help him understand and will help him forgive his father. In no time, they will all gather around again as a family, hear their disagreements, forgive each other of their faults, and allow healing to take place in their hearts. In due time, peace will be restored and love will be shared around the Lim’s dining table again. After all, this very table has remained constant in its service to this family. This dining table is always ready to serve.
Super love ko ang show na ‘to….pag di ko type ang episode,nanonood na lang ako ng past episodes na nakakaikilig..ganun talaga,di araw araw ay masaya,merong disappointed at naiinis na rin sa bagal ng story,pero okay lang sa akin ,at least kahit papano ay napapangiti pa rin ako ng mga bida..mga simpleng HH at smile nilang dalawa ay ayos na..naniniwala naman ako sa mga writers…di ba more than one year na ang show..at sa haba ng panahon ay pinasaya naman nila tayong lahat di ba
Ako nga nagigising ng 1:30 am para lang manood..parang alarm clock ko na ang BCWMH..minsan mahirap bumalik sa tulog pag malungkot ang episode, pero kadalasan naman ay nakakabalik agad kasi kailangan at maaga pa ang pasok….seguro nga pag nag end ang show baka end ko na rin ang subscription ko sa TFC..manood na lang din sa internet sa ibang show …waiting for the movie at segurado naman ako na ipapalabas din yan dito sa amin,di kaya magpapabili na lang ng dvd sa family ko sa Pinas.
I do understand that medyo na-drag na nga yung issue with DR, but let’s just see it on another perspective… the more na na-drag sya, the more na mas napatibay yung love ni SC and Maya with each other… as Atty. Ryan said, “what is happening is actually good” — na-prove kc how sincere is their love for each other… and also kc kung pagsama-samahin yung scenes with DR-SC & Maya conflict, hindi naman masyado mahaba meron nga nga lang issues with NicNik at Luey kaya mukhang mahaba.

At any rate, am just lovin the feel good moments of the lovebirds, the happy sharing of the Dela Rosa family… While we highlight the good, let us take note of the not so good, in the hope that we pick a lesson or too on how we can better handle situations thrown to the characters… intentional or not, good or bad, may we all pick the good, learn from the not so good and come out better individuals…

Maya was on speaker at the de la Rosa’s. She was telling them about the lunch at the Royal Eats (I tried to google it but couldn’t find it. I wanted to see what type of restaurant that is) Nanay T asks Maya if this meant that she is ok now with Richard’s Dad? Maya said she still isn’t sure about that. But she thought “maybe” because why would he ask if he does not approve of her? (uh oh Maya, you just don’t know girl…) Kute said maybe Maya got him with her steak that tastes like adobo. They all laugh but Maya tells Kute it doesn’t matter if she teases Maya, nothing will affect her today. Kute tells Maya that she isn’t teasing her. She actually thought of including Maya’s steak recipe in their menu at the chibugan and calling it Maya’s special “Looks like steak but tastes like adobo.” Ha ha…Maya was sure it will be a hit ha ha Mamang asks Maya about the restaurant? Maya tells Mamang, the restaurant is in a hotel. It is a buffet style restaurant. A lot of people eat there and they have to make a reservation. Cho asked Maya if the food is good there? Maya said it will be first time as well so she can’t tell him just yet. Maya said that the restaurant has every kind of dish that you could think of. Maya then told everyone not to worry. Someday, the de la Rosa family will be able to go there and eat. (You are so kind Maya. Always thinking of family. I am sure you will one day treat them there.) They said goodbye and Kute is heard in the background screaming for Maya to eat for them ha ha…Maya chooses her outfit and looked excited to get ready for lunch.

At the mansion, everyone is at the living room waiting for Richard as he walks down the stairs. He asks his Mom where is Dad is? Dona E tells him that they are going to meet him at the restaurant. She doesn’t understand him because it is Saturday and his mind is still into his business. Maya then arrived. Abby, as usual, runs for her hug. She greets everyone hugging and beso beso….Nikki, Luke, Richard and Dona E. Then she greeted Manang Fe. Dona E asked them if everyone is ready? Luke said they are and he thinks he is going to be eating well today. Maya whispers to Richard that she is glad they are not going to be eating his cooking. Richard whispers back to Maya that at least they are going to be eating real steak at the restaurant. Maya tells Richard he is mean. Richard tells Maya she started it. They both laugh. (Waaaa! They are so dang cute…I love them.) Finally the whole family is out the door.
“Oh My G” Nikki gasps at the ton of food in front of her at the restaurant. She mentions that she will pig out and then diet for a week. Luke teases her that she easily gains weight (Oh my G Luke, I can’t believe you said that to Nikki. That is hitting below the belt ha ha). Nikki and Maya excused themselves to the bathroom. Dona E asked Richard to call his father. Richard started to dial the phone when Don R walks in and joins them. After greeting each other, he asks where Nikki is? Dona E told him she is at the comfort room. He tells them they could go sit down at the table. But before they left, Richard asked to talk to his Dad. His Dad asked him if it could wait until after lunch? Richard insists he wants to talk to him now.

SC and RY’s fathers did not approve of both sons’ choice of partner (love-interest). Both, father and son relationship gone sour. Both fathers reconciled with their respective sons ONLY after their grandsons were born. In RY case his first born is a daughter and his second child is a son about seven years apart. In Chinese family and real life tradition, a son has an edge over a daughter in importance. The argument here is, a son will continue the family’s legacy especially in the business department. The belief is man rules using more of his head. On the other hand, the credence is, a woman normally will rule with her head together with her heart. And that is not good for business
If I follow your logic, Don Roberto will only bestow his blessings when Richard and Maya will deliver their first son? ha ha ha.
Because I don’t think Maya will marry Richard without his parents heartfelt consent, this scenario is never going to happen.
But as you pointed out in the moral lesson imparted in this episode, Maya will convince Richard to wait for his father to come around to accepting that Maya, and no one else, is who Richard wants to be with for the rest of his life.

I don’t want to believe na walang kilig nung naging sila na, kasi nang magdate sila sa secluded place at nagdance sila dun, diba kinilig pa rin tayo??? it’s a matter, I think of putting more of those scenes into the picture. Kagaya kanina, when SC reached for the hand of Maya kinilig pa rin ako kaso konti lang yung mga PDA na ganyan eh kaya wala masyadong kilig. Di ba we are anticipating again their walk along the baywalk??? those are still the things that we look forward to and not the redundant problems that Maya is facing with SC’s family. And please writers/direk, add more humor into the scenes para naman may comic relief at hindi puro problema ang naiisip namin.
Yes magaling talaga mga writers ng BCWMH pero if they don’t let up on their hectic pace kasi there’s a tendency for burn-out din.
And just to clarify, I just want to give constructive feedback for the writers and staff of BCWMH kasi mahal na mahal ko ang show na ito and I won’t just give up on it and I don’t want it to end either. Not like other teleserye na gusto ko nang matapos para iba naman, gusto ko na ang BCWMH will stay forever. Gusto ko mag-evolve ang BCWMH just like the series in the States that last for years. Pero unlike the series in the States which air once a week, daily naman ang BCWMH kaya hectic talaga. Kaya tuloy yung ibang pinapalabas hindi siguro masyadong napag-isipan mabuti. Sana they could do something about this like consider shifting schedules para each has their respective time to rest talaga!

But it’s not too late, puede pa naman nila magawan ng paraan eh. diba mga writers and staff???? may tiwala kami sa inyo. you’ve never let us down in the past, you would not let us down now!!! Oooopps or Not?
At the table, everyone took a seat except for Maya. Nikki told her to sit down. Maya couldn’t move looking at the empty chairs and place setting. Simultaneous to this, Richard was talking to his father. Richard told Don R “Thank you Pa.” “For what?” He asked. “For doing this for Maya.” Richard said. With a surprised look on his face, Don R said “Maya?” Richard’s facial expression suddenly soured. Back at the table, Maya obviously could count that there wasn’t enough chairs at the table. Even though they said for her to take a seat, she remained standing and said she will wait for Richard. Luke realizes what Maya already knew. He said the table is missing a chair. Dona E calls the hostess. She tells her that they are missing a chair. The hostess said there are no more extra chairs. “What do you mean?” Dona E asked while she stood up from her chair. “Sorry Ma’am. Everything is already occupied. The only ones left are those that have been reserved already.” The hostess replied. Dona E said that they have a reservation. The hostess checked her logbook and she confirmed that the reservation was under Roberto Lim? Yes, Dona E said. She then proceeds to tell Dona E that the reservation was made for 6 people. Everyone at the table reacted seemingly counting everyone in their head. Dona E looks at Maya. Maya pursed her lips seemingly embarrassed. She is obviously the odd person out. Back at Richard and Don R, “Yes for Maya.” Richard tells Don Roberto. “Why? (he stutters a little) Did you take her with you?” He asks. Richard replied, “You said you were inviting us.” “Your family.” Don R said. Richard suddenly changes gears. He realizes his father had no intentions of including Maya in the equation. At the same time, Don R realizes there is a misunderstanding. “I’m afraid there is a slight misunderstanding.” He said. “Misunderstanding?” Richard asked. “Yes yes, my reservation does not have enough seats for everyone. It’s ok I will take care of it.” He tells Richard. “Never mind.” Richard is now upset. Don R argues that Richard didn’t tell him that he is going to invite Maya otherwise he would have included her in the reservation. “Pa, you said you are treating the whole family.” Richard tells his father. “Exactly.” He responds. “The children and I treat Maya as part of the family Pa.” Richard emphatically tells his father. Don R paused…and may have realized that he has once more hurt his son. Richard left him standing there to go to the table.

At the table, Dona E is doing some damage control. She tells Maya not to worry. They will fix this. Maya tells Dona E that maybe Richard misunderstood Don R. Nikki, to defuse the issue said that maybe her grandfather made a mistake in counting the number of people. Dona E agreed. She apologizes to Maya for Don R and said that he is just getting old now. Abby suggested to take the chair from the other table that seems not being used. Maya said they cannot just do that. It is reserved for others. Luke asked the hostess if they could inform them once there is a vacant seat available? Yes, the hostess said but it will take some time. Luke said that is ok. He tried to give Maya his seat and he is willing to wait. (Luke you make me cry with your sweet gesture.) Maya refused. Then Abby insist that she share her seat with Maya. (You too little angel. You are a selfless little sweet girl especially to your Ate Maya.) Maya said it is ok. They all want to accommodate Maya knowing this is an awkward situation. Richard arrives at the table. He tells Abby and Luke to stay at their seat. Richard tells Nikki it’s ok. He takes Maya’s hand and tells everyone they are just going to eat someplace else. Then he looks at Maya and asks her if its ok. Maya just stared at him. He is obviously upset. He nods ever so gently as if signaling Maya to just go with his plan. Suddenly, Don R arrives with the manager. He pulled strings and seemed to have convinced the manager to add another chair and place setting at the table. The manager orders the hostess to do so and Don R seemed to have resolved the problem. Richard and Maya just looked at each other. Richard is still upset and Maya was just calm not wanting to cause any alarm especially in front of the kids. Don R tried to cool off the situation and after assuring the kids that everything is fine now, he turns to Maya and apologizes for the slight misunderstanding. Maya said not to worry and that all is well. Richard is still upset when his father told him to take a seat. He looks at Maya with a sad face. Don R could see Richard’s reaction. Dona E also has a bitter look for Don R. It isn’t a pretty sight. (Dear Don R…I am sorry but you have a lot of shortcomings toward your son. You have to do some damage control. Be thankful that you were dealing with Maya because if that were me, I probably would have taken a glass of water and throw it on your face. Dear Richard…I don’t blame you. But knowing your father, you have to clarify everything with him to be sure you understand what he means. Dear Maya, thank you for showing us how we should react when awkward situations like yours happen to us. The love and respect that you show Richard is beyond compare. We could only hope that we can be somewhat like you. You truly are a role model.)
Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata
Dona E asks Don R if this is his way of patching up with Richard? He is just making things worst. Maya consoles Richard. He is very much affected by what his father did. Nikki is heard commenting about the gig and thought that maybe at her Dad’s birthday party at the orphanage that they could do a small gig for them. Don R asks Richard what he thought? Richard tells the group that they are going ahead because Maya has to catch a flight. Maya was about to say that she doesn’t have a flight for a while but Richard gripped her hand tight and shook it to signal for her to go along with him. Maya and Richard left the restaurant ahead of everyone. (Richard has wanted to leave with Maya. It looked like he couldn’t stand to be in the same room with his father.) In the car, Maya gets a dit di dit dit from Dona E apologizing for Don R. Maya dit di dit dits her back to say it is ok and not to worry. It seems that Richard drove Maya to the bay walk. They were having a conversation there. She told Richard that his Mom told her that him and his father often fought but that they make up pretty easily? Richard said sometimes it takes a long time before they make up. He said that his father and him were at odds when he got engaged to Alex and they didn’t talk until after Luke was born (hmmm story of RY’s real life.) Maya was hopeful that they would eventually make up. She gives him a big hug while we hear her say that she is sure Don R would not stand being at odds with him for too long. Maya just continues to encourage Richard and gives him positive thoughts.

I seriously don’t know whether to feel bad for Don Roberto. It looks like he’s totally trying his best to get along with Sir Chief but it backfired on him when he made a “slight” mistake on the reservation. At the same time though he could be doing this just to appease his son and wife. Hmmm…are you Don Roberto??? Hopefully he’s really sincere about getting along with Sir Chief. I was holding my breath the whole time I was watching the lunch scene. I really do feel sad for Sir Chief 🙂 He was trying his best not let his kids see how upset he is with his dad and sad for Maya. I love Luke, Nikki, and Abby when they try to make room for Maya. This goes to show how genuinely do consider Maya as part of their family. Kudos for kiddos!!!
I was surprised when SC told Maya that even with Alex, Don Roberto was the villain in their story…lol. I thought it was only in Maya’s. Sigh…Don Roberto just accept the inevitable…Maya is soooo not going anywhere. She makes your son and grandchildren very happy and she loves them wholeheartedly. What more do you want? Isn’t that what all parents want for their children to see them happy and healthy? I am going to give you Don Roberto the benefit of the doubt. Maybe you’re not such a bad guy after all. We shall see. Don’t disappoint me…lol!

The story got to the point of me getting bored na but i TRUST and i ADMIRE the writers and the rest of the creative team for BCWMH and with everything they’ve been through im pretty sure they are cooking something for us classmates.

Kaya dapat gawan nila ng ibang scenario kagaya ng na-stranded sina SC at Maya sa isang island dahil may bagyo or else sinamahan ni SC si Maya sa isang flight niya at two days after pa sila makauwi. sana yung scenario na isolated sila and they don’t need to worry about work or their family.

The Dela Rosa family 3 generation is shown as loving, each member is connected to each other, they are contented with what they have and enjoy each other’s company; they are always kapit bisig.
The Lim family 3 generation would seem similar but there is an invisible division between the 1st and 2nd generation. This is where the two families differ.
Where the Dela Rosa’s would speak in plain language understood by all, the Lim’s have undercurrents and different nuances that is a source of miscommunication.
Where the Dela Rosa’s would always think of solutions that would benefit the whole family, the Lim’s can’t get away from past hurts that clouds complete understanding of the present situation.
Because of Don R’s myopic view of a very important issue regarding his son, he does not see beyond what he believes in…..even if he is attempting to make it up with Richard, Don R still goes about his day as he sees it, not as it will reach out to Richard (which is including Maya). His making it up with Richard is to treat Richard and his children. While Richard took the invitation on its face value, he included Maya because Richard and his children treats Maya as part of the family. And Dona Esmeralda also thinks the same as Richard because she has seen for herself how everyone on the family gravitates to Maya for a lot of things. This is confirmed on the teaser when Dona Esmeralda chides Don R for the discrepancy in the reservation. Even if the Don was able to request for the additional setting, harm has been done – not really to Maya but more to Richard who was very much affected by the misunderstanding. Don R is really really dense.
I admire the way Maya was just looking out for Richard, always making sure that he will not be pikon, but still, Richard needed to get away after to the point of saying Maya has a flight…..he really has to learn how to let go of the past because it is making him anticipate or expect or unconsciously suspect the father’s every move after Don R explicitly told him not to be serious with Maya and insisting that she might demand a cut of his money. As Richard told Maya during their dinner date, Don R cultivates relationship when he needs to for his business. Outside of business, he does not bother. That is a heavy baggage to carry.

I have been a lurker on this thread since it started because this is where i could find first hand info , reaction and pictures of the show i have learned to love . I congratulate the writers, staff ,casts and director who are all behind this show. In every story there would always be highs and lows. The show has given us so many good feelings in the whole run .The show in fact has given certain people like me with so much fun that it has become a part of my daily routine. We clamor that the show would continue so as it would continue to be a part of our daily life so i wish that if there were times that the show did not give us the satisfaction we need, that we could be more forgiving. It was not bad to comment but there are those who are so harsh on giving negative feedbacks to the point of asking the network to end the show asap . I hope we would just enjoy the journey and continue to watch the show. Honestly, i cannot bear to hear if the show would be done soon for i have said earlier that it literally has become a part of my daily life. Let’s just enjoy the ride and be happy.

Hmmm…Anne Curtis has been paired with a lot older actors in the past and they worked well for ABS/Star Cinema. I think Anne can pull it off with Richard Yap since she also has a natural comedic timing. If it’s any indication of a possibility, remember Richard Yap’s ASAP celebration? Anne was even interviewed there for the VTR. She’s very open to working with Richard on a project and Richard hasn’t been too shy about saying he really wants to work with Anne Curtis.
Toni Gozaga can work well with Richard too. However, I think physically, Anne has more chemistry with Richard than Toni.

I love this episode kasi ipinakita nyo ang kakaibang dynamics ng relationship ni SC at Maya. Mostly sa TV dramas nakikita lang sa situation na to yung babae inayawan ng magulang ng lalaki dahil sa katayuan ng buhay tapos ang focus lang yung nararamndaman ng babae PERO DITO SA BCWMH pinakita rin kung anong nararamdaman noong lalaki.
I fully understand why Maya was consoling Richard kasi nakita nya kung gaano kaapekto si SC sa ginawa ng magulang nya. Ang audience kasi sanay na yung sa inaapi ang sole attention ng story not really knowing na yung lalaki is also hurting. There was no question anymore kung meron bibigay sa kanila or meron mangyayaring breakup. Sabi nga ni SC na nahihiya na sya kasi alam na nya ang ending eh si Maya ang mahihirapan. Si Maya naman on the other hand alam na nya na mahihirapan si SC kasi nga magkakastrain sa relationship ng mag-ama.
Pinakita rin dito ang insecurities at weaknesses ni SC along with kung gaano nya kamahal si Maya. Kasi alam na nya ang gagawin nya which is to defy his father. There was no question about it, SC WILL DEFY HIS FATHER WHEN IT COMES TO MAYA. Yun ang isa sa kinalulungkot nya kasi
Sino ba naman anak ang gustong pahirapan ang kanyang magulang. Remember that he is an only son. Ako kasi close sa father ko so hindi ko ma-imagine that yung gustong kong puntahan na direksyon ng buhay ko hindi suportado ng tatay ko.It is really amazing that the writers were able to tap on this point.
Ganda kasi equal yung treatment ng story. They were also able to tell na pantay yung relationship ni SC and Maya.Pwede silang mag-voice out ng nararamdaman nila to each other na hindi takot sa isa’t isa. Ganon na yung level ng relationship nila. Kakatuwa. Kasi yun naman ang dapat di ba. It also showed kung gaano kamahal ni SC si Maya.
Kung nagtataka kayo kung bakit laging question yun ano ang kulang kay Maya kasi yung naman po ang major conflict naman talaga ng story. Sobrang mayaman si lalaki, mahirap si babae. Watered down na nga yung conflicts eh kasi in real life mas madugo. Remember, dating katulong ang pakakasalan. Hindi lahat matatanggap yon.

Ay…away naman sina DE and DR.
Nagpipikunan sina Nikki and Luke about who Mallows is.
Hay naku! ako na ang mababaw, pero kinilig ako when Maya holds SC’s hand… hihihihi.
As Richard was struggling to contain his anger and frustration with DR over the lunch incident, Maya although slightly shaken by what happened, once again set her emotions aside to look after SC, comforting him… for as she saw the pain and struggle in SC’s eyes… she was there for him, her undivided attention… and when he needed it the most, she was ready for that warmth of a hug… that simple touch of reassurance… or that ready smile willingly and lovingly given to the one she loved the most. And that made all the difference. For only Maya could make everything easy and simple… only she can make her SC smile… and only she can calm him down. And she does that and more simply by loving him… loving him unconditionally.
Crisis, conflicts or struggles make us stronger as individuals in the same way that relationships become stronger, deeper… our experiences in handling these conflicts make us wiser… and all these we go through for a brighter future and better appreciation of life in general. For in the end, love bares its strength a midst tribulations… wrongful thoughts or judgments… against all odds…
Let’s keep in mind that pain are given so we might learn how to sympathize; struggles are presented so we might realize how to appreciate; and tears flow as sadness are felt so we will know how real happiness actually feels.

At the dinning table at the De La Rosas, Cho was excited about the Royal Eats and the idea of a buffet menu consisting of all types of food that you could think of. . He goes on and on about how much fun that experience could be. Kute tells him that it is better to eat at the Little Pards Chibugan. Cho said that at the Royal Eats, they could eat all you can. Kute argued that they too have unlimited food at Little Pards Chibugan except it only applies to rice. Everyone chuckled ha ha. Mamang wondered when Maya is able to take them to eat at a place like that? Kute tells her she is afraid that if they let loose Mamang at that restaurant she will be forming her line at the food that could cause one to have a heart attack like roast pig, pork belly and deep fried pig knuckles (ha ha that sounds kinda gross but it sure tastes good). Mamang said she wants to eat those dishes that have shiny sparkling grease on it. The ones that have a ton of fat and meat Cho added. Mamang demonstrates picking the meat apart and dips it in spicy vinegar and then she kisses her fingers and say “Yummy!” Mamang amused Cho. Nanay T couldn’t believe that Mamang and Cho are currently eating but still talking about food. (Ha ha Don’t you worry Nanay T. Sometimes we are eating breakfast and already thinking about what we are going to eat at lunch…let them enjoy their conversation ha ha)

Back at the Royal Eats, Maya helps Abby get her food at the buffet line. Richard followed them around. He didn’t have a plate and he didn’t look happy. Maya asked Richard if he wanted something? Richard shook his head. Abby asked to go to Luke and Nikki because she wanted desert. Maya allowed her. After she left, Maya turned around to Richard. She rubbed his arm and shoulder and asked if he was ok. He shook his head in disgust. He is so upset he didn’t even want to talk. Maya knew how affected he is with his father’s actions. She continues to rub his shoulder to calm him down. Meanwhile, Dona E asks Don R what he was thinking? “Is that the way you thought you could make it up to Ricky? You’re only making things worst between yourself and your son.” She said. “Stop it Esmeralda.” Don Roberto glares at her. “You are over reacting again.” He continues. Dona E responds, “I am not over reacting. You should see the look on Maya’s face when she learned she isn’t part of your reservation…my gosh, she was embarrassed and you embarrassed your son.” Don Roberto shook his head and he was about to argue with Dona E when Abby called out to them. She had a big smile on her face and a plate full of food. They stopped for a moment until Abby passed. After Abby is gone, Dona E continued to tell Don R that he needs to apologize to Richard and Maya. Don Roberto argued that he’s already fixed it. He said he’s done with it. He turned away in disgust, and left his plate at the buffet. Dona E asked him where he is going? He tells her he has lost his appetite. Dona E was left at the buffet line. (hrrmmp! Unbelievable that Don R is the one that has the gall to be upset. He is indeed very insensitive.)
Who’s Mallows?
Luke and Nikki get their food. Luke keeps piling up food on his plate. Nikki notices it and tells Luke to slow down. After all, they are able to keep coming back for more. Luke tells Nikki to leave him alone. He plans to come back later after he finishes his first plate. Nikki was surprised and said “What???? Oh my G Kuya, are you stressed eating? What did you and Ate Joey talk about?” Nikki asked him. Luke was surprised by Nikki’s reaction. “Wow, I am just going to eat a lot and I’m stressed right away?” Luke said. But the very assuming Nikki was serious. She tells Luke not to pour his misery to food. Instead, Nikki said for Luke to talk to someone about it. Luke asked Nikki, “You mean to say, I should talk to you?” Nikki smiled. Luke turned to Nikki and said that he isn’t interrogating her about Mallows. Nikki suddenly tensed up and couldn’t immediately say a thing. In order for Luke to stop nagging her, Nikki tells him she will stop asking. Then Luke asked Nikki who is Mallows anyway and where does he live? Luke wants to talk to him. (Ha ha Luke you know exactly who Mallows is and you talk to him practically everyday. He is the one you call Bespren.) Nikki tells Luke to stop. Abby found the two and asked Nikki if she could have marshmallows on a stick. Luke said that Abby is right to ask Nikki because they both like mallows as in marshmallows. Nikki helped Abby while Luke continues to tease her.

Such are the arguments that we so often hear about “reality” and “human nature” and all of those other irrefutable “truths” about the importance of money. Every single one of us, however, has some bearing, some impact, on those realities, those truths. We are not puppets without a will to act and make decisions about “reality.” We either reinforce, challenge, or otherwise shape reality by our actions.
Don R has demonstrated that money is his foremost concern, not the emotional well being of his son. He demands that SC impose a prenuptial agreement if he were to marry Maya. The spiritual union of the couple be damned. Their emotional commitment, whatever. Their happiness? Don R doesn’t really care. He has yet to show that he cares a whit about his son’s feelings.
It’s time people stand up and proclaim the values of love and commitment, even if material wealth is at stake. If you are a person of faith and believe in the idea of eternal life, it is love that will last, not material wealth.
Aah… talaga palang may pinaghuhugutan ang galit ni SC… kaya hindi na mapalampas yung misunderstanding na nangyari sa lunch.

Back at the mansion, Joma is cleaning the car and Doris is talking to him. She was asking Joma when Elmer was coming home? Joma tells Doris to text Elmer directly so she knows. Doris tells him that Mamang told her and Sabel to be less aggressive and to play hard to get. Joma tells Doris that she does not look like someone that is hard to get. Doris tells Joma to stop it. She thinks it might work and Elmer might take notice of her. At this time, Sabel walks in the gate from school. Doris excitedly tells her that Elmer is about to come home. Sabel didn’t seem affected by the news. She tells Doris “Good for you.” Doris was surprised and asked Sabel, “What do you mean good for me? You mean to say just me?” Sabel said “I am focusing on my studies right now.” Then her cell phone dit di dit dit. She reads the message. She smiled and then excused herself leaving Joma and Doris dumbfounded. (Me thinks Sabel found someone at school.)

Back at the restaurant Nikki complains of being so full she didn’t have room for dessert. Luke started in on Nikki. He tells her she’s got more room for ice cream. Nikki asked Luke if he was really going to get ice cream after he’s had five servings of food. Luke tells Nikki she is wrong. He only had three servings. Luke teases Nikki and tells her that in no time, all of the marshmallows will go down leaving her room for ice cream. Richard could sense the kids are done. Richard suddenly asked to go home. Nikki tells him not yet because she is too full to walk. Abby said she feels the same way. Luke said he is still going to have ice cream. “That’s right Ricky” Don R said. But Richard insists. So Richard asked them if it is ok if him and Maya went ahead of them? He used the excuse that Maya is catching a flight. Maya looked at him to tell him her flight is not till later but Richard squeezed her hand and shook it to signal her to just go along with him. Maya agreed and said that she has a flight to catch. Nikki said ok, they would just ride with their Grandparents home. They said goodbye to everyone Richard and Maya left.
At eto na naman, okay lang kay Maya. Ayaw ni SC ng pre-nup… and lalo siguro na ayaw nya na papayag si Maya sa gusto ng papa nya.
Ito kayang issue with DR ang ultimate test sa lovestory ni SC and Maya??? So kasalan na ang sunod.
Wish ko lang na sumama si SC papuntang San Nicolas para magpaalam na kay Nanay Tere, and just like before he’ll be willing to wait if hindi pa handa si Maya, but it would be nice if maipaalam na nya kayna Nanay Tere his intention to marry Maya.
Kaya I therefore concLude na ang isaw ay pwedeng magpakilig.
Sana pala di na lang pinigilan ni SC si DR umalis, nag cause pa ng stress e. Mukhang walang pasabog para sa holiday bukas.
Outside the restaurant, Richard holds Maya’s hand to wait for the car from valet. Richard is not in a good mood. Maya just quietly stands by him careful not to trigger any kind of reaction from him. (tsk tsk tsk no tip for the valet) Back inside the restaurant, Don R entices the kids with ice cream. When they left the table, Dona E got her cell phone and sent a dit di dit dit to Maya apologizing on behalf of Don R. Maya sends a text back to her saying not to worry. She understands. Dona E responds to ask how Richard is? She sends her back a message to tell her that they haven’t spoken yet. Maya told Richard that his mom is asking about him. Richard did not answer. Maya calls him a couple of times and he finally responds that he just needed some air. He obviously didn’t want to be sitting in the same table with his father any longer. Maya just left him alone with his thoughts. At the Bay Walk, Richard is seen sitting at the wall staring at nowhere. Maya walked towards him (Maybe she took a bathroom break or something. Don’t you all worry, he is still wearing the same belt as in yesterday’s episode and it looks like the same color shirt. So far Maya has not changed her purse and shoes and in fairness, I like her dress. It is a simple classy dress in perfect length appropriate for a Saturday lunch date. I also haven’t seen any flies, moth or mosquitos flying around. Ha ha) She lightly taps his back and said, “Ser Chief. Aren’t you hungry yet? You hardly touched your food at the restaurant.” Richard turns around and tells her “I can’t eat.” Maya tried to humor Richard and said “Maybe because you have stomach ache?” (actually she meant constipation but it didn’t sound right so I am going to use stomach ache instead.) Richard was not in the mood. “You know what? We should be the ones fighting because we were the one that misunderstood him.” Maya said. Richard just quietly listens to her. “Don’t worry about it my Ser Chief. It was an honest mistake and Don R made it right after all.” Maya said. “But that is not enough.” Richard said. “Ser Chief, its just a small thing. You should just let it slide.” Maya replied. “It isn’t a small thing.” Richard said. “But your father is old now.” Maya replied. “That’s not an excuse.” Richard said. “You’re right but you and your Father do not spend a lot of time together. Every moment of the time that he is here with you is precious. It wouldn’t be nice if you wasted their vacation time because of a grudge that you are keeping toward him.” Maya said. Richard looks away for a moment but he continued to listen. Suddenly Maya said, “Oh I know.” “What?” Richard asked. “You are hot headed because you haven’t eaten yet. Let’s go, I will treat you. What do you want?” She said. “Anything.” Richard replied. With a smile on her face, Maya checks her wallet for funds. She puts the wallet back in her purse and said, “Ok my budget could afford your anything.” Richard finally smiled. Maya grabs his hand to lead him off. (Maya you truly are such a sweet person. You are the only one that could make Richard feel better in any situation. You have done that to him time and time again even when you were just Abby’s yaya. He was always able to count on you to make things seems simple and easy. Sigh!)

Wealth is not the measuring stick of our ultimate happiness, but unfortunately for Don R it is. Don R’s love for money is what is coming between him and his son having a good relationship. His love for money is what is coming between Don R and Maya, whether he admits it or not. Action speaks louder than words. His love and trust is on material things, that at anytime can be lost, but the love of family is the measure of wealth that will last a life time. His love of money is a curse instead of a blessing. He uses it against people, like Alex and Maya in the expense of his only son’s happiness. It’s a blessing that Manang Fe raised SC, because he did not learn to be greedy about money, but instead he shares the blessings with those less fortunate, like providing scholarship for the grandson of the security guard at PUS.

I think Maya would want to sign, but I think SC would strongly disagree. Baka punitin pa ni SC ang prenup na yan eh! Di niya nga ginawa dati kay Alex when he was younger at walang wala pa siya, why would he do so now that he doesn’t need anymore the permission of his parents. If it were me, I would rather transfer the title of some properties to his kids or put up trust funds for the kids in order to make sure that they would be provided for. It would be just as simple as that. Kung tutuusin, may contribution and sacrifices naman si Maya for joining the family of SC and I think she in turn, deserves something naman. Aba di madali ang pinasukan ni Maya, she could choose someone like CJV na walang sabit and mayaman rin. But she chose to love SC and his family so she deserves pa nga a reward. Napasalita niya si Abby, napasaya niya ang mga bata at si SC but in return ano ang ginawa sa kanya? Sinabi na nga ni DR, “I cant change who I am or what I think just for…” (grabe ramdam ko dito ang hurt ni SC), so why not just drop the issue na? wag na idiin, sabi nga ni Maya, kelangan ng panahon. Somethings can’t be solved overnight so sana we could move on na from this conflict and return to happier times. It has been a depressing month already with the parents to the point na nagiging episode na ito ng Monster-in-law. Sana birthday na ni Ricardo next week para masaya ang lahat and maybe, just maybe, we will be surprised by a sudden change of heart.

The way I understood what Jodi said was wala lang naman BCWMH series while BCWMH the movie is being shown sa MMFF. So pagka-intindi ko meron pa ring series while they are still filming. Kung papalabas na ang movie, yan pa lang itemporarily stop ang teleserye.
Kinilig naman ako na they shared one barbecue…kinagatan na ni SC, kinagatan pa ni Maya!
Pero ang fez ni SC, diring-diri kumagat sa isaw. hindi yata kumakain ng streetfood si RY, baka takot magka-typhoid!!!
Samantalang si Maya.. dire diretso lang.. sabagay kung ako din si Maya… lahat ng kakagatan at iinuman ni SC.. kakagatan at iinuman ko din..
(now dead) ,so SC could decide ,if he will follow Don R. suggestion or not as Don R.did not invest on his wealth that he is enjoying now.
We have to bear in our mind that Don R did not approve Alex to marry to Richard during that time,

I am awfully sorry to see the sadness on SC ‘s face after leaving The Royal Eats restaurant,I thought he is going to have a heart attack,Thanks heaven Maya was there to calm him down.Esaw and balut did the trick LOL.

The old adage comes to mind, “You can’t teach old dogs new tricks.” Essentially this saying means that old people’s habits are so deeply entrenched in their character that it would take a major lobotomy for change to happen. The set of behavior and thought patterns, that one has grown up with and has adhered to for decades, are not just memories in a computer drive that one can easily delete and replace with a new set of beliefs. Most of the time, these old patterns have become intrinsic into one’s nature; it has fundamentally calcified in their hearts. In this episode, Don Roberto demonstrates that changing ones’ way of thinking is not that easy to alter.
Richard accused his Dad of being a liar. The older Lim claims that he has changed while the younger one insists that the way he has been acting lately clearly proves that he has not changed at all. Richard calls to mind how his father treated Alex when they got engaged. The way he treats Maya now reminds Richard of how his father has treated Alex before. Don Roberto apparently effectively left her out from their family gatherings or found excuses not to attend the ones that she organized.
One thing that Richard needs to realize is that his father will have a hard time changing especially if he is not motivated to making the change himself. If the motivation to change does not come from within, and outside forces are trying to impact the change from without, the result will not be favorable. One can never be forced to change.
Richard is wise to listen to Maya. She tells him that he needs to be more understanding of his father. Being younger and hopefully, the wiser of the two, Richard needs to show more humility in his dealings with his father and demonstrate to him how to be respectful. Additionally, maybe Richard needs to heed Victor E. Frankl’s advice: “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” Or Wayne Dyer’s: “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” Who knows, the change that Richard is hoping to illicit from Don Roberto just might materialize when the latter sees the former willing to change as well. It might just be the catalyst the old man needs to have a change of heart. In the process, both will be edified.
DON ROBERTO!!! You totally disappointed me. You lied when you said you have changed when Luke was born. You’re still the same man. It saddened me that money is more important to you than your own son’s happiness. Money is just money. You cannot take it with you when you die. Money won’t give you comfort when you need comforting or much less love. Sir Chief is right though. If you cannot sincerely accept Maya as part of the family, then don’t make any efforts at all. Just be yourself and don’t become such a two-face liar. You’re making things worse. You are embarrassing your wife and son in front of Maya. Look at Maya’s family, they accepted Sir Chief and his children with no questions or reservations. The fact that they see Sir Chief making Maya happy is enough for them. Why can’t you be like them, huh???
Dona Esmeralda, please calm down! You also need to realize that your husband will never change even for the sake of his son’s happiness. So just focus your attention on your grandchildren and maybe hang out with Maya once in a while. Or plan Sir Chief’s birthday party…lol. Forget about Don Roberto…lol. Leave him alone with his meeting and making more money.
On happy note…KILIG FACTOR is back!!! Lol…Sir Chief and Maya were so cute and sweet when they were at Manila Bay wall (I think). Maya trying to comfort Sir Chief about what happened and succeeded when Sir Chief smiled while Maya was checking her wallet to make sure she had enough money before she dragged Sir Chief to buy food and not just any food, it was isaw!!! Not sure who ate more though…lol.
As for you Maya, YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND. I don’t know anyone or heard of anyone that can possibly be this understandable and be patient. You always see the bright side of everything. That’s why you are so right for Sir Chief and why he loves you so much. Keep it up girl!

SC built his Lim Aviation all on his own. he did not inherit it from DR and expanded on it. so kung anuman meron si SC, he acquired it on his own. kung san man niya gustong gamitin ang mga ari-arian niya, dapat respetuhin ni DR yun. as SC’s father, he can express his opinion but he can’t impose those on his adult son! that’s carrying it a bit too far.
Nagtataka naman ako kay Dona Esmeralda — one moment, nag-aalsa-balutan sya just to emphasize her point; tapos ngayon namang nag-iinarte tong si DR eh sama naman siya… sana naman she stood her ground.
I admire Maya as she maintains her grace while she carefully navigates the volatile mines that are planted in Don Roberto and Richard’s hearts. In all of their intensity, she admirably keeps her cool and the proper perspective. The Lim men have to remember that a young man is watching how they are dealing with their problem hence they should be judicious in the steps that they take lest they become the unwanted models that should never be emulated in his life. I agree with you sis! When SC and Alex were struggling to build the company, I understand DR did not even give him any support so why the heck should he interfere now. Kung gusto niya, ang ari-arian niya lang ang ilipat niya sa pangalan ng mga apo niya. Wala siyang right na makialam sa mga naipundar ni SC.
What I don’t understand din is why Maya is trying to make SC understand and in fact, bow down to his father’s wishes when it is DR who is the one in the wrong. Si DR pa ngayon ang kinukunsinti when dapat sana i-correct siya.
I believe that if Sir Chief wants his father to respect him, he must effectively demonstrate to him that he too respects him. He should prevent from being confrontative and learn to rein in his emotions. Cooler heads should prevail. Heart and ear should be open to listening so that he and his father can put the much needed closure to the Alex issue. Only then can both move on and tackle the Maya issue with objectivity. on to your pov… you’re right in saying that change is never easy.. but i believe it can be done with open heart and open mind… and it needs to be two way for it will never work if only one is willing… like in any relationship it takes two to tango so they all say… and when two stubborn men are involved, a little pushing and support from their respective women, and a lot of loving coupled with respect will be needed to crack that small opening hope that will pave the way for such change…for such reconciliation.

I just wanna give a few comments on today’s episode.I love it that though the scene revolves around the friction between SC and DR, the episode gave us good feeling with the sweetness between Maya and SC..kahit paano there are more PDA na between the two so me pambawi sa di magandang kaganapan between SC and DR.Maya and Sir Chief should exercise more passion on showing their “sweet side” to each other thru body language.
don roberto side: he knows that he has invested some properties to richard.
he even let their son occupy the old ancestral home. it is don reborto’s wish
that what he has invested would go to the children because they come first
and not the new comer in the family even if he approves of maya as girlfriend of
his son. definitely, there is partnership between the two and one partner should
agree or else there is dissolution of the partnership. even complicated when the
partnership belongs to the family circle.
put your place on don roberto’s shoes. would you give your hard earned money
to the new wife. before, marriage is very sacred and they would really stick to one
another till death do them apart. but in reality nowadays, marriage is not a sure thing.
couple would marry today and tomorrow they divorce or separate. it is sad but it’s
true. that is the reason why don roberto favors the pre-nuptial agreement for protection.
richard’s side: he would not consider the idea of pre-nuptial agreement. he is so in love
with maya and treats her as a family member. he knows that maya would not even think
of being after his wealth. he knows how sincere her love to him. with or without don
roberto’s blessings, he would go ahead what he thinks it is right for him and his family.
more-over, he is willing to forgo all his inheritance from his father.
there is no winner in this issue. it depends whether you are on don roberto or richard’s place.

i am with you all the way. we are the same boat together or i might as get in
the plane (not get on the plane) and we would have never met trying to express
our view together. i would not sign any pre-nuptial agreement to anyone that
would be my bride to be. it is very dehumanizing experience i would encounter.
i would rather marry somebody would trust me (do i look like a con man?)
whatever i have to offer. i would marry the RN (retired nanny) than signing
pre-nuptial agreement.
in my little experience long time ago, a well to do family had given me a hard
time accepting me as well-suited for their daughter. of course we broke up.
that give me a lesson in life about family acceptance. don roberto would
never accept maya no matter what. maya has different feather and they don’t
flock together. (maya and birds of paradise don’t get along)
now, it is settled that we are with richard all the way.
for the sake of argument (there you go again willand with your wild imagination),
i am for a second, don roberto, i know i am greedy but if it would happen to me
with my daughter. i would think the same way as don roberto. like the new boyfriend
of my daughter just suddenly come into our lives and this guy would inherit what i
have work for so hard. there is always some doubts whether this fellow is good
enough for your children. to hate don roberto now would mean that you are looking
only on your side of the story not his view. i know that he is wrong but sometimes
we are also of guilty thinking this way to our own children.

Manang Fe Senses Trouble
The kids arrived home. Manang Fe greeted them. Abby excitedly told her that they ate so much food. Nikki holding her stomach said she thinks she is never going to be hungry for a week. Ha ha (that is how I feel after the local seafood buffet here…even though I say I will just have one plate, I end up eating more than I should.) Luke told Manang Fe they brought something for her. She was pleased. He holds the brown bag up for her to see. Nikki went ahead upstairs. Manang Fe asked what is the matter with her? Luke said it is just that she ate too much. He tells Abby to go on because he will bring Manang Fe’s food to the kitchen for her. The kids exits the scene. In comes Don Roberto. Manang Fe smiled at him. He didn’t acknowledge her but he just kept going. Dona E followed, Manang Fe looked at her and senses something is the matter. She asked Manang Fe if Richard made it home yet? Manang Fe said no but she thought they were all together? Dona E shakes her head and lets out a big sigh. Manang Fe knows now that something must have happened.
Kaya gusto ko dito, GV lang KBL lang kahit minsan red emoticin na ang lumalabas at pinapakidnap na ang mga ayaw natin sa mga kaganapan,
happy at ayos pa rin tayo…
Di ko magets yung sobrang nega na mga tao… they can always voice naman their opinions about the show, but there’s a better way of doing it rather than resort to bashing… at kung hindi nanonood ng show, tumahimik na lang! to each his own naman eh… buti talaga, love love love lang tayo dito..
now, wala na akong masasabi. i never thought of that brilliant idea.
to sign the pre-nup for the sake of the children and protecting their
interest would be a good move of maya beyond i imagine.
how could don roberto object to that. by hearing this from maya,

Sir Chief will remain immovable. He won’t let Maya sign one. However, Maya will insist. After all, she will see that she is the heart of the issue.
Knowing her, she wants to clear her reputation as fast as possible. She will explain this to Sir Chief and he will eventually relent.
At the bay walk, Maya and Richard walks. (ha ha Winnie you are silly…of course they will walk the bay “walk” ha ha) Maya still holds on to the brown bag of bbq sticks. Richard grips two bottled water on his left hand, still wearing a brown belt and his blue shirt. Maya offers Richard another stick of bbq isaw. Richard asked her if it’s the last stick? “Uh hm” Maya said chewing because she just took a bite of the bbq. It’s all yours she said. He said no and that Maya could have it. Maya said, “You don’t fool me. I know you didn’t have enough yet.” She feeds him again as he takes a bite. Maya entices him again and said, “it tastes good doesn’t it?” (all right, ok Maya we get it. It tastes good geese!) Richard said “It’s ok.” To Maya’s surprise she reminded Richard. “It’s ok? Really? (counting the sticks) You had 8 sticks and you say its just ok?” she said. Richard laughed. He tells her she still ate more than him. Maya disagrees. After a moment, she changes the topic. She tells Richard that Dona E told her that Richard and Don R often have disagreements. Richard said yes. Maya asked him if they always patch things up right away? Richard said sometimes but sometimes it takes a while. “When was that?” Maya asked. “When he said no to his engagement with …..” Richard stops himself. He asked Maya if it is ok to continue with what he is about to say being it pertains to his past with Alex. Maya nodded yes. “When he said no to my engagement to Alex. We had a disagreement and we stopped talking to each other. It is only when Luke was born that we started to talk again.” Richard explained. “And you two patched things up?” Maya asked. Richard nodded. “There you go. There is a chance that you and him will get along again. You don’t need to count months or years. What’s important is you stay humble and be patient. I am sure that Don R would not be able to stand being mad at you.” Maya said with a smile on her face. Richard looked as if he felt much better with Maya’s advise. He let out his crooked one sided smile (which is to die for) and gave Maya a huge hug, head tilted to the side to feel every inch of her hug back to him. (Waaaaa…these two give each other the best hugs, I want to squeeze in between them so I could have a piece of Ser Chief ha ha The camera shot of the hug from far. Richard’s lower half is twisted away from Maya…just saying…mouth zipped…)
This Time She Means It
Back at the mansion, Doris sweeps outside the guest room. Don R walks in. She greets him. He ignores her. He goes inside the room and sits down on the sofa. Dona E walks in, Doris says hello, she ignores her. Dona E closes the door behind her. She drops her bag on the bed. She goes to the closet and takes a traveling bag. She goes back to get her clothes. Don R observes her. He stands up and asks her what is the packing all about? He asked what kind of drama is this? (Really Don R? you don’t really know why she is acting this way? I say I give her a trophy for staying married to you this long and I give you a bop on the head for how you are treating her.) Dona E tells Don R that she could not stand being embarrassed by him to Ricky anymore. She could not stay at his house after what happened. She then asked Don R if he does not care about what he has done? Don R argued that it was a mistake and he’s already fixed it. She yells at him and told him “That’s not enough.” Don R retorts, “It’s never enough when it comes to your son.” “Of course” Dona E yells at Don R. Outside the door, Doris hears them. She puts her ear next to the door to be sure. Her face soured. Inside the room, Dona E is so upset with him and threatened him and said that if he did not make up with Richard, she will be the first one to leave this house because of embarrassment to Ricky. Don R was visibly upset as well over what Dona E said. (Don R, the ball is back in your court. I hope this time, you do the right thing but I doubt it until I see what happens.) Doris rushes upstairs when Manang Fe catches her at the top of the stairs. Manang Fe asked her if she is done sweeping downstairs. She hesitantly tells Manang Fe what she overheard. She told her that they were arguing.

Richard takes Maya home. As he pulls into the driveway of the condo, he asked Maya if she really wanted to go home already? Maya patiently reminds him that he said she has a flight. Richard explained that he just wants to get out of the restaurant. “So is that all? You are not going to apologize to me after using me as an excuse?” Maya said but of course, just playing with Richard…just trying to keep the conversation light. Richard crooked smiled Maya and he grabs her face and plants a big wet one on her cheek (Waaaa Richard, she deserves a lip locking thrill for the efforts she’s done for you…geese). Maya was pleased with Richard. She made Richard promise that when he goes home, he isn’t going to fight with his father. Richard shook his head because he knows he simply could not tell how he will react toward his father when he sees him. But Maya was insistent. She wants him to promise. So in order to appease Maya, he promised. Maya smiled at him. And they embraced again. This time, Maya’s face became serious as if she is praying that they really would stop fighting. She closed her eyes and rubbed his back as if she is letting her love flow into Richard. Richard felt calm as they let go of each other. (What can I say???? The best hugs no?)
“Heart Attack” Food
In San Nicolas, Maya is on speakerphone telling them all about the food at the Royal Eats. She enumerates the food. Cho asked if there is roasted pig? Yep Maya said. How about crispy pigs knuckles? Yep Maya said again. Wow said Cho and Mamang. Kute reacted to these two who’s mouths seem to water from the talk of the food at the Royal Eats. Nanay T changes the subject and asked how Richard and his Father were at lunch? Maya said they were fine. Kute reminded Maya that if Richard’s father is mean to her, it is Richard’s responsibility to defend her. Maya tells Kute nothing of the sort happened. Ehman listens in to the conversation and knows that Maya was covering up the truth to keep peace. She asked them if they had already eaten? They said not yet so they ended the conversation. Mamang tells Cho to ask his Mom for the unhealthy “heart attack” food. Kute tells Mamang that she couldn’t give that to her. Mamang insisted to do it even just once. Kute teases Mamang that she already has excess fat on her neck so she shouldn’t ask for “heart attack” food anymore. They all laughed out loud. (This family is almost always happy together.)
Make Amends? Or Not!
At the mansion, Don R sits in the couch at the front room waiting for Richard. He is wearing this funky blue robe when Richard walks in the door. “Son” he calls out to Richard. “Pa” acknowledged him but no intentions to talking to him. He turns to walk up the stairs. “Ricky.” Don R calls him again. “What happened earlier…” he stutters. “It was a misunderstanding.” He explains. “No it wasn’t” Richard said. “You were that way with Alex. You always left her out when we had dinner. You declined her invitations.” Richard reminded him. “I changed.” Don R replied. “Yes, after Luke was born” Richard said obviously upset. Don R explained, “Look, I can’t change who I am or what I think just for…” “For me?” Richard asked. “Look Pa, it doesn’t matter because this is where I draw the line. If you can’t sincerely accept Maya as part of this family, then don’t make the effort.” Richard tells him. Manang Fe comes in the room from the kitchen. I don’t know if she was listening in to the conversation from behind the wall and wanted to intervene to stop the argument or she really just walked in the room. “Richard, you are home.” Manang Fe said. Don R looks at Manang Fe. Richard never took his eyes off of Don Roberto. He turned around and walked upstairs. Manang Fe follows him with her look. Then she turned to Don R and looked at him as well. He was visibly upset as well. Manang Fe knew it is happening all over again. The father and son are once more fighting about the woman in Richard’s life.
Grabeh na siguro stress ng creative team (pasaway din kasi yung ratings eh!)!!!
Siguro sis di lang ang writers nagnosebleed …… nalagas na rin ang mga hurrr nila, nagkanda ulcer na, heavy eyebags, drooling, todo migraine, palpitations, shortness of breath, hallucination, etc…….

Gusto ko yang sinusurprise nila tayo… mas matindi ang impact ng kilig sa tin kesa yung hyped. oks lang siguro na they tell us na may proposal na magaganap but don’t show us yet lahat ng scenes para andun yung excitement sa anticipation ng kung anong mangyayari… pag leaving nothing to the imagination na, nababawasan ang kilig!!!
Isa lang masasabi ko…there is really kilig in eating ISAW together .

Don R gets in bed with Dona E asking him if Richard came home already. She asks him if they talked. Don R didn’t say anything. Dona E insisted and asked him what happened. He turned to her and said, “Tomorrow, we leave.” “What?” She said. Maya asked Richard if he has spoken to his father? Richard tells her he needs to call her back because something came up. Richard looks out the upstairs rail to the front door and sees his father and mother walk out the door. Richard, with Manang Fe by his side asks his mother if they are going back to China? Dona E tells him they are just going to move to a hotel. Richard tells his mom they didn’t have to do that. Everything is ok. Is it? She asked him back. Richard couldn’t hide the truth from his Mom. Maya calls Kute to tell her she already bought Cho’s shoes and will be sending it to them tomorrow. She says goodbye because she will still check out her flight schedule. To Maya’s surprise, her flight is to San Nicolas. That got her all excited. (Hala Ka Maya. You know that by just one look at you, Nanay T is going to be able to tell that things are not right with you and Don Old Goat. But on the other hand this might be better because I think if she ever talks to Old Goat, she might be the only one to make him realize what kind of person you are and from what kind of family you came from. On the other hand, this might get Richard in trouble for not protecting you from his family. But if Kute and Nanay T only knew how much Richard is truly affected by this because he loves you so much. Oh well…. we’ll see what happens.) Richard brings coffee to his father (It looked like they didn’t leave for the hotel because Don R is back sitting in the living room). Richard begged him once more, to consider Maya as part of the family. Don R tells Richard that if he is truly considering marrying Maya that he will not stand in his way but there must be a prenuptial agreement. (Wow Don R, are you really saying what you are saying? You are really an old goat and I mean that emphatically!) Richard shook his head in disagreement. “I won’t do that” he said to his father. “Then we have nothing to talk about.” Don R said to Richard. He stands up from the couch and leaves. (He is so G R R R :/)

to say. i am your true admirer.
it has been awhile since i have eaten the intestine barbecue.
it used to be yummy to my taste before but after watching some
news about pork, taste goes out to the drain. pork has the tendency
to carry the worm that would infect your whole body especially
your brain. unless you are sure that it is cooked properly, then it
is safe. some of the eggs of the worm could survive unless again
cook thoroughly. i would not trust eating in the street vendor.
who knows whether the pig is already double dead.
but if i have a date like maya, i’d risk it than hurting her feelings.
that’s how richard loves maya. he would risk everything for her.

Don’t get me wrong here. I love the show and I like how they remind us of “what’s going on” in real life.
So, we asked that this show could go on forever because it gives us Good Vibes. I understand that there should be inserts “happenings” while relaying us a message. We know that “health” is a big issue world wide… but in this episode… why relay us the message by putting emphasis on the food while killing Mamang and Cho’s dream of eating greasy/fatty foods, while showing us that it’s okay for the SLIM kids to pig out! Nagkataon lang bang Malusog si Cho and Mamang? There are healthy malusog people naman, di va?

Then with the promise not to argue or fight with his father, when Richard gets home, the Don again was so insensitive, that face to face he practically said (though Richard finished the statement for him) that he cannot change who and what he is and what he thinks just for ….his only son, only child. That is a slap in the face and the Don’s reaction in the teaser is typical of a man who only thinks about his own feelings. The Don can even tell his own wife “your son” as if he is not involved. Yet, deep in Richard’s heart, he is still unable to turn his back on his father, he still needs his blessings – just as the teaser shows – because it is what Maya wishes that Richard’s father will accept her for Richard. It is sad because acceptance comes with a price as far as the Don is concerned sans people’s feelings. If Maya was of privileged background, the Don would have accepted her without question; maybe the connection will be good for future business endeavors.
Dona Esmeralda will always be with the Don even if she does not like what he has done. Though she is also embarrassed, she has given her life to her husband and that’s it. I guess she will just show her love and support in some other ways …… like Richard’s birthday.
On the teaser……Maya’s flight is to San Nicolas…….guessing game time: (a) will Don Julio be in the same flight? (b) Will he be accompanied by someone? and (c) Will the next episode finally reveal a connection to Maya?
Nikki watch out, you are being nosey with regards to Luke and you seem not able to just let it be ….. if you do not stop badgering Luke, he might start to think about you and might be able to piece together what has happened previously and he might get to know who mallows is….. Luke absorbs things, but does not think anything unusual about their everyday encounter with Nicolo as his bf and her sister, but if forced too, he can recall and pull in from his memory bank of episodes he can piece together and it will just take one slip of the tongue and it will trigger Luke to think.

I just wanna give a few comments on today’s episode.I love it that though the scene revolves around the friction between SC and DR, the episode gave us good feeling with the sweetness between Maya and SC..kahit paano there are more PDA na between the two so me pambawi sa di magandang kaganapan between SC and DR.Maya and Sir Chief should exercise more passion on showing their “sweet side” to each other thru body language.
Funny naman itong reservation kulang lang ng isang chair eh wala na raw silang chair. kailan nangyari iyon na nag pa reserve ka ng dinner at may kulang na isang chair para isama ang isang kasama sasabihin sa iyo na wala na silang silya. I do not think na they will eat out sa isang pipitsugin na restaurant dahil they are millionnaires. ginagawa nilang t a n g a ang nanonood. so nang maki pag arranged for additional chair biglang pwede kasi seguro na realized na kailangan mangyari na ma support ang request na additional chair dahil nga they are rich people and the restaurant can accommodate ang isang request for an additional chair.

Sabi nga ni DE at MF, nandyan naman sila lahat na pagsabihan si DR na Maya is the best thing that happened to not just Ser Chief but the whole family! Kaya DR ha? Open your eyes na (the right way hihihi)…
Dun naman sa brod talk, parang nalito ako dun sa thought process ni brod ryan pero you know what at the end of the day, mukhang naintindihan ni ser chief na he has to make bawi and make alone time with the GF!… at hopefully it will be enough! Kaya ayan, the date! Yippppeeee with the sunflowers some flowers!!!
