Very big on PDA (too busy socializing thus probably so-so on the Private side). Probably has a 50/50 chance of charming Don R by considering a ‘child by accident’, but not out of a prenup. Will probably get rid of Manang Fe and send the 3 kids off to boarding school as soon as she can.Candidate #2 – Atty. Gee: Modern Woman. Totyal. Smart. Not as shameless as Stephanie in going after her man. Probably not as big on PDA either (too career driven). Very good chance of charming Don R because she will draft the prenup herself knowing she can easily have it turned after marriage. Will not need a ‘child by accident’. May leave the raising of the kids solely to Richard.Candidate #3 – Hanna: Modern Woman. Totyal. Persistent. Probably very good at PDA (public and otherwise). Will have a tough time with Don R but will grudgingly go along with a prenup then consult with Atty Gee afterwards. May end up competing with the kids for Richard’s attention.
Candidate #4 – Ina: Modern woman. May pagka-totyal. Dense. May be offended by a prenup IF she notices it. Probably very good at PDA (public and otherwise) because she’s in the US and pregnant, all within 5 months of being jilted by Ser Chief… Will probably not worry about Don R because she’ll happily be ready with a ‘grandchild by accident’ for him to include in his will.
These Modern Women will not have problems with PDA (Public or Private). It’s probably Ser Chief who will. Privately, he is a gentleman who doesn’t play around and will not irresponsibly bring a child into the world. Publicly, he does have three children to consider, two of them, grown up. I believe Maya has also thought of that. There is nothing wrong with mature love as opposed to lust. Then again, there’s this saying that goes… ‘silent waters run deep’. Just because we don’t see it doesn’t not mean it isn’t there.
Many have written rejoinders on clamors for more PDA on morning shows. They have said it best. Jan Cerizo also wrote a beautiful piece on ‘PDA’ last June 04. Check it out.

Oh by the way, thanks for pointing out the piece on “The Lover’s PDA” on June 4. I did go there to read it. Surprisingly, even though it was written over two months ago, the message is still quite relevant, even applicable to our current episodes. Toot! Toot! ha ha ha.

RAINBOW

A rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the sun shines and light is passing through the droplets of moisture in the Earth’s atmosphere causing refraction taking the form of a multicolored arc. The rainbow is a beautiful symbol representing God’s promise to mankind that never again will he bring destruction to earth by a deluge. It is a symbol of peace and represents a very important covenant that he made with mankind – “My rainbow I do give in the cloud and it must serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” (Gen 9:12-16). It is one of nature’s glories which symbolize peace, of hope and yearning… or a promise of new beginning; of something good and bright is going to happen; a sign of good luck; good fortune is on its way.
In Friday’s episode, or the whole week for that matter, the story had been too clouded with so much negativity that even in the forum, we had been reading so much negative comments, proof that we too had been so affected in a very negative way the way the story was unfolding… but much as we all wanted the kilig moments, happy events making us smiling from ear to ear, life is simply a mixture of all that…for how can we appreciate a smile if we never knew how frowning felt… how can we be happy if we had no idea what sadness is all about… how can we be united if we never been divided and isolated… how can we know joy if we never know sorrow… may we always be reminded that always, there need to be that balance even in life… there is darkness to pave the way for the day… after the storm will always be clear sky… and after the rain, the rainbow will always be there to welcome a bright day… filled with hope… a promise of good things coming…

Like any ordinary family, even the Lims are not spared of disagreements and conflicts, for that’s just the way life is. Sometimes, old wounds are accidentally resurrected when similar incidents resurfaces for after all they too are just human… sometimes people forget, when the pain is just too much, the hurt is pushed behind, put in a dormant state waiting for its reawakening only to surface when the time is right so that a final resolution can be made in order to put everything behind once and for all. Richard seemed to have nurtured that pain for so long that he couldn’t seem to forgive his father for an old conflict that prompted him to stand by the woman he loved and turned his back on his family. And as this same predicament seemed to reemerge, DR is again interfering with his son’s personal affairs and he just may be concerned for his son and his grandchildren’s welfare after all, he needed to be the voice of reason for this family as Richard seemed to be putting so much weight in the emotional side of things. For how far should a father intervene into the life of his son, where do parents draw the line? Was it wrong for one father to put into the open issues that may affect his son’s family and his future? Was it wrong for a father to meddle if children are at stake?
Oh siya, sige na nga. Kung mauuwi sa LQ nila Mya at SC ang conflict ni SC kay DR, so be it. Sana lang, yung LQ na nakakakilig.
Type ko yung panakaw na kiss ni SC kay Maya. Sa real life, meron din kaya? Baka hindi panakaw, baka patago? Peace po sa mga kinauukulan. Pinapakilig ko lang ang sarili ko.

While two opposing minds are in quandary and not meeting eye to eye, life still balances it with the pleasure of quality time with the younger generation… of grandparents spending quality time and sharing good stories and even great laughter with the grandchildren as DR and Luke, Nikki and Abby shared stories and laughter and a promise of more fun even when they will momentarily be apart. For no matter what the adult Lims are going through, they are one to agree that the children be spared of all the negativities that’s going on and they should instead be loved and cared for and good memories be made while the grandparents are on vacation. The adults can deal with their conflict without sacrificing the children and their relationships with their father and their grandparents.

And as for Maya, it’s but a nice refuge having to be able to see her family even for a little time to breathe as she had been subjected to a lot lately, having to seek the approval of SC’s parents, DE and now DR. For even the strongest will have to take a breather, recharge before regrouping again to face the battle again. She needed to get reconnected with her center of balance where she is the happiest among her beloved family where she can feel all the love she needed before going back to the same scrutiny she had been in the last few days. For no matter what negative things are happening, the love of family, her Nanay Teresita and Kute can erase any hint of sadness in her heart for the unconditional love of one’s mother and family, the smile, the hugs are far more enough to ease the pain… the burden she is carrying.
Haaay salamat…normal ang reaksyon ni Kute at ni Nay Teresita… hindi ko keri ang optimism ni Maya!

THE MOTIVATING FACTOR
Much has already been said about the disagreement between father and son. Everybody has weighed in on the prenuptial issue argumentum ad nauseam. So, I have decided to tackle something else altogether. I would like to offer my theory on why Maya’s patience, especially when it comes to Don Roberto, seems too capacious. She readily becomes Mother Teresa of Calcutta, willing to forgive, eager to understand, and long on forbearance in her dealings with him.
Maya grows up under the loving guidance and able tutelage of Nanay Teresita. Although she is raised without a father, she never once complained. Maya goes about life without a perceptible iota of bitterness, she simply accepts her fate. Or does she? A comment she makes in this episode, when she tells Richard to control his emotions towards his father and to be more understanding of him, effectively addresses a hint of emotion that she has safely guarded for over two decades now. She has successfully kept this part of her heart sealed for fear of unintentionally hurting her mother. She is afraid that she too may crack and crumble at its weight if she ever acknowledged its existence. Maybe, she may not even be aware it is there. But being in the presence or the shadow of a father, albeit Don Roberto, not her own but still he essentially represents a figure that has been missing from her life, the ache of not having had the chance to grow up with one, unwittingly peeks out from her innermost sanctum where she conceals her deepest and most delicate secrets. Being in the presence of Don Roberto has obviously released some of those pent up emotions that she has carefully hidden. Hence, vicariously, she showers Richard’s father with all the love, respect, understanding and patience as if she is pouring all of this tenderness to her missing Tatay. Moreover, she urges Richard to savor the time that he presently has with his Dad, gently reminding him that the latter is getting old and that he should maximize his time with him because he is scarcely around since he lives abroad. Thus, she lovingly admonishes him, that instead of pushing his Dad away, he should enjoy his company. She diligently works to mollify his anger. She wants him pacified so that he may be open to a civil discussion with his Dad. Maya feels Richard is blessed that he has a father. She wishes hers is still around for whether she admits it or not, a part of her feels deprived that she doesn’t know what it feels to have one.
Primarily this feeling colors Maya’s interaction with Don Roberto. Basically, she treats him with the utmost respect. Admirably, she readily excuses his shortcomings. Remarkably, she tolerates his impertinence. Commendably, she forgives him easily. And she is quick to give him the benefit of the doubt. In his presence, she seems docile and passive. However, we know her far better than that. She has never been wimpy or feeble, for she could not have achieved her dreams had she not been strong-willed, focused, determined and bold. How she currently deals with the audacious and insolent elder Lim is simply an exercise in self-control, discipline and good breeding. Actually, I strongly believe, she treats him well, not just because she was raised to respect her elders, but simply, because she wants to honor the memory of her own father, the one she sorely misses. This is the reason why, she compensates, maybe a little too much, in her favorable dealings with the uncouth old man.
Hay, uliyanin na ata si DR!!! Sino kaya ang makapagbukas ng mga mata niya? Si Maya pa kaya???? Sana, there will be a heart to heart talk that will bring about a change of heart kay DR. Yan ang namiss ko sa BCWMH ngayon. Hindi kasi sila nag-uusap ng masinsinan eh. In addition, may pagkadense pa ang mga Lim. Remember, it also took a long time for SC to realise his feeling for Maya? In the same way, DR cannot recognise the most important things in life. Sana may makapagturo sa kanya kung ano ang importante sa buhay which is ang kaligayahan ng pamilya niya na hindi nakukuha sa pera. Sana magkaroon na ng twist para bumalik na ang GV!! Ang tagal na ng conflict nito, masakit sa heart!!

Wow, HW sis, nice topic in your offering for Friday’s episode.You probably explained quite profoundly where Maya is coming from the way she could be forgiving and opened to DR giving him all the benefit of the doubt and seeing the good in him. Yes, I can definitely agree with you that even if there may have been resentments on Maya’s part that had been lodged into the deepest of her conscious mind, fact is she still longs for her father in spite and despite of his shortcomings and his abandonment of his family leaving the Dela Rosa family without a husband and a father… Although there might be resentments, she still longs for his father, and that longing and that love still remains strong and she very well wanted to open Richard’s mind and heart to honor and respect his father and give him that love esp now that his father is at the dawn of his life, getting older and the fact that they only have limited time to spend should not be wasted on old hurts and pain but rather, in nurturing and spending quality time while he (Richard) still can.
Thankee sis for this insight from another perspective. May we all see all the sides so we get to understand better where everyone is coming from… GV GV pa din!!! Kapit Bisig pa din pag me time!!!
Yung tampuhan ni Maya at SC feeling ko sandali lang yun at magtatampo lang naman si maya kasi hiindi sinabi kaagad ni sc sa kanya na umalis na ang parents ni sc sa bahay nila… yun ang feeling ko… super excited na rin sa birthday party ni sc… GVGVGV lang & tiwala sa writers ng show… pasasaan ba at magiging ok din ang takbo ng story.
Tingin ko puede naman isabay ang teleserye at ang shooting sa movie. di ba si Jodi nakapagfilm ng indie film while showing ang BCWMH? at isa pa sabi ni Jodi, wala lang naman BCWMH habang lumalabas ang movie sa MMFF so I suppose tuloy ang ligaya.
HW, you hit the bullseye better than William. So in awe of how you simply put your thoughts into words. Maya indeed has some deep seated emotions for her missing father. Unlike Kute, she is masking her anger and resentment at her father for running out on his family; no matter the hurt she’s feeling, she deeply loves and misses him. She is also not willing to give in to her pain in order to stay strong for her beloved Nanay T and the whole family. The respect and docility she shows on Don Roberto is her own way of convincing herself, of giving her own father the benefit of the doubt and to better understand her own father’s actions.

“It Has Nothing To Do With Maya”
DonR has repeatedly communicated this to SC, and it just dawned on me, that he is right…”it has nothing to do with Maya.” It has everything to do with his flawed belief, and his myopic view of people less fortunate than he. He sees the thorns before the roses, and he looks at the bad, before the good. He has judged Maya unfairly, before he had sufficient knowledge of her.
Often times there are causes for a warp and distorted minds, which if we understood them, would make us pity others, and be more patient with them. We do not know what troubles people have, what secret sorrows they are going through or have gone through, which so heavily weighs upon their hearts as to affect their disposition, beliefs and conduct. We have no knowledge of DonR’s journey through life and how he accumulated all his wealth. But if he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, explains the lack of experience in the struggle of one like Maya, which makes him incapable of sympathy. He has never known a care nor felt the pinching of poverty and cannot understand the experience of the poor. Thus, making him unfit to cast judgment on Maya.
“It Has Everything To Do With Maya”
“Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you”, is a verse that reminds me of how Maya relates to everyone she encounters in her daily life. She is the opposite of DonR, in that she sees the good in everyone and never thinks ill of anyone. In the end it will be her love, patience, kindness, joy, faithfulness and self-control that will bring peace between DonR and SC. It will not be anything she said, but it will be the example that she set for them. She never tires of telling SC to be patient with his dad and to understand him and not to argue with him, because she knows that gentleness will produce gentleness. Her heart is full of love, and with all sincerity she desires for SC to do what’s right because she knows that it will bring joy and peace between the two men.
As Maya has done, we should train ourselves, therefore to see the good, not the evil in others. We should speak approving words of what is beautiful in each other, not bitter, condemning words of what may be imperfect or unlovely. We should look at others through the eyes of love, not through the eyes of selfishness. We should seek to heal with true affection, the things which are not as they should be.

I am familiar with prenup not from my husband’s family but his lawyer. it was casually brought up ( he was doing his job, i know). My husband did not want it and that was the end of the story. I was stunned at first but I would have eventually understood. It can be offensive but DR has a point ( I can’t believe I’m saying this about him). Nobody knows what will happen, even Maya does not know. This is very true. To protect and preserve what generations have worked hard for is not a crime, only trouble is there’s only a small percentage of people in this bracket that it’s hard to comprehend. It is not the rich’s fault they think this way and it’s not the end of the world if there’s a prenup. Not condoning looking down on anyone. I’m proud of Maya for keeping her poise throughout this turmoil. Three things we can always count on are change, death and the IRS or BIR.
I think SC and DR just need to live the lives they knew before Maya and leave it at that. Not happening. You would think when one reaches a certain age that he would have gained the wisdom to discern what life is really all about…not holding my breath on DR. I think one of the grandkids should start noticing and ask DR about it. Then it’ll get interesting. In the meantime, I need to excuse myself. Better yet, I need a life. I totally agree with you Flordeliza. I’ve been married for 31 years, and I’ve done what you did. My husband’s family is big, 11 siblings with my husband as the eldest. There’s always a conflict going on with the siblings. I stay out of their business and just give my support to my husband. My husband respects my opinion and it’s lovely to hear when he tells his siblings, “my wife said this or my wife said that”.
So Maya, just be there for Ser Chief. But I give you a star Maya for expressing what you feel to Ser Chief. He needs to know what’s on your mind, but don’t get upset at him for not doing what you want. Don’t push him too far, his relationship with his dad is deep rooted, and you don’t know what Ser Chief has been through growing up. Sa usapang ratings naman. I am working for a company na isa sa mga top advertisers and all I can say is that BCWMH is still doing really well in the ratings game. Yes, it dropped from the usual 25% to 22-23% pero tama ang sinabi nyo dati, dahil kay real life kaya nangyari yan. Remember that ratings were still at round 24-25% just before school started? Don’t worry alam ng network at naming mga advertisers na normal na takbo yan. Kahit ibang daytime shows, bumaba rin since school started.
Now, if you still would like to ignore this valid reason on the ratings issue, just think na with all the ka-busy-han ng mga tao plus yung mga iba who stopped watching the BCWMH plus the so-called dragging storyline these days, nasa above 20% pa rin ang ratings nila, aba, they are doing really well nga even at their “worst”. Tingin ba naming advertisers may fall out ng viewership? Yes, it’s natural but the drop isn’t significantly affecting the standing if the show. In short, BCWMH still maintains solid viewership. Dadami ba ang endorsements ng actors nila kung hindi?
Yes, and I would like to stay positive that the people behind the show will always seek means on how to improve it and always aim for the best. It was just worth noting na, surprisingly, a solid group of people still stick to the show even in its “down times”. Nakakatuwa lang isipin na for the addicts, alarming na ang below 23% rating pero yung ibang daytime shows, ni hindi pa umaabot dun. With the reported extension of the show, we will still encounter a lot of ups and downs, but I am looking forward to the things that BCWMH still has to offer. 🙂

Back to the cool off topic. This is a good time to do this since Maya is slightly distant anyway and all of a sudden really hazy in her thinking. She needs time away for clarity. and to find her truth.The Lims have a lot to resolve from their past. Maya should work on her self esteem. The world is not out to get you, girlfriend. You are not the reason and the cause of things amiss all the time nor can you come up with all the solutions to the world’s problems either with your kasabihans (ugh). DR will have an issue with any girl that’ll come around. He will have this issue with his grandchildren’s future spouses! This is a deep rooted belief, there will not be an easy resolution unless he accidentally falls off a cliff without his will drafted. What are the chances of this?
So Maya, stop playing the culprit and stop victimizing your love life by not being the girlfriend SC should have. Concentrate… Focus… and stop staring at your cell phone for the next text, for crying out loud!!! So sad that this is so important to you. I agree 100% with your take on this G Isaac!!!! I suppose every character in the show has room for character improvement and so here and now, it’s Maya’s turn to be reproved. I have always felt the amount of affection displayed between the lovers is minimal and I have tried to justify the several possible reasons why they skimp on that while it could be well vested in keeping the kilig factor for this love tandem and therefore string us all along for the duration of this teleserye and beyond. I just feel that the faithful followers of this beloved teleserye are easily pleased such as the two barely lip lock scene have proven, why o why don’t they help out the story with more lambing. Just like you said, when lovers miss each other, it should be expressed!
Back to DR’s situation, the old man should be exonerated from all the harsh judgment on him. If we have been told by SC that it doesn’t really matter what the parents’ opinion was, then that’s just the way it is! DR’s claim on his business minded concern is legitimate and really is not a personal attack on Maya.
Please check Jodi Sta. Maria’s take on pre-nuptial agreements. But of course it makes for a good source of conflict which is necessary to keep this teleserye alive. In a way, it’s a good platform for people to be educated. SC can create different provisions to circumvent pre nuptials and create a more secure financial tomorrow for his future family with Maya. Buy of course the show has to depict again the social divisions that induces feelings of distrust and greed.

Sorry for invading your thread. Silent reader ako for months now pero dahil sa usapan nyo on the ending and ratings, napalitaw tuloy ako. In fact, I even created a PEX account just to be able to post tonight. Napansin ko kasi na medyo malungkot ang atmosphere tonight, so might as well spead good vibes by sharing what I know.
Sa usapang ending ng pinakamamahal nating teleserye, hindi ko alam kung bakit wala masyadong nakapansin sa YouTube video link of their Butuan show na pinost dito. Andun pa naman ang sagot sa katanungan nating ito. According to JSM, BCWMH will not air while the MMFF movie is being shown. RY also said that we should watch the movie para maintindihan natin yung kasunod. JSM added na babalik sa ere ang BCWMH after the movie is shown. With these statements I conclude that BCWMH Book 1 may end in December, shortly before MMFF, and that they will indeed come back for the Book 2 after the movie. So hopefully, tuloy ang ligaya!!!
Naging dahilan din ito why we thought BCWMH will end soon- Can they shoot the movie while taping for the teleserye? Apparently, yes, mahirap man for them. During their anniversary interview, RY and JSM mentioned that they are preparing for this kasi they will be shooting for the movie during the days na free sana sila at walang taping. Marami na namang nakagawa nito. Even Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo who are doing Got To Believe and will be doing the MMFF entry Pagpag, ay mapapasabak sa ganitong set-up.
Sa usapang ratings naman… I am working for a company na isa sa mga top advertisers and all I can say is that BCWMH is still doing really well in the ratings game. Yes, it dropped from the usual 25% to 22-23% pero tama ang sinabi nyo dati, dahil kay real life kaya nangyari yan. Remember that ratings were still at round 24-25% just before school started? Don’t worry alam ng network at naming mga advertisers na normal na takbo yan. Kahit ibang daytime shows, bumaba rin since school started.
Now, if you still would like to ignore this valid reason on the ratings issue, just think na with all the ka-busy-han ng mga tao plus yung mga iba who stopped watching the BCWMH plus the so-called dragging storyline these days, nasa above 20% pa rin ang ratings nila, aba, they are doing really well nga even at their “worst”. Tingin ba naming advertisers may fall out ng viewership? Yes, it’s natural but the drop isn’t significantly affecting the standing if the show. In short, BCWMH still maintains solid viewership. Dadami ba ang endorsements ng actors nila kung hindi?

But it pays also to listen to the viewers and not to be too comfortable with those numbers and endorsements. If the trend is going down, then it’s a telling sign.
Not to be alarmed, but something of a wake up call that something must have been missing as compared to the episodes in the past.
I don’t believe that viewers will settle for the so called ‘worst’ and will let it pass for a long duration. We can overlook say 2-3 weeks of worst episode at most. Maybe some of us, more than that pa.
Overall, loses pa ren kahit na you think that the drop is not significant enough to affect the show.
Yes, and I would like to stay positive that the people behind the show will always seek means on how to improve it and always aim for the best. It was just worth noting na, surprisingly, a solid group of people still stick to the show even in its “down times”. Nakakatuwa lang isipin na for the addicts, alarming na ang below 23% rating pero yung ibang daytime shows, ni hindi pa umaabot dun. With the reported extension of the show, we will still encounter a lot of ups and downs, but I am looking forward to the things that BCWMH still has to offer. 🙂

Initially, she uses diplomacy to affect positive behaviors in her Lim men while with great sensitivity, she lovingly counsels Maya. However, both husband and son prove to be prideful and staunchly stubborn. Her gentle reproof essentially lands on deaf ears. Consequently, she decides to apply her time-tested maneuver to get both of their attention. She stages her disappearance. She knows that this will definitely bring her men together. At first, both will get into a state of panic. Then, they will undoubtedly cooperate with each other to locate her. Finally, when they will find her, they will be so contrite and so regretful that she will be able to negotiate anything and make her own demands. Without question, to appease her, the two will listen to whatever she says. Without a doubt, she knows that her husband and her son will eventually have a meeting of the minds. This is a fact she can happily take to the bank.
Upset that her son is being bullied in school, Kute allows her cool head to prevail and calmly approach the bully’s mother. Apparently, the mother is so appreciative of the tact with which Kute handled the situation that the she has no choice but to return the grace and mercy she just experienced from the latter. Ronron’s mother effectively deals with his impertinence and probably severely castigates him as evidenced by his remorseful attitude the next time he saw Cho in school. It is a heartwarming scene to see this bullying issue resolved positively. All because Kute delicately approaches the issue and tactfully handles the situation.
To close, conflicts when handled respectfully and positively can end beautifully. Conflicts cannot be avoided. However, it is important not to let disagreements linger but to immediately address the issues creating the discord and resolve to find the solution. Lastly, conflicts are opportunities for growth and they should thus be embraced and welcomed.

My shout out yesterday was well deserved. Your psychoanalysis of Maya was correct, hindi lang tsamba. That weighed big on her reaction to SC and DR’s tiff. While they are both in a bit of a bind towards each other right now, the bigger issue is the father and son relationship. It’s not a matter of taking sides, but rather in resolving a conflict that goes deeper than merely protecting her. The two Martians are just not coming from the same planet. To take sides in a family matter is dangerous and like DE to her Martian, she can only speak with her Martian about it. I hope she soon does. And now I am back to panic mode. Hiiiyaa!!!

My favorite part in this episode is when SC thought that his visitor is Maya. He sounded so excited when he said, “Maya!” Then, his excitement dissipated when he saw his mom. Kawawa naman si Dona Esmeralda kasi she knows that pangalawa na lang siya sa puso ni SC. I just realized that I really need to spend more time with my boys while I am still #1 in their lives right now. lol! My second favorite part is when Nicolo looks for chubby cheeked friends of Nikki. I thought that is so funny and I also wondered if Luke will finally see that Nicolo likes Nikki.
I hope that Dona Esmeralda’s ploy to get the father and son reconciled will work so that SC & Maya will get back together, too! Happy, happy ulit! SC & Maya, magbati na kasi kayo. I am looking forward to the day na bati na kayo and there will be lots of make up kisses and hugs!

There is no better salve for heartache than the wise counsel of a loved one. We are reminded that we can be better than we are. We need not be trapped by our hurt. “Buti nga kayo, eh si SC po wala”. Parang Maya is given na a premonition of things to come if she becomes SC’s wife. Well, who said everything would be perfect? Kaya nga Love is blind eh kasi you have to accept the person, including his strengths and weaknesses. The problem here is how Maya and SC will adjust to each other’s personalities. Parte naman talaga yan ng married life. One has to make compromises along the way kasi kung ang dalawa magmatigasan eh di walang mangyayari.
As to who needs to text first???? I would like it to be Maya coz wala naman talagang kasalanan si SC this time, dapat suyuin ni Maya this time si SC just like what SC did during the harana days when SC then was the one at fault. Para naman patas ang laban!!! And it would at the same time, be Maya’s gift to SC on his birthday…yung ipakita kay SC na mahal niya ito coz at this point, nagdududa na si SC sa pagmamahal ni Maya.
What happened to Maya? For her role to be adorable again like the first few weeks of the show, she needs a major attitude overhaul and a triple shot of B12 for energy. All of a sudden she thinks the world revolves around her? Persecution complex? What is her deal? When did she ever let her pride get the best of her? SC is going to have a time with her all his life. She has issues more serious than SC and DR combined. That girl is emotionally drained from giving. Everybody tried to dip in Maya’s bucket all her life. That’s only because she allowed them. Maybe she did not know any better. Has it ever occurred to her that not everybody drinks the Kool aid from San Nicolas? People argue and it’s not your fault, Maya. Get over yourself and go back to being sweet and funny. I can’t even think of how you’re going to dig yourself out of this rut. Seriously…
On a lighter note, no luck with stargazing tonight. No shooting stars to make a wish to. I enjoyed being outside on my porch looking at the clear Texas sky in a ranch in the middle of nowhere thinking my view is not too shabby compared to SC’s veranda view. I love that…

Pero what’s really ironic is that nag-aawayan na si SC at Maya, nagtatampo na si DE sa kanya, pero DR is still oblivious and really doesn’t care what is happening with his family! As long as he has his money and his business, okay na siya! Aba eh, ang laki ng problema ng taong eto!! Scrooge mentality talaga siya!!
But no matter his effect on SC and Maya’s lives, Maya and SC should learn how to band together and support each other in facing problems such as this. Tama si Kute, di dapat sila matitinag in the face of these trials otherwise, baka magkatotoo ang ina assume ni DR na puede mangyari sa kanila.

I guess ABS-CBN is just playing it by ear. Siempre kung kumikita pa ang BCWMH why should they stop a winning venture? Kaya depende talaga sa audience kung pinapatronise pa ang show. As of now, maybe the frenzy is no longer the same as when it started pero may mga loyal followers pa naman.
Atty Ryan and Kute are of the same mind……Richard and Maya must not allow pride to take over or they ruin what they have. Maya is still not doing it, I hope she goes into resolution mode because on the teaser, the following day is Richard’s birthday already.

They have never won in the noontime ratings game like this before. As to the frenzy, natural na up and down yan. I personally think, however, that once SC and Maya gets married and start living in the same house, mas marami pang kilig and comedic scenes that could be explored- things that could have been missing in the episodes since Maya left the mansion and that could bring BCWMH into a new level of frenzy.
That is so true…once they get married and live in the same house & sleep in the same room….there must be a level up in the Maya/SC relationship but still in the RomCom theme.

Good question. Sometimes I think Maya is too good to be true. This is why I like SC’s character because he is quite flawed and I do understand where he’s coming from. The “magapakumbaba” lecture from Maya i just can’t relate with, I think that SC has the right to stand his ground and show his Father is wrong to judge other people based on money alone.

Maya: Ay nako hindi po Tita….ano po ba ang nangyari? Bakit po kayo umiiyak?
DE: Nag-away kami ni Roberto.
Maya: Po?
DE: Yeah in fact, I transferred na nga ng place eh.
Maya: Ha! Saan po? Asan po kayo? Tita…alam po ba ito ni Ser Chief?
DE: Hindi…don’t tell him please…I just want some time and space away from them.
Maya: Pero tita, nag-iisa ka lang po diyan…asan po ba kayo? Pupuntahan ko po kayo.
DE: I will tell you…but you have to promise me that hindi mo sasabihin sa kanila.
Maya: Opo, promise po tita.
Everyone in a relationship goes through a stage when partners undergo some problems or misunderstanding. Conflicts between two distinct individuals with diverse values and beliefs are bound to happen at some point though that’s just natural, but there are certain things one needs to accept and live with when being with someone, for sometimes it could hurt the other person and both can end up deeply affected, depressed or rejected. Problems or conflicts are due to a number of reasons and usually these occur when expectations are not met for each come into the relationship with certain expectations primarily based on past experiences, childhood, their way of thinking or certain belief systems.
Maya and Richard’s current situation had been triggered by the worsening rift between Richard and DR and that affected their relationship as they had been frustrated with one another on how the situation should be resolved. As the father and son disagreement worsen and continued to be unresolved, the two lovebirds ended up having their own misunderstanding… not getting what each was trying to point out, not understanding or supporting where one is coming from. And even the elder Lims are joining in the bandwagon with their own fight which is an aftermath of the father-son rift. What started with a father-son (Richard-DR) rift led to a BF-GF (SC-Maya) LQ and ended up with a husband-wife (DR-DE) feud creating all the chaos, all the confusion and all the dark clouds looming on the Lim family.
Conflicts result from differences (big or small) and occur whenever people have opposing views over their values, motivations, perceptions, ideas or desires and more often than not, both feel they are right; both feel that their point of views are rightfully justified but what each is essentially trying to do is to show the other their side, to prove that one is right (and the other’s wrong), that one is within reason (and the other’s not). But beneath it all, what each is really striving for is to feel appreciated and validated, plain and simple… simply trying to let the other person acknowledge the other, wanting to value what one offers, what one thinks or believes in; wanting to be understood, nurtured and supported. When one is too consumed with wanting the other person to see their side; one is blinded in acknowledging the other’s point of view which is equally valid and understandable. For in every argument, there are two sides to every story – it is highly likely that both are partially wrong, and both are partially right. And if both continue to argue for their side, stand their ground, there will be no end to it… there will be no peace, no resolution only more cold treatment and more misunderstanding.
In any relationship, it’s not about having all we want, rather it’s about appreciating what we have, it’s about meeting at a common ground, discussing and compromising; sometimes when we disappoint someone we love, it only means we have tried… when we hurt, it only means we have indeed loved… and when we have endured the problems and walk past through them, that only means we have accepted, understood and learned… and hopefully, that will make the bond even stronger and more rooted, leading to better understanding, better appreciation, and deeper love and respect for one another.
After all, life isn’t meant to be easy… for it’s meant to be lived… sometimes happy, other times rough. But with every ups and downs; twists and turns, we see the opportunities, we learn the lessons that make us strong… for what makes us weak and vulnerable are the very things that make us stronger and invincible. And may we remember that happiness keeps us glowing, trials keep us strong, sorrows keep us all human, failures keep us humble but most importantly love keep us going.
And thank goodness that Maya is human after all…

I see other viewers are annoyed, bored, stressed out, nega na daw……Be patient my friends, I get those too but I still am glued, anticipating and second guessing what will happen next…ganyan naman talaga ang buhay e……hindi naman pwede puro kilig. Kung walang conflict wala din suyuan. Pag ganon e di wala din tayong bonggang kilig na aasahan 🙂 Sometimes in life we have to experience the negative side too in order for us to realize and appreciate the positive side.
I so love how the tampuhan blues between the 2 pairs are playing out (DE&DR, SC&Maya)….brings back memories 🙂 Now let’s wait and see how they will kiss and make up:)

I like what our new sis mentioned na how the writers show the similarities sa ugali na inherit ng characters sa parents nila. Same way ganun din ang tingin ko sa ngyayaring storyline kay Luke atsa short-hair ghel. Id like to think na ganun din si SC nun college sha. And he wont like na sha ang hahabulin ng ghel. Feeling ko type nya yung pinaghihirapan ang ghel. Traditional. Hihi. But who knows Luke might surprise us!

Waiting in vain sa texts or call ni Maya si SC… baka daw may problema sa network sabi ni brod Ryan kaya walang calls or messages. Mega-tawag pa si Liza sa office to check daw his network, SC is too serious na hindi nya napansin inaasar na sya ni brod Ryan.
Atty Ryan, baka mayproblema sa network kasi panay ang tingin ni singkit sa ph0ne nya.

Napagbintangan pa ang network dahil di nagtetext si Maya. pumapasok ang ibang messages pero just call the hotline pa rin si SC dahil hindi nagtetext si Maya! Ahahay!!!
My favorite episode is probably the Lims and Maya playing in the rain, to Aiza Segurra’s sweet accompaniment. The episode is all the sweeter for me because of the bitterness that sometimes intrudes on the story. Real life. And more.

it is more believable if what you’d be texting each other almost always is: “r u busy? can i call you?” and either of you,

i believe this is how it should be done in this age and time in SC and maya’s stature.

Your suggested text messages are excellent ones for SC and Maya to adapt and send to each other. It is so sad that nagmamatigasan silang dalawa. It is as if they are playing the children’s game called “Let Us See Who Blinks First”.

We have two days na masolve na ang katigasan ng ulo ni DR. please, please writers pakibukas ng mata ni DR regarding the pre-nup and the TRUST issue which as SC said is really the issue here.
Maya should also respect SC’s principle… besides, it’s their relationship, and DR though has good intentions should not interfere in SC’s decision…I guess SC is on the right track and Maya should do the first move to reconcile… pag usapan ng maayos…di sabihin nya na with or without prenup, walang magbabago..tapos ang kwento at tuloy na ang “Coboy partey” natin…sayang ang costume ko!!
Two days na lang dapat ang issue na eto. pero from the teaser, I think maresolve na ito. Natumbok na ni SC ang root of the problem. According to him, it’s a TRUST (not condom) issue ang problema ni DR. that the latter does not trust SC. At least natumbok na ang cause of the problem madali na lang yung solution. As for the away of Maya and SC, ibang problema naman siguro yan regarding their adjustment to each other’s traits. Looking forward to their kiss and make-up!! Dapat bonggang-bongga ang kiss and make-up na tipong pangtrending na may passionate kiss na dala at mahigpit na hug!!!

I hope after these major conflicts in the SC-Maya relationship, mas magfocus na ang story on the emotions you mentioned. Make the most out of the BF-GF stage muna dapat ang peg ng story. When the two get married naman later on, mas may time to focus on the family matters.
I totally agree… it would be different kung naging bastos si SC when he made his point to his dad. disagreeing with a parent’s opinion does not make a person wrong. he made his point directly but respectfully, i thought. besides, SC is a full-grown adult who lives his life and supports his family independently from his parents. He has a right to lead his life the way he wants. i think its wrong of DR to try to dictate how his son will plan his own future or how he intends to spend his money. from what i understand, SC built his own fortune, it wasn’t handed down by his dad to him.
And it’s a little manipulative on Maya’s part to act like she’s acting, without a resolution. buti kung meron siyang suggested solution to the conflict na ini-ignore ni SC. Eh wala naman. She demands SC to make peace with the dad tapos sinisisi niya si SC when that didn’t happen without asking what the other man is demanding. it’s like she expect SC to meekly agree to whatever his dad wants him to do without asking, ano ba gustong mangyari ng tatay mo?
All along tama rin naman pala ang statement ni DR lagi na…”its NOT about Maya!” or “I have nothing against Maya!” Ang issue pala talaga eh DR doesn’t trust SC!
And I think sa LQ between SC and Maya, si Maya ang dapat mag give in. May trust issue rin dito kung tutuusin, di ba dapat mas magtiwala si Maya sa decision or approach ni SC towards DR problem? Since mas kilala ni SC ang father nya.
Gaya ng sabi ni SC, it doesn’t matter kung di approve si Maya sa parents nya. He’d proven this already nung time nila ni Alex. Ngayon pa ba matatakot yan si SC na pinaghirapan naman nya lahat ng yaman nya ngayon?!!!

ANYWAY, if you will look closely naman sa story at character siguro ang pinopoint out lang ng writers dito at TAO LANG SI MAYA hindi SANTO. Nagkakamali din. Yung tipong hindi sa lahat ng bagay tama yung solusyon nya. Hindi sa lahat ng oras yung approach nya sa sitwasyon applicable to all. I hope dito papunta ang story.
Sana lang si Ricardo manindigan sa paniniwala nya para naman sya ang suyuin ni Maya. While it is good to always look at the positive side, pero pag ang ugali ng ama ay katulad ni Don Roberto, hindi pwedeng puro bait lang.
I am hoping that Maya will support SC decision on this situation kasi tama si Kute eh ikaw na pinaglalaban nag-iinarte pa sya. Buti na lang kamo mahal talaga sya ni SC kaya lahat palalampasin. On the other hand naman, if Maya will support SC in defying his father openly matutulad lang ang sitwasyon nila noong nangyari with Alex in the past. And we all know, Maya will not tolerate such situation. Kaya nga naiiba si Maya eh sa lahat ng babaing pinagpala.
The Lim family is one sure lucky family to have someone like Maya. Hindi mangyayari kay SC at Maya yung nangyari kay SC at Alex. She will make sure na kung ikakasal sila ni SC accepted na sya fully ni Don Roberto.

I don’t think mali si Maya at mali si SC sa kanilang paninindigan. Kay SC he believes he is fighting for Maya and their relationship but he is fighting alone they should be fighting together. SC should be open to Maya, let Maya in whatever the problem between him & his father.
In Maya’s part, she does not want to be the reason ang pagkasira ng relasyon ng mag-ama. She’s feeling guilty. Like what she said with Kute that she saw a very happy and closed relationship sa mag-ama noong bagong dating sila but that’s all turned sour because of her kaya pinipilit niya si SC na unawain na lang ang ama niya and give him time to know and accept Maya. Si SC kasi parang minamadali niya si DR to accept and embrace Maya. One more reason why Maya don’t want SC to loose his father is because she’s been through it, she grew up w/o a father and she was longing for it. The writers are trying to explain where is Maya’s coming from by mentioning his father a lot they even showing Maya’s face expressions when her father mentioned.
Exactly, their relationship supposed to be two ways but SC never share everything to Maya so that’s where the miscommunication and misunderstanding coming from.

It just means that you both value your relationship more than your egos.I try to live by this mantra so I think SC and Don R, you both should do it too. Ser Chief, I know that your relationship with your dad is strained becoz of what happened in the past but ikaw ang mas bata, and no matter what, kahit na you disagree with him, he would still be your father. He is old and has a few more years to go. Just stand your ground and make him aware of your intentions for Maya. Although it is important that you get his blessings , you really have to just be at peace with him and just go about doing your business. You don’t need approval from your dad to marry Maya…you are a grown man. At ikaw naman Don Roberto, you are a grown man yourself and had a full life, let your son live his life as well, the way he wants to. It is so funny coz both of you are acting like kids when you both are older than Maya. Para kayong mga engot! Eh si Maya nga has already moved on and is not even affected anymore kahit na siya ang reason kung bakit kayo nag aaway, eh bakit kayo ang tagal nyong mag move on? Eh si Maya nga can just let it go kahit na ilang beses na siyang inapi, bakit kayo hindi?You both need a dose of Maya’s positivity pill!
SC and Don Roberto, LET IT GO! Life is too short to stress about small stuff. I try to live by these words as well and believe me, it is liberating.
Plus, gusto ko uli silang mag kiss ni Maya and this looming problem is not helping with the PDA’s at all. And lastly, Maya, Maya, Maya…I don’t know how you do it but you are always upbeat and understanding and always try to see the good in each person, kahit na alam mo na medyo na agrabyado ka na. When I feel like complaining about doing a lot of housework, or had a bad day at work or just absolutely exhausted from life in general, I think of you and try to emulate you and by doing so, I feel lighter, and I feel like I don’t have that much of a heavy load to hurdle. You somehow kept me grounded. Ang sarap palang maging happy and positive all the time. You inspire me to be a better person and for that, I thank you.
