i am really getting sad because SC & Maya are still not talking to each other. I was hoping that one of them would give in and they will make up in today’s episode . I hope that the state of their relationship will be better on tomorrow’s episode. I am really getting upset at SC & Maya. They keep avoiding each other but deep inside they are longing for one another. What would it take for SC & Maya to get back together again? Will someone please make the first move? How come SC & Maya keep waiting for each other? They should both set aside their pride and talk things out. They are so infuriating!
The teaser is making me sadder. SC is giving Maya the cold shoulder treatment. SC, pansinin mo naman si Maya! Be happy that she greeted you on your birthday and she still came to your birthday. Why were you even worried and you even bothered Manang Fe whether Maya is coming or not when you don’t even have any plans of spending time with her? Aarrggh!

How did I get to be assigned to connect the dots! Nakakahiya naman because I don’t think I am capable of doing what you think I can do. There are others who are just as capable and definitely more up to the task than I. There is Galloping Marya V, Fr. Prof Dennis who initially comes to mind. MINKie Winnie and Doc Zel are also great at it. And the two of you are, too!!
Nevertheless, here is my quick take, just to humor you:

Don Roberto is highly PREJUDICED!
Wa ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Here is my extemporaneous take on this. PREJUDICED though he may be, I don’t believe that Don Roberto is really that bad of a person. As an octogenarian and realizing that he may not have as many years left in this world, I think he is just taking his role as the patriarch of the Lim family seriously. He is merely applying his astute business sense into helping his son manage his own family affairs. Since he can be more objective in his perspective on things, he is merely giving his son, who maybe too subjective in his sensibilities and too PRIDEful for his own good, some needed wise counsel. In his tactless ways, he is essentially challenging Richard to carefully discern his emotions apart from his desires so that he can effectively become more confident, fully convicted, firmly determined and totally resolute when he makes his important decisions regarding Maya. The old man is essentially advising the young man to let his head, not his gonads, do the thinking. If Richard takes the time to step back and use his intellect for a short while, and not be a prisoner to his emotions, he might just realize that his Dad is actually helping him fine-tune the calibration of his emotional connection to Maya. This whole exercise for him has actually served to cement his commitment to Maya and has definitely caused him to love and desire her with even more fervor. So after all this hulabaloo, as you aptly put it Tee Pee, Richard knows without a shadow of a doubt, that Maya is ultimately the only one for him. His Dad’s suggestion that he considers his other options basically made him realize that there can be no other alternatives. Maya is it for him!
Hence, he is getting ready for his killer move. The Mahal Na Hari is ready to make Maya his Queen. Abangan natin ang susunod na gagawin ng ating Mahal Na Hari. Siguradong susugurin na niya ang kanyang Mahal na Prinsesa at yayayain na niya itong magpakasal na!!!!
Hindi naka-costume si SC, suot nya yung shirt na bigay ng mga anak nya “WE love you daddy Chief”
Pero sana matutuhan ni SC ang maglambing, kasi nga siguro nagtampo rin si Maya kasi di ba may issue na nga siya kay SC, na siya palagi ang nauuna mag I Love You tapos ngayon di pa siya tinitext ni SC. Kung ako ang GF mafefeel ko rin na taken for granted ako.

Holding on to pent-up emotions can be quite challenging especially when those feelings want to be released. One’s body internalizes the stress and it essentially dictates that person’s behavior. Most of the time, the changes in a person maybe subtle but occasionally it could be drastic. Overnight, the sparkle becomes darkle. This is exactly what happened to Maya and Richard.
Maya is greatly affected by the rift in the relationship between her boyfriend and his father. In her eagerness to facilitate a reconciliation between the two, she initially encourages Richard to humble himself and basically concede to his Dad’s bidding. Unbeknownst to Maya, the situation is much more complicated than agreeing to plans for a dinner party. It requires that Richard acquiesce to his Dad’s preposterous demand for a prenuptial agreement, a matter that Richard fundamentally finds offensive and when applied to Maya, he finds it totally revolting. Hence, Richard is standing by his principles and protecting his relationship with his girlfriend when he stands up to his Dad. He absolutely refuses to comply with his demand that Maya sign a contract. On the other hand, Maya is virtually unaware of Don Roberto’s machinations, which Richard is embarrassed about and wants to prevent Maya from discovering his father’s plans. However, Maya is relentless in her efforts to help the two men resolve their differences. Subsequently, she firmly reminds her boyfriend to be obedient and be respectful to his elders and counsels him to effectively surrender his will to his Dad, without question. Consequently, she is disappointed when she learned that the Don and the Dona left Richard’s house and moved into a hotel as a result of a recent altercation between father and son. She feels that Richard has disrespected his parents and has completely disregarded her counsel. Ergo, she feels hurt. She responds by giving him the total silent treatment.
Richard is in a quandary and this frustrates him to no end. He loves his father and wants to give him his due respect as Maya ideally wants him to do. On the other hand, he loves Maya and to concede to his Dad’s demands is tantamount to allowing him to hurt the love of his life. Now both are upset with him. His Dad seems rankled while Maya seems distant. He knows not what to do. If he placates Maya’s feelings and give in to his Dad’s imposition, he will give his father license to disgrace her, in the process. If he remains stubborn and not give in, Maya will continue to brush him off. What should he do?
They obviously miss each other so much. The phone calls, the texts, the occasional visits that punctuate their days have immediately come to a screeching halt. It is as if their relationship is hanging on a balance in midair. The situation is volatile, but does it need to be? Each waits for the other to make the first move. None is willing to take it. Their pride has taken over them as if a monster has taken residence in their bodies. They both have allowed this stranger to arrest the modicum of common sense that they used to possess. With measured moves, likened to playing a game of chess, each lies in wait to see who would make that first crucial step. Unbeknownst to them, nobody wins in the game that they unwittingly find themselves in. They both stand to lose a lot unless one of them courageously makes the ultimate sacrifice by selflessly relinquishing his or her ego.
Donya Esme and Don Roberto
The new loveteam to beat! I must say, it’s a good move for the episode writer to show this side of the seniors. It kinda gives you a glimpse of what/how Maya and Ser Chief would look/act like once they’re married.
Don’t we all want to grow old and gray with our chosen one? Much as Don Roberto is a flawed person, Donya Esme chose to stick with him and I’m sure that’s due to a huge reason. Not for his money, surely not for his lack of “sweetness” or “caring” attitude, but simply because she loves him ( pretty much like how Maya is with Ser Chief )
I’m almost sure that Don Roberto loves Donya Esme so much that he will bend over backwards just to appease her. (Well, there’s also the fact that the writers are getting a beating from the viewers because of DR’s characterization )
Nikki and Nicolo
I have to admit, I was not really a big fan of this pairing. But how the writers are building up Nicolo’s character is starting to be entertaining. The playful banter of Nikki and Nicolo in today’s episode was well played.Reminds you so much of your teen years.
By the way, the dela Rosa family is hurt that DR thinks Maya is after SC’s money BUT if it was the reverse situation, that Maya was rich and her boyfriend was their former employee, would NT not also have concerns that he is just a gold digger? That is just normal reaction in real life.
Ser Cheif and Maya
Can I just commend Richard Yap for showing improvement in his acting? Very noticeable was the confrontation scene with Noel Trinidad. He also has this very sincere acting whenever he’s with his kids. I guess it comes from his real life experience as a father.
I found the “network” scene funny too. It’s pretty evident that he misses Maya a lot. He assumes that it’s always Maya calling him or visiting him at the office. And then there’s the kid-like scene with Manang Fe. He looked so adorkable pestering Manang Fe just to get confirmation that Maya will be at the party!
Maya, well, I’ve always hoped that she’d be given more importance by Ser Chief. I guess this is the writers’ response to that request #justiceforMaya . Though I was hoping that it would be in a different scenario. As it appears, Maya making tampo to Ser Chief after he defended her is making Maya appear childish in a way.
I totally see Ser Chief’s point that he just did what he thought was right. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t want to be the one to say sorry to Maya first because he wanted to make a point. Maya should be the one making suyo Ser Chief in this situation. However, for Filipinos, it’s like almost always that we expect the men to be the one to ask for forgiveness first. I wish Maya would lower her pride and be the one to approach Ser Chief first.
Yes. We all know that Ser Chief still has a lot to prove to Maya. He’s not that sweet just like his dad. Had this been a different situation, I would’ve reacted negatively again and say that Ser Chief should be the first to send a text msg and give more importance to his GF. However, it should happen in a different scenario.Not this.
I’m a little skeptical that the couple will reconcile by tomorrow. I’m thinking that SC & DR will first have a father-son talk. Next week, will be dedicated to Maya and Ser Chief’s much anticipated “kiss and make-up”.
Mamang’s Mystery
Correct me if I’m wrong. Did she just put in the jar the money that was supposedly for her meds? Is she saving for something?
I can’t help but think that something bad will happen to Mamang which will cause Maya to go to San Nicolas again. I hope I’m wrong.
May I know if you are relatively new to our forum? I only ask because if you have been participating in our exchanges here for a while, you would have read my stance on the issue that has already been discussed argumentum ad nauseam.
FYI, I already went on record a few weeks ago where I personally stand on the prenup issue. I am totally in favor of it. Likewise, I feel that when Maya learns that Don Roberto requires such a contract, she will not hesitate to sign it. I am, in this written piece, essentially giving voice to Richard’s sentiments, not mine.

I think deliberate yung lack of time and miscomm issues nila which commonly happens sa couples. I know a lot of couples rin na ok ang communication nila as friends pero iba na syempre pag kayo na. Ipapakita siguro ang progress ng SC-Maya relationship through issues such as these. Talagang work in progress syempre ang relasyon ng magjowa.
Teka lang, may games kaya na magaganap sa party ni SC sa orphanage? Ano kaya kung newspaper dance partners sina SC and Maya (buhatan), o kaya naman partners sa stop dance (magkatitigan ng matagal), o kaya may balancing ng egg sa mga noo at ilong (dikit ang mukha), o kaya pass the paper using lips (tapos mahuhulog yung papel pag pasa)…

You got it right that Maya is not aware of the pre-nuptial agreement that DR has been demanding on SC. So tonight at the party, let’s hope the issues will be ironed out between father and son. Maybe the writers will give us another twist in the story and let Maya apologise to SC with her own harana.

Now I understand the scene of the senior Lims, Richard and Maya. Dona Esmeralda is maximizing her opportunity of driving her issues home to Don R and Richard, and thanked Maya for being with her.
What I do not understand is Maya completely snobbing Sir Chief. Basic courtesy was thrown out the window. At the Hotel entrance, even if Richard asked her to just get in the car, he repeated it with a please (the man is already beside himself in not knowing what else to do because he just defended you) yet Maya you yourself is remiss of the very thing that you are looking for and waiting for Sir Chief to do as you want him to……..lambingin ka makatapos mong pagalitan parang isang bata, suyuin ka pero binabastos mo…..it would have been nicer if you just even acknowledged his presence with a nod and Sir Chief as paalam when leaving the room, then when he was asking you to get in the car with a please….sana naman you declined nicely by saying, “wag na Sir Chief, I will take the taxi,” civilized pa rin at may courtesy doon sa tao, or sana you accepted gracefully and said to Richard, thank you, maybe you have time to sit down and talk about what is happening with us. Asserting your role as his girlfriend and giving you and Sir Chief saving face and solve your issues as loving adults.
But I am just a viewer of this teleserye and the writers might reveal their reasons later…….
Dona Esmeralda’s actions are those of a mature person, because of their marriage, she knows how to handle Don Roberto……. But Maya on the other hand has no experience though I still think it goes against her initial persona. Texting Richard with just a Happy Birthday, does not leave any room for Richard to respond accordingly. If Maya just texted her initial text message, maybe it would have changed the outcome……. But she decided to be just detached, as if, la lang, no relationship at all. It was putting the other person being greeted feeling, “……parang ha????? Walang ka lambing lambing ang bati sa boyfriend niya. Usually sa kaarawan ng isang tao, when you greet, you greet from your heart……if not, sana do not greet na lang.
Si Manang Fe nakakatuwa, walang panahon kay Richard dahil busy siya sa mga pinagbibilin, walang mahingahan si Richard o sounding board man lang dahil sa text message ni Maya.
Maya being involved in the arrangement is more to please the Lim children, Dona Esmeralda and the Orphans, wala ang focus doon sa may birthday…….
On the teaser nung dumating si Richard, hindi rin linapitan ni Maya si Sir Chief to greet him personally as his girl friend, even with their tampuhan, dapat bumati siya alangan naman yung may birthday pa ang lalapit para lang batiin niya ng personal. He attended for his Mama.
Even in conversation with Dona Esmeralda, Maya did not think that Richard will come – so wala syang tiwala – nawala na talaga ang positive vibes niya, even the hope for the best as she said previously in one of their conversations, walang mawawala kung umasa, malay natin…..
so tomorrow hope for the best na lang ako na sana magkaroon naman ng courtesy sa isa’t isa, pwede naman may tampuhan pa rin kaya lang pag nasa isang gathering or magkaharap ang characters naguusap pa rin ng matino dahil tao sila at in a relationship.

BCWMH writers, just asking because this is the very thing that got lost in the issue as far as I as a viewer sees it.
Nawala ang original Maya (even if I take into consideration that now she is an FA, more so that I am baffled with the complete change in the persona of Maya)…….logically kasi, a person would usually try to change or improve slowly, refining what was good inherently…….kung baga, polishing the rough edges. So it follows, as FA, she has acquired or has refined her capabilities with diplomacy and tact and the ability to project and speak with confidence.
What I am seeing is immaturity and no love at all towards the person she admires and supposedly loves.

Ms Cynch…I disagree with you blaming Maya in this situation. I will blame SC pride in this one. Despite of their quarrel Maya still trying to please SC and trying to reach out by running to his mother rescue, checking in w/ the kids greeting him HB & organizing his event hoping that he will appreciate it and give him a window of opportunity to come to her to thank her and leads for them to talk and say their sorry. But it seems that SC ignoring all of these effort of Maya and of course it makes more Maya feel frustrated and un love.
I don’t like the way SC commanding Maya to get in the car. It’s not very gentleman at all even though there was a please in the second command. You don’t talk to your partner that way specially when there is tampo between them. Its sounded like Maya is his property or like his pet or his stubborn kid.In a relationship it should be equal. SC did not even thank Maya for coming to his mother rescue instead he was commanding her to get in his car. Despite all of that, Maya was still have a heart to say drive safely in a calm way.

Nagkita sa toilet ang magbiyenan. Sabay pa nagtanong kung hindi pa nagparamdam yun dalawa.

Couples don’t get along all the time and arguments come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Arguing, bickering, fighting and full-blown verbal confrontations are part and parcel of any relationship. When blowups occur, there are bound to be wounded egos, hurt feelings on either side. Small tiffs left unresolved can ruin a relationship but while some attempt to just go on as if the fight never happened, the healthiest thing to do is to find a resolution. Richard even on his special day, still couldn’t reconnect to his Mahal na Princesa as she continued giving him the cold shoulders, merely managing to send him a “cold as ice” Happy Birthday greeting. As the day progressed, eagerly waiting for any text or calls from the most important person in his life, it’s as if his world suddenly stopped and when he was in such a predicament, he couldn’t think straight and simply played solitaire to distract himself from boredom and from the long wait to nowhere… Any beep or ring he undeniably kept yearning, for when Abby got a call from Maya, he couldn’t contain his envy and “tampo” and tried his hardest to eavesdrop and when that failed, he did the next best thing… asked Abby what they talked about. Just as he learned that she was already at the venue, excitement flowed into his veins of the thought of seeing her… quickly devising that excuse of bringing the kids to the venue himself even hurrying Nikki so they could get to the venue the quickest time possible. And just when he got into the venue, he got emotional, a bit vulnerable not knowing what to do, his emotions shouting loudly for her and yet all in the silence of his torn, bruised ego… heart longing like crazy, arms missing those loving hugs and the warmth of her touch. What torture indeed for the Mahal na Hari… reaching out for her… so near yet so far… screaming his love in the silence of his lonely heart.

As ego continued to enslave the two lovebirds enduring that tug-of-war gesture as SC longingly stared and tried catching her eyes to convey his desire to iron out whatever disagreement they had… trying to reach out, humbling himself even at a distance to convey he terribly missed her and longing for the warmth of her love, her sweet company, her hugs and all about her. In contrast, Maya kept on avoiding him, staying away and evading his stares. And when they came together to participate in the paper dance game, SC tried to woo his beloved, trying his hardest to get a conversation going between them and talk her out of their LQ. Although she wouldn’t snap out of it, she at least carried a conversation, a small victory for SC that a small crack had been opened to pave way to their reconciliation. For him, that’s one welcome he would gladly take. And not wasting such opportune time, striking a deal should they win the game, for her to agree to finally sit down and talk things thru. His end and ultimate goal, a kiss and make up session with his Mahal na Princesa to end his misery and be closer and be with the woman who not only captured his heart but his soul as well.

Similarly, DR feeling torn and rejected from the indifference DE gave him, spent his time playing with his deck of cards while thinking ways of appeasing his beloved wife who obviously had huge “tampo” over him with his continuing spat with their son Richard. His efforts, his attempts at engaging her in a conversation or a breakfast peace offering with that long stemmed rose fell on deaf ears and blinded eyes. Glancing at the cowboy costume DE left for him to wear should he opted to join the birthday celebration at the orphanage, he thought long and hard, for he had to play his cards right when it comes to his wife otherwise life would simply be miserable for him. And if it meant swallowing his ego, to get DE’s attention and undivided attention, he simply will take that chance.

Just like the two Lim men, both DE and Maya even if they tried the hardest not to show their men, they too were both enslaved as their men with the same ego that triggered all the chaos in their respective relationships. But unbeknownst to the two men, these ladies had thought long and hard and decided to play the game they only knew how to settle the differences between father and son, even if it meant they had to play hard to get… even if they too suffered the agony of not being able to shower their love to their men which were taking a toll on their well-being as well for they both exude that overflowing love for their men. But with the two of them in tandem, dancing into the music they were playing, all they needed, to trap their men in their own little dance and prod them without them knowing, to finally settle their differences and see eye to eye and hopefully heart to heart as well and hearing each other’s side loud and clear.

Human beings are the most special of all of God’s creation. The Divine Creator designed us to have a conscience that essentially guides us when we find ourselves in an egocentric predicament. When we inevitably and unavoidably find ourselves in a mental or emotional crossroad which momentarily freezes us to inaction, a little small voice usually whispers to us what we ought to do, helping us to discern which is the wiser choice between the two. Cognitively, we know exactly where either road leads to, however for reasons beyond our control, our self-centered nature wrestles with the counsel of that little small voice and tempt us to take the other course instead. Somehow, the promise of a guilty pleasurable reward makes it all too easy to choose the wrong turn. Fundamentally, doing what is right is so much more difficult than simply surrendering to unaccountability and succumbing to our selfish desires.
Maya’s inner voice whispered to her what she ought to do. She realized after a fateful ‘aha moment’ with the little orphan boys that she is being hypocritical when she lectures them to strive to live harmoniously, to apologize quickly and to reconcile immediately when she herself is not doing it. As she was dispensing her lesson to the children, she unquestionably heard the inner voice loudly rebuking her and telling her that she needs to practice her own teachings. She knew that she needs to reconcile with Richard so that she can also enjoy the peace that the boys are already experiencing moments after they ironed out their differences. But to all of our consternation, she does not heed to her inner voice’s counsel. Instead she continues to give him the silent treatment, rebuff his attempts to pacify her, ignore his romantic advances and resist his endearing ways of wooing her loving attention back. Strangely, she seems to enjoy using this newly-discovered power that she has over him. In her mind, she feels justified in lording it over him. Needlessly, she rakes the poor man through hot coals during his very own birthday celebration. However, we all know that she will probably be mortified when she will find out the real cause of Richard’s conflict with his Dad; that he is basically protecting her and guarding what they have.
With Maya unwittingly caught mired in her egocentric predicament, Richard displays true chivalry and great humility in handling the situation. To his credit, Richard willingly takes the high road and decides to do what is necessary to be reconciled with Maya. Cleverly, he dances to her tune. In other words, if she asks him to jump, he gladly answers, “how high?” He realizes during these past few days that a day without Maya is not only incomplete, it is downright tenebrific. Hence he cultivates an atmosphere that is empowered with mindfulness and loving kindness. He is resolved to be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to become angry, promoting Maya’s welfare before his own and always aiming through his words and deeds to draw her back to the love that they both share, for it is only when they are united in one mind and one Spirit that they can be freed from the dark trap of selfishness. Together, he knows that they can overcome whatever obstacles come their way.
Thankfully, Richard is closely attuned to the almost imperceptible whisper within his spirit. As long as he remembers to listen to that gentle inner voice, he knows without a shadow of a doubt, he and Maya will be alright.

brought us some many instances when maya and sir chief have gotten to know each
and the kilig that we have wanted. the writers after so long could not maintain this for
more than a year. the least we could do is show a little appreciation. i know they are
trying their best but everything must have some ends. when the network would notice
that the kilig factor is gone with their show, then they would end these episodes pretty soon.
but most of us would like the show to go on. it is the stress free show and good for
the whole family.
although no violence, like rape, shooting. slapping, degrading human behavior involve,
few viewers don’t appreciate the simple things in life. family value. the act of courtship,
with the slight hint of lover’s quarrel. courtship could make our heart ponder how we
were before. looking back on our youth, we had girlfriends that came along the way and each
experiences brought us some valuable lessons. watching these episodes would
bring us to the time when we were young and carefree. but that would only happen once
in your life time. you would not be able to come back from yesterday.
if you get bored. try watching the episodes of “THE WALKING DEAD”

Inspite of Maya’s big-heart and positivity she failed to heed to her inner voice thus the crux of her problem. She failed to practice what she preached. It is intriguing how far she will take this and how long will SC’s patience be.

Had I not known that BCWMH still has a long way to go as confirmed by RY and JSM, I would have felt jitters after knowing about the upcoming proposal. Pero dahil alam na natin that this serye will not end anytime soon, I’m feeling pure excitement right now. The proposal is just the beginning. Can’t wait how events will unfold.
Baka nga lang the actual proposal won’t happen this week pa. I think ipapakita rin how SC will prepare for it in the coming days or weeks. That includes asking for the blessings of the people close to their hearts. Plus, syempre dapat paghandaan ang gimik sa proposal para maging kakaiba at memorable.
I do hope “mareredeem” din fully yung pagiging atat ni SC na makasal sila ni Maya. Didn’t he say na she is just starting to fulfill her dreams? Afterall, bago pa lang din naman sila and this is Maya’s first relationship. Pero, maraming scenes and heart-to-heart talks na pwedeng maganap to address this. Alam din naman natin na tried and tested na rin ang pagmamahalan nila with what they have been through. I am also expecting for SC to do one more thing for his ladylove- to let her not walk down the aisle without a father by her side. I hope SC would find Mang Arturo. (just like how it is in the stories I read on EB)
The main reason for the excitement I’m feeling with this development in the story is nalalapit na ang buhay mag-asawa nila. I’ve said this days ago- ang daming pwedeng kilig and funny scenes na maeexplore pag magkasama si SC and Maya sa mansyon. Not to say naman that the show these past few months didn’t give us “moments”… it did. Pero yung mga eksena si SC at Maya sa mansyon ang possibly na hinahanap ng mga viewers na nawala ever since naging sila (or ever since Maya left the mansion). Aminin, iba ang kilig sa mga veranda, bench, office moments nila noon. (At ngayon, isama mo pa ang bedroom.)
Sana rin kahit na sila SC na and Maya, may moments pa rin na mag-chachancing si Maya kay SC (like yung pagsinghot) at dadamoves si SC.
Strategy-wise, I think the people behind the show is making the right move in levelling-up the SC-Maya relationship. The only way to regain, retain, and grow viewership is probably through this.

Can you put Maya and Sir Chief’s love story in one long tula, perhaps starting from the time the couple met (at Jones Bridge?)? Perhaps, Willand and Winnie can put music into it, with Hot W reciting an intro in English. (like this is the story of…)
This would make a wonderful remembrance from this TFC.TV group. Others may want to join in and make contribution the way they want it. This is of course after you’ve written your poem which should be the centerpiece.

SC & Don Roberto are so funny! I was cracking up because they both think that doing the games are ridiculous but they still chose to do them. This episode is full of cute, moments… from Nikki and Nicolo doing the denial dance, to Don R and Ser Chief following their lady loves like puppies while Dona E and Maya lead them on.
WHY THE COLD SHOULDERS?
Both Women tried to convince and cajole their men into resolving their issues. Typically, the men refused to even discuss it with them.
While the men were busy with their little war, both with valid reasons, we’ve all dared say (because we are privy due to our eavesdropping), they expected their women to understand them without the benefit of confidence. They have excluded the women and have deprived them of the chance to come up with a solution to help the situation. They have forgotten to treat their women as partners.
The women, feeling rather disregarded, decided to turn the tables on their men.
WOMAN’S WILES AND GUILE… ANYONE?
From the teaser, it would seem neither pairs of DE and DR nor SC and Maya, won the newspaper dance – thus the father and son tandem to have another go at winning, if only to cajole their women into a truce. These two men apparently cooperate better when treated with indifference by the women they adore. I so love the expressions on their faces when they raised their hands.
TEAM BCWMH, YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN!
You taunted and teased us to breaking point and are now leading us around like adoring puppies, not unlike your story characters. Thank you, as always, for this merry rollercoaster ride.

This review will not actually address today’s episode. I want to comment on the reviews that state how boring the viewer finds the characters/episodes/teleserye, often because the depicted behavior appears unrealistic. A common complaint: Maya is too good to be true (but then they complain that Maya has been hardheaded in this spat with Ser Chief).
The negative review often receives a comment along the lines of, “then don’t watch the show,” which is responded to by the original reviewer with, “I have a right to express my opinion, and I think this show really should end.” If we like, this argument can go on and on: “Well, I have a right to express how wrong you are!” Et cetera, et cetera.
It has made me wonder, why are some viewers bored by BCWMH. Here’s my opinion: television programmers (producers, executives, writers, directors) have been feeding TV viewers basura for so long that many viewers have gotten used to it. If there’s no intrigue, no kidnappings, no discovered parentage, no monsters, no affairs, no “drama,” then the show is “boring.” Also, characters who act with a sense of goodness and righteousness are called “boring,” I guess because they don’t like to promote conflict or drama.
Well, my opinion is that BCWMH is one of the most interesting shows to come out in a long time, one of the least “boring” shows that I’ve ever watched. The drama is real, not manufactured by some writer’s conception of what the audience wants. It is real because we see characters dealing with situations that are familiar to us, reacting in ways that we’ve reacted. Because the show is so intimate–depicting small moments between Maya and SC, the smallest joys and anxieties–we might feel like nothing is really happening in the show, that there is no action.
Maybe those who say it’s boring are right in that sense: there is no action in the traditional basura-filled way that many shows depend on. But the greatest “action” in BCWMH happens in the hearts of the characters, and then in the hearts of its fans.

You have got to be the most generous with praises. i see you all over the pages with nothing but positive things to say. But, Master, you give me too much credit. That was just an hypothesis I kept to myself until the tide starts to turn. All I know is that #1 you cannot take sides IN, if you’re not a member OF, the nuclear family. #2 SC is too old, too smart and too sensible not to snap out of his self pity mode sooner than later. #3 Maya is too stubborn to allow the two men to drift apart. It’s about father and son, not SC and her (but hurt she was when shut out the night it started) And #4. NayT’s talk with SC at the Theme Park, and later with Maya at Simon’s house were enough to assure us there was no cause for alarm.
So, nothing grandiose about my gallops, just simple, unemotionally practical guesswork Hahahaaaa!!! Unlike you and your co-PHDs, I am not deep! I cannot write prose, poetry, predictions and prescriptions. I can’t even be as funny as you and, i’m a terrible shot. So easy, Inday Wasabi, I do appreciate it but I don’t deserve it. Came home from a really depressing day at work and watching tonight’s episode is really a great picker upper. Was running late today so I missed watching it and I really wish I did. It would’ve been a better day.
I can’t get the smile off my face the whole time I was watching! I can’t help but yell “woohoo”! out loud and my kids were like…”Mom, you are acting crazy again!” My smile is back…my groove is back…I’m back in the zone!
This show just gives me a natural high!

Ang cute niya yesterday when he was trying to show Maya’s text to Manang Fe. Admit it ladies, how many times have we done this, na kahit we know tayo ang mali and maliit na bagay lang, we still won’t give in coz we want to be “chased after” ( like Dona E ) and make suyo. I have done this once or twice with my husband ( okay maybe more ) but after 24 years of marriage, he has learned it is a game and is not taking the bait ha ha ha…
Anyway, I am not saying Maya is playing this kind of game either but I kinda like the new Maya. You go girl!

Re: the boring mode of others – it’s your choice we’ll give you that. But for those people like me who’d been in this journey since the show’s inception we have the most wonderful feeling to witness how their characters transformed and how the Lim family survived a great loss and came back to life again through a simple girl in the person of Maya. The story never failed me in all aspects. The actors and actresses have gone far beyond our expectations. The whole production team had sacrificed a lot giving us the best and for that I am thankful for all their hard work.
For the piddly little TFC subscription fee we get this kind of show that has given us so much to appreciate. How can one not value the characters…
Maya, for her drive to succeed and her positivity towards life not to mention Richard Yap’s appeal came through Jodi’s eyes? SerChief, for being a single dad and falling in love for the second time while trying to keep his ducks in a row and in the process has captured TeePee’s heart and all us women out there (aminin, kahit sampu pang anak nya I’ll take him….hihihi). Kute^, my God, Aiza Seguerra – you have the God-given talent of being a natural, thank you for sharing your talent and your character’s “voice of wisdom” to Maya. Nanay Teresita, for her portrayal of a mother’s selfless unconditional love, Mamang, for making the great veteran triumvirate with Marissa Delgado and Gloria Sevilla – kudos to these 3 wonderful thespians who have given the Lolas something they can relate with. Doris, Sabel and Joma, for their comedic contribution. The bagets- Luke, Nikki, Abby & Cho – the most adorable kids who can hold their own in many difficult scenes. And to the rest of the supporting cast and guests who have always been consistent and helpful turn this soap into a very successful show – good job.
Do all these make the show boring? Absolutely NOT!!!
Huwag naman sana ganun ka-morbid. Sana lang this Mamang challenge will just pave the way naman for SC to prove how much he is willing to do for Maya’s family. Yung sa side kasi ni Maya, na-prove na nya sa family ni SC how far she would go just for SC.

When I saw the teaser last night, EDSA ako seeing SC singing, napansin nyo ba how cutie and handsome he is while singing — okay, i know he’s always handsome, pero iba ang aura nya nung kumakanta… and the choice of the song … sweet and funny ang ‘harana’ nya kay Maya.
And of course, THE PROPOSAL!!!!!! I am looking forward how he’ll do it, and wait, there is still the issue of mamang… so we’ll see how THE PROPOSAL will happen, sa dami ng proposals sa EB, i know the show’s will be a lot different…
JR R: You are very right on your comments and many reasons noted why this teleseryve is not boring at all. I may add the Filipino culture, tradition , especially lessons learned, and many good values are shown on every episode are priceless.This disenchanted viewers missed the points what the teleserye convey.

I guess this is what the writers of BCWMH trying to imply on us viewers. They wanted us to know a lesson or two on how people’s pride makes or break a relationship whether with your GF, wife or your family. It was shown on the conflict between Ser Chief and Maya, DE and DR, and even on how Lola Mamang doesn’t want her famliy to treat her as an invalid or a sick person…Kudos again for the writers for that…I’m curious as to how they will be able to resolve all this conflicts soon… 🙂
On the other hand, au contrare to the comments of other viewers that the show is becoming boring, I see it differently…I find the show becoming more interesting by the moment because they are showing a different side of Maya…we all have known her as “too good to be true”- rarely get’s angry – madaling suyuin kind of gal that is contrary to what she is showing right now but it just goes to show that Maya is also a normal person that sometimes gets angry and frustrated…On the other hand, I see the point why DE and Maya are holding it on their pride…The writers are showing us that sometimes it’s not so bad to say the magic word “Sorry” coz it symbolizes humility…I think that’s what both Maya and DE is wanting to hear from their boys…

1. shouting. most of the dramas that i have seen before include shouting.
filipinos most of the time like to shout to stress their point of view. it looks
natural for them to shout to anybody that moves, shout to the maids, shout
to their wives, shout to the dogs, shout to the walls, shout to their own shadow.
2. crying. 99 % of the filipino dramas include crying. what a waste of eye-mo
in order for them to fake crying all the time. few of the viewers like to see
them also “inaapi”. it gives them the satisfaction that they are not the only one.
3. violence and sex. even if you go to u-tube, just search, filipino movies and you
will discover the reality of what people are watching and giving them two thumbs
up.
if you get bored watching these episodes, your wish is almost there because
the show is almost finish anyway. and then you could go back to your kind of drama.
and you wish that there would be another kind like this. i know that the kilig
factor is not so much anymore. but hey, if we are up on the cloud all the time,
it is time to go back to earth. and realize it is only a show. at least it has
given us some pleasure in watching and to recall some moments when we were young.
TAMPUHAN.
in this episode, we are reminded how we feel slighted by our spouses.
it is normal to not talk for a while or months but we filipinos would usually
surrender. “hindi naman tayo pusong bato.”
sir chief was apologetic if he had a chance but so many instances where
he was being rerouted to some unexpected disturbances. writers could have
omitted these circumstances but it would make the story very short and
right to the point.
maya was kind enough to attend the birthday celebration. and of course, she
was showing her uncomfortable and uneasy feelings. although she belongs to
poor family but she is showing how to control her feeling not to over-react.
(i wonder how the rich people would reach with regards to the situation)
(i don’t know how maya react if it is not the birthday of sir chief, i just recall
her reaction in san nicholas when sir chief has tried to pursue her)
non of these episodes involve shouting. it would be better for the senior
citizen viewers as to prevent high blood pressure or heart attack.

Ok, I’ll admit, I am selfish. I will keep learning my lessons from Maya’s character. Since I’m not there yet, I feel like I have to say this. To SC, do you really have to propose this soon? Think this for a moment: is your desire to gain far stronger than your fear of loss? Part of me wants to see further evolution of the relationship with proper intro into the engagement para natural ang dating. You mentioned to DR that bago pa lang kayo ni Maya. So, prove that you are a person who thinks things through for your dad to push on with having faith in you. Tao lang naman tayong lahat. But with the magic of TV, I guess I can play along. It will just be such a let down to watch almost 300 episodes then the one and the most important thing we all are rooting to happen is coming up as soon as we barely get wind of it? NOT FAIR, says this bratling. I’d like to see more of Maya’s character evolving into maturity to re establish how worthy she is of that FAITH. Ok, SC I’ll wait to see if you are a good listener or not. I promise, I’m just riding shotgun with the writers.

Maya’s costume looks too busy, like a christmas elf because of those suede and tassled ankle booties. I’ve never been a fan of the low rise skinnies on her. Can she wear slim fits, medium rise? Just putting it out there. Sorry, SC you don’t have the face of a cowboy. But you’re ok, birthday mo naman. Yamaguchi would have been cute with chaps on. Nikki reminds me of my daughters when they go to dance halls, A+++dorable. I wish her belt had a bigger buckle (cute!!!). Lisa closely resembles the city cowgirls here in TX, turquoise and her coral boots. Good choice DE on the sarape type poncho and boots, of course. DR is irrelevant in the costume department. Glad they called it costume coz those hats are bothering the h*** out of me. All in all, this episode made me smile and warmed my heart because I am married to a cattle rancher and this hits home. I will be sure to tell the cowboys that the teleserye I have been following paid homage to their kind. They’ll get a kick out of that.

Mio waiting for his father scene is so touching, and making it as an opening for Richard and Don Roberto finally having their talk and listening to each other. While Richard and Don Roberto were finally making up with each other, Mio and his father in the background was very profound.
Richard, just as he had faith when he was still young had faith that Don Roberto was coming home and will always be there for him, now he is asking Don Roberto to have that kind of faith with him.
Don Roberto thanked Maya and congratulated her for making the birthday celebration a huge success and Maya ever so happy hugging the Don so tightly.
Another glitch? SC did not reply to Cristina Rose’ greeting??????
Mamang does not look like she’s having high blood from previous teaser……maybe tomorrow.

Bitter, because the end is near, and I am already feeling the sadness that BCWMH will not be a part of breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snack. Sweet that Maya’s dream is coming true and SC has found the woman that he will spend the rest of his life with. The proposal will probably happen when the Dela Rosa’s take Mamang to Manila for medical exam….Then SC and Maya’s happily ever after union…
BCWMH, I will miss you!!!!
Actually, na-hook ako sa BCWMH nung nagsimula ako to try to overcome the loss of a loved one, although dati na akong nanonood-nuod. Same as SC at the beginning of the series, I was full of grief (pero hindi naman kasing lala nang kay SC. I was still trying to smile and be positive.) I go on with my daily routine pero I wasn’t myself. I should say watching the show has helped me cope up. Para syang naging “Maya” ng buhay ko. It made me happy again, look forward to new beginnings. I still haven’t fully moved on from my loss, pero ang laki nang nagawa ng BCWMH sa kin.
Isa pa, when the year started, I prayed na ma-in love sana ako this year… and it came true… not in the form of a BF, pero in the form of a show… BCWMH made me feel how it is to fall in love.
As we celebrate Sir Chief’s birthday, what fitting way to pay tribute to the man we’ve come to love and adore… watching and following him as he journeyed his life thru ups and downs… some twists and turns… and as we bear witness to his sorrows, joys, triumphs, love, laughter, challenges and myriad of emotions in his so called journey of life. Let me pull some inspiration from this anonymous poem entitled “The Strength of a Man.”
The strength of a man isn’t seen in the width of his shoulders.
It’s seen in the width of his arms that encircle and protect the one he loves.
– Recently, Richard had proven just how protective SC had been to Maya as he shielded her the best way he knew how to the people very close to
his heart – his kids (Luke then Nikki) and his parents (DE and now with DR) and he had proven his love and his worth to the very people whom
Maya loved the most, her Nanay T, Mamang and Kute. He had proven and he sworn to protect her no matter what and to love her completely and
unconditionally.
The strength of a man isn’t in the deep tone of his voice.
It is in the gentle words he whispers.
– From the moment Richard realized he had fallen deeply in love with Maya, he always had spoken to her in a loving soft voice attesting to just how
much he loved her that even when his life, personal or otherwise had gone haywire and his patience had been tested, resorting at times to loud and
angry tone to those around him, but his tone would almost always soften at the sight of Maya or when he would talk to her. For no matter how
chaotic his surroundings had been, Maya had a way of calming him down, keeping his cool for she had that effect on him… for she had been his
sanctuary… his source of tranquility and calm… his coolness and composure.
The strength of a man isn’t in the words he speaks.
It’s in how he keeps his word.
– When SC declared his love for Maya, he had given her the promise of time… he had given her space until she’s ready to accept his love. And when
she accepted that love, he devoted his time, energy and his life to her, keeping that promise not only to her but to her loved ones… for he not only
promised Maya his undying love but he also promised Nanay T that he would take care of her and not hurt her as he promised Kute to be there for
Maya, guiding her as she get into their relationship for the very first time.

– Richard had been a far cry from what he used to be as to his kids – distant; cold; aloof and no time to spare… for he now embraced fatherhood wholeheartedly and lovingly. To him, his kids are now THE center of his life, giving them all the love, care and attention he could possibly give, giving them the quality time, his undivided attention to their needs…spoken or not as e attuned himself to their needs, implied or otherwise. He is after all their loving Dad, but more so, he had become their buddy… he was Abby’s playmate when he consented wearing the pink bunny headband during their Baguio trip; he was his Little Princess’ storyteller as he obliged continuing the story of the Mahal na Hari; he had been Nikki’s shopping buddy when he accompanied her to select her prom gown; and he was Luke’s confidante when Luke was deeply affected and broken hearted for he flew back as quickly as possible from his business trip to hang out with his son while sharing with him some needed wisdom about love and relationship. And when Nikki had gone thru some difficulties as she went thru some confusing stage in her young life, he lovingly guided her to the right direction. And most recently, as the kids treated him for Father’s Day, he gamely succumbed to the kids’ request of that Dance Revo Dance time to the delight of the kids and Maya.
The strength of a man isn’t in how respected he is at work.
It’s in how he is respected at home.
– Richard had been well respected not only at work but in the industry that he revolved in. High accolades had been given to him then and now, but to this CEO, he far more value the respect, the love that he receives from the comforts of his home for his kids had showered him with their tender love, their nurturing care and when he needed it the most the blessings he painstakingly and patiently desired them as the kids embraced and accepted Maya as his girlfriend and rightful partner with open arms and with so much love giving him that greatest respect a father could possibly receive from the family he so cared and loved.
The strength of a man isn’t in how many women he’s loved.
It’s in whether he can be true to the ONE woman he’s trying to love.
– Richard doesn’t fall easily to just any woman available for he valued relationships and love dearly. He doesn’t play around in his younger years, nor will he ever play around when he suddenly found himself widowed by the untimely death of his wife, Alex five years back. But when he met Maya, he never imagined he would have been given the gift of second chance at love. He got to know this simple lady who managed to change his family around as well as his life and when he did realize he had fallen deeply in love with her, he wasted no time to shower her with all that he has – his love, his time, his heart and his soul. For he sees in her the woman he could very well spend the rest of his of his life, honoring her, respecting her and loving her with all his might and with all that he has… his heart and his soul for life, for eternity.
So how will the proposal go?

Meanwhile, Richard keeps trying to talk to Maya while Maya tried her best to focus on the game. Richard was in it only so he could get close to Maya. She wanted him to dance but he refuses. He asked Maya if they win, would she talk to him? She didn’t want to commit but kept on playing until the 4th fold. Richard asks Maya why she keeps on ignoring him making it hard for him. Maya said she too is feeling the pressure. It isn’t easy for her as well. Richard insists that ignoring one another is not helping. Maya stares until the music stops. The couple was still dead on their tracks. The audience urged them to hurry up and step on the paper and when they did, Richard didn’t have his foot secured while Maya took up most of the space putting forth both feet on the paper. They were out. Richard was visibly upset and was trying to protest when Maya pulled him off the stage. Nikki and Luke were laughing at them while Nikki commented Richard is pikon. Maya walks out on Richard and Dona E blames Don R for losing. Richard follows Maya with a stern look on his face. Essentially, Atty Ryan and his wife won.
Maya and Dona E sits at the back of the room while Richard and his Dad sits in the front of the stage. M & DE talks about holding up the drama until the father and son make up. Maya said she is in on it. Richard and DR talk about participating in the games in the hopes that if they do, Maya and DE will appreciate it and finally talk to them.
Cho and Ronron come home from school famished. They asked to eat at the Chibugan. When Cho introduced Ronron to Reno, (who, I have learned recently, courted Maya but got busted) he got really upset and took back the plate of food from him. Kute comes to the rescue to stop Reno from reacting to Ronron. After Mamang and Nanay T learned that Cho is with Ronron, Mamang couldn’t help herself. She wanted to attack him as well and called him the “bullylit” (Suki’s name for Ronron) Kute and Nanay T stopped them from attacking the kid. Cho and Ronron anticipated the reaction they got so Ronron was equipped with something to break the ice. He opens his bag and gets three makeshift bouquets of green leaves and one red flower for Kute, Mamang and Nanay T. Along with it was a heartfelt apology. Kute asked him if he apologized to his mother and he said yes “Nanay Chris”…(Wow Ronron, I didn’t know you had it in you. Although Cho’s name is written all over your apology session, it is still a great gesture.) Kute tells Ronron, they accept his apology (except for Mamang who still wants to bamboo the kid ha ha) (This is a great way to close the bullying issue. Thank you writers for thinking of a true positive way of dealing with the issue showing only a solution that is simple but effective and most of all, I appreciate that this wasn’t just swept under the rug which is apparent in most seryes that I have watched. No stone left unturned is a good way to end a series.)

Peace is the state of harmony, the absence of conflict and hostility, and the existence of healthy or newly healed relationships. Peace is the direct result of reconciliation. To usher in reconciliation between people who are in conflict, each have to realize that they each have done the other wrong, express a genuine desire to reestablish what they originally have, be motivated to repair their strained relationship and be willing to restore the trust, love and understanding that they used to share. As viewers of this episode, we bear witness as to how conflicts are resolved among the young and the old, in this drama.
With great aplomb and diplomacy, Kute shows how to delicately handle the bullying issue of her son. She knows that resolution can only come about when open lines of communication between the parties involved are maintained. She is also aware that conflicts are resolved not by force, or any form of retaliation but through the power of words. Kute is so successful in handling the issue that Cho and his former adversary, Ronron are now actually friends. The latter demonstrates his change of heart by offering the proverbial olive branch to Cho’s family as a sign of his repentance. What a touching scene to watch as the boy asks for the family’s forgiveness by giving Kute, Nanay Teresita and Mamang, each a bouquet of flowers freshly picked from his front yard. The older women immediately forgive the boy and reinforce the lesson that he should never participate in such unwanted behaviors again. With forgiveness accorded, peace is restored and harmony immediately replaces the unwelcome tension that permeated the room when the former bully first entered the scene.
At the orphanage where Richard and Don Roberto have temporarily put aside their issues to celebrate the former’s birthday, an orphan boy unwittingly brings about the reconciliation that their respective partners, Maya and Dona Esmeralda, have desired for them. Mio, the little boy, sits at the entry way as he patiently waits for his father’s arrival. Not too long afterwards, Richard and Don Roberto witness the happy reunion between the young boy and his visiting father. Witnessing this, it struck a cord in Don Roberto, who is momentarily transported to the days when Richard, as a little boy, would also wait for his arrival at the stoop in their front entrance. Sentimentally, the father shares this recollection with his son. Unbeknownst to them both, a deeply-held wound is about to be healed. Young Richard asks why his father seems to always be away at work making him mostly absent from his childhood memories. His father lovingly explains to him that in those days, it was necessary for him to work long hours in order to support his young family. All at once, a mental light bulb turns on. As a father himself, who also works hard to support his own family, a realization quickly dawns on Richard that he may have been too unnecessarily harsh with his Dad. He gradually realizes that his Dad has been and will always be the loving Dad that he knew when he was a young boy. Presently overcome with emotion, he reaches to hug his Dad, tells him that he loves him, ask for his forgiveness and requests of him to always be there to provide him guidance and counsel. Don Roberto hugs his son back. And voila in one fell swoop, the differences they stubbornly held on to, slowly dissipates. All that remains is the love of a father for his son and the affection of the son for his father. Discord gone, peace restored.
Finally with conflicts resolved, peace has effectively been reinstated. Everyone can now move on to renewing their relationships and celebrating a fresh and renewed perspective with which to view their lives. And how easily can one come by such blessed intangible bliss. The only requirement is one’s willingness to unlock its doors by utilizing the only key that can efficiently open it. Unfortunately, the key also happens to contain the two most difficult words for some people to utter because it requires total humility and the acknowledgement of one’s own imperfections. But just what are these two elusive words that challenge people’s pride and keep their ego in check so that they can ultimately experience the dwelling of love in their hearts and peace in their minds? Simply, two words. “I’m sorry.”

I watch Jodi Sta Maria at TFC MMK classic yesterday, she’s really a very good actress and she can really cry instantly. What I noticed though is that Jodi’s intimate scenes in this one were so different with her intimate scenes at BCWMH. She was relaxed and natural in her intimate scenes w/ her leading man at MMK, no awkwardness and it’s so intimate, I don’t see that at BCWMH. The difference were so glaring. I also watch some of her intimate scenes at 100 days to heaven I couldn’t believe Jodi will allow any leading man to kiss her intimately. That kissed w/RR was so intimate & was so hot.
Noticed that too. The one with RR seemed so natural that even if I’m not a fan of their team-up, I have to admit that I felt giddy watching them. Sana ganun din with RY para mas mapa-tumbling ang mga adik

I am confident, if our loved ones feel the urging of the Spirit and hear that little inner voice, I know without a doubt, that they will want to make all things right between them again, because I believe that deep down, they know that it is the only way that they can experience real peace again. EN ROUTE TO RECONCILIATION
Misunderstandings will always be part of any given relationship… we will be confronted with them regularly, these may be uncomfortable sometimes, challenging and even annoying at times, but that’s just the way it is for at the end of the day, we still need to deal with them no matter what.
As the chaos in the Lim family continued with DE’s sudden disappearance, the father and son had no choice but to come together and talk things thru in the hope of finding what happened to the woman they both love, DE… instead they resorted to their old game, clashed again, stubborn as they both were, blaming each other for DE’s disappearance instead of finding a resolution, to try meeting halfway to compromise if only to appease DE. And yet as the two men exchanged heated words in their blame game, DE and Maya in the truest Venusian fashion, talked about their problems, their miseries and the causes of all their sadness, the men in their lives – DE and Sir Chief. And when it was time to face the men in their lives, both DE and Maya greeted them with indifference and cold treatment. And just as everything seemed to go nowhere near any reconciliation of sort, the two Lim men attempted to reconnect with their women hoping to crack any opening of potential reconciliation. While Richard went after Maya urging her to get inside the car so he could take her home, DR on the other hand trying to engage DE to talk and discuss their issues and when he failed, he thought of surprising DE with a makeup breakfast with a peace offering long stemmed rose. In contrast, Maya despite her coldness, she waited for the struck of midnight to send Happy Birthday greeting to her Sir Chief while DE despite ignoring DR’s gestures of making peace, gave her husband DR his costume for the party should he opted to attend.
Every conflict we face in life can be loaded with positive or negative potential for it can be a source of inspiration, enlightenment, learning, transformation and growth or it could be the other way – rage, fear, entrapment or further resistance. But reconciliation can only be possible if both are willing participants for nothing is impossible to the willing heart… but while the willingness is welcomed, courage is what it takes and what is needed to stand up and speak about the issue at hand, the hurt or the pain one felt; in the same manner that it is also what it takes to be able to sit down and listen to where the other is coming from.
The truth is, we do mess up and make mistakes, we hurt and disappoint our loved ones and in turn get hurt and disappointed in the process… but just because we do, don’t mean letting these mistakes ruin something beautiful, something wonderful. May we don’t get caught up in the past; instead may we learn from it and move on and yet allowing ourselves to grow, to smile, to be happy and to appreciate the finer things in life. Ultimately the best relationships are not just about the good times shared but more so about those obstacles, hurdles and complications we go through “together” that really matter… after all, the couples that are “meant to be” are the ones who go through everything that is meant to tear them apart and yet come out even stronger than they were before… coming out more committed than ever… ILYs uttered sweeter than ever and more meaningful for loving someone isn’t just about saying it every day… but showing it every day in every way we know how.
Overall, let us always keep in mind that to love means loving the unlovable… to forgive means pardoning the unpardonable… to have faith means believing the unbelievable… and to hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless.
