One of my fave episodes!!! Totally na-in love ako when I watching the scene by the car between SC and Manang Fe and SC and Maya. SC makes me wanna fall in love again…lol. SC is right though, just because he doesn’t say “I love you” first to Maya, doesn’t mean he doesn’t love her. If we all look back when they started going out, SC practically did everything he could just so he can make Maya happy and comfortable with them being friends na iba. Even when they became boyfriend and girlfriend, that didn’t change SC’s feelings towards Maya. He was still the same SC when he was courting Maya. I so love that scene of them by the car. Ang sweet ni SC. Tama nga sabi nila “Absence makes the grow heart fonder”. Absence in a sense of them not talking much less seeing each other after that fight they had. I am glad they made up and what a way it happen…lol.
Of course Emman will not be Emman without being in the wrong place at the wrong time…lol. As usual kung kelan may kilig moment tau makikita between SC and Maya, hayan siya!!! I am glad he’s okay after falling down the stairs, but Emman…really? This is like the 3rd time that’s happening…lol.
Tapos na ang party, uwian na, hinahanap ni Ser Chief sina Maya, lumabas na raw sabi ni manang Fe.

EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE
Words are all over us… we use them every day, we hear them every day… in every waking moment; we use them to express anything and everything we think, everything we feel… our hopes; our dreams; our fears but most especially love. We use them during arguments as much as we used them to patch things up.
Saying sorry can be a monumental task especially to a loved one because if one had inflicted hurt so deep that the other simply closed down… no communications whatsoever, no texts nor calls… implying time and space apart, one will have to do something, do the right things and apologize in just the right way or more damage may just be triggered making everything worse than it already is and simply saying sorry will no longer do the trick. Sorry is the hardest to say when it matter the most but when SC realized he just may had hurt his beloved as he also acknowledged that he had been hurt as much as Maya, he did everything possible to convey just how sorry he had been for hurting the woman he loved so dearly. And to ensure he get that elusive forgiveness and that his Mahal na Princesa will surely be back in his loving arms, he needed to step it all up if he wanted to bring back their relationship to what it was before and get her back to feeling close again if not closer and them reconnected again in their love for each other.
And when words were simply not enough, he played his next best card… he sang his heart out to her and for her… cajoling his Papa to join in so they both can serenade and win back the hearts of their respected partners and as if not enough, they serenaded the ladies up close and really personal as they sang their hearts out in front of their lady loves, directly singing in front of them, sincerely begging for their forgiveness thru the melodies of their song coming from their bruised and longing hearts direct to Maya and DE’s forgiving hearts. And victorious they had been as they claimed their prizes with the warmest of hugs, and the sweetest of smiles and loving kisses from the two important women in their lives.
‘Sorry’ is a miraculous word that has the power to heal past grievances and bury the unpleasant memories that stirred the fight. SC couldn’t wait no more, so he took the next best thing… threw his ego away… took responsibility… and humbly sought for forgiveness… and with so much sincerity uttered the most important words “I’m Sorry” to his Mahal na Princesa and sealed it with a loving kiss. With that, how can the Mahal na Princesa not accept such gesture… for she could never resist her Mahal na Hari and she accepted with so much joy, smiling from ear to ear and oozing with so much love… pure bliss written all over her face…
And more often than not, when the going gets tough, it is a challenge to feel gratitude amidst the hurdles, and staying in that loving place but it is exactly in these times when things are difficult that a perspective of gratitude is all the more needed to move forward and bring back that feeling of connection… of love… of tenderness… of hope and mostly of love. Gratitude centers not only the mind but more so the heart in the present… in the moment… on blessings… the good… what we have… what we are… how our lives are blessed in more ways than one. Gratitude is mindfulness of the many good moments that we enjoy as it opens the doors and windows of our mind, our hearts and our souls to new possibilities, to promises of great things ahead.
And with so much happiness and love overflowing Richard’s heart, he could no longer contain the pure bliss, peace and love residing in his heart when everything fell into its rightful places – he was truly blessed not only because he just celebrated his birthday but because he finally patched things up with his Papa and love and respect flowed back between them… but most of all, he won back the love of his life… his Mahal na Princesa… his True North… and with that, he truly poured out his soul… expressed his love to the love of his life, Maya. When words weren’t enough, he sang his heart out to pour out his love, his soul… When he sought forgiveness, he said his I’m Sorry” admitting he had been wrong… When he could no longer contain his emotions, he said his “I Love You’s” conveying his pent up emotions and his longing for his beloved and when everything had been reciprocated, he simply humbled himself to pay homage to the woman who changed his life, who made him see the good, the beauty, the future… and he can think of nothing but to say “Thank You”.
In the end, love powers us to do certain things we would never in our wildest dream imagine doing. Some accept it as beyond explanation… others think of it as the one thing that makes the world go round… but really when we love we experience all gamut of trials and difficulties enabling us to grow… but at the end of the day one truth holds true, love truly makes the ride worthwhile.

COURTSHIP
Courtship is the period in a couple’s relationship when they both agree to be mutually exclusive in seeing each other with the intent of a more formal commitment as their end goal. It has been perceived that it is the role of the male to actively “court” or “woo” the female, thus encouraging her to understand him and her receptiveness to a proposal of marriage. In this phase, the couple spends as much time with each other on dates to assess their level of compatibility. Herein, they will discover their values and uncover their likes and dislikes. It is also during this phase that they will learn of their strange quirks and peculiarities and ascertain whether those are foibles that they can learn to live with. Within many western societies, these distinct gender roles have lost some of their importance and rigidity. It is now common for females in younger generations both to initiate relationships and to propose marriage. Our favorite soap, Be Careful with my Heart, portrays the concept of courtship through the characters of Richard and Maya. The drama also introduces how the younger generations are adapting in their courtship behaviors and rituals.
Serenading is a well-known courtship practice in traditional Philippines. However, it is still employed by some men to woo their object of affection today. It almost inevitably sends the woman into euphoria if she happens to share the same feelings for her suitor. Otherwise, it could be deemed a repulsive act by the uninterested woman on the receiving end. Personal accounts shared by the older generation who experienced such courtship rituals include the man being doused by a bucket of water thrown from the girl’s bedroom window, or worse, urine from the portable potty. This last act effectively is understood as the woman giving her suitor the obvious notice that she is not in the least bit interested in his romantic advances and hence should immediately cancel further courtship plans.
The main object of serenading is currying the favor of one’s beloved. As viewers of this soap, we witnessed Richard serenading Maya in San Nicolas in the hope of winning her back into the Lim household. Previously, she left his employ when he inevitably hurt her feelings when he mistakenly implied her friendliness could be construed by Capt. James Ventura, a known playboy, that she is an easy prey. She interpreted this to mean that he just called her an “easy woman”. Although he meant to warn her in order to protect her reputation, she understood his warning to imply that she lacks morals and integrity. Fortunately, his ploy to woo her to come back to Manila, by singing his message of apology, worked. Maya forgave him and she came back to Manila. Even though she decided to leave his employ, Richard still considers it a success. To him, at least, she is within driving distance from him, at Emman’s, where he could easily pay her a visit should he wish to do so. And very often, he did.
Thus began Richard’s courtship of Maya. They got to know each other through their unplanned dates, daily commute, occasional dinner dates and family activities. From various shared challenges and trials their mutual understanding grew and the two realized that they actually reciprocate each other’s feelings. One day, they finally acknowledged to the family and to the world, that they are indeed not just dating anymore, they are already a couple.

Hellooo, M&Ms! I would like to dedicate Aiza Seguera’s song, ‘ULAN’ to you all because that’s how it has been the whole day here in Manila. We arrived from HK at 10 am, finally got a car at 6 pm, drove through knee-deep floods, pit-stopped for an hour at a Mac Do’s waiting for the rains to take a break, then ventured on through more flooded streets. Took us three hours to get from Pasay to Maynila, which was far better than the time it took many who were stranded in their cars for most of the day. I am dead tired but the first thing I did was go on line and watch today’s episode because I couldn’t get a good signal anywhere I was all day. I know you enjoyed it as much as I did, but I am just too tired. Basta super cute sina SC and DR, at super kilig ako kahit kami na….

Uber sa kilig and back to good vibes 🙂 What does our dear creative team up to this time for SC’s proposal…..Ayyyiiiieeee…..I will just let my imagination run wild as BCWMH once again made me happy, giddy and in-love……..hubby and son can’t complain now………happy wife/mom makes a happy household :)))) So glad I decided to just spend my last week of vacation staying home and watching marathon of BCWMH all over again 🙂
Although it’s sad to think that it seems like the end is almost near….I just don’t know how true but I read somewhere and I also watched a video of RY and Jodi in a concert where she mentioned it also (so I guess credible ang news) that BCWMH book 1 will end with the wedding…then Book 2 starts soon after with their Married life….show on tv will not air ONLY during the time when the movie will be shown sometime in December and that the plot of the movie is the continuation of what’s happening in the tv series (so we must NOT miss the movie!) then resumes again after MMFF 🙂 Hope its true or I will have a hard time letting go 😦

The best episode ever for me. Feeling ko nilagnat na ako sa sobrang kilig. I dont know how RY does it (yun sobrang magpakilig – yun boses nya, stare niya and just his mere presence) and how Jodi controls herself. One post I’ve read kanina is ang tibay ni Jodi.I super agree! Ako nga nanonood lang nanlambot na tuhod ko sa titig ni RY kay JSM dun sa outside the car scene. And super natural ang kilig ni JSM. You can see it din sa harana. Parang one of the adiks din siya for Maya and SC! Namumula siya as in! Gigil na gigil nga si SC sa scenes, super cute! How can a 46 year old man have those moves? Ay si writer pala yun nagisip ng moves but RY acted so well in it.
I love Noel Trinidad! Favorite siya ng mom ko during Champoy days kaya I always get to hear him sing at in fairness ang ganda pa rin ng boses. Mainstay na sana sila ni DE.

Sa scene naman ni NT where naiyak siya sa katigasan ng ulo ni Mamang, geez, I was crying too, tapos natawa ako ng request ni Mamang.
Everyone has chemistry. Yun mom-dad-son tandem nina SC-DE-DR; the kids, yung staff and househelp and of course si JSM and RY. Si Liza and Ryan din. At of course si Emman. Ang galing ng incharge sa casting.
The Senior and Junior Lim volunteer to sing in the hopes that through this harana (serenade) move, they could win their partner’s attention and seal the deal. DR was worried that they would make a fool of themselves. But with Richard urging DR, they get up on stage. Nicolo on the guitar (Waaaaa! Mallows is so dang cute..No wonder Nikki is so infatuated) and equipped with their cheat sheet, Richard starts off the song about isaw (street food), bottle caps, maniacs and thesis….He sang straight to Maya. Maya was self-conscious and turning red. DE was tickled pink when DR sang to her. She whispers to Maya that he hated that song (Ummm we know DE cuz DR already said that to Richard) Every one seem to know the song because they were all singing along. Atty Ryan’s wife was busy recording using her Ipad and Nikki took clips using her phone. Abby danced and Liza and Ehman in back of the Lim combo singing and clapping. After a couple of stanza’s the Lims decided to come down from the stage and sing directly to DE and Maya. At the end of the pa-cute song (I will try to translate at the end of this review) Richard takes Maya’s hand and apologizes to her. Maya melts in Richard’s smile and super duper handsomeness. She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face and gave him such a big hug…to every one’s enjoyment. They cheer them on to kiss and Richard gave her a peck on the cheek…..how fun was that scene? I smilled all the while. I am sure the BCWMH fans all over the globe were too.
At the end of the evening, everyone said goodbye. Richard looked for Maya and the kids. Manang Fe tells him the kids and Maya left through the back door to the car because the kids said they were tired. Manang Fe and Richard followed to the car. After placing the pans in the trunk of the car, Richard walked around to the front of the car when he glanced inside to see the Maya in the middle, on her lap was Abby, Luke on her right side and Nikki was on the left. They were all sleeping. This tugged at Richard’s heartstrings. When Manang Fe spoke, Richard shhhh’d her and pointed at them. She peeked inside the car and saw them and Richard said “Manang, that is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.” Manang Fe couldn’t help but give him a huge smile in agreement. (I am sure Manang Fe is in seventh heaven to hear Richard say that. After all, she truly believed that Richard could never find anyone like Maya…she is their number one supporter right from the very start.)
In San Nicolas, Mamang is in deep trouble with her blood pressure (Psssssttt Tee Pee, please send Mamang your YT video links). Opkors she never really bought her meds so her BP was not regulated. So she is experiencing symptoms of hypertension. Just like my mom, she is hard headed and didn’t want to go to see the Doctor but Nanay T and Kute talk her into it. We’ll have to wait to see what the doctor says but for now, the scene moves back to the parking lot at the orphanage.
While DE and DR were walking back towards the company van, DE was sweet talking DR to sing her their theme song. DR couldn’t remember what it was. It made DE walk out on him. DR approaches Richard who is still watching Maya and the kids sleep inside the car. He asked him if he knew of another song because he thinks he is in trouble with DE once more. The both LOL. This time, Maya woke up. She moved Abby to Luke’s and asked Nikki to let her out. Maya joined Richard and DR. Richard went to get his mom inside the venue and left Maya and DR there. It is then that DR told Maya congratulations again for a job well done because Richard’s party was a complete success and he loved it. His words were enough to excite Maya. Richard looked back and saw Maya so full of joy that she jumped up and gave DR a great big hug (ha ha DR didn’t know what hit him. He couldn’t move ha ha) Maya realized that she’s got DR locked in so she let go of him and apologized for hugging him. DR told her there isn’t a problem. It’s ok….then he excused himself to go fetch DE. He must have met Richard inside because Richard came back.
Sana kinunan ni SC ng picture sina Maya na natutulog kasama ng mga bata. Ang ganda ng moment na yon!!!! Sayang!!!

At nung tumawag si Kute sa kay Maya, di niya sinabi ang condition ni Mamang??? Baka magdemand si Mamang!! pero sa tingin ko makukuha niya rin ang wish niya kasi kung susunduin siya ni Maya, si SC ang magdedrive, wala na si Simon eh.
Di kaya ang akala ni DR na nagmadali magpropose si SC ay dahil akala niya buntis si Maya? Ang pagkasabi kasi ni SC na this can’t wait eh, subject to double meaning. Tapos nung nagtanong si DR about the reason why the dela Rosa’s are coming, parang worried siya!! This would be a hilarious situation pagnagkataon.

Gumagaling na talaga si RY. Remember dati parang walang gigil (as you all call it) pero ngayongigil na gigil lang. Yung pagkamiss nya parang sobrang tagal di nagkita unlike dati na di man lang kita sa facial expressions nya.

One could see the huge smile on Richard’s face as he lovingly looks at Maya. She tried to tell him what happened with DR. Richard tells her he knows because he saw them. Maya was frantic over hugging DR but Richard had other things on his mind. Richard couldn’t help himself. He takes both her hands and kissed them. He tells her he’s missed her and asked if she did too? Maya said “Too much” and they hug. After they let go, Richard tells her thank you. Maya asked for what? He said for the best birthday ever. (Aaaayyyyiiiiiii! They are oozing with sweetness I feel like I am going to faint ha ha) Richard holds Maya’s face with both his hands and gives her a kiss on the lips (Aaaaayyyyiiiiiii! Oxygen please…I am turning blue cuz everyone in the house is sleeping…Waaaaa!) Maya giggles a little and Richard says, “I love You”. That put Maya dead on her tracks. Richard wondered why? She said it is the first time that he said ILY first. It was a big deal for her. (I think right now, Richard does not hear anything she is saying. He is so in love with this woman he can’t see passed anything but her face, her smile.) “Just because I don’t say it first does not mean I don’t love you. I do love you more than you know.” {{{{{Huggssss}}}}} Aaayyyyiiiii!
At the local clinic in San Nicolas, the Doctor tells Nanay T, Kute and Mamang that her blood pressure has not gotten any better since the last time. Kute insisted that Mamang exercises now, goes to bed early and takes her medication. The Doctor asked them again if they are sure that Mamang is taking her medication. Kute said she is sure because Mamang went to buy the medicine. Right then, Nanay T didn’t feel right after finding out that Mamang was supposed to go buy the medicine. She asked Mamang truthfully if she went and bought the medicine. Mamang had to admit she was only taking the garlic thinking it will take care of her hypertension. This was to Kute and Nanay T’s dismay. The doctor wasn’t too happy upon looking at the lab test report.
Richard picks up Maya at the condo. He brings her red roses this time. While Richard was standing at the doorway, Ehman happened to be coming down the stairs. When he sees Richard and Maya, he takes a step back so as not to disturb them. Richard tells Maya he is happy that they have made up and when he attempted to give Maya a kiss, Ehman fell on the stairs (bwahahaha) Richard asked him if he is ok and he said he is fine as he stood up. Ehman slowly walks toward the apartment limping a little (ha ha I can’t stop laughing typing this) Maya had to cover her mouth from laughing and Richard tried not to laugh as well. (Ehmmy oh dear Ehmmy you are such a hoot.)
Meanwhile, Mamang is acting like my mom and refusing to go to Manila to see a specialist. Kute and Nanay T followed her as she goes inside her room and shuts the door. Nanay T was begging (or nagging) her and crying at the same time saying she could not take losing another member of the family. After much yelling, and urging and crying and begging and banging on the door, Mamang agrees under one condition. She wants Richard to pick them up from the airport….(bwahaha Mamang still have not forgotten her crush on Richard ha ha)

Pero kidding aside, tama yung EP ng show. Although hindi pa seasoned actor si RY when they gave him this lead role, alam nilang they are making the right decision kasi RY is an intelligent man. He will use his intelligence in improving his craft.. and we are seeing this now.

At the condo, Maya tried to make sure that Ehman is ok. He is icing his knee. Even while he is in pain he still gets to chicka with Maya while Richard waits for her. After a little while, Richard tells Maya to consider going because she might be late for her flight. Maya ensures Ehman is fine. She takes her bouquet of red roses back to her room and then they left. At the airport, Richard and Maya say goodbye. Maya tells him to go ahead and he tells her to go ahead. When she turned to leave, Richard grabs her arm and pulls her to give her a kiss on the cheek. Maya tells him that after all this time, she is still gets butterflies on her stomach over Richard. It made him smile. She finally turns around and leaves. (Weeee….golly gee…they send shivers down my spine for sure ha ha)
Back in San Nicolas, Mamang talks to Nanay T over her worry over the expense of going to Manila. She assures Mamang that her and Kute will find a way to get this done and for her not to worry about it after all, Maya is in Manila and could surely help them. Kute at the Chibugan, calls up Maya to tell her both the good news and bad news. The good news is that Nanay T and Mamang are coming to Manila the bad news is Mamang and her HBP need to see a specialist. Maya worried about Mamang wanted Kute to book them a flight immediately. Kute worried about the expense hesitated until Maya reminded her that Nanay T & Mamang is covered under her benefits at Time Airways. That made Kute feel better.
At the Lims, Richard arrives home and finds DE supervising the hired help in bringing down their luggage. She tells Richard it feels good to be back at the mansion. Richard asks where his father is? DE tells him he is in his study and using the laptop for some emails he had to reply to. Richard excused himself to his mother to go see his Dad. He walks in his office and finds his father there. Once he sees that his Dad is done with what he is doing he tells him something important. He tells his father that this could no longer wait. “I’m proposing to Maya.” (Whooops!!!!!! He isn’t asking for permission, he is telling his Dad!)
Next time on BCWMH
DR asked DE if she knew his plans to propose? No Answer. Richard tells his parents that Nanay T and Mamang are arriving tomorrow and he would love for DE & DR to have dinner with them. No Answer. DR asked Richard if this is all about the proposal? Richard tells them, they are in town so Mamang could go get medical help. DR asks Richard if he is planning to tell Maya’s Mom and Grandmother about his plans to propose? No Answer. Maya and Richard pick up the de la Rosas at the airport. Nanay T and Richard find a quiet wall somewhere to talk. Nanay T asks Richard if things are settled between him and his father? Richard assured her that it is. Then Richard said that he is glad they could talk because he had to ask her permission. Nanay T asked Richard “permission for what?” No answer! I guess we have to wait for tomorrow to find out……
Note: The kids were not in this episode at all. The only time we see them is when they were sleeping in the car. No dialogue. Even Nicolo, Stacy and Louie had lines. The Lim kids had none. Just saying.

Ang nagagawa nga naman ng pag-ibig, kahit si Don R napakanta ng song na “hate” niya…..Nakaka touch to see Maya and the Lim kids asleep in the car. SC cannot keep to himself how he felt about Maya upon seeing the kids asleep wrap around Maya and shared it to Manang Fe. He wants Maya to be his lifetime partner……Super kilig ako sa kissing scene nila sobrang sweet, nilanggam tuloy sila. Si SC bumabawi todo todo……. Emman did it again his slip off the stair prevented SC for kissing Maya, ROFL, LOL…….. Gusto nang magpropose kay Maya. He can not risk having another tampuhan with Maya.
SC mentioned to Maya in not too distant past, he misses her in the house and he can see her living in the house with him and the kids. Maya has been forewarned. It will not be a surprise to Maya about the intent but the timing is.
Bittersweet. The inevitable is drawing near the end of Book 1, withdrawal syndrome will likely happen. The casts of BCWMH will start shooting the movie It is not as hectic as taping a teleserye. They deserve a breather. The casts excellently delivered their roles. BCWMH has become a part of my daily routine. It is now a problem to fill that void. Huh, huh, huh.
To creative team, writers, executives, and there rest of staff behind the scene job well done. BCWMH is the only one of its kind and in a league of its own. It change the landscape of televiewing. Thank you ABS-CBN for entertaining us, reaching out to Filipinos all over the world.

Kinakabahan ako. Baka mag-hesitate si Maya na mag-yes sa proposal dahil sa nangyari kay Eds.
Di kaya dahil sa pinagdaanan ni Eds (na akala nya mapopropose na si Edward e yun pala niloloko na sya) ay mapraning si Maya when SC begins to be mysterious because he is preparing for the proposal?
Medyo curious ako how Maya is pag nagdududa… Pero if gagawin to, sana yung cute and funny plot just like how she reacted to SC’s past dates.
Richard tells his father that his opinion is important to him but this is something he wants to do. Richard feels strongly about proposing to Maya. Don R appears to have thoughts in his mind but it isn’t clear what it is. He seemed to have remembered his promise to his son that he will have faith in his decision so he tells Richard that he will not stand in his way. Richard had to ask…just to be clear….”No pre-nup!” “Whatever you want.” Don Roberto replies.
At the university, Ange tells the Music and Sounds members that there is an individual music video contest coming up. Each participating member will create a music video to be uploaded on YT and whoever gets the most hits will win. The prize is a performance at an upcoming charity event. Luke and Nicolo are interested in participating but the rule says it is an individual activity meaning each member is not allowed help from other batch members. They could use anyone or anything as long as it isn’t any of the other batch members. (ok I am ready to hit the yt site for full support of Luke and Nicolo. Come on guys, lets do this!)
At Time Airways, Edzaline was crying her eyes out about her now ex, Edward who cheated on her. (Bad boy Edward… ☹ ) She was unsuspecting and was very hurt. (Dear Maya…I have been saying for the longest time now that Edz and Simon need to be paired. Why don’t you introduce them to one another…this time on a date…after all they are two of the nicest people in the serye and I would love to see Simon be happy before Book 1 is over…☺)
Meanwhile, Luke and Nicolo are with Louie and Inigo at the university food area. They were talking about strategies and ideas for the music video contest. It looks like Inigo and Louie wants to help. Ange and Cheska walk by them. Luke tried to ask Ange’s help with the contest but Ange is playing the “pakipot” (hard to get) card. She tells him she and Cheska are too busy and walked away. Nicolo blames Luke for being slow…now Ange ignores Luke. Luke seemed baffled by Ange’s actions. (Luke, don’t worry. I would be baffled too. But she is just playing the pakipot card dude. Just go along with it.)
At the High School, Nikki was talking to Stacy about her Dad’s birthday party in her own Nikki way as in “maarte” (girly). (Ummmm Nikks, excuse me…I know I saw Stacy there with Louie and witnessed everything you saw. In fact, while yall were asleep with Ate Maya in the car, Stacy, Louie and Nicolo were just barely leaving the venue and said goodbye to your Dad. So surely, she didn’t miss a beat. O sige, I think you were just reminiscing…correct?) Some other girls were listening to her and reacting negatively to her maarte ways. They walked by her and Stacy and purposely talking about hanging her upside down. Stacy stood up to react but Nikki stopped her. She said it isn’t worth their time. Nikki obviously is comfortable in her own skin. She accepts that she is who she is and she doesn’t care. All the while, a boy from the other table was staring at her. She stares back at him and asked him what’s up with him looking at her? He stood up and approached them. He told her that he knows she is maarte. In fact, the whole school knows and they all hate it but not him. He tells Nikki he likes her guts. Then he walked away. Nikki was left boiling. “He’s so G R R R”, she said. “He is condescending.” Stacy smiles and tells Nikki, that boy is Amiel (sp?) He is a senior transferee. (Uy…..there is a new love interest so that a new love triangle is forming: Nicnic/Niknik/Amiel vs Joey/Luke/Ange….haaaayyyy! Bagets!)

I really try to come up with a decent POV each time coz I have so many ideas and topics I wanted to express as soon as I finish watching an episode.
But I could not connect the dots and as soon as I get to finally process my train of thought, I forget the first one ha ha ha…

I just love love love how you grabbed Maya’s hand and caressed and played with her fingers. I know you are just trying to get her ring size but it is still so sweet. I love love love how you tenderly kissed her hands after with your oh so tender kissable lips. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Na touch ako when Nanay T hugged Emman so tightly as appreciation for helping out her daughter. Mas lalo din akong naiyak when Nanay T hugged Maya upon knowing ( I presume ) that SC is planning to marry her daughter. By the time Abby squealed in delight at the thought of Maya being her Mommy, I could not control the tears anymore with matching tindig ng balahibo. I can’t help but recall the times when she could not even talk and Maya was the only one that was able to get through to her.
Haaaaaay! The naysayers got it wrong. This show was never boring….some dull moments maybe, just as it is so in real life…but overall, this is a feel good show too hard to pass up, packed with good vibes. One lesson I learned by watching this show daily is that happiness is really a choice.
Sure, there are stressors in life but it is my choice whether I would let it affect me or not. At the end of the day, I am still in control of my own happiness. Maya’s character is so full of positivity that I can’t help but embrace and embody it. Day in and day out, for the past year or so, I have really tried to be more like Maya. Thanks, BCWMH! My husband and kids probably would thank them too.

The part where Maya took us back briefly to their past journey through the scrapbook mementos is so heartwarming. What a journey we all have been through with this couple. You are so right in saying that there were some dull moments, just as it is in our real lives, but no episode was ever boring. You said that so well, Sister.

A LOVE’S JOURNEY
Richard is the man every parent would want for a son… every parent’s dream for their daughters … every child’s wish for a father… and every woman’s desire… until tragedy intervened and changed the man he once were. His personal tragedy overcame him and made him cold as ice, distant, untrusting, incapable of loving and lifeless. His loss imprisoned him in his own world detached from the rest of the world including his kids. He may had been there for them physically, a great provider to his family, a well-respected businessman but an unresponsive unloving and uncaring. But everything changed when fate intervened and Maya came into his life and his family’s lives. What was once a cold hearted, untrusting man that he was, had been transformed back to his old self… far better than before – a definite far cry from that stern, distant and serious man that he used to be.
That fateful encounter with Maya saving Abby from danger at the airport started what would have been a relationship like no other between them. For what started as an employer-employee affiliation became a friendship built on trust, on honesty and genuine regard for each other blossoming into a beautiful relationship based on respect and a love that withstood the tests of time. They had endured so much, came out victorious each time which only fueled their love deeper and stronger than ever.
And now as he came into his realization and envisioned Maya to be the woman he would want to spend the rest of his life with, he could no longer afford to waste any precious time. As he made that conscious decision to pursue a lifetime commitment with his Mahal na Princesa, he needed to secure the blessings of the people he loved and respected. Although they just patched things up, but as he could no longer wait and becoming restless by the day, Richard keeping his faith with his Papa, sought his blessing as he shared with him his plan to propose to Maya though emphasizing his desire for a no pre-nup knowing all too well this very issue that triggered their conflict in recent weeks… of which DR obliged to his wishes.
As he continued to plan out his marriage proposal to his Mahal na Princesa, he sought the help of Rafi in carrying out some of his plans for he wanted it to be the perfect proposal fitting for his beloved. Unknown to Maya, her Mahal na Hari is staging THE perfect proposal for her by getting her ring size, planning out the proposal and planning to seek her family’s blessings to include the kids. He needed everything to be a wonderful and well executed for this will be one event in his life that he wants to run smoothly and perfectly.
Asking for a parent’s blessing or permission has been a major part of any engagement. Although in recent times, asking for a woman’s hand in marriage is sometimes regarded as an archaic practice, but as more are still practicing the tradition, it’s still a beautiful and meaningful moment and a great opportunity to both honor and bond with the loved one’s family who eventually will be the future in-laws. When SC learned of Nanay Teresita and Mamang’s coming to Manila for a medical check-up, he seized the opportunity to talk to Nanay Teresita as he did before when he declared his love for Maya and sought her approval of him pursing Maya and promising her to love Maya assuring her of patiently waiting for that time when her daughter would reciprocate his love, respecting her until she’s ready while she embarked on fulfilling her dreams. And once he gets that blessing from Nanay Teresita, he will have to gather his kids and sit down with them to prepare them of the eventuality and also seek their blessings on his plan to propose to their Ate Maya. For it is with utmost importance that his family and Maya’s will be on board on his intentions and his heart’s desire.
Love is never planned for it doesn’t happen for a reason, and yet when love is real, it becomes one’s plan for life and the very reason for living. In a lifetime, we are bound to meet that one person who is unlike any other where we can tell them anything and everything, pour our heart’s desires, our fears, our hopes and yet never judging, simply accepting who we are, what we are no ifs and no buts. And just sometimes, someone will come into our lives, unexpectedly touching our hearts in a way others haven’t… taking our hearts by surprise, changing our lives forever… and when we do, be grateful and never let them go for when true love knocks, welcome it with open arms, embrace it and nurture it for it will bring out immeasurable happiness and pure bliss.

Hindi ko expect ganon reaction ni Nikki. As in tumili siya sa sobrang saya. Super congratulate sila sa dad nila at nag group hug este family hug sila.
Sana rin, since DR, NT, Lim siblings and Rafi already know about SC’s plan to propose, they would help naman to ‘condition’ Maya’s mind about it.

Back at the mansion, Richard talks to Raffy about his plans to propose. She is so excited. They talk about where to get a ring. Raffy knows a jeweler…text text the info etc etc. She asks Richard what his plans are and he doesn’t know. Did he tell the kids already…no not yet…Raffy tells Richard that no matter what happens don’t propose in a restaurant because that is sooooo yesterday! (I agree but I also think the creative writers have already thought of how this is going to happen so don’t fret Raffy. Have faith…it needs no proof!) She offers her help anytime Richard needs it. He says TY, she says Goodbye and that’s that.
Next scene is Luke talking to Joey asking her help for the music video. By the looks of Luke’s huge smile, Joey is going to help him. Nicolo teases Luke about Joey. He thinks Luke just wants to use the excuse of the music video to hang out with Joey. Luke swears, they are just friends. Nikki walks in with her busangot face (pouty face). Luke asks why? She said it’s because of some girls at school. Nicolo stands up and tells her he’s ready to go after them. Nikki said it’s just a small fight. No biggie. She asks L & N what they were up to? Luke tells her about the music video contest. Nikki got excited and told Luke she has ideas if he needs her help. Nicolo thanks her and tells her she really is heaven sent. Nikki tells Nicolo that she intended to help her brother and not him. Nicolo tells Nikki not to be like that. Besides, Luke doesn’t need help. Joey is going to help him. Luke tells Nikki that Joey already promised to help him. Nikki asks Luke, was he just using that as an excuse to hang out with Joey? Nicolo laughs and tells Nikki that they are really matched because he said the same thing to Luke. Nikki couldn’t believe it. Luke tells both of them for the last time…him and Joey are just friends. Both Nicolo and Nikki said “yeah right” at the same time. (I thought that was a cute touch to drive to the point…) Ha ha Nicolo begs for Nikki’s help. Nikki asked him what idea does he have? He tells her he thinks to use the song Terrified (ha ha if that is the Katharine McPhee song that would be a good one for a theme song for the two…Nicnic and Niknik…waaaaa! Super kilig) but he thought to liven it up and make it up-tempo with dancers. Nikki agrees it is a good song choice but squashes the idea to make the ballad love song into up-tempo dance music. So Nicolo begs her once more. In the end, she obliged. (ha ha Niknik couldn’t resist Mallows….aaayyyyyiiiii!)
At the airport, Edz is still feeling down. Maya helps her friend. When Richard arrived, they waited for the service to come for Edz before leaving. (Wow…Richard puts his arms around Maya’s shoulder…so natural) Back at the mansion, Nikki is having self-talk. She questions why she even agreed to help Nicolo when she has been planning to evade him. After much thoughts, she said she doesn’t want him make a fool of himself with his crazy ideas so she made herself feel better by thinking she is only helping him. (Right Nikki and don’t forget, he is Mallows with that cute face ha ha) Suddenly, she realizes a name on her facebook page. Amiel! It’s the yabang guy (boastful guy). She deletes him.
Back in San Nicolas, Mamang and Nanay T are packing for their trip to Manila the next day. Simon shows up. He’s tampororot (sulking) over the fact that Kute didn’t tell him that Mamang is sick. After finding out that Kute is not going to Manila with NT and Mamang, he insisted he would go, just to be sure, in case they needed help. The family was thankful to Simon (you are really the best Simon).
Bakit timing ang nangyari kay eds sa nalalapit na pagpropose ni SC, baka akalain din ni Maya na habang busy si SC sa pagprepare eh parang si Edward din ito me ginagawa ng mali.

CHAPTER 1. SCENE 1: (At Northwest Hills high school grounds during break. Nikki and Stacy talking excitedly about Ser Chief’s birthday party)
Nikki: It was so fun pa di ba, kasi Daddy was so game he joined almost all the activities. Tapos, sila pa ni Lolo, they sang pa for Lola and Ate Maya! Sweet na sweet!! Best birthday party ever!!
Student #1: Ang arte naman ng iba diyan.
Student #2: Oo nga, bakit hindi magsalita nang maayos.
Student #1: Dapat sa mga ganyan binibitay ng patiwarik.
Nikki (holding back Stacy): Bayaan mo na sila if they want to make parinig hayaan mo. I don’t want away, eh. I hear a lot of people say I’m maarte. And so…? (sees boy student looking at her) What?!! What?!! Whatever, I’m maarte, deal with it!!
Boy: Nothing. I know. The whole school knows….and they all hate it. But I like your guts.
Nikki: G-R-R-R! Did you see that?
Stacy: That’s Amiel. Si Amiel iyun Niks, senior transferee.
Nikki: Well, I don’t care who he is. He is so condensed milk. Hmph!!
Stacy: Condensed milk? Oh, you mean condescending! As in mapagkutya.
Nikki: Yes, that’s what I meant magpa-cute pa siya. Halika na nga.
CHAPTER 2. SCENE 1. (At the condo, Maya shows off her scrapbook to Ser Chief)
SC: All our memories, lahat iyun nasa scrapbook? That’s so sweet!
Maya: Eto ipapakita ko sa iyo. Sandali. (turns the page) Una muna, ang plane ticket ko sana sa “Dubai-goodbye”. Ayan. Ito ‘yung eroplano na pinalipad namin ni Abby. Tapos nuong pinulot mo nagkauntugan tayo. Naalala mo ‘yun? Di ba? Tapos, eto… ayan ‘yung NBI clearance na binigay ko sa iyo nuong unang beses ako mag-resign.
SC: Naitago mo lahat iyan?
Maya: Aba, siempre naman Ser Chief, mahahalaga lahat ito sa akin. Tignan mo ito ang ticket natin sa cruise nuong first date natin. Tapos, eto naman iyung isang sapatos na naiwan sa paa ko nuong hinabol natin ang cruise, hindi ba first Christmas gift mo sa akin ito.
SC: I remember that, muntik na akong napaaway dahil sinisilipan ka nuong mama.
Maya: First time kitang nakita mag-tiger mode. Ah, eto sa first date din natin, barbecue sticks. Tignan mo, Ser Chief, meron pang barbecue sauce sarap ano!!
SC: Yes, Maya, I think we had 4 sticks each pero gutom pa rin tayo.
Maya: Oo nga, tapos pinatikim kita ng balot. Eto ang mga shells nuong balot tignan mo naka-plastic bag pati na rin yung asin. Haaay, Ser Chief, ang sweet sweet ng first date natin.
SC: Oo nga, napada ka pa. You know, Maya, I, too, have a souvenir from our one of our early dates. Remember our dance sa gubat?
Maya: Siempre pa, Ser Chief, eh hindi ba paghatid mo sa akin sa condo dito first kiss natin?
SC (pulls out his wallet and unfolds a small piece of paper): Yes, pero bago tayo nag-slow dance sinampal kita dahil may lamok sa cheek mo. Eto iyung lamok.
Maya: Naku naman grabe ka talaga Ser Chief, madugo itong souvenir mo.
SC: So, anong oras kita susunduin bukas.
Maya: Ay, eh Ser Chief, kasi sila Mamang darating eh. Kasi hindi pa stable ang blood pressure ni Mamang.
SC: Wala ba siyang maintenance drug na iniinom para duon?
Maya: Eh, meron nanam kaya lang may makita duon sa lab results niya kaya sabi nuong doctor niya mag-consulta sa specialist dito.
SC: Our family doctor si Dr. Mang Kalbo, his wife is a specialist, duon na natin dalhin si Mamang.
CHAPTER 3. SCENE 1. (Back at the Lim mansion, SC tells Dona Esmeralda and Don Roberto about the arrival of Mamang and Nanay Teresita)
SC: Yes, Pa. Bukas ang dating ng Lola at Nanay ni Maya. So if it’s okey with you maybe we can have dinner with them tomorrow or the day after.
DE: Sure, son! Yeah, ako ang bahala sa kanila. O-orderin namin ng Lola ni Maya ang lahat ng nasa menu sa favourite Chinese restaurant ko; we will wash them down with Diet Coke. Ilang araw ba sila rito? Gusto ko rin silang makilala siempre. Sabi nang mga bata mag-kamukha kami so if we are the same size I can give her some of my clothes.
SC: Ma, mag-papa-check up ang Lola ni Maya so baka hindi puedeng mapagod.
DE: Is she sick? High blood? So I can help her too with vitamin supplements, food supplements. Sige, I will find all those food I bought and hid all over the bedroom. Hanapin ko at e-enpakehin ko na.

Sana naman after the major problems with SC’s kids and parents, wala nang matinding conflict pa na darating. Of course may conflict pa rin yan to spice things up pero sana they will tackle it lightly, yung cute and hilarious lang ang dating simillar to the first few months of the show.
Actually, I really don’t mind if the story gets a little serious at times. What I worry is the reaction of some viewers. Let’s face it, some may not have the maturity to go through these parts of the story. Yung iba, lubog-litaw sila, depending on the flow. Sa panahon lang ng ligaya at ginhawa, ika nga.

At the condo, Richard works his way into trying to nonchalantly get Maya’s ring size while Maya shows him the scrapbook that she made of all the little memories she’s kept of their journey together. Richard thought it was sweet but at the same time he tried to wrap a ribbon around her finger to get her ring size. (Waaaaaa Richard, you are on a mission ha ha) Then Maya updated him on Mamang’s condition. Richard suggested that Mamang see the wife of their family doctor who is a heart specialist. Maya thanks him and she sweetly puts her head on his shoulder while Richard holds her left hand and inspects her ring finger. (Nice move Richard)
At the mansion, Dona E was showing Don R pictures from the birthday party. DR is obviously uncomfortable probably because of Richard’s plans to propose. He asked DE if Richard spoke to him about something but it is obvious that she doesn’t know anything. Meanwhile, Richard on his way home from Maya’s, calls Raffy to tell her he got the ring size and he was proud to say he was subtle. He tells Raffy that NT and Mamang arriving is perfect timing. Richard tells her that he is going to ask them to have dinner with his mom and Dad. Raffy was excited. When Richard arrived he saw the kids having their milk before bedtime. He tells them the news of the coming of NT and Mamang. Then he said goodnight. Downstairs, he spoke to his parents about having dinner with NT and Mamang. DE is excited to meet them. DR pretended he is excited but he’s got a lot of things on his mind. When DE excused herself, he asked to speak to Richard outside the room. (hmmmm just when I was feeling happy about you, you are going to be sneaky again Don Say What……)
In the hallway, DR asked him if Maya’s family is coming because of the proposal? Richard said no. It is for a medical condition for Mamang. DR asked Richard if he planned to tell them about the proposal? Richard said yes. DR suggested to postpone it because he does not think this is the right time. The family seemed to be here for a purpose and that they may have too many things in mind to even think about an engagement. Richard seems to understand DR’s point. But in the end DR tells Richard, it is still his call. (Uh oh…something is fishy with DR. It does not appear that he’s got over the pre nup thingi majig. I only have one warning for you DR. Watch out. You are about to meet Nanay Teresita)
In San Nicolas, Nanay T is also feeling uncomfortable because she is afraid at what she is going to find out when she gets to Manila. She is worried about the situation with Maya, Richard and his father. She is most worried for Maya. (I don’t blame you Nanay T. I am surprised you haven’t flown into Manila the minute you learned about what happened. Afterall, your plane ticket is free because of Maya’s employment) Kute understands her mother too because she feels the same way but she encourages her mother to hold on to the fact that Maya said they are fine now. Kute also reminded her mother that even though they didn’t like what Richard’s parents put Maya through they have no right to judge them at this time (probably because they don’t know them yet).

SUITORS, PRINCE OR FROG?
In the courtship ritual, both men and ladies assess their compatibility while they learn the true character of the person who they are dating. Time essentially will aid each party to determine whether the weaknesses that they see of the other are ones that they can live with. Otherwise, both generally part ways and call their relationship off. Occasionally, there are men and women that just do not share a mutual romantic chemistry for one another, however they truly feel genuine care for the other, hence they decide to remain on friendly terms.
The suitors primarily can be categorized into two groups: the ideal prince charming and the ugly warty frog. There is a familiar Brothers Grimm children’s story that talks about a princess kissing a frog who magically transforms into a prince. In reality, what normally happens is that the princess has to kiss a lot of frogs before she finds her prince. Sometimes, fantasy becomes reality as what our Mahal na Prinsesa is experiencing with her Mahal na Hari. Maya does not have to kiss any more frogs; she already found her prince.
In this episode, Richard is excited to share his decision to propose to Maya. Raffi shares in his excitement, so do the children. Don Roberto, who always has difficulties making up his mind especially when it comes to life-changing matters, expresses his support but tempers his reaction to give some semblance of equanimity for he probably feels that he needs to wear the hat of reason and objectivity. He knows that everyone else will give his son their ringing endorsement. Hence, he cautions Richard to take his time before he asks Maya’s mother for her hand in marriage. It is after all, a very important decision that cannot be taken lightly.
In the meantime, Richard plans how he will execute his proposal. He sneaks a ribbon around Maya’s ring finger to find out her ring size. Clueless Maya is so occupied in her excitement to show her compilation of the souvenirs she has amassed from experiences she has shared with Richard, she does not notice Richard’s preoccupation with her hand. She has no idea that a life-changing event is being planned without her knowledge.
On the other hand, there are suitors who date multiple women to give them the confidence that once they make the important decision to commit to that one woman, they have already eliminated the possible alternatives that they feel need to be considered. Edward is one such suitor. For the past five years, he leads Edzaline to believe that they are exclusively dating. Unbeknownst to her, she apparently is playing the dating game and is actively pursuing other women while claiming to be her boyfriend. Consequently, Edz is totally devastated when she learns of Edward’s deception. She is inconsolable. She will realize before long that it will be necessary for her to kiss more frogs before she will meet her prince charming.
Like the Brothers Grimm fairytale, Maya, the princess actually had to transform Richard into a prince. When they first met, Richard was an ugly warty frog. Under Maya’s loving influence he gradually became the prince that he is today. The transformation did not happen overnight. Thus the lesson for single women who are looking for that ideal man for them, there is no such thing as a perfect ideal man. One has to be willing to edify the man she now has into the one she ultimately wants.
Our story has a number of ideal suitors. There is Simon who will make an excellent mate. He can be considered an instant prince with the right woman. There is young Luke who Joey considers to be a frog but to Ange, he is a prince. There is Nicolo, who Nikki thinks is her prince, today, but may become a frog tomorrow. There is also Joma, who Sabel and Doris fail to see as a prince, as they only see him as a frog. And then, there is destiny which also needs to be taken into consideration. If two are meant to be, then they are meant to be.

I do agree with you that it is difficult to imagine Sir Chief as a warty frog. Literally, no. But figuratively, yes. Remember how rude and cold he was to Maya and the children before he learned that he can actually let his guard down and trust his heart to another woman again? He was jerk before he became the crush ng bayan. ha ha ha.
Let us see how Amiel is going to affect Nicolo. Maybe he will turn into the doting prince or a warmongering frog for Nikki. ha ha ha

I was just thinking why the creative team has DR seemingly hesitant and half supportive of Richard’s proposal plan. I believe he is still hanging on to his desire to have a pre-nuptial agreement done. Maya still is clueless why father and son had a disagreement. With Nanay T coming to dinner, as Winnie has suggested above, she will definitely put DR in his place should he even breathe a word about wealth protection, during their visit. That would definitely tie this loose end nicely.

If they can’t find a ka-loveteam for him sa current roster of artists nila, maybe they should call for auditions. I remember, hirap din silang hanapan si John Prats dati. Tapos, nagpa-audition sila and that’s how they found Heart Evangelista.
Most of us are not as fortunate as our Maya. We have to kiss a lot of frogs to find our prince. Nevertheless in the process, we get to learn something from a failed relationship that helps us to grow and mature so that when we ended that relationship we hopefully come out as a better person. In our love journey, there are no accidental happenings. If we believe in God, then we should rest in the confidence that he has the right partner for us. It is just that He is still making him the perfect man that we have been praying for. Hence when we finally meet him, we will know without a shadow of a doubt that we have finally met our prince. Yowza!

i could not help but instead of crying, i was laughing. watching her so much
in pain of losing her boyfriend. who would not when she thought that he
was going to propose to her.
the reason why i was laughing, because i could not see the tears in her
eyes.or my eyes were clouded with tears also from laughter.
(i know that acting is hard for the new comer). they should have cut
the portion and redo the whole scene. veteran maya could easily express
her emotion that the viewers would also feel it.
the last time maya was crying when she was scolded by sir chief in
the summit. the whole viewers were also crying with her.
poor edzaline. i could not see the sincerity of her agony.
yeah i agree that simon would be introduced. at least simon would
have some benefits from flying when they would be couple.
i remember in the airline that i have worked before, they would sell t-shirts,
jackets, shorts and small things with the logo AA.
one thing that i bought from the vendor was the t-shirt with the words
“marry me and fly free” and the logo AA. (i was not married then, but i
noticed, it did not have some effects from women.)
lesson: you cannot buy love.

May pagkaduda ako Kay Don R telling SC “wrong timing”about the proposal, suggested to do it when Mamang is well enough. His facial expression and body language give a hint he is not for it 100%.. Op kors, he gave his words to SC and agreed to have faith on his son, so there is nothing he can do for now.. I keep my fingers crossed.
Now Edz is single. Would destiny takes its course when Simon and Edz meet at SC/Maya’s wedding(?) or even sooner? Just a wild wishful thinking.
Nakakabusog ng puso to hear from a future son-in-law that her daughter (Maya) is an amazing person. He acknowledged she is the one who bridged the gap between father and son’s strained relationship. He apologized to Nanay T on his father’s behalf. He asked Nanay T Maya’s hand in marriage. What an honorable move on SC’s part. This is one lesson BCWMH imparts to viewers for SC to ask for Nanay T’S blessing prior to actual proposal.
SC is so subtle in taking Maya’s ring size while she is busy showing her scrapbook full of mementos of their ongoing relationship. Nakakatouch naman, hay………. Mamang was so funny when she smelled SC while he welcomed the “in-laws” arrival.
Nicolo seems to be cooking up something for Luke and Angge. Nikki has a new admirer.. Hala. Mukhang magkakalapit sina Niknik and Nicnic when the two starts on making musical video for Music & Sounds to upload sa You Tube. Nikki very careful baka makahalata si Nicolo or madulas ka. Alam naman namin may pagka loose lip ka minsan.
Sa teaser, nakakainspire naman ang reaction ng mga bata after learning their dad’s intent of making a proposal to Maya. Maya has no inkling of what is about to happen soon. Ang higpit ng yakap ni Nanay T to Maya after her and SC’s conversation sa hallway.
Let us wait, more kiligs. Yipee.

it would take guts to say to your mother in law to be
that you would like to marry her daughter. i like that
to happen to my daughter than trying to by pass you and
go ahead with the wedding. we still follow the traditional
way. (as the saying: “nothing is good enough for my daughter.”)
what on earth is simon doing.
i could not help but pity the guy. no matter what, deep
inside, simon is still in love with maya. it is heart-
broken to see your dream woman being with another man so happy
and contented because you are not her type. the same is true
to the ladies. whether you like it or not, when you see
your dream sir chief has married to somebody, you would transform
yourself like a catwoman with a dagger look. it is hard to
accept reality.

maya showed to sir chief the scrap book.
the name tag that reminded them of his jealousy to captain ventura
so many things too many to mention are being kept inside the scrap
book. (but sir chief was not paying attention, instead he was smooching
her fingers like a puppy.)

it is a nice coincedence that manang theresa and mamang come to
manila to see maya. mamang could have the best doctor in manila.
manang theresa could finally confirm that their relationships
are okay. it was bothering her ever since she knew about
don roberto unwillingness to accept maya. it was dona esmeralda
who convinced don roberto to accept maya. (don’t underestimate
the power of a woman. she could wristle don roberto until his
big eyes pop-up.)
the lady in pink.
maya was wearing pink in color. she was so beautiful. she could
be so gorgeous also in the lady in red. and just like simon,
most men just wished that they were on the other side of sir chief.
i would categorize jodi santa maria as one of the most beautiful
actress in the philippines.
for ME, i have no place to think about maya. here is the reason why
after i’ve taken the early retirement.
After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for
Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver’s
License to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had
left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but
I would have to go home and come back later.
The woman said, ‘Unbutton your shirt’. So I opened my shirt revealing
my curly silver hair.
She said, ‘That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me’ and
she processed my Social Security application.
When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the

it was very short kiss. and i believe that they have to redo
the take for the first time because it was a little bit long (french kiss)
richard’s wife was there watching and she got jealous
because he would not do that to her in the privacy of their home.
so they had to retake it for the second time with a little
smooching. it is hard to act when your wife is a second director.
the honeymoon.
i would like to suggest the romantic place would be hawaii.
in fact i was so inspired that i have made a video entitled

At the airport, Maya and Richard wait patiently for them to arrive. When Maya spots them she got really excited. (In fairness, Maya’s operation balik-alindog seems to be working. She has a trim perfectly shaped body with that pink tight fitting shirt tucked in her mid waisted jeans.) She waves and calls NT and Mamang. They greet and excitedly hug each other. Mamang was tickled pink to see Richard meeting them. She hugged and smelled Richard (ha ha only Mamang could boldly do that to Richard). Maya high fived Simon. They stopped for a while to talk about Mamang. Nanay T told Maya about her sneaking in the chicharon. Mamang said that was only once. Then Simon came up with the story from Kute that Mamang was seen eating Crispy Pata at Aling Ebing’s (this cracked me up big time. Mamang was toast! Bwahaha) Mamang again said that was only once. So Maya tells Mamang that if she counted all the “once only” moments, it would be plenty of moments she ate things that isn’t good for her. Richard comes to Mamang’s rescue and told Maya to stop it. Mamang was thankful to Richard.
The group arrived at the condo. Come to think of it, this is the first time they ever met Ehman. NT was emotional and so thankful to Ehman for being there for Maya. Ehman warns her not to make him cry (ha ha my sweet darling Ehman. You are so endearing!) Mamang adores the colors on the wall of Ehman’s condo. She tells him it suits him perfectly. While the others were settling in, NT asks to speak to Richard. They walk out to the hallway while Maya follows them with her eyes. In the hallway, NT asks Richard if things have truly been settled between him and his father. Richard assured her that it is. He also apologized on behalf of his father and acknowledged that he was wrong. He said that if not for Maya, him and his father would have had a hard time making up. In Richard’s words: “Maya is really an amazing woman.” NT knows it and thanks him for saying that. Richard tells her that he is glad that they have a minute to talk. NT asks him why? He said he needs to ask her permission. “Permission for what?”
Next Time on BCWMH
Nanay T walks inside the condo from talking to Richard and doesn’t say anything but go straight to Maya and gave her a bear hug. Maya’s mouth was full of food. She is chewing and the look on her face? The look of surprise! (Maya’s face is priceless. What a great actress JSM is. I soooo love her.) Richard gathers up the kids…”I have to tell you something.” Nikki is worried because he looks serious. Richard tells them he is serious about it. “It?” Luke asks. “Me and Maya. I have decided to propose to her.” Weeeeeeeeeee! Nikki screams…Abby jumps for joy. “Ate Maya is going to be my new Mommy!” And Luke says “Congrats Dad”…They all hug their Dad and tell him how much they love him….Oooopppsss! Break! Un momento por fabor…She hasn’t said “Yes” yet….
Wow! Even though I know it will come to this, watching Richard talk about it already touches my heart. Yes…Drama queen here…I am crying!
Actually nga good choice si Maricar to play the role of Rafi na isa sa mga unang ‘pinagselosan’ ni Maya. May chemistry rin sila ni RY kaya nga very effective sya to make us believe at first na possible threat sya kay Maya. (But of course, now alam na natin na hindi pala.)
What a lovely summation. Everybody is happy except for anxious Nanay T, perturbed Don Roberto and understandably upset Edzaline. I can see that the creative writers are trying to tie all the loose ends before they end Book One. However, they are also planting some seeds to sprout for Book Two. Possibly, Amiel is going to consider Nikki his love interest. And with Simon coming back into the scene and Edz being single again, they just might become a couple. Will the team ever address Nanay T’s missing husband and Maya’s absentee father? We shall see if that thread will be left hanging for the sequel of this soap.
Thanks again for doing a very thorough summary. It makes me realize that there are details that I miss when I watch the episode. I really did miss your posts last week. I am just so glad that you are back again.

I am a bit uncomfortable with Don Roberto. Even when Richard told DR about his plan to propose to Maya and “no pre-nup” DR told Richard yes no pre-nup, whatever Richard wants…..DR’s body language and facial expression seems to be pre-occupied and a bit troubled. Don Roberto please have faith…….leave it to Richard to do what is right for him and what will make him happy. Please just support your son and be happy for him.
Kayo na talaga ang pinaka mahusay na writers sa bansa. I have not bothered with teleseryes before because of the “to be continued” episodes and most often than not, the breakdown of continuity in the storyline. BCWMH got me interested and hooked that even if I have to wait and watch midnight hay naku…..ang husay ninyo talaga. The story, the lessons imparted, the kilig, the moments, the songs and music used, the continuity and pacing, the dialogues and memorable quotes…….and of course the actors who effectively portrayed the characters……….ang galing! One whole family, kapit bisig talaga kaya maganda ang kinalabasan ng teleserye
Tinanggihan ni Alfie Lorenzo coz feeling demotion ang offer ng abs. from primetime to early morning ang show.

Ser Chief and Maya are displaying more affection towards each other, they are so sweet. I hope to see more. I think it’s more realistic if they act affectionate and express their love for each other by letting go of their inhibitions.
I don’t know what to think of DonR’s reaction to Ser Chief’s proposal to Maya. Ser Chief did what he thinks is right though by asking Nanay T’s permission.
I’m assuming he did ask Nanay T by her hugging Maya in the teaser.
Janella is a really good actress. Her portrayal of Nikki is just great.
I hope Maya introduces Simon to Eds. Simon needs a special lady in his life.
The kids reaction to Ser Chief’s news is the ultimate high. I can see Abby’s happiness because Maya is now going to be her mommy.

What made me really happy and proud was when I saw how the kids reacted when SC told them that he decided to propose to Maya. There’s a little part of me that was kind of nervous on how they are going to take it but alas I was wrong. I am so so so proud of you Luke, Nikki and Abby. Well mostly to the older kids since we all know Abby really wants Maya to be her Mom from the start. Nikki has come along from being a brat to Maya to being sweet and loving. I cannot wait tomorrow.

In our company, hindi lang talaga survey and ratings ang tinitingnan namin in deciding which shows are still worth the investment. We also check iWantv and YouTube views, pati na kung ano ang trending sa social media. And believe me, these supplemental info did wonders for BCWMH.

We either have ideas about the other person, either from stereotypes or from things that we’ve heard about people with similar circumstances, or ideas from our own experiences.
Ange initially took a liking to Luke when she chanced upon him at the university hall overhearing them scouting for clubs to join… she together with Cheska enticed him and Nicolo to join and audition for Music and Sounds, the university’s glee club. Luke with no prior intention only conceded when Nicolo urged him to audition with him and they eventually got accepted as new members. Ange, the straightforward and aggressive senior Music and Sounds member who just a few weeks back invited him for a fishball treat or tried accompanying him to his next class setting him way off, feeling so uncomfortable that he tried avoiding her when necessary. Luke, conservative and chivalrous like his Dad tried evading her until he needed her help for the music video project and just as he asked for assistance, she declined trying to shun him, evading him. That tug-of-war effect or the push-pull trick by Ange got his attention and curiosity. Bothered, he tried talking and asking her the reason for the indifference she’s conveying, the sudden cold treatment and if she’s at all mad of a wrong done of which she threw back the same indifferent reaction and treatment she got from him. Coming clean and with all honesty, he made it known, his discomfort of the straight forwardness and the kind of aggressive actions she’s doing setting him off. And that honesty rightfully earned him her acceptance and her help, plain and simple.
Perhaps, judging Ange had been easy; getting to know her for who she really is, for what she is or what she represents seemingly may take a lot of effort… rather than merely observing her from a distance. This is why getting to know that someone may just involve a lot of interaction, a little bit of small talks and a whole lot of open mindedness paired with a hint of curiosity about the person. And who knows, by just getting to know that someone new may just be a welcome surprise that can bring such good feeling… camaraderie or understanding between parties and a start of something beautiful, something wonderful.
Ultimately, getting to know someone might just be as rewarding and worthwhile endeavor for once the introduction had been secured, awkwardness eased, the rest will be easy… and will be such a breeze. All that is needed is to treat the person as a friend letting the relationship take its natural course for that will shape the person’s significance… an acquaintance; a good friend perhaps; or probably a potential partner, a best friend or romantic partner may just be a pleasant surprise..
May we remind ourselves often that people are not always what they seem for sometimes the first appearance or actions deceives many… and the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden. After all, we don’t always see what we think we see.

At the mansion, DE talks to the hired help about Maya’s famly. Opkors Manang Fe speaks highly of NT and Mamang. When Manang Fe asked why she is inquiring about them, DE told them about the dinner tomorrow night with the de la Rosas. These excited Doris and Sabel and op kors Manang Fe.
At North Hills High School, Stacy leaves Nikki at the hangout. Amiel approaches Nikki to ask if he could join her. She thought he was being fresh but he meant if he could join her at West Theatro. (Ummmm I think it is just a ploy. He is just interested in getting to know Nikki). Nikki changed her attitude and said ok. (This Amiel guy has got Damoves like Jagger. Don’t fall for it Nikki. Don’t forget you have Mallows)
At PUS hangout, Luke and Nicolo are busy talking about their music video projects. Nicolo confirms that they are meeting Nikki and Joey together? Luke said yes. It turns out that Nicolo has invited Cheska to help him with his project and apparently Ange is also open to helping Luke. He didn’t think there was going to be an issue with Joey if Ange helped Luke? Luke looked like he is a bit worried.
Maya and Kute were talking on the phone. Maya updated Kute about the doctor’s appointment tomorrow. Then Maya tells her that she found it strange that after NT and Richard had a conversation alone, NT came back into the room and gave her the biggest hug as if there is something that she doesn’t know about. Kute asked her if she knew what Richard and NT talked about. Maya said no. So Kute tells Maya that it is probably nothing. That she shouldn’t worry about it too much. Maya was still insistent but Kute stopped her. They hang up the phone. Inside Maya’s room, Mamang was fast asleep and NT was folding Maya’s clothes. NT knew that Maya was curious about what she and Richard talked about. NT told Maya that Richard told her that she is the reason why him and his father made up…that Maya did not give up on DR. It made NT very happy and proud of the way she has raised Maya. She, once more gave her a hug.
At the mansion, Luke, Nikki and Abby were watching a movie when Richard came in the room to join them. Richard turns off the television and asked to speak to them. When he had everyone’s attention, Richard told the kids that he has something important to tell them. Nikki got worried because he looked serious. Richard said he is serious about it. “It?” Luke asked. (Wow…there is an irritating buzzing sound on this part of the episode…what the heck? Calling Tech Support!) Richard fidgets trying to find the right words to say to the kids. “Ummm, Me and Maya. We haven’t been together long but we have known her for a while right? And you guys like her right?” He asked the kids. The kids all said yes. “So, I’ve decided to propose to her.” Nikki’s eyes got big. Her mouth was wide open. She and Abby looked at each other and then she let out a high-pitched shriek. “Aaaayyyyyiiiiiiii! Oh my G Dad. Are you kidding?” Nikki asked. “Wow Congrats Dad.” Luke said excitedly. “Ate Maya is going to be my Mommy.” Abby said. “Well, she hasn’t said yes yet.” Richard reminded the kids. Nikki is sure Maya would say yes. They couldn’t contain their excitement. Luke asked if he’s told their Lolo and Lola. Richard said he told DR already but he isn’t sure if he told DE already. Abby asks if after he proposes, they will get married? “Not right away” Richard explains to Abby. Nikki asked him how he is going to propose. Richard tells her he doesn’t know yet. Luke asked if he’s told NT. He tells him yes. But it is still a secret so they best not tell Maya. Luke was worried that Nikki will slip because she has lose lips (ha ha ). Nikki tells Richard she is so happy for him. Luke said him too and then Abby third the motion. Nikki and Abby got up, hugged Richard and told him they love him and Luke joined the group hug. (Sigh, first the kids and Maya sleeping in the car…that was a Maya moment. Now this one…is definitely a Richard moment. I am so happy for this family.)

Everyone goes through trials, even lovers are not exempt. Trials are God’s way of testing our faith. He says in James 1:2-4:
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
From man’s perspective, trials hurt. From God’s perspective, trials help. I once heard a preacher say that God stretches our spiritual muscles by testing our faith. He likens the process to what a weightlifter undergoes. He initially starts lifting lighter weights and gradually moves on to heavier ones. A weightlifter never starts lifting 300 pounds, he starts lifting 25 pounds then incrementally, to 50, then 100, then 150 and so on. He only increases the weight when his muscles have gotten used to the weight he currently lifts.
God trains us in like manner. He gives us trials that we have enough strength to bear; no more. Once surpassed, we would, in the process, have effectively stretched our spiritual muscles, He gives us yet another trial, incrementally more difficult but not beyond our capacity to bear. He does this to help build our spiritual wherewithal to surmount whatever trials life brings.
Edz is currently experiencing a painful heart break. For the past five years, she has entrusted her heart to someone she wholeheartedly believes in. She has been dating Edward for half a decade and he has given no indication that their relationship would not be progressing to the next logical level. In fact, she suspected that his recent absences are due to the fact that he may be arranging a surprise marriage proposal. He is temporarily transformed into somewhat of a reclusive personality; a cold and distant father to his children and unapproachable to his employees before Maya comes into his life. She defrosts his frozen heart and allows him to love again. As a reward, God gives both of them to each other to journey together through life and face whatever challenges may come their way, together. Both have gained immense spiritual strength from their individual trials so that together, with joint forces, they have the confidence to conquer anything that life may throw at them.

There are quite a bit of Christian messages woven through this drama, most of them done with subtlety. I believe it is what draws a lot of its viewers to this serye. The messages are wholesome and positive, encouraging and edifying. The underlying theme in all of its messages is love. The love of God for His people, the love of man for God and the love of neighbors for each other.

i have been reviewing the kissing scene for 10 times of sir chief and maya
and i thought, it has barely touched their lips. just like kissing your puppy.

style of kissing. they need to have more practice. we still have to wait and
see when maya would surrender her lips without reservation. (esabel and doris
could do better than that)

I agree Jeep, not all Matriarchs ng mga mayayaman na pamilya were born with a silver spoon in their mouths. There are those who came from humble beginnings but they learned how to adapt and become elegant and sophisticated ladies. This is also how I wished Maya would turn into. Lahat naman natutunan eh.

Ang cute ng smile ni SC sa dulo ng teaser! Maya oh, pa-cute BF mo! Hahaha. Hindi, loyal yang si SC sa kanyang prinsesa.
At the airport, Richard waits for Maya to come out of the terminal. They hug as they see each other. (Maya is still Ngongo. You could tell all of the airport scenes were shot in one day because when she is at the condo she isn’t ngongo. For the spokening bow wow wow Ngongo is what I mean by Maya’s voice sounding like she’s got a cold.) They have small talk about the flight but what Maya recognizes is Richard’s smile. She asks him what’s up because he looks like he’s in a good mood? Richard brushes it off as just being excited for the meeting of the two families tonight. (But me thinks Richard is almost floating on air of the thought that he is going to ask this woman to marry him…Weeeeeeee! We are just as excited like you wouldn’t believe. We are already planning a party here at the forum…I am so excited! I just can’t hide it Weeeeee!)
Back at the mansion, DE is all dressed up for dinner. Dorbel and Manang Fe admired her. She asks DR how she looked and he told her she looked beautiful. (I have to agree DE looked like the matriarch that she is ready for a dinner party. She so loves Maya that she wants to also look her best for the occasion, which is commendable.) Back at the condo, Ehman is doing his magic on both Mamang and NT that he’s locked Maya out of her room. Richard and Maya sit patiently at the couch waiting for them. Maya was getting antsy so she gets up to knock at the door again. Ehman comes out first and then NT and then Mamang. Wow wow Weeee! (is cancelled) They look absolutely elegant according to Richard. Maya covers her mouth in surprise. She thanks Ehman for the make over. (I would have wanted just a tad more make up on NT and less on Mamang but they are simply gorgeous.) Ehman sends them off but before reminding Mamang to watch her figure and don’t eat too much. Maya said they are watching her. No more food after 8 and remember fasting for the lab test tomorrow. Richard just smiles.
They arrive at the mansion. Richard takes them to the kitchen because he knows the hired help and Manang Fe (she is hired help too but she is more than that so she will always be a step above the rest.) would be happy to catch up with them for a while. They greet each other…chicka chicka! Upstairs, DE is encouraging the kids to dress up a little specifically Nikki and Luke. Nikki argues that they have already met the de la Rosas and they wouldn’t care what they look like. Luke said he is wearing shorts because it is hot. (Yep DE, these kids have been around the block with the de la Rosas a couple of times. Yall just need to chill ☺ ) DE argues that this is a formal family dinner and she wants it to be perfect. Suddenly, she is distracted by Doris and Sabel giggling and laughing. She got up from Abby’s bed to see what’s going on.
Downstairs, Mamang is taste testing the soup while the two (Dorbel) are watching. She said it is too salty and wants to know who cooked it? Fast approaching is DE yelling for them to tone it down. She walks around the corner and asks Manang Fe what’s going on? She realized Mamang and NT were there with them…FREEZE!
Na alarm rin ako diyan sa smile ni SC eh. Pero parang professional naman yung girl (I hope!), and di naman kasing ganda ni Raffi, dinaan lang sa make-up (sorry, just sour-graping!

Oh the things people do when you do not think first if it will hurt anyone or not and considering they are guest of the Lims; it is putting Maya on the spot again. Nanay Teresita and Maya were both mortified. Manners manners Mamang.
I do not like what the teaser showed……not good at all but will wait for tomorrow’s episode on how it will be salvaged. Not good vibes here folks considering the effort made to look good in appearance, yet nawala ang inner core of being nice.

291 Date Aired: August 23, 2013….The families of Maya and Richard will get to know each other pretty well. Sasarap ba o masosobrahan sa alat ang kanilang unang pagkikita?
Ang pagtatagpo ni mamang at Donya Esmeralda.
Ang taray ng tingin ni Mamang… very accomodating naman si DE.
Very warm na pagkikita ng Lim kids at mamang and nanay Teresita.
Ang taray ni Mamang!!!Buti na lang si DE mahinahon pa…and trying to be nice.
Naiipit nga lang itong lovers natin between the inlaws hehehe.
Bigla rin naman sulpot itong lovers…kala ko nasa room ni Abby.
Naku, talaga naman…intense ang usapan ng magbabalae.
Naloka ako talaga kay mamang… ang terey eh…okay naman na sila.
DR thinks they are okay…Nanay Teresita said okay sila…Mamang said ayos naman… so, mutual ang feelings ng dalawang sides.
Ayan, eeskapo na si SC…pinapatulog na si Maya… inaantok na daw sya, madami daw kasi ginawa sa office…puzzled ang Mayabels.
Na tense ako sa pag uusap nila sa dining room. Parang gusto ko magtago sa ilalim ng table sa hiya. Very nice and accomodating se DE pero ang taray ni mamang. Nagmukhang Donya Conchita ang dating ni mamang.
Nakauwi na sila sa condo, pero si mamang, taas kilay pa rin.
Marriage proposal is a prelude to a lifetime bond between two people in love who promise to love and cherish one another for eternity. But for couples to be engaged, the consent is formally given with the answer to a proposal of marriage. The act of asking for a woman’s hand in marriage can be romantic or formal and done between the couple or around people closest to them, family and friends alike.
An inspired proposal makes for a great lifelong memory which begins the astonishing adventure called marriage. Popping the question is not only one creative endeavor but should be well executed and well planned as well and for Richard, it’s one huge family matter. Since marriage will have a major impact not only on him but the kids as well, he needed to make sure that Luke, Nikki and Abby are all on board his plans of marrying their Ate Maya. After all, he learned the hard way when he initially kept his relationship with Maya from the kids so this time around… he might very well include them into his plans making it one major family matter… for they are all in this together, as a family.
In today’s world, an engagement and an engagement ring generally go hand-in-hand after all the engagement is a promise to marry, a promise of togetherness, a promise to a lifetime and the ring has come to symbolize that promise. Initially meeting the jeweler proved to be a daunting task as Richard tried his hardest to keep it a secret from his Mahal na Princesa, and yet he had not been as successful with Maya being so attuned to her Mahal na Hari that she felt something seemed to be not quite right. On the other hand, Nikki and Abby anxiously waited to get news from their Dad on the progress of him getting the right ring. True to form, Richard will have to share this momentous event in his life as he continued to prepare for his proposal to Maya and the kids will have to be included in the preparation, planning and probably all the way to the proposal itself.
Meanwhile, as he got the blessings from both families, from his Papa and Nanay Teresita, he instinctively managed to arrange for the two families to have dinner as an introduction to both families that will be coming together as Richard and Maya unite as one when they eventually marry and the two families be forever connected. And while previous incidents had given a bad taste to both families, Richard wanted to make a fresh start as he makes way for his proposal to his Mahal na Princesa, and the dinner was intended to finally have the two families meet each other, hoping everything will be in order. As it had been the family dinner came out as more of an ordeal of nervous indigestion, preceded by hidden resentment and past hurts, accompanied by emotional jitters and expectations. Unfortunately, old hurts remained and the dinner may have been civil initially, but it turned out to be, as one may put a very nerve-racking scenario of uneasiness, of differing characters not meeting eye to eye, of cold pleasantries, of clashes between members of each families and personalities defending respective loved ones, respective beliefs and ways without regard or completely forgetting the very purpose of such an occasion… which is to give support and blessing to two individuals who shared genuine love, deeper commitment and a hope of forever.
Let us hope that these two families may soon realize that family must look out for family… after all, life is not a matter of place, things or comfort; but rather a matter of family for it is one of nature’s masterpieces… it’s really not what we have… for it’s more of who we have to share it with. In the end as we think of family life, love will the oil that will ease the friction, the cement that will bind the family closer together, and the music that will bring harmony… to a united family, based on trust, on respect and ultimately on love.

Filipinos are known worldwide for their warm hospitality. Strangers and visitors alike compliment Pinoys for their friendliness and their willingness to welcome friends and visitors into their homes. It is not uncommon to visit a Filipino home without being served some refreshments. In fact, the most common greeting is “Have you eaten yet?” In today’s episode, Mamang and Nanay Teresita are invited to dine with the Lim Family. It is the first time that the Senior Lims are meeting Maya’s family. In the spirit of good hosting, Dona Esmeralda supervises over the dinner plans to make sure that the food is prepared well and the children are dressed appropriately. Unbeknownst to her, the younger Lims have already met the Dela Rosas a couple of times before, when the former visited the latter’s province to convince Maya to come back to Manila and when the Dela Rosas came to Manila for Maya’s graduation. Hence, the only ones meeting for the first time at this dinner are the four of them.
Good manners dictate that the hosts welcome their guests and accord them proper courtesy and politeness. Likewise, the guests are expected to behave similarly. However, the Dela Rosas come to this dinner with some ax to grind. They have already formed unflattering opinions on the Senior Lims based on what they have extracted from an uncooperative Maya. Unbeknownst to the hosts, their guests are going to be very difficult to please. It will take much more than a sumptuous meal to get them pacified. Consequently, even before “hellos” are exchanged, unwanted tension is already sparked between Mamang and Dona Esmeralda making for a very uncomfortable situation. It only gets worse from that point on. But knowing that they both have to keep a modicum of decorum in the presence of company, both matriarchs keep themselves in check, effectively keeping themselves from baring their fangs and barely keeping their real feelings from escaping to the surface.
On the other hand, Nanay Teresita is seething underneath her well composed countenance due to Don Roberto’s hesitation in embracing Maya as the right woman for his son. For her beloved daughter to be considered an unworthy girlfriend for anyone’s son incenses her. And the man who thinks those very thoughts just happens to be standing in front of her at that very minute. A momentary awkward moment transpires between the two when the don extends his proffered hand to welcome Nanay T and she hesitates just a tad longer to accept it. However, good breeding takes over. She knows that this dinner is important to Maya so she keeps her emotions in check and finally extends her hand to shake his. Whew!
Knowing that dinner has not been the success that she wished for it to be, Dona Esmeralda wants to have a second chance to redeem her hosting skills. Lunch is planned for the following day. The upcoming episode seems to portray more of the same uncomfortable exchange between the two matriarchs. Both of their egos seem to get in their way. They play a childish game called one up manship which basically elevates oneself over the other at each opportunity that presents itself. If they remain caught in their own self-centered ways, they will essentially hold hostage Richard and Maya’s happiness. Now let us see if their significant others can make the necessary attitudinal adjustments for them to become somewhat civilized, at the very least, so that being with them does not have to be tantamount to walking on egg shells or carefully maneuvering a walk through a mine field.

Ayaw magpa-awat, kahit nga sina Nanay Tere at Kute hindi makapagpigil sa kanya kung talagang gustuhin niya!! Kaya DE, accept mo na lang si Mamang, ganyan talaga ugali niya!!!Hindi na yata mababago si Mamang, unless, pakainin niyo siya ng putok batok…yan magiging vibes kayo pag pinagbigyan niyo siya!!!
While, yes hospitality is simply second nature to us, more often than not, the host do put their best foot forward, in their wish to simply be the best host and have a perfect event so the guest will have the best experience of their brand of hospitality. The guest on the other hand, in their desire to simply please the host would also put their best foot forward, act pleasantly and dress appropriately.. Unfortunately for this dinner at the Lim’s mansion, everything started at the wrong foot which triggered the numerous incidents that had also been triggered by the old hurts and preconceived impressions between the two camps.
It may not have been a successful flawless dinner but the good thing about it is that, there is always the next time to make things right… I guess we will have to see how these two camps put their differences aside and look past thru their own feelings to support their loved ones in their own quest for a happy union.

Siguro naman no confrontation between magjowa. Kasi pag nagkataon, the only way for SC to appease Maya is for him to prematurely divulge his proposal plans, thus proposing earlier than planned.

The dinner at the Lim residence was ill-timed. It was much too soon when DR and SC made peace and realized Maya’s place in Richard’s heart. Mamang and Nanay Teresita were still hurting from their snob of Maya. Even if they were privy to Maya’s problems, it would not have made any difference. I probably would react much the same way (or more) if it was my daughter. Anyway, I wonder what Round 2 will be like.
I guess yung .5 carat na e-ring is an ideal one. Most of the women kasi preferred higher. Pero sa pagkakaalam ko kasi about diamonds kasi you go after the clarity and color. It is better to have a .5 carat which is flawless than 1or 2or 3 carat which are brownish or not clear at all.

Hi everyone!,…. Highlight of the show was the banter of Mamang and DE they were hilarious. I hope they will get more scenes together they have good chemistry as frenemies.
Maya looks so young when she’s around the oldies, she looks like the daughter of NT and SC.
I think Simon still have feelings for Maya but accepted that he has no chance. He still shy around Maya and could not look her straight in the eyes but I was surprised that I saw chemistry between them this time, before there wasn’t.
SC plan is not going according to his plan, my guess he is going to propose sooner than later ha ha!.

Just done doing some BR here and on YT and nabasa ko yung mga iba-ibang reaction ng mga adiks sa scene ni SC sa teaser na he visited the grave of Alex.
Nakakakaloka talaga mga adiks! I understand na gusto nila syempre na lutang na lutang si Maya pero the truth is, hindi naman po binatang first timer ang minahal nya. And that’s what the story is all about- finding your true love, whether it’s your first or your second… and do everything to make it your last (there goes the show’s theme song).
Pero ako, I always find SC’s scene sa puntod ni Alex very touching. Just shows how deeply this man loves and respects. Iba naman talaga what he had with Alex and what he is having with Maya. Tama ang comment na nabasa ko that each love is different. Yung kay Alex, he has loved her and she will always have a special place in his heart especially that she is the mother of his children. It’s a love that transcended to a different kind of respect… At alam at tanggap ito ni Maya. Remember the Baywalk scene where she agreed to talk about Alex?
May comments din akong nabasa na mukhang di pa raw nakaka-move on si SC and that they don’t see the need for him na magpaalam kay Alex. Well, matagal nang naka-move on si SC.That was the time pa ata na he and the kids visited Alex with Maya when Abby began to talk again. And Alex will always be the mom of SC’s 3 children. He would just like to reassure Alex that the kids will be in good hands.
And besides, it’s just a teaser. And I don’t think this is the first time SC said that line. He also said this when he visited Alex before naging sila ni Maya. Malamang rin na may iba pang dialogue si SC dun that would explain that ‘something’ he has with Maya. Hindi pa ba enough ang tinakbo ng story so far to explain to us viewers that ‘something’ in the first place? Hay, adiks talaga. Pati sa patay nakikipagkumpetensya.

In a relationship, there shouldn’t be an expectation for anything such as a diamond engagement ring. You might need to size up your girl to know what she thinks about it in a roundabout way. If she puts the wedding off because you can’t afford diamonds, I think she just did you a favor. De Beers says it should be worth 2 months’ salary. Ha! Men should get creative and try to design a simple ring with engravings. I would love that myself. Should diamonds be a deal breaker? Heck,no. The bottom line is the girl should be able to part from it when the going gets tough. If you’re asking about the cost, yes the quality more than the size has a lot to do with it. I know the price goes way up as the size reaches a carat. So if you stay under, you are better off. It is better to have a smaller stone than a murky one, in my opinion. Be careful there is such a big mark up on these (at least 100%, yikes!!!). They’re all bloodsuckers. I suggest not buy them from a store at the mall. Get it from estate sales or family or a trusted jeweler. I’ve also heard people give a CZ (cubic zirconia) until they can get them the real one. Your call on that. I hope your girl is not reading this??? You know what is best. BTW, I have a platinum and it gets scratched easily so white gold is better and cheaper (hurray). Also the round cut is the safest one. I was underwhelmed SC got Maya a half carat, that would look really small in a 6 prong setting. He should have gone with at least a carat (only because he can afford it, it sounds better and it’s not that big, I promise). A good jeweler should make it look right.
A lot of girls like princess cut (like Alex got), it looks relatively bigger too. How about get her one with her birth stone (hopefully it’s not diamond)? I know whatever you come up with, she will love. That’s how it’s supposed to be. Good luck!

pardon me to compare my life experience but when i and my wife were about to get married,
she did not ask for a diamond ring. instead she got a gold wedding bond without diamond
as a token of our marriage(the cheapest one). that time i was laid off from work and
just waiting for the recall. when i got rehired, she got better than the diamond ring
because i gave all my paychecks for her to spend and just kept small allowance for myself.

I was really surprised that the matriarchs did not know about the planned proposal. How did this escape two of the nosiest members of these families?
Maya still looks so worried about how people around her react to things and each other. Maya, get over it. You are not the world’s fixer upper. It’s ok to have conflict. At least engaged sa conversation ang parents. They are just testing the waters, pushing their bounds and pulling when they need to. No harm done but if you don’t quit worrying, you will inherit the dreaded hypertension and you will never hear the end of it from DE (as your M-I-L, eeek!). And most of all, they are grown ups who were responsible for raising the two of you and then some. Back to trust issues again.
Speaking of the ring: Honestly, I was surprised with the size not that it should matter. SC kept referring that Maya does not want this, Maya does not like that. Really? How about you, SC? What do you really want to see on Maya’s finger for the rest of her married life? She will love what you want her to have. But you are rich for a reason. You are a good steward of your money and to think of her possible preferences is a good thing. Is it possibly a way to prove to DR that you are not going to just spend your money on Maya and not your children? Maybe. Knowing that SC can afford anything, it is not a big deal that he only bought her a half carat diamond. At least it’s colorless, hopefully it is also flawless. Since it is not mentioned maybe there is some symbolism about it. We are never flawless but we can shine like a colorless diamond to allow the most light through inward or out whatever our size is. Technically, I think 6 prong is an overkill for the size of the diamond but it may mean something again like security or safety, whatever. I’m thinking for the benefit of the writers.
All these spats and banters are irrelevant at this time. DE is stepping out of bounds when she kept on Mamang’s illness. That’s not how she normally acts specially fresh from a few weeks’ worth of agonizing emotional ride. Mamang is just on point. I am on her team today. The Lims might have gotten their way for a while with Maya but Mamang is out to prove she is keeping the dela Rosas’ pride flag waving mighty high all by herself, make up and all. I love this woman…
DR has a nervous and guarded facial expression as always. I don’t think he has anything else to say to rock the boat. I am impressed with how DE keeps her face so poised while exchanging words with Mamang. Very classy kahit na nangungulit except out of control with her commenting on everything Mamang has to say or do or eat at that! I also like her today and in fairness, she is remorseful and is quick to do damage control.
I will be very disappointed if this proposal happens too quickly because the writers need to add a little more depth to the love affair still. Just doing this by way of SC’s timeline seems like a business deal. The story is unidimensional. It is flat and again compressed and rushed. It feels like an afterthought and they are really running against time. Oh well… Life goes on.
By the way, today I’m not in the mood for wardrobe nitpicking except I like Ms. Abueg’s style. Maybe on Monday… Ok, I have people to see, places to go and margaritas to imbibe. Cheers!!!

According to the interviews with the two leads, the only time they would not air is during MMFF, logically, since the movie is still being shown. this episode is true to lots of parents who would visit another
parents before the wedding. not all parents are created equal.
some are well to do and some are have not. by the time they
step on the other territory, the comparison begins. filipino
pride begins. and the bride and groom who are listening wish that
they should not have met them in the first place.
both mamang and donya esmeralda were to blame. they monopolized the
conversation that supposed to be a wholesome gathering. or mamang lacked
social grace as she came from the province and the high blood pressure
was to the boiling point.
mamang typical pride not to be downgraded and expect donya esmeralda
to respect her as like donya. raising her head as if she was the
first lady of san nicholas. manang theresa had to hold her because
every time she spoke, there was a hint of contradiction and contrast.
donya esmeralda also counter punched with the high blood comments.
mamang dropped the bomb when she said that;”bakit ninyo pinahirapan
si maya.” as a guest of the house, that comment was un-called for.
it would create tension between them. what suppose to be a happy
occasion turn out to be a disaster. in this episode, you could see
that maya was worried and embarrassed to the end and more when
sir chief said that he could not see her and something came up.
the viewers would have sleepless nights thinking for an answers
but that would happen only on monday.
there are times in reality that wedding cannot continue because of
the parents intevention.
the most embarrassing wedding i have attended.
it was the usual wedding in the big hotel with all the guests enjoying
the delicious food. almost perfect in the sense that the music was
perfect, the set up were spectacular, attended by important people
of the community until the time when the best man turned for him to
give a well wishing words to the newly wed. i did not know the relation
but alcohol to the extreme called for a head crashed encounter.
he was drunk and could hardly stood going to the podium. he was telling
a story about how angry he was because his family were ignored and
because they were not rich family to begin with. the groom stood to
punch the guy but was held by couple of guests. and that was embarrassing.
sorry that this is not the part of the episode but could happen to
any wedding events and so many horror stories about their wedding.
that’s the reason why the bride would cry at the end not because she
is finally a bride but because the wedding turn out okay than
some uncontrollable disaster.
why we love this show.
because we can relate this happening to our own lives.
it touches our hearts and our own experiences. on the other hand,
maya and sir chief has to bite the bullet together with manang
theresa as the two donyas smooth their differences. we will expect
pound for pound fights next week or i might be wrong, instead
hugs and kisses.
the most thrilling encounters.
1. that maya would finally see her father. then the dots would be complete.
2. that simon will finally open his mouth to edzaline and also his longing
to be with her. maya would surely suggest to go the the bayboulevard and
invite her friend to eat balut with him. that would energize the sleepy
feeling of edzaline. (i did not suggest that they would make babies first)
i guess mahirap lang tanggapin yung mga conflict na ang chakit-chakit tapos ang tagal… kaya gusto bilisan na agad para happy-happy… pero yung matapos na talaga ang BCWMH, ibang usapan yun… kasi ako personally, iniisip ko pa lang, ang hirap na tanggapin ang laki kasi talaga ng contribution ng BCWMH to my daily life, yung mga struggles and everything, nood lang BCWMH, wala na agad stress… sabi nga ni JSM, at the end of the day, matatapos at matatapos ang story ng BCWMH pero sana not too soon… kung kelan, ayaw kong isipin — in denial ang peg ko, i am sure mahihirapan ako maka-move on from this tv show…

i could not blame you, i am with team mamang myself. nobody is to blame for their awkwardness
in the dealing the whole scene. it is just normal for both parents to over-react especially
as important as maya and sir chief relationship. both of the camps have tried their best but they don’t
know how to. in the other instances, both of them are to blame for not given in to each other.
how did maya win the hearts of all the family starting from nikki, luke, sir chief, dona esmeralda and lastly
don roberto (the hardest part to convince). through her humility and “pasensiya”. she gave all of them
the benefit of a doubt. if there was a person who was insulted and accused most of the time, no other than
MAYA herself. how could we ever forget how she stood by even to the worst unthinkable situation.

It is so consoling to know na HINDI AKO NAGIISA sa addiction na ito. my hubby and kids make fun of my fangirling. I dont talk to anybody, as in anybody, while watching the show. Even yung products na inendorse nila, I try to patronize. kesehodang mas masarap ang coffeemate sa krem top at di naman ako kumakain ng rebisco biscuits. Nobody has colds and coughs samin pero buy pa din ako solmux and tuseran. At least yung flanax eh talaga my husband takes it. siguro kung may pambili lang ako ng Nissan Almera at may budget for a manulife insurance policy kumuha na rin ako. Barong, he wore a suit on his first wedding. Maya is so Filipina, he has to wear a barong. I just hope they tailor it for him unlike the ill-fitting one on the Pambansang Awit video.

Hello! I’m sure everyone knows about the proposal except for Maya. There lies the conflict, hopefully, it’s shortlived para kasalan na. I think it will be a Filipino inspired wedding, si Kute seguro will wear a barong. I’m sure Emman will wear something with pink. I hope Mamang’s make up won’t be too bold. As for the ring, I know Maya is a simple girl but half carat is waaay too small, just sayin.

There are some comments dun sa line ni Sir chief na ” nothing compares to what we had ” referring to Alex and “something between me and Maya”. Any opinion?
Hindi naman ako nega pero that line is true.hindi naman talaga pwede i-compare kung ano meron sila ng first wife,kun ano meron sila,di pwede na icompare kung ano meron sila ni Maya.totally magkaiba.
Pansinin nyo na hindi nila pinag uusapan ni Maya, it’s because hindi kailangang pag usapan at hindi issue.
Ang ganda lang nung eksena na nagsabi si SC, nandun ang respeto.
Wala naman talagang dapat i compare. The fact na may 3 children si SC from Alex eh napakalayo talaga kung ipipilit na i-compare…unfair yun.
Nagsisimula pa lang sila in a relationship at marami pang experiences at memories na gagawin bago pa man lang kahit kalahati ng meron si SC at Alex.

Just done doing some BR here and on YT and nabasa ko yung mga iba-ibang reaction ng mga adiks sa scene ni SC sa teaser na he visited the grave of Alex.
Nakakakaloka talaga mga adiks! I understand na gusto nila syempre na lutang na lutang si Maya pero the truth is, hindi naman po binatang first timer ang minahal nya. And that’s what the story is all about- finding your true love, whether it’s your first or your second… and do everything to make it your last (there goes the show’s theme song).
Pero ako, I always find SC’s scene sa puntod ni Alex very touching. Just shows how deeply this man loves and respects. Iba naman talaga what he had with Alex and what he is having with Maya. Tama ang comment na nabasa ko that each love is different. Yung kay Alex, he has loved her and she will always have a special place in his heart especially that she is the mother of his children. It’s a love that transcended to a different kind of respect… At alam at tanggap ito ni Maya. Remember the Baywalk scene where she agreed to talk about Alex?
May comments din akong nabasa na mukhang di pa raw nakaka-move on si SC and that they don’t see the need for him na magpaalam kay Alex. Well, matagal nang naka-move on si SC… That was the time pa ata na he and the kids visited Alex with Maya when Abby began to talk again. And Alex will always be the mom of SC’s 3 children. He would just like to reassure Alex that the kids will be in good hands.
And besides, it’s just a teaser. And I don’t think this is the first time SC said that line. He also said this when he visited Alex before naging sila ni Maya. Malamang rin na may iba pang dialogue si SC dun that would explain that ‘something’ he has with Maya. Hindi pa ba enough ang tinakbo ng story so far to explain to us viewers that ‘something’ in the first place? Hay, adiks talaga. Pati sa patay nakikipagkumpetensya.
Ok lang yun, mukhang mas mahal at maganda ang engagement ring ni Maya kesa kay Alex.

I think that those scenes sa puntod ni Alex are some of the most poignant and heart-warming scenes. Just goes to show what kind of person SC is. He may be madly in love with Maya now but he respects, treasures and holds special the mom of his kids. Parang feel ko di nalalayo sa tunay na ugali ni RY. He exudes such an honorable persona. He’s a class by himself. And I think that is what is driving us crazy and makes us go gaga over him.
Can I just say ang gwapo gwapo talaga ni Richard Yap kanina sa ASAP? I mean gwapo naman talaga siya pero gwapo x100 siya dun sa suot niya. Oh my

The teaser was misleading because the shot was semi side view – biglang tingin may hawig sa hugis but front wala na. So she is Rafi’s friend the jeweler. Whew!
Maya on the other hand is wondering why Richard was in a hurry.
Nikki is true to form wanting to be on top of what and when Daddy is planning for the proposal and Abby too, it’s a girl thing…….. I just hope Nikki will not blurt out any of the plans for the proposal.
Simon, hay naku…..medyo shy to tell Maya what he saw at the airport……buying time pa but I hope the next episode he makes a move. Eds needs someone to talk to, I hope Maya notices Simon’s interest and nurture her friends’ relationship.
On the teaser…..
• Dona Esmeralda and Mamang are going head to head, hay naku…… each not giving an inch, every statement taken with double meaning. They keep on rubbing each other wrong. Mamang is so mataray, despite her promise to both Nanay Teresita and Maya di patatalo, eh guests nga sila. It would seem the lunch is going to be a disaster.
Nanay Teresita will tell Mamang and Don Roberto will tell Dona Esmeralda about Richard’s plan to propose to Maya just to avert the continued duelling match of Mamang ang Dona Esmeralda – pareho kasi mataray.
• Nikki felt awkward, Nicolo I knew you were going to have a problem because you told Nikki Cheska’s name previously and of course Nikki will be uncomfortable because you did not tell her first before she met Cheska. Luke was right in saying he will tell Joey first. Si Mallows talaga, dense.
• Then Maya wanting to celebrate but then Richard is not available, something came up.
BCWMH writers you really know how to tease us……leaving us hanging with all possible questions on why, what happened, ha?????? Ang tagal pa ng next episode……..

Hindi Rebisco, pera. Mr Yap has been very strategic with his endorsements so he can protect his good reputation. He’s a really good marketing person & he markets himself very well. He handles his celebrity as a business and he’s succeeding at it. Well done.
