Zel MINNER STRENGTH

Life is a continuous ups and down, twists and turns. They never really end, not long after we are able to control one situation when we are confronted by another and another. It’s always like moving two steps forward and one step back. As we all journey thru life, we simply stumble from one problem to another, big or small; small or big… small problems with limited consequences or big problems with enormous consequences. And no matter how smart or careful we are, we will face life’s struggles, challenges, and those heartbreaking adversities every day or week or month of our lives. And going thru such many struggles and when things go terribly wrong, only then, do we know what we’re really made of when push comes to shove, when the chips are down… only then are we aware of what lies at the very core of our character… for our behaviors on the outside are indicative of who we are on the inside

Richard had gone thru a lot of adversities in his life. Some trivial, others life changing… Some he recovered rather quickly, others took him a long time. And now that Maya had been hospitalized, he’s again confronted with yet another adversity, coping with a loved one afflicted with dengue. Although he was very worried on Maya’s condition, he had to set aside his own fears, his worries for the sake of everyone. He may had at one time doubted and feared for what might happened if Maya wouldn’t recover knowing fully well that dengue can be life threatening but Manang Fe was quick to stop him, giving him his needed boost after all he needed to be strong for everyone. He needed to be strong for Maya so he could handle all that she would need from transferring her to the best hospital, the best doctor, communicating with the doctors and staff for all the treatment, meds and all. He also needed to be strong for the kids as they all got worried and scared for Ate Maya’s condition especially Abby while keeping them updated. He needed to ensure that the kids especially Abby would not skip meals and got proper sleep and that they didn’t neglect their school and studies. And he also needed to be strong for Maya’s family, for Nanay Teresita so he can be there for her and handle her needs and be able to explain any updates and treatments the doctors will have and be administering especially when Maya had to be transferred to the ICU and updating Kute of Maya’s condition. And lastly, he’s the one running around for errands like getting Maya’s stuff, meals and whatever that will be needed by Maya, Nanay Teresita.

They say strength of character isn’t always about how much we can handle before we break, it’s more about how much we can handle after we’ve been broken. We never really know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have left. And in the end, by going beyond our own adversities by taking care of others and keeping the faith, we gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage and that greater sense of calm.

Obvious naman at first, coming from a modern generation, na hindi siya naniniwala sa herbal medicine like tawa-tawa pero lahat talaga gagawin niya para kay Maya. Sorry sobrang nawawala ako sa eksena lately dahil lagi akong lutang kakaisip. Nakakainis kasi! Kung anu-ano na ginagawa ko para kay Crush. Ganun ba talaga? Kahit magmukha nang tanga basta para sa taong gusto mo? Kayo? Ano ba ang kaya niyo gawin para sa taong gusto ninyo?

Hoping hindi mabigla yung katawan. Prayers sa kanilang lahat sa set for a good health. Pareho talaga tayong lahat ng nafi-feel. Magkahalong kilig at saya.

Just finished watching the whole episode. Di ko kasi nasimulan kanina. Grabeeeee bakit kayo ganyaaaan. Kahit exchange of I Miss You at I Love You lang over the phone, sobra akong kinilig! As in tumbling sa kilig. Pano pa kaya bukas na magkikita na sila?

And that scene na nagluto si Ricky at Lim kids for Maya, aw so heartwarming.

I think effective naman yung tawa-tawa kasi when I had dengue last year, madalas ako pianapainom nun and fortunately, one week lang yung dengue fever ko and di naman umabot sa point na sobrang baba na talaga ng platelets. I don’t know kung dahil dun yun but maybe that helped naman.

Ayuuun. Finished watching the episode naaaa! Ang galing lang talaga, BOW sa buong BCWMH team na naitawid nila lahat yun ng maayos kahit one week hindi nakapagtape si Jodi!

Sooo. Ayun oh, dumadami na kaming #TeamNikMiel eh kashe naman kashe, bakit hindi mo mabasted, Nikki ghel? Aminin mo yaaaan!!! Nadedevelop na, sana ang ending talaga si Nikki ang partner ni Amiel sa play. Hihi

Cynch HonradoI anticipated that they will show Maya in hospital since they have used her actual ailment as part of the story.
Transferred to the ICU due to bleeding, Maya will now be given transfusion – there is an acceptable threshold for platelets to drop, transfusion is required once the minimum level range is reached since the patient needs enough time to respond to the blood transfusion, hence monitoring will be done (2x: AM and PM) daily to see if the patient is responding with platelet count increasing until it reaches its normal level, only then will Maya be declared well, at least two days of normal level with no changes before discharge. The antibiotics will take care of the high fever.

(I had two days of platelet count going up slowly after transfusion, on the 3rd day it reached the normal level, had to have another day of normal count with no changes before I was discharged).

Nikki girl is in a fix, Stacey reminded her to be careful with Amiel’s heart……feeling that Nikki was going to turn Amiel down.

Besides liking Amiel being attentive and nice to her and also to Abby, Nikki has to be careful with Amiel’s feelings since he is the lead actor for West Teatro and they are going to have their play presentation soon. Nikki asked him outright to focus on their play and their up-coming exams.

I am just wondering if something might happen that Nikki will have to portray Maria Clara so that Amiel will be effective as Cirsostomo Ibarra and make the play presentation a success. Hmmmmm.

Nicolo on the other hand lost his courage and couldn’t tell Luke. As he told Aira, it is not a good time with Ate Maya sick and Luke is scheduled to go to Singapore.

Nikki is still young and Nicolo heard Luke tell Nikki the same thing…..so it is but right that he let it go for now . When Nikki is in college and Nicolo still likes to court her, then Nicolo can tell Luke his feelings for Nikki and asks his permission if he can court his sister out of respect because he is Luke’s best friend. This takes away the feeling of taking advantage of being the best friend especially if Nicolo did not pursue Nikki while she was still in High School.

I love the Lim children going down and being with their Daddy. Bonding time, cooking late dinner, eating together. I love it when Abby said, Daddy I can’t do everything.

Richard requests Sabel to look for the “tawa-tawa leaves” and have it ready when he goes back to the hospital. At the hospital, Richard gives Nanay Teresita the thermos of boiled juice to give to Maya later.

(It is only now that I have heard about this kind – the usual I know are oregano – for cough, guava leaves for wounds and skin irritation, malunggay for breast feeding mothers, and sambong for kidney infection),

Little Abby is so concerned with Ate Maya. So far, all have been able to assure her that Ate Maya is being taken well cared of by the doctors and she is consoled and accepts that she is not allowed to visit as of now. I just hope she does not find out that not only Nanay Teresita but Kute are both in Manila or else she will be worrying again.

Sobrang touching lang ng scenes ng Lim kids, yung dalawang ghels kinukulit si Kuya Luke sa bedroom! At yung dumating si Daddy Chief na nagluto ng fried rice ng midnight! Enebeeee! Para lang talaga silang tunay na family. Ayun lang, hindi ako nakumbinsi sa pagkumbinsi ni Ricky sa mga bata na Maya will be fine kasi siya nga, super worried na. At grabe si Nanay Teresita, boses pa lang niya, matataranta na ako! GALING!

Sana hindi lang postponed ang SG trip ni Luke, sana cancelled na yan! At I am soooo happy that DorBel is baaaack! Nakakamiss rin ang kakulitan nila. Kamusta naman ang pagpapahanap ni Ser Richard ng tawa tawa sa hatinggabi, all for the love talaga!

Hot WasabiPROVIDING COMFORT

When a loved one gets sick, it is a natural response for those who are close to that person to be concerned and worried of her condition. They express their love, care and support in various ways. In this episode, the characters of our story demonstrate the different ways in which loved ones of an ill person convey their concern for the afflicted.

Family members instantly flock to be where their sick loved one is. Nanay Teresita immediately flies to Manila to be with Maya. In Nanay’s absence, her surrogate mother, Manang Fe never left her bedside to care for her needs. Moreover, Richard makes sure that he is in constant communication with the doctor so that he can anticipate what Maya needs to recover quickly.

The best care possible is secured for the ailing loved one. Richard spares no expense. He employs his resources and his connections to make sure that Maya receives the best of care. She is moved to a better hospital, treated by the best doctor and is given her own private room.

Family members pray for their bedridden loved ones. Kute tries to reassure Cho that nothing serious will happen to Maya. At the same time, Luke, Nikki and Abby find comfort in each other by lifting each other’s spirit. Although it is not explicitly shown, all of them imply that in their worried state, they are praying to God for Maya’s speedy recovery.

Friends show their support by helping in whatever way they can to lighten the burden of the afflicted family. Doris, Sabel and Joma quietly demonstrate their love and concern for Maya by preparing and delivering nutritious meals for her while she is confined in the hospital. Even in the middle of the night, they willingly scour the neighborhood to look for an herbal plant, euphorbia hirta, which is noted to have properties that help to increase the platelets in patients suffering from dengue, Maya’s present affliction.

Essentially, everyone who loves Maya show their unity in wanting only one thing, her speedy recovery. They all work seamlessly as a team to help carry the load, to lessen the stress, to lift one another’s spirit and to pray for their loved one’s quick restoration to health. In other words, through their actions they exemplify the concept of “kapit bisig” in tangible form.

What a heartwarming trait that human beings innately possess and readily express when a loved one is afflicted. They surround the person with love and support and pour a bountiful of good wishes on the one who is bedridden so that he has nothing left to worry about but to essentially focus on getting well.

This episode is sooo filled na naman with heartmelting lines like… “Hindi ko kakayanin kapag may nangyari kay Maya.” “You know, I wouldn’t let anything happen to her, right?” At syempre ang super duper kilig na phone call na… which IMO mukhang better na yung voice ni Jodi dun “Hindi na ba ako pwedeng tumawag sa fiance ko?” at “Maya, I love you, you know that right.” Kilig na kilig na ako hindi mawala sa isip ko na naman ang something came up! Kayo kasiiiii!!!

AT WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! Hindi ko naman inexpect yung andyan na agad si Jodi!!! Juiceko BOW naman talaga sa galing ng editors oh! Siguro unang eksena pa lang ni Jodi, yun na agad, pampasabik sa mga adik!!! At haaaaa!!! Dahil totoong Maya na ang andyan, pwede na ang holding hands? Enebeee!

Tapos yung may subuan, matutulog si Ricky while holding Maya’s hand sa tabi ng hospital bed, etc

Yesterday we were watching the 60th anniversary celebration of TFC almost six of us, friends and neighbors were all in tears ,when BCWMH music played,
Toni Gonzaga and Nikki Gil rendered the song with SC .We felt the emptiness in uor heart with out Maya on the stage with SC.

Hmmmpp…yung totoo lang, ha? May sakit talaga o gusto lang mapanood yung unang tagpo ng magsing-irog na totoong si Jodi na ang nasa hospital bed? Gusto mo pa nasa sariling bed mo ka rin para maka-emote ka nang husto na ayan si Ricky Boy, hinahaplos-haplos ka na because “he loves you, he really does. You know that, don’t you?” Sigue, hintayin mo until something comes up. Get well soon!!! Everybody else na may sakit, mag MayaRicky Therapy na rin kayo…imagination lang ang kailangan.

So happy to see Jodi , feeling ko biglang nabuhay ang dugo ko..just like what Boss Gabby said that BCWMH won’t be the same without his baby Jodi… i love the effort though of the writers kasi me pakurot kurot na kilig pa rin with the phone conversations but nothing compared when we see them together…ahhh, the chemistry..even Ser Chief’s appearance at the 60th celebration seemed bland , sorry but i guess i am just so into these two when they are together…i hope bawi sila sa kilig on the next episodes….a simple gesture of haplos sa noo on bedridden Maya would raise the kilig level.

JR RI was caught by surprise to see Maya in the teaser pero tumalon ang puso ko sa saya when I saw her with SerChief. Winnie, you are right, watching RY sing without JSM is different. It’s as though there’s a gaping whole in my heart.
We noticed RY has been working double time this past week due to more scenes to shoot brought about by revisions in the script and it showed how stressed he is. His acting is not even consistent with what the scene calls for. I’d like to believe he’s been affected personally that he seems out of focus. Jodi is his professional partner and have both been working as a team that her absence really shook up his mojo.

Jodi Sta. Maria is a real pro no doubt about it. She values the show and the followers more than her health. I’m fervently praying she’ll get back in tip top form from her health crisis. Hope they both cancel their US shows to recoup. Sorry I know everyone of us in the US are looking forward to see them but their well-being should be first and foremost in our hearts.

Ako naman, I wasn’t really expecting the show to do this well dahil nga wala si JSM, especially rin because sa mga nabasa kong negative comments at the start of the week. Idagdag mo pa na finals week ng most schools. I was expecting nga, lagapak to mga 15% ang ratings nila pero good thing hindi. Sa totoo lang, yung mga 18-19% days pa nga nila may not just be attributed to JSM’s absence alone. If you’ll check rin the ratings of the competitors, lower than usual rin so baka additional factor rin that those were not really ‘good days’ for daytime viewing.

Siguro rin kaya medyo tumaas ang ratings towards the end of the week, maganda ang handling ng BCWMH sa pagkakasakit ni Jodi kaya people realized that they still have good episodes pa naman. Also noticed that later on, the negative comments turned to praises. Good move for them to focus first on the subplots, which would eventually strengthen the SC-Maya story. Nakatulong rin yung mga phone calls ni Maya to keep the kilig alive. Ang galing lang din ng pag-incorporate ng writers sa story ng real-life illness ni Jods. Ngayon, we will see how SC is afraid to lose the love of his life, now that he was given a second chance to be happy.

Joy San Antonioglad to know that Maya is getting better….I wish and pray for her good health and speedy recovery. She is awesome, still able to do over the phone voice while she is sick. Thank you Maya!

I am expecting na babawi sila for the kilig missed during Jodi’s absence. Not only that, mukhang lahat ng plot within the story ay lalong gumaganda. Since we are expecting good episodes, hope maging normal na ang ratings and maging GV na ulit ang viewers. Lapit na ang sembreak so I hope more people can see and enjoy the coming episodes.

SaLoves GemAng Sweet ni SC pati mga junakis nakikisimpatya kay daddy singkit syempre ayaw nilang makita ulit na malungkot ang daddy nila…you can see that SC tries to stay in control of everything magmula sa paglipat ng hospital, mga gamit, pagkain na kailangan ni Maya kahit aircon pinupuna niya dahil kahit man lang sa ganoong paraan ay makatulong siya or ma divert ang attention para maging busy siya kasi alam niya na hindi niya kontrolado ang situation in case something happens to Maya and as soon as the doctor went out of the room Richard finally shares his fears with Manang Fe and she can sense what Richard is thinking but she immediately appease him that Maya will be fine….talagang kilalang-kilala niya kung paano mag-isip ang alaga niya at kung ano ang pinagdaanan niya dati noong malawan siya ng minamahal. Pero malay niyo bukas o makalawa ay bumuti na ang kalagayan ni Maya…knowing Maya ayaw niya ng nega baka ma-block ang blessings sa paggaling niya 🙂 Cheers mga ka-adik tuluy-tuloy na ang pagbabalik ng ating MNP.

Hi sis! Ako naman, I wasn’t really expecting the show to do this well dahil nga wala si JSM, especially rin because sa mga nabasa kong negative comments at the start of the week. Idagdag mo pa na finals week ng most schools. I was expecting nga, lagapak to mga 15% ang ratings nila pero good thing hindi. Sa totoo lang, yung mga 18-19% days pa nga nila may not just be attributed to JSM’s absence alone. If you’ll check rin the ratings of the competitors, lower than usual rin so baka additional factor rin that those were not really ‘good days’ for daytime viewing.

The man has just gone to Cebu to a gut wrenching visit with Maya’s long lost Dad and now he comes home to this and Maya’s condition seems to worsen. Kute is also on her way to Manila to be with Maya. she of course couldn’t handle the fact that Maya now is in ICU. I wonder if she is going to take Cho with her or leave him with Jeff’s parents? She could. He knows them. They just live in the nearby town. Even Nicolo is cognizant of the situation at the Lims with Ate Maya so he puts off his issues and just lets them be. Zel MWow Sis HW you posted early… It’s amazing how Maya had touched a lot of people, her family, the Lim family including Manang Fe, Doris, Sabel and Joma and her friend esp. Eman and that when she had been afflicted with dengue everyone she touched came in the Kapit Bisig mode to give her comfort and simply be there for her, loving her, caring and wishing for her fast recovery. Maya had really done good that when she’s the one in need, all the help, support, the love and care came pouring… she is truly filled with so much love from the people closest to her. Thankie sis for highlighting this in your pov today… for it also gave us comfort knowing that Maya had been truly given all the comfort and love she truly deserved. See you at the next page…

“As you sow, so shall you reap” means everything that happen to us is a result of our own actions that whatever we sow or plant, we will receive a harvest… and if we sow love, we shall reap love; if we sow kindness, we shall reap kindness and so on… It can also mean that we are in control… for what comes our way in the future is determined by what we do today. The seeds we sow today will be the harvest we shall reap in the future… the harvest will depend solely on us and the seeds we have planted or sowed

Maya consistently lived her life sowing the seeds of love, kindness and understanding to those she loved and cared the most extending even to those around her, her neighbors, her friends, ordinary people she met along the way or just about anyone. She never held grudges even to people who had done her wrong like her Tatay for leaving her and the whole family without knowing why; Ms. Belmonte for putting her down initially or even Richard when he was still her mean Sir Chief and employer; or Luke when he thought she squealed against him with his cutting classes and later on finding out she’s their Dad’s girlfriend; or Nikki’s looking down on her during her earlier days of being Abby’s Nanny and not accepting her as the rightful girlfriend and partner of their Dad; or DR and DE’s questioning her motives, doubting her love for Richard. All these, she never held any grudge instead; she showered them all with unconditional love, teeming with understanding and a lot of patience that she eventually got all their approval and love as well. She had given her unconditional love to everyone, to Abby especially and the rest of the Lim household, to her friends and family. She had done nothing but loved them all, understanding them when they needed to be understood; helping them when they needed some hand holding; listening to them when no one seemed to have the time and capacity to do so; being there for them when friends couldn’t make it or that mother figure had been long gone; bridging that generational gap between father and son; and keeping harmony where harmony and unity was needed. She did all that and more.

And now that she is down, with one of the hardest times she had to go through especially that dengue can be a life threatening condition, and her ailment and hospitalization disrupted the course of her normal life, her planned vacation to Bohol with Nanay Teresita as well as the planning of their wedding not to mention her duty as FA at Time Airways. Unable to do so much with her current condition and just letting the medication and treatment take its course, it’s a relief that she’s getting all the help from those she loved and those words of encouragement, all the love and care that she’s been getting kept her to go and fight the disease as she could and be hopeful that she would overcome the disease and bounced back to health once again. While Richard, Manang Fe and Nanay Teresita stayed by her side, having their turns to keep her company, attending to her needs; Luke, Nikki and Abby made cards for their Ate Maya and Luke compiling songs on his Ipod for Ate Maya to listen to; Sabel and Doris securing the Tawa-Tawa leaves and preparing its concoction for her while Joma delivered them to the hospital. And of course Eman for taking her to the hospital when she got worse, staying by her side until Richard arrived. As Kute and Cho are preparing to go to Manila to visit Maya and stay with her and care for her too, Tatay Arturo, on the other hand, upon finding out Maya’s condition set aside his shame and guilt and immediately rushed to the hospital to be with his daughter not knowing how everyone will take or accept his presence.

For Maya, there is no greater joy or reward than to make a difference in someone’s life, especially those she loves the most for whatever makes them happy is what’s making her the happiest. They say the happiest of people are those who don’t even think being happy for they only think about being good people, good neighbors and happiness just sneaks right back in while they are busy doing good to others. As Albert Einstein said, “only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile”.

Let’s heed this beautiful words from Maya Angelou – Love life, engage in it, give it all we’ve got, love it with passion, because life truly gives back, many times over, what we put into it.

Winnie R OntiverosAbby comes home from school with Doris and find Sabel with a whole sack of tawatawa. While in the kitchen washing the tawatawa plant, Richard calls up Doris asking for the tawatawa. He tells them to hurry and prepare it fast, send it through Joma because Maya is now in Intensive Care. Doris and Sabel were both shocked but they kept a pleasant demeanor for Abby. Richard overheard Abby’s voice so he asked to speak to her. Abby asked Richard if something happened to her Ate Maya? Richard said that they just moved her to another room. She asked him if she got sicker? Richard said that the Doctor is just checking up on her. Abby asked if they placed a needle on her Ate Maya? She said that is painful and she is worried that her Ate Maya is in pain. Richard told her that her Ate Maya is not scared of needles and she knows that she needed to get better. Abby told her Dad not to worry. They are making tawatawa juice already so Ate Maya would get better. Abby asked Richard to give her Ate Maya a magic kiss from her. (That’s right baby keep asking Daddy Singkit to give your Ate Maya lots of magic kisses. :-D) Richard promised and then he ended the conversation with Abby. Doris and Sabel tried to divert Abby’s attention by telling her to make a get well soon card for her Ate Maya. (Good job Doris and Sabel)

At the Chibugan, Lino asked Kute if she heard from Nay Teresita yet? Kute said no but she is anxious as well. When Cho arrive home from school, the first thing he asks is whether Kute has heard from his Lola Nanay? Kute gave him the same answer. Shortly after Cho and his classmate went upstairs to do their homework, Nay Teresita calls. She tells Kute that Maya is still in ICU. Kute couldn’t take it anymore. She told Nanay Teresita that she is on her way to Manila with Cho. Nanay Teresita couldn’t do anything to stop Kute. She understands that Kute wants to see for herself how Maya is doing.

Richard and Manang Fe arrive at the hospital to relieve Nanay Teresita. Manang Fe said that she cooked something special for her. They went back to Maya’s room to eat while Richard stayed behind to watch over Maya. At the mansion, Doris told Nikki and Luke that they didn’t tell Abby the truth about Maya’s condition because they didn’t want her to worry. Luke thanked her for doing that. Luke and Nikki took the snack tray to Abby’s room hoping they could cheer her up. However, they found Abby distressed. She went online to find out what ICU means but couldn’t read some of the words and really do not understand. She knew they were trying to hide the truth from her. (Awww Abby you are too smart for your own good.) Luke told Abby that Ate Sabel and Ate Doris just didn’t want her to stress over it. Nikki told Abby that Ate Maya does not want to see her crying because if she sees her crying then she too will be sad. Abby told Nikki and Luke that the Internet information said that ICU is dangerous. Then she connected the dots and asked if her Mommy stayed at the ICU as well? Luke and Nikki were stomped at her question. But Luke was careful to answer. Luke said that not everyone that ends up in Intensive Care Unit ends up like their Mommy. (Luke you are right.) Nikki agreed with Luke. She tells Abby that Intensive Care Unit means the patient is going to be well taken cared of so the patient could get better. (Hmmm Nikki you are only halfway right but it’s ok for the young mind of Abby.) Nikki tells Abby that is the reason why they placed their Ate Maya to ICU so she will get a good chance to get better faster. Abby said that she just wants her Ate Maya to get well. Nikki consoled Abby and promised her she will. (Awww this is such a touching moment. Luke and Nikki are such great siblings. They learned to be careful with Abby because of Maya and Richard. They will someday become really great parents to their own kids.)

Dorbel cooks champorado and tuyo for the kids kaya lang lalo nalungkot sila Nikki dahil naalala nila yun first day na nagluto siya noon may bagyo .

DENNIS VILLACORTEWow, let the tears flow, both sorrowful and joyous. That was one tearful episode for this viewer. Sylvia Sanchez was the image of motherly devotion, and one look at her face got my waterworks going.

It’s amazing how mysterious is God’s hand. A real life malady for Jodi Sta Maria becomes the means for drawing the Lim and De La Rosa families together, showing the depths of love and devotion of all including the loyal household katulong. A mother’s and a sister’s (and nephew’s) frightened concern. A fiance’s boundless love. This scary event becomes the moment for a father’s return to his family! Ahh, I want to cry!

watching today’s bcwmh epi (323), i heaved a sigh of relief seeing maya already being allowed to shoot
scenes for the serye, altho it is right inside one of the hospital’s room. maya is recuperating right before
my eyes. what an experience, indeed! so who can blame me if i ask you to sing with me:

in the course of watching today’s epi, i thought that in the silence of his heart, SC may be reflecting what
he has been thru in life…he suffered draught when he lost the mother of his children…like years of long
cold lonely winter. however, maya came into SC’s life and the spell was broken.

to include the long-lost tatayA. in today’s epi, maya is again leading the way for everybody to be upbeat that
she will conquer the dreaded dengue fever. i am positive that soon (hmmm…as in tomorrow’s epi?) these are

2375 days agoTess DowI’m so relieved that JSM/Maya is strong enough to work again which means she is out of danger. There has been many twist in the story and I suspect not part of the original BCWMH story lines and yet matutuloy parin tayo sa kasalan. Sabi nga ni Maya, humaba haba man ang prosisyon, sa simbahan parin ang tuloy :). There maybe lots of detours, they will still end up in their original destination.

I am going to ignore the fact that Abby did not wash her hands when she started eating with her hands….. (urg!)
Overall I am happy with today’s episode. The kids nowadays are so smart. Abby: knowing how to use the internet to find an answer to her questions. Cho’s worried expression says he doesn’t really believe that his Ninang is getting better and Kute’s reason for going to Manila but he just let it go.

Manang Fe and Nanay T’s acting are so good with the fake Maya in the hospital. I am still feeling the seriousness and gloominess of last week’s episodes. It was intense. Tatay Arturo, I‘m so happy you are going to reconnect with Maya…. of course I know this, all the fans knows this… we just get carried away sometimes lol! @Winnie, your storyline is so close!

We may take a while before we get to the happy GV GV like last year epis but malapit na ulit ang Christmas… we will get there again! I’m happy for SC, hindi ka na ulit nag-iisa.

Everything works together for good to those who love God, and are called according to His purpose. This is what Romans 8:28 says.

Maya may be sick but she is quickly on the mend. She is surrounded by the people who truly love her. And her wish that she will see her father one day is about to come true. Her dream that the family is going to become whole again is finally going to be a reality. All the major players are in place. Nanay Teresita is by Maya’s bedside while Kute and Cho are on their way. Likewise, Tatay Arturo is also on his way up from the lobby to her hospital room. Destined meeting? I think so. This is what Romans 8:28 is all about. This scriptural passage is manisfested before our very eyes. Its practical application is being portrayed in the lives of our beloved characters in this drama. “All good things come together for good to those who love God, and are called according to His purpose.” Granted, Maya’s getting seriously sick so that she has to be admitted to the ICU is not a good thing. But God still uses this unfortunate situation for good. Through her illness, her entire family rallies around her, even family that she has not seen for more than a decade come out of the woodwork.

In the most recent past, I can think of another bad thing turning into something good in the lives of the Dela Rosas. Mamang’s death is definitely a tragic loss to the family. But because of her death, Tatay Arturo has found the courage to check on his family up-close, something that he would never have considered if Mamang is still alive. After all, it is his mother-in-law who catches him in his adulterous act and subsequently banishes him from his family. Now that she is dead, he is technically no longer bound to staying away and he is in no way showing her any disrespect when he tries to reunite with his family again. In fact, now that she is no longer around, he feels emboldened to pick up the slack where she left off.

In the earlier episodes of the story, yet another bad situation turns good when Maya is forced by circumstances to find employment abroad after Kute falls off the ladder and breaks her leg. The family borrows the money against their home, the loan pays an overseas employment recruiter to secure Maya a job in Dubai, but the latter absconds with the money. This bad situation lands Maya in various odd jobs in Manila which ultimately leads her to rescuing mute Abby, which in turn lands her a job working for the Lim family as the latter’s nanny. And one thing leads to another until Richard falls in love with Maya and proposes to marry her.

Circumstances that happen in our lives, especially when we are presently mired deeply in it, do not make sense. We have a tendency to question God for letting these circumstances transpire. However, if we just put our wholehearted trust in Him, He will surely make even the worst of situations become a beneficial event in the end. He makes ALL things work together for good, for those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose.

All of us have a perfect 20/20 vision, in hindsight. When we look back at past events in our lives, we can see bad things turning out good. What circumstances can you think of that was initially tragic but from it something good comes about? Do you see God’s Hand in it?

Winnie R OntiverosAt the hospital, Richard went inside the ICU. His presence woke Maya up. She looked pale and weak. She opened her eyes and sees Richard. He apologized for waking her up. She told him she is alright. She asked Richard if he is worried for her? At first Richard was going to hide the truth but he couldn’t be honest with Maya. He held her hand tightly and said yes he is worried. Maya held his hand back and said that she is fine. She promises that she just fine.

Inside Maya’s hospital room, Nay Teresita and Manang Fe share a meal. Nay Teresita tells Manang Fe that she is thankful for her and Richard because they have helped Maya through this. She appreciates that Maya is in a great hospital, with a private room and complete facility. Manang Fe assures Nay T that whatever happens Richard will never forsake Maya. He will always take care of her. Nay T said that her daughter is very lucky. She wonders what would happen to those that are not so lucky? She wonders how those people who do not have anyone, not a friend or a relative that could help them? How about those that couldn’t afford to pay for health care? (Yep there are many of those even here in the US. I know what you mean Nay T) Manang Fe told Nay T that it is difficult to be sick because not only is it expensive but it is also a burden to the family members of the sick. Nay T said she admired Richard because of his strength in coping with everything that is going on. Manang Fe told her that Richard is just good at keeping his true feelings at bay. Truth is, he too is scared and worried. Nay T asked if it has something to do with what happened to his first wife? Manang Fe did not answer. What she said is the kids are also worried. They look at Maya as their mother already. Nay Teresita told Manang Fe that the worst isn’t going to happen. Maya will never allow it to happen.

In Abby’s room, Abby shows her siblings the unfinished card that she made. It has a picture of a huge sunflower. Nikki thought it looked great and she and Luke told Abby they were going to help her with it. Luke said that they would also make a card for Ate Maya. Nikki said that they would send it with their Dad or maybe they could bring it themselves. They will post it on the wall of her room so that when she returns she will see them. That got Abby excited.

After eating, Manang Fe told Nanay Teresita not to clean up. She will take care of it. She wants Nay T to go on ahead and go to Maya. Nay T told Manang Fe that she would tell Richard to go home to the kids so they are not so worried about Maya. Manang Fe thought that was a good idea. Richard sat on Maya’s bed just staring at her while she slept. (Wow, I do not see the blood transfusion happening. Maybe it is over? But this scene looks so real) Nanay Teresita walks in the room. Richard told her that she woke up a while ago but she fell right back to sleep. Nay Teresita was pleased to hear it. She told Richard to go ahead and take a breather, maybe have a bite to eat. She could stay behind to watch Maya. Richard said he is fine. (He doesn’t want to leave Maya behind.) Maya tried to wake up. She called on Nanay Teresita. She asked Maya if it is ok that Richard leaves to go home for a while? Maya nodded. She turned to Richard and said, “Ricky, you should go home and grab a bite to eat. You have been here all day. Have dinner with the kids. I feel bad for Abby for she might be worrying.” Richard held her hand and said that he will be right back. He walked around the other side of the bed and Nay Teresita thanked him with a hug.

Mary Janylyn Ca�AdaOMG!!!! Ihanda na natin ang box of tissue/panyo for the scene na magkita na si Nanay Tere/
Mang Arturo and Maya. Plus Kute and Cho who will be arriving from San Nicolas. I am sure that
Maya can forgive her father easily but I am not sure about Kute. I remember the time na nag-propose
na si SC nang marriage and deep within her thoughts she said “Tay, ikakasal na ako”. Wishful thinking
of Maya that her father will be around during her wedding. But still, I want Kute and Nanay Tere to bring
Maya to the altar, kasi si Kute ang naging mother/father ni Maya when Mang Arturo left them. I hope he has
valid reasons for doing it.

I am happy to see Dorbel na magka-ibigan na at hindi na nag-aaway.

Ano ba ito, everytime kausap ni Nanay Tere si MF, laging may luha ang mata ko. Nakakaiyak
ang kanilang scenario. Maybe its just me, longing and missing my mother. You can really see
the unconditional love of a mother thru Nanay Tere and MF. Anybody who is sick longs to be
with their own mother, I am sure. Sabihin na nang iba na OA ako sa ka-iiyak, I don’t really care.

How sweet of the bagets to make personalized card for Maya. Baby Abby, I love your sunflower card.
You really know your mother/Maya very well. I love also the bonding nang tatlong bagets and SC while
having champorado at tuyo (miss the tuyo too).

SC, Daddy Singkit, Daddy Bango, magpahinga ka naman. I know that you are worried about Maya,
but you need to rest too. Asan na ba iyong Magic Kiss, hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa nakita? Go, go, go……

Maya/Jodi, relax ka lang ha, baka mabinat…..Ikaw talaga iyong Ms. Positivity, hindi magpabagsak ang dengue
sa iyo.

Bravo sa creative team to incorporate Jodi being sick in the story plus Mang Arturo. I am wondering how they would
have included Mang Arturo before Jodi got sick. It pave the way and made it easier for the creative team to include
him in the story. Mind you, but I would not want Jodi to be sick. This is just my thought for today.

I would still want Jodi to join the group sa concert dito sa NJ. I bought the ticket, the moment I learned that
Richard Yap and Jodi will join the group. I would not have bought the ticket if they will not be there. Ingat ka lang
Jodi sa health mo, please.

Nakakatouch naman yung ginawa ng Lim kids, at ang gaganda ng card ha! At kamusta naman yung unli tawa tawa nina Doris at Sabel! Iba talaga pag okay silang dalawa, nakakagaan din ng pakiramdam!

You have outdone yourselves again, by recreating the storyline to depict the real story of Jodi getting sick. The countless hours you all pour into it to make it real to all of us. This teleserye has been a part of our family and and our daily lives. Nakiyak tayo, naki tawa, nainis pero nakapagpatawag din naman tayo. All because the love of family is consistently portrayed throughout the serye. That no matter how each of us has differing opinion on things, we reserve for each other a degree of respect and from there we continue to build our love for each one another. Gerard SulitFor the most part this is the most non dramatic teleserye I have ever seen and I love it. There are no amnesia, paternity or DNA testing and sombody dying and coming to life after. However, I can sense that the directors can not help but insert one of those dramatic circumstances. Maya’s Dad will have to donate blood for Maya because he is the only one compatible that can be accessed. Really, how dramatic. For the most part, I love it. Please refrain from using the usual dramatic Filipino Teleserye cliches.

Ang treatment., pagmamalasakit sat pagmamahal ng bawat isa sa kanila ang modelong dapat panoorin ng lahat, lalo na ngayong pahahon na ito. Ang sarap panoorin…Pero sana maayos na na sina nikki at Nicolo, Simon at iyong kaibigan ni Maya na stewardess, Luke at iyong probinsiyana …and of course si Mang Arturo at ang pamilya niya..I heard na gagawa sila ng pelikula based on this soap opera na alam kong gagawa ng history sa pabkablockbuster but kahit na..please huwag ninyong aalisin ang soap opera na ito..please.. please..pleaseeee

Winnie R OntiverosAfter dinner Abby shows Richard the cards that they made. She showed Richard that she drew a sunflower for her Ate Maya because she knows she likes them. Richard agreed. Next she shows him Nikki’s and then Luke’s card. Nikki told Richard that they sprayed her favorite scents on the card. Richard smells them too (Maybe he thinks of Maya when he smells her favorite scents waaaaa. Nice touch kids.) Luke gives Richard his Ipod. He said in case she might want sounds, he has lots of good music for Maya. (Aawww Luke if I was sick I would love that too.) Then Doris and Sabel shows up with bottles of Tawatawa juice complete with ribbons. Richard thanks them. Abby asks him if her Ate Maya would like their cards? Richard said he is sure she would. But he said what would make her even happier is Abby herself for being brave even if her Ate Maya is sick. He kisses Abby and tells her he is proud of her and of course Nikki and Luke too. They are all so sweet. They truly were Kapit-Bisig for Maya.

Next Time on BCWMH

Richard gives the cards to Maya. First Abby’s, then Nikki’s and then Luke’s. Maya was surprised that even Luke made one for her? Richard said he is jealous. He never got a card from Luke except when he was in kindergarten. Maya laughed. Abby visited Maya at the hospital and she smiles big at her Ate Maya from behind the glass window. They signal thumbs up to each other and the Kapit-Bisig gesture. She also gives her a flying kiss that Maya caught and placed on her cheek. (It makes me happy to see Maya and Abby. They sure have that great chemistry.) Tay Arturo calls Richard to tell him he is in Manila. Not knowing what is going on, he tells Richard he wants to see Maya. Richard told him that Maya is in ICU at the Pacific Global Medical Center. Tatay Arturo rushes to the hospital. When he asks the front desk for Maya’s room, they asked him his relationship to the patient. He tells them he is her father. (Waaaaaa! The time has come! I can’t wait till tomorrow!)

Maria TanVery heart warming episode, i have watched it multiple times already, can’t get enough of it, Ricky and his children shows how much they love and miss mommy Maya, the scene between Nanay T, and Maya made me cry, i saw myself on that particular scene, in 2010, i got very sick and i was in the ICU for 10 days, my mother was with me all the time and stayed with me through my ordeal, praying with me and my children, with a lots of prayers and support from my family, i survive that ordeal, BCWMH family, creative team of writters , producers and of course ABS CBN thank you for giving us such a wonderful show, that shows a lot of values and character of a family, and Maya take care, …. When we are healthy, we enjoy all the pleasures of the world, we can move, we’re flexible, we go thru our daily activities without delay, obstacle or struggle. Unfortunately, we do get sick in the course of our life – we may be struck by a short-lived illness or suffer a grave or life-threatening ailment. Illness is part of life and when we are down with it, we feel immobile and restricted. It is during these times that we seek the love, care and attention of our loved ones, family and friends more than ever. And while those with illness need to rest and recuperate words of encouragement, showering of love and care bring happiness that helps in alleviating the suffering especially when received from loved ones. Being sick after all is no walk in the park but it will be a lot easier and whole lighter knowing that family and friends are thinking of them, sending well wishes for a fast recovery.

Caring for a sick loved one is one great way to say “I love you.” While there are different languages we can use to communicate, same goes with love for there are languages of love we can show. The languages of love are not confined to expression in words for we can show or express them in so many different ways – thru words of affection, spending quality time, thru giving of gifts and tokens, thru acts of service and thru touch.

Some WORDS OF AFFECTION that warm the patient’s heart include the simple words like “I love you,” “Take care,” and “Get well soon” or, saying specific examples of appreciation; or thru written words which have special meaning for a message written even in a post-it note can be a treasured token. To show their love, missing their Ate Maya, Luke, Nikki and Abby each made their own “get well soon” cards for their Ate Maya after which, Nikki sprayed some scents that Ate Maya liked. Abby even heeded the advice of Ate Sabel by writing “We miss your Tawa-Tawa” adding some humor to make her smile. And when Abby came to visit, she waited until her Ate Maya had woken up and even without words, she conveyed her love for her beloved Ate Maya thru her gestures of love, giving her hand signals to show how much she missed her and how much she loved her with her flying kiss, and by doing Ate Maya’s kapit-bisig hand gestures and a thumbs up. Delighted, Maya responded lovingly to Abby’s hand gestures of love which in return delighted and made Abby very happy.

Unlike words, TIME is limited and for the afflicted time is in short supply as rest and sleep are needed for the most part in order to recuperate. So for a loved one to spend time with the patient may very well be the gift that is the most challenging to give, and thats why it is mostly appreciated when we take time to sit down and hang around with the patient. From simple conversations to just being with Maya, Richard, Manang Fe and Nanay Teresita were able to show their love and care for Maya as they each took turns to be with her at the ICU making sure that she was taken care of, her needs and companionship also provided. With restricted movement for her, bonding time with her would be something appreciated knowing she felt loved and had been surrounded by her loved ones.

To show love, some would give GIFTS to the afflicted as a special token of love. It’s one way of telling the patient that he or she is important or that he or she had been thought of and giving wishes for a fast recovery. The kids brought flowers, balloons and banners and together with Eman, decorated Maya’s room to give their love and support for her getting better. Even Edz and Joshua visited bringing with them some gifts to wish Maya well and hoping she gets better soon.
And then there is that moment-to-moment opportunities for those important ACTS OF SERVICE to make the afflicted feel better… for our loved ones find pleasure in doing things for the one afflicted with illness. It’s always heartwarming to know that family and friends do the acts of love for the afflicted when he or she can’t do it herself. Richard had been running a lot of errands for Maya, ensuring that she had the best care, getting her stuff, caring for her, keeping her company giving her his undivided attention and even meeting with Corrine to ensure that the wedding preparations were carried out. Manang Fe aside from taking turns in accompanying Maya and looking after her with Richard and Nanay Teresita, she also cooked meals for Nanay Teresita and Richard ensuring they were well fed and had the energy to care for Maya. Doris and Sabel, while left at the mansion, went beyond with their effort to look for Tawatawa leaves and prepared the herbal concoction while Joma delivered all the stuff to the hospital. The same goes for Eman when he visited her and also drove Nanay Teresita to the hospital and ensured she also get her needed rest.

Zel MAnd lastly, when words are scarce making it difficult for the patient to communicate, expressing love thru TOUCH is one great way to show love to the afflicted and stay connected. Richard and Nanay Teresita constantly showed their love to Maya by helping her out be comfortable at the ICU, holding her hands to show they cared deeply, giving that mother’s hugs and kisses and lots of that TLC (tender loving care).

The greatest healing therapy is friendship and love. Time and again, “tender loving care” has been recognized as an important component in healing for love give us strength to fight even the harshest of diseases and being surrounded by those who love us the most give us the courage to go on and will ourselves back to health.

I think it will take a while for Nanay Teresita to accept Tatay Arturo back into her life and the lives of her children. Her forgiveness will come slowly. An old wound effectively just got reopened and the hurt from the pain it previously inflicted on her comes screaming back all at one time. However, she knows that Maya has always dreamed of seeing her father again. Consequently, she is open to the possibility of allowing her father to visit her bedridden daughter. She may not be ready to welcome her ex-husband back into her life, but she knows that her daughter has always had a special place in her heart for her father. So, Nanay will relent and allow Tatay to hang around the hospital if it will help Maya recover quicker.

Forgiveness is a good thing. It is an imperative step that needs to be taken before healing can take place. However, it is not an easy thing to do.

There are three kinds of forgiveness. The first is JUDICIAL. This can only be administered by God. He freely and graciously gives it when He pardons us of our sins and transgressions. For our part, we need to realize that we have committed a sin, be remorseful of it, ask for His forgiveness and He, in His infinite grace and mercy, grants it, willingly.

The second is PSYCHOLOGICAL. This has to be done by the victim. The victim will have to let go of any desire to exact personal revenge and not harbor any negative feelings towards the person who caused the offense. Moreover, the victim has to be willing to extend grace to the offender. This is easier said than done. But if the victim deems her mental and physical health important, this definitely needs to be done.

The third is RECONCILIATORY forgiveness. This is the offender’s job. He has to be remorseful and repentant when asking for the victim’s forgiveness. The offender initiates the step towards restoration of the broken relationship.

Nanay Teresita cannot grant judicial forgiveness, only God can do that. Likewise, because she is not the offender, she cannot give reconciliatory forgiveness. However, she is responsible in granting or withholding psychological forgiveness. If she wants to live with peace in her heart and her mind, she will have to realize and acknowledge that she needs to start the process of forgiving Tatay Arturo.

To effectively do this, Nanay Teresita will have to consciously embrace the hurt and the pain that her ex-husband inflicted on her. She has to acknowledge the anger, shock and frustration he caused and deal with them instead of suppressing these emotions. Hence, it would be healthy for her to confront Tatay Arturo so that she can unleash all of these emotions that she has kept pent up inside her all these years.

Next, Nanay has to ask God’s grace to help her forgive Tatay. Initially, she will have difficulties forgiving him herself. But if she is willing to borrow God’s strength, in the meantime, He will supply her with the necessary strength to do so. With time, she will slowly gain her own confidence and will realize that she no longer feels bitter towards the person and that she has actually started to forgive him, on her own accord.

Finally, Nanay will begin to feel comfortable enough to be in the same room as Tatay. Conversations between them will be natural and normal again. Then and only then can she really accept him for who he is and no longer think of him as the one who once hurt her. She will finally realize that peace has since replaced the anger that she used to nurse in her heart. She has finally released him of his offenses and has definitely forgiven him.

other’s eyes. those are meaningful eye contacts that can surely break everybody’s hearts.
it is again a cliffhanger of an episode that we the fan-adiks can’t wait for the continuation of the story.
we have yet to know if nanayT knew all this time that tatayA left her for another woman, and yet she’s
still avowing that she still loves him.

today am sharing this song that really fits to a T nanayT’s circumstance (whether she knew beforehand
tatayA’s errant way or she will know just now after his confession). i suppose it can be considered in
the genre of pinoy kundiman as the original singer, cely bautista is one of its patron way back in time.
it is a hard-to-find song and am more than happy to have found this on youtube. the song may be long
forgotten (or perhaps never been heard by some) but the message is immortal that it can definitely stand the test of time.

btw, there is a portion of the song where a narration is done by ms. helen vela, of the famed tv series,
lovingly yours, helen. i believe this show is the precursor of the now long-time running MMK (maalaala mo kaya)
of ms. charo santos-concio.

Winnie R OntiverosIn San Nicolas Kute and Cho are preparing to go to Manila however they could only get a chance passenger the following day because the flights are fully booked. Nay Teresita continues to update her every chance she gets. She told her that they are waiting for test results and they are giving her more blood to increase her platelet counts. Nay Teresita reminds Kute to pray. After Kute hang up the phone, she looks at Mamang’s picture and spoke to her to please not take Maya with her just yet. (I understand speaking to the dead. I do it all the time specially when I go and visit my Dad’s grave.)

At the mansion, Richard goes into Abby’s room to find all three sleeping on Abby’s bed. (These kids are so tight that when something is troubling them they tend to flock together as if being physically together makes them stronger. I like that. It reminds me of us. During a strong typhoon in the Philippines we used to get scared so we all sleep in one room together.) He takes the cards that they made and the bottles of Tawa tawa from Doris and Sabel and he headed back to the hospital. At the ICU, Nanay Teresita stands outside the glass window just watching Maya when Richard arrived. He tells her to go ahead and go to the condo to rest up. Joma is waiting downstairs for her. At first, Nay Teresita was hesitant because she said there are many things to do if Maya wakes up. She told Richard that Maya has to be fed, and call the doctor if she feels pain. She also needs to change her clothes. Richard said he could do it. He could also call the nurse to help him. After much convincing, Nanay Teresita agreed to go to the condo to rest. Richard walked her downstairs.

After he returned he went inside the ICU. He started to talk to Maya who is still sleeping. He told her that he brought something for her from the kids. He hopes that she likes what he brought. He told Maya that Nikki said she sprayed a scent for her. He told the sleeping Maya that the kids are coming to visit tomorrow. He also said that Kute and Cho are going to be arriving tomorrow as well so he wills Maya to get better. He said that if she is better tomorrow, he will tell her his surprise. “I found him.” Richard said. He turned around to put the cards on the wall when Maya woke up. She asked him what is he busy about? Richard turned around and was happy to see Maya awake. He told her that Abby asked him to put the cards on the wall so that when she wakes up she will be surprised. One by one Richard showed Maya the cards. The first one he showed is Abby’s card with the huge drawing of Sunflower. The card read “Get Well Soon Ate Maya. We miss your Tawa tawa..” (ha ha that is form the influence of Doris and Sabel.) The next card is from Nikki. The outside of the card read Get Well Soon. Inside is a message that said, “Dear Ate Maya, Please get well soon. We really really miss you and love you very much. Love, Nikki…PS I have a bit of kwento pa. (I have some stories to tell you.)” And the third one that Richard gave her is from Luke. Maya was surprised that even Luke made her a card. It just had big bold letters that read Get Well Soon. Richard said he is jealous because he never gets a card from Luke. He said the last time he got one from him was when he was in kindergarten. Maya was pleased. She was smiling.

The following day Kute wakes up Cho to get ready to go to the airport hoping they could get a flight out today as chance passengers. At the same time, Nay Teresita and Ehman talk at the lobby of the condo. Ehman told her that his parents are going to have a mass dedicated to Maya for her quick recovery. He is also excited about Wilson coming to visit Maya at the hospital. He told Nay Teresita that Wilson was Maya’s classmate in college and he has a huge crush on him. He also said that he sent a message to everyone in his batch to visit Maya. Nay Teresita told him that she is thankful for him because he is such a good friend to Maya. He told Nanay Teresita that Maya has been good to him as well and that she is one of his very best friends. He is just sad that when she gets married she will leave him and he will end up being alone again at the condo. Nay Teresita told him not to worry for she will tell Maya to come and visit him often. (Yep Ehman you are a true friend to Maya and that is why we love you.)

Love today’s episode filled with suspense. I had my mouth and eyes covered, then screaming and peaking through my spread fingers.

Nay T’s reaction of shock and anger is only but normal. She has said in the past that she will accept him back into her life, if and when he returns. And I believe that this will happen, but only after they sit down and have a heart to heart talk. There are a lot of questions unanswered and Tay Arturo will have to come clean and tell the truth. Until then, trust is still compromised.

It’s SC’s turn to be in the hot seat! It has always been Maya under scrutiny. It will be interesting to see how he handles Nay T’s wrath. Nay T…Pls Be Careful With SC’s Heart. He did this for his love for Maya!!!

The next 3 days will be full of excitement and anticipation!!! Hala!!!! Wag nyo munang bigyan ng stress si Maya, nagpapagaling pa sya! After the initial shock and the air has been cleared, they will be one big happy family again. Maya has been praying for this, and now that the prayer has been answered she needs to embrace it, thank God for it and be the instrument of forgiveness. Like Abby said, our family is getting bigger. Yes!! Abby you can now have 2 grandfathers and 2 grandmothers who will dote on you. ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY!!!!

Nikki has a hand full of balloons and Abby is holding a pillow. Doris is carrying a bouquet of flowers and what looks like reading materials and a dvd? Abby is much too excited to go. But before Nikki got to load the car, her phone rings. It is Miss Corrine reminding them of her appointment with Richard today. Nikki promised to remind her Dad. Nikki and Abby got in the car and off to the hospital they go.

In Maya’s room, Richard was resting when they walked in. Nikki and Ehman were happy to see each other excited over decorating Maya’s room. Abby greets her Dad (or should I say she smelled her Dad.) Nikki thought he was in the ICU with Maya? Richard said that Nay Teresita arrived and she took over. She sent him to the room to rest. Luke said it is perfect. They could stay at the hospital so he could go home. Richard said he’s fine. He was able to sleep already. “But Daddy, you need to take a shower because (Abby smells his Dad like Maya smelled him when she was drunk bwahaha. Abby is soooo Mini-Maya) you smell bad already plus you have eye bags now.” Abby said. “Abby…” Richard said. Luke and the rest laughed. “It’s true Daddy so go home and fix yourself so when Ate Maya wakes up later, you will be handsome again.” Abby said. “Fine little Atty. You win.” Richard replied. (ha ha she is definitely Mini-Maya) Nikki reminded Richard of his appointment with Miss Corrine. Richard said that he almost forgot about it. He said he would take care of that meeting. Abby requested to see her Ate Maya before Richard left. She wants to be the one to give her the Tawa tawa juice. Richard said ok.

Outside the glass window, Abby wants to go inside but Richard told her that she is not allowed inside the ICU. At this time, Nanay Teresita arrived. She asked Richard why they do not go inside the room? Richard said that he needs to leave to meet with the wedding planner and he also need to go home and change first. Besides, Abby is not allowed inside the room. Nay T said that he should go on home and she will take care of Abby while he is gone. Richard thanked her and left. Nanay Teresita asked Abby if she misses her Ate Maya? Abby said yes. They patiently wait until Maya woke up. When she did, Abby got excited. She waved to Maya and she waved back. She gestured Kapit Bisig and Maya did too. She blew her a flying kiss and Maya caught it and placed it on her cheek. (These two could communicate well without saying a word to one another. Their connection is simply amazing. But I bet Abby is dying to give her Ate Maya a big hug. Soon Baby soon.)

At a restaurant, Richard meets Corrine the wedding planner. (He didn’t go home to take a shower and change first. Maybe he is running late.) It saddened Corrine to hear about Maya’s illness and wondered if Richard wants to postpone the date of the wedding? At this time, Richard is uncommitted. He said that is an option but not quite ready to make that call. He didn’t want to rush Maya after her recovery and he knows she has to regain her strength. (For the honeymoon? 😀 ) But he needs to discuss it with Maya first. For now he wants her to communicate with him all the wedding plans and he wants to continue the preparation for the wedding. Miss Corrine obliged and began to show Richard some details for the souvenir give away etc.

Ako, I expect nothing but the TA issue to have closure by December (other than the wedding of course). The other subplots can wait until the movie or Book 2, should the management decide to push through with these. Anyway, ang style talaga ng most hit teleseryes is may mga subplots na binibitin para may point of continuation if sure na na babalik sila.

Teka lang bakit all of a sudden galit si NT na nagbalik si MA? akala ko ba miss niya rin ito. Does this mean na alam niya rin na nambabae asawa niya???? Also look at the John Lloyd-Sarah movies, It Takes A Man And A Woman was supposed to be their final installment, pero nung may clamor ang fans na sundan pa, ayun, in the works na raw yung 4th installment.

Richard took this opportunity to tell him that Maya is in Pacific Global Medical Center in the Intensive Care unit. This shocked Tay Arturo. Richard asked him where he is? He wants to go after him. But Tay Arturo didn’t answer. He hung up the phone and directed the cab driver to go straight to Pacific Global Medical Center. (Uh oh)

At Maya’s room Manang Fe, Ehman, Joma, Luke and Nikki were busy decorating the room…hanging up the banner and balloons and preparing the flower vases when Bahala Na Si Batman Joshua and Edz arrive to visit Maya. Joshua asked how Maya is doing? Nikki told him she is still in ICU. The two looked saddened and worried. Downstairs, Tay Arturo made it to the hospital. He asked the front desk where Maya’s room is? The clerk asked him what is his relation to the patient? Tay Arturo said he is her Father. Upstairs, Nanay Teresita is talking to Kute. She is giving her an update of Maya’s condition. She is still sleeping and her level is unchanged. She tells Kute that Abby was just here and her friends from work also came to visit her but they couldn’t all come to see her because they would only allow limited number of people to see her. Kute wants to know if she is eating? Nay T said no because she keeps on sleeping. Kute and Cho on the other hand are still waiting for a chance to get into one of the flights scheduled for the day. So far, there hasn’t been any vacancy. After hanging up the phone, Nanay Teresita stood there outside the glass window just watching Maya. Behind her is Tatay Arturo. He watches her watching Maya. But when Nanay Teresita turned around to get something in the room, he hid himself out of her view. After she is gone down the hallway, he walked to the glass window to watch Maya sleep for a while until a nurse asked him whom he is visiting? He told the nurse he will just come back later. After he left, Nanay Teresita came back not knowing Tatay Arturo was just there. (Waaaa they didn’t see each other and Maya is asleep so she doesn’t know Tay Arturo is there. He looked so sad to see Maya in her condition. Waaaaa! *sniff sniff)

Richard called up Manang Fe to warn her that Tay Arturo is on his way to the hospital. He told Manang Fe that he hasn’t told Nanay Teresita that he found Tay Arturo. He is afraid that she might get surprised to see him. Manang Fe said that she would watch out for Nanay Teresita but she is worried that she doesn’t know how Tatay Arturo look like. She is afraid he’d get passed her. Richard told Manang Fe that he is downstairs at the lobby already but at that moment, he saw Tatay Arturo sitting in the waiting area. He told Manang Fe he found him. When he saw Richard, Tatay Arturo said that he saw them. He wanted to approach them especially Maya while she is in this condition….”They are doing everything for her.” Richard interrupted Tay Arturo’s thoughts. He asked Richard if Nay Teresita knows that they have been talking? Richard shook his head. Tay Arturo thought that was better that she didn’t know. Richard told Tay Arturo that he was going to tell Maya when he returned from Cebu but all of this happened so he didn’t get to tell her. Tay Arturo told Richard to go on ahead because they might need him up there. Richard asked him if he wanted to come with him? Tay Arturo does not think it is a good idea. He thinks it might just be too much for Nanay Teresita if she saw him now. He doesn’t want to further cause her stress. He asked Richard to find him after he checks up on Maya and Nanay Teresita. He wants Richard to update him. “But where are you going to be?” Richard asked. “I’ll be at the chapel.” Tay Arturo replied.

Ang sa kin bago gumawa ng movie si RY, sila muna ni Jodi.Kung hindi man matuloy ang BCWMH movie,ibang movie pwede naman pero sila ni Jodi proven na chemistry nila. Then after that,pwede na sya gumawa ulit ng movie with other actresses.

I love them both individually pero mas grabe yun fondness ko pag together sila. Even yun guestings ni RY pag solo siya, medyo mababa yun level of kilig. I dont know what this show did to me or what kind of chemistry they have but they exude a certain charm as a “team”. Even nga yun solo album ni RY, medyo nakakatampo that he didnt acknowledge the bcwmh family. (kahit hindi individually). No doubt naman that the show paved way for bigger opportunities for everyone in it – RY, JSM and even the other stars. Kaya sana abs-cbn would think twice before ending the show permanently or before having RY team up with another actress.

About the epi pala, kawawa naman si SC, napagalitan ni NT. Isn’t he lovely sa scene na yun? Naalala ko yun nabasag nya yun mamahaling plate ni DE and he was scared kay Manang Fe. Cute cute ni SC. Tapos di pa siya madamayan ni Maya kasi nga abiut kay TA yun isyu ni NT. I love SC sa scenes na parang vulnerable siya sa mga tukso ng kids, sa galit ni Maya – under nga ang peg ni SC. Hirap pa naman suyuin ng dela Rosa women, hahaha!

The kids are so sweet. I always love the scene of SC and his kids hugging each other. Hayyy kung ganyan ang mga pamilya, masaya sana ang mundo.

Nathan Lopez has a twin. si Gammy Lopez. Active sila sa indie films pero yun kanina si Nathan pa rin ata yun. Iba yun face ni Gammy sa kanya.

Basta, I will be the happiest person on earth if:

1. BCWMH would run beyond December. (Ok lang may season break basta hindi pa sya totally magtatapos.)

2. Magkakaroon ng JoChard movie. (Sana they would still do a big screen adaptation of the serye plus another movie with a different storyline.)

Winnie R OntiverosUpstairs Nanay Teresita was still standing vigil over Maya when Richard arrived. She was surprised to see him back so soon (and still wearing the same clothes). Richard asked her if she is ok? Nay T said that she is just worried about Maya. Richard asked her if she wants to go have coffee with him. He told her there is something he wants to tell her. Nay Teresita asked him what is it? Richard told her it is about his trip to Cebu. Nanay Teresita remembered Richard did go to Cebu. She asked him what he did in Cebu? Richard was about to tell her when Dr. Rodriguez interrupted them. He told Richard and Nanay Teresita that he has something to tell them. (aawww shuckssssss!)

At the airport, Kute is still waiting for the ground clerk to see if her and Cho could board the plane when her phone rings. It is Nanay Teresita. She was ecstatic to tell Kute that Maya’s platelet count has improved. It is the first good sign that they got about Maya’s condition. Kute was so happy and shared the good news with Cho. Nanay Teresita told her to tell Cho his prayers were powerful. (So true Nanay Teresita. One can never underestimate the power of prayers.) Nay T told Kute to forget about coming to Manila so Cho won’t have to miss school. Kute agreed but she wants to speak to Maya. Nay T said that she has gone back to sleep now but when she wakes up, they will give her a call right away. (Yeay! Such good news) Kute and Cho finally could breath well.

In the room, they are almost done decorating when Richard came back. He gives them the good news about Maya’s platelet count. They were all ecstatic. Luke hugged Abby and told her her Magic Kiss is super effective. Richard noticed that Nanay Teresita wasn’t there. He asked Manang Fe where she is? Manang Fe said she hasn’t made it back yet. Richard suddenly got worried. On her way to the room, Nanay Teresita met Dr. Rodriguez in the hallway. He told her he was about to go to the ICU to tell them that they are gearing up to move Maya back to her room. Nanay Teresita said Maya would be very happy to hear the good news. After the doctor left, she felt the urge to go to the Chapel. (Uh oh here it comes.)

In the Chapel, Tatay Arturo was fervently praying, his eyes closed and his head bowed when Nanay Teresita walks in. She saw someone there but didn’t notice him. She knelt in front of Tatay Arturo and started praying herself. When Tatay Arturo opened his eyes, he was surprised to see her. He stood there shocked and couldn’t move. Nanay Teresita felt someone watching her. She slowly turned around to see Tatay Arturo. (Waaaa! I can’t believe we have to wait till tomorrow. I am, once more. Left hanging like a MONKEY! ☹ )

Next Time on BCWMH

Richard finds Tatay Arturo at the chapel and asked him if he saw Nanay Teresita. He asked him what she said? Nanay Teresita was surprised to learn that Richard knew about Tatay Arturo. Richard said he was the one who searched for him. Nanay Teresita was very upset. She told him that there are things that he didn’t know anything about that he shouldn’t have meddled. Richard was feeling really bad over what happened with Nanay Teresita and it showed on his face when he was sitting with Maya. She asked him what is the matter and if he has a problem? Richard told Maya it is nothing. But she knows better and pumps him to tell her. Richard told Maya that he was just worried about her. Nanay Teresita asked Maya that if she were given an opportunity to see her father again, how would she feel? Maya didn’t answer right away.

AnonymousRichard’s love for Maya is not the showy kind. He is more into taking charge and doing things that would make Maya happy. A touch of the hand, the shoulder may not be much but it does convey what is in Richard’s heart. Inner strength or being brave, Richard has to be for Maya.

The Lim children relates to the father because they know how much he loves Maya. And they themselves have come to love Ate Maya just as Maya loves them.

As much as Nanay Teresita did not want to go home to the condo, she had no choice when Richard reminded her that Maya will need her so she has to rest and does not get sick herself.

It would seem to have been a good omen when the Lim children has all paraphernalia of making sure that Ate Maya’s room is decorated. With the help of Joma, Manang Fe and Emman, Luke, Nikki and Abby had the room ready. Josh (bahala na si batman) and Edzalin Viray visits too.

Richard meets Corinne and settles that wedding is still on though postponing is an option depending on Maya’s recovery.

Abby had her moment with Ate Maya with their signature thumbs up, kapit bisig and flying kiss.

The good news is Maya’s platelet count is now going up and she will be transferred back to her private room. No need for Kute and Cho to go to Manila,

Oh, oh, Nanay Teresita senses a person behind her and looks………she finally sees Tatay Arturo. The next scene is a bit incomplete and would seem that Nanay Teresita is not happy with Richard’s involvement with Arturo’s presence. (Richard, I feel for you, we all know that you just want Maya happy and you are right, Maya is praying that she finds her father, thank you, now Tatay Arturo will have a chance to go face to face and address the issue with his family and the Dela Rosas will finally have their questions answered).

Everything you mentioned is right but lets not forget that Luke gave up his trip to Singapore for Ate Maya. He said he couldn’t leave knowing she is in ICU and fighting to get better. I also love the reaction of Luke to Abby after Richard shared with them the news that Maya’s platelet count have gone up. He kissed Abby and cheered that her magic kiss worked. Ang galeng ano? Wala pa yung “none of your business” in tagalog ni NT??

Ang bantay kay Mayabels sa hospital si NT……………..yung gusto ni Maya na maligo, magshampoo………..pero di raw pwede sabi ni NT. Lalagyan na lang daw ng cologne.

Parang ganyan din ako pagnahohospital………gusto ko na maligo rin!

When life push us to our core and the ghosts of the past come haunting us down, weighing us down leaving us with no space to breath, no strength to go on, not even words or the right words to utter… we can always dig deeper within us and find that inner courage to take everything in, stop if we must, let everything sink in, cry if we have to, let out those pent up emotions for only then can we assess the situation objectively and with rationality in mind, and eventually come up with logical options or solutions and finally do the right thing. And while it takes guts to face the enormity of the situation, if we are brave enough to open our minds as well as our hearts, with the gentle help of time, we can transcend and surpass everything, let go and move on. For only then can we truly have that inner peace when we can finally accept the situation, forgive, forgetting the pain in order to finally move on and move forward, free of guilt, free of pain and full of hope that better things will be forthcoming…

As Nanay Teresita (NT) felt someone was watching her, she turned around, saw Tatay Arturo (TA), froze momentarily and all those 15 years of pent up emotions – anger, resentment, longing, the love and hate feelings, the insurmountable unanswered questions, all came rushing to her being. With no words coming out initially, she had the courage to collect her composure and left the chapel when TA begged her to stop and tried to talk to her. Emotions running wild, she bravely uttered few words she could muster that summed up every raw emotion that suddenly came rushing back from years of suppression. As she tried to grasped what had just happened, Richard with humility apologized, bravely accepted her wrath and explained his reason for searching TA. He explained his intention out of love for Maya, to make her happy, to fill that void in her. And yet again she found her inner courage to compose herself and restrained herself trying to understand Richard’s actions which she eventually confirmed when she directly asked her daughter of her wishes to see her father again. And now that the issue about Arturo’s out in the open, she will have to find it in her heart to confront all those emotions and settle it once and for all.

TA, Richard and Maya each displayed courage given the situation they encountered. TA, not knowing how his family would react of his presence put on a brave front and rushed to the hospital to check on Maya’s condition and when the inevitable happened, bravely accepted NT’s wrath; humbly sought for forgiveness and understanding for showing up after all these years. Full of remorse, he tried to find the right words attempting to explain even when words eluded him. And when he was met by Richard, he took the blame for NT’s hostile reaction and accepted his recklessness and irresponsibility for showing up and opening old wounds after all these years. And as the gravity of his appearance sank in, however conflicted, no matter how he longed to stay to tell his side, see Maya, he bravely conceded, accepted his defeat and walked away for Teresita and Maya’s sake… at least for the time being. Richard, similarly, realizing what had happened, sought NT to humbly take responsibility and apologized for whatever pain TA’s presence had been triggered. On the other hand, when asked by NT, Maya knowing how hurt NT had been of her Tatay’s disappearance, found that courage to say what’s on her heart all along and confessed her longing to see her father, get some answers, to understand what had happened, and for that needed closure in order for her to have that peace of mind she wanted before her wedding.

When all is said and done, courage is really what it takes to stand up and speak… as it is what it takes to sit down and listen… It is that powerful choice we all make, that choice to move forward… with purpose in mind… regardless of what it takes. And as Mary Anne Radmacher quoted, “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is that quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow.”

Gusto ko yung sinabi ni Maya na not necessarily expect na babalik sa kanila si TA,gusto niya lang makita bago makasal.

Fafa GuzzyI thought that Kute & Cho will be flying to Manila to visit Maya and eventually I was hoping na umaatikabong dramahan and sumbatan ang magaganap kasi she will have the chance to see their father. Her reaction will be much different from that of Aling Teresita and Maya. Anyway, it’s not the right time pero malapit na. I am really glad that Maya is back.

Anyway, I am an avid fan of this teleserye right from the start … not as huge as everyone else specially yung talagang they copy Maya & Richard’s wardrobe like that featured in Che Che Lazaro’s show. Well, even if one is not a huge fan per se everyone is entitled to their own opinion be it just one line or one word of their own review as HAPPY, KILIG, BORING etc. etc. it’s their own opinion and as perplexing as it is we have to RESPECT it! Just because it’s not in tune to what this “forum” is all about as they “claim”, ( BTW: May I remind you that this was created by an admin from ABS-CBN and not by just one person or group) it doesn’t mean that we have to draw animosity with that particular person who happen to just have voice out his/her own analysis. It is their choosing whether they like it or not to continue watching this teleserye.

Lumabas si SC sa chapel, he found NT sitting sa bench. Nilapitan nya si NT at nag sorry about TA. Sabi ni NT “nag uusap kayo ni Arturo” (yung sa teaser). Tapos nag explain SC na he wants to make Maya happy. Kasi nababanggit daw ni Maya when Mamang died, and preps for wedding started, parang may kulang. Kaya naisipan nya pahanap si TA. From there, may sinabi pa NT pero not dun sa teaser. Sorry i forgot. After saying that, she walked out lang. Hindi nya pinagalitan si SC

THen next na ata yung scene na nililipat si Maya sa priv room. Si TA naka silip na palihim. Somehow, naaninag ni Maya na there’s someone behind. Nung pagtingin ni Maya behind, sabay tago naman si TA. So di sila nagkita.

Maybe they just wanted to stick dun sa lubos ang pasasalamat ni NT kay SC kaya they removed the scene where NT is mad at SC?

Marya VMother Theresa, she is not. All throughout this series, she has always maintained that her love for Arturo transcends all flaws and transgressions. To her credit, she may have done this to protect him, and to protect her children from the shadows of anger, fear, doubt, insecurity and resentment.

She did her best to fill the gaping hole left by an errant father, keeping the hurt from them, allowing only the loneliness and love to show, for their sakes, for her sake. But keep a secret and bury the hurt and anger, she did. Now they rear their ugly heads, leaving a remorseful, defeated Arturo, and an apologetic, chastised Richard in it’s wake.

On the flip side, jubilation over Maya’s recovery was not lost as the children made her travel from ICU to her room such a happy, touching scene, their excitement so palpable as they welcome her to her lovingly decorated room. Though not to be ignored were the cute scenes between Richard and Maya, and the touching scene between the mother and daughter, I loved the scene with the children the most.

As I reflected on what I should contribute to our forum today, I am once again compelled to address Nanay Teresita’s plight. I recognize that she remains imprisoned in her anger and feelings of bitterness. She is far from being able to forgive Tatay Arturo. Her anger is clouding over her judgment and is eating at her moral standards. She is temporarily forgetting the basic cathechical teaching that she grew up with. That for “God to forgive us of our sins, we must first forgive those who trespassed against us.” She only needs to recite the Lord’s Prayer, engage her heart and her mind as she does and totally immerse herself in understanding what the prayer means. Only then will she gain the wisdom and guidance she earnestly seeks. She knows that she needs total peace and she can only experience it, when she will finally let go.

To forgive is to release. Let it go. Freely and wholeheartedly grant freedom and blessing. It has very little to do with feelings or even trust. Forgiveness is simply a decision to let go of our regrets and our own view of justice. We have to remember and take to heart the Scriptural passages, “Vengeance is mine, says the Lord” (Romans 2:19) and “Never let the sun go down on your anger.” (Ephesians 4:26)

And when forgiveness is extended, it has to be real. The seeking and granting of forgiveness are profoundly serious acts. They demand full attention and deep sense of reality. Hence, it is imperative that Nanay Teresita confront Tatay Arturo. Yes, it will be the most uncomfortable meeting that she will ever attend to and definitely it will hurt like hell for her to go through it. But for the true seed of forgiveness to take root, there has to be a meeting of their minds and hearts.

The choice to forgive is a deliberate and purposeful act. It recognizes the full range of possibilities and consequences, and then makes a decision to forgive. To forgive is to choose to repair the relational wounds and stop the psychological and emotional festering that has gone on far too long. To forgive is to make a choice to break the pattern. It takes everyone off the hook. It allows for a new start and a clean slate.

Lily Tomlin captured a wonderful summary of forgiveness: To forgive is to give up all hope for a better past.

In view of God’s incomprehensible generosity, how can we remain locked up in the prison of resentment? We are free to forgive each other freely and generously because we have been freely and generously forgiven.

forgiveness/letting go in the story. Just like you, I would rather like NT to confront TA even though it would bring so much
heartache and pain for what he has done to the family. Forgiveness I think is a long process. NT does not have to absolve
his wrongdoing but for her to find healing, letting go and peace on her heart. Easier said than doing it for sure.

I agree that the road to forgiveness is a long process. We just need to remember that feelings have to be disengaged when we make the decision to forgive. Start with simply uttering the words in your mind. Then practice saying it in a whisper. Not long after, it will become easier to say it out loud and will probably become more convincing when uttered in front of the person who needs to hear it. God initially does His work to prepare our hearts to let go of everything that is making us bitter and resentful. He gently provides the guidance in the process. We just have to be willing to surrender the control to Him. Thus the saying, let go and let God.

it is as if he’s waiting for someone to ask him to stay. but no one came. my wishful thinking is for tatayA

Bravo Nanay Tere for the execution. I love it. Even TA is very good, shows in his face being a remorseful
husband. The reaction of NT is normal, before you can accept you will have to undergo and process
denying the person, being angry and full of resentment but thru time acceptance is inevitable. During
the conversation of NT and Maya, NT realized that Maya would still love to see her father and I am sure
Maya will be the person na mapalambot ang puso ni NT, and in the case of Kute, si Cho naman wil pave

Lucy Anne O’CarrollOMG….magaling na c Maya….balik kilig na naman tayo sa LoveBirds natin…..very emotional ung Pag-uusap nina Nanay Tere at Maya…I cried…..its good na di nila pinalabas ung scene na pinagalitan ni Nanay Tere c Ricky boy….kasi masakit din yon ky Ricky eh, he just love Maya too much to make a move like that….YESSSS….sweet na naman ulit ang Mahal na Hari at Princesa.
